Alright, I have an HP PCS 1100 series printer/scanner, and for some reason it refuses to scan suddenly. I get an error message that says:
"An error occurred communicating with the scanning device. Please ensure that the scanning device is connected properly and try again."
I can scan to make direct to paper copies, but I don't really need that. I want to put images onto my computer so I can share them. Does anybody know what might be going on here? >:|

Sounds like it didn't properly install, you should probably uninstall it completely and then look online for drivers, rather than using the driver cd that *probably* came with it, the drivers online are most likely more updated and fixed some problems. I just hope it's not a Dell scanner, *the horror, the horror...*.

My all-in-one scanner works quite well to me, and it's made by HP. But yeah, it is possible you may have a bad driver.

I looked into the HP site, dug around, and found a solution. So far, it seems to have worked. It was a driver problem like you guys said, which is where I started to look. Thanks!
*Problem resolved* [for now]
