  im thinking of joining either SL or imvu i was wondering if maybe someone could tell me if its good or not. im wondering if you can create a furry on it right away or start off human like in imvu.

I think they're the same in that respect. Starting out as human with the option of acquiring mods with the in-game money systems.
They are made by the same people after all.
