Title: Lost: Tropic Crash
Post by: Fable on January 09, 2017, 09:15:46 PM
It was a good flight, everything going as planned until the pilot flipped on the seat belt sign and the plane started to jolt around.
Some people had to really struggle back to their seats without being jostled around, experienced fliers thought nothing of it as they experienced turbulence more than once, other people were full on panicking already.
The real panic set in when the back of the plane seemed to just vanish as it was ripped away. The plane fell into a head spin right towards the ground with no way to stop it. The force of the fall ripped away the nose of the plane as well leaving a hunk of plane free falling to the ground full of passengers.

Talon felt something cold on his arm. Wet. He turned his head barely able to open his eyes and watched as a small wave rose forward, splashed his arm and retreated back to the ocean. There were lines of red trailing from his arm back to the water. But all of this made no sense to his tired frazzled mind. A very realistic dream?
He moved his arm away from the next wave letting his claws drag through the sand. ‘sand…. It feels so real…..’ Pain shot up his arm after moving it. That pain seemed to reawaken him to his surroundings. It was at first faint but he thought he could hear screaming….?
As he pulled himself up off the sand everything became more and more clear. He did hear screaming! When he turned around his heart stopped and every part of his body felt cold. He watched breathless as people scrambled around the burning wreckage of twisted metal.

Raz wasn't so lucky as the cage he was in was tightly compressing body, but he could still breath fine, however his cage landed not too far from Talon and it was slowly being pulled into the water.

Raz could see Talon very slightly but he only looked like a blob, just like everything else due to the blood from his brow going down on his eyes, but he could hear others so he started to cry very loudly, his cries echoing over the other screams.
His wings were being tightly compressed and both in turn had become dislocated but he couldn't feel them at all right now, mainly due to that his whole body hurt.

Raz's cage loosely outlined his body except for the actual cage door which was still intact, and the cage itself was made of a hard to cut alloy.

Quite a ways off a burnt suitcase was hanging from a tree inside the broken off first class section.

"Ugh," Ratface said as he was slowly regaining consciousness. He was also recalling very slowly what had happened as his eyes were opening up to see a bright blue sky with smoke partly covering it. Steadily his hearing was returning as well.
"Argh, hmmpf," he was fighting to get to his feet and trying to block out all incoming noises, screams of people, agonsing torture to his ears.
He did not care to hear people suffer, the loud noises, everything else.
Then, from a distance, he heard a cry penetrating all other screams.
"What the hell?" He stood up and knacked his back and neck. Everything felt so stiff. The rat took a while to readjust his orientation and realisation finally hit him. He had crashed and was one of the survivors.

Seeing various bodies laying about and the plane in pieces, he could only think to himself how unlucky he was.
"Christ, why am I alive?" He mumbled.
He would have rather have died from the crash than to try to survive on an island awaiting rescue.
The contractor, he thought to himself with wide eyes.
Partially flailing, stumbling back on the ground, desperately trying to find his temporary 'boss'. It would all be for naught and in fact he could be in grave danger if this guy would have died in the plane crash.
Staggering around the bodies and unconscious people to find the contractor, he was slowly approaching the side of the water. Then he stood still, shocked.
"Sh...." He wanted to start cursing, but his voice was drowned out by the noise of a new wave the sea was bringing in onto shore, splashing over the thing that upset Ratface the most right now at this point in time in his life.
He found the dead body of his contractor, and he couldn't have been more annoyed or more upset at life. He needed this guy alive. Of course, they needed to be rescued in the first place, but being rescued and not having the guy with him... He would get into heaps of trouble.
It was not relieving at all to him he was still alive. He would have rather been dead.

Being the type of person he is, he also does not want to take his own life, no matter how dire the situation. Self-preservation is highest priority to him, and while he could have died due to the plane crashing, he didn't. Ratface knew he had to learn to face this fact. There was no other choice than to push on. He could never willingfully take his own life.

The white rat finally calmed down and took a look at his hands. The gloves were still on his hands.
"Good," he sighed. The only thing he had he knew he could keep under control in his life.
Although the gloves were slightly damaged and scruffed, they were still covering his finger tops and most of his hands.

Looking along the shoreline, he found the sound of the cries that have been bothering him up until this point. He wanted it to end.
Following the shoreline, he headed to a cage that was slowly being taken away by the sea.
I could leave the sea to take care of it... but that is going to take too long, he thought to himself.
He reached the cage and looked at it without yet touching it. He saw the small creature within it, a dragon.
"Well, well... Interesting critter you are," he said to the dragon struggling in the cage.
"Will you stop making such a noise if I help you out? You seem to be in pain, and the water creeping up on you is probably not the most comforting thought to you."
After a short pause to let the dragon think, Ratface slowly reached out to grab the cage. "Now don't bite or you're going back." He picked up the cage, walked away from the shoreline mroe closer to where Ratface found himself waking up prior, nearing a treeline going more in-land. He placed the cage down and opened it up, carefully and delicately trying to get the critter out without adding to his pain.

Raz looked around as he couldn't see who was talking to him, looking around frantically, but when he recognized a slice of help in the voice, he lowered his crying to a soft sobbing noise and let Ratface carry him I'm the cage.

The cage door seemed to have opened dispite how well the condition of it was in, but Raz was happy for this as he was pulled out; Both of his wings flopping around as he was lifted which caused him to start crying again as the ground against the joints that they belong to; so much sadness and pain could be heard in Raz's voice.

Around his neck was some sort of collar with a pendant on it that had a weird insignia on it, but despite what it is, it could be told that it wasn't something good.

Ratface cringed when the previously-caged creature was making these horrible noises again, but the rat could notice he was trying his best to not be as loud as he was before.
He took a look at the wings.
"Yeah, those seem dislocated..." He did not want to touch the wings, but had to. The last thing he wanted to do was help another living being, but he just wanted the creature to be quiet. Surviving on an island with others... and if he would dispose of this critter... he was not sure if he could do it without anyone noticing it. Saving the dragon was his only option here.
Besides, maybe the dragon will remember this. For now, though, Ratface just wanted to get the loud noises to stop.

The rat looked into the dragon's eyes. "Ok, I want you to listen closely. It's very important and I do not want to repeat myself." He waited a moment before continuing, "Your wings are dislocated, it's causing most of your pain right now. It's an easy fix but might startle you. It will hurt briefly."
He paused again, thinking whether or not to stress what he already said previously. He decided there would be no harm in mentioning it again: "And I really, really do not want you to bite or scratch me. If I wanted you dead or to suffer, I would have left you in that cage to be swallowed up by the water, understand?"

Al's eyes opened as he lay on the sand. His head was spinning due to the nature of the crash and he was bleeding in a few places. Not a new sensation for him. The pain didn't bother him as much as the disorientating whip-lash and impact to his head, but he placed a palm to his left ear and attempted to stand.

Stumbling at first, he managed to get to his feet, surveying the wreckage and trying to ignore the people running around like headless chickens. My luggage... Need to salvage it... I don't see myself making a radio any time soon, but the blades will definitely come in handy. Al looked around the various bags, both on land and in water, trying to locate his own. He wanted to avoid the possibility that his sunk for now.

(Gonna leave this here for now.)

Blood from his brow could be seen dripping into his eyes so his eyes were slightly red from rawness and we're slightly goopy with a pink goop from the eye's liquid merging into his tears.

Raz had tears running down his face when he was directed to look at Ratface, and he did listen but was crying still, but very softly.

Raz slowly and shakily nodded to Ratface in confirmation to what he was saying.

Talon still felt very stunned and he held his arm close to his chest in pain. Then he remembered he wasn't traveling alone. This brought on a wave of adrenaline. He needed to find Erin. She was traveling with him to help get his story published- that part didn't matter as much to Talon as it had a few hours ago.
Talon bolted across the sand calling out her name. His voice came out horse and raw. He called for her looking at every person he passed. When he didn't see her he looked to the burning wreckage. He had to try and find her. He ran into a part of the plane. There were many bodies there- some still strapped into their seats. He hiked up his sweat shirt over his nose to keep from breathing in the smoke as he walked carefully yet quickly down the isle to where his seat had been. There he found the doe Erin. She wasn't moving, strapped into her seat, with blood running down her face. Talon struggled to get her unhooked and pulled her into his arms. The pain that surged through his one arm and shoulder was horrific. But he just bit into his sweat shirt and carried her out of the plane hoping she was still alive.

Rhudé slowly opened hir eyes, hir head clotted from the smoke which surrounded the area. Remembering back to what happened, sie realised how lucky sie was to be alive. No one survives a plane crash, I can't believe I have... Sie felt around on the soft sand around hir, trying to get a sense of hir surroundings; to try and knock hir brain back into functioning. Sie slowly got up, vision still blurred by the impact. Slowly, the noises came back, filling hir ears with piercing shrieks and the sound of burning plane fuselage. I wonder if I'm the only one who survived, sie thought, and proceeded to look around for any other people who may have survived the tragedy.

The burning remains of the plane lay nearby the stunned coyote. Sie looked around the wreck to try and spot any further clues of any other survivors. Through hir blurred vision sie could see a person dragging out another person out of the wreckage. Quickly, sie made her way over there to try and offer assistance. "Do you know if there are any other survivors in there who can't get out?" sie asked anxiously.

"I-I don't know" Talon panted out through the plane as the coyote helped carry Erin to a safe spot in the sand. "I saw many in the plane but I don't know if they're.... alive."
Talon returned his attention to Erin but he feared he was no longer with them. she was cold to the touch and he didn't see any life in her. the pain coursing through arm plus the loss of the only animal he knew here forced tears to his eyes but he shook them away. he looked back to the coyote "I-I'm going to try and get people away from the wreckage..."

"Got it," sie said. Quickly scanning the area, Rhude ran towards the plane and darted inside, looking for anyone who may have survived the wreck. There was nothing but dead bodies. The sight of the injuries on the deceased bodies stunned Rhude, but sie knew sie had to carry on. "Hello?? Anyone here?!" sie shouted again and again, with no response each time. The smoke was choking hir, eventually forcing her back out on to the beach. There was nothing but dismay. The golden brown, picturesque beach was littered with debris and bodies; patches of scarlet blood dotted the sand. Sie saw the hyena sie previously spoke to guiding people away to safety. Still stunned by the sight of so many dead bodies, sie half stumbled, half walked towards the group. As sie walked, sie realised that hir leg was bleeding significantly. The pain had become noticeable as the adrenaline began to secede from hir bloodstream.

Ratface noticed the dragon listened, albeit it with difficulty. He didn't blame the critter for that though, seeing the shape he was in. He just really did not want to get bitten and wanted to make that clear. Seeing the dragon listened intently, Ratface was now finally sure it was safe for him to proceed.
But first he had to prepare himself for it, so he took his time to clean off the blood coming from the dragons brow with a dark purple handkerchief he still had in his breast pocket of his suit.
"It's making you seem as if you have pink eyes. Too girly a colour for a dragon such as yourself."
After cleaning the blood away, Ratface said: "Ok I don't have clean fresh water nearby to help rinse the blood that went into your eyes, but with the remainder of your tears it should flush out nicely."

Now ready, the rat took one of the wings. "Ok, here we go." He immediately snapped one back in place.
He never was one for counting down and lying about when he would do it. See... instead of counting down 3, 2, 1 and then doing it, people would often do 3 and maybe a 2 and then do it, catching a person by surprise. Ratface would skip this nonsense all together and just rather get the job done and over with.
Before there might be any form of struggle, Ratface immediately went for the other wing and snapped it back in place.
His fear of being bitten rose again and he was desperately trying to thing of a way to defend himself against bites and claw marks.

Al eventually spotted his luggage, but it was in the water. Not helpful, considering that the salt water would make the metal components rust faster and the plastic components smell worse. "No matter..." He said as he walked down into the water and dragged the bag back onto shore. Now that his luggage was secure, he could go off and set up camp for the night, as well as possibly locate a source of fresh water. Food wasn't of the highest priority at the moment.

The wolf opened the bag and looked through what he had. Clothes, papers, a knife and his katana. He equipped the knife and the katana onto his person, before closing the bag back up. Everything else could make valuable and easy fuel for fires. Especially the papers.

Alright Al... 3 minutes without air, 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food. I know I can wait a little bit more for food, but water is going to be a problem for me. First priority is setting up a little camp from which I can explore outwards. Then, water. Food can come last.

He looked to the sky to attempt to get some sense of the time, based on the position of the sun.

Raz closed his eyes when his brow was cleaned off.

Raz winced when his wing was grabbed as it slightly hit it's home joint, and as it was popped in, he let out a loud cry, and as the second was popped back in, he let out a deafening cry that seemed to pierce through all noise briefly, and then he lowered to a constant sobbing as the pain from popping them back in left a tiny lingering pain, but through it all, he didn't retaliate against Ratface.

Soon enough he started to blink rapidly as he was regaining some vision, enough to see clear outlines of bodies, but no bodily features.

Ratface was very glad to take note of the fact that the dragon -while wincing and making a few slight spontaneous movements- had not taken it up upon him to bite the rat.
He sighed and whiped his forehead from sand and sweat. "Good."

Thinking for while, letting the dragon rest a bit, Ratface started to notice movement.
Other survivors.
During this thought he was trying to pinpoint who was moving where exactly. Being rather far from the wreckage in comparison to the others he was seeing moving around, and having minor nearsightedness, it took quite a while before he could see who was who.
That's... a hyena and a coyote... but doing what exactly so close to the plane?
Ratface looked further. He also saw a black-coloured character near the shore, possibly looking at some luggage they found. They looked rather smartly dressed.
Hmm, kind of dressed like me. Is probably also some hotshot. He grinned at the thought.
There were a few others moving about, a couple of survivors, be it well-alive or near death and clinging to the last bit of life left they have.
Most of these survivors might die soon. Feeling no regret at the thought, as it was just a factual statement he was making.

Leaning back, Ratface closed his eyes and did what could be called a quick rundown of meditating.
The otehr survivors could deal with their own problems, but what was his main concern?
After narrowing down what was most important, he realised it was water. And the little dragon needed water too for his wounds. Where would he start looking for water? It seemed like a pretty large one just from when he had regained consciousness and took a look around. The coastline went on for quite a while in both directions, and he feared that the treeline would merge into a full-blown forest if he would enter.
No, first rest. Regain bearings. Let the dragon rest for a moment. Maybe it can tag along. Its chances of survival might be just as slim staying here.
Suddenly a thought occured to him.
Medicine! Antibiotics! They might be some minor painkillers like aspirin or paracetemol in the luggage laying about.
As soon as the dragon would have had some rest, Ratface would go look.

Once Talon was sure there was no one trapped in the plane he decided to finally get away from the still-burning wreckage. He walked away from the wreckage holding his arm to his chest.
He thought of what he should do next. People will be looking for them, recuse would be on its way- he needed to make something so a passing plane or boat could see them. A fire would be a good place to start, as well as keeping away any local wildlife he hoped.
He would also like to go through the wreckage and look for some food, maybe some water, generally scavenge what he could from the luggage.
but with another surge of pain from his arm he knew what he needed to do first was find out what hurt so badly! he could tell his arm was bleeding and had been for a while but couldn't see the cut, only the gash in his brightly colored rainbow jacket. The bright florescent colors didn't look as nice with the sand, blood stains, and slight burn marks.
he saw a few other survivors not far away from where he was, one person looked lucky enough to have found his luggage. He also saw a rat and what looked like a young dragon.
Once sitting in the sand he started to work his arm free of the jacket. Tossing the jacket aside he did not like what he saw- buried in his skin was a glimmering shard of metal. It wasn't that big but he wasn't sure how he'd get ahold of it to get it out!

Rhudé collapsed at the base of a tree, tired and in pain. Sie lifted up her trouser leg to see what was causing the pain and saw a long gash running the length of hir leg. Crap, sie said, getting back up to try and find something to wrap the wound in. Looking around, sie saw someone's suitcase which had landed not far from where sie was; sie walked over to it and opened it up. Inside was some clothes, toiletries and some sketchbooks. Sie picked up a white t-shirt and began ripping it to form a bandage. Salt water's a good antiseptic, isn't it? sie remembered from school. Slowly, sie got up and walked to the sea, limping as to avoid injuring hirself even more. When sie reached the shimmering water, sie knelt hir injured leg into the sea slowly, as to avoid anymore pain. A small wave splashed some water onto the wound, making hir gasp with pain. Even slower, sie lowered hir leg into the water until it was completely submerged. The stinging which followed made hir howl a little in pain and caused hir eyes to water. The water around the coyote became a stained red as the blood washed into it. After a minute of this sie could bare the pain no longer and began to bandage up hir wounds.

Once the makeshift bandage was applied sie limped back to the tree line and laid down in the warm sand. If sie was going to survive here sie needed a level head; resting would be the best way to clear hir head.

Al was about to make his disappearance into the trees, before he heard a wolf howl not too far away from him. Looking at the water around her leg, he shook his head slowly. She won't get far with that leg of hers. Even if it is bandaged and lightly disinfected, the pain will slow her down. While he thought it would be harder to support two people on his own, another part of him said some companionship will stop him from going insane in the event that he doesn't see any other person for quite some time. And considering his mental state, the last thing he needs is any more insanity. He sighed as he began walking over to Rhudé, towing his luggage behind him. Play nice Al... For now...

Talon had heard the commotion and watched the coyote from earlier debating if he should help but seeing someone else head over Talon put it out of his mind.
He looked over his arm again and took a deep breath counting to three. On three he tried to pull out the piece of metal. He tried multipul times to get a good hold on it. Hurt like all get out but he refused to scream. biting into his lower lip to keep from it. Talon pressed his hand to the injury and just kept pressure on it for now. his mane stood up on point from the pain, making him look like he got an electric shock.
Talon laid back in the sand looking at the sky. He heard the whining and looked over at the dragon. "You ok?" he called out worriedly but not truly willing to get back up again.

Talon sighed and got up walking over, He looked from the dragon to the fancy dressed rat. He thinks many people are dressed a lot nicer then him. "you shouldn't be out in the sun... End up with heat stroke or something." he said to them. "I could carry you to the shade." Talon offers to the dragon he saw struggling. Talon sees the poor dragon isn't in great shape but knows there is nothing he can do about that right now other then offer a bit of help.

The coyote (;)) looked up as someone approached hir. Moving hir paw to block the dazzling sun from hir eyes, sie said, cautiously, "Uh hello? You made it out alive as well?" Sie looked him up and down, trying to figure out if his intentions were good or not, although with so few people left alive, sie couldn't really afford to turn down any help from anyone, especially considering hir mental state.

'this is going to hurt.' Talon thought to himself as he picked up the dragon favoring his arm as much as possible. He tries to be somewhat gentle. "Hey you," Talon says towards the rat "May want to get in the shade as well, we may be here a while." He walks back towards the tree line where his brightly colored sweatshirt still laid. He carefully set the dragon down. He pulled his arm close to his chest again and flopped down into the sand a little ways away.

"Oi, what do you think you're doing?" Ratface grinded his teeth. Being disturbed in his rest and the dragon's, he was getting agitated. Already people were starting to bother him when all he wanted was a bit of peace and quiet before heading out to go look for pain killers.

Once Al was close enough he began to speak to the coyote. "You're not going anywhere with that leg of yours. And considering how we fellow survivors should look out for eachother, I suggest we band together." The wolf looked around at the various other survivors. Realising that he may be in the best condition out of everyone, he thought to himself; I wonder how many of them will make it past the first day... Hopefully, not many.

Rick stared at the sky, laid in a patch of grass.

He didn't quite remember much, apart from sitting on a plane, in fact he was quite confused by the fact that he was lying on the grass, surrounded by huge bushes that blocked out the sunlight. He could hear speaking nearby, but couldn't determine where, he decided to lie back down in the grass, he'd investigate after a brief rest

Rhudé looked at the wolf, then looked at the others. "What about all them over there?" sie asked. Sie then looked at hir leg, rubbing it slightly under the bandage. He was right about hir leg. "It's better if we rest first isn't it? Before running off to find anything in there,"

Al shook his head. "Every minute we lose resting is a minute we could spend building shelter and looking for water." The wolf looked over towards the others. "We'll eventually meet up with them again if they manage to survive the first few nights. After that, it should get easier." The wolf extended a paw towards the coyote. "Now, are you going to come with me? Because I won't wait around here any longer than I have to."

Al pulled Rhudié up, careful not to tug too hard. Afterwards, he slid a shoulder under hirs on the side with the injuried leg and used the other side to carry his back-pack. "Al. The pleasure is yours." He said looking through the tree-line before them. "We should try and get a little bit deep into the jungle. That way, the tree line could protect us from both the sun and the rain. I'll try not to move too fast." He said as he took the first step into the trees.

(sorry ventus I didn't mean to exclude you :(  )

(Don't worry about it ^^ Just was worrying a bit trying to figure out how to get back in, you guy post fast O_o)

Ratface felt a weird sensation in his stomach and throat.
Is this what guilt feels like?
Without showing any change in his emotional state, he stood up.
"It's why I was letting him rest. Moving him around is just as bad as letting him stand up now."
He paused before continuing, having a moment to calm down his mental state. "It doesn't matter as long as he is fine where he is now."
Ratface noticed the hyena was suffering from injuries as well.
"Seems you have some problems yourself too."

Raz heard Ratface and he looked guilty back at him as he got up and came walking his way.

"Don't come back, stay where you are! And lay down, damnit." As he noticed the dragon working up the strength to return to him.
If they would just give me some more time... he thought to himself.
Ratface had a small twitch in his left eye.
"Sorry to be rude, but Hyena-dude, considering your situation, why don't you stay with this dragon... critter? You're both in pain. I'll look for some painkillers. It was my plan anyways, I actually have a soaring headache myself."
This last part was partially a lie, as he only had a minor headache and couldn't care less about his own headache.
"After I get some pain medication for the both of you, I'll take a look at that... thing in your arm. After that I can worry about the sun and shade, and all that luxury."

Ratface turned towards the wreckage to pinpoint where most of the luggage fell so he could easily look into various suitcases in close vacinity to each other.

Rhudé squeezed the wolf tight so sie didn't slip. It was good to have some support; sie knew it would have been difficult making it alone. "So, what's with the instinct to flee? Wouldn't it be better if we all stayed together?" sie asked as they walked out into the woods

"thanks.." Talon said to the rat watching him walk away. Medicine would be good but he knew once he had the strength he would have to bury Erin, it was only right. But he'd wait with the 'dragon-critter' for now and rest like he was told- It was sorta in the plans already. "if you need something just wake me up." he said to the dragon as he put his jacket under his head like a pillow and tried to rest.

"Sure," Ratface said as he walked off to look for paracetemol and aspirin. He took a quick look behind him to see if the two were doing well, or at least... OK.

He stood next to a few suitcases.
Good, now for my handywork...
Ratface took off his gloves. He would usually keep them on when picking locks, but considering the situation, he doubted anyone would have a need for his fingerprints. He preferred to work without gloves anyway.

The first suitcase unlocked. He looked through it quickly. Apparently a woman owned this suitcase. Lots of clothing, some make-up things, a brush, some shampoo... Nothing interesting or helpful.
He went on to the next few and got a bit luckier.
While not a lot, he managed to get a couple of tablets, mostly paracetemol. This was all he needed, but he decided to look through some more luggage, just in case.

Al kept a completely straight face. "It's easier to find supplies to support two peiple, as opposed to five or six. Besides... more people, means more chances that we're going to get stabbed in the back." As he heard the rustling of leaves as Nick crouched, he placed a paw onto his sword, but kept moving. Al had a few scratches over him, and was bleeding from his forehead. It didn't seem to bother him though, as his gaze kept straight. "I'll be fine. You just worry about that leg of yours." Once they reached the edge of the clearing, he stopped. "Alright. This seems like a good enough place to set up camp. Plenty of room for a fire and make-shift tent."

After a few more suitcases Ratface started to realise they also needed water and food. Water especially to drink down the pain medication.
He put all the paracetemol he found in one bottle, and the aspirin in a different bottle.
Fiddling with the bottles for a while, he sighed when done, then headed back to the already opened suitcases.

"There are some smart enough to pack some drinking bottles and snacks in their suitcases," he mumbled.
It was true: Taking fluids in hand luggage was not allowed in general over 100mL, however, you could have a bottle or a few in your suitcase without a problem. Of course if would be a problem if someone would stack their entire suitcase with the stuff, but two or three bottles were no problem.
Ratface recalled some suitcases he came across having water and soda bottles. The soda bottles were going to be tricky, but they were still fluids.

After a short while he looked at the hyena who joined him and nodded, answering his question. Ratface also looked at the dragon. He signaled him to walk with him back to the dragon. Ratface walked back with a backpack on his back he found which now contained a couple of drinking bottles. He spread out three bottles in front of them and showed them both the two bottles he had of paracetemol and aspirin.
"Look, I don't know which you prefer, I know I'd rather have paracetemol, but there is enough of both for us for a while. Use a bottle here to drink it down, and also to recover from... all this." He waved his arms towards the crash site.
"Hope this helps." He sniffed and took one of the three bottles, screwing the cap open and started to drink its contents.

The rat smirked, trying to seem like he cared about the gratitude Talon showed him and the dragon requesting he'd get the water.

"So..." He started, "I've taken a brief look at your injury. I don't think I am able to pull out the metal, however... " Ratface pondered. What could he use to take it out. He needed leverage.
"You seem like a man with a plan. Any clue what we could use as leverage?"
Title: Re: Lost: Tropic Crash

Talon looked over his arm wincing at the injury. "I-It might not be as deep as it seems... If we had some tools- like a pair of pliers then that might be able to get a hold of it enough... but if we tear it out itll probably start bleeding pretty bad again."
Title: Re: Lost: Tropic Crash

Al shook his head when he looked down at Rhudé. "Save your strength for that leg. We're only going to camp here a few days before we've got to move out again." He said as he began to visualise in his mind the type of camp he wants to set-up.

Ratface put up a sad smile on his face to try to seem more compassionate and understanding. It was good he learned facial expressions and their cues, otherwise he would have probably been cast out from the start. Such manipulative skills and understanding of communication came in quite handy.
"I agree... Although I must confess I only have brief knowledge of how to deal in such situations. If I find a set of pliers, will you be able to guide me to help pull it out?"

Talon took a deep breath thinking through his limited options only to end up nodding "Yeah sure, I can help." With that said he takes a drink of his own water and swallows two of the aspirin. "How long do you think it'll take them to find us?" He also thinks again about Erin. he needs to rest and get some strength back because he needs to bury her. He knows he can't, and wouldn't even try to bury everyone, but Erin was different. She had reached out to him, offered help, and now she's dead.
Title: Re: Lost: Tropic Crash

"Glad to hear." He took a deep breath. "As for how long it will take? No idea. No clue. Right now, though, we need to focus on survival. Especially having no idea when and how we'll be rescued, it's best to not think about that now. I can already see people going mad with the thought. And that, Talon, won't benefit anyone, now will it?"
He sniffed.
"I'll take a look among the suitcases I have not been able to check yet. Also... maybe there will be something like some pliers in any of the luggage of the plane itself. If that makes sense. Like standard tool they take along during a flight. Ehh..."
He had difficulty coming up with words and decided to move on to the next subject before leaving to quickly find some pliers.
"Look, this island is huge, I'm sure we'll be able to find some sort of a natural food source here. Considering the vegetation, I think it is also safe to assume there will be fresh water somewhere. If not, it shouldn't be long to have rain fall either. I have seen some type of flora which require a rather regular fall of rain in order to survive. that's kind of good news. At least, I don't think I am mistaken."
He turned around to head off again. "Stay put, I'll be back soon.... ish."

Espen returned to his outpost after laying his traps for the day. "That should be plenty for now". He walked over to the far wall of his hut, using a claw to put another tally next to the hundreds already there. "I should probably start preparing this mornings..."

He felt the impact before he heard it. "An explosion?!" He climbed to the top of his watchtower and sure enough, there was smoke rising from the far side of the island. "It's been years, it can't be, there's no way. Okay Espen think, I'll... I'll wait a few days, then go investigate in the middle of the night. If anyone survived, they should be asleep. If not, well their supplies should at least be salvageable".

"Could there really be others? Could I actually... leave?"

Rhudé looked around the perimeter of the clearing they were in. On all sides there was nothing but thick vegetation, apart from the way they had come where a trail had been trampled down. They then looked at Al, wondering what he was going to do next.

Al opened his bag and strippped off his Kimono, right down to his underwear, before stretching his arms out and beginning to put on his usual Gi. His back and legs were  littered with scars, and he looked fairly muscular and capable. "This clearing will provide excelent space for a camp or sorts. Talon drifted to sleep pretty quickly, he hadn't realized before how exhausted he really was. The little dragons closeness was a comfort to Talon and a reminder that although things look worse then they have ever looked, at least this time he's not alone.
His imagination is quick to infest his dreams with mixed up memories. He dreams of being back in one of the many places he called home, a small apartment overlooking a busy city below. He had shared the apartment with many people, most of which he didn't know. Erin was there, which he knew wasn't right... she shouldn't be there but his dream had placed her there looking out the small open window with him. He recognized what she was wearing, it looked like what one of his other roommates would have worn. Her appearance here made no sense but in his dream Talon simply accepted it as normal.
"Come on," She said as she seemed to just fade out through the wall. He followed pressing on the wall and seeming to pass through it like it wasn't really there. Suddenly they were above an island. Just hovering in the air. Erin looked colder now, dressed in her dress suit as she had been on the plane, and seeming much less.... alive. "Things will be rough here.... be strong.... protect..." The rest of her words were drowned out by the sound of wind as she free fell and he stayed hovering above the island.

Espen knew he had to check out the commotion from earlier that day.
I think I saw smoke rising over that way... it should be dark enough now that they won't spot me.

Grabbing a small, rusted dagger to protect himself should he run into trouble, he started his trek towards the crash area.
It should take me about 3 hours until I reach that section of the island, I have time to look around and get out of there, right?

Rhudé turned away and covered their eyes when their companion stripped. "Could you maybe not do that in front of me..?" they said. "Considering we just met I think that's a bit of a quick way to get to know each other."
Rhudé looked around, wondering if there was anyone else on this island besides them. "Getting a bit dark isn't it?" They wondered aloud, looking back over at the now-clothed Al. They looked at their now quite tattered hoodie and jeans, wondering if their suitcase still had their clothes in it.

Al rolled his eyes. "We're stranded with no easy access to water, food or shelter. I think decency is the least of our problems right now. As for the dark..." He trailed off as he looked up. Sighing, he realised what that would entail. "Right. We'll just have to make do." He said as he grabbed some loose sticks on the ground and began to assemble them into a camp fire.

Ratface came back and saw Talon had passed out. Seemingly delusional. At least, that's what Ratface thought.
"Hyena dude, I got something here," he said while trying to shake Talon awake.
"These pliers might be rather small (http://traveltips.usatoday.com/am-allowed-carry-airplane-102631.html), but they should do the trick. You ready?"

Talon woke up quite suddenly the image of Erin still in his mind. He looked to the rat and listened seeing the pliers. Talon rubbed his eyes then nodded "I-I suppose. I don't know your name yet." He finally said thinking that if this guy was going to be ripping metal out of his arm Talon at least should know his name. Talons other hand rested on the dragon creature. It was a comfort having it close.

Making his way closer to the crash site, Espen could hear a voice every now and then coming from somewhere he couldn't yet pinpoint. It sounds like they're still scattered around the beach, maybe closer up towards the trees? He froze when he saw a figure stir in the distance by the treeline. Okay I'm close, how many survived? No, that doesn't matter, as long as one of lives to help me off of this island. I know where they are now and how to get back. I should head home before any of them notice I'm here...

Espen started to head back through the woods when he stepped on a branch, breaking it with a loud snap. Please let them all be asleep, oh god please let them still be asleep.

The rat snorted. "Names don't matter, it's about what actions the people holding that name do." He also wasn't inclined on giving his name.
He then sighed. "Fine. I'll tell you, but only after I pull this thing out. Seems like a good goal or purpose to look forward to, to keep you alive. Wouldn't you say so?"
Ratface looked at Talon sideways and had a small smirk on his face. Glancing briefly at the small dragon, he kept on smirking.

One thing was quite apparent with the surrounding area.  With everyone so busy, it would come to no surprise that the sun was beginning to get lower and lower, with a pink hue slowly casting over the sky.

Further off into the forest, a high pitched 'pinging' sound could be heard, but it was too far off for any canine with strong hearing to pick up the noise and decipher it, however it would cause a minor headache to any with strong hearing.

Far beneath the island, about 18 meters below the surface of the island, was a creature who had been awoken at the impact of the plane crashing.

I can't let myself be seen this soon, it's not part of the plan... please don't come over here, I don't want to.... Rhudé's ears perked up at the sound of the stick snapping. They looked at Al as he shouted out into the woods, then back at the treeline. Nervously, they lowered themselves silently to get out of the way of any potential conflict.

Al grit his teeth. Nothing small could've cracked a stick with enough force to generate a sound that loud. It was either a large animal, or a person who is looking to make enemies. "Fine then. Have it your way." Al dropped his katana and stood side on to where he heard the sound come from. Taking a deep breath out and raising his knife into a throwing position, he took his aim at a tree close to where he thought the stranger was. One... Two.... Three! He thought, before throwing the knife and sticking it right into the tree. "That was your last warning. If you can understand what I'm saying, you'll do well to just reveal yourself.

Ratface sniffed. "Don't worry. You see that dragon next to you? The one who you are also looking out for?"
Knowing full well anyone in Talon's position would probably take a moment to think about what Ratface said and then look away at the mentioned dragon critter, Ratface used the pliers in a swift motion to pull out the piece of metal.
Even if Talon would not have entirely be distracted, Ratface knew that it would have taken away the hyena's attention from what would happen if only for a brief moment.
While it was stuck in quite tight, the rat had not hesitated to use all of his power to pull it out. Holding the piece of metal with the pliers, gleaming in the light, Ratface stood up triumphantly with a slightly smug look on his face.
"There, it's out now."

Talon couldn't help the high-pitched cackle that escaped him- a very creepy sound, it was very far from a humorous laugh, more a signal of great stress in a hyena. he gripped his forearm feeling the warm blood running along his fur. a few choice words escaped him before he took a deep breath and tried to calm down. "Ok.. I'm ok."
Title: Re: Lost: Tropic Crash

Ratface jumped a bit from the cackle. He could have expected it, with Talon being a hyena, however he had forgotten he was dealing with one.
Next he grasped some bandages from a first aid kit which he had kept in his backpack after finding the first aid kit in the wreckage near parts of the cockpit.
Ratface wrapped the bandages around the bleeding wound after using the small jodium bottle over the wound to cleanse the wound to the best of his abilities.
"That should do it." He said, trying to sound compassionate to the best of his abilities.

with a last deep breath to calm himself fully down Talon wiped his bloody paw off on the side of his dark tank top. "Thanks." he said while reaching for his water bottle. wanting to think of anything but the hole in his arm he asked "What about my reward?" then elaborated after getting the cap off his water bottle "you said you'd tell me your name." Talon took large gulps of water and then also grabbed the dragons water bottle in case the little dragon wanted a drink as well.

"Ratface," he simply said.

Espen was startled by the knife, and the accuracy of whoever just threw it, but didn't make a sound. Okay maybe they'll think it was just some animal in the forest that's gone by now. They doesn't know for sure if I'm here. Espen stayed completely still, hoping that whoever was out there would just give up.

Talon nodded, he thought that was a somewhat odd name but wasn't in the right mind to question in. "want some water?" he asked the little dragon. all he really wanted to do was lay back down and sleep the pain away but he figured he'd try and be caring.

Al sighed. He was hoping not to get blood onto his blade this soon, but it seemed he was left with little choice. Everything is hostile until proven otherwise. He thought as he unsheathed his blade and began moving to where he stuck his knife, purposefully making his steps heavy and loud.

"Okay okay I'm here, just please don't... stab me or anything." Where the heck did this guy get a katana?  Whatever I don't want to be on the wrong side of that right now. After the dragon had gotten a drink talon was more than ready to just sleep for a while. his mind felt fuzzy like he wasn't fully awake- he blamed that on pain. One the water was capped again Talon laid back in the sand and looked over his bandaged arm. he really thought about the fact that all of this was real! he was on an island. after falling out of the sky in a plane crash. he was alive. waiting for rescue- hopefully. he had a feeling Ratface wasn't much of a talker but neither was his dragon buddy... Talon honestly wanted to talk for a bit, help process everything. "where were you headed- you know before the plane fell apart?" Talon asked Ratface while still looking at his arm.

Rhudé looked over at the two, trying to work out who this person was. He doesn't look like he just came out of a plane crash, his clothes are more tatty than ripped... Could he have already been here? Nervously, they continued to wait, watching eagerly to see what would happen next

Ratface was quickly trying to formulate a response.
"I was on my way to get paid for a job," he simply said.
He then sighed. "Look, not to sound like one of those stereotypical jerks, but I'm not the talking kind, nor the kind of person you want to get close with." He looked away.
"But..." He realised once again he was stuck here, and probably will be for a while. He sighed again. "Why do you ask? Where were you headed?"
He finished his own bottle of water completely.

Talon is a bit surprised by Ratface's answer but figured not everyone is open about their lives "Just curious I guess. I mean I don't really know you or anyone else here so I'm just... curious. I was headed to Erin's, the lady I was traveling with, her hometown. she said she had some connections in publishing and some friends who owned an art gallery that she wanted to introduce me to. Something felt very weird to Raz as he started to hear things.... see things...   he rose his head up when he thought he heard his mother, and he ran towards her until it was too late and he had realists what it was, and he had made it quite angry.

Raz ran right into an angry boar and Raz barely had time to turn and run as the boar went under him and threw Raz's body a few feet to the pond, just barely in view from the beach, and as the boar made a move to charge again, Raz let out a loud cry in distress before it abruptly cut off as the boar rammed into him again even harder.... luckily this last blow threw Raz into a low hanging branch and he got stuck there, and with much frustration, this boar kept ramming the tree, wanting to kill Raz

Ratface noticed the rustle of the bushes.
Darn dragon is up and about. He soon realised.
He looked briefly at the hyena to show he did not forget about him and ran off after the dragon.

"Dragon creature!" He yelled when running after.
Ratface saw an animal, a boar, attacking the poor small, wounded dragon. After which Raz landed in a tree.
The rat was surprised and winced. "Well then..."
He picked up a stick and opened up his jacket, holding the sides to make himself look bigger. This tactic with the jacket was something he learned when he was smaller and walked with a group in some woods many years ago. Intimidate the boar by showing how much bigger you are if they decide to attack you.
It seemed to work, the boar left, oinking while running away.

Ratface sighed. "Why you run off? Just... don't do that again. Stay with us. It's safer for you that way."
He picked the little creature from the tree with care.
"You have some scratches here and there, you need to rest to make them heal faster, ok?"

Talon had zero idea what was going on in the jungle as he watched Ratface walk off. He could hear some commotion but figured Ratface would have it covered. Talon got up from his spot in the sand and decided since he was on his own for a moment he would finally bury Erin. from the treeline, he found a sturdy flat piece of bark which could help him dig and started trying to find a spot.
He decided on a spot near the trees and started to dig using only his good arm.

The rat quickly and absentmindedly petted the dragon's head.
"There, there," he said while walking back to find Talon.
As he drew closer, he saw through the trees the hyena had moved himself and was digging.
Probably a grave for someone, was all Ratface could think of.

Just behind the hyena, Ratface cleared his throat.
"Not to butt in, but... You seem to need help. Let me dig for you, and you can do the whole ceremonial stuff."
He put the dragon down while he was talking to Talon and gave him the look: 'Don't you dare run off again'.

Change of plan Esp, you don't have much of a choice now, just talk to him. "No, I won't lie again, what do you want with me?" Espen paused, trying to choose his words carefully so he wouldn't get stabbed. Espen sighed and leaned up against a tree. "I'm not here to cause trouble, I just needed to see how many of you there were. So if you would just let me go, we can both forget this little encounter happened." Espen started to slowly back away, hoping he would be let go, and preparing to run if he wasn't.

"Listen, I've been here for too long, meet me in two nights in this spot and I'll talk some more. And don't tell anyone you saw me, I'll know." With that, Espen kicked up some dirt towards the wolf's face and sprinted off into the underbrush.

(Sure hope I wasn't the one everyone was waiting for, but I have a hunch it might be... Sorry if that's the case ;3; )

Raz slowly fell asleep in Ratface's arms, whilst still keeping his tail wrapped around him.

The rat sighed lightly as to seemingly look annoyed at the dragon's tail being wrapped around him. To him it was unseemly showing affection and he was worried what others might think. He felt it was all fine and well with Talon, so besides the sigh Ratface left it for what it was and shortly petted the tail.

Talon jumped when Ratface cleared his throat, Talon was still understandably a tad jumpy after everything that's happened, He quickly turned to see the rat standing near with the little dragon falling asleep close by.
At Ratface's offer, Talon looked over to Erin and shook his head. "Thanks but I sorta owe her." She wanted to do so much for him that he felt he needed to do this for her. Maybe a good idea with how dark some of those clouds are. I could definitely use a hand with that If you'd be willing." Talon says.

Following Talon's eyes, he nodded. "Understandable, just don't overexert yourself. You have quite the injury. I don't know the person, but... I think she would understand if you needed help."
Ratface slouched a bit.
Helping others? It wasn't really his thing. He only helped this dragon out because it was making a noise and might have some other benefits to having helped such a creature.
If he didn't help now, though, it might work against him. He wasn't in the most ideal situation...
"I'll... start something up first for us three, maybe others might see it and get the same idea. If not, then they can get help a bit later. As of which..." He looked at the creature with its tail wrapped around him.
"It would be kind of hard for me to do anything with... this like this. I hate to ask it of you, since you're... busy with something personal, but I think you can use the company and you would pay much more attention to this little fellow than I would being busy."

Rayleonarde Blackburn, the young raccoon headed to Pripyat, had immediately fallen into a deep sleep upon the plane's crash. It was a shock-response, something Ray wished he could get over. But, he now began pulling himself from whatever fresh hell the wreckage left him in. He gagged on salt water, which caused him to panic. Ray hated the ocean, and anything to do with it. He thrashed as he scrabbled to the shoreline, his clothes damp and tattered. His vision was blurry, from both being asleep and the now-stinging saltwater that had gotten in his eyes. Ray collapsed on the shore, and continued towards the green blur that he assumed was the treeline. With his adrenaline pumping, the young raccoon had no idea that a few pieces of metal had bitten him, as he left a crimson trail wherever he went.

The cream colored fox humanoid groaned. Her eyes flitting open she couldn't tell whether it was day or night. Her head hurt, the pain throbbing. She tried to touch it but her left arm was pinned down by something. Looking down her sight was blurred and dark. She could just make out a belt pulled taut by a piece of gnarled and charred metal. With her other hand she dug in the remains of her torn jeans. She found her butterfly knife. She tried to open it in her usual intricate way, she half succeeded, cutting into her index finger. Micah slowly came to amidst a waterfall of fragmented memories. The seatbelt sign came on as he was on his way back to his seat and the sudden shift as raced back nearly threw him down the aisle. A pain like a spike running through his head ended his best attempt to piece together what had happened. The ferret blinked and slowly forced his eyes open. He turned his head only to shut his eyes once again as the sudden surge of sunlight blinded him for a moment. He was suddenly aware of the smell of smoke and burnt fuel.

Micah had done his best to make it into a seat, but he just couldn't get himself belted in. Trying to make the best of a terrifying situation he tried to brace himself against the seat in front of him and belt himself. Then it went black. The ferret pulled his face from the, sand? Why was he face down in the sand? There was a metallic groaning somewhere close by. As the ferret turned towards the noise he felt a pain in his side, then his heart stopped and sunk like a rock. There was the plane he'd been on-or at least part of it.

"Good Lord.. what.. what happened? This.." Micah couldn't bring himself to stand up in the face of this horrifying scene. His senses started to come back and he realized, quite suddenly, that he was sore all over. The ferret assumed he had broken some ribs and had major bruising all across his body, especially in his chest wall.

Ray reached the treeline after a few minutes of pain-filled crawling. He reached the trunk of a palm tree and tugged himself upright, slowly and painfully. Inspecting himself, the raccoon found himself battered and bloodied, no doubt due to the crash and subsequent fight against the wreckage. He began tearing the sweatshirt he wore into bandages, hoping that the salt-water would keep infection away. After staunching the blood-flow, he assessed the situation, speaking quietly to himself. "Okay...okay. Don't panic. Panic is a killer. You've just survived a plane crash. We'll need food, freshwater. A place to take shelter is a place to start. So get a move on, Ray." He shook his head, and observed the crash site. "No, no. Others might've made it. Go help them." He limped towards the wreck, calling out as loud as he could, which wasn't that loud. "Hello!? Anyone else alive?! Bang on somethin' if y'can't talk!"

Micah sat relatively still, not too far from the crash. It was a shame he couldn't stop breathing as every breath agitated his bruised ribs and chest wall. Hearing a voice from inside the plane he tried to yell to them. "I'm a survivor! You need to get out of the plane though!"

The ferret cursed softly under his breath as a rush of pain hit his chest and throat. Ears twitching softly, he turned his head, noticing another voice coming from his left. "Over here." He spoke more softly this time, not wanting to agitate anymore of his wounds.

Micah grunted and slowly worked his way onto his knees. One he started trying to get into a standing position he yelled out in pain then cursed loudly. Muttering curses the whole way, he made his way up to his feet and turned towards the new voice.

"We're over here," the ferret called out as he slowly staggered further down the beach. "Anyone able to move much?" The ferret looked around. There were a few people coming into view, but most everyone was a good distance away.

The Fennec stumbled toward the scream of Micah. "I can move, just can't see too well." The Fennec's head was covered in dried blood, her eyes barely functioning through the film. A gash ran across her stomach, her index finger was cut badly and her legs and jeans were decorated with scratches and cuts galore. But she could still walk and speak. Against the odds she was alive. She would just have to figure out how to live long enough to get off the island.

Ivan hurried towards the sound of someones voice. Once he got to the clearing he saw a ferret and a few others coming in through the tree line. "Hey." Ivan coughed, trying to clear his throat. His shirt clung to his sweaty chest and his rips seemed to be bleeding profusely. His hands and arms were covered in dried blood, and the only weapon he still had with him was his combat knife. "Does anyone know what happened?" Ivan tried to raise his voice but ended up breaking into another coughing fit. Once he had stumbled closer to the others, he slowly lowered himself to the ground trying to catch his breath. He clutched his ribs and hoped someone at least knew basic military first aid because this would be hard to patch up himself.

The ferret looked over towards the newcomer with the combat knife and tensed ever so slightly. Under normal circumstances he would have been more alarmed to see someone rushing towards him with a knife. After seeing half the plane he'd been on hours ago, everything lost its edge. Hours? Had it been days? Micah was suddenly aware that he was unsure how long he'd been passed out in the sand.

Micah looked him over then frowned, his face taking on a grim look. Turning towards the fennec he sighed. "You seem the most capable of us so I need you to look for my medical gear. First, I need you to take part of your shirt and wet it in the seawater, though."

She nodded and stumbled towards the ocean, stopping on the edge of the rolling waves she cut parts of the bottom of her shirt off into large patches of soaked cloth and stumbled back. "I'll go look, anything in specific I should know?"

Micah watched her as she came back, stumbling a bit as her obscured vision seemed to make it difficult to walk with confidence. The ferret took the soaked rags and sighed. It was a tired sound that came from deep within him.

"It's in a hard case, with a steel shell. It will have a label marking it as property of Precision Surgical Equipment of America along with my name, Micah Freysen somewhere on it." Before the fennec could wander off he grabbed her arm.

"First, though, I need you to stand still and clench your eyes shut hard. I'm going to try to clean some of the congealed blood from your face, but if this saltwater gets in your eyes it's going to burn, okay?"

After tearing up his shirt and doing a sloppy job binding his ribs, Ivan stumbled over to help. Addressing the Fennec he said, "You're right. We'll only make it if we stick together." He turned, taking in the rest of the groups various disheveled states "It's going to be hard enough as is." He coughed before inching nearer to the ferret, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

The ferret carefully sooner around her eyes at first, but then started to get closer. "Absolutely no opening your eyes, period." The ferret continued and made as quick of work as he could. It was no wonder she had so much trouble seeing, but that shouldn't be a problem now.

Letting her go he let out a sigh of relief. "Okay, you should be about to see much better now. While you're in there, see if you see a first aid kit or a trauma kit. If the plane starts feeling unstable, though, just get out. Okay?"

"Yep, " She opened her eyes to the bright day and flinched. It was so much brighter than the red film she had gotten accustomed to. "Oh wow it is bright, " She muttered as she walked towards the wreck, her legs sore and stinging from the salt in the cuts covering her legs.

Ray sighed as he sat in the sand. "Anyone...anyone know where we landed?" He laid back, grunting as his back hit sand.

Ivan eased back down to the ground. "Not a clue." Ivan looked around at the various wreckage among the sandy beach. "I hope its a friendly Island..." Ivan began to make a checklist of items they could use to survive...there wasn't much. "I'm Ivan by the way, might as well introduce myself as we'll probably be stuck together for a bit."

Micah more or less collapsed into a seating position. The ferret was uncertain whether or not he could easily sit down normally, but reasoned it would be less painful to simply drop into a sitting position. Looking over to the others he sighed and shook his head.

"I have no idea where we are. To be honest, I don't know when we are. My name is Micah, though. I wish we could have met under better circumstances."

She took a deep breath before plunging into the smokey heat of the wreckage. Stumbling through it she opened every over head and looked under every chair, eventually spotting the corner of something steel. It wasn't wreckage. Yet the seat it was under was disfigured and burning. She swore before reaching through the fire to get it. Baring her teeth she grabbed the torn handle and pulled it out. The fur on her elbow was singed but her skin wasn't too bad due to her species' adaptions to heat.

Ivan nodded to Micah. "Same. Though, to be honest any other circumstance is better than this one." Ivan slowly tested how his ribs felt. They still hurt. He growled in pain but just tightened his makeshift bandage and toughed it out. He wasn't going to complain while they had bigger problems to worry about. After shifting his positions a few times, Ivan looked around. "I hope that small fox comes back soon. I think it's getting dark."

On her way out of the creaking hull, she stumbled over something. A corpse, half burnt. But then she noticed what was on it's wrist, a quick-deploy fishtail paracord bracelet. She yanked it off the corpse and put it on, "Thanks bud," She stumbled out and towards their little group, holding an extremely hot steel case with first aid inside and wearing a paracord bracelet.

In the plane there also was a cheetah still present, pressed against one of the walls of the airplane on the floor. She was still unconscious from the hit, and seemed to be in serious condition. If someone else would see her, their first thought could well be that she was dead. If someone took a closer look though, they would clearly see she was still breathing.

The ferret just modded a little tiredly as the ancient god Morpheus beckoned him into the realm of sleep, where his pain would disappear and sweet dreams would comfort him. Forcing his eyes open the ferret stood slowly, hoping to keep the blood flowing. Seeing the ferret on her way back here cursed softly under his breath.

"Just the case? Well I suppose it's better than nothing. I wonder where they would have kept a trauma kit or a first aid kit?" The ferret walked slowly towards the plane, taking the case as he passed the fennec.

The case was extremely hot, due to being metal and in a confined space with fire.

The doctor dropped it quickly, cursing softly. Thinking quickly he pulled his shirt off and hooks the case, tugging it to the water where the much colder ocean water would cool it. The case was highly water resistant and the limited exposure wouldn't bother it. Looking up to the plane the ferret muttered to himself. "I need first aid supplies, and I can't risk this ship collapsing.."
