This is my writing thread. I put one up at every forum I go to; to show off my work, to have a place to keep my work, and just as a way of getting to know other writers.
I post alot of stuff in here... poetry, short stories, free lance writing without a form.. anything that comes to my head. Alot of it is very personal. alot of it is about being a therian and a priestess. Alot of it is about my life. I take critiquing well. And it is always welcomed. So. I suppose.. I should add something.
My Reprieve (circa 2/21/05)
In the endless walk to the center
where the sirens sing their songs
I'll wait for you forever
in this decadent fluidity of art
where langorous beasts lie, sleeping
and the dark gods lie, dreaming
on beds of mangled flesh and brimstone
I'll wait for you here with my pen in hand
forevermore enraptured by the
flowing river of ambrosia
where the meek shadows of the light
fall prey to man's most carnal delight
And the moon never meets the sun
because oh glorious sun god
has diminished his most important
treasure to the dwindling age of forever,
and now it only lights every other fifth night,
when the moon must take her rest
from her longlasting plight
This is where I'll wait, amidst the lustful sinners
as they eat me up, as they taste me
like the main course of some luscious dinner
These hot breathing minotaurs and
Languid mermaids crawling
all the velvety beasts around me,
Goddess, so enthralling..
I'll wait here for you forever
but when you come to fetch me
I may not want to leave, to you I give fair warning
as this is a most desireable reprieve
