Well after like wasting a whole page to nothing but partial doodles that never went past the skeletal stage. Killing my blue sketching pencil, loosing my good sharpener, then being reduced to using some POS that eats my pencil. I have created some chibi icons. WELL sketches anyway. I'll be doing them digitally, and if you guys have a particular size or web site you want to use them on tell me. Other wise anyone have an opinion? I may try to sell these, if I can do that how much would be reasonable?

I've never seen Rigor so cute. And as far as price goes, I wouldn't hesitate to try for $10. After you post a few examples on FA, people will probably be interested given how cute they are.

Some progress to show what's going on. I don't know what size to make them. But yea here's a preview. Only the base colors are done no shading or anything. Might muck around with them for a bit to see. But yea. Any opinions. I don't normally make icons so I'm a tad lost.

It looks awesoooome. I like it. Umm. Some suggested sizes are 100 x 100 for FA. Ummm. Some people just make a larger picture of about 300 x 300 so that the customer can resize it as they see fit.

I like where it's going. ^^ Only critique I might have is that it's hard to tell Rigor apart from the background of the little square.

Looks nice, though at 100 x 100 it seems to lose a lot of quality, which is unavoidable, so maybe you might want to crop it differently. I hope I've helped some. :P

Oh yus it's very helpful. I figured I'd give people the larger 300px one so they can crop it them selves, or they can ask me to. I've been puttering around with different methods to fixing the shrinking stages. Going to try a larger brush size, it will thicken the lines but maybe they will stand out better. I don't think I want to add in shading seeing as that will pretty much just be lost. Besides they go way faster if I don't.

I like using Photoshop 7, but if you either don't have the money, know someone or something GIMP is always free ^-^

Nice, free is always good. If you wander deviant art or something you can find numerous tutorials on how to do things, other wise just play around with things.

I really like it! Would it be too much trouble to make the background a different colour though? Maybe another shade of grey, or a light desaturated purple or something. The green kinda clashes with the purple eyes. If it's too much of a pain, don't worry about it though. :)

Okay so I've taken kind of a hiatus from art since my new comp died. I've been working on redoing a few things, badges and such. Also getting ready to take on pre order badges in time for FurFright in October. But here's something from last year that I've finally colored.
This is my room mates fursona, he's a Mutant Koala. He has a very bizzar story about him. And that "pouch" on his stomach is really a potato sack of Holding. He trapped me inside it one day, where I found Chibi Cuthullu and a door that led to the inside of his car. Cause everything ends up in Raamah's car no matter what it is. Since Koala's don't have tails, he kleptod one off of a bunny. It's a different color then his regular fur, and is stapled on. It' normally falls off so it's never in the same place, and sometimes ends up all over his body. His fur is dyed pink, so it's sometimes different shades.

It varies, he had a 2 x 4 in there for the longest time. Pool noodles end up there too, and PVC piping, stuff to make Boffa weapons with.

At conventions I've always had issues with having samples around me when people ask if I do badges and stuff. Well I got tired of that. I've been putting together samples of badge types and products, printing, laminating and putting them in a small binder. It's easily transportable, and I can whip it out when someone asks. WOOT! And of course it had to have a snappy cover. The back and spine are still in production.

Spotted cats can sometimes be hard to identify anyway. Half the time, if you look at animal print fabrics, they'll say "leopard" but it's cheetah or the other way around or different animals.
But anyways, those drawings are very good and I like the business card.

First order of business an Icon for White Wolf Guardian. He waited so long so I put more effort in to the icon. There are no lines in it, just color, shading and highlights. I didn't have the description or anything about it with me when I colored. So I might have to change a few things.

And I need some help! My weakest point of anthros is horses and the like. I can't get that stupid head down! Well I have a badge I have to do for Furfright this year and the customer wanted just that. Here is there description
Main body colour(s): Strawberry roan with black points
Eye colour(s): Brown
Hair/Headfur/Mane: regular mane - black
Description: I'm an Ardennais breed - draft horse - strawberry roan with black points. Has body type of anthromporphized equine - joints for legs look natural for that type of body. Black Feathers on hooves (all points are black - feathers on tail, mane, and hooves (hooves include "hands", which i have). I have a large white star on my forehead. One other commission i requested was to have a spraypainted halloweed pumpkin... this version instead will be nude with a halloween pumpkin (candy collector) at the groin as he lays across the picture
Accessories: Plastic pumpkin container in front of "naughty bits"
Personality/Interests: Teasing, but demure. I don't fool around, but i'm playful

I think the horse looks very decent. I think I'd be happy with it if it was a drawing I had asked for. But if you want me to be picky about it, the only thing that I notice is that the head looks too big for the rest of him somehow. Maybe the muzzle is just a little too big, or maybe you'd need to make the neck a little different to be more like a horse's. Or maybe it's just that his right arm is too thin around the shoulder, and that's what makes the head look larger. But I really like the way you did the hair around his hooves, you did a good job with that. :)

Well because I know only like maybe 3 people watch this I need your help. Okay well this year FurFright badge sales have... well I have one! So yea, I haven't really drawn anything legit since PortCon really so I'm stressing out from lack of drawing and doing anything traditional. I think that's why I'm having issues with the heads being to big. So here is my offer to those who read this.

Vee: Needs some silver added to the belt, then to be cut out then laminated
Zephyr: Gotta do the last blending, add in the white highlights, thicken the outline, cut out then laminated
Rigor: Needs silver to the blade & belt buckle, it's at the Prisma Stage. Then I can add the white highlights, thicken the outline cut out and laminate.
This should all be done tonight hopefully. Then I can scan them and show em to you :D

Okie I did some shopping, and I found this BAD [censored] tub thing that's supoosted to hold files and such. Well it works PERFECTLY for my colored pencils AND a few folders to hold paper and current works. WOOT now all I need is that small light box and I'm set! ALSO I have miss placed my silver gel pen, so I picked up a silver sharpie. Tested it out on my hand, seems to work good. SO we shall see. OH also my box has a place for a lock! OMFG I have to get a lock now EEE, so much better then this Hannaford bag I was using.

My favorite part about the White Wolf are those cute ears and the eyes. The tail is nice and fluffy with a cool pose. The paws look nice and soft, with the collar adding a nice finesse to it. EDIT: Also I just noticed that you used my favorite color as the background, makes it look even better :3.
The Zephyr one has really nice ears with the fluffy tips and those paws are just so pretty. The stripes are well detailed and the tail is just so noticeable. And of course the wings and eyes are just so characterized, I love it.

Nice Veesmith chibi, the tail is the first thing noticeable to me because it looks so good. The eyes and glasses are adorable and the hair is cute. Also the collar looks like it has a character of its own because of that red color :P. Overall nice job as usual AirRaiser.

Yea I can draw normal things, drew a self portrait once from a photo. There's just one thing wrong, my style explodes every where. I looked like the joker from batman. Had to draw a bone once in an art class, you could TELL which one was mine. I do have normal things floating around, you're just seeing this stuff cause I have a convention I'm getting ready for in June.

Niala: I draw everything by hand, scan then ink and color them using the pen tool in Photoshop 7. I have the attention span of a door mouse, so vectors make it simple to color. ^-^

yea......... i just skip the printing and inking part and just go into coloring and cleaning in photoshop. But that'll change in 2 weeks when I finally buy my Bamboo with my Employee Discount at Best Buy. X3

As far as making more goes, maybe make more of the ones that may be more popular, like husky or dragon. Not that the other ones aren't just as awesome, but people tend to have a preference toward those kind of things, you know?

I need some help. Well this is why I wont do trades with people. They ask me for a trade, I agree I draw my half then they either go in to limbo and never do their half, OR they throw up something that's either nothing to do with me or it could have been done at any date. "I HOPE YOU LIKE MY CHARACTER I DREW FOR OUR TRADE!" Who and the what now? Why would you draw your character for a trade? Anyway this person went in to limbo. Its been a couple of years, so I give up. Going to hand color and sell the original.

I also drew Gatomon more cat like cause I can't stand the way she's drawn so, ehhh chode like. It's not feline at all, love the character hate the overly roundess that they draw her like.

I has 3 paw fingers o.o, pawesome! That darn pinkie was annoying :P. And, just as a fun fact, AR: when I first drew White's wolgon form he had three toes and one "thumb" toe. But I later changed the way I drew him and got rid of the extra toe so he had just three. Not that it matters though, because whatever White says goes. :P

Thank you so much! And yeah, haha, it's not easy to find a reference for chameleons. If it helps, Romei and Mortis are both Flap neck chameleons for future reference.
Also, the chibi Mortis looks so freaking derpy, I love it.

So I wanted to do a new type of badge, one that has many options to it. Also I wanted it to be affordable for anyone. You can also get discounts! These badges are about 2.3 x 3.3 and will be fully laminated. I can do them both in traditional media, and digital media, though Digital will cost more. The cost ranges from $3 to around $10. Any opinions?

Art Blocks suck, I go through way to much paper in frustration... Just some badges, going to be used as samples. First one is Sendra, she's a Spotted Cat/Squirrel its a RL friend of mine. Next is Meliony, my mutt character that represents the RL me. Her wings are not real, just something I like to stick on every so often. Lastly is MRL, you don't know him, but he's been a WONDERFUL commissioner. Been waiting a year for my last badge remake. Sadly my other computer decided to eat the original of it, so I had to start over. Going to hand them to him at FurFright this year. Felt like I owed him. And I wanted to do a rat :3

I like the 2nd one the most, the wings are cool actually and then I like the last one because it reminds me of Dexter's laboratory where DeeDee usually runs in 5 seconds later and makes everything go KA-BEWM! Cat/squirrel sounds different, much different from a lot of things, the ears on their character look pretty!

So lately at work I've gotten the "Privilege" of working with this guy we'll call him Goat boy. Welp he's been out working on my press for a couple months, and seems to think he knows it ALL! Why is this? I figure it's cause I have tits, cause he had this issue with the women in the offices where he used to work. Telling them what to do and all that wonderful stuff.
Well last night I guess he was pissed at me, he gave me the silent treatment (oh yea so mature) then as he was leaving made a snide comment to someone else about needing better teamwork. I later found out he was pissed cause according to him, I don't do enough work. Now the thing you need to know is, I do what I'm told to do by my boss, I hear no complaints. I will only listen to my boss. Goat boy seems to get it in his head that HE is my boss, after a few months of working on my machine. I've been working on this machine for over 5 YEARS, I've done the same thing day in and day out. Not to mention the guy works before me, nothing I do effects him.
In my opinion I got stuck with him, no one else wants him near them. My other coe workers have give me mix feelings of what I should do. Right now I'm sticking to ignoring him till he decides to actually be an adult and say something to me. In which case he will get an ear full. If he goes higher up to over my supervisor to my boss, it wont get far. Not the first time someones complained I don't do enough work. So I'm not worried just frustrated that he thinks he can tell me what to do, then give me the silent treatment when HES SUPPOSED TO BE TURNING OVER TO ME!

After FurFright I'm going on hiatus from doing commissions. I feel as though my art is starting to lack, and I've been putting off way to many of my own drawings. That and I lost the uge to draw or color anything with my hands for a few months there, and that bothers me.

It's a little bit smaller then 8.5 x 11 inch paper. Giving a lanyard with it, cause a badge clip seems stupid. Gotta finish inking in the outline, cut them out darken it then laminate 4 of them tonight. HOPEFULLY before I leave for my Mates house after work I can scan them. If not I'll try to work his scanner and see if we can hit internet somewhere, since he doesn't have internet.

Looks like you definitely went through a lot of black colored pencils and markers for just Shinzuu's and my own badges. XD

Everything you see is done with colored pencils. And yup but to get the different shades of black I like to use greys as well then darken them. And Shinzuu's is epicly HUGE i think i have a photo on my phone to show size.

The thing is from 2003 or something, it's old, it's ugly yet people still comment on it to her about how great it is. YEAH okay, old work is scary! Yea I worked my butt off on making those, only sold like 1 at the con. I gave up on them after the first day, my partner didn't have a table and his phone was never charged. Then people would just kinda look at them see the price then wander off. Might just sell the sheets for $1 and let people draw on their own.

High resolution makes it so it prints fine, printing it right now will make it be all pixely. It's a common mistake people make. 72dpi works great for internet, but at least 300dpi is best for printing. Can't tell you how many times people try to tell me that a picture is huge and I can't print it off cause it's all jagged and crappy. The image size is large, but at 72dpi it prints badly. PM me with an email addy I can send it to.

Well I've been trying to do some photography again, I love taking pictures of animals. This one is a few years old, my best friend CatSoup used to have a rat she named Mars. He some how got fleas, not egg and stuff but full grown fleas. Her cat didn't have them, sooo yea we dunno. But this was Mars after we got him wet then went in with a pair of tweezers, picked off every one of the fleas, then drowned them. Poor little guy had itched himself so badly. So I took a picture cause he was so cute! Then I played with the picture, and because I never get a Halloween picture done here is me repeating myself.

Just last night Rensis asked if I could do a sort of hanging Chibi for him in time for black Friday (THIS FRIDAY) He wanted to have it for his ID badge for work. Fastest I've ever worked on anything EVER! Started this last night at work, took photos of the sketches and sent them via text. Then used the photos to do up the picture digitally. Finished coloring it last night. Printed it today and it was in the mail and ready to go before 2pm! I never want to have to go that fast again! But he is freaking adorable!

So I've been trying to keep busy while waiting to hear anything from Portcon Staff... So far there has been a big NOTHING, which is really annoying. So I've started in drawing pokemon for this year. Doing it a bit different from the last two years. I've been drawing one my style pokemon and at least 2 chibi versions. The my style ones will be done up as a 4 x 6 and I sell those for $5. The chibi ones will be ATC or 3.5 x 2.5 and I sell those for $3. Commissioned drawings cost more cause I have to do them from scratch, but these are all premade. If you see something you like and want to buy it, just ask. I'll be slowly going through and coloring all of these.

I draw everything by hand with pencil and paper. For digital work I scan them work on them in photoshop. Other wise I am based in traditional work, using a verity of colored pencils.
