Also, it wasn't really a haiku, it was a senryu.  and the syllable thing isn't very strict...


I just try to stick to it personally.


In the loose use of the term though Hell, an haiku is a poem made of three lines which create a thought and then give it a twist within one breath.  The syllables are usually 5 for the first line, 7 for the second and 5 for the third.
