Problem solved. Don't worry, all good now.

Isn't really an issue but:


TLDR: I can't keep myself awake during watching a documentary.


In detail:
When I'm in class at school, we obviously watch a lot of documentaries. I find them interesting and I want to watch them, but every time we do, I always start feeling tired and drowsy even though the lights are on. I often miss out on extremely important facts and information. It's only started happening this term, and I'm not sleep deprived in anyway. I also don't eat/drink anything that makes you 'hyperactive' such as energy drinks or coffee because they make me restless. I'm in 8th grade. I start drinking water when the tiredness kicks in to try to stay awake. I once slept through an entire documentary about fishing or something and when I woke up basically the entire class was crying and I didn't know what was going on.


Yeah, this is a huge problem to my education.

Any suggestions?

Caffeine.

You may become restless because you might consume too much, but a small amount would be ok. I was drinking coffee when I was 11 just to stay awake when doing homework. 12 years later not much has changed.

Pro tip: If you wake up and everyone is crying then it's good you weren't paying attention. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Is this class of yours right after lunch? When I was in school it was really hard to stay awake sometimes in classes I had right after lunch since your body is expending a ton of energy to digest what you just ate. It didn't help that when you watch videos they tend to turn the lights down or off which signals your brain to start going to sleep.


FYI I wouldn't recommend getting on the caffeine addiction train.

anything
