Elsewhere in the hospital a patient was seizing in his bed. The halls echoed with an alarm as he went into cardiac arrest. A doctor and two nurses came rushing in with a crash cart, charging the defibulator.
"Everyone, CLEAR!!" The doctor pressed the paddles against the foxes chest and unleashed a torrent of electricity into his heart. The life support system beep twice and continued its deathly scream. The nurses turned up the voltage of the paddles, unaware that the patient's skin just malformed itself as if something was slithering underneath.
"Again, CLEAR!!" The doctor pressed the paddles down once again and sent the voltage into the patient's heart. Suddenly an earpiercing screech came from the patients mouth, drowning out the alarm and the life support in its ferocity. Massive bladed tentacles burst out of the patient's chest like a madman's Jack-in-the-Box and tore at the unsuspecting support staff. One of the nurses was decapitated immediately. The other was torn in half and was still concious as she bled out. The doctor was hoisted high into the air as the roiling mass of flesh fell out of its now dead host.
A single amber eye bulged from the center of the mass and glared at the one who had caused it pain. Several smaller tentacles sprouted from the mass and embedded themselves into the doctor's arms, legs, head, and neck. The tendrils pale yellow color flushed into a deep maroon as they drained the doctor of his life's blood. Finished with its meal it drops the doctor, now a shrivled specter of himself, and turns to its old host.
It looks with disinterest at its old home as its pale skin turns pure white and begins growing fur. Anyone nearby could hear the cracking and popping of its body as it took a humanoid form. Soon the patient was searching his dead self, looking for the wristband that so commonly came with hospital visits. Finding it, he tears the arm from its socket to get a closer look at the wristband.
It read: Entaru Korin
"Entaru...I like it...thanks for the name meatbag." Entaru dropped the arm to the ground and, taking his hosts garments consisting of a brown sleeveless trenchcoat and khaki shorts, walked out of the room.
"Is anyone else feeling a bit hungry?......."
