I like a lot of impressionist and post-impressionist work.  But I don't really like Fauvism and Expressionism.  I would say art died before 1910... but it was pretty unwell by the time Dada came along! XD


I do quite like geometric abstraction, but I like a nice clean style rather than a painterly style.  But in the age of digital art it's become pretty redundant.

I didn't look at much art honestly. But I know some and I like most. Modern is different. Not bad. But I really hate the prices. You want to make a square? Sure, sell it for 10$. Maybe someone will buy it. Probably not. But put 100k$ price tag on it and its a masterpiece and everyone wants it... Why...

The commodification of art is disappointing.  It makes things more about who the establishment chose to be in or out and then the prices are determined by setting prices based on exclusivity rather than merit.
