Title: Best Album You've listened to?
Post by: Ginger Ale on August 01, 2017, 04:12:12 AM
What's your favorite album? Or just an album you really like (cause god knows I can't decide when it comes to picking my favorite)

I'm really digging Junta by Phish right now. It's hard to pinpoint what genre they are, kind of like a blend of different types of rock. Sometimes it's going fast, sometimes slow, and sometimes it's just really weird. It's cool.

My favorite album is Untouchables by Korn.

I also like Who Killed Amanda Palmer by Amanda Palmer
Unplugged by Nirvana

.....I am sure there are a bunch more.

Not much of a Korn fan, but I do like the Unplugged album from Nirvana, that's an A+ one right there. Something about live albums is always cool. I'll have to listen to that Amanda Palmer album for sure.

Korn is the reason I am still alive.  I had some rough years.  Many songs on that album are just a description of me at that time.

As for Palmer, that was randomly discovered by me and I love it.  If you understand the music and what she is saying in contrast to what she isn't saying then that is me now.  So good.  ^_^

Check out Ampersand or Runs in the Family.

My chemical romance's rerelease of black parade is hands down my favourite, the demo tracks (in the Living with ghosts part of it) are the best thing in the world <3
Gerard's voice is nice and raw (unedited, not screechy), I like how they talk at the end about the song and I like how I was here for the release X3

EDITED because baud is a scrublord :^)

Oh damn, oh man. This is a hard one. I really dig AJJ's knife man, but the new leftover crack album is so good..
and rouge taxidermy! By Days n Daze, that's good..
Oh, who am i kidding, i've listened to knife man more times that i can count. It's just raw emotion, aheh. And not all boohoo im sad emotion..
idk man. I'd say listen to it, but ,eh.

Oh yeah antiflag and blackbird raum ha.. AGH

And you guys are talking about raw? Aheh. I'm gonna be honest, alla' that stuff is more processed than kraft american cheese in comparison   :P
It's actually a bit over the top, but, eh. I've seen alot of these people live, and there's really emotion in em when they play.
Not trying to hurt any feels here but my own oops

@Baud -- Pretty much everyone in my area who likes rock likes Nirvana. Which is a lot of people. I don't really like In Utero as much as I like Incesticide though. Haven't listened to the former in a while though, not in it's entirety.

@Rori -- I've never listened to an MCR album. I've heard mixed things about them. I'll probably end up listening to them at one point or another.

@DazedMongoliensis -- I've liked AJJ for a while now. Knife Man IS really good. I really hope their next album isn't another disappointment like Christmas Island or The Bible 2. I hate the distortion effect on most of the tracks (though The Bible 2 has Junkie Church and Small Red Boy). Rogue Taxidermy is really good too.

I don't have a favorite song, I just like the album as a whole.

There are two albums I really love, can't skip any song, at times it's hard deciding with song to start off with, for me all are so good, the two albums are:
kind of the funny part, both where released in 1986

Slayer - "Reign in Blood"
it's not just the very first album I ever bought with my own money, also "Raining Blood" was the first metal song I ever heard, ever since wanted to listen to the rest of the songs, was I in for a surprise when I heard the rest of the songs, how two different songs blend into one perfectly "Altar of Sacrifice" and "Jesus Saves" and also "Postmortem" and "Raining Blood"

Every song loud and aggressive, wakes me up in an instant ready to take on the day, it's kind of like my "coffee" to get up and get rid of sleepiness

Listening to it after hearing any kind of bad news will make it better for me

and

Megadeth - "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying"

Another album, I also bought since I first heard the song "Peace Sells" wanted to listen to the other songs, glad I did, every song was so good, even to this day I still listen to it, fast and aggresive just how I like my music to get me up and ready to take on the day

My favorite album is Brand New's "Daisy".

It's got a wide variety of songs. There's a few chill songs, like "Bed", a few loud songs like "Vices", and lots of stuff in between.

I also agree with Baud about Nirvana's "In Utero", which is my favorite Nirvana album. In a way, "Daisy" is like "In Utero", since both bands began moving/are moving towards a new sound in their respective albums.

Tough choice for sure, but up there near the top for me would have to be Rust In Peace by Megadeth.  Still my all time fave album of theirs  :D

That is a hard question, as I would have so many favourite albums, but if I was to choose one, it would definitely have to be Sabaton - The Last Stand

While relatively new in the line of magnificent albums the Sabaton has produced over the years, I just think The Last Stand has so many very memorable song I keep moshing to on a daily basis! I just love the Sabaton's mixture of powerful metal music that mixes intriguing telling of past historical wars fought by humans throughout the history in the form of catching songs!

Sparta, The Lost Battallion, The Last Stand, Shiroyama and the Winged Hussars tracks are just made of pure awesomeness...

Hm. Well, I love Plastic Beach from the Gorillaz (my favorite album) but another close choice would be The Smiths - Meat Is Murder. I really recommend those two.

(Just a quick thing I thought I might post. Brand New just released a new album, called "Science Fiction" the other day. We'll soon see if it tops "Daisy" for my favorite album.)

Raubtier, as in the entire band. I couldn't pick just one album so I went with the band.  X3

Probably "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" by The Alan Parson's Project. Whenever I listen to that album I HAVE to listen to every song, not just pick and choose a track.
