Title: (POLL) Choosing A Species For Another Skintight Fursuit
Post by: guest22811 on March 25, 2017, 03:10:32 AM

I'm looking for an (real) animal species that isn't overrated, isn't unguligrade (skintight doesn't match with hooves) and isn't a lion.
If you have any other species suggestions feel free to ask.Basically, I'm planning to make another skintight fursuit like this one  https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?topic=36038.0 (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?topic=36038.0)   , but out of cuddle fleece instead to achieve a more skintight look. If someone wants a tutorial, feel free to ask and I will make one.

So I don't know much, or anything really, about making fursuits- but I wanted to ask, (since you seem to make a lot of really cool ones) have you ever made a reptile fursuit?

In fact, no, I haven't. Mostly because I'm not interested in them I guess

I voted rabbit because I like them and haven't seen as many rabbit fursuits as cats and foxes.

I've had...major issues with cats IRL. I'd prefer to not go into details

I'm trying to find a species that doesn't require any padding and still looks normalish. This means I can't really do hooved animals. I can do winged animals *however* It usually looks out of proportion without padding and modifications to the feet.
You get the idea.
That's why my choices are very limited.

I'm making the suit for fun since skintight suits are interesting to compose and design. This isn't a fursona, so idgaf about personality traits. focusing on appearance here.

The suit is gonna be slim (skintight.)
Like my pr
evious suit here:

Don't read here if you cannot be bothered

Surprisingly, despite me not liking cats very much, I might do a suit of one. I actually have seen more rabbit suits compared to cat ones. This is probably because cat suits mostly seem to only look good when a resin blank is used (realistic.). However, as yall know, cats, wolves and foxes are the overrated stuff in the fandom.

About rabbits. I don't like them very much- however, they are often seen as a very friendly animal to the public so there might also be a possibility that it will be done. Only when the Zootopia hype has passed a bit though. I don't want to be pointed out for being a Judy Hopps ripoff (even though I'm not).

Lastly, fennec foxes. I didn't expect that many people to vote on it in fact. I don't like them very much either however I really do love their long ears. Thing with these though is that since fennec foxes have eyes that look 100% black, usually one would make them toony. However, making it toony just makes the fennec fox look like a dog with very long ears.
