Pokémon Showdown

Pokémon Showdown, for those unacquainted, is a competitive battling program centered around Smogon.com. Smogon is a community of Pokemon fans who have created their own Competitive Battling encyclopedia based around rules and regulations of said fan's creation. It is quite balanced in a way, but should not be considered in any way flawless or the only way to do things.

With that said, you can construct your teams with simple selections, rather than having to go through all the trouble to have the perfect team through meticulous breeding and hours of searching. You can also save templates of your teams to text documents and share them that way, or back them up in case you lose access to your account. There are also chatrooms in each of the different sections of the program where you can meet up with other battlers and maybe glean some handy information. The community can be snobbish, but from what I've seen, they seem pretty alright. You can also play a mode called Random Battles, where a team is randomly constructed and you can see how you fare.

So, feel free to talk about the program and battle information here, and maybe share a replay or ten if you so wish!
