Just a quick question to see what people think on the topic.
-
I think they're pretty cool and if you have one you must have spent a lot of money and/or put a lot of effort into it.
Most likely I'll never get one myself, but I will never be against the idea of dressing up.
-
I like the idea, but I'm too cheap to buy one. I'd like one, but not for the going rates.
-
Kinda cute and sometimes hot... <3

Honestly, I LOVE the fursuits. I remember the first time I went on a furwalk, it felt like I was a kid all over again. Not that I was wearing one, but being amonst all those living stuffed animals was an amazing experience.
That said, I wouldn't want to have one myself. No matter how beautiful the suits are, I'm not willing to give up two thousand euros for something I'm not gonna wear much. Besides, those things get way too hot for me. I really can't stand high temperatures. So I'm stuck with what I like to call "fursuit alternatives". And yes, I'll be getting one for sure.
-
I doubt I could ever afford one myself, but I love seeing other fursuiters! Especially when they're really into their role and energetic, like Telephone. I make it a goal to take pics with a lot of cute 'suits while at fur cons.

Recently got my first fursuit. Not of Rocco but of a blue falcon (in the military, a blue falcon is a buddy **censor**. I was a living pun) for the on base costume contest. I must say, I had a BLAST, it's amazing how free you feel and how much social anxiety goes away when in suit. And was surprised by how many other military furs were there. They weren't in suit obviously. And surprisingly, no negative comments. Definitely can't wait till I can someday get a suit of Rocco and go to cons.

Pretty cool and all but definitely not something for me.

The poll doesn't have my perspective.
I think fursuits are wonderful. Getting hugged by a fursuiter is among the second most endorphin-releasing things to have ever happened to me (the first, by far, was the announcement that my brother's second child was on the way; it cured a fever). I always wait for them to initiate it; I'll ask for a selfie, and if they don't put their arm around me, I just assume it's a no-go.
Now.... of the seven suiters I've asked, I've had four takers. I did at one point consider getting my own one, but I showed up to this year's Fursgiving meet-up in a "furbox" and weirded out some (girl's) boyfriend by sliding down the stairs in it. Can't really do that in an actual suit.
Still... fursuits are among the biggest attraction in the fandom, for me at least. I adore getting attention from a fursuiter. One day I might afford to go to a con and see what happens.

For me, they are living works of art and I plan on getting one as soon as I can afford one and all the expense that comes with them. Sure they can get hot and everything, but a little bit of discomfort is far outweighed by the pure joy that they can bring and the smiles that they bring to people at cons etc,

I have been a furry for 9 years and I have always wanted a fursuit. The problem is making a good fursuit is hard to do and very time intensive, and very expensive if you just want to buy a premade one. It's still on my bucket list though.
-
Fursuits look incredibly cuddly. I made my newest fursona with the idea in mind that I may get a fursuit of him at some point, though that may be in the very distant future. I've always wanted to know what it is like to be hugged by a fursuiter. I imagine it's a very nice experience. Even before I really got into the furry fandom, I thought fursuits were cute, and a lot of them are very well made.

While I wouldn't wear one myself, I do think it's fun to watching people creating their own and rocking them! The process of building them kind of fascinates me, honestly. Anyone who has made one, how long did it take you to make your favorite one?
-
There's no answer on the poll that fits for me. I think fursuits are really cool, and I'm glad there are people who make and wear them, but I wouldn't want one myself.
-
I honestly used to not really be into them. Now I'm at the point where I wouldn't be surprised if I end up getting one at some point. Probably won't be for a while though.
-
The poll doesn't have an option that fits my view.
I like the idea of them in principle and I think there are some really gorgeous suits out there. But mostly the ones I see I think look hideous and tacky. I know tastes are different but just seeing the same neon cookie cutter huskies over and over is uninspiring.
-
The thing is I do want a fursuit and I definitely have the money for them atm.
But.... at the same time...
I know I will only wear it a few times a year and it's hard to justify the money, even if I can easily afford it. I can get a new computer for the cost of a fursuit.
But I might get one.
