Title: School idiots
Post by: Renaud Magicpaw on April 14, 2009, 04:12:48 PM
Okay so heres the deal, some kid decided to ride on his buddies hood, his buddy got to fourty miles an hour and hit a bump, kid riding on the hood fell off, took brain damage and what not.  I honestly don't care what you guys say, but I think he was being boneheaded and tempted lady fate once to often and so he had to pay the piper.

Yeah, sounds like something someone around where I live would do.  I had a cousin that did something stupid like that one time, except he was standing up in the back of a pickup and got slung out going 60 MPH and slid on his arms for about 20 feet.  He had to go to the doctor to get gravel plucked out of his arms... not fun for him. :'(

Hilarious for us. :P

I agree that it was incredibly stupid of him but i do feel kinda bad for him, injuries like brain damage are something nobody deserves, that and death, and maybe a couple other horrible things, i lost my train of thought...oh yes, now because a stupid mistake, his life has changed, true he could have died but some forms of brain damage are worse than death.

all im saying is that nobody, however stupid they may be, deserves injuries such as those.

sorry if i offended anyone :( just my opinion

I suppose no one deserves it, but sometimes they earn it, y'know?

I agree! My brother told me once that his friend got hit head on while riding his bike. He said he found it funny seeing do a full backflip and land on top of the car! For me I didn't find it so funny, I mean why would you be riding so fast into an intersection anyway?

Yeah, in seventh grade I learned never to take my eyes off of the road while riding an elctric scooter... Wound up with eighteen stitches after I hit the back of a pickup and jammed the muffler into my leg...  Not a good day, to say the least. :'(

I had someone I worked with do that, hes smashed his head open, was in the hospital for 3 months and didnt have brain damage despite it all. He was dumb, but got a second chance, he hasnt been exactly the same, hes more toned down, but hes still the same person. People do dumb things and suffer the consiquences, whether they deserve it or not means nothing because everyone does something stupid sometimes and learn from it.

Okay, just got an update, the kids gonna be okay, without brain damage or anything, they still have him in the hospitol but he'll be back at school tomorrow so things are just dandy, although I've gotten one death threat and one threat for serious bodily harm in the process

Why were you threatened?

Why were you threatened?

Yeah, I don't get this part. Didn't you, like, just watch or were you involved in the injuries? Well, the kid didn't deserve to suffer, but I think he just needed a bit of moral and lessons for further actions.

No I wasn't involved in the actual stupidity I said 'He made a bad choice, did something stupid, and now he's paying the price for it.' and I've received two threats for it.

That bites, dude.  Just remember, screaming "rape!" in the parking lot is very effective...   :)

Well, I think they exaggerated their reactions. I'm sure they were angry, but I higly doubt they'd ever do it. Unless they remade the threats, I wouldn't fear. You can still contact autorities if they were dead serious. Death threats are crimes.

I think you should contact the autorities about this, it seems pretty serious. I'd like to help in any possible way.

i dont think anyone deserves brain damage, but needless to say, riding on a hood is anything but smart or cool.

Sometimes opinions should be kept to yourself to avoid things like, well, death threats.

His friends would be worried about him, despite his stupidity, so saying "he get his just desserts" is more than just a bad idea, it makes you look insensitive.

If you really, really feel your life is in danger, go to the authorities. A lot of times kids get angry and make empty threats just to scare people.

And next time, be considerate of the feelings of others.

I didn't say 'he got his just desserts' I said he's paying the price for his chioce, I said nothing about him deserving it.

It's the same thing, essentially.

No, it is much diffirent, if I did something stupid and got hurt, I would say I payed for my choice, not that I deserved it, no one deserves the posibility of permanant damage, but for every choice you make, you pay a price, that is a given but that doesn't mean one deserves that price.

I would agree with RoRo on this one.

It's the same thing insomuch that he said something that made it look like he showed no compassion for the kid that got hurt. Doing something like that is poor judgment. Some opinions are just better left withheld.

I highly doubt anyone from this forum would be able to help her, unless they lived in the same state and were willing to drive down to her/his city.

And, really, death threats?
Quite pathetic.
I say he deserved it.
That's just my opninion, though.

ya talon thats fine, but you dont say that about or to the guy if your not friends. thats just common sense.

Pfft.
If someone did something stupid, I have the right to tell them.
I'm quite blunt, as of....
And threats wouldn't bother me,
Considering the fact that I live a block from the police station.

no i don't mean like death threats, but if some one a random person you don't know gets hurt because he was stupid, what right do you have to say 'look you got what you deserved', it's just being polite that you don't rub people's noses in their past mistakes. or say that to the friends of that person.

if my friend got hurt being stupid, and some random person who has nothing to do with how he got hurt, and had nothing to do with the injured party before hand, i'd be pretty pissed off if the insulter said 'hoho he got what he deserved, thats what you get for being stupid'

in that case it'd keep my opinions to your self. i mean, we all can say what you want, but the really would hurt feelings and tick people off. and for what, what would you accomplish by walking up to a person that was hurt in the hospital and say "ha, you did this to your self, you deserve this" how would that solve anything at all.

Falcon, remember this:  Question marks are good.

I see what you're saying.  It would be a bit counter productive...
