I used to use emotes and colored font a lot. I haven't been here in a few months, but I see other users are still able to use these tools. I am using Firefox 61.0.1 (64-bit), the same browser I have always used, and I'm using Windows 10, same as always. I can't think of anything that may have caused this.

Strange how it happens, happens a lot in FireFox
all are available in Chrome


maybe its a glitch on FireFox browser
others also had trouble in the past with the browser

What happened was that due to an incompatibility introduced from a recent Firefox update, the site owner Tweak has disabled the WYSIWYG post editor by default, but you can re-enable it. You should be aware however, the WYSIWYG editor will not work unless you use Chrome or Opera internet browsers to access the forum.

In the screenshot on the post you linked, the bug looks nothing like the one I'm experiencing...

I don't have an option for "Toggle View" or anything. Plus, in the screenshot, the text box is grayed out, and the smileys and other options are all present (they aren't in my screenshot)

Go to Profile > Look and Layout > check the box for "Show WYSIWYG editor on post page by default."

But like White said, if you use Firefox you might have an issue with it and may need to disable it again.

You can still type in BBCode to use the same fonts and colors and emotes as usual, but the editor was giving us too many problems.

it was the glitch I said to Tweak that the editor might have been the issue.

Now the bug is the same as it "should" be, I guess. I don't know why it was the way it was before. Now I have all the options, though.
