For those who don't know the game,
War Thunder is a Free-To-Play Vehicular Warfare MMO/Simulator taking place in World War 2 and the Korean War. Currently, players can make use of Airplanes and Tanks to wreak havoc on the battlefield. The gameplay is intense, unique, and rather rewarding. The community is relatively mature (there's always that
one person) and there are plenty of community events for players to take part in, including but not limited to Holiday in-game giveaways, daily bonuses, Weekly bonus events and plenty of little acts of kindness. The game is in its beta stages, and plans are set in motion to add Naval warfare to complete the game, so expect updates from time to time.
So as for the main focus of this topic, does anyone else play this game? If so, feel free to initiate some general discussion regarding the game! I'd love to join up with some of my fellow forum goers on the game and kick some ass.
For me, I play mostly arcade mode, and haven't really dabbled in the recent addition of tanks. I am that guy who averages 7 or 8 kills in lower tiers, but I get about half of that in the higher tiers. I primarily use fighters, with a bomber or two to cover objectives as necessary. My favorite nations are Russia and Britain, with a close third in Germany. I focus more on enjoying the game than the grind, so I'm not overly high-leveled, hence my love for Lower Tier stuff.
