i finally moved out of the house I was raised in. The thing I looked forward to the most was to burn incense and practice my morning meditation freely. My Dad, smart as he is, has very centered views, and what he preaches to do, lead by example, he does not do. Forcing the words of the bible on me and not allowing me to do yoga, meditate or center myself because it was not the ways of the bible, according to him.
But my first full two weeks at my brothers' house, its much more than I could have hoped. Christopher (my brother) and Paul (his boyfriend) we all work on a similar level. We belt the Lord of the Rings soundtrack in the car, we use prayer beads, we play video games, and eating together isn't stressful in the slightest.
I got a cell phone that I trust more, and that I can just turn on real quick and check e-mail with. He supports me wanting to stream and run my own fursuit making business, which is amazing.
They wake up early in the morning like I do, so I can actually do things instead of having to sit in bed until my dad would wake up.
It's hard staying in contact with people right now, but I'm nearly done putting all my things away. I think I've gotten a job, my application just has to go through the City and I'll be set for now!
Overall the environment is just... lighter than at my parents' home. They are great people, but we don't think on the same page, especially my dad and I. He still considers me a sheep and doomed to the system of the New World Order and whatnot, but he doesn't say it every day at dinner anymore, instead dinner time is simply talking about each others' day, or watching a movie.
These last few weeks were a wonderful change. I wish I could spend more time talking with my best friend, but I've been busy trying to get everything done so I do have the time sooner than later. But overall, this month is starting out fantastic.
