Title: [TECHNICAL] Amount of members mentioned on homepage/portal
Post by: Ventus Fall on May 18, 2017, 07:15:58 AM
I went to check out the home page and saw that an amount of members were mentioned, which is 1800.
However, right now we have over 10.500 members.
It's small, but something I happen to notice.

So my suggestion is either to update it manually or place some coding/feature in there that updates the amount of members automatically.
Another alternative is that we don't mention the amount of members and change it to somethign along the lines of 'an evergrowing community'.

Thank you for reading :)

Haha, yeah I'm fairly sure that hasn't been updated in quite some time x3

And updating manually could work but depending on the level of growth could become outdated rather fast; I think if a small piece of code to automatically list the current count or just removing it altogether would probably be the best way to go about it.

I agree with the not mentioning numbers idea. Most members are inactive, and we've always got folks coming and going. (mostly coming then immediately going, but you get the idea!)
