The year is 40,001, Humanity is at it's peak. Due to the fact that no wars are fought anywhere, ever, Humanity and other races banded together and founded the sport "DeathMatch". It is held in a large arena type building with enough seats to house a small country inside. Global satellites are prepared to capture the footage and stream it live to viewers at home. At first the only arena combatants were war criminals, promised with pardons for their actions if they fought each other to the death. The sport's rising popularity and technological advances has allowed arena combatants to defy death, even when they have lost. Weaponry of the past, future, and fantasy are all allowed, and the arena changes scenery to the Arena Master's liking. The current Arena Master, Khairne, rules the arena with an iron fist. Renowned for his 1000-0 win/loss streak, he is a fearsome combatant, able to rend even the toughest of combatants. In a desire to get better gladiators, he has released a competition to any soldiers, bounty hunters, and otherwise proficient in arms usage, with a hefty prize of 100,000,000,000 dollars on the line. You are one of these new combatants, trying to make a name for yourself, or fighting for other reasons. Whatever they may be. WELCOME TO DEATHMATCH!!!

Phoenix walked up to the entrance of the Arena. A whistle escaped her lips as she looked at the gate way.

"LADIES AND GENTS, WELCOME TO DEATHMATCH!!!!!" "Today we have a really special show for you tonight, we have Malak the Blood Soaked Loony, GOING UP AGAINST JEREMY THE TANK!!!!!!"
*Malak the Blood Soaked Loony is a scrawny man, with a chainsaw.... in very very light armor...*
*Jeremy the Tank is a man in overly heavy armor, with shoulder mounted plasma cannons, and Servo-Claws*

Philly looked up from his table and looked at the tv. He was eating lunch in his home, contemplating what he could do to get his life back on track. He wasn't the same after being kicked off of the police force. "If only I get somehow get on this Deathmatch showm I would finally be complete again" He said to himself, taking a sip from his mug.

*after the fight going on for a couple of minutes, Malak the blood soaked loony is finally knocked down, and apparently is hurt very bad*
"SHOULD I LET HIM LIVE FOLKS?????"
*a large "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" comes from the crowd*
"Ok Jeremy, you know what to do!"
*Jeremy charges up both of his plasma cannons and aims them toward's Malak's face, and the next thing, Malak is just a puddle of green ooze*
"HAHAHAHAH THAT WAS GREAT JEREMY!, and no unfortunately, time for a commercial....."
*switches to commercial*
"Do you need to get your life back on track, do you need somewhere to vent your anger, or are you just a homicidal manaic. If so, COME ON DOWN TO THE ARENA, WHERE THERE'S A FIGHT EVERY DAY AND IT'S GONNA FULFILL YOUR BLOODLUST!!!! AND NOW ANYONE CAN BE A GLADIATOR, AND WIN 500,000,000,000$ IF THEY SIGN UP TODAY AT THEIR LOCAL ARENA!!!!!"

Upon hearing the commercial all Philly could think was "Wow, that was convienent and a bit creepy." he heads over to his closet and opens the door. When he was on the police force he was designing his own suit and weapons to use out on the field, but they wouldn't let him on the field because of his age. When he got kicked out he had thrown what he had been working on in the closet. He grabs the suit and puts it on, then reaches up on the top shelf and grabs his weapons and straps them in their place on his suit. "Well now I just need to find a local arena"

After watching a few matches, live, Phoenix decided that she wanted to join. "This seems quite the battle. I need a bit of excitement in my life." She had enjoyed the matches. The blood, oddly, excited her. I wonder why we have resulted to such brutality though? She pondered to herself.

Philly walked the streets of his town, heading for the nearest local arena. When he finally arrived, he walked in the office and asked for an application to battle at the main arena. After signing up, Philly was told he would heve to wait another day or so for a transport to the main arena. Sitting down, he says "I'm ready to get out there in the action right now! I can hardely stand just sitting here and waiting for my chance to finally be somebody again."

Appearing out of the teleporter to greet the newest of the new gladiators, Khairne stood fully armored and fully armed, to scare the crap out of anyone he met. Unfortunately his battle standard was less then imposing, being the figure over a small armored kitten with weaponry, it betrayed his fearsome appearance, because he really loved cats. "Welcome New Bloods, to the Arena, I am Kharine, Arena Master, and soon to be the one man you never want to see, but end up seeing every day." "Today, you shall step through this teleporter, and you shall be given a dorm, and all the necessities to live away from home. DONT GET COMFORTABLE MAGGOTS, IF YOU DO I WILL FIND YOU!!!!"

Philly stands up and looks Khairne up and down. "Your a very frightening character, do you know that? Anyways I believe I was promised some amount of cash?"

"Listen lil' man, you step through this teleporter, or i'll rip your arms off, you'll sign up there also I like the compliment people usually just agree with whatever I said, NOW GET IN THE 'PORTER MAGGOT!"

"Alright alright I'm going. Just don't rip my arms off. I kinda need them" Philly says chuckling and stepping through the teleporter, unaware of what might be on the other side waiting for him. He appears in a dimly lit room filled with different teleporters that he assumed led to other arenas. in the middle of the room was a projection of the signup list on a white screen and a keyboard on a pedestal in front of it. He walked over to the keyboard and typed his name in and watched as it appeared on the screen. "Well I guess now I wait to be escorted to my room."

Walking through the Teleporter and watching Philyl sign up he says "You need to find your own Room Lil' Man, it's survival of the fittest, and the fit dont wait for escorts, you find em on your own, if someone has the room you want, kick the crud outta em."

"I have to find my own room? Well I guess I'll just grab the first room I come upon." Philly says heading out the door and walking down the hall. "that guy creeps me out." he thinks to himself. After walking for about 5 minutes Philly comes across a room where someone was being wheeled out on a gurney. "This room is as good as any I suppose" he said walking into the room and sitting down on his new bed.

Nix glared at the gladiator, but followed his orders. I have to deal with this guy?! Lets see how long I live... she thought to herself as she stepped into the porter.

Striding towards the rooms that had shut doors, he banged on the doors saying "Tomorrow is your first day in the Arena maggots, enjoy quiet time, and remember, if you die, you'll come back."

Nix went to an open room and slammed the door shut. She went over to a corner and slid down the wall. She tilted her head downwards, thoughts and memories rushing through her head. This is the one opportunity to clear your slate, to start over.

Maren heard the banging and the orders and decided to scan the room to see what kind of competition there was. He looked at Jeremy who was gloating about his victory with some of the others. "Amateurs gloat, others would worry that they took another life, but the bossman said we would come back. Geez I hope he's right." he muttered to himself.

Appearing as though from nowhere, Malak the blood soaked loony comes back, although with a nasty looking scar on his right eye, and a sticker that says "Hello, I've been publicly humiliated on T.V"

Nix opened the door to her cell and stepped out. She looked around for the gladiator who had lead her here. "Couldn't hurt to take a look around this hell hole," she said as she walked past cells, looking inside to see what they had to offer. They all look so.... brute-like she thought to herself as she walked past, each time seeing more and more large creatures.

Philly took off his battle armor and hung it up in the closet. Underneath his armor he was wearing brown leather pants and a white buttonup shirt. He threw himself back onto his bed and closed his eyes. "I hope he's right when he says we will come back if we die."

Nix walked past Philly's cell and over heard him talking. She chuckled and continued walking, her chuckle loud enough to be heard. What fool. If you were a good fighter, why would you be second guessing whether you would come back or not she thought, shaking her head.

Walking down the hallway, Sangheili known as Opha' Xoixuee walked down to his room, placing a hand on his Head dress and his combat harness, thinking "Now that the Covenant has been destroyed, this is all I really have left."

Camo rushed around the hallways to find a room.
He comes across an empty dorm and said to himself:
''well i don't think someone lives here so i might just sleep here. and if it turns out to be someone living here id like to see them take it back''

Philly hears someone walk past his room and start chuckling. He stands up and walks over to the door, taking long strides. He yanks open the door and prepares to start yelling at whoever it was that laughed at him, but is stopped dead in his tracks when he sees who it was. After realizing that he had been staring for a little bit, he immediately looks down and starts blushing.

Nix turned back around hearing Philly open his door. "Oh sorry, did I wake you?" She asked, apologetically. "I didn't mean to if I did." She said walking over to the cell.

Philly looks back up at her and says "Oh no, I hadn't even fallen asleep yet. Actually I had just layed down getting ready to sleep, but then i decided to just get up and open my door for no apparent reason." he starts laughing realizing how stupid he had just sounded.

Nix giggled at Philly's words. "Oh, okay. As long as I didn't bother you." She smiled, humbly. "So why are you in this hell hole?" she asked, leaning against the wall.

(( Oh it's alright. I probably should have made it clear that I am a red fox.))
"Well I said I signed up for the action and to get famous, but just between you and me....I plan on overthrowing this place and putting a stop to all this mindless violence." Philly said, looking around to make sure no one else could over hear.

Nix smiled at the fox's confidence. "Ha, 'This' doesn't make you famous, it strikes fear into the eyes of the weak, so they respect you..." She looked around before continuing," you're braver and wittier than I thought. Overthrowing is going to take some time... and a team. The only way to make it, is if you can make it through without dying." She muttered. She looked behind her. The armor of a guard clanged from around the corner. She looked at the fox, "Get in the cell. It's best they don't see us talking." She quickly pushed past him and jumped up into a dark corner of the cell. "Pretend I'm not here until he's out of sight." She ordered.

Philly leans against the cell door and just looks around the place trying to avoid the eyes of the guard. As the guard walks by, Philly says "Nice weather we're having today" and then immediately regrets it. The guard turns around and mutters something under his breath, then continues walking on. Philly walks back into the cell and closes the door. "He's gone now. It's safe to talk." he says in a whisper.

Nix dropped down. "Good, 'cause i just got a spider web stuck in my fur," she said, pulling the cob webs out her fur. "So anyway, How do you plan on attacking this place? Guards are everywhere?"

"Ahh well it's quite simple really. Ummm.....no wait...It's probably not simple at all. My plan was to Defeat Khairne in battle. If I could do that then I would become Arena Master and shut the place down. I wouldn't have to worry about the guards because it would be a legal match."

Nix smiled at his enthusiasm. "Good luck with that," she joked. "It won't be that easy. He's unbeaten. And I've seen him battle far too many times. You won't have a chance. I haven't quite been able to pin point his weakness yet. It's a specialty of mine." She walked over to the bed and sat down.

"You specialty is pin pointing weaknesses huh? Well then what's my weakness?" he says sitting down beside her on the bed.

Maren heard voices whispering and decided to see who the bodies were behind the voices, using his energy flow ability he quickly and quietly found the voices. He decided to play it sage and listen for a bit.

"I haven't known you long enough to tell you." She smiled. Her face quickly hardened. "Someone's listening in." She shut her eyes and found the source. Listening in are we? she said to Maren.

"Someone's listening to us? A guard maybe?" Philly stands up and walks over to the cell door and peaks out, then goes and sits back down on the bed. "I don't see anyone" he said.

Nix smiles. "Not a guard. Another inmate, so to speak. Someone in another cell."

Ah another psion I see. Well do you mind if I come in? I too hate this place. thought Maren

You may. Nix responded, already knowing he wasn't much of a threat.

Philly laughs and says "An inmate you say? I didn't realize we were prisoners here. Anyways are they friendly?"

The goldie stood in one of the viewing rooms, watching a pair of novices tearing each other to pieces with a smile. "Can't beat that ameteur spirit..." As the fighting wound down, he decided to head down to the armory and see how his armor repairs were coming. A lucky hit had cleaved his chest plate in two, but he had burned his opponents arm off with his plasma rifle. After a short elevator ride he finds himself in front of two guards, who wave him into the weapons room.

I started walking through the corridor, I look at the scarred and mentally unstable faces of the cells around me she has to be here somewhere I thought...

As he walked in Maren said with a wink, "Yes I am quite friendly, unless you get on my bad side."

Startled, Philly jumps slightly but trys to place it off cool, failing terribly. "Well I'm glad your friendly. I imagine there aren't many friendly people around here."

Nix smiled. "I'll be back in a few, I am going to go walk around." Nix walked out of the cell looked both ways and then stepped out and walked, looking in the cells, and the scarred faces of those who had lost many battles.

"Alright I'll see you around." Philly says to her as she walks away. He leans back on the bed rubbing his eyes. "I didn't even get her name" he says out loud, intending though for it to just be a thought.

I continue to walk down the corridor, and more of the faces seem familiar, probably warriors I was ordered to spare....then a very feminine figure is walking down the corridors..."Hey, you...what are you doi...I can't beleive it...you're still alive" I said with a happy tone in my voice....

My name is Phoenix, but you may call me Nix She smiled, and continued to look in the cells. He's got to be around here somewhere.... She kept looking in every cell, noticing that the more and more cells she went through, the more she began to think she was the only female. Suddenly, she heard a voice, an all to familiar voice. "Chrono!?" She smiled, her eyes tearing up.

I started to run towards the figure, and the closer I got, the more I knew it was her, and I grabbed her in a hug..."The arena master told me you died in one of the matches...I guess he doesn't like me being friends with competitors...." I said with a smile..

Nix smiled. "I thought I would never see you again," she said a tear trickling down her cheek, as she returned the embrace.

Philly's eyes open fast upon hearing Nix's voice in his head. He sat up and looked around, then walked to the door and looked out into the halls, but sees no one. He looks at Maren and says "Did you just here that?"

"No but I saw the energy travelling to you." Maren said was that her voice Maren said to play with his new friend.

a chuckle rang in Philly's head. Did it sound something like this? I'm talking telepathically. Calm down.

"Well everyone around me can communicate telepathically except for me. That's just great" he says with a smile before laughing.

"Who are you 'talking' to now?" I said, sifting my claws down her hair...

Nix shut her eyes, memories rushing through her mind as he runs through her hair. "Philly, another 'inmate' so to speak." She said. She opened her eyes and on sheer impulse kissed him.

"Thats alright maybe one of us can teach you. If you have the aptituude for it that is." Maren said with a smile. "So let's year about this plan of yours. Trust me if there is anyone coming I'll tell you."

I was taken by surprise and jerked her back a bit, looking a bit shocked..."That was really unnecessary..." I said, before smiling and pulling her back in for a response kiss...

She pulled away shocked at her own act. "Oh dear..." but she smiled when he pulled her back in. She stopped kissing him, "Where have you been?" she asked, resting her head on his chest.

"Well what I want to do is gain control over the arena so I can shut it down and stop all the violence. But the only way I see myself doing that is by beating the Arena Master."

"I've been...defeating....gladiators that the Arena Master thinks is advancing too quickly..." I said somewhat quietly...afraid she might think I'm after her for the same reason...

"Sounds interesting. And how will you get to face the Arena Master?" He replied with genuine interest on his voice.

"I have no clue whatsoever. I probably have to beat him in a legal match, but I'm not sure what I have to do to fight him." he said, a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

Nix smiled. "Am I advancing too much," she joked. "Lets go back to my cell, we can talk more there." She suggested kissing him once more and then leading him to her cell.

I smiled at the idea of being with her...but then realization struck my face and I frowned...

Nix frowned, she stopped walking but did not face him. "What's wrong? Your aura just changed." she turned around and looked into his eyes.

"Yeah and I heard that those who do too good are...taken care of." said Maren "Of course it's just a rumor." he hoped that he hadn't scared his new friend. He didn't make too many friends and he didn't want to lose his new one.

Nix heard the conversation that was being held. Don't put rumors into the new kids mind. We all know it's not true Nix told Kindran. She had been here for 2 years now, and has only lost one battle.

"So he gets rid of everybody that may stand a chance against him so that he can remain the Arena Master. That seems a bit unfair. But I'll worry about that when the time comes." he says firmly. "I'm sure that they won't even stand a chance against me" he said punching a wall, trying to act tough, but quickly withdrawing his hand and silently yelping.

Nix kissed Chrono, "please meet me in my cell, I'll be right back." Nix darted to Philly's cell. "Hey you two."

"Hey! your back!" Philly said smiling at her as she walked in the door. He tried to keep his tail from swishing around behind him.

Nix was shocked by the energy he was giving off. "Happy are we? You have to be careful with your energy, you can give someone like me an energy overflow, and case me to get a headache." She giggled.

"Oh umm....no not happy, just uh....you know..." Philly says embarassingly rubbing his head.

Nix laughed. "Yea sure. So what's this i hear about killing off the good gladiators?"

Nix leaned against the doorway waiting for a reply. "I have to go meet someone soon, so please, elaborate on this rumor."

for all we know it's true how many of us not counting Khairne are undedeated "alright bye Nix" he said as she left

Nix stood there. "I don't have to go quite yet." I've only died once my whole time being here. How can you kill someone off, if they are promised to come back? Nix said trying to disprove the rumor.

Arke found his equipment repaired to his satisfaction, and decided to take a look at the new arrivals. His record was hardly spotless, but as suicidal as his tactics could be, he always killed his opponent. Always. A slow walk later and he found himself with a number of other competetors, including a mouse he didn't recognize. "So, what have we here? New blood?" He smiled, but the look in his eyes was as cold as always. "The first death is the toughest. Put it off as long as you can, but you are going to die."

Nix growled at Arke. "Leave the New blood alone Arke. Don't you have better things to do?" Nix said. "You treat all the newbies the same. Why don't you try picking on someone more on your level." She joked.

Receiving the new Arena match ups over his computer. Opha realizes he and Nix are the first two to fight, each other. Sighing, Opha walks out of his dorm, grabbing his weaponry looking for Nix. When he finally finds her he says "Greetings human, I am Opha, your first opponent, and we're going to battle in one hour's time, I look forward towards our match in the arena." Putting his hand fowards in the traditional human way of a greeting, Opha' waits for a response.

The goldie smirks, turning to Nix now. "Just having some fun. And I'm sure you don't want another death on your record, do you?" He smiles, putting a paw on Phillys shoulder. "And we're just having fun, right newblood? I just want to make sure you're up to this." He sees Opha arrive, and gives him a nod. "Looks like you've got a fight, Nix."

Curling his hand into a fist across his chest, in a way to greet honored warriors, Opha' Xoixuee says to Arke "Greetings human, I look forward to the day we finally meet in combat!"

Nix laughed. "I'm not human, but I'm honored to be fighting you. May the best one win." She said. She turned and left and walked to go meet up with Chrono. I wonder what caused him to frown... She finally found Chrono and stood in front of him waiting for a response.

Riku appeared in the teleporter and, silent as death itself, he drifted across the hall, the contestants giving him a wide berth. The stench of blood and rotting flesh emanated from him. People could be seen visibly recoiling from him as he passed. The only sound that passed his lips was a slow, rattling breath. Stopping, he turned his head towards Arke and Opha. All that could be seen was two faint red glimmers in the void of his hood. Then he turned back and disappeared around a corner.

Arke smiled to the Sangheili, extending a paw. "Human's a loose term on this world. Still, I think we will find an able adversary in one another. And maybe I'll win that sword from you."

Nix turned around and saw an eerie creature. What the...? she thought to herself as it passed.

"Please, this sword will never become yours, it was made by a personal friend, but he uses a double bladed energy staff." checking the time he says "I must be off, the fight starts soon" Running right up to Nix he says "It is time, make your final preparations and prepare to meet me in the ring"

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Today we face a relatively new fighter, against Opha' Xoixuee the Merciful!" Today's arena, will be shaped like a building, with plenty of cover for a gunfight, and wide open spaces for melee combat. Prepare, To see blood splattered in the name of Honor!"
With that the crowd goes wild.

Putting a grip on his Carbine, Opha puts on the headdress atop his Combat Harness, and straps the Honor Guard armor on.
"By the blood of my father, I shall uphold the name of Sanghelios with Honor!"
(i know i sped the fight up, but it's deathmatch, and there needs to be blood)

Nix entered the Ring. Her Armor shining, she smiled underneath her helmet. If I didn't have to wear all of this, I would have a better chance. she thought as she walked to the center of the Arena, waiting for the battle to begin.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, without further delay, MAY THE BATTLE BEGIN!"
As soon as Kharine yelled that, the doors opened, allowing the two combatants free passage into the arena.

Running out, Opha quickly sprinted to a wall, took a peek out, and then climbed over a low wall to get a better view of his surroundings.

Nix quickly darted for a darkened corner. I need to get an eye on my opponent Nix thought to herself, not many knew of her abilities. She shut her eyes for a a moment. She quickly decided to ditch the armor, to make the battle more interesting. Lets see how they can handle the carnage of it all. Nix quickly jumped from her space and began darting around, moving swiftly but stealthily.

His ocular implants' motion sensors picking up movement, Opha took a quick look around, but saw nothing. "Stealth eh..... well let's see how stealth works against a uranium slug" he said slyly as he fired a short burst towards the location of the movement, hoping to hit Nix.

Nix quickly dodged the slug. She hid. That was too close. She began to whisper things. You can't win. You have no chance. Being merciful gets you NO where. she said.

"And who said the Merciful part was letting you live, it's more of a 'make your death quicker' thing, after all why prolong their suffering at a loss." he said out loud, not knowing telekinesis. Keeping a hand ready next to his energy sword in case Nix got too close for comfort, the rumors were true about Sangheili and their personal space. Get too close and expect an energy sword to the face.

You stand no change. Merciful is your NAME, if you do not live up to your name... what will your 'fans' think. Remember my large friend. It's all about the glory. she said, continuing to hide.

"And you have yet to prove your mettle little one, hiding like a Jackal, despicable, hardly able to be called part of the warrior's code."
Jumping down from his low wall, he starts to slowly and steadily make his way out of the room, keeping his back away from a possible sneak attack.

Nix heard the large one's armor. Ahh, but you didn't count on one thing. She suddenly sent an energy wave telepathically, knocking the beast to the ground. She quickly moved, trying to keep a good distance on him.

Getting knocked down, Opha instinctively grabs his Carbine and raises it in defense. He quickly stands back up, and issuing a Sanghelian war cry from his lips, spreading all four mandibles out as far as they can go, he accepts Nix's challenge and rushes at her shooting.

Nix sent out another wave, this time stronger. She quickly appeared and fired three arrows each glowing black and red. They stuck into Opha's armor and sent an electrical charge throughout his body.

Getting knocked down again, the electrical charge dispersed throughout his shield generator. Reaching for his energy sword, he whips it out lunging just as he reaches for his plasma rifle on his hip.

Nix quickly sends another wave strong enough to burst anyone brain. She fired another three arrows this time with a more powerful charge.

Rolling to the side to avoid the blast and arrows, Opha kicks Nix in the chest and then quickly opens up with a plasma burst.

Philly shrugs Arke off and takes off running towards the arena after hearing that Nix was currently in a fight. He sprinted down the hall, nearly bumping into a shadowy figure that was walking down the halls. When he got to the arena he leaned over the railing and looked down at the fight below. It appeared that Nix was winning at the moment, but then he saw the elite like figure whip out a sword.

Lost in thought, I somehow just stood there for awhile, then when I realized nobody was near me, then I started hearing an arena fight upstairs, and made a dash for it....
Arriving at the closer seats, I saw Nix in fighting in there....great job 'right hand man'...you just let her go into combat without a word of advice! I thought as I continued looking on, my height causing me to stick out quite a bit...

Camo sat on his bed listening to the fight that went on in the arena and said:
''i can hear someone's facing an elite.....good luck'' he said to the opponent of the elite with an smiling face.

Maren could sense that the two fighters were running on adrenaline and that there was an awful lot of psychic activity going on. He could hear the thoughts that Nix was sending at Opha, but couldn't tell what else was going on. He decided to take a look and found Philly. "So how is she doing so far?" He asked.

Nix quickly dodged the blast and darted for cover. she sent another powerful strike this time hitting him, but not as forcefully as hoped. Damn, I've used my limit. Nix hid trying to think of a solution.

Getting hit with the telekinetic blast, he noticed it was weaker then before, somewhat exhausted, and bleeding out of a minor wound to his chest, he taunts "What, already out of power little one, don't make me drag you out on galaxy wide television!" Witht hat he sprinted towards her, the pain from his wound growing stronger, but he ignored it.

Nix heard him coming and quickly darted. I have enough for just one more trick. But i need to save up. Only use it when you need it phoenix she thought to herself. She jumped in the shadows, her coloring causing her to blend into her surroundings. She got low to the ground and silenced her breathing.

"Cameo, just like my brother who recently got promoted to Spec Ops........" Looking carefully around to spot any faint distorts in the scenery, and sniffing the air, he proceeded tracking her. "If this Arena is for Glory little one, then you must be letting all that Glory go to waste then, hiding in fear, an honorable warrior would fight to their end."

This, my large friend, seems a quite unfair battle. For your size is great compared to my fragile body. She quickly pulled her bow and shot another arrow, this time glowing black and purple.

Philly almost falls over the railing because he was leaning over it too far, but luckily he stopped himself. "It looks like she's running out of energy" he says to Maren, keeping his eyes glued to the match. "Come on Nix. You can do this" he thinks to himself.

Taking the arrow full force to the chest, the shield softened the impact, but suddenly a burning pain erupted in his chest. "RAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he yelled as he yanked the thing from his chest, spilling more of his blood onto the ground, staining it a bright purple.

Don't worry Philly, she'll be fine. He sent to his mouse friend. He hoped the uncertainty in his emotions hadn't shown through. Upon seeing the Sangheli bleed all over the arena, Maren's heart lifted and he smiled. It was a small smile but a smile nonetheless.

Nix moved swiftly to a different destination, while the large beast was sidetracked. I need other ideas. Come on THINK! She looked around. I have to manipulate my surroundings She quickly looked up at Philly. I'm trying, I'm trying. I'm running out of ideas.

Rushing at Nix with speed that seemed unnatural for his size, he opened fire with his plasma rifle from his hip, inaccurate but enough to cause some noise and keep her under pressure.

Camo walked up to the arena and Looked at the fight.
''hmmpf. i might look at the fight anyway, i mean i could analyze the combatants from here''

Nix quickly focused on the now charging armors one. Oh god! She quickly hit the sunlight, and jumped on top of large ruins. She balanced there for a while, but quickly jumped down from the shots that were being fired.

Holding his rifle steady as it overheated, he decided to holster both weapons and dead on sprint at Nix, almost catching up to her, he reached out as if to grab her.

"I hope your right.......wait, I don't know your name" Philly says to Maren.

Nix, quickly grabbed took one of her arrows, chanting a quickly but powerful spell, and stabbed the beast arm. As she was let go she noticed that one of his bullets had struck her arm. Nice shot beast. she sprinted away, her arm dripping in blood.

Taking in the arrow in his arm, he didn't even notice the searing pain, he was too berserk at the notion of being called a beast. "I AM NOT A BEAST, THE BRUTES ARE BEASTS AND I SHALL NOT BE COMPARED TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sprinting faster then he ever has in the past, he grabs Nix by the back of the neck and turns her around towards his gaze.

Nix gasps for air. Beast wasn't intended to be as such, I only meant it out of your size. she pleaded. She shut her eyes and quickly vanished. huh... it worked. she said standing up in the shadowed corner where she had struck the large one with the poisoned arrow.

Eyes opening wide at her strange disappearance, he releases his grip on nothingness, "COME OUT AND FIGHT HUMAN, LEST YOUR DEATH BE PAINFUL!" Sprinting towards he saw some dust kick , Opha whipped his energy sword out again.

I'm not human! Get it RIGHT! she sprinted out from where she was hiding. She ran over to her armor and quickly jumped into it, her sword gleaming in the sunlight. She ran towards the crazed large alien.

Jumping into the air and going into a lunging position, he didn't notice that Nix was in her armor again.

Nix quickly swung her sword to defend against the blow. "You have to try better than that." She quickly flipped back and darted towards him purposely missing him but only slicing his arm through the armor. That energy thing will go straight through me. I can't risk that.

Lunging at Nix again, he made as though he was going for another sword lunge, but he had a trick up his sleeve.

Nix tried to project herself from the lunge and quickly stopped. She quickly slipped out of her armor but still held the sword. She swung it trying to defend herself. What is his plan she said feeling the change in his mood.

Blocking the sword blow, he grabbed Nix by the neck again and held her up high. Panting he said
"You were the first combatant to ever tire me out, but now it is clear that I have won, now your fate shall be decided...."

Up in the booth Kharine yelled out "Ladies and Gentlemen! Despite her brave performance tonight against Opha, SHE MUST BE PUT TO THE DEATH!!!!!!"

Holding Nix in one hand, and reaching back with his sword hand, he quickly stabbed her where her heart was located, but not fatality, but close enough so it appeared so....

My combative side said this was inevitable...but the rest of me was almost outraged...If I didn't know better to never interfere, I would have probably ended Opha there...
"Opha...I'll make sure theres nothing left of you once I'm done with you...but for now..." I cut myself off at, walking away...angry and depressed at the same time...

Nix fell to the ground, gasping for breath. Just kill me BEAST! she shouted. her eyes teared up

Letting out a Sangheilian warcry at his opponent's defeat, he hefted her onto his shoulder, and as quickly as he could carrying her, and her equipment sped out of the arena, heading to the infirmary. "I can't kill an honorable warrior, They live to see another day..... but first, to seal up that wound of yours" Dripping lots of blood walking, he finally reaches the infirmary, he places her on a bed, and with the last of his strength draining like his blood, he mutters "Forgive me........." and with that, Opha passed on.
(characters don't stay dead forever, Opha will be back in time for the next fight)

"Why are you doing this?" she held her hand to her chest and in a moments time she was healed. "Opha!" she said kneeling beside him. The power of that arrow finally kicked in full throttle. The is nothing i can do she stood up and pu thim on her shoulder's putting him on a bed. "I'm sorry" she said before exiting the infirmary. She quickly ran back to the cell's to find Chrono.

Hearing Khairne's words and seeing Nix get stabbed Philly shouts out "No!" but it was too late. Before he knew it Opha had picked her up and ran out of the arena with her. "This can't be..." he thought, forgetting that everybody comes back to life.

Nix quickly found Philly. "Hey kid!" she smiled.

I try to find Khairne...I need him to get me in a match with Opha regardless of how long it will take I thought as I continued to walk the corridors, all spectators and fighters knowningly afraid of the amount of anger my aura is giving off...

Nix quickly felt a strong aura. Chrono... she thought. Chrono! Stay there. Don't move. she used her telekinesis to find him. She quickly sprinted around the corner and ran into him. She fell to the ground. "oooph" she said her vision fading back to normal.

I turned around, and tears started forming in my eyes..."N..Nix your alive!" I almost screamed, picking up and hugging her tightly...

Nix smiled at the excitement of Chrono. "Well I'm glad I picked up your anger, but then again, how could i miss it." she joked, her scar showing. "Opha is unconsciousness, or dead. I'm not quite sure... but he spared me." she said looking into Chrono's eyes.

Seeing her standing in front of him seemed impossible but then he remembered. but before he could say anything to her she sprints off around a corner. "She is always in a hurry to get somewhere." Philly said to himself. Happy that she was still alive, he started walking down the halls to his cell. He opens the door and throws himself on his bed.

Hey kid, I'll come see you soon. I had something i had to take care of. She continued to look at Chrono.

"I...was about to make sure of that in a few moments if you hadn't arrived....thanks for saving me from anger.." I said, kissing her...

Nix smiled and blushed. "Who else is going to stop you from rampage." She laughed kissing him back.

NO longer fully dead, a doctor types something into a computer and sends a message to Nix via PDA. All the message states is that "Opha would like to see you and Chrono......"

Hearing her words in his head he closed his eyes. "Can she hear every word I say, even if it's in my mind?" he muttered to himself.

hearing a beep in the back of his head, his helmet slides out over his face and shows the message, then slides back. "Looks like I get to meet Opha in person..." I said, walking towards the medical wing...

A screen throught the arena displays that all those that Opha had seen must see him in the infirmary immediately, or their contract be terminated.(that means Chrono, Nix, Philly, Arke, and no one else)

Nix nodded. "Be nice, please." she walked at Chrono's side, clinging to his arm. as a matter of fact... I can. It's selective hearing.

Philly laughed at what Nix had said but soon stops, realizing how weird he must've looked laughing at nothing. Deciding to get up and go get a drink, he stands up and walks to the nearest water fountain. After taking a few sips, he looks up and sees the message being displayed across a screen above the water fountain. "Well I have to go to the infirmary eh? Question is...where is the infirmary? he says walking down the hall in the direction he assumed was the infirmary.

It's near the entrance to the battle grounds of the Arena. Nix said helping Philly. Nix covered up her scar and continued to walk to the infirmary.

Philly starts of towards the infirmary in a jog. After a few minutes he arrives at the entrance to the infirmary. "I believe somebody wanted to see me." he said looking around for the Sangheili.

I finally arrive in the infirmary, and wait for Opha to show up...

"I'm right here rook.." Waving his hand over, he's lying on the bed, a harness placed around his body to keep it in place, as the doctors removed bits of armor from his flesh. "You wanted to know if the rumors were true about if you die, you come back... your looking at the truth kid"

Nix smiled at Opha. Oh good, he's okay. Nix walked over to Opha. "Hey, I want to thank you for sparing my life." she thanked him.

Philly breathes a sigh of relief, but tries to make it seem like he wasn't worried about. "Well that's good" he says smiling.

Nix giggled at Philly's attempt to stay tough. "I'm glad to see your in much better health." she pat Opha on the shoulder and turned to Chrono.

I looked away and quietly said "Thanks for not killing Phoenix..."

Nix looked at Chrono, and walked past him, her tail brushing him. she stepped outside the infirmary, her scar showing again. There's no covering this damn thing, is there!

Curling his fist into a ball in front of his chest, to signify greeting a warrior of honor, he says "And thank you Nix, for not resenting me, for stabbing you" turning his head towards chrono he says "And thank you for not ripping my limbs off and melting them...."

Nix turned and smiled at Opha. She stood by the door of the arena, the little sunlight that was showing warmed her face.

"And thank you for calling me here for no intended purpose" Philly says jokingly towards Opha

His mood turning sour, he glares at Philly, staring through him... "Watch yourself Rook, I called you here for two reasons, one to show you that if you die, you'll come back, and two, to tell you to relax a little, the first fight is hard, but you get used to it, now help me up Rook."

Riku had watched the entire fight from a high vantage point. Seeing Chrono practically sprinting out of the stands, he thought to himself "Now there's power worthy of my attention". drifting across the stands, he went back down towards the dormitories and into his room, only to find a human had decided to occupy his space. The bone-chilling screams of the man could be heard all throughout the east wing.
Riku exited the room a few minutes later with crimson blood dripping from his maw and claws, leaving a bloody trail as he walked down the hall to the match listings to identify when his second kill was.

"Right-o" Philly says walking over to Opha and helping him up off bed. "I can relax. Actually what I really need is a little bit of sleep" he says yawning and stretching his arms above his head.

Nix's ears twitched. She heard the scream, and turned to see if anyone else did. Hmmm, I'm going to go check that out. Nice began walking to the east wing. She stumbled across a trail of blood. What happened here? No deaths are supposed to take place. Only in the Arena She entered the cell where the trail started. She covered her mouth and looked away. She stepped back outside and slid down the wall.

Philly walks out of the Infirmary, heading to his room. When he was almost at his room he saw a trail of blood leading down the hall. "This can't be good" he says running down the hall following the trail. He rounds the corner and sees Nix down on the floor against the wall. "Are you alright? This isn't your blood is it?" he asks noticing the scar on her chest.

I heard the scream and bolted for the west wing fighting outside the arena is forbidden! I thought as I came across a pool of blood leading out, and then I saw Nix..."Who did this?!" I demanded..almost grabbing Nix, but restrained myself from doing so...

Nix stood up. "I'm fine.... I'm not sure. I think it may have been that new guy. The scary one. He has an eerie aura. I can feel it." She said looking at Chrono.

"Well the new guy better not try anything like this on me or I will have to show him who's boss." Philly thinks looking inside the room at the gore inside. "Whoever it was, I'm sure the're gonna be back soon."

"I'm not too sure. Chrono? Do they come back if their death is out side of the Arena?" Nix asked looking at him.

A soft swishing sound could be heard as Riku rounded the corner, seeing beings at the end of the hall in his domain, he stopped about a quarter of the way down the hall, just looking at the three. The only sound emanating from the Demon was the rattling breaths, and a slow, rhythmic clicking.

What the hell are you!? and what did you do?! she said looking at the demon, fear struck her face.

I hear a clicking, and turn towards a figure covered in blood, and rage builds in me..."So...you were the one who broke the law of the Arena..." I said, barely keeping myself from attacking...

Nix lightly touched Chrono's arm, trying to calm him. Chrono, focus. Attacking would be pointless she focused on the task at hand. She continued to look at the demon. ANSWER ME!

Turning around Philly sees the figure standing a ways down the hall. "Yikes he's more frightening than I expected" he thinks trying to hold back his fear.

Don't panic kid. He won't do anything. Nix stepped forward, towards the demon.

The clicking stopped suddenly and an eerie silence pervaded the hallway. Then a low, raspy voice slid forth from the figure "Two things...One...He attacked me first, a common response to my presence....and two, he was in my domain..." The demon still stood still, waiting for the response of the accuser. "Don't presume to tell me what to do...Crawler of minds" he responded to Nix with a hint of venom in his voice.

Slowly walking to get a feel for walking again, Opha starts to walk down, oblivious to the demon, the blood, the drama, and the murder and blood spatters, so when he finally ends up near them all he can ask is "What happened in the time i was dead?"

"Right now...the punishment of one who kills outside the arena.." I said, drawing my daimond blade...

"Well I mean if he attacked first then what's a guy to do" Philly says uneasily taking a step backwords.

Nix let out a low growl. "Killing is out of the question. And against the rules!" Nix stepped forward angrily.

Riku took a slow step forwards, his breathing getting heavier "You...you blame me for defending myself?" His tone had grown cold and quiet, yet it still managed to travel across the distance, giving it a queer whisper trait. Seeing the Dragon draw his blade "You judge like everybody else...too quick to jump to action...too quick to create violence...just like humans you are...filthy...Wretched humans..." The anger in his voice shook across the hallway. But when he next spoke, it was in the same rasping tone he begun in; "Just defending myself..."

"What about me, Am I as wretched as the humans?" he asked obviously knowing nothing of what happened.

Philly jumped, startled by Osha right beside him. He hadn't been paying attention to his surrounding much, half because he was tired, and half because he was keeping his eyes on Riku.

Looking at Philly, he does what an Elite could possibly do to smile, them having no chin and four lips, and all.

It took awhile before I heard the 'Just defending myself...' Then I start to calm down..."Oh...then your kill was justified, but you could have knocked him out instead of killing him...by the way...whats your name?" I asked, calming down and sheathing my blade. "Please forgive my rashness...usually most rule-breakers do it just to antagonize the Arena Master...so I'm usually quick to act..."

Nix relaxed. "I apologize." Nix turned, "Meet me in my cell," she touched Chrono's shoulder and kissed his cheek and walked to her cell.

Phills looks at Chrono and finally realizes "He must work for the Arena Master. I'll definately have to watch out for him when talking about my plans." He smiles seeing Chrono sheath his blade. He definately wasn't ready for a fight right there in the hall. His smile slowly fades away though when he sees Nix kiss Chrono, and he hoped no one had noticed his drastic change in moods within a few seconds.

*turns around and smiles* "I'll be sending a cleaning crew to clean up the mess, in the meantime, I'll be busy...peace" I said, my helmet sliding back on to where I could contact clean-up as I followed Nix...
(Btw Philly, he was ready to fight, but he just realized that he had no reason to justify his killing of [snowblind] so he withdrew his blade...)

Nix slowly walked down the corridor. She felt a familiar presence and smiled. She stopped for a moment then continued walking beside Chrono.

(Oh I meant my character wasn't ready for a fight. I probably should have clarified that a bit more.)
"Well maybe now I can get some sleep." he said towards Opha chuckling. He walks on towards his room and closes his door. Laying down on the bed, he closes his eyes. "Maybe I won't get pulled away this time."

Riku advanced towards the group until he was a mere two foot away from them "He struck me with the intent to kill...though I bear no injuries his intent was clear...and rightly so...I admit to feeding on the corpse, as humans are a delicacy, but do not mistake my intent, Dragon...I would have killed today regardless...but I speculate this time it was in my favour..." turning to Nix, he answered her "I do not accept your apology, Crawler of minds"
After he finished he turned to walk away before calling back in the raspy voice "You are not forgiven either, maybe you should learn what the problem is about before rushing into it head first" with that, he rounded the corner and was gone.

Thinking to himself all he can see is "And what makes a Demon so forgivable, because you attacked someone and ate them whole, unforgivable." Remembering he had a wire tap on one of the cameras, to keep an eye on the human who he suspected of stealing his cup cakes, he saw the whole murder unfold, he only pretended to not know.

"Refer to me as Mind Crawler once more, And I will personally clear your head off" she said before walking away. She and Chrono finally reached her cell. She opened the door and stepped inside. Her cell was one of the bigger ones out of the many cells.

Following Philly to his room, he wondered how long it would take for the rook to figure out that he had a room mate.

"You do realize that this is not 'right' for a high-rank official to be in the room of a contestant, let alone one he has feelings for" I say with a grin...

Philly opens his eyes realizing He wasn't alone in his room. "Opha....What are you doing in my room?"

Putting his helmet down on his bed, all he says is "Your roomy...... the last one, tried to punch me, but he ended up leaving on a gunnery"

"Oh, well in that case I'l be sure not to punch you" he said laughing.

Taking the lower bunk, mainly cause he didn't want to kill Philly by falling bed, that would be embarrassing, he quickly falls asleep, his hand still on his plasma rifle and energy sword.

Nix smiled. "Well, then what should we do about that then?" She looked at him happily. "Would you rather go to YOUR room/cell?"

"Are you insane?" I ask smiling as I walk in, my armor completely sliding to a little compact "backpack" on my spine, and my sword put in its sheath..

Philly soon dozes off, trying only to think of the good moments of the day so far, which mainly consisted of the very few moments he had spent with Nix. He tried not to think of what might have been going on in her cell.

"Insane? No. Close to insane... possibly," I joke. "Why am I insane?" I stand close to him and laugh.

"For suggesting I leave...yes.." I said, hugging her and nuzzling her face...

"I never said you would go to your cell alone..." I smile and giggle, as Chrono nuzzles my face.

Maren was weary after seeing the battle between Nix and Opha and headed off to bed before lights even went out. bye the way I'm Maren he thight to Philly alberore he dozed off into a deep sleep.

Henry who had fallen asleep during the fight suddenly woke up when a guard pushed him and said:
''wake up maggot, time to go back to you're Room now''
Henry stood up from the seat he had been seeting on and Dragged his feet down the hallway as he toughed to himself
''and i just had to fall asleep during the fight,hmm i wonder who won the fight?''
He approached his bed and layed down to sleep.

Arke enjoyed a fairly nice nap, stretching a bit as he started back to the rooms. "I hope they got around to killing each other... man, how long was I out?" He yawned, tapping his wrist-mounted computer. "Lets see who won..."

Nix layed back on her bed and stared at the ceiling. She waited for Chrono so show up at any moment. I know its bad to feel for an opponent as strong as I do for him... But, I can't seem to stop. She sat up and decided to go for a walk around. She went to the stands and sat down. "Hmmm, I wonder what the next battle is." she said to herself allowed, the sun warming her fur.

I followed Nix, somehow keeping my aura down to barely noticeable, and hugged her from behind when she stopped moving "Who said you could leave the room?" I asked in a joking tone...

I turn around in his arms, smiling widely. "It's my room..." I joke. "Do you want to go back IN my room?" I hug him back.

"Well, until the next round is announced, sure" I said, trying to enjoy whatever happiness I can before the bloodshed possibly ensues...

"Whose battling next?" i ask releasing him from the hug.

"It'll get beamed into my helmet when it's announced, until then...not happening..."

As if on signal, the Viewscreens around the arena show the next combatants, are the scary demon guy Riku and Philly.

I look up and listen to the announcement, my ears twitching. "No.... Oh, I hope that kid can do it!" I said aloud.

Maren woke up with the sound of a loud click. He found the viewscreens were showing the next battle. Philly was in it. Maren got out of bed and decided to go wish his friend good luck.

my helmet slides off, and I nod "Well, if he doesn't, he'll be brought back, but yea, I agree with 'ya"

My ears went down slightly, my eyes gazing off into space. The poor kid. It's his first battle. He'll came back though... I look at Chrono and smile. "Shall we go get come good seats?" I ask holding out my hand.

As if on another creepy signal to lighten the mood, an advertisement comes on. "WACKY ARM WAVING INFLATABLE TUBE MAN, WACKY ARM WAVING INFLATABLE TUBE MAN. HI IM AL HARRINGTON OWNER AND PROPRIETOR OF Al HARRINGTON'S WACKY ARM WAVING INFLATABLE TUBE MAN DEALERSHIP!"

*immedeatly closing out the pop-up* "Sure...but I'm leading" I said with a smile, running off towards the arena...

"Oh, are you?" I giggle and race after him.

Camo heard the annoucement and said to himself:
''What the......how long will i have to wait to get to battle someone?!?''
Camo walked to the arena to find some seats for the next match.

Philly wakes up and decides to see if there was a place to eat at around this place. He laughs at the commercial on one of the view screens as he's walking by, but immediately stops laughing when it goes back to the original screen. "I'm fighting next....and against a guy named Riku. I have no clue who that is but I guess I'll find out soon enough" he says as he continues to walk down the hall, zoned out in space.

While focusing on Philly i heard him. Hey kid. You know that creepy demon we saw... that's Riku.

"Oh my goodness....I have to face off against him in my first match" he thought turning around and running back to his room to put on his battle armor and get his weapons.

Riku had seen the announcement and was ready and waiting for his opponent to arrive. He flexed his giant wings "all this training and my Master wants me to fight in this? I wonder what he could hope to achieve..." he thought to himself, his rattling breaths coming in slow and steadily. Slightly unsheathing his sword for a quick draw, he clicked his neck and stood there, stock still.

Philly smiled knowing that he had at least one person rooting for him. After getting his gear on he started in the direction of the arena. On his way he passed a vending machine, and decided to get a small snack before his fight. He finished it up and quickly ran to his starting point in the arena.

I stood at the railing, waiting for the battle to take way. I gripped the railing tightly. Come on kid. I know you can do it.

Woot let's go Philly!! Maren thought since he was late in fretting him person to person. He had a large grin on his face.

Camo notices one of the combatants from the battle before this one
Camo walkes up to the Wolf and says:
''well who won the fight? you or the elite?''

Arke walks up behind Nix, carrying a meal tray. "Well, you're looking good. Heard you got another death." He dug into his meal, a classic meat and potatoes smothered in gravy. "Newblood up next? Let's see how he does." A bit of gravy spilled onto his tan uniform, and he sighed.

Walking up behind Arke, Opha says "She may have killed me, but not before I defeated her in the ring of honor!". Looking to his left he sees a random guy with a heavy backpack and Opha points to him and yells "HEY, THAT WAS THE GUY WHO TRIED TO TAKE MY CARBINE LAST NIGHT!"

Arke follows Ophas gaze and laughs. "That runt? Man, did he mess with the wrong species..." He takes a seat, looking out over the arena as he continues with his meal. "Nice to see you two still friends after killing each other."

Arke taps his wrist computer, bringing up the matches details. "Says here ya killed her, and dragged her back to the infirmary. Wait, you didn't do that 'can't kill a noble warrior' thing again, did you?"

"That, and because she isn't a Brute, if she was i'd have painted the arena a different color by now"

Riku was beginning to grow impatient "I tire of waiting, this match better start soon". Adjusting his stance a little, he flared his wings, preparing himself.

I rested my elbows on the railing waiting for the match to begin. This thing has to start soon. Poor kid.

"Newblood stalling? Not a good start. And my foods getting cold." He shakes his head, digging into the last of his food. "This is gonna cost the kid some points with me..."

Looking at Nix, he suddenly feels feelings of love, or are those feelings of cannibalism? Whatever it is, all that goes into Opha's mind is "WHY THE *^%$ AM I GETTING A CRUSH ON A HUMAN FEMALE, ITS NOT RIGHT FOR AN ELITE OF MY STATURE!"

Nix over heard Arke. What are you doin kid? Stalling is not the way to go! she looked at the entrance from he was supposed to enter. Her tail swaying rapidly.

Maren saw the group of his friends and grabbed his food, "match hasn't started yet? Well you can't blame him I mean his energy is way outta whack. Does he know this guy?" he said as he found a seat next to Arke.

After gathering up as much confidence as he could, philly steps through the entrance and into the arena. he looked up at all the people in the stands. "i hope im ready for this"

I don't know how Nix beat me to the arena, but when I got there, she was already with Opha. So I ran towards the railing and looked at Nix "Did you miss me?" I asked with a smile.

I smile. "Of course." I look over the railing, almost close to falling over the edge. "When is this thing going to begin?" I asked, looking over the arena field.

''Okay, don't answer me then.'' Camo said to himself
Camo looked around and saw A red wolf on one side of the arena.
''wonder where the other combatant is?'' he said to himself

"Finally" he thought to himself when he saw Philly. He stepped into the arena proper with his red eyes fixed on Philly, His rattling breaths echoing across the battleground. Riku flared his wings and emitted a broken scream that sent shivers down the crowds spine. Unsheathing his blade, he pointed it towards Philly and fell silent.

Philly unsheaths one of his blades and gets ready for whatever may follow. "Do I wait for the Arena Master to start it or do i just have at it" he wonders to himself

Opha yells as if hearing Philly
"You just get to it Rook!"

"Well i suppose i might as well get to it" Philly says taking a few steps toward Riku.

With Philly's movement, Riku blasted off towards Philly flapping his wings to gain more speed. as he got closer, he brought the sword up, slashing at Philly's back when he passed. Landing on the ground he turned to face his enemy.

Philly barely manages to dodge the attack by arching his back in. He turns around and runs toward Riku bringing his blade up and slashing down as hard as he could towards him.

The demon sidestepped the attack and made a quick slash across to catch him in the side. He screeched again to knock Phllys concentration and thrusted forward.

Philly loses his breath after being hit in the side with the blade. He gasps for breath and makes a desperate slash at Riku.

Riku parried the slash, turning his blade so it would skeeter off at an angle. Closing the gap between them, he grabbed Philly by the neck and raised him of the ground. His rancid breath surrounding Philly.

Struggling for air, Philly pulls his laser pistol out of its holster and shoots Riku in the chest.

Seeing the shot Maren couldn't help but shout," yes way to go Philly!!"

Riku drops Philly and looks down at the wound. Looking back up, he created a fireball on his sword and slashed at him. it seemed as if he didn't even feel the pain of the wound
(don't worry, he has been injured, he just can't feel pain)

I grip the railing tightly, thought rushing through my head. Come on Kid! Come on! You can do this! He's not so scary now, Is he? the words rang in my head, wanting to escape.

Philly dropped his lasor pistol and quickly pulled out his second sword, blocking the slash, raining fire down on him. he thrusted his other blade towards the wound on rikus chest.

Riku let the sword pierce through his chest, but then grabbed hold of his paw, trapping it there. He let out a broken, eerie laugh that echoed across the stadium. Because of their close proximity, Riku couldn't use his long sword so dropped it and gabbed Philly's other arm and twisted it, intending to break it.

"We now interupt this battle to bring you Khorne Flakes, enough protein inside to make you join Chaos and slaughter your enemies!"

My claws dug into the railing, puncturing the weak metal. "Come on Philly!" i shout, my voice echoing. Stop yelling! You're going to distract him. I continued watching. I pulled my claws out of the railing and leaned against the wall.

Philly howled out in pain as he felt his arm snap. He tried to get his hand free but it was no use. Hearing Nixs words he thought "I cant lose my first match" then he headbutted Riku in the face.

I ran over to the railing, my nails puncturing another set of holes. Its okay. Try your hardest. Just relax and Focus I whispered to him

As Philly's attack connects, it jerks Riku's head back, making his hood fall down. Exposed is a half rotting skull with iridescent red eyes boring into Philly, skin hangs off in places ans the smell is increased tenfold. Letting out another screech, his jaw disjointed, allowing his mouth to open alot wider than was possible.
After Breaking Philly's arm, he transferred his grip onto the kid's face, throwing him across the arena while he pulled his hood back up

Philly stands up slowly, horrified of what he just saw. He pulls out his laser rifle and fires a couple shots. His aim was off however because he was limited to using one arm.

"I swear I'm going to destroy that ad screen next match." He watched the match with a detached smirk, keeping his eyes on Philly. "Newblood isn't doing too badly... Maybe he'll live through this one."

Riku brings up a large rock, shielding himself from the laser fire. The rock was too heavy to throw so he dropped it. Pulling out one of his shorte swords he threw it towards Philly to distract him while he picked up his main weapon and Philly's laser pistol. He fired a few shots from that towards the combatant.

Philly dodged the mini sword and ducked behind a rock slab. He blind fires a few more shots from his laser rifle. "i need my swords back"

Come on buddy focus on that beast within you. Do something that other guy wouldn't think for you to do. Maren whisperthought to him unaware that Nix was doing the same thing.

Riku crushed the rock slab and fired the shards at him. darting to the side to avoid the shots, though one caught him in the arm. Silent as death he flew towards Philly and stabbed towards him with deadly precision.

My nails now almost completely through the railing, Oh god, I don't know if I can watch

Philly dodged the rock shards, but didnt realize Riku was flying at him until it was too late. The blade pierced him through his chest. He coughed up a bit of blood and stared into Rikus hood.

I retract my claws and hold my face in my hands. You're okay Kid. I'll be waiting for you when you return she said to him.

Riku bent low towards Philly "Do you give in, warrior?" he said in his low, ragged tone. The smell of decaying flesh prominent and the stench of drying blood. From this proximity you could hear his bones scraping against each other. "you have fought honourably, So I offer you a respite...Do you give in? or do you wish to die?"

"shoot! No, Philly! Aw jeez poor kid this is the hardest death." Maren said as he put the bottle of water he had been dangling psychically to make Nix admit she had been giving him advice too. it's alright buddy I'll be in the infirmary waiting for you.

Philly smiled weakly and said "I cant give up, she is expecting me to win." After saying this he pulls Rikus mini sword that he had thrown at him out from behind his back and stabs where Rikus heart should be.

I looked up and smiled, my tail wagging wildly. That's it Kid! I knew you could do it! she said happily

wait maybe he's got it! Maybe he's not dead Yeah! Do you think he did it Nix?

"Huh... Sneaky little guy, isn't he?" Arke steps up to the railing, looking out into the arena at the two fighters. "This could be interesting..."

Riku roared in anger "Then you have chosen death!" He twists his blade around inside Philly, churning up his insides before pulling it out. He fell to one knee, gasping for breath. "I gave you an opportunity for a painless defeat...and you threw it back in my face" Pulling the blade from his chest, he swung both at Philly's neck, intending to decapitate him. He knew he was't going to last much longer...he could already feel parts of his body shutting down.

I looked away at the sound of the wrenching of Philly's body. I peeked out and saw the blade swipe across Philly's throat. "NO!" I shrieked, my emotions getting the best of me

Philly screams out in agonizing pain, feeling his insides being twisted around inside in him. he falls to the ground on both knees. seeing the blade coming toward him he leaned back trying to dodge, but failed. He fell over on the ground dead.

I looked over the railing, by body trembling. Don't worry, He'll be back soon. He fought well.

Riku fell to his knees, a sizeable pool of blood around him, both his own and Philly's. Dropping his sword he delivered his final words "....Hardly seems....f...fair...." and with that, he passed into the void.

I look at them both. "That's two battles where both combatants died."

Arke began clapping slowly, closing his eyes and listening to the crowds roar. "Not bad, Newblood... Not bad at all..."

A beeping sound comes from my "backpack" as it slides the helmet over and sends me a message..."Damn..looks like I got to go do some research before I come back, sorry Nix" I said with a lopsided grin, and ran out of the arena...

Grimsy walked to the hallway where the cells where searching for his bunk thinking First day here.........Try not to make too many enemies.....and try not to look like a fool...

After a while Grimsy finaly found the correct cell where his bunk was so he unpacked his things and watched some contestants walk by Some people sure look tough.....let's just hope they haven't faced a mage before

Maren walked into his cell and found another person unpacking their things on the other bunk. "Um hello." he said to what appeared to be a magic user of some sort judging by his energy.

Grimsy waved his hand to Maren "Hello....." he replied silently "It appears that we have to share a room"
He sure is tall about twice as high as me and looks quite tough, better not be rude

Riku regained consciousness in the infirmary. Looking around he saw Philly in a bed close by. Getting out of bed he realised the medics must have taken his robes off to attend to his wounds, if anyone saw him now the would see his hideous facial features, and his torso which was paper white. Just below his main arms, there was another pair of dead, shrivelled up arms. On top of his shoulders were two bone spikes that had painfully ripped their way through his skin at one point in his life.
Along his entire body there were scars and burns, lacerations and punctures that wouldn't heal. His arms and legs were of a similar manner to each other, oddly shaped with parts of bones sticking through the skin. At the base of his back, the bottom of his spine was exposed to air. It seemed as if he had a tail once but it had been ripped off at the base. On his throat there were cuts and slashes, which gave reason to his raspy voice.
No question about it, this creature had had a hard life.

"Dont wort I am quite nice." Maren said to the newcomer unless we are fighting in the arena the I just like you will fight for my lfe he added to let his roomie know of his ability to speak through his mind. "So what's your name? Here walk with me my friend was in the arena today and is in the infirmary now."

Grimsy got scared a little by the fact that Maren could talk to him in his mind but calmly replied to the question "My name is Grimsy and sure why not not like i have anything else to do...." He smiled but his smile could not be seen through the mask " ohh and your name was?" he asked his roomie

"I am Maren out here, but in there," he said indicating the arena,"I am Todessen, the devourer of death. So you seem to be a magic user." he added with interest

Heading towards the infirmary, I met with the doctor who treated Riku.."Well, judging by the age of the scars on his body, he could easily be two hundred, probably four hundred years old...yet his body acts just like someone in their twenties...Just thought you might want to know that" the doctor said, and I was basically speachless, but I didn't let it show..."Well, thanks for telling me, and keep me posted, because besides your medical records, there is no history I could dig up, a few minutes before he got here was the best I could come up with" and with that, I left the infirmary to go see whos fighting next...

Riku whispered an incantation in an alien language "Asta un erni theldum". Black smoke began to rise up and envelop him, when it cleared, he was again in his robes with all his weapons intact and on his possession. Opening the door to the infirmary, he passed the doctor who had just divulged some information about him to the dragon. Grabbing the doctor by the throat and slamming him against the wall, he whispered into his ear "Do not divulge anymore information about me to anybody, or you will meet a most gruesome death." Riku dropped him and walked down the corridor to his room, gliding along the floor.

As I was heading towards the square where the fights would be predicted, I felt my back jerk, and realized it was my 'backpack' great...just what I need, more trouble... I thought as I doubled back, and soon ran into Riku....

Riku saw the dragon coming down the hall and moved slightly to the side for him, bringing his wings further in. His ragged breathing haggard and wheezy now. "Why the rush, Dragon?" His voice had taken on a slight crackle

"An issue in the inf...never mind, I already know who did it..." I said, narrowing my stare, but keeping control of my temper Nix isn't here, so I really can't afford to have an outburst here I thought as I waited for him to reply...

"Really?" He enquired, his facial features hidden by the hood. He moved a bit closer to the dragon, the stench could be smelt quite clearly from that distance and as he moved, you could hear the scraping and rubbing of bones "...Tell me more about this incident"

Maren turned the corner and saw the demon and chrono. By the looks of things there was going to be an out burst. Maren started chanting under his breath while his eyes glowed an electric blue-violet in case he needed to contain the situation.

"I obviously don't know, which is why I'm heading there" I said, really close to pushing him away in disgust...

Looking at his wrist mounted computer, Opha left the arena stands and ran into the hallway. Activating his active cameo, he snuck into the hallway where Chrono and Riku stood. "If that hot headed bruiser tries anything, he's going to end up in a load of trouble, and that demon better not threaten our medical staff, otherwise when he dies again in the arena there's no one to bring him back" he said to himself.

"What are you two doing" Maren demanded "for a high official you are really close to breaking the rules you upheld last night." with that he activated the spell and cast a shield between the two.

Whispering into Maren's ear he said "And you are really close to death right now little mage..."

The sudden barrier threw off his growing temper, and he pulled out his sword, shattering the barrier in two strokes "I was only trying to get to the infirmary since its my responsibility to watch over the staff and the rules, but if Riku here wants a fight, I can open the arena for a private match..." I said, sheathing my sword and relaxing..

"Little one, do not interrupt these two monsters, your bound to die if you do, let them be"

Riku paid no attention to the other two "Well, you said you already knew who did it which implies you know something about it...Regardless I am in no mood for a fight, so all this." he waved at the magician and the shields "is unnecessary. Unless you wish for one" He stepped aside to let the dragon through.

"well that is not what my energy readings were showing so excuse me for taking precautions" he said to chrono
you know I would like to see a match between the two of them he thought to the elite.

Whispering back he said "A match between those two, would be one of the most destructive matches of the century, you havn't seen Chrono fight, and trust me, he likes to destroy a lot of stuff"

I give the other fighter a cold stare before heading to the infirmary...

Riku follows the look with his red eyes until his gaze is upon the mage. Turning back forward, Riku walked up to the mage and said in a low, raspy tone "do not interfere, child..." Before he made to walk to his room with one last look behind him at the dragon going to infimary

Philly wakes up and sits up in bed, with bandages across his chest and stomach. He looks around wondering how long he had been out for.

Maren gave the hooded demon a cold stare back and said, " if there is to be any trouble I shall interfere to keep the peace." he said as he followed Chrono to the infirmary to see Philly.

I finnaly reach the infirmary and notice Philly is alive "Get back to your room, the living have no need to be in the infirmary..." I said coldly as I approached the doctor, who looked quite spooked..."Tell me who caused the issue..." I calmly demanded....

"come on Philly you need something to eat. You can eat with me and grimsy if you want." he said having heard the cold voice of chrono barking orders as if he were Khairn.

The doctor wouldn't respond, only give me a paniced look, and he shakily wrote down something and handed it to me 'Riku' was what I thought I was reading, but the lines are so horribly drawn, it could be Roku or Rikii....

Philly smiled and said "Thanks, i could really use some food right now. That is if my insides are all in their proper place again." He got up off of the bed and walked over to where Maren was.

As they walked out of the room Maren asked "so how was the match? Sorry if my thoughts distracted you. It was probably all my fault. What was your death like?"

Following Chrono, he uncloaked and said "I can answer that my friend, the secruity cameras around this place really tell a lot"

"Dont worry you didnt distract me. And by the way, dying sucks, when its painful at least" he said chuckling.

"yeah I've only died 3 times and I gotta tell you, it don't get any better. Now howzabout that first lesson in mind speaking?" he said to help cheer the fox up.

Riku reached his room. Opening the door he stepped inside and closed the door behind him, locking it. Taking off his robes and weapons, he crouched down into a meditative stance, his rotting lips forming incomprehensible words "Must hide my appearance..." With a few more words a black smoke surrounded his feet. Taking out a case from beneath his bed, he took a purple vial of liquid and drank it. The smoke enveloped his body quickly, and when it was gone, Riku stood there intact before he was killed the first time. All his fur replace, the white fur to cover his body the scars and burns gone and bushy tail regrown. The smell of Rotting flesh gone, replaced by a soft scent of juniper. His horse, rasping voice changed back to a refined accent, reminiscent of the south of England. And his bones all shifting into the right places.
He knew it wasn't going to last however...In a few weeks he would deteriorate again. But he liked to remember how it was before he was tortured to death. Summoning his robes back, he left the room, heading for the Dining hall...it had been a few years since he had last ate

"That sounds like a great idea" Philly says. "Then i could talk to anybody i wanted."

"Ok first clear your mind. Then picture me in your head and a speech bubble containing a message being sent to me. Go ahead try and send me something." he said trying awkwardly to explain something he had been able to do since birth.

"You do realize that even though he is of our squad, we ourselves barely know him, right?" I mentaly spoke to Opha, finnaly able to do so after having previous lessons with Nix...

"Alright" Philly says trying to do what Maren had just told him, but instead just getting a headache. "This is tougher than i thought" he said aloud, rubbing his head.

"ok I think I can explain it now." he said as he switched over to mindspeak see the actual words form in your head and project them to me. It's ok if you end up shouting to the entire cafeteria

"That's his assignment, Kharine told me he was the Shadow Assassin, the job requiring the most decietful people, after all they like to hide their identity, so it doesn't come off as much as a surprise." he said outloud, unable to speak with his mind, and mainly cause he loves to listen to himself. "About the incident, Riku threatened the good doctor here with death if he spoke about his history to anyone else, but he wouldn't turn on a fellow squad member now would he?"

Grimsy followed Maren and his friend to the cafeteria still little scared of the encounter in the hallway Violent behavior outside the arena and mind speaking huh?......everyone could be planing backstab someone........better not let my guard down he thought while watching Maren teaching his friend

"Hey Grimsy do you wanna learn this too?" Maren asked the newblood. "Come on Philly. You can do this."

Riku turned a corner and met with the two, his now soft, blue eyes met theirs. "I believe you two are looking for me?" Looking at Opha he continued "I know that you are aware of my need to be discreet, and so have guessed why I threatened the doctor, and I will only reveal my past if it is endangering you two, or if Khairne asks me personally" He stopped talking and waited for their response.

"Well i can try" Grimsy replied " Hope my mage training helps me to learn this faster..."
Focusing hard in forming a word and projecting it in Marens head worked Can you hear me..? Ughh...this is harder then it sounds like...
Places his hand on his head "Great...now my head hurts......"

"Actually I heard you Grimsy. I'm glad you can pick up on it pretty fast" Philly said. Concentrating, he closes his eyes and trys forming the words how you doing in his head and projecting it to Maren, but ends up saying it out loud.

"Well guess i gotta work on this...after my head stops hurting" said Grimsy " is this really supposed to put this much strain on the head?" he asked Maren while holding his hand on his forehead

"I'm not really sure. I've been able to do it since I was born." he face paws himself and says"wait just hold on one minute. I hope I don't have to fight today. I can only do this once every 2 hours." and with that he began to search both Grimsy's and Philly's mind toake the connections needed. "There now try it." he sad after about 5 minutes.

"Well, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wanna fight soon, all this spectating and patroling has me on edge..." I said, scratching the back of my neck frill

"Can you hear me now?" Philly thought in his head to Maren. His headache was still lingering around however.

Yes! Hah awesome. The headache will last for about an hour i'd guess. How about you Grimsy? he thought to his roommate

I woke up and stared at the ceiling, letting out a hoarse cough. When am I going to be over this aliment? i thought to myself rolling over and finally deciding to walk over to the infirmary to see what they could do. I slowly walked to the hallway, shivering.

Philly grabs a food tray and gets a heap load of food. "I am going to this" he says starting to scarf down his food.

Maren saw the fox and remembered his last death. He was starving after that too.

I put my back against the wall in the hall and slid down. Whatever it is, it's tiring me out beyond no belief. I thought to myself resting. The cool concrete against my hot body

(enjoy) I look around while eating. "I wonder when the next match will start"

"well, I'll see you two later" I said, walking out of the infirmary and down the hall, then I saw someone that made me feel quite lousy, the woman I ditched earlier to go on my 'research' mission. "Uh...hello 'Nix" I said with an uneasy smile.

Arks found Philly near another fur, approaching him from behind and patting his shoulder. "There you are. You did good out there, Newblood. Maybe you'll get by here after all."

Concentrating even harder this time, Grimsy attempts to speak to Maren What about now..?
"I think i need something to drink, anyone else want a drink? i could get it while i go there.." he said and waited for a response

Camo walked to to the cafeteria to grab somthing to eat, he looked around the cafeteria and saw some of the combatants
''well since the elite,wolf,fox and the demon already have fighted, that leaves the dragon,the mind talker and the golden retriver.hah this will be to easy!'' camo said to himself

I look at Chrono. "Hey you" I say, coughing. "I can't quite remember where the infirmary is. Can you show me? please." I slowly stand up.

"Well, yea, but I'm not sure you'll like whos in there" I said, putting her right arm over my shoulders and walking her towards the infirmary...

I look at him. "Who's there?"

"Riku, you know, the guy that tied with Philly...." I said, not even sparing a glance...

I look at Chrono and smile. "That's fine. I just need to get rid of whatever is keeping me in my cell. Why did you leave?" I look at him curiously.

"Its not like I can tell you, its stuff thats confidential to me, Khairn, the contestant, and the doctors, and death awaits those with loose lips" I said with a grimace....

"Ahh..." I look at the ground. I stop walking and kneel on the ground, and cough up blood. "Damn it" I stay hunched over.

"You know what, screw letting you walk.." I said, picking her up in my arms and dashing towards the infirmary....

I huddle close to his body trying to keep warm. I hope this thing doesn't freakin kill me I thought to myself.

I reached the infirmary, the doctor realized something was wrong and motioned me to put her on the nearby bed..." I don't know whats wrong, she just started coughing up blood....what happened Nix?" I asked, looking somewhat worried...

"What is sickening you, Mistress Nix?"

"I'm not... *coughs* sure. I came down with it after the battle between Philly and Riku. And my scar seems to have worsened." I said revealing the scar.

"How did you get this scar...it might have to do with the sickness"

Philly thanks the golden retriever and then says to Grimsy "Yea I could definately use a drink right now, but nothing too hard. I try to keep sober." He looks around the cafeteria trying to see if Nix was in there. He hadn't seen her since he was brought back to life.

"It was from my battle with Opha." I said looking at Chrono. I cover up the scar once more.

"How did you get your scar, I'm not asking when Nix..." I said with a weak laugh

"When Opha took the blade and sent it through my chest." I said faintly smiling. I closed my eyes and calmed the pounding in my head.

"Your body must have had a flame leak, which explains the other symptoms, thats easily fixable..." I said with a smile

I nod and slowly relax. "Oh thank god!" I look at him and smile.

I wince at the little pain it caused. "Wooh, thanks." I hope off the bed, my headache gone and my hoarse cough defeated. I throw my arms around Chrono and hug him tightly.

"Thanks, but you could have done it yourself, I just had experience, I would have known if the same stuff happened to me, but I usually had it fixed up before it got that bad" I said hugging her back

I smile. "Well see, I healed myself, but i failed to catch it before it worsened. You want to go for a walk?" I ask gleaming.

Riku took a back seat in all the proceedings and left once everything had calmed down. He had said what needed to be said and that was all. He began to walk back towards the canteen when he changed his mind and walked back to his room. Uttering yet another incantation, white smoke covered his body and left him with elegant, white robes with golden trimmings, his new face was in full view and he decided to go back into the canteen to see if anyone would recognise him, nobody did, accepting him as just another contestant. After receiving his food, he sat down on a nearby table and began to eat.

Philly decides to go to the arena. When he reaches the arena he noticed Nix laying down on a bench. He quietly walks up and sits down beside her, seeing how long it would take for her to notice.

Camo walked into the arena.when he had entered one of the combatant areas he suddenly saw the mage fiddling with his Ice blue magic.
he looked to the other side of the arena and noticed that the mind speaker hadn't showed up yet.
''hmmpf, amateur! showing his ability like that.''

I sit in the stands. a gentle breezy flows through my hair. "When is this thing starting?" I asked myself allowed looking around.

Riku walked down one of the many corridors in the complex, donning his traditional cloak once more as he drifted through the hallways, ears perked for any suspicious activity. Encountering two furs, they blocked his way, smirks on their faces
"We know what you are, Riku" The first fur said, he was of reasonable size and brandished a heavy cleaver
"Yeah, and you're going to pay for what you did to our friend" The second fur said, a hulking bear wielding a battleaxe.
"You don't scare us" The first one jeered at the Demon.
Riku stopped and looked at them both, despite the bears size, he was still dwarfed in comparison to the Demon. Not even taking out his weapon, he replied "That's a shame, they normally fight better when scared...It makes the hunt worthwhile". Riku began to laugh as their faces paled slightly. Regaining his composure, the bear let loose a roar and brought the battleaxe down, intending to cleave Riku in twain. The axe never reached it target however as Riku caught the blade in his hands, turning it into molten steel and Flicking it into the bear eyes, blinding him. While Riku was occupied however, The first fur got around Riku to his back and hacked away with the cleaver into his left wing, rendering it useless. Leaving the bear, Riku let loose a screech and spun around, grabbing the fur by the neck, he lifted him up by the neck before setting his entire body on fire, while the fur was writhing in agony, Riku converged on him, ripping him to pieces, tearing out his organs and tendons before his victims eyes.
Once he had finished with the first fur, the Demon rose and swirled to face the bear "...Now you experience my wrath! Centuries of anguish and pain! Rejection and loneliness! Tortured to death by the ones I thought were family...I place this curse upon you, to live out your days with my pain!" His demonic voice rang through the hallways. The bear screamed in agony, cuts and gashes appearing all over his body before he fell to the ground, to rise no more.

Arke sat in a lounge for the fighters, tapping on his wrist computer and enjoying a quick bowl of Raman before he called it a day. He made a point to keep his internal clock synced with his homeland, and as such maintained an odd sleeping pattern. He yawned, checking the latest roster for the next fight, and decided to record this one. Then he sprawled on his cot, his room not far away, and slept.

My ears twitched as I sensed a disturbance. What the heck was that I thought to myself before quickly rising. My curiosity got the better of me and I went looking for the cause of the set off. I quickly hurried down the corridors looking for anything that could have possibly set it off. I quickly smell the stench of flesh. I quickly covered my mouth and nose with arm as I continued onward down the hall. The stench grew worse and worse with every foot step. A change in tone of my foot step stops me in my tracks, as I look down. A puddle of blood had soaked my gray fur. "What the hell happened here" I said aloud, stepping out of the puddle. Quickly stumbling upon a mangled body, and the body of another. I look away. "Oh, god" I shuddered, quickly turning and run back to the stadium to find someone to help. I sent out a message to all Philly, Chrono, Opha... anyone... Come quick. You're needed in the East wing corridor. Pronto. I said looking away from the remains of the bodies.

Hearing the message, Opha sprints down the hallway, seeing the mangled corpses of the two bears, he hardly reacts, military life has made him a hard elite. Looking on the wall, he saw the signature, and S in a circle around a L. "Well at least Riku is doing his job" he thought (thoughts are unreadable, cause that's too unfair, and cause it ruins plot)

I lean against the wall. My mouth and nose still covered. "Who did this?" I asked, not looking at Opha.

The retriever gasped and fell sideways off his cot, yelping and rubbing his head. "I hate when she does that..." He grabs his plasma pistol and heads down the hallway, straightening out his uniform and adjusting his cap. He got to Opha and Nix, and saw the two mangled figures. "Huh..."

"Oh come on, another killing?!" I yelled as soon as I saw the bodies...

I quickly regained myself and walked over to the others. "This is too many. They aren't allowed are they?" I asked looking at Chrono, then Opha.

Enough with that meditation....but still way too nervous......... Grimsy thought as he stopped meditating and sat on the ground waiting for Maren to enter the arena.

Maren entered his eyes glowing a brilliant purple as he waited for someone to strike. He read his opponents energy grimsy was nervous but who could blame him? Camo was indifferent since he was a veteran at war games like these it seemed. Slowly under his breath he started chanting.

"Killing isn't allowed unless the ones who we see before us, made the first strike, then its simply self-defence..." I said, trying to push away a voice stating the obvious Riku killed again! it kept repeating...
*Grabs head in mental pain* "I gotta go, this is way to much to handle just before a match.." I said, walking away from the blood-bath...

I look at him confused but suddenly agree that he's right. I catch up to him and walk to the arena. I quickly run back to my seat and lay down, waiting for the gates to open and the battle to begin.

I run back to my room, and thats where I run into Kairne of all people, and before I could react, everything went....black.....

I wondered where Chrono had disappeared to. I stood up and stretched. Maybe he went back to his room I quickly hurried down the steps and to Chrono's room. It was empty. "Huh..." I sighed deciding to look around a bit.

Philly wonders what was going on since everybody kept coming and going. He stands up and starts walking down a hall, but trips over a body and lands in a puddle of blood. He hit his head when he fell and was knocked unconcious.

Walking down the hall, I stumble upon another body. "Philly?" I said quickly rushing over. "Oh good. He still has a pulse." I said picking him up, blood quickly staining my fur. I take him to his room and lay him on the bed and try to wake him up. His eyes slowly open, only to see crystal blue-green staring at him.

Maren adopts his favorite hand to hand combat style as he sees the bunker in the arena. perfect this is my specialty he thought to himself as he warily explored looking out for grimsy and camo.

When i finally come to i open my eyes to see Nixs deep eyes looking into mine. "I wish i could wake up to this every morning" he says chuckling. "Why am i covered in blood?"

I smile at his comment. "Haha, that's an interesting story." I said sitting down next to him. "Apparently Riku killed again. I'm guessing for the same reason as before. When I found you, you were laying in it, unconscious. So I brought you here. I'm guessing you slipped in it." I giggled.

"I cant believe he killed again. Was it self defense again?" Philly asked sitting up in his bed.

"Yes it was, and I bear the mark this time" Riku replied. He was stood at the door, back in his old robes, his left wing still hung limply, covered in blood. His sword was drawn, but it dragged along the floor. Before the two could react he continued "I'm not going to attack you or anything, I just followed you to make sure there were no more ambushes, the hallways have become dangerous it seems"

I looked at him sternly, and quickly stood in front of Philly. My eyes turned to a dark purple. "I understand defense... but can you at least keep it clean." I said, anger radiating from my body. I quickly relaxed, my eyes fading back to their normal crystal blue-green. "Look, just keep it cleaner next time. This is the second time today I'm stained with blood. And I also recommend you stop getting yourself into trouble." I said sitting back down next to Philly.

Shocked by Rikus sudden appeareance Philly starts to growl but calms down when he realizes there was no danger. "Ummm Nix, I didnt know your eyes could change colors" he says looking back at her.

Philly glances at Rikus wing noticing that it was broken. He looks back at Nix and then falls back on the bed relaxing.

Riku sighed "I don't do clean deaths...they never work..and it's kind of hard to stay out of trouble when it finds me". Riku took a step into the room and leant against the wall, his wing dripping slightly "Blood showers out quite easily anyway". Looking at his wing he replied "I'll live". He began to chuckle at the irony of what he just said

"Uh... right?" I said, confused at his laugh. I sat back against the wall and poked Philly randomly. Then looking at Riku again I ask, "Why are you here exactly? And what was with the disguise, and the question about Chrono and myself." I badgered.

Riku took down his hood, revealing his face again. "I'm here because my master will me to be here. The disguise was a simple test." At the last question, he let out a smile "I was growing bored, you are much more entertaining when angered...you'll find I have little patience for trivial matters..." He grew silent, his unblinking gaze fixed directly at Phoenix.

Feeling Nix poke him, Philly brushes his tail across her nose, then sits back up like he hadnt done anything and said "Well im glad it washes out easily."

Riku chuckled and pulled his hood back up, breaking the gaze "I would like to see that, there are very few things I regret, now I have outstayed my welcome, and will bid you two farewell..". He turned and walked out of the door and down the corridor towards the bodies and collected a few vials of blood from the corpses.

"Oh thank god" I said with a great sigh, my body relaxing. I shut my eyes then looked at Philly. I quickly got up and shut the door, then sat back down in the same spot.

I give out a little sneeze. "Ah, choo!" I giggle and continue to tickle you. My eyes stare into yours. "So, you want to go watch that battle?" I smile.

"I would love to go see the fight with you, but id better clean myself up first. I dont want someone to think i was fighting outside the arena." Philly says with a smile.

I smile. "Yea agreed. I'll meet you there. I'm going to go clean up myself." I said opening his door then running to my room to clean up.

Philly stands up and walks over to his bathroom and jumps in the shower trying to wash the blood out of his fur. It was at this time that an almost blinding headache had finally came to him after hitting his head earlier.

I quickly jump in the shower and dry myself off. I then get dressed. I do my hair and exit my room. I reach the arena and go to the middle section of stands and sit down.

Philly gets out and dries off and puts new clothes on. He walks to the arena and starts looking around for Nix. When he finally found her he walks over and sits down beside her. "Hey again!"

"Hey, that blood came out well. How's your head?" I asked laughing lightly.

"My head is killing me right now actually. I just may have a slight concussion." Philly said chuckling slightly.

"Aww, I'm sorry. I could help if you want." I said smiling

"Really? Well please do whatever you can to help." he said smiling back.

"Okay. Come here." I said holding up my hands. I held his head between my hands and shut my eyes, a light wave of energy blew over him as the headache slowly vanished. After a few moments I released his head and smiled. "There, that should feel better."

Zagreus waited eagerly outside the Arena sharpening his gun blade and checking the Merlin's power packs.

~A lone figure, decked from head to toe in black armor, walks out of the corridor Chrono was in, and proceeds towards the arena~

I decide to get a drink, "I'll be right back Philly." I said as I get up to get something from the vending machine. "You want anything?" I turn and ask him.

Riku made it back to his quarters and opened up the case once more, placing the two vials of blood on the side, he grabbed some ingredients from his case and put them into a mortar and pestle. Once he had ground them up, he poured the blood into the mixture, turning the concoction a maroon colour. With his eyes rolling back into his head, the demon recited an ancient phrase, making the concoction boil and turn a dark purple. He filled the two vials with it and placed them in his case.
Leaving the room, Riku had no desire to see the fight and so began to walk along to the canteen. He then realised he was covered in blood and his wing was practically hanging off "...Maybe I should take a trip to the doctor..."

~The figure reaches the arena, and a presence of death is felt around him as he stands between the seats~

I quickly whip back around. My eyes grow wide, Who is that? I decide to go back up to where Philly is seated. "Uh, never mind. I'm not thirsty anymore" I said uneasily.

"You arent thirsty anymore? Well that was sudden. I was gonna ask for some water." Philly said unaware of the new figure dressed black.

"Uh, yea I'll go get that for you." I said timidly. I stood up and walked down, trying to avoid the large figure.

~upon closer insepction, the armor seems to be a more sinister version of Chrono's, and the sword on his back is almost identical~

I eye the armor for a moment. That looks oddly familiar to Chrono's I thought to myself. I ran and got water for Philly. I returned in a moment and ran back up to Philly.

A bunker huh? careful now someone might be standing behind any corner...Grimsy though as he walked into the bunker like structure. When he entered the Bunker he walked slowly trying to now give away his location by making noise

"Thanks for the water, and for getting rid of my headache." Philly said.

~The figure looks at Philly, and the helmet slides off, showing Chrono with glowing red eyes, then after a sneer, it slides back on, and he looks out at the arena~

I look at Chrono, saddened. "Oh, No problem. It was nothing" I said, hiding the emotion.

"Is that Chrono over there?" Philly said nodding in the direction of Chrono.

Riku reached the infirmary, leaving a trail of blood from his wing. Opening the door, he walked towards one of the doctors there "...I need you to heal this..." He indicated the ruined wing and laid out on an operating table. Closing his eyes.
The doctor, feeling uneasy in the demons presence asked "Do you want to be anaesthetised?"
"No" Riku replied shortly
"Okay then, prepare yourself" The doctor warned, and began to clean the wounds on his wing. Once he had finished that, he assessed the damage. "Quite a few of the tendons have been cut...I think the only thing to do is amputate it". The doctor continued, in a apologetic manner, as though it was his fault Riku's wing was in it's current state
"Fine, do it." Riku replied, emotionless.
Walking out of the infirmary with a bandaged stub where his left wing used to be, he walked back to his room and took off his robes, going to the shower.

My ears went down, "yes, but I don't know what's wrong with him" I said softly. I looked at Philly and tried to perk my ears up

"He looks...evil now. And quite frankly I'm a bit frightened because I don't think he likes me very much." Philly said trying to stay out of Chrono's view.

~He taps the side of his helmet, and the Arena's P.A. system activates~ "Will the other two combantants please show up or you will be banned from the Arena..."

Well that sounds like serious business. The others better get here soon, otherwise I'll be the only member left of Halo" Philly thinks to himself.

I smile at Philly's thought. "I'm sorry, your close and I can't turn it off." I said looking at the arena. What happened to him? He isn't himself. Something is wrong

"That's alright, I have no need to hide my thoughts from you" Philly said, smiling at Nix.

I turn to him and smile. "You want to go back to your room or something. I don't really want to sit here and see Chrono not himself." I asked my tone sad.

"Yea sure. The match hasn't even started yet anyways. And I'm sure Chrono will be fine" he said trying to comfort her.

~He looks at Nix, then he starts walking towards her, his aura completely masked by the armor~

I stopped as Chrono proceeded towards me. I began to walk towards him slowly. I signal Philly to sit for a moment.

~He stops right as he gets within 2 meters of Nix, then the helmet slides off~ "Excuse me miss, have we met before, because I remember someone with that face, but the name eludes me"~His face is jet-black scales and eyes are glowing crimson~

I stop breathing for a moment. A wave of sorrow crashes over me. "No, I don't think we have." I said with tears in my eyes. I push past him angrily and storm down to my room.

~He looks as she runs away, and is completely confused~ "Was it something I said?" ~Helmet slides back on and he continues to watch over the stadium~

Philly sees Nix take off running crying. He stands up and runs after her but soon realizes he had no idea where her room was. "Where the heck did she go?"

I sat in the hall near Philly's room. I looked at the floor, That's not Chrono. Something is... Wrong with him I thought. I stopped crying and stood up, suddenly punching the wall. My knuckles began to bleed. I wiped the tears away and toughened up. This isn't going to get to me... not now. I thought my eyes flickering to purple then back to normal. I decided to go find Philly.

Philly starts walking to his own room. "Maybe she went there" he said.

I see Philly no too far from me. I run to him, hiding my hand. "Hey, sorry I ran out of there." I said apologetically.

"Its alright, but what did he say to you to make you so upset?" Philly asked.

"He asked if we had ever met, and that I had a familiar face..." I said looking down then meeting his eyes, the crystal blue-green now a deep blue-green.

"Something must have happened to him. As soon as the next match is over i am going to find out what exactly. I promise" he said, staring into her deep eyes. It took nearly everything he had in him to not lose his train of thought while looking into them

I smiled my eyes lightening back to their crystal color. "Thanks. I'll help you." I smile and hug him tightly.

Philly hugged her back, enjoying the short moment while it lasted. "Opha might know something about it, seeing as how they are always whispering back and forth." he says looking back in the direction of the arena.

Riku stepped out of the shower and dried himself. He let out a sad sigh at his missing wing and donned his black robes again. Moving out of his room, he headed towards the canteen. Looking down a corridor, he saw Nix and Philly, though he was too far away to hear anything and continued on to the canteen. He could smell the food and is mouth was watering.

"I suppose he might." I said. A dripping sound came from my hand. "Why don't I meet you at the Arena. I have to go mend something." I insisted, my hand still behind my back.

"Wait a second, are you hurt?" he asked trying to look behind her.

Smiles, "no, not at all." I hold the bloodied hand in my other hand to stop the dripping.

"Alright ill meet you back at the arena then." he said before walking off towards the arena.

~Touches his ear peice again, and tries to reach Opha~ "Hey, you there man?"

"Well well well, look who's back, how ya been?"

I quickly run to the infirmary and get my hand wrapped in gauze. I then hurry back to the arena. I see Philly and go sit next to him. Opha. What is going on with Chrono? I quickly sent out a message to him

"Been better, say, I just met a girl, I think i've seen her before, but her name just isn't coming to me..."

"Well You'll find out eventually, hold on I got another message"
Wishing he could answer Nix telepathically, he just waits for her to arrive before saying
"I dunno, I guess Chrono reverted to his previous mind set, he never met anyone to love in this mind set, but personally this one is more efficent if ya ask me"

My ears twitched, as I heard what Gabag has said. I'm glad you enjoy it I thought angrily. I looked at Philly. "Opha doesn't seem to really care." I said my ears laying back.

"I punched a wall. The wall won." I said, laughing lightly. "I just don't understand. It was.. sudden."

Walking over to where Nix is Opha says "Hey look, I'm sorry about what I said before, but back in the day when Chrono was like this, we were the best of buds, and it's kind've good to see an old friend come back, but since your down about it, we need to figure out how to get him back to himself."

I look at Opha. "No, it's fine..." I said holding my hand, as I look away from him.

"What im wondering though is how he just suddenly reverted back to his old self." Philly said to Opha.

My eyes widened at his comment. "That's it..." I looked at Philly. "Don't we have to be somewhere?" I asked nudging him.

I quickly jump up and grab Philly's arm. "It was nice talking to you" I wave good bye. I look back and pull Philly around the corner. "I think I know who is behind this."

"Khairne..." I said angrily. "He would pull something like this..." my eyes slowly went to a purple but went back after blinking. I look at Philly.

"Nix, your eyes did the thing again"

"It happened when I become outraged, my aura changes and so do my eyes. It easy for me to lose control, so I have to constantly relax. That's why the color doesn't stay long." I answered. "We need a plan." I said looking into his eyes.

I reach my room and see Chrono. "What are you doing here?" I asked, defensively.

"No, it doesn't. It's the way you SHOULD feel." I said my tone showing anger, and sorrow. "I have to go, I'm sorry." I look at Philly. "Let's go to your room." I grabbed his hand.

"Keeping tabs on the gladiators again, Chrono regained his first memories, ahhh the good times back in the day, with those drinking games. that's how he got that scar on his hand, he accidentally slipped and stabbed himself, but we poured more booze in it and he was happy. but about today, I just found out Philly has something for Nix, DRAMA ALERT! it's like something you would see in Lost or something, Maren and his buds are fighting, and Nix's hair is the most amazing hair i've ever seen I mean &*%$ and now I think Nix and Philly are staring at me so I need to leave now"

Calling out to Nix he said
"no really though Kharine does use a crystal to store people's memories, this isn't the first person he's done this too"

I cup my hand over my mouth. "OOO, are you ok?" I laugh and help him up. In the back of my mind Chrono flies around. I wonder if he will ever come around to himself... I smile at Philly.

~He arrives in the cafeteria, and notices Nix, and quickly makes his way toward her, pushing away anyone and anything in his way~

I look at the storming Chrono, my heart beats quickly. I stand there, motionless.

~He grabs her by the shoulders, and in a somewhat paniced voice...~"What is your name?!"~the helmet slides off so he can hear her better, and it also shows how much mental suffering he's going through~

Standing up Philly says "Yea im alright." He then sees chrono and says "Oh dear, what happened?"

"I'm not sure, He charged after me and demanded my name." I said, worry in my tone. I looked at Philly. "I'm glad your alright."

Sorry, he can't hear you mind-crawler, or whatever Riku called you, but this warrior is under my control now..~A set of glowing yellow eyes and an array of serrated teeth are all that can be 'seen'~

I winced at the piercing voice. "Damn it... Khairne has him... I can't communicate with him." I said my ears lowering.

"Well its only a matter of time before Khairne gets what he deserves" Philly said reassuringly.

~He rises back up, and looks at Nix~ "How did I end up here?"

I look at him, my ears perking back up slightly. "I hope you're right." I look back at Chrono. "His eyes flickered back to normal when he repeated my name." I said looking at the ground then Philly. I look at Chrono again. "You charged after me... demanding my name..." I said angrily.

"Pho....nix?" ~The eyes stop glowing, but then anger fills his aura~ "You, you were the one who killed those people!" ~Draws sword and his eyes are now pitch black~

Decloaking behind chrono he leaps on and jabs him in the neck with a stunner
"Just calm down budd, let's not do anything crazy, just calm down....."

I stumble backwards. "What?!" I quickly pull my bow and fire an arrow, but miss. "Philly, run!" I shout as I pull my sword. I quickly flip backwards. My eyes tearing up from his fury. I drop my sword and hit the ground with my knees, tears streaming down my face.

~The eyes clear up for a moment~ Nix, its not Khairne, its Ho... ~Is now completely out~

"You dont have to tell me twice!" Philly said running down the hall towards the arena.

I slide down, now sitting down hugging my knees. I bury my face and sob.

Riku had been sat in the canteen a while, observing the happenings. Overhearing parts of the conversation "Circles within circles it seems...I wonder what Kharin would want with a brainwashed Chrono?" He poked at his food, moving it about before standing up and leaving the canteen. Turning back he saw Chrono draw his sword and felt the desire to protect the people in the canteen "I don't even know why I'm so bothered...I should concern myself with my own purpose...I have grown complacent, and it cost me my wing. Others are insignificant, their deaths are irrelevant" His anger grew. His body becoming deformed and rotting again. The red glow and rattling breath returned as he walked down the hall. Once he reached his room, he sat in a meditative stance, communicating with his master.
Once he opened his eyes, his wing had regrown, partially. Sinews and bone was exposed to the air, giving him an extra mark of failure. Walking back out, he nearly collided with Philly.

"Geez Riku...you startled me" Philly says staying cautious of anything that may happen.

I wipe away my tears and decide to go back to my room. I slowly walk down the hall. I notice that the room next to mine is destroyed. I ignore it and shut my door and lay on my bed, curled up into a ball.

Riku turned to look at him. "Well then maybe you should watch where you're going...and maybe you shouldn't be so quick to desert your friends...you may find at one point you need them". Riku emphasised his point by pinning Philly against a wall, Drawing his sword, placing it against his neck. Dropping him, Riku sheathed his blade and continued "Consider it an important life lesson"

Rubbing his neck Philly mutters under his breath "I would have only gotten in the way..."

I quickly shot Philly a message. "You alright?"

Riku grunted "It's better in the way than dead. I know that from experience" With that, He walked off and out of sight.

Bansat sighed, he had just been told by the head engineer that one of the combatants rooms had been damaged, and he was to go repair the damage. Picking up his toolbox, he shuffled off towards the damage. when he arrived he noticed the door next to it was closed, shrugging, he looked inside the damaged room and saw the problem and quickly (at least in his case anyways) got to work on the repairs.

Exiting my room and slowly amble down the hallway. I steer clear of the Cafe. Why did he try attacking me? I didn't kill anyone. I look at the ground and continue to walk, my ears down. I go out to the arena and sit at the top stands, and look at the clouds.

Philly finally finds his way back to the arena. He grips the railing and looks down at the slowly progressing fight below.

I see Philly and a strange feeling arises as my ears perk up for a strange reason.

(from all that I missed) Marens head exploded with pain as he sensed suffering and anger as though a bullet train going full speed had hit him. "AAAARRRGGHHHH!!!!" he shouted as he writhed in pain. Nix! Philly! What just happened? I feel ready to explode from the neck up!!! he stood doubled over in pain for about five more minutes and finally regained his composure though his eyes were back to their normal icy blue-green. After another minute or so his eyes were glowing again and he saw Camo walking warily towards the bunker. Maren charged with his hands glowing purple, infused with energy going for camo's sternum.

~Shortly after the cafeteria is emptied of people, a 'sphere' of shadow flame travels down from his chest and to his left arm, then it drops to the ground, rolling a distance away from him, then it starts to expand until it reaches about Chrono's height, then the sphere shatters, revealing a dragoness almost made of shadow flame~ "She's gone now love, so I'll take you to the doctor..." ~She picks him up and carries him down the hall, with only the cameras as a witness to her existance~

Monitering the cameras, Opha mutters... "So she finally revealed herself, it was only a matter of time anyways, but we need to make sure she's dead for real this time eh Kharine"
"DONT WORRY I'LL MAKE SURE SHE DIES SLOWLY, PAINFULLY, ON DISPLAY FOR THE WORLD TO SEE!"

*fires the Merlin at a large rock* STOP STARRING AT ME!!!!

~She arrives at the infirmary, and places him on a bed, then she lies down next to him and dozes off~

Riku had been walking about the complex aimlessly, He had been trying to find Opha but had no luck so far "...Sometimes I think being a mind-crawler would be worth it just so I can find and talk to the people I need" He muttered to himself, though to anyone else it would just sound like a low, broken growl.

Bansat finished the repairs and took a step back to admire his work, if he was lucky it would be at least a week before someone trashed that room again. satisfied, he realised there werent very many repairs to do, and so he decided to just take a walk through the complex

I sat on the top row of the stands. Sorrow consumed me. My ears lowered, and my tail motionless. I remained saddened. There has to be something I can do to take control of him...

while camo was approaching the door he could hear running from his left.
He quickly turns left and sees kindran Hurling towards him with great speed.
Camo didn't have time to react but he maneged to move so he got hit in the shoulder instead.
''how did he see me!!! well now i know my Invisibility(active camo) doesn't work on mind creepers.'' he toughed to himself as he ran to hide in the bunker.he readied his claw's if he saw grimsey in the bunker.

I stood up and decided to walk around the arena. I quietly walk past Philly and wander aimlessly down the halls.

Maren wasn't ready to give up the fight yet. He swung at camo with his glowing hands as he used his tk to pick up his shuriken gun and aim for his head. He swung and fired aiming ad his chest and head.

"Here, it would be unfair for me to have you sleep here and not be able to hear the match"~She searches for a remote, and activates the flip-down monitor above Chrono's bed, showing the arena stage. Then she gets back onto bed and snuggles with him~

Eventually giving up on actively searching for Opha and coming to the conclusion that he will find him at one point. Leaning against the wall, Riku looked at his ruined wing, his anger boiling up again. But this time it was directed at his master "I have been his most loyal apprentice and servant, I have killed countless people for him...and yet he still punishes me if I fail even slightly? Well, as soon as I get the chance, I'll oppose him and take his place" He was so caught up in his thoughts, he almost ran into Phoenix. Stopping, he looked at her and in his rattling voice he Apologised "...I...am Sorry..." Though he didn't specify what, he could've been sorry for what happened to her, Sorry for how he acted towards her, or just sorry because he nearly collided with her. He began to move on, though he kept an ear peeled if there was a reply

Walking out of the surveillance room, Opha stumbles upon Riku
"well well well, the shadow assassin honors me by desiring my presence, what can I do for you o terrible one" he said sarcastically

Riku growled lowly "...Keep the sarcasm to yourself in the future, Opha...I need to talk with you about serious matters...Would it be possible for you to meet me at my room in ten minutes? I am disinclined to talk about these matters here...I find the walls have ears".

"Besides my ears there's nothing to be afraid of, but whatever you want.. Till next time"

~She's stroking his hair when something sets her off~ "*growls* Don't tell me that witch is coming here, I told her that you and I already have a relationship, and that she better back off!"

I look at the infirmary. I spot a female with Chrono, my eyes quickly change to purple as my voice doubles up with a deeper voice, one of a demons. "Who the hell do you think you are!" my voice struck the air fiercely. Energy pulsated from my body as a flame of black and purple formed around me. "You're the witch behind this. You have a lot of nerve" I boomed. Anger poured from my words. There was no controlling my anger now, nothing could conceal it.

As if on cue, two of Kharine's 'special' troopers stroll into the the infirmary and lay a hand on Chrono's new 'friend'
"YOU HAVE BEEN FOUND OF YOUR CRIMES OF THE CORPORATION AND YOU MUST BE PUNISHED!!!"

Riku opened the door to his room and opened the case on his table. Drinking the vial, he returned back to his normal self. Putting the case away, he waited for Opha to show up.

I smirked and crossed my arms. My anger continued to fume from my body. My aura now completely black, I looked at the guards. "I'll battle her," my voice beckoned, the demon still lingering on my voice. The demon was speaking for me, my mind engulfed by it.

Laying a hand on Nix's shoulder, Opha says coldly... "no, you'll do nothing, it'll be better for your health if you do nothing and let Kharine do what he did last time, seal her up in a prison, she got out somehow, but we'll make sure she stays locked up"

My demon roared inside of me. "No! If she thinks she can come and steal what I love, then she'll have to die by my blade." I was completely lost now, my mind was over taken.

Grimsy heard figthing in the bunker so he readied his ice bolt spell while sneaking towards the place were the commotion was coming from

as kindran is hurling towards camo once more with his fist's this time he was prepared for the punches.he grabbed hold of kindrans arm but
he hadn't noticed the shurikens approacing his chest. Camo got shot in in the chest before he had time to reverse his attack. his shield emidietly de-energized itself.He quickly equiped his gun to his left hand and started shoting randomly to get kindran scared and make him back of so he could run for it.
Camo sprinted to the darkest area of the bunker and toughed
''seems i have to use the prototype 100 o/o active camo, even tho i will be exhausted and damaged after using it this is my only chance
HE quickly activated the Active Camo in the shadows.''well now they will fight each other.'' he toughed as he could hear grimsy and kindran approaching each other '' to bad i can't move tho'' he toughed to himself

"I guess Opha didn't tell you anything about Chrono before you met him, or else you would have known about me"~ She stands up and shadow-flame covers her entire body like a shield ~ "Like I said before, Chrono is mine now, just like he was before Khairne locked me away!"

Still fuming I stepped forward, my fists clenched. "Your supposed to be locked away. And he has moved on... You wouldn't have had to put his mind under lock down if he still loved you. So obviously... HE DOESN'T" My words pierced the air, every word spat out like venom, stinging the dragoness. The purple in my eyes began to swirl into the pupil, looking almost as if to be a black hole. My claw grew, as the demon grew more furious.

Nix, she can't be reasoned with, and she's paranoid I'll banish her, go open my left hand, it should help....'P.S.', you look cute when your eyes get like that...~Her fire aura becomes more furious~"Shut up and die!" ~Shoots five fireballs from her hand, one from each fingertip~

Dodging every fireball simply, I smile and laugh manically. I quickly shoot past her and pry open Chrono's hand.

My eyes quickly fade back to normal, as I collapse to the ground. "Damn it" I say, my eyes flickering to the Dragoness, who now has the upper hand.

~the hand drops a recording sphere, and a note saying 'grab her heart' is written on it~"I'm going to enjoy tearing you apart..."~Focuses her fire in her arms, completely draining her shield~

I quickly shut my eyes and shield my face, waiting for my life to soon come to an end. I searched for my demon, yet nothing came through. Chrono, I can't do it. I cried. I quickly stood up and push the dragoness to the ground and ran to the arena, looking for Philly.

Philly was enjoying watching the battle when out of nowhere Nix runs up to him. "Hey Nix, whats up?"

"I need you. Hit me!" I pleaded. "If you don't....... I'll die."

"Ummm dont you have that backwards?" he asked confused.

"what do you mean?" I looked at him confused. "Alright, fine... Just come with me. I pulled him to my room and locked the door."

"Nix...is somethhng wrong" Philly asks looking worried.

Maren tried reading the energies of his prey that dissapeared as he backed up to dodge the bullets. oh camo. Where are you don't you know that both cats and snakes are hunters by nature. You've just turned this into theist exciting hunt ever he thought to camo toying with his mind. He started to chand another spell that might just shed some light on his situation.

"Yes. Chrono is being controlled by A female dragon, who claims that they are in love, and I lost control, but now I can't seem to find my demon again.... She's going to kill me..." I sputtered. My words spilling out quickly.

"Your demon? How do i come into play in all this?" he said raising an eyebrow.

"Just, help me please." I said looking at him. Tiredness showed in my eyes. I began to stumble around.

"Alright ill help in anyway that i can" Philly says.

I smiled warily, as I slowly met the ground.

Philly nearly stumbles over himself to catch Nix before she hit the floor. He picks her up in his arms and lays her out on the bed. "Oh dear oh dear oh dear."

I wake up and see Philly. "This is a nice way to wake up," I smiled warily.

Philly smiles and blushes trying to hide it, but failing. "Well i wouldnt mind having you wake up beside me more often."

I look into his eyes and smile. "really?" I asked, quickly remembering the Dragoness.

"Yea, really really" Philly says looking back into her eyes, taking in tge moment.

I smile, "Let me explain my situation." I looked at him deeply.

"Alright, im all ears. Explain away." he says.

"When Chrono attacked me in the Cafe, It was because of a Dragoness. She had him under mind warp. She loves him, and sees me as a threat. She's trying to kill me now." I said, worry struck my eyes.

"She wants to kill you?! Well she will have to get through me first." Philly said confidently.

I smiled, my eyes flickered to purple. "Yea, well I have a way of killing her... but I can't. My demon, or what drives me over the edge, is no where. I can't seem to awaken it again."

"Right, your demon. So how do we wake it up?" Philly asked, hoping it wasnt how he thought it would be.

"sadly, anger. That's why I asked you to hit me earlier." I frowned.

Frowning almost at the same time he says "Do you still want me to hit you?"

"I can't think of any other way...." I muttered.

He groaned then said "If i have too...i just dont want to hurt you."

"I know, I'm not even sure if this is going to help." I shrugged.

He looks at the wall beside him. Sighing he says "Tell me when then..."

I bite my lip and look at him, "When..." I shut my eyes.

Philly shuts his tight. He curls his fist up into a ball, draws it back slowly, and punches Nix in the stomache.

I open my eyes wide, the wind quickly escaping my guy and lungs. I gasped trying to breathe in air. My eyes flickered but didn't stay. "O..... Ok.... Sl....slap.... me... acr...across.... the face." I gasped.

"Id really rather not" He mumbled before slapping her across the face, his mouth forming the words im sorry, but nothing came out.

My face shot around, my lip beginning to bleed. My eyes flickered again, but nothing happened. "Damn it! I don't get it" I pounded my fist on the wall. A tear fell down my cheek. I looked at Philly. "I'm sorry..."

"I hope i never have to do that again" he said still staring at the wall to their side.

I put my hand to his face. "I won't ever ask you too again." I looked into his eyes, his pain showed greatly.

He looked back into her eyes, trying at another feeble attempt to hide his feelings. He was never really good at it. Now he was at a loss for words.

I pulled him closer and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry for asking you to do that..." I apologized

"Where the hell is he?" Riku growled. He paced his room for a few minutes before going outside and walking down the halls. Seeing Phoenix run from the Infirmary, he decided to enter and see what was the fuss, maybe this is what held Opha up. Opening the door, he saw the Demon next to Chrono, but that was of little coincidence, he was only interested in finding Opha.

"It was for a good reason i suppose..." he said hugging her back, softly nuzzling her.

"Well, now that she's gone, I guess its time to let you awaken"~Chrono suddenly snaps his eyes open, grabs the sphere, and in one fluid movement, gets off the bed and runs his right hand through the Dragoness, grabbing her heart and not letting go, then he plays the recording~ 'I Banish thee Hon'alla, return to thy plane of flame, forgetting all but thy name' ~the voice keeps repeating, and with each repeat, Hon'alla looks more and more intangible, then with a final, blood curdling shriek, she vanishes, her presence completely gone from here~ "Rest now Hon'alla, your heart is burdened...no...more..." *walks off to his room, his memories returned, but he does not feel any happier for it*

Grimsy arrives at the fight scene he peeks from behind the corner and saw Maren chanting a spell here's my chance! he though as he quickly jumped from behind the wall and unleashed his ice bolt spell

I smile at Philly and pat him on the back. Suddenly, my ears twitched as the atmosphere suddenly changed. The aura surrounding my room lightened. "What the...?" I said looking around. I quickly stood up and opened my door. "Lets go for a walk..." I insisted.

Walking out of the infirmary, Opha runs into Riku "And what did you want to meet me about Demon Warrior?"

Camo saw that grimsy was using an spell at kindran he quickly deactivated his ACTIVECAMO and started shooting At kindran
''He can't deflect two attacks can he.I'll probably die soon but I'll at least take him with me'' he toughed as he felt his powers fading.

I arrive at my room, open the door, and slam it when I enter. "Opha...about how badly did I screw things up with Phoenix?" I said, tapping my ear-com....

Grimsy saw Camo appear out of nowhere, reacting to the threat he shot a ice bolt that was much weaker due to the full power ice bolt he shot earlier

Answering his Ear Com Opha replies "not much my boy"

"Seriously, even after what I did in the cafeteria?"

Riku stops as he sees Opha "yeah, what the hell is up with Chrono? If he keeps this up I may have to take him out myself" He said, growling slightly "And I notice that Phoenix and Chrono have some sort of relationship...were you aware?"

as he saw an icebolt hurling right at him, he knew he wouldn't have the power to diflect it, he looked on grimsy's mask and said:
''Please, fight him with all you got and defeat him.''
He got hit by the weak ice bolt but since Camo had no power left his whole body froze and his body shattered to shards of ice and blood.

I walked past Chrono's room and quickly sped up my body began to shake. Why am I quivering... Nothing happened in the Cafe... He didn't hurt me. I continued to walk, my hands shaking.

"When you banish a familar, like she was, she only remembers her name, she has no idea who I am, who you are, or any of us....prevents from having previous pets coming back to take their 'revenge' on their masters"

*as if to interrupt the romance sequence that has been going on for like 19 pages, a drop pod crashes through the room of Nix and Chrono*

*as soon as the big draconic foot connected with the drop pod, the sides slowly open up, making an onimous "ssshhhhhh" as it slowly opened to reveal it's cargo*

*gets on comm, and tries to reach Khairne* "Sir, did you authorize a drop-pod to land in my room?"

"Because one just crashed into my room, and something, or someone, is in it..."

*a metallic armored hand reaches up to the brim of the Drop Pod, raising himself foward the unknown figure towers over the two romantics*
"BEG FOR MERCY!!!!!!" he bellows while reaching for his gun (not horus just one of his lackeys, and no insta kills it needs to be an epic battle , of course after Grimsy and Kindran murder each other, cause the jackdaw got owned)

I shriek as I stand up from the floor. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!"

I quickly run in front of Chrono. "No, I want answers first."

*the warrior stops for a moment*
"You want answers, then you'll be pained to know them, I am of the Sun Warriors Traitor Marine Legion, and Horus has decreed that you all suffer for your insolence!" *placing an armored hand on the diamond blade, it looks like a twig in his massive hands*

I look at him, my eyes beginning to flicker. "Why suffer?! We have done nothing WRONG!" I shout, my anger taking over.

*hand on ear-piece* "Khairne, I know you really don't care, but right now, we're under attack, know about the Sun Warriors?"

"Chrono, I don't think you've realised this, but one, I don't like you at all, and 2, Horus is my older brother, so he's stayin, TA TA!"
*the sun warrior just glares at Nix*
"Such fire for such a little one, and what you have done wrong, you lived......"

My teeth clench as my eyes stay focused on the warrior. "What do you mean?" I demanded. My eyes began to fade to purple.

Philly walks out of Nix's room and down the hallway. On his way he passed a strange armored armidillo he had never seen before. He walks past Chrono's room, but somehow doesn't even notice what was going on inside. "Maybe everybody went back to the arena." he says walking in the arena and looking over the railing.

My eyes suddenly faded back to normal. "What should I be dead..."

seeing philly walk by him, Bansat ran to catch up with him. by the time he caught up he was out of breath "man this armors heavy, hey you...., your that rook arent ya? ive.... heard alot about you" he said to philly, still trying to catch his breath

"You CRAZY!" I shouted. I ran towards the warrior, trying to run past it.

Laughing and rubbing the back of his neck Philly says "Yea, well that's what they call me. I hope you've been hearing good things about me."

Bansat laughed "well its no worse than what they've said about me, ya see, in all the time ive been here, ive only won once" he said, still laughing

I pushed past the warrior. I'll be back for you soon Chrono I slowly walked down the hall, as if the warrior hadn't attacked.

"Well at least you have won one. Mine ended in a tie...I think" Philly said looking back at the arena, remembering the fight between him and Riku.

I catch up to Philly. "Hey kiddo."

Bansat stopped laughing and thought hard "yes i think i remember that match, he's the scary lookin' feller aint he?"
Bansat looked over at phoenix, and recognised her immediately "hey you fought opha didnt ya?"

I stop and smile. "Yea... I lost, but we can't always win. haha"

Smiling, Philly says towards Nix "How you doin." Looking back at Bansat he said "There's alot of scary looking people here."

I smile. "I'm having a slight issue.... how are you?" i asked looking at him.

nodding at both of them he said "i couldnt agree more, but next chance i got, im gonna redeem myself, you wait an see" then he stopped, and just listened

"I'll be in the stand rootin' for ya" I said looking at him happily.

"Yea same here" Philly said to Bansat. Looking at Nix he says "What kind of problem?"

"Some freakin' pod crashed, when I was talking to Chrono, and now it's saying we all must 'suffer'." I said, my focus on something else.

bansat seemed confused "miss did you say a pod is telling you that you must suffer?"

"No... I meant a warrior who was IN the pod." I said looking at Bansat.

bansat became worried "was he big? mentioned some guy named Horus?"

"uh, yea?" I looked at him, confused. "How did you know that?"

"Wait wait wait......so your saying Chrono is back to normal?" he said, that being the only thing he got out of it.

I looked him, "yes, but I'm not too positive about it. She escaped once, I don't know what will happen if she does again." I looked to the ground.

Bansat went completely pale and quickly replied to her question "oh ummm, it was,, uh just...a lucky guess, umm now if you'll excuse me" and with that he turned to hurry away but stumbled and fell heavily to the ground

I looked at him quickly, confused. "How... do ... you... know... him" I demanded.

Bansat stood up and looked around nervously, "you mean you haven't heard of them?" he asked shakily

"Not until that monster of a thing came to think place." I said crossing my arms

*after a few gunshots, shouts of rage, and some splattering noises coming from Chrono's room, Opha comes out bloodied and with the possessed soldier's head*
"No regret, No remorse, no fear!"

I turn around quickly and see Opha. "Oh, my..." I look away quickly.

Bansat heard the gunshots "did you hear that!? we are soo dead" and, not noticing opha, he rolled into a thick armored ball, and didnt move

"It's just Opha," I said, still turned away.

"And who is this newbie?"

"Hearing gunshots Philly drops to the ground and covers his head. We're under attack!"

I giggle. "No, its just Opha." I pointed in his direction.

Bansat unrolled himself angrily "hey! im no newbie, oh! your opha!" he said astonished when turned around

"Yea, SURE!" I said, sarcastically.

"Yes I am the GREAT AND TERRIBLE OPHA, FEAR ME OR I SHALL DEVOUR YOUR SOUL!!!"
Opha, wanting to mess with the newb, pretended to be an evil warlord who could eat souls, and pancakes.

Bansat looked around him "i may be new to the arena combat itself, but ive been working here longer than most of you here, im just usually behind the scenes" he said, trying to sound important

*glares in the newbies eyes*

Poking his head up Philly peeked over towards Opha, then jumped up slightly embarrassed. "Oh, so it is."

I stand listening to the conversation. I begin walking to the Arena to sit outside.

*smacks the newbie over the head with the marine's head*
"well one, I made those gunshots, and who do you think just killed a soldier of Horus, that's right me!"

Bansat stopped laughing, "so they're really here...aren't they" he asked solemnly

"Hey Opha, I think your being a little arrogant aren't you?" Philly said, looking past him and watching Nix walk off.

I look at the top. "there should be a nice breeze up there. Maybe I can see over the edge." I said to myself quickly dashing up to the top.

Maren, just noticing his prey had exploded, growled and finished his spell aiming at grimsy. "May the fire of hell torture your mind for eternity!" with that he sent a wave of energy meant to burn the minds of anyone it hit until they were dead. Sadly this meant he was limited to punches and his shuriken gun now.

Finnally leaving his room, and realizing how out-classed he was by a mere soldier, Chrono jams his sword into a wall, *taps earpiece* "Opha...I'm going away for awhile, if Khairne has an issue with that, nuts to him" *takes sword out, ejects armor*Phoenix, I'm going to be gone for awhile, if you decide to hook up with someone else during that time, I understand *sheathes sword, and leaves a note on his armor saying ' %$( you Khairne ' and looks at the arena before taking the next leaving shuttle*

*A hidden trooper follows Chrono onto the shuttle*
"Opha, i'm in posistion, I've found my mark, orders?"
"Orders are to survey the target, nothing more, more intel later, and I'll make sure Nix can get on the next shuttle, radio me in with more intel over.."

Grimsy saw the energy wave heading towards him so he jumped back behind the wall Hope it doesn't go through a wall... he thought while planning his next move

A saddened look strikes my face from Chrono's message. "Why are you leaving?" I whispered to myself as night began to fall. I looked up at the starry night.

Suddeny, the wind sings as a knife is thrown towards Nix, however it hits a nearby tree, there appears to be a note on the hilt of the knife, it reads.
"Nix, I'm sorry I had to leave you, but with those demonic assholes, I had no choice, I need to get stronger, here, I left you a ticket to my destination, go to Shuttle Terminal 3 and tell them to find a flight to the Grey Knight Lexicanum, You'll find me there, my sweet
Chrono"
"Ok note planted, now all we do is wait" Opha said over the radio he carried

I quickly move from the knife that zoomed past my face. "What the.... A note?" I pluck the note from the knife and read it. "Why would he just leave...." I quickly jumped from the top stand to the aisle. I begin to walk to the doorway, still holding the note.

Philly stands up and looks down a long hallway. "Hmmm, I think ill take a walk past Shuttle Terminal 3 today" he says walking in that direction.

A hidden soldier knocks out Philly and drags him away

I continue walking down a dark hall, the sound of dragging echoing down the halls. "What the hell?" I see someone that looks like Philly. I quickly run after the body.

Seeing that it was indeed Philly, I run faster to try and retrieve his unconscious body.

I grind my teeth as I lift my large sword and toss the tablet to the side. I slowly begin to walk down the hall.

*As Nix is engulfed in rage, one of the marines, the 'smartest' one charges her with a very very small but very sharp dagger, looks more like a hand held tooth.*

As soon as Bansat heard these words he jumped out of his ball form and brandished his warhammer "oh no you don't this armor took me 5 years to build and perfect, and I ain't gonna let you soil yerself on it, now git outta here afore I crack more than yer skull ya loon!" he shouted at the crazy man

fortunately the ice spike was weak enough that the wave disintegrated it before it reached Maren. He saw Grimsy duck behind a wall that would protect him from the energy wave but maybe not this. Maren jumped up and started to rain shutlrikens at him while he charged one last punch. oh god pleas let this end it! he thought to himself. As his hands glowed purple one last time

~a few sparse rumors of a Grey Knight joining as a fighter start to spread around the market square~

Seeing that Maren jumped at him Grimsy created a wall of ice to protect himself from the shurikens but he failed to notice Maren charging his punch.

I continue walking down the hall. My armor lays upon the floor behind me as I hold my sword tightly. I don't understand why I'm here... I thought, as looked behind me then ahead of myself.

Philly wakes up in a prison cell. "Where the heck am I at?" He stands up and walks over to the cell door, gripping the bars. "Well this isn't good at all."

I heard a voice and the sound of metal tapping lightly. "Whose there?!" I loudly asked. I whipped around holding my sword sturdily

Philly looks at his wrist watch wondering how long he had been out. He smacks the top of his wrist watch (conviently designed by Gabature Science) and his armor appears on his body, and his weapons at his side. Grabbing the longer of his two swords, he slashes at the bars slicing them in to pieces. He rushes out of the cell and looks around.

My ears twitch at the sound of metal striking the ground. I quickly turn to the direction and move forward.

Philly sprints down the halls, blade at the ready, looking for the soldiers that have invaded the Arena. "I really don't like it when someone knocks me out from behind, especially when they have no right even being here!"

I continue forward, hearing footsteps echo through the halls.

Maren lands behind grimsy and grabs him by the throat, " alright either you give up or this punch goes through your head Mage!" he said now transfering the energy of both fists into one making it glow almost white.

Philly turns a corner and nearly runs into Nix. He skids to a stop then says "Hey you."

"oh... thank gods it's you!" I said lowering my sword. "I thought you were one of those Knights."

"No I'm definately not one of them. I just broke out of the prison hall back there so they will probably be looking for me. I didn't even do anything either. All I was doing was taking a walk past one of the shuttle terminals." He says looking around for any guards.

"Really? I was given a note to head there... and I'm not really sure why?" I said looking at him curiously.

"A note? Do you still have it?" Philly asked intrigued.

"Yea" I pulled it from my shirt and showed him. "Its from Chrono. But it doesn't give me any information."

"My bet is it's not from Chrono then. I'm sure he would leave as much information as he could."

"I'm not really sure... before he left he told me that if I wanted to move on, he would understand because he was leaving for a while." I said looking at the ground

"He really said that.....something must be up with him" Philly says looking at her. "I'n sure he'll be back soon. Maybe Opha knows where he went."

"If he wants to leave, I'm not going to make him stay." I said trying to hide the emotion in my tone.

*Taking off the power pack from his back, Opha's true appearance shows, a Grey Knight Terminator, one of the deadliest soldiers of the Ordo Malleus, and enemy to Daemonic and Chaotic threats.*

I look at Philly then the note. "So why were you heading to the Terminals?"

Philly hugs her tight, trying to cheer her up. "Hey come on now, everything is going to be ok. I'm sure he wouldn't have left unless he really needed to. And the only reason I was headed there was because I suddenly felt some strong urge to go there."

"Yea I suppose your right. Oh, hmmm." I hugged him back gently, lightly rubbing his back.

"Lets go find Opha and find out why Chrono left" he said as his armor dissipated back into the wrist watch.

I looked at him and nodded. "I have a feeling he won't be much of help, but it's worth a try."

Impaling a Chaos Marine on his Nemesis Force Spear the Marine says
"More of us are coming, Soon you will all meet your death!"
"Then more of you will die, FOR ALL SINNERS FEAR THE EMPERORS WRATH!"
and with that he threw the marine near the hall where Nix and Philly are, and shooting a bolt from his Psycannon after the mrine, incenerating him.

I jumped at the sudden drop of a body. "Opha? What... are you doing?" I asked slightly worried.

Walking down the hall to the corpse making sure it's dead, Gabag says
"Opha is no More, I am Maximillion Pensari, but those who know my identity, know me as Gabag the Watcher, famed Daemonhunter, and I was exterminating this Chaotic essence"

"uh... right? Can you tell me where Chrono is?" I looked at the new form, slightly dazed.

"He went to the Grey Knight Lexicanum, to train to further figure out how to eliminae these Chaos Marines, and I cant do it alone, even with my skills, so I commissioned him secretly to train."

"So he wanted to leave?" I asked looking at him, sadden making its way into my eyes.

As his eyes begin to glow with a fiercer and brighter blue "yes he wanted to go, to safeguard you from this Chaotic threat and any future ones."

"Oh, well I wish him luck. Tell him that for me..." I said looking at him, my eyes serious.

Reversing his grip on his Nemesis Force Spear, he offers it to Nix "This weapon is extremely powerful against any chaos, use it carefully, psychic powers amplify it."

Bansat glared at the crazy blood soaked man and gave him a good thwack in the head with his hammer, not enough to kill him, but to knock him out for a few hours at least "you were kinda startin ta smell bad, when ya wake up take a shower will ya?" and with that he began looking for everyone else "i dont wanna be alone when one of them sun type fellers show up"

Unsheathing his Nemesis Force Sword, Gabag walks down a hallway, and following after him are gun flashes, blood spatters, crunching bone, screams of pain, and sword meeting metal.

"Well it sounds like the halls are filled with these guys" Philly says turning a dial on his watch and smacking it again, causing his sword to appear in his hand again.

Walking back down the hall, Gabag grabs Philly by the arm saying "I need you to distract them while I lie in wait"

*a shuttle arrives at the Market Square, and a few people leave the stands and head towards the station*

Bansat freezes in his tracks as he hears horrifying noises down the hall, screams, gunshots and bone crunching. he went pale "oh man this is like one of them horror movies, the armadillo always dies first!" he squealed and hid in his shell again

Riku let out a savage roar as half of a low ranking sun warrior fell at his feet, the rest a few foot away. Looking up, he spied another and ran towards it, leaping out of the way of it's thrust. He stabbed his sword right through the beast, channelling his fire through the sword, Riku cooked it alive in it's armour. Pulling his sword free, the Demon let out another savage screech and pulled the warrior's head off, Drinking the blood that poured from it's neck.

Letting go of Philly and Running after that roar, he trips over a boulder just randomly sitting there, grabbing it, he lugs it around and yells at Riku
"Riku, are you demon of Chaos, or do I let you live this time?"

As he lifts off the ground Bansat gives a shriek of terror and uncurls from his ball form just in time to see riku drinking the blood of a sun warrior "oh man oh man, hey why am i flying?"

Seeing the boulder turn into an armidillo, all Gabag says is "Whaa?"
"I AM GABAG THE WATCHER FAMED DEMON HUNTER, AND NOW THE ROCKS THEMSELVES CAN GAIN LIFE?"

"I can definately do a distraction yea definately, definately a good idea." Philly says running straight past a couple of Sun Warriors, causing them to chase after him.

dropping the fanboy he says "Look I will, but now is not the time, but what the hell" Quickly signs his name down then sprints to the Market Square to greet his new initiate.

*the doors open, and the shuttle inside is filled with terrified individuals, who slowly walk out holding themselves, followed by a white-cloaked individual with a sword on his back and the seal of the grey knights embroided on his right shoulder*

Standing outside the assault ramp, Gabag says "Greetings Brother Chrono, I assume you've been briefed?"

Confused I decide to stay where I was. I sit down on the cold floor and begin to think. The spear twirling in my grasp.

Bansat saw nix sitting on the floor and rushed over holding his paper "look look i got gabag's autograph THE gabag, hey why're ya jus' sittin' there like a lump onna log? this place is crawlin with enemy type figures now." he asked, puzzled

I opened my eyes, the irises and pupil gone, as my eyes glow a light blue. "The enemy will fall, There is no need to panic. Fighting them will only bring more. Horus will rule once again." my voice echoed. My eyes slowly fade back to their original crystal color as I collapse.

Bansat grabbed her as she collapsed "hey little miss, thats not very optimistic of ya, hey, hey! wakey wakey, uh oh" he said shaking her gently

My mind begins to race as I lightly shake in Bansat's arms.

"Greetings Sir, I trust by the smell of this place the clensing is not going so well?" I said as I step down.

"That's correct, our sworn foe Horus, has led his Legion into the Arena, only we know who's tainted and who's pure, suit up, we need you in that power armor,"

"But sir, can I not me 'her' before I go into battle?" I said, taking off my hood and revealing my 'new' face

"NO, your mind must be focused purely on the battle for this coming time, for now, we shal bide our time, and play by the arena rules, and as I ordered, suit up!"

"Yes sir..." I said with a tone of dissapointment, and took a deep breath as the new 'backpack' I installed slid on my Grey Knight armor.

I slowly open my eyes, the blue glow still present. "Horus will not fail." I stood up and grabbed the spear that Gabag had handed me earlier. I walk towards Gabag and Chrono. The spear glowing yellow.

"I sense a Daemonic Tain"
Looking over at Nix, and how she is glowing yellow without pupils, all he thinks is "Ahhh crap, Chrono isnt gonna try anything on her, so I guess i'll have to intervene telepathically...."

My blue eyes gazed forward. The spear continued to glow. "Horus will rule this world, and you, all, shall fall!" my voice echoed a demonic voice.

"No need sir.." I said as I walk over and draw my sword "Daemon, any attempt you use with that spear will be cut short by my own blade"

"INITIATE STAND BACK!" Gab ordered, Placing a palm on Nix's face, he began to chant the excorcism "BY THE HOLY RITE GIVEN TO ME BY THE EMPEROR, I BANISH YOU DAEMON OF THE WARP, I BANISH YOU TO YOUR REALM AND A THOUSAND YEARS SUFFERING!"
As he chanted that, his hand began to glow a bright blue and telepathic screams filled the air.

My eyes quickly faded to their original color as Gabag chanted. And now one shall die! a voice echoed as I began to fall weak.

Bansat had recoiled in horror as all this took place, "I I.... what....I mean....What happens now?" he asked shakily

Taking his spear, he quikcly chanted a few words, and brought the Daemon into Reality, stabbing it in the mouth, the Negative Psycic energy of his Spear searing it's flesh, and making it's hold on Nix crumble, and the hex it cat on her disappears, as the monster fades away into the hell in which it was birthed.

I collapse to the ground as the demon dissipates. My breaths short and gasping.

"N...Nix!" was all I could say as my armor nearly shed off and went to Nix's side.

My eyes flickered open then closed, "Chrono?" the word escaped my lips roughly. The color began to come back to my eyes, as my breaths became less short. "Wha... what happened?"

"Daemon spirit, if 'Opha' didn't stop me, my Grey Knight side might have killed you" *tears form inside helmet*
-
My eyes widen. "Killed me? Again?" I looked at him worriedly. I look at 'Opha' and nod in thanks.

"Well, I would have intervened, but he was just trying to disarm you, but it could elivate to killing if it became difficult.."

"For the last time Initiate, I'm not Opha, i'M Gabag the Watcher, and I shall be addressed as such"
Secretly he was glad they were back together, but he would never show it, mind or voice, so he shielded that and maintained a level of professionalism.

"It would have became difficult... wouldn't it have?" I looked at him sternly. I sat up but kept a solid gaze on him.

Bansat sighed "nobody ever tells me whats going on" he stood up and grabbed his hammer "hey anyone see the other new guy? philly i think his name was?" he asked everyone around him

I looked at Bansat. "I'm not sure. I don't remember anything at the moment." I looked back at Chrono.

"Depends on how you would react to me fighting you, it could have been very easy, or somewhat difficult if you tried to 'hit and run'" I stated, attempting to get her back on her feet..

Bansat sighed "nobody ever tells me whats going on" he stood up and grabbed his hammer "hey anyone see the other new guy? philly i think his name was?" he asked everyone around him
"Well I just exorcised a Daemon, and my shoulder mounted camera got a picture of it, and it's an autographed picture so you can keep it"
Taking out the picture, it shows Gabag glowing blue and stabbing the Daemon out of reality.

Bansat takes the picture with glee "ohhh boy! im gonna kill a bunch of them sun warriors an make proud mr gabag you wait and see" and with that he started jumping up and down, shaking the walls and floors inadvertantly in the process

"You're ridiculous." I muttered looking at Gabag. I focused back on Chrono. "Easy huh? And if I did fight back... I would be lying here dead." I exclaimed as my voice quivered.

"Maybe...or just having a broken leg...or two"

Placing an armored hand on the overly happy engineer he said "Calm down Bouldery one, there's more to kill, and I'd rather not fight Horus yet."
Throwing his spear into a nearby sun warrior, he places his armored boot on the warrior's face and presses down, killing the warrior and getting his spear out of his heart.

I stood up, my body tensed. "Why? Because you feel the need to be all high and mighty?" my anger and fear getting the best of my tone as I looked at him.

"Uh...no, because I didn't want you to kill me while I'm trying to get the daemon out of you..." *raises up arms in defense*

"And what makes you think that I would have the strength or will to do so?!" my voice rose as the fear poured out of my body.

"....Forget it, trying to explain it would only put more fear in you" I said, looking away

Bansat looked nix and leaned to gabag "id say im more afraid of her than horus?" he whispered a look of nervousness on his face

"Listen, only reason I dont want to fight Horus is cause if I do that now, he'll kill us all, and I dont think your ready to die, cut the Initiate some slack, after all he has been training with anti Daemon specialists, it's instinct to kill possessed"
"And you were taken over by a Daemon, Horror of Tzeentch, relatively powerful one, controls the possessed like a puppet while their mind watches on"

I set my hand on Chrono's shoulder. "Don't look away from me... please..." tears formed in my eyes as one trickled down my cheek. I disregard what Gabag had explained. "Why can't you tell me..." I asked. My voice calming as I take away my hand.

I look back at Phoenix, the helmet off. "You were giving off alot of fear, I was afraid that telling you more might cause you to fear me, or worse, hate..."

Standing next to the Armadillo, he takes a quick pictue of the two of them, standing side by side and hands it to the fan boy

I look at Chrono. "What reason would I have to hate you?" I looked at him, seriousness struck my tone.

"gahhh my shrine to gabag will be awesome--errr i mean thank you...for the photo, im just gonna go kill that sun warrior over there" and he runs over and starts beating the sun warrior senseless with his hammer

"Leaving you without telling you why, then having to explain why I acted like I didn't care.."

"Listen you lovers, I hate to interupt, but that very large angry mob of Sun Warriors doesn't look too friendly,"
Points to the large group of Chaos Marines now charging at them

"Both of....I will only do what I can to make sure that the Daemon is no longer plaguing you, the killing is the last thing we would resort to, asking for help being the second..."* activates the full armor, and draws sword *

I glare at Gabag. "STEP OFF!" I growled my eyes flickering to purple then back to original state. I look at Chrono as he falls to control of the Grey Knight. "I will not help you..." I turned and started walking away. Sadness and anger flooded my body.

Nix, this is what I trained for, if you leave, then I have no reason to resist my Grey Knight

Bansat looks at the oncoming horde and suddenly has a burst of bravery, he focuses deeply and punches the ground, causing a large rock spike to impale the nearest enemy, "well whaddaya know? I've still got it" he says proudly

Riku Simply looked at Gabag, blood dripping from his muzzle "No, I was spawned from Dante's seventh circle of hell" Standing up, he drew his sword once more and released a torrent of flame towards the Chaos Marines. He took no notice of the scene playing out near him, it wasn't putting him in danger so he ignored it

Placing a hand on Nix's shoulder he says "unfortunately he is right, and that angry mob is getting closer now, what is this, ROCKET LAUNCHERS?" putting extra emphasis on the last words.
Using his psyker powers, he channels it into his feet, allowing him to charge into the marines, impaling one and all in all, just kicking Chaos ass.

I looked at the ground as I stopped, Then do what you must. Find me when you're finished. I thought as I continued walking. I quickly turn and draw my sword on Gabag.

Bansat sees nix draw her sword on gabag "hey miss you cant do that, hes my hero" he said, while impaling three more marines

as if by magic, a magic marker draws a sword in black on gabag's shoulder, completing his armor
"THANKS FOR DRAWING YOUR SWORD ON ME! I NEEDED IT!"

I sheath my sword and look at Chrono. I turn and dash back to the arena. The night had completely fallen. Stars gleamed in the sky.

Philly falls through the ceiling flat on his face. "I definately distracted them, yea definately!" he says standing up and brushing himself off.

Darting across the ground, he engaged the marines. Jumping and performing a spin- slash, he decapitated two marines who were unfortunate enough to be in the kill zone. Crouching he took a step forward and slashed upward, cutting another marine in twain. Jumping back before he was overwhelmed, he noticed Phoenix draw a sword on Gabag. Then flee. Deciding it was of little consequence to him, he returned focus to the marines

Before reaching the arena, I trip over Philly. "Damn it! What the hell!" I shout, quickly noticing its Philly, "Oh god, I'm sorry." I said, trying to collect my nerves.

"Oh its alright, its not the first time somebody has tripped over me" he says laughing.

Bansat saw the drawing "well i guess its good" he mumbled, he felt a sharp pain as one of the marines poked him "ow son of a gun, that does it, lets see how many of you i can turn inta shishkebab" he said punching the ground repeatedly in anger, causing spikes to burst randomly out of the walls and floor impaling a great deal of sun warriors

I smile lightly, my eyes showing pain. "I still feel bad." I get up and help him.

Making the last warrior's head explodes, he chases after Nix, after tripping on something, just in front of Philly, so it's like he tripped on him
"Dangit Tripped on the entrails of a dead Chaos!"

I turn and see Gabag. "What?" I ask looking at the ground.

"Why? Why do I need this?" I ask looking at him, not finding humor in the gesture. "I'm sorry but I am not in the mood." I turned and looked at Philly, half smile to him and walk towards the Arena.

"Geez i do wish the entire arena would come and trip over me" he says a little annoyed. He grabs the weapon and starts walking to the arena but trips over his own tail. "That one hurt a bit."

"Well im usually not this clumsy but im kinda distracted by your awesomeness" he says, hiding what he really felt.

Giving Philly a thumbs up, he writes on the card "SCORE! YOU JUST MADE A NEW FRIEND!"

Philly smiles back at her. Glancing over at Gabag, he tries not to think about the cue cards. Instead he plays the love scene from Disneys Robin Hood in his head.

I smile and giggle at the image in Philly's mind. "Uh, I recommend not thinking when around me... My mind tends to wander." I suggest smiling.

Philly blushes from embarassment "So you just saw what i was thinking?"

Pokes Nix's head then disappears
"Don't let her smell your fear!" he thought to himself

I look at Philly, "Yea, I can't help it. Sometimes I wish I could turn it off... but I simply can't." I say smiling. "I was going to go sit in the arena. Care to join?"

"I would love to join you, that is as long as we dont run into any Sun Warriors along the way." he said realizing he was holding a rather large chainsaw.

"we shouldn't. They tend to not be outside of the dark halls." I said smiling and beginning to walk to the arena.

Struggling for air Grimsy replied "In the arena there is no such thing as giving up!" then he reached for his dagger and stabbed Maren's hand hoping that he would drop him down

"Phoenix...any reason Gabag the Wather has cue cards?" I said, finally returning from the fight...

Hissing in pain Maren gave grimsy a ferocious look and punched him through the lung instead as he dropped him. "You fool you have chosen a slow death now. Feel it as your body struggles for air with only one lung." with that he drew his shuriken gun and got ready to fire.

Maren walked up to the downed Mage, "this is your last chance for mercy Mage. I suggest you take it or die." he said as the pain from the dagger started to grow. He aimed his shuriken gun carefully and made sure he was out of range of another mishap.

This is it....end of the road..... He though as he clumsily stood up breathing heavily in pain " Do....what you......gotta do...giving up is...dishonourable..." he then dropped his weapons and waited for the Coup de grâce

I promise I'll make this quick he thought as he took careful aim and died a barrage of shurikens into Grimsys skull ensuring a quick death. He walked out of the arena and went to the infirmary. There was something he had to ask him.

Waking up in the infarmary later that day "I can breathe again...thank god" he then placed his hand on his head Where's my mask....it must have shattered into pieces...

I look at Philly, my gaze signaling for him to come if he pleased. Then I turn and go to the arena. Chrono, Meet me in the room later tonight. I must talk to you.

Philly starts walking towards Nix when out of nowhere his watch starts beeping. He looks down at it then looks back at Nix shrugging his shoulders. He takes off down a hall without another word towards the infirmary.

if this matter were truly urgent, you wouldn't wait for the match to end before you told me, but I can wait, showing up in the arena now might get Khairn suspicious...

I walk towards him. "I can talk now, then." I looked at him, my eyes darkening to a deep sapphire blue.

"Huh?....but thhpthht..." I tried to say something, but the surprise just screwed up my response So, what were you trying to talk to me about?

I stood close to him and looked at him. "Why did that Dragoness try to kill me..."

*sighs* "Before I met you, she was a familar my subconsious made to keep me company while I waited for my next match, eventually we fell in love...but about a year into the relationship, apparently Khairn had Opha lock her up in a chamber that prevents any means of escape, so someone outside the vault let her out, and she found her way back to me, but when she realized that I had fallen for you, she assumed that you were 'inadequate' for my standards, and tried to, well....eliminate you from my mind...follow?" *takes a deep breath*

I look at him. "why is it so hard to talk to me? or tell me something?"

"Because most people are afraid of me, and I was worried you would become one of those people because of some past issues...most of the girls I met before you were turned off when they realized I controlled a very tempermental fire..."

Meanwhile Philly was in Gabags room, searching around for whatever he could find. "Im willing to bet there is something more to the arrival of these Sun Warriors that Gabag isnt telling us."

"Oh, well you'll have your chance." I said looking around. "Why were you willing to kill me when I was possessed?"

"False memories and an angry mind can cause that kind of thing to happen, but when Gabag knocked me out, the fake memories vanished..."

Walking in his room behind Philly, Gabag says "ahem..."

A random Ninja overhears the conversation of the two lovers and he texts all his friends about it.
"Jimmy Carter the Ninja you are gonna be famous!"

*smiles* "Now that color I definatly like to see in those eyes" *tackles in an attempt to increase embarrassment*

"Ummm well i was just, looking for a...souviner from the great Gabag!" Philly said quickly.

My eyes turned more blue and pink, continuing to swirl. "Stop that!" I say trying not to laugh.

"Listen kid, I'm not as stupid as I let on, If you ever go through my belongings again, your head will be on a pike before night fall, understand? If you tell anyone I threatened you, the same fate will come sooner." Gabag threatened, after all, some of his belongings are potentially dangerous in the wrong hands.

My eyes widen. "I'm pretty sure you would..." I stand back up and brush myself off, my eyes fade to the crystal blue and pink, swirling into the pupil.

Ive been stuck in this hallway for hours, supplies are running low and i've had to dip into my emergency chip stash. The sun warriors are relentless, 15 minutes ago, one of them made off with my oreo cookies, needless to say the situation is looking very grim, ive been constructing a turret out of the remains of some of the sun warriors weapons and armor, it should bs active soon...after chips though"

I get up and decide to go to the Cafe, which is closest to me. I wonder what Philly is doing... and why he was in Gabag's room.

After finishing 'training', I head up to the cafe'. The ad I saw on the way made me chuckle If only you could assassinate enemies looking like that.

I stand there waiting for the doctor to help. I begin to slowly tap my paw then pick up the tempo.

The Doctor whistles, and two other doctors grab Nix's arms and drag her over to an operating bed, giving her the anesthetic, they begin to run tests.

What the hell? Alright, why am I unconscious. I thought as I lay on the table, my mind racing.

*after getting through half the area and not sighting a single Sun warrior, I head to the infirmary*

The doctors run a throurgh scan of Nix, and they detect a sizable amount of Daemon residue within her, hampering her, until anew Daemon enters.

Alright, this is annoying. I'm denied access outside of my own mind... I CAN'T even hear anything!!! I begin to move around on the table.

"Restrain her" the doctor mouthed, and a large brute of a man lad his two enormous hands on her body, keeping all movement to a minimum from her.

*turns around after not getting an answer, and a Sun warrior slams him into the door* God damned chaos soldier caught me off guard, I need help!

I continue to fight the brutish man. I can't MOVE! What's going on?!

My eyes open quickly as I throw the man off of my body. Chrono, are you alright? I thought quickly, not realizing that my mind is unblocked.

I open the door quickly and see the guard. I quickly use all of my force to kick it off of Chrono.

"T...*cough* Thanks" *draws sword, and with a hint of rage, rams it through the soldier and drives it up, cutting the soldier in two vertical halves* "This is way too much for me when I just woke up from a head wound..." *collapses against a wall, looking quite exhausted*

I kneel next to him and put my hands on his shoulders. "Are you alright?"

"I havn't had any sleep since I got here, and that mental probe that you rejected took most of my mental stamina, and I have nowhere to sleep...shall I continue?" *voice gets quieter and quieter as he gets more and more tired*

After nomming several pickles, Philly stands up and walks toward his room. "I sure could use a shower right now" he thinks.

"It's fine. You stay here. I'm going to go walk about for a little bit," I said laying him on the bed. "Get some sleep..." I walked out of the room and shut the door behind me.

Bansat was stuffed, apparently carrying around a turret made of the remains of your enemies is enough to make certain people just GIVE you their food. patting his tummy contentedly, he decided it would be best to go find his friends, and perhaps the arena contestants who had just recently got out of their (very long) match.

Faintly hearing Philly's voice, I smile and sent him a message, as I disguise my voice playfully. You will die in three hours If you do not come to the arena's entrance in 10 minutes. I giggles and skip to the arena entrance, but first stop at the Cafe to find something to munch on.

"Oh dear, I better get to the front of the arena then!" Philly says running to the arena.

I see Philly approaching the entrance and quickly cover myself with a black cloak, formed from black shadow flames. My eyes glow red, as my teeth grow larger. "Your life is on the line... I have a task for you"

Philly hesitantly says “Alright…I’ll do whatever you need me to…†He looks around to see if there were any witnesses. There was none.

"Go to your room and get the biggest weapon you own and meet me in the Arena... If you do not, I will spare your life and go after the one that means most to you." My voice said, my demon covering it.

A ninja breaks into Philly's room and leavea rocket launcher sitting there, there's a picture of Santa attached to it.

Immediately thinking of Nix, he runs to his room to get his sword, but instead finds a rocket launcher on his bed. "Well, I guess I'll use this then." Philly says running back to th arena prepared to defend his life and any others.

The demon was on the other side of the arena, her large teeth showing from under the dark hood, her eyes quickly turning purple as they began glowing from under the hood. "Prepare yourself for the fight of a lifetime" I said baring the large teeth.

*wakes up from a nice rest, the notices something very wrong*
Nix, why am I sensing something very wrong?

For some reason standing on the roof, Gabag leaps down with a psycic charge, eyes glowing blue,and spear hlowing red
"FOUL DAEMON, YOU SHALL FALL!"
he yells while angrily pointing at Nix.

Nix is not present as of now! The voice rang back, her demon taking over, but not permanently. She cannot answer you, she will be conscious soon enough. The voice reassured. I looked at Gabag. Calm yourself... Nix is FINE!

*Chrono almost leaps out of Nix's room, and bolts towards the aura he senses* So this is the thing that gets me excited whenever your eyes turn purple, my mane is bristling from the anticipation!

The hood shifted forward as the demon smirked. You care much for this fur, do you not? She toyed with his mind, hoping to fire him up.

She's one of the reasons why I'm still around.. *arrives in the arena, fully decked out in armor, and the sword drawn*

Dodging the rocket Philly punches Philly with BOTH fists, SO UNEXPECTED!

A wave of energy pulses from the demon, sending Chrono and Gabag into the stands, a force pinning them there. "I'm speaking to the wolf..." The voice ordered.

Gabag struggles, sending overly powerful mind blasts and psycic blasts towards the bonds, but of course, due to the nature of this duel, he can't break them. Otherwise he'd smash through them in a snap.

"What the......Nix? Is that you" he asks nearly dropping the rocket launcher before getting punched.

Gabag, you think its possible that Philly might get killed? *hits the stands, but armor nullifies any damage or discomfort*

The demon smirked, the hood disappearing. "It is..." I said my voice fading back as my eyes changed to crystal blue-green.

Philly flips backwards, dodging and smacking Nix in the face with his tail. "So you can run on the walls huh, well lets see about this!" He starts running away from her towards the wall, gaining speed with each stride. He quickly leaps at the wall and starts running straight up the wall until he got to the very top stand. I wake up and go for a walk to the arena. "I wander if it's nice out..." I thought to myself aloud.

I walk to the arena and see Chrono. "Hey Chrono!" I shout waving.

"Its the look in your eyes that causes my 'humane' side to be suppressed, allowing my former self to rise out and break the seals, the reason it hasn't happened before was because Hon'alla was what I would call a 'emergency supressor', she would immedeatly shut down the power that would break the seals, preventing me from losing my cool...but since she's gone, its going to be harder for me to constrain myself." *takes deep breath* "But know that even when I change back, you are still a priority that I will protect, demonic or not..."

I entered the Cafe and got an iced tea. "It suck this place has awful food..." I said aloud. "I suppose I better get ready." I walked out and went to my room. A few moments later I walked out with my armor donned. Gold wrist bands shown as my chest was covered in gold worked armor, my stomach still exposed. My ankles had gold cuffs as well (just look at the avatar for outfit.) . I grabbed a spear that I had created before arriving. A crystal spear head at the top, the gold rod etched with ancient markings. I walked down to the arena. I began moving swiftly but elegantly, practicing jabs and dodging. "I think I'm finally getting the hang out this..." I thought to myself, eying the staff.

Finally done with his depression trip, Chrono heads to the arena.

I create shadow demons to practice against. One charges as another shoots arrows. I quickly twirl the spear, sending the arrows back at one of the demons. The other grabs me as another attacks. I finally break free and send my spear through another one of them. Quickly, I put the spear in the ground and swing around it kicking the last demon. "Wooh, that was fun!" I say happily.

Gabag was standing in the foreground, watching the sparring match "Bravo, Miss Nix, if I do say so myself" he said walking towards her, trying to seem like he wasnt going to hurt her, well as best he could in enormous armor with 5 weapons.

I looked at Gabag. "I shouldn't be talking to you... Especially if one of us is to die in battle." I said leaning on my spear, and resting my head on my arms.

I know there's been bad blood between us, but I'd just wanted to let you know, every time I seem like a jerk, it's not me trying to have fun of it, it's because I care, if I focus strictly on the mission, it's because we are in tough times.... and one last thing, may the best Fighter win." Offering his hand, he waits to see if Nix will shake it or stab it.

The insides of his helmet now glowing blue, and his sword glowing blue as well "this.." Dashing forward, leaving a blue trail of what looks like himself behind him, he quickly slaps philly with the force of a punch.

Hon'alla barely even registers the possible pain the arrow is causing, and only attempts to spin-back kick Rowan, still keeping a grip on her whip. "I see that one has to resort to trickery to defeat me, very well..." ~ a blue glow appears on the center of Chrono's helmet, then it turns red~

Philly flys backwards into a tree. He picks himself up thinking "Geez, I gotta watch out for that." he pulls out his other sword, now duel weilding, and walks slowly towards Gabag.

The burn from the whip imprinted around my throat shows. I quickly disappear from the dragoness and return to the forest. "Damn, that freakin KILLS!" I growls my throat burning.

Sheathing his other sword, he takes out his pair of trusty power claws.

Chrono throws more fireballs into the forest, causing even more wild-fires to erupt while Hon'alla floats towards the forest, searching for Phoenix. She then turns more feral and starts trudging through the burning ground, unaffected by the pryos. All of this happens while Chrono waits for Phoenix to show up...

My emotions begin to claw at my mind. I quickly form a wall to shut them all out, all but anger and intelligence. "No more distractions. I must take him down." I appear in front of Chrono. "It's a shame that you have to bring out your dragoness to help you." I smirk.

Chrono doesn't bother to respond, he grabs Phoenix by the neck and slams her into the ground. "Your biggest mistake was to appear in front of me." he said, before stabbing through the whole left side of her chest...

I struggle to break free. The piercing pain shoots through my entire body. My eyes go red, as my claws begin to grow as I turn feral. "That was a big mistake" I growled as I tossed him off of me.

Chrono flips in the air and lands on his feet, still holding his sword, Hon'alla appearing next to him in a plume of flame shortly after.

I run forward thrashing at Chrono. My large claws leaving a large gape in his chest.

I wanted the fight to end before it got to this, but I guess its to late... Chrono thought as he grabbed Phoenix's right arm, held it behind her back, and slammed her into the dirt again as he started to change as well, but the armor hid most of it..

I roared and dislocated my arm. I quickly broke loose and slashed his helmet off. LOOK MY IN THE EYE WHEN I KILL YOU my voice echoed throughout the stadium.

I growled and flew backwards. I got up chuckling. "Oh come on Dragon. I know you can do better than that" I taunted.

Chrono pointed at the ground, indicating the large glyph Phoenix is standing on. "Took the liberty to draw this while you were in the forest fire, now activate: Demonic purification seal!" he yells, and suddenly the glyph activates, dispersing the demonic energy of anyone standing on the circle, which Chrono was just outside the edge of...

My small fragile body lay in the middle of the circle after my demon was paralyzed. I slowly raise myself up. "Is that all you have dragon?" I managed to say.

Chrono shook his head, and in the next instant, Hon'alla has the whip around Phoenix's neck again, but also a sword at her side...

I fell to my knees, the whip burning into my skin. I shut my eyes as a tear rolled down my cheek. I opened my eyes my eyes purple. I quickly stood back up and vanished from the whip. He may have taken my demon, but I still have my telekinesis I thought to myself. I quickly ran deep into the forest.

Chrono walks towards Hon'alla, seemingly unafffected by the seal, and hands her a vial, to which she nods and takes off towards the forest, her sword changing into a serrated dagger.

I continue to change my location. "That damn dragoness is going to find me if I continue to bleed like this." I said to myself. I quickly jumped to a tree and climbed up to the top. I applied pressure to the wound, hoping it would stop. "If they don't kill me, this surely will."

Hon'alla finds some blood and scoops it into the vial, heading back to Chrono as fast as she can...

I let out a light sigh as the dragoness' aura dissipates.

Philly leaps into the air raising one of his swords above his head, preparing for a downward slash at Gabag. "Dodge this!" he yelled.

I sat in the tree. My breathes became short as the blood continued to flow. "I need to... fix this... up before.... I die." I said gasping between each word. I dropped down and fell. "Damn it" I said getting up and running to the nearest river. "Ah, this should help." I quickly knelt beside it and flushed my wound out. I then tore the bottom of my skirt/cloth and wrapped it around my chest. "That should do it." I said breathing slowly.

Hon'alla brought the vial of blood back to Chrono, who opened it and poured it in his mouth, then he spit out three small spheres of the same blood and made one float in the air. "Blood curse #2: Sloth" then the blood sphere spontaneously combusted as the owner of the blood started to feel sluggish.

I got up quickly and stumbled. "What the? It must be the blood loss." I reassured. I held my head for a moment then decided to walk around and find a cave of some sort.

Another sphere floated up."Blood curse #3: Wrath" and same as before, it burst into flames. Now the owner's abilities go haywire, causing harm to those around them and to themselves.

I continued to wander around. My eyes flickered to purple again as a large wave of energy crashed over my mind. "AHGGG!" I shouted as I fell to my knees. "What the HELL!"

I was really hoping not having to use this accursed power, but I see no other alternative, please forgive me Chrono thought as he made the last sphere float up into the air. "Blood curse #7: Vanity" the last blood sphere combusts, and an exact copy of the Phoenix before the fight began, rose from the remains of the blood. Chrono then pointed into the forest and the copy nodded before taking off after 'her' target...

I stood up, stumbling side to side. "What the hell is going on?" I held my head with one hand and felt my way around. I opened my eyes as the last wave hit and the pain faded. "I feel better... I wonder what's going on!" I decided to take to the trees and scout out up there. I spotted a blue wolf. "What the? Is that... me?" I jumped down to get a closer look.

The copy notices Phoenix, and spawns a spear of black fire, and it forms into the same one Phoenix has. "My master sends his dearest apologies, and hopes you'll give up so the match can end quickly" it said in Phoenix's voice as it leaps towards her with the same speed from before and attempts to execute Phoenix.

"I do not accept his request. I'd rather just kill you... or have him kill me himself... unless he's to cowardly to do so." I quickly stepped out of the way. My spear appeared in my hands as I thrust it at her back. I cut down it, leaving a large gash from her shoulder to her waist.

For the first time, the copy shows emotion in 'her' face."Very well, I see he means that much" and soon left her in a burst of fire...
"She won't go down willi-" was all the copy said before Chrono banished her and Hon'alla. "Very well, if she wishes to fight me, then I shall oblige..." Chrono takes off into the forest with unusually fast feet and leeps onto burning branches on his way towards Phoenix.

I stand and wait for him to show up. What's your reason for not fighting me... face to face?

Because I thought you wanted me to fight seriously, or was it just a duel you wanted? Chrono draws closer, sword poised for a massive lunge.

My ears twitched. "You're not very good at the illusion of surprise you know..." I turned towards him and readied my spear. A serious fight yes, but I grow tired of fighting your cronies.

I had to slow you down, so Hon'alla got some of your blood and I used forbidden techniques, you are now much slower, and not only is your demon gone for the match, but any attempt at telekinesis will cause massive backlash, this is how I fight when I'm serious, not angry, just serious. Chrono created a shield of dark flame using the strength regained from banishing Hon'alla, and pushed the spear away as he stabbed at her mid-section in an attempt to split her horizontally.

I quickly jumped away. "Ah, so you paralyze your enemies. That's not fair now is it..." I taunt as I thrust forward and slice his shoulder. I look at my stomach and see a small gash. "Not bad, not bad."

its more of a fear when your opponent realizes that you are now superior to them in most aspects, especially if they have to fight an unharmed version of themselves, abilities and all. he 'replied' as he sidestepped the thrust, then leaped forward with a cross-slash.

I vanish and appear behind him. My mind lashing at itself. "AHHG!" I fall to one knee but soon rise back up. "I'm not giving up that easy" I smirked as the crystal lit up. A burst of blue energy struck Chrono and sent him backwards. "You may have taken my demon and telekinesis. but my magyk is something that is not concealable." I growled as I shot another wave at him, knocking him back further.

"I see, guess the possiblity of a duel is gone then, since magyk is forbidden in duels." Phoenix, I hope you arn't expecting me to hold back at all, because I really did try to keep from destroying the arena, but I guess one can't achieve something without causing other things to occour. Chrono 'said' as his armor blasted off in shards. Then new, more sinister armor appeared. "Friend, if you still exist, sorry, but if I must win, i must become 'him' again, I must become Tyrus of the Black flame once again!" Chrono bellowed as his power increased yet again, sending the people in the stands near him to run in terror.
"Now, Phoenix, I am no longer the one you love, now die!!" Tyrus yelled as he swung the blade again, the reach extending with black flame.

My eyes widened as I jumped back. "Now this is a battle." I taunted. I shut my eyes and tried to find my demon. I need to get far enough to search. I thought quickly dashing away. Come on... you have to be in there SOMEWHERE

"Ah, so you run in fear, well that just means we get to fight that much longer!" Tyrus then leaped onto onto one of the arena walls and trailed after Phoenix, calling out black fireballs that home in on Phoenix.

Damn it Sera! Wake the heck UP! Suddenly a large red beam rises from the forest. My eyes glow red. "YES!" the demonic voice taking over. "You want a fight. Then come and get me" She growled.

"Finally!" Tyrus exclaimed, rushing at the demon he soon recognized as Sera.

"Nice to see you again Tyrus" She sneered. "Care to be sealed back from which you came" Her fangs grew at her tongue danced around. "Or are you here to dance?" She smirked toothily.

"I wish we could dance, but this arena's stupid custom says once we enter, we fight until they proclaim a winner..." Tyrus replied, swinging at her from the left.

She steps aside. His attempt a fail. "Oh come now Tyrus... When were you ever up for following the rules?"

"True, but I doubt you want to hear everyone 'boo-ing' at us while we enjoy ourselves, humans are odd creatures, are they not?" Tyrus gets close, grabbing Sera's arms to attempt at blocking retaliation.

Sera stood still, smiling. "Aww, holding my hand?" She snickered. She quickly took her other paw and drug her nails across his chest. "Then lets give them what they want." She smiled.

"Fine, then after this stupid game is over, we dance?" Tyrus yanks her nails out and kicks her in the gut in an attempt to send her flying.

She slides back a few feet. "Ah, being humble are we?" she taunted. She quickly lunged at him and pinned him to the ground. Her jaws bit down on his throat but didn't do much damage but did enough to wound him. Sera jumped back and let the blood drip from her fangs.

"No, I just want to enjoy my moments with you while I can, and I figure you'd rather want to dance and eat mortals than get into a pointless fight with me, but then again, its been awhile since I tasted blood..." Tyrus said, being cheeky and licking the blood off of Sera's fangs before kicking her off and swinging with a 'blade' of black flame.

He quickly lunges his other sword towards Gabags chest, hoping to stab him all the way through.

Getting stabbed, the armor manages to stop it from going TOO far into him. Placing a hand on the blade, he grabs the hilt and starts to oull it out, while holding the other sword with his claw.

Realizing that Gabag has grabbed both of his swords, Philly runs up his armor and kicks him in the face, not letting go of his swords the whole time.

Getting a nasty kick to the face, Gabag stumbles back, letting the sword in his hand go, but the sword in his stomach he keeps, firing a mind blast at Philly, he pulls out his sword, searing hot, and throws it at him

Sera flew into a tree, the trunk breaking like a twig. "How does your own blood taste?" She asked. She lunged at him her claw entering his back, as she held him tightly.

"Too salty, but thats just my perspective.." Tyrus nicked Sera's neck and only took a lap and smiled, knocking away her claws and then knee-ing her in the jaw, leaping away to put some distance between them.

She gave a toothy grin. "You like? Pure. Isn't it?" Sera taunted. She gave a loud roar, sonic waves tossing Tyrus a few meters.

Tyrus recovers mid-air, and lands on his feet. "I'm pure demon, its just that idiot put a seal on me so most of my power is supressed, but somehow your eyes draw me out...and for that and the sweet blood, I thank you" Tyrus leaps back at her, tackling her to the ground and looking her in the face, his eyes have a somewhat supressing feel to them...

Sera smiled and sunk her teeth into his shoulder. "Tasty." She quickly kicked him off and stood on her hind legs.

Tyrus stuck his blade out from under himself, and caught a nearby building in the arena, anchoring himself down. Then he "banished" the sword and made fists with his hands, rushing at Sera with a flurry of black-flame covered punches and kicks.

Sera smiled and vanished. A cloud of smoke took her form. She quickly appeared behind him and dug her knee in the small of his back. She grasped his head firmly and tossed him over her shoulder. "Darling. I grow weary of this argument."

Tyrus yanks himself out of Sera's grip."Very well, if you want it to end...Shadow cross!" Sera's body automatically straightened into a 'T' shape, and then a cross of black flame appeared behind her, somehow shooting out black spikes that pierced her in almost every body part. "Normally I would have to force you into that position, but since you took some of my blood, it made it much easier to control your body, and to prevent that 'vanishing' trick.." Tyrus then recalled his sword, and jammed the bottom side of the blade through her head. "Hopefully when the Grey Knight finishes his fight, we'll have our time together, but for now, rest..."

Sera collapsed to the ground. My frail body took the large demons place. My cerulean blue fur now soaked with blood.

Boy, take care of her body, shes something that no amount of years can replace Tyrus left that as a 'message' when his formed dispersed, reverting completely back to Chrono, causing the cross to vanish. "Wha...Phoenix...oh man...why did you push it this far?!" he almost yelled, now holding her up.

Sera's shadow stood a few yards away. See you soon Tyrus. Maybe too soon she thought before dispersing.

The medics soon arrived, and going through a really brief mortality check, they 'haul' her off to the infirmary for revival...
Chrono gets back up, tears in his eyes, and filled with unsatisfied anger. I have nobody to blame but myself for having to let it get that far, but I'll vent it out on Philly if he beats Gabag, which I doubt.
