Hey I was asked by someone from another forum to start a chat client for the site. (not furry so don't worry).

I was wondering about an IRC client for this site. How do I start one if it's free?

Many clients are free, it's whether or not you have an IRC network to connect to. Our one is private and only used for our own channels, we do rent them with a web-based client for a small fee.

Would there be any other free chat services (that are of good quality) that would be good?

Very few, free never guarantees a good service, not many are willing to pay out the money I do with no return.

i think on IRC Gamesurge server you can just make a channel for free but idk XD

We sometimes allow them for free, it depends. We literally ask for $2.50 a month for it, just to help offset costs.
