Okay, My friend Gavin saw the furry episode of Spike TVs "1000 Ways To Die" and he doesn't understand that they were kidding and that that is not what all furries are like, he doesn't know that I'm a furry yet and I want to tell him, but he has the way wrong idea, how do I explain to him what a furry is and also explain that I'm a furry?

Oh yah, that episode... Well.. I'd tell him that im a fur, if he freaks out, tell him that it isn't what being a furry is anc explain how... but try to tell him at a good situation, i've lost a few friends because i should have waited telling em...

you could try explaining it to him, might work, but theres a lot of people who's opinion wont really change even if you do tell them :/

My friend started saying furries are evil, and I got annoyed and started to lecture him. He asked if I was a furry and I said yes. That's the first time that I've said outright that I'm a furry. Nothing happened everything's fine. But then not all people are the same, but if your friend is your friend, the same will happen to you.
