Title: where to look to for hope
Post by: Kaprika on March 09, 2011, 02:30:30 AM
ok...well this is looking bad.........

you know how i posted erlier saying my back problems have been getting FAR worse and its been making work almost impossible?
well..i tried to ask my manager if he could stick to giving me the 5 hour shifts rather than the 7, you know..since im becoming more and more crippled now, and i just called in for this weeks scedual and the Asst manager says im not ON the schedual this week...
...so now im panicking...
i wasnt straight up terminated, but not schedualing me at all is a bad sighn..it means he is THINKING about it..
and i have bills to pay..i cant NOT have a job, and getting a new one is no option for me...
i would be legaly obliged to inform my new boss im crippled, but with no doctors note they wouldnt accept me...id be a liability.

im trying to get well, i applied for low income health insurance, but thats gonna take a while to get back to me...almost 45 days..so i cant just "get well" and get right back to work.
im crippled and they know it..i cant hide it anymore, i shuffle when i should be rushing. i wince to pick up the bags of trash and they can see im in agony by the end of the night.
i have a phone bill...car insurance...rent...i cant NOT be employed
....im scared..whats going to happen..

She probably doesn't have Health Insurance and just a simple visit to the doctor without any Health Insurance is expensive.

The best thing you can do is just try to relax and stay calm.
The stress will only worsen your back condition so try to meditate, take a hot bath, draw, listen to music, etc.
Of course, this being a huge concern this won't just stay away from your mind but you gotta handle it as best as possible.
For the mean time try applying for other jobs now, like places nearby you can just sign up for online and see how it goes from there.

did EITHER of you read my whole post or just skim it?
>>

it tells you that i dont have health insurance and im trying to apply for low income gov asisted health insurace but it wont get back to me for 45 days, and that i CANT get a new job. cause they would take one look at my crippled ass and say no.
so i cant get a doc. note, ive ALREADY talked to my manager about it..thats WHY im not getting hours now, and no doc note means nobody would hire me BECAUSE if i get even more injured on the job they could be held accountable and they want a note saying
that its ok for me to work

-_-

I wish I could make you a citizen of my place, it'd make things a lot easier...
Sadly, I don't know enough to help in any way. But I wish you the best.

maybe  theres not a lot of work right now. how long have you been working there for ? oh and if he understands then tell him you need your job because you have bills to pay.

everyone has 25-37 hours right now but me...

ive been there for...nine months now..and its not his responsibility to employ me, EVERYONE has bills, if that was a valid excuse for employment then NOBODY would be fired.
its the employment world..its a hard one

Well, I already stated that you probably don't have Health Insurance had you read my post correctly.

Like I said previously you could always look online for any other job.
Also you never know, some jobs might accommodate for you if you ask and explain your temporary situation.

Never know until you try.

no, i knew you said i didnt have health insurance..that was the the person that posted before you.

you said that i could apply for a job elsewhere, to that i said i cant cause i dont have a Doc note. any proffessional buisness would require one, cause if i got hurt i could sue them for ALOT

Exactly Icy. And the only advice I have is to try and see the positive of the situation no matter how bad it seems ;). And remember; I'll be there if you want if anything goes wrong.

Good luck,
Drakos

uh, actualy. he CAN fire me. his reasoning would be that i am a liability, and at safety risk, and that i dont "do my job to the best of my ability"
trust me...its not hard to fire someone and make UP something, or just take something and blow it out of proportion.

hell, ive been fired for complaining about sexual harrassment
ive been fired for being excited to clock out at the end of the day
ive even been fired for confusing my work schedual with someone elses one time accidentaly

well...it seems my boss isnt firing me, but has told me he isnt giving me hours anymore.....says im to damaged to be working for now, and he cant comply with my wish for 5 hour shifts. (anything more is beyond my capabilities)

so its finnaly come from short hours...to sparse hours...to none..im really running short on options.
im unable to do most work...and am thinking of going to the walmart tommorow...to see if i can be a door greeter, because right now its the only thing i can think of that id be able to do.

soon, ill be giving up my car..this month i think, ill either have to sell it. or give my license plate to the DMV so i dont have to pay insurance, but i also can no longer drive it..
soon to follow that id assume my cellphone will have to cancel...so i guess i played my game as long as i could..

...it would seem im never to be able to stand on my own two feet, no matter how hard i throw myself into all that i do. im just alwase going to end up coming up short.
it would seem my application for government health insurance is going to be read too late...

this isnt so much as a ask for advice, as this is just...me feeling so scared inside that i just have to tell someone else ill fall apart.
i alwase bottle up my problems while there managable, because i feel there IS something i can do and ill just do it..
...but its only when there is litterly no possibility open to me..is when i crack under the pressure and spill out to other people..i only WISH there was some magical cure on of you could give me that would make all my problems melt away.
....if only if only..

omg .... iam so sorry to hear all of that.... if you can apply for disability maybe you can get some money.

Icy's right Kaprika. My mom has been raising us on disability for like 5 years now. If my mom can raise 2 kids and take care of herself with that then surely you'll be ok. I hope things really do start looking better, and you have my support.

I'm terribly sorry to hear this Kaprika :(

My mom has a similar problem, though it's an auto-immune she can barely lift anything, and that's probably why I'm at home all day, to help her.

If I lived near you I would help you, but we're so far away...

I hope you can get accepted for disability so you can get some financial help.

Good luck Kaprika  :'(

well a double edged sword..im not gonna have to sell my car.

my mate is getting promoted next month, and will be making substantialy more, and says he will give me a monthly allowance so i can pay all my bills, i just need to keep things around the apartment clean and a few other things
..while i dont like the idea of having to be "taken care of" im afloat now, and can breath again

im glad he meant it when he said he would look out for me, so many times ive had empty promises...its a welcomed change for once
