Reason for wishing to leave : This reminds him of when he lived through WWII, seeing what the Nazis did to Jews, gays, Jehovah's Witnesses, and anybody that was different. He will not have such prejudice to be repeated even once in his life time. He tried to take down the humans single-handedly, but failed.
