The worlds running out of space and resources so all furs needed to pack up. Each fur got their ticket to one of the many space ships built for this new trek into the unknown. You got a ticket to the NSM, or New Santa Maria. Then right on time the ship took off into the depth of space laving the planet you knew as home behind.
The craft you live on is called the New Santa Maria. It may not be a beautiful ship on the outside but inside its is full of everything a person would need to live a somewhat full life.
All your food and water needs are taken care of by the amazing robot force that keeps the ship running.
Each person has a room complacently to them-self that is fully programmable to have what ever a fur needs or wants.
As a resident of New Santa Maria you have the lovely options to enjoy the gym, the pool, the wreak room (nice comfy room with games and such), The virtual gardens, and the view room (a room full of screens that show the outside space- made to look like windows).
There is no longer any need for jobs with the lovely helper bots taking care of every need.
And residence are asked to please stay away from the control and engine rooms as these are not the places for curious furs to play.
So for this rp I thought it would be kind of fun to just hang out, talk, and play with all the future tech. (Think star trek and Wall-E)
No extreme powers or blowing up my space ship please. If you'd like you may use more then one character. (I personally may use both of mine- don't know yet)

Talon growled loudly, this morning alert was very unwelcome. he rolled out of his comfy, overly plushy bed, and sat up yawning. he gets up and leaves his room in his PJ's. he gives a tired half wave to the Cat in the hall and slowly sulks to the commerce area.

*stares into the dark abyss of the Rear view, where the Earth is still visible as a pale blue dot. Shakes head*
- Yeah, just like in that picture.. *looks around, gets up from that rediculously clean floor. Got a really bad fur day after the 'night' on the floor; picks up my vest: used it as a pillow*
- You're talking to yourself, you senile cat...
*listens to silent hum of the ship for a while, but hears my stomach growling mostly*

Place of Birth: N/A Kat woke up on-board the New Santa Maria with no records on the ship's computer. She's been treated as a stow-away and has been told she will be dropped off at the first opportunity, but until then she's enjoying the full benefits of being on the cruise ship. MegaByte the robo-dog has come to be her close companion and protector, but is also a way for the computer to keep a close eye on Kat.
Kat rolled over in bed and pulled the covers up to her ears as the ship's voice echoed into life. "Ugh..." She growled, the morning wake-up call joined by the sharp yapping barks of MegaByte as he jumped up onto her bed. "Ok, I'm up... I'm up!" Kat pushed the robo-dog away with a groan and heaved herself up out of bed, not even bothering to change out of her pyjamas. The ship's floor was cold under her paws as she wandered sleepily over to the breakfast buffet.

Talon grabbed some food and flopped down into a seat. He was always a bit of a sloucher. He saw someone was already here and a lynx walked in after him. He yawned and ran his paws through his mane sleepily.

Rick walked into the breakfast area, looking wet from what looked like a shower, he had changed into a black vest and jeans. He walked towards the table

*The lion says to himself. Much to his suprise, that doesn't sound very convincing. He comes closer to the Rear view screen and taps on the blue dot -- it grows just a tiny bit bigger, as the ship's camera struggles to picture this particular piece of infinite space more clear*
- I really need to eat.
*he repeats; puts on his vest, paws the pocket on his long black shorts to check if the magnetic key's still there. Wouldn't want to lose that again. He hears some commotion down the ship's corridors, then a robo-dog barks. For some reason, he feels much better now. He won't look back at the screen. Enough.
He steps into the hallway leading to the breakfast area, still oblivious to his bad fur/mane, and in a moment finally greets quite a party gathered to have some chews*

Rick turns around and waves at the lion for a second, walking backwards for a moment and then turning back to the table, he sat directly next to the lynx
"Hiiiii" he smirked awkwardly

Rasha is waking up from his cozy hole in a wall like bed and then yawns while stretching and hopping down to get the morning scraps and ran with the clicks and clocks coming from it. And stopping when he is in the clear and saw all the big folks. "Eeeuhn! Eeuuhn!" ((What I think raptors sound like XD))

*grabs some synthetic chips and pure water, sits on a fragile-looking plastic chair*
- Just like back in school, eh? *half-smiles to Talon, sitting a few tables from him; sends the coffee bot away*
- Thanks buddy, but I'm planning to catch some cat nap soon. ....right here. *he adds in a humorous tone*
*Notices Rasha and smiles to him.*
*I'm so tired. And I don't even work. 'Course, I'll find something to do around here. Maybe I'll trick the maintnance bot into letting me pick some junk for my.. experiments. Or, I'll go to the gym. Or... Or at least I'll stop spacing out in Space. *
*Drinks more sparkling water, relaxing, enjoying not being alone*

"yeah you think if they can make a space cruiser they could also afford to make comfortable chairs" he comments back. Talon picks at his food for a bit then finally bored enough he gets one of the bots attention. "paper. pencil- sharpened" he says and the bot gets him just that. the paper wasn't made like real paper but Talon didn't have a whole lot of choices. he started to draw the other furs while they enjoyed their breakfast.

Kat tucked in to a large plate of fried eggs on toast as the other furs trickled into the breakfast lounge. Under the table the robo-dog ran round in circles, yapping and chasing her feet playfully. She looked up to squint sleepily at Rick when he sat down, without her glasses on the feline was a blurry patch of sandy yellow colour. "G'morning..." Kat mumbled a greeting in reply through a mouth full of food, then returned to listening to the various conversations around them. She chuckled at Talon's comment about the uncomfortable chairs with the lion at the back.

He leaned back in his chair and scratched the back of his head, his ears drooping ever so slightly
"So uhh, what's up?"
He blushed, giving another awkward smile and looked around the table, not having eaten yet.

"Hmm?" Kat glanced over at Rick absent-mindedly. Her long tufted ears flicked up at his question. "Oh, uhh... Breakfast! Hehe." She replied with a grin, pointing down at the food on her plate with a fork. The lynx cocked her head to one side slightly, squinting at him. "Are you not hungry? The ship's robo-chef is getting pretty good now, these fried eggs are almost like the real thing..."

Rick stared down at the food and back, returning a glance to the lynx.
"I guess I'm not too hungry right now, I never an when I'm tired"
He sighed and went back to leaning on the chair, occasionally glancing at the lynx

While the big folks are chatting in there sorta odd language Rasha walks up the the table only to see that the top would require jumping if he wants to get to the top. And so he to Fable and gently batted his head on her leg. "Yip yip yip yip!" It called in its normal tone while getting his beady eyes one her being he would like some scraps of food.

Talon looks down and smiles tiredly. "ey boy" he greets "here ya go." he puts his plate down for Rasha. "if you want some more I'll get ya some.

Wakes up alone again in my bare, empty cubicle of a room. How many days is this now? Have lost count, especially when sleeping more than 24 hours at a time...
Vaguely heard the morning wake up notice in my dream, enough to actually wake me up today. Pads listlessly out into the hall, then, seeing no one, moves on to the dining room , intentionally not looking into the viewing room as I pass by.
In the dining room I see many of the other 'guests', some I've met, most I haven't. Without saying anything I get my breakfast from the chef-bot and carry it in my teeth to a spot near the tables, then lay down and start eating the quite rare steak.

*notices a big feral wolf come in, looks with interest -- I've never seen this guy before. Or any ferals around for that matter. -- He thinks to himself; sees a native feather in his ear -- He might be a shaman! Wonder if he already knows I'm a werelion with a proper feral form?..*
*Shakes a bit as he thinks what it may be like for a shaman to leave Earth behind -- No, no, that's just a feather, that's it; watches the wolf gets some rare stake... A beauty of a stake. Closest thing to hunting you can get on this ship*

Activating Pawn 109.
A pod door slowly opens up in the science lab as one of the most recent pawn androids come to life. Programmed with a simple personality, Pawns are meant to be assistants to whoever wishes to purchase one. Pawns can preform multiple tasks as enforcers, nurses, tutors or whatever the buyer wants them to do. However 109 was none of these things as she was part of a new experiment in Artificial Intelligence, to see if show well an android can assimilate with the rest of the general populace. The reason for this experiment is to see how far A.I technology has evolved which in turn could open some doors in science...or start a machine revolution. The hope is to make the machines more social with whoever they are working with and create a sense of companionship between machine and man.
So as Pawn is given a set of clothes to wear and gets dressed, one of the scientist puts a code that should create some emotional awareness in her. Once this is done they put a thin layer of skin to cover up her android number and her wander the ship.
...and so it begins.

Michen was still in their room, grooming themself. That stupid voice at least ruined the nightmare. It had something to do with them leaving on a ship, then their home planet got exploded to bits with no chance to return. Then every day was the same, again and again and again, driving them to insanity... Michen clearly wasn't fully awake yet. They finished grooming and looked and looked around. Oh shoot, they thought, it wasn't a nightmare. I'm living in it. Or at least sort of.
Michen sighed and left their room through the slightly oversized cat-flap. How kind of the robots to install that thing for them. Being pretty hungry, they headed towards the dinner area.

Rasha smiles in joy and then try's to snaps his jaws at the food on the plate with not relief, and then taps his toe claw before licks it up and then uses his little claws to get messy.

Kat glanced up from her breakfast when she heard the nearby lion talking to himself about the garden, then looked back over at Rick and met one of his sidelong glances. "Sorry, I'm kinda useless at conversation in the mornings..." She added, sheepishly tucking back a loose lock of her hair out of habit, "When I'm tired I think a big breakfast helps. But everyone's different I guess." At that Kat smiled and shrugged. With her food finished she leaned back as well, clearly full, and looked around to find MegaByte... The big silver robo-dog was gleefully chasing one of the helpless coffee-bots around the canteen.

The pawn unit, or newly dubbed scaly alice, enters the cafeteria and goes looks for someplace to sit. Her programming made her think she was a normal person and she even functioned like one, though she still did not know how to interact with other people.
A little shy she went up to Kat's table with her food.
"Umm...i-is it ok if i sit here?"

Rick followed her eyes towards the dog
"Is that yours? I haven't seen anything like it" he said, pointing at MegaByte.
Shortly after, he turned to the new face, and smiled as he searched for words

*With the last of the ham gone, the lion grabs his plastic cup of water and starts wandering around a bit; with a particular interest of what Talon's drawing, he stroll just that far*
*Notices more and more guests arrive to stuff theirselves with different food -- Wonder how many of it is real food -- Notices a gecko stopping by Kat's table. -- I thought I know everybody. Turns out this flight is really crowded. Hm. Oh well, the ship's really big, so why bother*
*Drinks the rest of my water; now just peeking a bit on Talon's drawing*

Michen entered the dinner area, where he spoke to one of the robots. "One big steak, rare please." Michen said. Being able to speak really helped them.
Soon the robot returned with a pretty big steak. They took it in their mouth, walked under a table, lied down there and started to eat. They noticed it was actually medium rare, but they didn't really care and continued eating it anyways.

"Well... I don't really own him. He just follows me around, I don't think the ship computer trusts me very much..." Kat replied to Rick, watching as MegaByte hid under a chair, the robo-dog's antenna tail wagging excitedly. The lynx smirked and shook her head slightly, "But I've grown kinda fond of him. He's called MegaByte by the way."
Kat looked up at the newcomer, slightly surprised as well. There were still a lot of people on-board the ship she'd never really met. "Uh, yeah sure... Feel free to sit wherever, I don't mind." She nodded and scooched over to make room for the gecko at the table as well.

Alice takes a seat and feels kind of awkward being around people. Her false memories are that of an engineer that has been training for quite some time
"...sorry i'm not used to being around people. I don't get out of the lab much." She says taking a bite out of her food.

Rick peeked over at Alice, reaching out for a plate on the table
"Hi!"

Rasha was done with his dish and then saw the werid shiny dog and then walked through people's legs to watch it and fallows it. "Rawrf?"

The Wolf, having finished the steak shifts slightly and lays his head down on his front paws, seeming to just relax. If anyone looked closer they might see the eyes, though half closed, are constantly moving, watching everything that happens.
His sense of smell and base intuition are still his, even with the loss of his abilities, so when the new lizard comes in something about her catches his attention... realizing he didn't 'feel' anything when she came in peaks his interest. If being disconnected from Mother Earth had severed his connection why was he NOT feeling this ones presence..?
So many people.. so little depth of feeling, but realizing there WAS some feeling left...

Talon looked up when he felt he was being watched. "oh- hi" he said looking up at the lion. He looks back down at his drawing then shifts it over a little so the lion can see. "just a sketch." sketched out on the page were all the other guests enjoying their breakfasts.

- Don't undersell yourself, this is pretty neat for a quick one. But.. What's with my mane? I don't really look like that, right?
*haven't seen his bad mane yet, due to lack of mirrors around this particular area; then paws it a bit*
- Eh.. Fair enough, I guess *turns red for just a split second* - Realism's important! *chuckles, then keeps strolling around, stops by the big feral wolf he noticed before; sits on the floor, but not too close, to show some respect*
- Hello. I hope I won't bother you too much. Just wanted to know, if.. if that steak's any good? It certainly have the looks, but I guess I just don't wanna spoil good memories back from, you know.. *points somewhere behind, not certain where the Earth actually is right now*

Michen decided to look around if they could see anything noteworthywhilst enjoying the steak. It hasn't been long since they left Earth, but they were already a bit bored. Then they saw some kind of robot dog. Not knowing what it was, it definitely piqued their interest.

Kat's tufted ears perked up at Alice's comment and she tilted her head to one side, looking at the gecko curiously "Oh! You work in the labs? We don't normally get to go in there... What are you working on?"
MegaByte the robo-dog crouched low as he prowled under the tables, though he wasn't very stealthy, almost coming up to the height of the chairs. His rounded black-visor face was low to the ground as though sniffing around like a real dog. The coffee-bot was no longer interesting to play with, but It could sense two others were following it, some kind of raptor and a snow leopard? MegaByte's ears swivelled up and his tail wagged excitedly as he scanned the canteen.

"Hey..." Alice blushes as she see's Rick. Then turns her attention to Kat's question.
"Well we were working on a new android series of Pawn units, trying to upgrade on our older models. Unfortunately i can't tell you much more then that. Nt-not because i don't want to but...what happens in the lab stays in the lab." Alice says starting to relax a little.

Watching the Lion's approach, shifts head to just one paw as the lion sits down. Raises head and nods in acknowledgement of him sitting down. Eyes still roaming the entire room, but mostly on the lion.
"The steak is okay for synth-steak, no blood taste, but the texture is ok. I've had worse real meat a few times.... I'm Naake ni, lone wolf now, I guess."
Offers paw...

Kat smirked slightly as she noticed Alice's blush, glancing surreptitiously between her and Rick. She looked straight back at Alice when the gecko girl answered her question though, resting her chin on her paws as she listened to the explanation of the work they were doing. She laughed at Alice's turn of phrase about 'what happens in the lab' and nodded in response to the last comment, noticing how she seemed more relaxed while talking about her work. "No, no I understand you can't tell me anything confidential... It sounds interesting though."

*cracks at wolf's response regarding real meal being worse than that synth food; then shakes wolf's paw*
- Nice to meet you, Naake ni. I'm Alex.. This may not be much, but I was kinda looking for a loner like me, for.. a company, I guess.
*Half-smiles at wolf*
- ...And the view room is too depressing lately anyways *is ashamed to shiver a bit to a thought that by now the Earth will not be visible. At all. *
- Maybe even the fake garden would do better now. *shifts a bit sitting on the somewhat cold floor*

Michen had now eaten a part of their steak. They took the rest in their mouth and quietly walked over towards the table with the robot dog. There were other people sitting there as well. Michen moved under the table, their tail still visible. There they carefully lied down and looked at the robotic dog, with one of their paws resting on Kat's feet.

After finishing the sketch Talon gets up and throws it and the paper plate away, He stretches and thinks about what he'd like to do and decides a quick swim would be fun.

"Nice to meet you too Alex." Shifts and stretches... Slowly gets up.
"Think I may go to the gym, they have a treadmill big enough for me to get a good run on, has a programmable screen so I can at least pretend I'm running in the woods...... "
Seem to want to say more , but just shake my and sigh... turns and pads out of the dining room with tail dragging on the floor.

*Waves to the guys remaining in the breakfast area* - See you 'round, people! *starts to walk*

Turns head to Alex "Always room for others in the gym, might have to dust off the equipment though... (kind of half laughs). Have to do something to stay sane here."
Continues down the myriad of hallways until arriving at the gym. Stops by a treadmill with a very oversize belt and tells computer "Load Wolf Run".
While it loads turns to Alex again "It took me a while to set this program up, and it's still not quite right, but it's from my view point instead of a 2 legged one, and there MAY be some.. um.. graphic chase scenes... Have to keep the instincts sharp."
Steps up on belt and starts padding along easily waiting for the program to start...

Rick slipped away from the table without being noticed, he had an extremely short attention span, so he ended up walking around the ship.
There wasn't much at all to do, except maybe go back to the gym...
Rick peeked into the gym as he passed it, not expecting the doors to unexpectedly open. He stood awkwardly in the doorway.

Hears door open, turns head to look, sees the Sand cat from the dining room standing in the doorway.
Starts to say something "Hey, come on..." just as the program starts with a long loud full pack howl, my attention once again on the video screen in front of the treadmill as I join in the howling.
The speed shifts from a slow pad to a moderate trot, and the hunt is on....

- Dusting is quite an exercise! Otherwise, we'd be the ones in need for dusting *chuckles*
*walks the long hallway with the wolf to get to the gym --So many empty rooms. In the end, the bots will probably build some more places to be lazy around here. I wouldn't mind a place to watch a good movie though. Or, if I'm honest with myself, a place to nap, when other furs watch movies*
*Walks through the huge gym to get to the treadmills; lights turning on automatically, as this place was empty just now and there was no need for lights; watches the wolf sets up his program*
- You set the program up yourself? I know a few tricks to make it better, if you want.. I was an IT guy back then. *gets on the second treadmill --Why I keep saying it aloud? Maybe it's just to get it through my head, so I can just go on?*

- I kinda liked working with computers, mind you. Flying inside one, now that's different.. What about you? What was it like for you.. before? *looking at the virtual full moon on my monitor, almost mesmerized*
*Watches the wolf go full hunting mode. --I like that. I gotta try that someday..*
*trotting lightly, just has the time to wave to Rick*

Lumix walked towards the pool, stretching his legs as he walked. As he walked into the locker room, he began to get unchanged and tried to smooth out his ruffled hair

"Hey!" He says, stretching rather queerly, looking to the wolf and the lion

She laughed at Alice's turn of phrase about 'what happens in the lab' and nodded in response to the last comment, noticing how she seemed more relaxed while talking about her work. "No, no I understand you can't tell me anything confidential... It sounds interesting though."
"It is...where is everyone going?" Alice asks as she notices everyone leaving the cafeteria.

Focused on the program running before me I am all but oblivious to anything else.
As I trot my head drops low, scanning the screen, various other wolves appear and fall back, none take the lead position, that is mine. I try to use scent to hunt, but haven't figured that part of the programming out yet, though I know it's an option
Somewhere in the back of my mind I hear or think I hear Alex mention he was IT, maybe I should ask him to lend me some hands....
I pick up speed moving to a lope. The sounds of moving through the brush, the panting of the other wolves, the bird sounds, it's almost real, but with the smells missing...
The program has a random path generator that controls the prey which suddenly appears as we crest a rise, I howl again to my pack, egging them on. I begin the true hunt, planning, calling out to the others where to go though all know their places. Working as one unit we stalk the herd, I select today's target, and separate it from the herd... Breaking into a hunting run we give chase, shift and turning, I watching out the corners of my eyes for my pack, catching comforting glimpses of familiar fur.
Today is an exceptional pursuit, through dark forest interspersed with small meadows and streams, sudden hills and drops, and fast shifting trails through the brush. Panting, legs and lungs burning, I close in on the prey, nipping at it's heels, trying to make the take down catch, the taste of blood and hide in my mouth, though only in my mind, or maybe the residue from the steak this morning.
My pack circling out to set a corral as I've taught them, then, just as I am about to make the take down bite the screen goes blank as the program fails. My pack, the prey, the woods, EVERYTHING disappears leaving me lost and confused as reality, this damn reality, returns. As I drop from the hunting run to a trot then a walk as the belt slows I curse under my breath, taking all my effort not to destroy the treadmill out of my frustration.
After the belt comes to a stop I stand there blinking back tears, breath ragged from the run and the loss, trying to get my emotions under control. After several minutes I finally step off the treadmill and quietly pad out of the gym back to my cubicle of a room, alone again, naturally.

*watching the whole thing happen leaves me speechless, and I am almost as frustrated as the Naake ni. I see him leave silently. We have to give each other freedom of loneliness, at some point.*
*I stop my treadmill and reset the locked up machine. I sit by the monitor, trying to get access to service menus*
- It's a memory problem, too many entities. Oh we can fix it, we'll use the AI module to generate those as you go, and -oh! The scent capsules controls, this is my favourite... *keeps mumbling to himself, not sure if Rick is here or not; pushes the service bot away:*

Talon was standing on the high dive above the pool. He pulled his mane back into a neat pony tail before taking the long dive into the water below. It was a less then graceful dive but then again Talon was never known to be graceful. Once into the water he starts swimming laps.

"It is...where is everyone going?" Alice asks as she notices everyone leaving the cafeteria.
Kat glanced up as the others left one by one and shrugged slightly. "Off to do whatever they fancy... I think some were going to the gym, some to the pool. I had half a mind to go swimming as well, or maybe just relax in the virtual garden."
She looked down under the table, a large snowcat or leopard or something had put its paw on her foot. MegaByte the robo-dog barked happily, his tail wagging at the new friend he'd found. Kat just shook her head with a bemused smile and turned back to Alice, "What do you fancy doing now you've got some free time out of the lab?"

Alice follows Kat's her gaze down to the snow leopard that was laying under the table...which actually kind of scared her a little as she was not familiar with such an animal.
"W-well uh...i guess we could...who is this cat?" She asks as she slowly slides away from Michen.

"I'm not sure actually..." Kat replied as Alice slowly backed away from the table. She seemed far less worried, sliding her chair back as well to get a better look under the table, her fluffy bob-tail wagging curiously. "MegaByte doesn't seem worried about them though, so I'm sure they're friendly... There's all kinds of people on this ship." Kat said as she glanced back up at Alice with a reassuring smile.

Michen, who still held the small patch of unfinished steak in their mouth, knew they were discovered. Overhearing the conversation, the snow leopard tried to think of what to do. They could either fight, run away or try to make friends. Well, there was only one good option between them. They couldn't just be stuck here forever on their own. Michen finished their steak and appeared from under the table, then sat down next to Kat's chair.

Alice see's Michen being friendly which eases her artificial heart. She reached out a hand to gently pet the snow leopard.
"I guess so."

MegaByte ran around the three of them, his electronic barks yapping excitedly as the shiny silver robo-dog initiated his playful routines. "Oh gosh Mega, calm down you silly robotic mutt!" Kat couldn't help laughing at the robo-dog's antics, but pushed MegaByte away when Alice reached out a hand to try and stroke Michen. The robo-dog barked one last time and crouched down close to Kat in a guarding position, watching the snow leopard closely, his antenna tail wagging.

Michen hesitated for a bit, then walked towards Alice and allowed her to pet their head.

(sorry for the depressing stuff, but it's for a reason, bear with me. It will be worth it!)
Laying in my cubicle, wishing things were different, that I had been with my pack when the boarding groups were established, or even that I could have at least seen them off to know they were okay. Not being able to say what I am feeling bites.
Again I think, If only I hadn't been out on that vision quest when the wranglers came through for the departure groups... My fault, I was supposed to protect them, to be there for them, and I failed.
Then there is the loss of my abilities... Granted I haven't had to try to heal anyone, but I can't 'feel' my connection, my source. I worked hard for years to learn everything I could, for what. It doesn't matter anymore.
I fall into a fitful sleep, battered with dreams of the things left behind, our den, my private meditation area and all my supplies and tools, the cubs space, and then my mates grave there outside my meditation area window.... I was gone then too... failed. I always thought we'd lay together forever when my time came.... failed.
I slept, I don't now how long, a few minutes or a lifetime... Time is so vague here, but as I open my eyes begrudgingly I wonder if the whole departure was a dream as I'm back in my den, everything is as I remember it, I go through the den nosing things, remembering why they are there. I pad into my meditation space, it is as I remember also.... I turn to the window and there, lit by the slant of the Spring sun, is my Mate's final bed. The flowers just beginning to bloom around the memorial stone. The only thing missing is my pack. I struggle to wake from this dream, trying to force the dream to stop but it is real.
They told us as we boarded the cubicles could be arranged any way we desired, I assumed they meant the furniture, not the whole appearance. While I slept the bots must have read my thoughts, my need for my space, and configured it. I'm home, at least somewhat. The emotions come strong again, especially with this mornings hunt still fresh in my thoughts. It's all too much, I finally break and let the pain, the loss, and the failure out.
Not sure how sound proof the walls here are and I really don't care if others hear me right now, but the echo of my howls reverberates through the den with an empty echo. I call my pack until I'm hoarse, and even then keep calling until I am exhausted, falling again into the deep sleep and the dream world.
My Mate comes to me, She understands.... I'm the Healer, the Shaman, The Alpha. I did what had to be done for the pack, and for the others I've helped over the years. She forgives me... She tells me my pack is together and safe, that my Beta, my son, was well trained and ready to lead. She tells me it is time for me to forgive myself, to find my new purpose, my new pack, to heal those hurt around me. As she fades from my dream she looks back, her last words I'll remember forever:
"It is time, my love."

*I smell the scent capsules activated. It now smells of generic forest. Without a doubt it's no different than that Autumn Park of mine. I chuckle as I realise it*
*Walking to the other part of the gym to push some weights while the machine does the self-test. Some thinking must be done, too...*

"That looks... difficult" He scratched his head while watching

- Nah, unfortunately it isn't. Guess The Ship actually made programming stuff a lot easier than it should be..

- So what's your plan for today? Guess we cats don't like water, so we stick to the gym.. *giggles* Need an extra pair of paws while pushing the barbell?
*gets up and smiles at Rick, making it look like he could go on, while panting, in fact.*

He proceeds to go over to the weights, and looks for the heaviest ones, it would be easier if he knew how to count

- But, if you ask me, I can only say I wasted what was left of my time on Earth. I thought, if I work super hard, they'll let me stay, and none of this would ever happen. Now most of my memories are as fun as the ship's daily log.

*hears the testing treadmill stops. --It's so silent now..*

Rick begins lifting the barbell up and down

After a number of laps Talon put his arms on the side of the pool and just rested for a while. the water dripping from his fur created a large puddle around his head. his head was filled with designs he wanted to try and draw later. he stretches boredly and wondered what he should do till then. he's never had this much free time before. He hops out of the pool and shakes off a bit before stepping into the dryer, A large room with many fans to dry fur. He turned the dryer on and within seconds his fur was dry and fluffy.

- And I guess I'm sorry *smiles to the Cat shyly, then he gets up and strolls to the treadmill to see the test result. It seems just as desired.*

- Oh it's just a little something I'm good at. See, I made a lot of programs to make running here less boring, it's like a 3d game you're in. This 'Wolf run' wasn't initially mine, though... and, unfortunally, glitchy. Not anymore I hope!
*turns off unneeded equipment for now and walks around more, before stopping by horizontal bars, stretches himself lazily*
- Ohh.. Now that's my kind of workout hehe *laughes at himself, then makes a dozen of chin-ups*

- The wolf from before.. By the looks of things, he lived with the real pack back then. I can hardly imagine, what would it be like for him. I really wanted to do something for him. Well, something besides leaving him alone for a quiet moment. Something-something...
*Walks around the gym, just trying out different machines*
- Ohh my brain's a bowl of jello, I can't think of anything. *the lion sits on a bench with a weight in his paw*

"Let's go find something else to do, it's boring in here, and i'd rather do real sports that sit in the gym"

- I still say *catches his breath* Empty rooms are creepy. *looks back and forth* But... I know some of em are open.. Er.. Correction, I hacked them... Well I was bored! *says childishly, giggles. Running makes my body feel somewhat complete. Not something you get to feel wasting time around ship's cozy beds and nests of all sorts.*
- Huge blacked-out halls, football-field-sized! What do you figure they are for?

Talon gets dressed again and unties the front of his mane from hits ponytail. He walks through the halls with his hands in his pockets thinking. He's not really paying attention to the world around him. Just his thoughts.

I sit in my meditation room trying to focus myself, but my mind is all over the place. I've never had a problem centering myself before, but I've never tried off the earth. I finally just sit at the window and look at the memorial stone, watching the shadow from the artificial sun as it tracks across. Watching the flowers, and notice there are no bees... The flowers flutter i the wind like they are alive...
My mind calms as I look at the one connection I have to Earth, the words "It's time, My Love" echos thought my thoughts, coalescing them into a single focal point. The battle inside subsides as I sit looking out that 'window', a.d I finally understand.
I pad out of the den into the hallway, and just start walking around not really thinking, just letting my mind process everything. I figure I might as well get to know this place, and maybe meet some of my new neighbors. Looks like I'll be here for a while...

*Runs into the dark hall too and stops in what he think is the middle of it*
- Er.. We made quite a lot of noise! *points back, obviously not seen.* Someone might've heard us!.. Oh yeah, I forgot, this isn't a school hallway we were running through *laughs then makes a few steps forward* His eyes barely catching any light coming from the corridor, so he can just barely see, where the opposite wall is.*
*The weird hum can be heard here, probably from the ventilation system. Or not.*
- Now check this out! There should a massive echo around here, but: *sings a few lines line from Cats - Memory, it vanishes into the air, barely ping-pongs off the walls, making this place far more creepy than it needs to be*

Michen nodded, somehow knowing they found a friendly soul on this... forced new home? That's what it felt like, at least. Yet, they couldn't help but relax just a little bit now they found someone where they could be friends with.

Kat knelt down to watch Alice petting the snow leopard. They'd seemed to have become friends easily. She glanced up and grinned at Alice's comment about Michen's size and shook her head, "No, me neither... MegaByte is big enough, but he's a robo-dog so it's kinda different..." she said with a chuckle, then nodded in response to her question. "Sure, the garden's nice enough if you fiddle with the virtual settings."

Talon keep walking and passes by the large wolf. "hello" he says with a nod of his head and keeps walking, He's really not sure where he's headed or why. He just feels the need to keep walking around. He sighs to himself seeing the long hall of doors. He stops in the hall and sits down pulling out the pencil from earlier. He tests it on the wall- he can get a few light marks to show up. With a smile to himself he starts drawing. He knows a cleaning bot will end up cleaning it all of but its a bit of fun. Talon starts drawing a huge flower along the wall- a rose to be specific.

- Well that was.. unusual. *looking a little freaked out* - But fun! Not much of that going on on this ship...

Replies politely to the Hyena in passing, after rounding the next corner realize I should have introduced myself, I really don't know anyone by name but Alex. As I pass the gym I glance in, no lights on, start wondering where Alex is, wanted to ask him if he'd help me fix the treadmill program. Wonder if there is a way to find out who's in which rooms.. start looking at the halls and doors, every hall looks basically the same, only the door markings are different.
Wandering helps me think.. not thinking about where I'm going, but letting myself be led.
I'm noticing there are only a few feral's on this ship, can only imagine my pack... scratch that.. my Son's pack and the effect they are having on their ship. A full pack of wolves (9 adults, 3 pups this year) is enough to stir things up. Makes me wonder what the others here think about having me here. If they knew... but that's something I have never told many about, and had to really trust the ones I did share it with.
A ways down from the gym I find the swimming pool, pad in (lights come on), dip a paw in to check the temp and think about jumping in until I remember it's been a few days since my last true bath. Sure I've rinsed off and brushed, but I don't think the pool bot's would appreciate the hairball I'd leave in the filters right now.
Back in the hallway I keep wandering. After a while I pass the viewing room (and just keep going), that means the dining room should be coming up on the right in a bit. Not sure what time it is, but the chef bot's don't seem to care about the clock either, think I'll stop and grab a snack and see about some coffee... This should be fun... o.O

When they get to the door "Hi again Alex, sorry for leaving like that earlier... it's rough."
Looks toward the sandcat and turns heads slightly, obviously thinking "Hi, you look familiar, but I can't think of why. I'm Naake ni.." Offers paw

*--Naake Ni seemes in a much lighter mood now. Glad he found something to hold on to. What was it, I wonder. Oh, I barely know these guys and they're pretty much all I have for a company... And the little thing I still have as a secret.. I'll have to tell them at some point. Just hope they'd be okay with it*
*He waves guys in, as he found the coffee bot in the corner, recharging; probably depleted from all the morning's commotion...*

Talon was struggling somewhat as he was having to finish his drawing along the corridor wall, his other paw planted against a cleaning bot keeping it away. "I am almost done! you can wash it away in a moment!" Talon growls at the bot. The rose was huge and Talon was quite happy with it and determined to finish the pedals before watching it get washed away.

"Just so you both know, I love coffee, but it's a bit of a deal for me to have. Might need a little help from one or both of you for this to work.. I could REALLY use some coffee today."
Pads over near a corner table that has a padded bench on one side, 2 chairs on the other "Hope this is okay with both of you. Anyway, coffee is normally in a cup, which requires thumbs to hold."
Jumps up on bench and sits, lifts forepaw in the air
"Obviously, I don't have thumbs. What I did... before... was to get a kitchen pan with a wooden handle, though that might be a stretch here, I guess plastic would work.. that way I can hold the handle in my teeth to carry it, and it's big enough to drink without getting my nose stuck in it (not that that has happened before..). Hoping we can raid the kitchen and get a suitable pan before the securi-bots get involved.."

- You with me on this? I have the kitchen door hacked, and um... What? *blushes for a split-second* I-I was hungry at night, and chef-bot was on maintenance!.. But still, we'll need time to look around, and the robo-chef will only give us a few warnings before calling the securi-bots.
*puts paws on the table to plot this kitchen-attack, grinning*
Our options are:
1. I can try to convince the robochef to just lend us one of his pans, given I sorta know how his pseudo-AI works.
2. We can forget the nice approach and just raid the kitchen for a pan, than deal with securi-bots. The worst they can do is push us out of the kitchen anyways. Besides, what they don't know, is how much our friend Rick can push! You should've seen him in the gym!
3. Do both at the same time and see which tactic works.

Coffee-bot rolls away... I'm left with my nose following the aroma of syth-coffee, smells distinctly tropical, maybe Hawaiian blend? Wipes the back of my paw across my jowls, then looks at the others wolfishly... "Yes, I need a coffee fix that bad..."

Can't help but get excited, maybe not a real hunt, but still!

When Talon finally finishes his drawing he smiles quite pleased with himself and lets the cleaning bot go to do its job. It doesn't take long to all be washed away but Talon enjoyed it none the less. With that task done Talon walks away listening to the cleaning bot work and heads for the dining area for food.

As Talon sips his drink one ear remains perked listening to the commotion in the kitchen. he's curious if the bots have gone mad in there!

Naake ni follows the other two out of the kitchen, still looking for the securi-bots to show up. Also wonders if the Chef-bot has any built in memory for faces to help him remember who likes what cooked how... If so that could be a problem.

Talon flinched at the sound of all the pans being dropped. and watches the group with curiosity.

Not knowing what to do, Michen walked to the garden area. It was the room on the ship that reminded them most of their now former home, even though the garden looked... odd. Michen approached a tree, and slashed it. Their claw just went straight through it, as if it was a ghost tree. Of course it was a hologram. Michen sighed. Was his really how the rest of their life was going to be?

Looks at all the stuff on the table and paws through it. Finds one pan with a larger handle, grabs the handle in my mouth and bites it fairly hard leaving teethmarks, but has enough give to get a safe grip.
"This one will work, thanks for the help guys. Now just need to find a place to stash it so the cleanup bots don't take it back to the kitchen!"
Looks at all the other 'stuff': "Now why would they have THESE in the kitchen.... hmmm"

I heard the ship lets us design our own quarters as we like...

Paws at the pile, "I was wondering why THESE were in the kitchen." pushes a pan out of the way to show a gun type of weapon.

- Well.. *takes a better look at the thing Naake Ni points at* - It could be used to um... light a gas cooker.. which we don't have around.. *paws the thing*
- Alright. We need a gun expert. *lowers the voice, sips some coffee* And a closer look on that kitchen while the bot will be out for his maintenance again...
- Anyways, coffee's pretty good, actually! *starts filling Naake's pan with steaming hot coffee from the pot that coffee-bot left*

Talon finishes up his drink and leaves the kitchen glancing at the three and their pile of loot once more before leaving and going to the gardens.

Michen tried fiddling with the options in the garden, but their efforts were... futile at best. At worst, the garden could cause an seizure for a few seconds. Michen eventually gave up messing with the options. Looking around them, the trees had purple leaves and a yellow bark. The grass was blue and there was an bubbling orange lake in the middle of the park. Michen looked at their paw, thinking they shouldn't try messing with the options again with their big paws.

Talon walks into the gardens and pauses, everything looks a tad odd. He's really starting to wonder whats going on around here. first he watched some furs raid the kitchen and now the virtual gardens are all odd colors. It's been a strange few days.

Michen, who really didn't know what to do or how to fix this, just was in the garden grooming themself. This was such a mess... Couldn't they just have planted some real trees before they left? That'd make everything so much easier for everyone...

Talon saw the snow leo grooming themself, "hey," Talon greets as he walks past to one of the control panels. Talon knew very little about computers but hoped the controls were somewhat user-friendly as he started to tap away on the screen. if push came to shove he knew he could just get a bot to fix this for him.

Talon taps away at the controls reading through the many options. "doesn't seem like much around this place works." he comments to the snow leopard. "I'm going to try and reset the gardens.... should be a reboot button. As he says that the garden holograms all disappear and reappear in a few moments with most of their normal color back.

"Yeah," Michen said and nodded. Though that wasn't even all of it. They couldn't explain it, but they felt like they lost more than that... More than just a former home.

Talon wants to show a bit of support but isn't sure what to say. "is there something that would make you feel more at home here?" he asks

Michen thought about this one. They would like that the park had real trees and grass, but that wasn't an option. But maybe... "Can you set the machine to make it snow?" Michen asked. It wouldn't be the same of course, but perhaps it would make them feel a little better.

"I'll see what I can do" Talon said with a smile. He flipped through all the options which made the room flip through all the different environments until he found the winter wonderland. All the trees turned to pine trees and the floor was covered with piles of holographic snow. pieces of the fake snow drifted through the air, though you couldn't touch them. "and final touch" he says as he turns the AC on full blast to create some cold wind. "hows this?"

Michen looked around. They couldn't really feel the snow and the snow seemed to fall right through them, but it made them feel a bit calmer. "Yeah. Thank you," Michen said.

"not a problem. Though I'm not really one for the cold so I think I'll be headed back to my room." Talon said as he stood up. "The names Talon, by the way."

"I'm Michen, nice to meet you." The snow leopard looked at Talon.

"It's nice to meet you as well. I'm sure we'll see each other again but for now- I need out of the cold." Talon takes his leave and walks back to his room feeling pretty good about today.

"To the new start... " Toasts best I can.
Finishes the pan of coffee, then looks around for someplace to hide the pan... See's and access panel down low behind one of the booths. Noses at it and it opens easily, not much in it but some wiring and cables, but they make a shelf that the pan sits on nicely. Pushes panel closed, then turns to Rick and Alex.
"Think I'm going to go check out the holo-garden... might be fun... then probably back to my den to meditate. Will see you both around, I'm sure. Try to stay out of trouble!!"

Michen watched Taylon leave. The people on this ship seemed to know what was going on in their head, at least partially. Of course, a lot of beings were in the same situation. On a ship, not knowing what the future brings, not knowing if they'll ever land on another planet, being far away from their former home... That was the one thing almost everyone on this ship had in common. Michen sat down and thought for a while like that, enjoying the fairly low temperature.

I padded through the hallways until I arrived at the holo-garden, as the doors slide open I realize two things..
1. It's freaking cold...
2. It's Snowing!
I realize just how hot it is on the NSM, and smile wolfishly. As I pad into the garden I shake, fluffing my coat and letting the cold air soak in. The garden looks beautiful, tall fir trees covered in snow, a light snow falling, the ground a pristine white.
I am so engrossed in the snow I don't notice the Snow Leopard from the dining room until I am almost on top of them. Not sure if they have noticed me yet or not, I stop and let out a deep breathe, casually looking around, but watching the Leopard out the corner of my eye.
I think to myself "If They chose not to notice me, I'll do the same and just walk on..." but i hope they are friendly, it's be nice to have another feral to talk to about things here.

Michen heard the wolf's breath, and looked in his direction for a small while. Then they turned their head away again, still deep in thought.

Seeming to have my answer I pad out into the holo-garden. I am careful to maintain the illusion by walking around the trees instead of through them, but with no feeling of the snow under my paws, etc, it's nice, but not real.
With all the space on this ship maybe we should talk about creating a real garden/atrium area?? Not like we don't have time to do it..

Michen had enough for now, walked to the reset button and pressed it. They were actually kinda curious what else could be found on this ship. Perhaps... Was there an aquarium of some sorts on this ship?

Talon walks back towards his room and props the sliding automatic door open. He goes to the computer and orders some spray paint. Talon is about to make this room perfect. but wanted to be sure and have some ventilation.
With the canisters in hand Talon goes to work on the first wall.

Kat walked into the virtual garden, shivering from the cold that rushed out of the sliding doors. She crossed her arms and rubbed her sides to keep warm as the room reset to a mild spring day; green grass pushed through the virtual snow and the thick pine trees flickered and shimmered into large green oaks, casting a dappled light over the garden. MegaByte, Kat's robo-dog, ran around chasing a holographic butterfly and yapping his electronic bark. The lynx smiled and glanced over at the snow leopard and a large feral wolf, she cocked her head curiously at the latter's comment about growing a real garden, "Hmm... That's not a bad idea actually." she said to herself, tapping her paw as she thought about something.

At the sound of barking, Michen looked where it came from. It was the robot dog from earlier. They also saw the lynx coming in, mumbling about something. Michen looked at Kat, carefully making a few steps in her direction.

Lost in thought as I walk among the snowy fir trees it takes me a moment to realize the 'snow' is gone, instantly replaced by a green forest... I'm still not ready to deal with all of this and emotions well up again at the reality slap.
I turn and pad quietly toward the door, seeing the Lynx and her robo-dog near the door. I nod politely at the Lynx as I pass, and pad out the door...

From outside Talons door all that can be heard is the hiss of the spray paint. Talon has a shirt tied over his muzzle to help with the smell as he fills his room with colors.

*collects all the items left after our little kitchen robbery* - See you around, Rick! *and strolls down the halls to his room. Enters it and falls over with all the stuff, making heck of a noise*
- Hacking automatic lights was a bad idea...
*gets up, starts putting stuff away in almost complete dark, only lit by few working monitors, dimly. My den is mostly electronic parts and stuff, messy and hardly a living quarters. There's a basic plastic bed in the far corner, with some basic quilts. Bots asked me if I wanted something better than that, but.. that's not an option anymore, as they'll notice a lot of stuff that doesn't really belong in my room. Few wall panels are removed, as I was looking for more power cables...*
- There.. *I flop in my chair in front of some more screens. One of it seems to be showing pictures of Earth. I space out, even closing my eyes at some point. What I don't realise is that my door has had enough of hacking goin on and is stuck open*
*I start humming my old songs --I wonder if people are still listening to those, back on Earth. Do they even know that I'm gone? Do they care?*

Talon stepped back after a long while of working on the back wall of his room. On this wall he was trying to go for an ocean theme. He had the basics done and just needed to touch up his designs a bit. He hoped he could get each wall done in a different theme- but also wasn't sure how much spray paint the computers would let him have. He hoped that since this was his room the computers would just let him do as he pleases.

Foxi was sitting in her room next to Midnight and Dusk, reading a book. "Hm... I'm hungry," the fox hybrid muttered suddenly. "How about you guys?" Midnight nodded his agreement, but Dusk only shrugged. "Eh. I'm going to go get a snack. Come on, Midnight. Dusk, you can stay here and read if you want." Foxi proceeded to set off toward the kitchen, Midnight following behind, while Dusk contentedly stayed in the room. Foxi let out a quiet sigh as she walked. She missed her old home, and wasn't quite sure if she'd ever adjust to life on a spaceship. Even so, it wasn't like she had a choice..

Kat knelt down as the snow leopard padded closer to her, she settled down on her haunches in the holographic grass of the virtual garden and held out her empty paws encouragingly to them. "Hey there little fella'... I remember you from breakfast." she said with a cautious smile. At her side Megabyte the robo-dog had also crouched down, clearly watching the snow leopard approach his owner.

Rather than going back to my den, or to the dining room, I decide to just walk the halls and see what I can find, and who I can meet... Not really paying attention to where I am, and having taken a couple of different elevators and 2 sets of stairs, I am pretty much lost in space... I see the different decks are identified in the room numbers, but I am currently in a range of numbers that tell me just how big this ship is... it's fricking huge!
Having not seen anyone for quite a while I start checking doors to see if they will open, and most (about 70%) open when I approach, reveling empty rooms, some quite small, others that would make good sporting stadiums.
Towards the end of one hallway the hallway widens out and ends at a wall with 4 sets of double doors. Approaching the nearest set of doors they open and reveal what appears to be a launch hangar several stories high, and big enough to fit several sports stadiums! The hangar is totally bare, as if the builders decided it was unneeded, just bare walls, floor and way up a ceiling with enough lights to make the space seem like the desert at high noon...
I enter and then lay down on the floor to think, remembering a comment I made out loud in the holo-garden about creating a real garden/forest for all to enjoy.
Loudly "Computer" the word echos around the empty bay... I repeat louder "COMPUTER!"
From off to my left I hear the computer respond "Yes Resident?"
"Computer, explain your capabilities to provide equipment and supplies needed to start and maintain an earth based living eco-system in this bay."
"One moment please, evaluating equipment and stores on-board to comply" After 10-15 minutes the computer responds with a series of high technical responses before I break in "Computer, stop explanation. Explain in layman's terms.."
"Understood, New Santa Maria has adequate equipment and stores to build and maintain an living earth replica eco-system, and the service bots have the technical abilities to do so. Input needed for planning and design of eco-system."
"Computer, My goal is to create an enviroment that the great majority of residents would find inviting, with areas suitable to different climates, etc. Discuss, in layman's terms, the best use of space to provide a realistic enviroment. Please show graphic designs for consideration on nearest large display, along with projected timelines to complete, considering other residents projects and normal ship maintenance"
After much conversation with the computer, retrieving information about the many residents of the ship, and some technical learning on my part, I manage to relay to the computer what I have in mind using photo searches for examples for mountains and valleys, forest and glades, along with a small desert bordered by an actual seashore. Lighting and 'weather' systems to provide reality, a lunar and solar time cycle, and many other details for the construction and operation of the Eco-system.
"Computer, finalize programming and design. Lock doors to all but me on my departure until I remove this security protocol, and notify me daily in my den of progress and issues."
Projected timeline is 30 days of construction, but the actual eco-system will be a long term garden project that will grow at a natural pace from seeds and genetic material in the ships stores, effectively taking many years to fully realize the scope of what I have done here. Hoping the residents will appreciate my efforts I give the computer final approval.
As I pad out the door the enormity of what I am doing hits me. I stop just outside the doors, turn and look at the empty bay one last time.
"Computer, begin construction and secure the bay"

(oh my gosh! so excited to hear progress on a real garden! also "small desert bordered by an actual seashore" my brain decided to read that as bordered by an actual seahorse.... i was so confused for a moment.)
Talon drops the now empty paint can to the floor not caring about a mess at the moment and looked at his finished Ocean view. It of course wasn't hyper-realistic but Talon was quite proud of his ability to get a bit of realism. the wall was covered in dark ocean waters, a whale painted along the top bursting out of the water, tiny fish in the background, and small jellyfish along the bottom. Talon was happy with this and decided he finally wanted out of his room! the ventilation was decent but the smell of paint was really starting to get to him. So with his door still propped open he slipped out of the room and sat down in the hall way for a while.

*I listen to the boring stuff Computer tells me, rocking in my chair a bit. --Nothing at all. I could swear I heard.. Oh well, no matter anymore. The ship's smart. It'll do whatever to maintain cozy and comfortable inside*
*I switch one of the monitors to the Back View camera. Nothing but distant stars here anymore.*

After padding around for a couple more hours I finally find my way back to my den. It's been a long day so I meditate for a while, then go to bed...

Michen slowly came closer to Kat, seeming both careful and curious. They couldn't explain exactly why, but somehow they felt like the lynx would be a very good friend. When Michen was only 10 centimetres or so away from Kat, they sat down, keeping an eye an Kat and waiting for her move.

Talon woke up curled up in the hallway outside of his room. He half chuckled to himself at having fallen asleep in the hall. he stretched out and laid in the hallway a bit longer trying to determine how long he had been asleep when his stomach interrupts his thoughts with a loud growl. So he decides to go and get some food from the kitchen.

*paws around the system directories for some more time, then finally notices the door is stuck open and gets to repair it, sitting on the floor just outside of his room*
-Hope no bots will catch me repairing stuff I've destroyed in the first place *gets a little fried, some sparks flying; keeps on fiddling with the door*
-Wander what time is it... I'd die for a nap. Yet... I don't really feel tired

Checks status of the 'garden'.. construction is almost done, water features going in, still barren, but some of the features are looking good. Confirmed that plants where started in another area right at the start, and things are growing!
Pads down to dining room to see if anyone is around... passes several service-bots cleaning or transiting the area, but no one else in the halls as I pass through.

Talon is sitting in the dining area sipping a steamy drink with his back against the wall. he's sitting with his legs crossed and just thinking to himself.

pads in an nods politely to Talon as I pass. I continue on to a small panel set in the wall, paw it open, then use my maw to grab the handle of a pan and pull it out. I close the panel, then pad back over towards Talon, st the pan down and ask "May I join you?"
As I wait for an answer I quickly turn to the coffee-bot and call out "Coffee, pot, black.", then turn my attention back to Talon.

"yeah sure," Talon says. he's seen this wolf around on the ship a few times but never has had the chance to speak to him. "My names Talon."

"I'm Naake Ni, nice to finally meet you. You're the artist, aren't you?"
Pauses when bot comes with the pot of coffee "Fill the pan"
Moves nose close as the coffee pours... closes eyes and sniffs "Aahhh..."
Looks back at Talon "Sorry, good coffee is one of my weakness's" grins wickedly.
"So, have you done anymore drawing?"

"I wouldn't quite call myself an artist," Talon says thinking about back home, people there definitely saw him more as a nuisance. "Good coffee is a weakness to most it seems." Talon says with a laugh "Can't start my morning without at least one cup." before the coffee bot can leave talon reaches out his mug to be topped off again.
"recently I've been painting my room- I hate how clean and sterile the default rooms look." he knows he could have had a computer change it to something else but he's not even sure what he would want the computer to change it to- so instead he'll do it himself. "And what have you been doing on this flying tin can?"

Michen was walking around on the ship and saw Fable and Naake talkinig to each other. They were actually searching for a robot that could give their room a little makeover. Or at least have something to make it easier to regulate the temperature. Curious to know what's up, Michen tried tto come closer to the other two without trying to pull a lot of attention.

"I kind of took the initiative and planned and started a living garden.... It's going to be a very long term project as it grows, but I tried to include as many different eco-systems and climates as I could in the space. I just hope I didn't overstep... "
Looks around and notices Michen, nods politely before continuing " It's using a lot of the ships bots and power right now while they build the main parts, and there is a nursery going for the plants... "
Turns to Michen directly, "Would you like to join us?"

When hearing Naake ni great Michen Talon looks over and greets them as well. "Hey," Talon says politely
"A living garden? That's pretty impressive. I'll be interested to see it when its had time to grow, I think many people would be very happy to have a place like that to visit."

Sipping on coffee from the coffee pan as we talk. Looking between Talon and Michen as I speak.
"Living garden might be slightly under-representing the scope of it. Think about the size of the biggest sports stadium on Earth, then put at least 10 of them together... You could get lost in it once it's growing up. I just hope everything works out the way it's planned, if not I will be the most despised furson on this ship..."
Siips coffee
"I may have used a large part of the ships stores of seeds and stuff to do it. I think they were meant for colonization, but if it does work the plants can be transplanted if we find a now home."

Talon sips his coffee trying to imagine a garden that big! He really can't imagine it. "Really I think the risk is worth it, having a living growing area on this tin can would be amazing even if it does use up some of the ships supplies. Hopefully, it does work though! I wish you a lot of luck- That is a huge project you've taken on."

Michen lifted a paw as greeting kept listening to what they said. They had a virtual garden on this ship, but a real garden would be a lot nicer. "Uh... Can you tell me where the real garden is?" Michen shyly asked the two.

Now talking to both Talon and Michen at once.
"It's probably too late to stop it even if I wanted to now. I found what looks like a flight deck for fighters or shuttles that was unfinished when they built the ship. It's a huge empty space.. or at least it was. The ships bot's and computer are doing the construction and getting everything ready. I have the doors secured, as I don't want anyone to see it until it's ready to to open to everyone."
Thinks for a minute
"I don't mean to sound controlling or anything, it will be for all, it's just that I want it to be a done deal."

"Understandable- plus construction can be quite dangerous. should probably keep people out until it's safe at least," Talon says "in an area that big this will end up being quite the large garden. what kind of climate have you programed the room to?"

"It is huge, at least for the situation... It's actually big enough that the climate varies! Without giving anything away I tried hard to have something for everyone... "
Grins wolfishly, and sips coffee. "Coffee-bot, I need a warm up here!"

"that sounds amazing," Talon says imagining all the possibilities! "It'll be interesting to see when its all said and done."

Michen was very interested in the real garden, but it seemed like they couldn't do anything there for now. Having heard enough, they walked away in search of the aquarium room they were trying to find earlier. The ship was huge, and it could be anywhere. Feeling like they already searched off this whole floor, Michen went downstairs to see what they could find there.

Sees Michen turn to go, nods "Hope to see you again soon"

Talon gives Michen a small goodbye wave.

Finishes coffee, pads over and puts coffee pan back in the cubby it was hidden in, then returns to the table.
"It's been good talking with you, look forward to seeing and hearing more about your artwork. Hopefully I can open the garden soon. Might go check on it in the morning."
Nods politely
"Have a great rest of your day, Talon!"
Turns to pad out of the dining room.

After talking with the ships computer and looking over the project data I decide to send the following message to all my shipmates.
"Good day all!
Some may have heard I tasked the ship and the various-bots with building a garden area in an unused hangar bay I found several decks down. I apologize to all for any inconvenience these past weeks while the ship built what I hope is a place where everyone onboard can find a place to suit them.
The good news: I woke this morning to a message from the ships computer letting me know construction and landscaping were done on the garden!
I am scheduled to meet with the supervisor-bot for a walk through after lunch tomorrow to check it out and plan any changes or rework, BUT if it's all good I'd like to have an opening to all my shipmates Saturday Morning. Doors will remain locked until then, though.
Hope to see everyone there and hear your thoughts!"

(I'm sorry Naake ni, I didn't see the post before this one!)
Talon woke up and checked the computer lazily when he saw it was Saturday he felt a renewed excitement, The garden is supposed to be completed today!He got up and quickly got dressed before traveling through the halls to get to the hanger bay. "hey naaki ni!" Talon calls down the hall with a friendly wave. Only now does Talon notice the flecks of dried paint in his fur, But he's already here and will have to remember to pick all that out later.

Greets Talon enthusiastically, but wishes more or the residents had shown up, this was done for them..
Before opening the doors I tell Talon
"I tried to design an enviroment that the great majority of residents would find inviting, with areas suitable to different climates, etc., mountains and valleys, forest and glades, along with a small desert bordered by an actual seashore. It has lighting and 'weather' systems to provide reality, a lunar and solar time cycle, and many other details for the construction and operation of the Eco-system. It will grow at a natural pace from seeds and genetic material in the ships stores, effectively taking many years to fully become what I envisioned, possibly something I may not live to see. I just hope the others appreciate it..."
With that said I turn and "Computer, is the enviro-garden ready?"
Computer replies "Affirmitive"
"Then unlock the doors and lets see what we have created!"
There is an audible click then both sets of doors open to reveal....
I stand there silently looking out (or in..) at... so hard to describe... It is what I imagined, even now at the start of it's life. the grass is growing thickly, but obviously still new, as far as the eye can see there are plants (trees, bushes, etc) only a few inches to feet high, but I am drawn to a cliffside above a river that cascades out through the garden to empty into a distant 'ocean'. On the cliff face is a barely visible trail leading to a partially hidden cave with a rock outcropping that looks out over the vastness of the garden.
"Computer, who authorized the cave in the cliff? That was not in the design plans."
The computer replied "After researching the various species, including your's, it was added based on your comments to ensure there was something special for each on the ship. The cave is a den for you, a place to look out and watch as this place grows. The others will have to look and find their own special features, they will know them when they find them..."
I turn to Talon "After you, or at the same time..?"

Talon listens to Naake ni explain how he set this all up in all, Talon has zero Talon with understanding computers- lets alone working with computers to make an entire small echo system!!
He watches as the doors slide open and his shoulders slump in amazement and bewilderment- This was no small eco-system It was like mini chunks of the earth all just patched together into one huge room of living breathing life.
Talon didn't even hear Naake Ni's question about walking in at first because he was so captivated by how amazing this scene was in front of him. But eventually, he nods, "Yeah.... l-lets go in."
Talon walks in with Naake Ni, His paw touches the grass and he hesitates a moment afraid that it isn't real. He sets his paw down into the long blades of grass. He didn't really know how much he missed grass- He never really thought of earth- he accepted life on this cold tin can of a ship but now with the living real grass under his paws he slowly kneels down on the grass running his hands along the top. "It's real..." Talon is surprised by the fact that his eyes water up but he can't help it- so many feelings are just cascading on him at being able to really feel something again. Although if he cried now he doesn't want to think of what he does when he gets over to the savannah area he spied when the doors first opened. "I can't believe this... I.... Thank you" his voice is still cracking a bit at trying not to be an emotional mess.

Padding in watching Talon, I also 'feel' the grass under paw, the movement of the air, and the heat of the 'sun' on my fur. I close my eyes and take it all in, nose in the air...
Opening my eyes as Talon says "thank you" and see the look in his eyes... This is so much more than I had hoped, and is still just the start...
"Please, go explore, and take your time. I'm going to go check out the cliff den."
I leave Talon there to experience it on his own, as it should be, and follow the narrow path on the cliff, at last coming to the rock outcropping, pausing to look out over the entire space. I blame it on the wind or something in my eyes, but I tear up thinking about the view from my den back on Earth, so similar to this that I almost expect my pack to be there.

Talon feels like the grass below him is fragile- like an illusion that at any second could shatter into a million pieces- yet even so he cant stop the desire to just lay down. He lays on the grass just feeling it and the breeze in his fur. He realizes that hes only really taken a step into this huge room but he feels like he could just live in this moment forever. he stretches out careful not to dig his claws into the grass.
He takes a few moments, which turn into a long half nap, to just lay and breath all this in before he gets back to his feet and looks around. His eyes lock onto the savanna. He heard the computer say there was something special for everyone right? He thinks about the thing that would be really special out there for him but shakes his head- there would be no way for the computer to know that. right? He takes a deep breath and starts to walk along the grass and heads to the savanna biome.

From my vantage point I sit and watch Talon, smiling. Eventually I rise and pad into the cave/den itself, It really is just a cave, cool and dark, but comforting just the same.
I pad back out and lay down on the outcropping and close my eyes, enjoying the warmth and the slight breeze. When I open them the 'sun' has moved across the 'sky' and I realize from this vantage I have a view of both the sunrise to my left and the sunset to my right... with enough room to turn facing either as needed.
Looking around I realize I have lost sight of Talon. Hopefully he is enjoying the garden.

Talon finally walks out into the dry grass of the savanna, The grass is still short and new looking but Talon can envision how tall it will get in time. As the dry blades brush by his leg he remembers being a young pup running around on all fours trying to sneak up on his mother. He'd crawl around hidden by the tall grass and jump out at the last moment only to be swooped up into his mothers embracing arms and playfully tossed around.
He wishes beyond anything that he had visited his old village before everyone had to leave the planet. Its a bit ironic that this is the first time in so many years that Talon has been in a place like his home land and yet in reality his home land is light years away.
He freezes when he sees a small structure beside a small water hole. His heart swells with so many emotions and without thinking he breaks into a run. Its a small dirt hut. Its not exactly like what his village had when he was little but its similar. He runs and slides to a stop outside the small hut. Hes almost afraid to go in. he touches the simple and loose fitting door remember all the nights he'd try to sneak home just to have the creaking of the loose door alert his mother to his lateness.
he very slowly walks in. The inside is empty as Talon expected and simply a place to sit out of the sun, Its also quite a bit smaller then their homes were. This is more of a small sitting area. But yet to Talon it might as well have been an exact replica because it still brought back so many memories of his mother and wrestling with his sisters. he sits along the dirt wall and on the dust dirt floor and closes his eyes. and just watches his memories.

As I lay on the outcropping watching the sun set I am amazed at how well it all turned out, even now it feels like a bit of reality in a living dream. Hesitantly I rise and stretch, then pad back down the trial as the light starts to fade.
Reaching the ground I look up at the cliff, then notice the faint twinkling of lights high above, the twilight sky begins to fill with stars as the final sunlight turns the clouds (yes, clouds!!) amazing colors, reds and oranges, streaks of purple, all slowly fading as the day cycle ends.
I don't want to leave, but after being here all day my stomach is telling me I have to go eat... I pad towards the still open doors, stopping just before crossing the threshold, and wait to see if Talon stays or leaves..
I only wishing more of the residents, my shipmates, had come for the unveiling. The doors will remain unlocked from now on though, and it is available to any who chose to venture in and find their 'place".
"Computer" I call out.
"Yes Resident?" it replies quietly.
"Two things, first, do you employ speak recognition?"
"Affirmative, you are resident 11877187..."
Great, just a number out of all those sent away. "From now on call me Naake ni please. Second, Thank you for helping make this possible, I hope you understand what it means."
"Understood, Naake ni, and you are welcome."
I am not sure the computer truly understands, or if it is just programmed to respond appropriately, but I nod, then sit to wait for Talon..

Talon feels like he's been sitting for an eternity, a wonderful eternity, but his stomach is not quite so happy. Talon had woken up specifically to come see all this and hasn't yet eaten. He sighs and finally stands up and dusts off his clothing. he smiles seeing the dusty dirt cling to his fur making his dark fur appear slightly lighter. He starts walking and looks towards the cave wondering if he should go there and see how Naake ni is enjoying the new area but to his surprise he sees naake ni sitting at the entrance.
Talon jogs to meet up with the wolf. "Hey," Talon says as he comes closer.

"Sees Talon jogging up, "Hey yourself.. wanna get something to eat? I've been here all day, and wish I could stay longer but my stomach is rumbling.."
gets up and turns to leave, stops and looks back over my shoulder at the garden... Shaking my head "It's real, a brand new world for us to explore and share.. It was mine, but it belongs to everyone now. "
Pads out heading for the dining room as I pad away my stomach rumbles again quite loudly.. "Yay, yay.. I know..."

"Yeah same, I'd still be out there but my stomach wont hear of it." Talon says following Naake ni. Talon chuckles at the sound of the wolfs stomach growling loudly.
The two walk through the empty halls and back to the cafeteria. It feels strange to Talon now- the cold metal look of everything after they were just in such a lush and wonderful place.
Talon still has so many thoughts about what to say and talk about with the garden but with so many thoughts all going on at once it makes it hard to think of what to say first. He hopes getting some food will help.

It's a quiet walk back up to the dining room... just thinking.. Talon seems to be deep in thought also, so I just walk on quietly

When talon reaches the dining room he looks around There are a few people here and there all doing their own thing. Playing games on their personal computers, reading, or just eating with their friends. He walks over to the food replicator and says "One rabbit steak and a fruit tea, cold." he orders then says. "I'll carry your tray to the table." he offers to Naake ni

"thank you.." turns to the replicator.. "Leg of beef, rare, salt and pepper only."
Pads over to the panel where my coffee pan is hidden and brings it back to an open table, pages the coffee bot to fill it.

Talon walks over to the table with the trays and sits down at the table as the little coffee bot scuttles over. "you really like your coffee dont'cha?"

"I got hooked on coffee back home. Met an OLD Shaman who would share his coffee with me when I was much younger. Over the years we shared a lot of coffee and he taught me what he could. Always told me I was a little different, He was a man with a wolf spirit, but that I was a wolf with a man spirit... Neither of us fit into our nature worlds, but kind of straddled the worlds of both. We drank a lot of coffee over the years."

[/size]gets a far away look, thinking back. "He died about 6 months before the round-up... I was taking care of some of his people when the round-up started, that's how I got separated from my pack." T_T

Talon listens with interest as he picks at his food. "That's terrible, to be separated like that, Is there any way you could contact the other ships to find which your pack is on?" Talon asks.

"Probably, but I know they are okay. My son took over as Alpha for me, as he was raised to do. My mate died a while back, I was away then too..."
Sadness... "but they will be fine. He learned well."

"that is good at least, you know they are safe." Talon does not know what to say but knows there is much sadness in losing one's family. "but I am sorry you've been separated from them."

At Espen's question I turn to Talon and smile...

Talon instantly says "a new garden has been built- I suggest you check it out. the first real plants any of us have seen for far to long." Smiling right back at Naake ni "Naake ni programed the computers to create an entire echo systems for all of us there."

"That sounds incredible! I'll go check it out!" Espen turns to walk away to head towards the gardens. "Now which way was that..." Espen spins back around to ask for directions. "I um... I have no idea where I'm going. Could you show me how to get there?"

Talon nods, "I'll show you around but first my stomach requires me to finish this." he says with a laugh "How about you join us for some food?"

Espen's stomach replies with a loud growl. "I think that's a yes!" he says, laughing along with Talon. "Thanks!"

I shift to the side (since I don't need a chair) to make room for Epsen, and eat my meal as politely as possible (for a wolf).
"It's amazing how many furson's there are on this tin can, it doesn't surprise me we haven't met before. Beside's, I haven't been the most approachable one onboard, and kept to myself for a long time. I finally realized we were each here for a reason, beyond the round-up and herding into the ships..."
Sips from the coffee pan before speaking again..
"I finally realized that my, um... , abilities may be of use, but I had to help myself first. Once I got my head on right things are better, and I overheard someone say they wished there was a real garden instead of just the holo-garden. It's too easy to let the mind be fooled even when the body is left out of the experience."
"I was having a walk-about and found a HUGE empty space and everything else just seemed to happen from there. I just hope it is well received... "
Finishes off the beef leg and the coffee, wipes out the coffee pan and puts it back in it's hiding place then excuse myself for the night.
"It's been nice to meet you, adn I hope to see you around more. Talon said he would show you were the Eco-garden is, and can explain a few things, I'm sure. If there is anything I can do you can message me on the ships comm system, or stop by my den. Have a good evening.."
Nods to Talon and Epsen, then turns to go to my den.

Espen eats slowly, grinning over at the wolf trying their best to be polite. "There sure are a lot of us on here, I feel like I might've seen your face around once or twice, but only in passing."
"I can't wait to see this garden, from what you both have said, it sounds like incredible technology!" Espen pauses for a bit, not wanting to come on too strong. "I uh, hope to see you around more often, I haven't exactly made any friends on board yet and well... it gets lonely some days."

"I believe the gardens will be very well received, and good night Naake ni." Talon says as the wolf walks away.
Once Talon finishes up his food he takes a moment to just relax and drink his tea. Today has been a long day. he still has so many thoughts about the garden. "What kind of biome do you like?" Talon asks Espen

Michen had been walking around trying to find an aquarium room, with no luck. They decided to give up and look at how the real garden was doing. The snow leopard had been very interested in that in the past, but it just slipped their mind during the searching. Whilst walking around on the ship back to their room, they ran into a... familiar face. It was the hyena of earlier, but this time he was talking with a lynx-like character. They appeared to be talking about the garden, so Michen stood still and tried to listen to the conversation.

"I've always enjoyed a warm, sunny biome. Tropical weather and such, I've never been a fan of the cold. How about you?" Espen heard someone approaching them and turned his head to spot Michen. "Oh, hi there!"

"Yeah about the same, I like dry warm places." talon says then looks over to Michen "Hey"

"Hi there," Michen responded back. Being not very well known with socialization, Michen hesistantly kept standing in th place they were now. They didn't want to interrupt the others during the conversation, and decided to keep listening from a distance instead.

"You can come over and join us if you'd like!" Espen said, gesturing Michen to come over and be a part of the conversation. "I think we were about to go see the gardens soon, would you like to join us?" Espen paused and looked back at Talon. "That is, if it's okay with you Talon?"

"of course, I'm actually quite surprised you didn't show up earlier." Talon says to Michen "There is real snow in the gardens."

Michen hesitated, but when they heard there would be real snow they seemed to brighten up. Wanting to see the real garden, they padded towards Fable. They wanted a real garden in this ship since... Well, since they arrived on this ship, really. The virtual garden was fairly well built, but they did make them feel more lonely after some time in fake snow.

We could head there now if everyone is ready?" Talon asks, he'll just carry his tea with him.

Michen nodded and looked towards Fable with a spark in their eye. The snow leopard seemed to be very excited to see the garden.

"Eew snow" Espen laughed. "You can enjoy that section, I'll stay where it's warm! Well, should we head over if everyone is ready?"

Talon nods and stands up and starts to walk through the large corridors occasionally sipping his drink and keeping a slow casual pace. "I think once more people visit the gardens it'll really start to be popular. It's so peaceful there." he says to the two following him.

Michen silently followed Talon at a steady pace. They were bursting from excitement, and they had to try their best not to run past them. After all, they weren't sure where the garden was even after searching on multiple floors of the ship.

"Peaceful is nice. Do you know why more people haven't seen the gardens, or heard of them for that matter? Is the ship really that big?" Espen kept pace with the others, occasionally glancing back at Michen bouncing along behind them.

Answers Epsen's question "The garden is brand new, just a few days old actually. It will have to grow and develop over time. It is in a huge hangar deck several levels below the dining room and other common areas, and yes, the ship is massive. I've spent several days exploring and still haven't seen it all, that's how I found the hangar deck that is now the garden.. "
As we turn the final corner the double set of double doors comes into view just ahead.
"I hope you find a place that speaks to you, remember all the plants were seed starts in the last couple of weeks. It could take years for it to mature... "
As we approach the doors open automatically revealing the expansive garden area.

Talon stands out of the way for the other two to have a full view of the gardens ahead of them.
"It'll be really amazing to see how the gardens change in time..." he can imagine how wonderful everything will look when it really has the chance to grow.

As the door opened, Michen was surprised by what they saw. The plants weren't very big yet, but that would change over the years. Especially noticeable was the waterfall, which Michen really didn't expect to see. Being both in awe and excited, the snow leopard carefully stepped inside to explore the area.

Talon smiled, positive that Michen would really enjoy the real garden. and for that most part, 'who wouldn't?' Talon thought to himself. having real plants and real fresh air for the first time in so long is amazing!

Michen looked around, and then noticed the snowy area of the garden. They were very happy that it was there, and it somehow felt nostalgic. It even felt as if the snowy area was pulling them towards it, as if it was mesmerizing them. Michen looked around to the other areas as well, but their eyes were pulled to the snow every time. "How did you do this?" Michen asked the feral wolf, without actually looking at him.

Lays down by door, still watching..
"Not totally sure, just had the idea and when working it out with the computer spec'd an area and something special for each on board."
Looks around at the garden, then back to Michen
"The computer took my input and did so much more than I thought was possible."

After hearing the feral wolf's answer, Michen nodded. Carefully they walked over to what seemed to be a miniature snow forest. As they got close, they felt how the air seemed to get cooler with each inch they walked. After going on slowly for a while, they suddenly heard a soft crunch. Michen lifted the paw they just put down and looked at the ground. They saw their own pawprint in the snow. Carefully they continued, even feeling their scarf was moving in the wind.
Michen sat down, almost feeling like this had to be a dream. Yet, they realised, it was not a dream. it just felt so surreal to sit down in real snow after walking around on carpet or on metal plates. It seemed impossible, almost unthinkable. Michen just couldn't understand it. They almost didn't care to know this. This was the best thing that happened since they got on this ship. This area finally made the snow leopard feel relaxed, instead of worrying themself sick like everyone was locked up in a giant biscuit tin.

Talon leans against the garden doorway watching the snow leopard walk away through the snow. He surveys the vast areas inside their giant garden with a faint smile. "Truely amazing," he comments to himself.

Quietly lays watching and smiling at Michen's reaction... this is why I did it... Not for me, but for everyone.
Turns to Talon "I hope the others find their way down here... This is for everyone..."

"They will. In time." Talon says with a nod. "It may just take them a while to come down and explore this. You said there was something special for everyone- may I ask what it created for you?" he asked the wolf

Michen was just wandering around the garden, trying to explore every bit of it. They were looking around in the rainforst-ish area, but Michen quickly went from there to the entrance. They were slightly panting because of the heat there. They were still amazed with how there were so many areas with different temperatures this close to each other.

Smiles at Michen as they return to the entry... "Hope you like it..."
Turns to Talon.. then points with a forepaw up at the cliff face. "The computer built a den with an overlook up on the cliff that I can see almost the whole garden from..." Looks a little embarrased..
"Did you each find your special places??

Talon nods "small homes in the savanna." he points in the general direction "just like the ones I grew up in." he knows full well he will be spending a lot of time in those tiny homes.

"I wondered what those little mounds were..!"
Shakes my head "there are so many surprises out there to be found... "

"Yeah, I really like the snowy forest. There even seems to be a gentle wind blowing throung the entire room, yet different parts of the garden have different temperatures," Michen said, and sat down. They thought for a while about what they saw here. "It's almost like magic... It seems neary impossible."

Talon nods in agreement "almost doesn't seem real- so used to holograms that finally seeing real living plants is like a dream."

Very happy wolf, laying here with a gleam in my eyes that has not been there since we boarded this tin can...

Michen looked at Talon. "That's not exactly what I meant... Usually climate differences like in this room are very hard if not impossible to achieve, if not impossible if you don't use barriers of some kind," Michen said. After that, they appeared to get lost in thought once more.

"I wonder how the computer did it then... I don't understand much about computers," he says with a shrug returning his gaze to the garden.

Naake replies "When I was working with the computer it was describing using a very faint force field to act as a permeable barrier between the different zones, it lets the air currents move and the temps to blend naturally while maintaining the zones as individual 'regions'"
shakes head "I don't pretend too understand it all, just told the computer what I hoped to do and asked for options to make it work... I did notice there was a slight physical resistance when moving from one area into another, not something that would be noticed normally, almost like walking into a moderate wind at the beach."
Looks toward the main computer interface, all areas show green "I did make sure it would not put any unusual stress on the ships systems..."

"Yeah it probably wouldn't be a good idea to stress the ship too much" Talon says wondering what would happen if they did have some sort of power trouble on the ship.... do the bots know how to fix the ship?

"the computer and the various service bots will maintain the garden along with the rest of the ship. While planning I found out there s a reserve unit of bots in storage that can be programmed for whatever position they are needed to fill, and that the ships systems were built heavily redundant to ensure our safety. I wouldn't have done this if I wasn't sure that it was safe."
Gets up and pads out into the garden, suddenly breaking into a full run towards the Arctic area.. have a sudden urge to play in the snow..

Talon watches Naake Ni race off. Talon would follow but cold is soooooooooo not his thing. "see you around" he says to michen as he walks back towards the savanna area

Michen watched Talon and Naake Ni go towards their own favourite areas. The snow leopard then decided they might as well explore the rest of the area they hadn't seen yet since they were busy with that anyways. Whilst looking around, they noticed the waterfall and walked towards the lake.
