Title: Stage Fright. Senior Recital.
Post by: Ruffie Tealet on March 14, 2009, 06:58:14 AM
Ok so im performing for my school Senior Recital, and im such a nervous wreck. Im singing You and Me by Lifehouse.

I've had 2 practices and a few other acapella of other songs to practice my vocals, but everytime i sig infront of people, my hands start trembling, my feet taps on the floor and its so obvious im nervous :th_PyongLlora: :th_PyongLlora:

I need help on how to keep cool. Cuz i sing way better if im not nervous. HELP

Well, do NOT imagine them in their underwear. Just... really... Don't!

That's a bit obvious, eh Ruffie? Well here's one for you: Look at a friend as you sing it or look over the heads of the audience. A comforting friend is always a great touch and if that won't work, use as much blissful ignorance as you can.

Quote from Eiffel 65's Now is Forever

"The Past is all that's gone; The future is yet to come; This moment is all our own, we should live this way. Now is forever."

I'm saying, don't worry about what you could have done, and don't dwell on things far in the future. When the time comes, you know what to do. That's why you did well, Ruffie.

On a less dramatic and less wise note: Great job! I wish I coulda' seen it, but there are really many things stopping me from traipsing across the world, buddy.

Sounds pretty good for someone without much experience. I don't think I'd ever be able to sing in front of people. :P

I wish I could sing. :'(

every voice has potential to being a good, or at least decent, singer's voice.. if you have problems with your voice, you just need a lot of training/practice.
