Title: Furry characters in a non-furry series
Post by: Kage on February 03, 2007, 12:49:58 AM
What non-furry series have furry characters in them?  The only ones I can think of right now are Merle and that other guy from Escaflowne and Komamura-taichou from Bleach.

Any others :O

Mmm well that depends on how wide your idea of ÂÂ 'anthro' is. ÂÂ She-Ra and He-man both had talking animals and Animal-People like critters in them, as did the Thundercats. ÂÂ And there was Wildfire a 80's ÂÂ toon about a talking purple horse. ;) ÂÂ And TMNT were totally anthros living in a human world. ÂÂ  X-men have serval 'furrys' such as Feral and her sister who's name I can't recall, Wolfsbane, Nightcrawler is almost a furry ;) ÂÂ Oh and there was Bravestar, there were talking coyotes and a Talking / transforming Horse dude! Oh and The pirates of darkwater had that MonkeyBird ;)

I forget what she's called but she was in the anime OutLaw Star. She was kinda a neko and in the full moon she morphed into a wolf-beast.

ok i have 2 shows that the full world was all furry...

Bucky O'Hare
SwatKats

SwatKats was mostly all cats tho but still.
Bucky O'Hare was mammels vs anphibians in a futuristic space world and the show centered around the green fur'd rabbit Bucky and his crew of missfits.

Nightcrawler (a.k.a. Kurt Wagner) was at first described as a furry blue elf by Wolverine.  However, the story line seems to have developed the backstory that Kurt is a child of a devil or the devil.  I think that a more accurate suggestion would be Beast (a.k.a. (Dr. Henry "Hank" P. McCoy).

Inu Yasha has a lot of furries, more human-looking, but still furries nontheless, especially shippo and Miroku's racoon-dog friend whose name i forgot all of a sudden.

:"> Yu-Yu- Hakusho had a guy who could transform into a fox demon( If I recall)
and Tenchi Muyo had Rio-okii a cabbit who can , in later episodes, embody human form *laughs nervously*
One-Piece has that adorable reindeer who ate the human-human fruit. =s

Vision of Escaflowne had a few catgirls/people... there was Merle, one of the main characters as well as Naria and Aria, a pair of catgirls turned to intensified luck soldiers by the Zaibach. There were also Naria and Aria's parents, seen once in a flashback scene.

betamon (the anime series) had quite a lot of furries in it, as seemingly a general part of the population. also Yu-Gi-Oh have furries and anthros, mostly as monstercards but still.
i know of a few others but it's so long since i saw them that i've forgotten their names  >:|

i'll post more if i remember them  :upupdi3:

Well, I'm not sure if many of you will know what I'm talking about, but there was a show [was on cartoon network VERY briefly a few years back]  Called Candidate for Goddess, in which the 'main' characters engineer was a catgirl [not in the sense of fur everywhere, but catears] so I dunno if you'd consider her the same as a furry or not.  There's more that aren't listed persé but I can't pick them off to top of my head right now  :th_PyongLlora:

You're thinking of Aisha Clan Clan.  Her species is Ctarl-Ctarl.

And another anime that had some was DB/Z/GT.  There weren't a whole lot, but they were definitly there.  In fact in Goku's first tournament in DB, the rules stated that "claws may be used, but only if they're natural."
