Title: Burden of Heroes (Closed)
Post by: Cloud_Silva on January 23, 2017, 05:58:14 AM
As expected, my two previous rp's didn't work. At all. Now I know they weren't good ideas and I can move on~ ^^

This rp is one I did a long time ago on a different website and I think it did fairly well, so why not reboot it here. Find the companion thread for rules, info, and character sheets!

In the world of of Orilia, both man and fur lived together in peace. These two races roamed the planet hand in hand for centuries, since the dark age of dragons and monsters to the holy age of celebrations and festivals. When demons and hellish beasts bore its teeth towards one, they'd both come down hard on the enemy. All it took one day was a powerful dragon to get past their defences and smite the human king. Immediately the humans blamed the furs for being to weak and purposely allowing it to happen. The dragon escaped and went into hiding, and the humans made multiple attempts on the fur King's life. None were successful. Soon, the humans decided to lay siege upon the citizens, in hopes of crushing the King's morale. After enslaving multiple lives and slaughtering countless more, the fur King had enough. He ordered all remaining citizens to go into hiding in small settlements scattered throughout the world. That was the last the humans had ever seen of the furs in many more centuries. Until now, when a small parcel was picked up by a little girl just outside her settlement. Upon taking it to her mother, her mother read it and immediately sent it to the current king. The humans had required help fending off a massive demon attack. The king, however, had believed the humans had what was coming to them, and left them to fend for themselves. Countless lives were lost and enslaved, and the total population of humans shrunk to half. Even with half their population however, the human population was still more than eight times the size of what was left of the furs. A few more years passed, and the humans hated the furs even more. However, now the furs were gifted with a gracious king, one that seeked to right the wrongs that both sides had committed. He only needed to figure out how.

Razuel woke up one morning to the sounds of chirping Bluejays, to which one came in through his window and sat on his chest, so he brought a hand up and pet it gently before it flew away.

Razuel lived in an old looking tower, when in fact everything inside his home was new and reinforced, but currently he had no food, so today was when he would have to trek into town and try out his new Polymorphing spell.

He got ready to go and wrapped his wings around himself, and with a spark of light, Raz looked like a human counterpart of himself. The woodland critters could see through his guise, but no bipedal creatures could... he made sure of that in the spell.

Within moments, hade his way to the main road and towards the gates, "Good morrow, gentlemen!", they both grunted, "We're ladies...", Raz soon corrected himself, "Ah! Yes! Sorry about that, ladies... is there entry into the city right now, what with all that stuff going on..", they looked at each other and moved aside to let Raz in.

To any good willed anthros around, they'd see Raz for who he is.

Carl was up and early in the morning so he could enjoy his potato stew without having the young ones messing with him or steal when he's not looking. But of course this meal was cooked with haste and wasn't the best. Though that didn't really matter as when you have a empty belly, dirt tastes like a royal banquet. But besides his breakfast, he washed his own bowl in the basic kitchen so nobody had to burdened with one more thing. And set off to his part of the garden, the radishes. Those babies where his pride and joy.. well other then good old Bess. But she was taking a nice nap in a mud puddle as Carl grabbed a gardening hoe and glanced at his radishes.

Being quite happy to see that they are growing strong with bright fresh leafs, but are darker in color for lacking the nice fresh top soil they need. But, I mean after all what are they really going to do about it. But he could hear the shouting of one of those way too strict slave owners barking at him to get to work. And so useing the tool, he was plucking out the ripe-ish radishes and plopping them in a basic weave basket and slipped one for Bess before heading off to the kitchen,While the wart hog smelled the sweet veggie and snacked it down quickly in delight.

"I wish I could be a human... and finally get a farm of me own.. I'll have there ol patatas or coo-combers " He said while getting out of the kitchen to get back to his farm and plant new seeds...

Rick sat on the side of the road, hiding among the trees that lined it. He was leaning against a tree, however it was a low-hanging pine tree, so he was well hidden

He was waiting for any humans to come by, preferably trade wagons, as they were common down this route, and held lots of valuable items, but more importantly, their supplies. Human food was undoubtedly the best, and bringing it back would make everyone at home smile

It was early in the morning when Cloud began to wake up. The sun had somehow broken through the shades he had over his windows, and it ate away at the comforting darkness that held his sleep. A bit irked at the sudden brightness in his eyes and even more annoyed that someone opened his curtains, Cloud grumbled and stood up from his bed. Making his way over to the window and closing them, he smiled as the normal, darker version of his room returned. He had always loved his sleep, and was never one to be afraid of the dark in his room seeing as it's his own little sanctuary.

Once Cloud was dressed in his normal attire of a black royal garbs and robes, he made his way down to the main hall to greet the court. Despite his fondness of the colour black and his comfort in the dark, he was no emo or rebellious one. In fact, he brought joy to many of the folks around him. As he made his way into the main hall, all of the dukes and bishops and other higher ups had risen to greet him. "There's no need to be so formal to a prince as you are to the king, I'm no king yet" he spoke to them all as they all nodded and replied "Yes Prince Silva". As they sat, so did Cloud. "My lord" "Not a lord yet" "Ah...my apologies, my prince. My Prince, word of your kindness and good deeds have spread far, you're known by nearly every major encampment. Some are beginning to believe that you may the one to connect both fur and humans together again, so does your father. Your father seems to believe most though, but as a test of good faith and skill, he wants you to free the slaves in a nearby farm encampment. Do this, and your father will send you on your way to the great capital to meet with the high king and make peace once more. What say you?" spoke one of the hall attendants. As Cloud thought for a moment, a small smirk spread across his maw. "I'd be honored" he replied. "Excellent, though this is just a farm, we can't have you getting captured or killed, so we're going to send word out for two or three men to come along and protect you. We'll also send word out to smaller settlements to let them know your approximate time of departure so that you may not be robbed by them. Good luck, my liege" the attendant spoke again. Cloud nodded and got up to leave the room, as he did, he wondered what type of camp he would be liberating. He had seen and liberated a few before, which in turn must have spread his good image around. He couldn't stop thinking about it until he got back to his room. Quickly, he got changed into more casual attire, and layed on his bed. "I bet it's tonight" he muttered, before falling into a nap.

Raz walked in and was fairly calm, despite the tension as of recent, he slowly made his way to an old building and upon entering, he was greeted by a human, "Sir, you can- wait...", Raz closed and locked the door behind him and then let down his veil, "Nice to see you too, James... Anything new?", James was quite astonished by this as a dragon was able to get by the gate, even with Raz's own thick campfire smell, "What? How!... I thought that scroll was a dud!", "It was... but there was one letter in it that was scratched out... it took me at least a week to get it right... luckily I had a few restoration potions... anyway, I need your help...", James shook his head, "I'm not helping you get back into the wizard tower, Raz... they all respect you, but even they know that they'd be in trouble if you entered the palace...", Raz nodded, "Well... how about some food... :( I've been having rabbit stew for quite some time and I'm sick of it...", James sighed, "Fine fine... go sit at the table... but please, put that spell back up... there's supposed to be a house searching in this section today... ever since a little rabbit girl wandered into an armory.", "Is she alright?", "He, actually... well... they insisted that they were male... their body clearly told otherwise... anyway, he or she, is already gone to her home... Here's your food... it's a bit of leftovers from my dinner last night....", Raz quickly ate and then went to the door, "W-wait, where are you going!?", "To storage house in the east-end...", and before James could get anything to Raz, he was already gone, (Still James) "Goddammit, Razuel... well... he does have fire... and dragon's hide is pretty strong... whatever, I'll here the flat-foots hutting by when Raz gets noticed..."

Razuel is currently making his way from West-end to East-end.

Carl was having i pretty simple and nice , being that wasn't beaten being his older age and not doing anything stupid. Though tending to those purple seeds, he was carefully scooping up the dirt with his paws and butting one seed every four inches. Thoug this was taking all of time on his knees. More so just hunche over as he was making wok of his back. But this was rather nice compared to trying to pluck Cotten or even more so get firewood. But you know everything wasn't all bad, sure he didn't have the land or more so nice feel of truly owning something. But it's better then being hacked down like the rumors he heard from the others. But getting up though, he could hear the voice of the big ol fat man. Funny thing is though, that human would make the sloppiness of a pig look fancy.

"CARL! It's your turn to get to the core rocks and get to mining!" He ordered while having some spit fly out, of course. Carl got to his feet and was moving up over to the tool shed where a few other anthros where in a line to be handed some cheap end picaxes or buckets. So he had to stand in the wam sun making him awefully thirsty, but he had to walk all the way to the kitchen. But it's closed for this time of day and so he'll have to wait until way later. And as soon as it as his turn to get a tool, he could hear that mean fat man, yelling at a child of tripping while carrying some fruit.

Worse yet just making the poor pocipine cry, and by far it was sad.. but what was worse I had to turn my head away unless I want the hammer down on me hard. So getting my pick, I jogged over to the rock piles and started swinging in hopes to find some fresh ore or maybe something more...

Rick had decided to stop waiting, the thought of food and fortune had faded, so he decided to walk through the woods

He stumbled across an unfamiliar route, which lead to a huge farm being worked by slaves. He was attracted by the  familiar sound of tool hitting rock, he snuck through the farm to get a closer look.

He saw an old squirrel, which made him upset, as he'd probably been working year after year without break, he decided to wait a little longer, scouting the place out, unfortunately, his ability to hide was not great, he was crouching down nearby in plain sight, they probably thought he was a slave if they saw him

As Cloud lay there napping, he awoke to the sound of some knocking on the door. Quickly he got up to open his bedroom door. Immediately he was greeted by one of the dukes and two strong looking men. "Good evening prince Silva, we have the two men that will be escorting you to the farm. Also, due to the large amount of activity during the day, this had to be a night operation" the Duke said. Cloud made a small smirk and muttered "called it". "I'm sure you did sir. Now, it's important to know that if you're spotted, there is a high chance they'll shoot you on the spot, or if they have a traitor fur with them, they may capture you with knowledge of you being the prince. So don't. Get. Caught" the Duke warned. Yawning, Cloud nodded his head and spoke. "Have you gotten word out to everyone?". The Duke grinned with pride. "Already done sire, all mages within this half of the planet should have recieved a message saying to steer clear of your operation. Everyone else shall receive the news through woodland birds. You'll be totally covered for the journey sir. Now get some rest"

However, Raz had missed the memo, be it he glanced over the paper amongst his own, or he left too early for the bird.

Meanwhile, Raz had made it to that warehouse by keeping to the roofs and upon reaching the warehouse, he saw a new batch of slaves being brought inside, and this was the perfect time for him to try and liberate them all, human and anthro alike... Raz knew about this years before, but was silenced by the guards before , not all, but the more powerful ones.

He scanned the building for an exit point, and entry besides the front door.  He spotted a section where the warehouse and city wall meet, and that was his exit... he also found a square wooden roof door for an entry, so that was his entry... but how does he orchestrate a way to get them all out.  Possibly a diversion... A tip! That's what would do it... and luckily for coincidence, Raz appeared to be dressed like one of the higher wizards that live within the castle tower... but he'd have to quick about it...

Raz undid his disguise for a minute and shot a fireball at a rotten cabbage cart and it exploded in an instant, \and the owner of the cart exclaimed in despair, "My cabbages!!"  (https://youtu.be/rGQS524jc4M?t=16)
and the guards infront and beside went to the man that was now crying as to put out the fire that had now begun, "Not as subtle as I'd hope... but that'll do... Now for inside", Raz muttered to himself and he went to the roof door and went inside, thus then observing the inside and the guards within, "Wizard, wizard, witch, beggar, beggar, guard, guard, guard with spear, guard with sword, guard with... a fish?... no... that's a flail... huh...", he whispered to himself, and only the slaves directly below him would've been able to hear him.

Carl was plucking away at the rock while he made a crack though it seemed just to be more stone. A bit disappointed, but heck it was what he was used to at this point though something seemed off. Like eyes where staring at him. And so he was taking just a little break to stare off into the woods and did spot someone and was going to shout at them to go, being that he must be a run away. When I was about to let myself speak I heard a buddy of mine shout. "My Cabbages!" Followed by a big boom and smoke, so turning around I could tell we have been attacked. Though what would want to attack us? Only if they where really desperate maybe, though to start burning things seem rather foolish. But he wasn't going to stand around to be the next one and hurried off dropping his pick axe. Bring that if anyone he is going to worry about , it's got to be his child Bess. "Old Bess! Where did you go girl? Bess!" Carl called out as the sturdy wart hog came grumbling to him while he clapped his paws and then hobbled off to the sleeping quarters. "Alright old girl come here." He ordered while the hog was running to him...

So once both of them where inside, Carl put Bess behind him and looked around as he grabbed a pitch fork someone left behind and held it like a spear as he was prepared to fight unless it was another slave or slave owner. And was taking some breaths to calm his nerves as he felt his heart pound out of fear. Though now he was wondering if that run away slave had anything to do with it. And so he waited as he heard some racket going on and then watched the door carefully with a grip on his make shift spear.

Rick went over to the squirrel as he looked away, sitting on the rock he was swinging at, trying to get his attention

"Hello?" He said curiously in an upbeat tone, crossing his legs whilst sat on the rock

As the message went around, the kingdom in which the furs resided stayed in it's calm, peaceful state. The major human city however, was in a panic. Word of a raid on a slave transport traveled quickly around the city and into the crown. Once the higher ups heard of the attack, they immediately set to work on figuring out who was to blame. The Queen's right hand man had went around to all the guards to get info on the attackers. They all replied with "No human is stupid enough to attack a slave transport in the middle of the city, it has to have been our enemies". The right hand couldn't agree more and quickly confronted the Queen. "My lady, we have an idea on who was attacking, but it's no surprise. I believe it's time to hit them where it hurts. Tonight, I believe we should use our overwhelming force to attack their biggest settlement. My lady, if we can take down the royal family, they will lose all of their morale and will be powerless to fight back. They will fall into chaos". The Queen could only smile deviously as she listened. "Very well. Tonight we will destroy them. Do you know of the location of such a settlement?" she asked. The man nodded slightly and replied. "Not one hundred percent. Though we do know the basic area. If they don't find it immediately, it won't take more than an hour to do so. However, I suggest we send in something much stealthier than catapults and warriors. May I suggest hiring a small army of assassins? They will be top of their class and will be in and out quick. They won't know what hit them". Taking this into consideration, the Queen nodded. "Get them hired and have them ready to go immediately, we strike as soon as the sun sets. For now, go deal with that raid. You are dismissed". He nodded "Yes, my Queen".

With the guards busy, Raz took optimal opportunity to initiate his plan, and with that, he gracefully floated down with no noise at all, and looked at the slaves around him, signaling them to be quiet, and as 2 guards turned around, he shot two yellow beams of direct light at them, and they passed out.

Raz watched them fall, and looked around, and spoke in a soft manner, quiet enough for those outside to not be able to hear a peep, "Everyone, listen... there's a corner of this place that touches the outer wall of this city... I can provide refuge at my home if you trust me and follow me... if not, then stay here... stay here and be auctioned off for food or other displeasurable deeds..." and with that, Raz hopped up onto the rafters and soon dropped down by a corner and as he placed his hands on the stone wall, it started to swirl and morph as though it had returned to clay, until it became a clear hole, "Run! Run now! I can only hold this for so long...", waves and waves of slaves started to rush out of the building to the outer area of the walls and right into a brush.

Struggling could be seen clearly on Raz's face as he continued to hold this doorway open for thousands of slaves, and he soon looked back at Carl, with beads of sweat falling down his face, "What are you doing! Run already!!", and at that, the doors opened at the entrance of the barn and guards yelled things at Raz, but before they could run in, he shot a fireball at the roof of the warehouse over by the entrance, collapsing on those guards and slowing them down for quite a while.

The exit was slowly starting to close, and aside from a few elderly, Carl was the only one left, "RUN!"

Raz had become much more tired from the fireball, but was struggling immensely to keep the hole open.

If any were familiar with the Castle's Grand Wizards, then they'd notice that Raz is, or rather, was one before the war.

Carl was in fear as he moved to see a rather swave dragon and was letting the slaves run out. Though as it was clear, the squrriel was but too fearful to make his move and now is trapped. Trapped like a fat rat ready to amuse the nobles. So the elder was gently petting his hog in hopes to put Bess at ease. And though he looked around for that odd mistaked slave. But couldn't get much sight due to the crushed buildings and now frantic guards. Though before the old squrriel had time to think clearly if at all, his hog saw freedom and ran like the wind. Suprising way faster then she has before, as if she knew that her owner needed her. And so Carl was fallowing his pet went quickly into the now open gap as he pain on the dragons face was clear to the both of them, he wasn't going to last long. And so the both of they where inside now and making there way with the far larger group of slaves. Though now after the both of them where in somewhat of the safe zone, Carl was looking back at the dragon. As if questions had been swarming in his head. Though that time will come later as Carl kept his hog moving...

Rick came out and observed the mass liberation of the slaves, feeling chuffed that these people were now free.

He waited for the guards to come out, the big, heavily armed ones, which had big, expensive weapons that would sell for a lot.

He saw one out of the corner of his eye, he couldn't make him out behind the armor, but he was obviously human.

Sierra was called in to help deal with the slave issue as a slave liberation of this scale was pretty hard for the city guard to handle alone. However it was because of events like this that Sierra was going into early retirement. She hated the very idea of slavery and if she had a choice she would gladly ignore this rebellion entirely.

Ever since the war ended Sierra has had very little to do and has been called in to handle similar situations like this one that she would rather let the guards handle. She was a paladin, a knight of her holy order and beacon of hope to those in need. She was not a simple guard but the kingdom has lacked any other use for her order.

So as Sierra knocked out slaves left and right trying to get them under control without killing anyone she saw one on the was using magic to hold the door open.
"How far that wizard has fallen...Such a pity." Sierra thought to herself as she dodged through the falling rafters and past the elderly slave till she was face to face with Raz.
"You courage is admirable...i'm sorry I have to do this." She took the flat end of her longsword and bashed it against the side of Raz's head.

Raz was holding the passage open, and although most of the slaves had escaped, it was the elderly that were hit and fell unconscious.  This made Raz extremely annoyed,  but just as the last concious slave escaped, he was hit by the sword and before passing out not from the blade, but from his own physical exhaustion, he looked at Sierra and said something quietly, "Your mother would be disappointed.... but I for... give... you..."

Carl was a bit scared by a giant metal something zoomed past him, and looking back he could tell that it was one of those high order knights he heard when he was little. To see one in person was quite a awe to him. Though being that this one attacked the spell slinger. That is quite a frightful presence to be had, though he looked around and noticed the knight wasn't a friendly bunch. Though realized he still had that pitch fork in his paws and held it while placing a foot down. "Hey , you young trouble maker! Is that how you treat a wise man!" He shouted while a odd feeling was crawling down his back as Bess watched but kept her distance.

Rick, taking no notice of any of the escaping slaves decided to run the opposite way from the horde and towards the knights.

This way he could take two birds with one stone, hold them back while getting first grabs on any valuables.

He swung at one with a fist looking like a puffed pillow, aiming to smash his face into the floor. This was easy, it had become second nature to him

Sierra sighs as she did not take pleasure in this at all. It felt horribly wrong. She hears the man call to her and turns to him a serious look on her face.
"I have orders to quell these slaves before they escape." Sierra says looking down at the pitch fork. Such a weapon was not refined enough to do much more then simply scratch her armor and Sierra doubted he could get a lucky stab.
"Best put that away, wouldn't want someone getting hurt." She kneeled before Raz and put a glowing hand on him, healing him of his injuries and making him stable.
"You poor thing..." Sierra whispers. She felt horrible and the words this wise man said her stung...She needed to make this right.

Raz seemed to pull through slightly, and had begun to get back up, his hand still resting on the wall, and when Sierra was distracted, Raz slowly got up and attempted to limp through the hole in the wall to leave, "Do something right and don't stay here... You know... I used to be one of the grand mages... until the city threw me out...", he said in  a raspy voice that was also quite tired.

Carl wasn't ok sure what he should be doing, but seeing that if he did something rash. It would most likely not end well for anyone for sure. So he loosen his grip on the pitchfork, and took a step back being that he is free. So there is not need to force himself into a bad position. And so moving back he was starting to lead Bess away and hoped the best for the mage. While feeling his skin crawl on his back, but it was better then getting between a rock and a had place...

Sierra watches the dragon go and looks rather conflicted as to what to do. On the one hand she has orders to quell the slaves, but on the other hand slaves are wrong and shouldn't even be allowed in her opinion. After a little bit of thinking she says.
"...screw it."
Sierra starts going around to the elderly slaves and giving them healing so they have the energy to get going. After that she starts to rush to whatever mechanism holds the door open and tries to jam it so that they stay open.
"I'm may get in serious trouble for this...but i'm not going to the be the kingdom's lap dog for the rest of my life." She says and starts encouraging the slaves to hurry up.

Raz looked back at Sierra and walked back to the wall and forced the hole to stay open permanently, and then he wandered back into the woods with the rest of the slave to lead them to his home, but stopped just before the treeline, "Miss! Hurry! They'll be coming soon!!", Raz watched the hole, waiting for Sierra, but as he waited, he clutched his side as a purple tear appeared on his side, and this caused him to fall back into a bush, clutching his side, "Gah!", slaves stopped and looked back at him and Raz simply said, "GO!!"

To help disguise himself, Raz caused the illusion across his body again  in case he was spotted, but anthros would see him for who he is, but see the illusion too.

Carl was well on the move when he could see that there was one problem with him being somewhat free now.. he doesn't know what he is gonna do once this madness is all over. And was going to make it to the front the pack, but felt Bess bumping his leg. "What's wrong old girl, we need to move." But she squealed as Carl looked back to see the dragon. Who was his eyes wasn't looking too good and then lightly jogged over there to try to place his arm over Carl's shoulder. Being that he wasn't juts going to leave his savior behind without a final thanks.

Sierra is bringing up the rear of the slave rushing making sure no one lagged to far behind. It wasn't long till she noticed Raz and Carl, cursing to herself as they were going pretty slow.
"You there keep running, i can carry take care of this one." Sierra says to Carl as she puts away her long sword away and starts to help lift Raz up.

"Your going to be alright, i can't give you much now but i will try to heal you more as we go." Sierra says trying to get these two moving as fast as she could, as the guards were not to far away.

Raz looked up at Sierra, a smile on his face, but that disappeared as he clutched his side, "Sierra... that's your name... hah... right?... anyway, I fear that I'm going to pass out soon... my home... my tower... just keep forward and you'll get there... it's protected by a veil and two golems... they will let us pass...   when you get to my home, there's a blue...", Raz's pupils shrunk for a moment, "A blue... hhhhh...", Raz's body then went limp and he passed out from the magical sore that had developed on him.

In the distance, two of the most laziest guards came to the entrance of the forest and they looked at each other, "I won't tell if you don't...", the other nodded and they both went into the hole and into the Slave area and knocked each other out.

Carl let go being that the big strong knight has the mage and wasn't going to fight it. "Alright then,  whew... my old age is catching up I say.. I'm gonna keep moving though me and Bess will take it a bit easy." He said while moving back to his hog as they where trying to catch up with the rest of the slaves, though he could remember the times he was young. And it all seemed like yesterday when all this mess had happened. And with that memory and one last look at the castle and the place his has settled for home. A tear traveled down his face and didn't look back.

Rick, in the distance let off a quiet giggling as the ran towards where the slaves were holding a huge sack, which was clearly filled with stolen goods such as weapons, armor and barrels of ale, needless to say, to go here had been a good call, to steal from the Knights would earn him some good coin, and maybe one day he'd be respected as he was once before.

He put away his troubling thoughts and ended up outrunning many of the older, slower slaves.

Sierra nodded to the wizard and put a glowing hand to his magical sore to try to heal it up a little, though it wasn't much considering she was focused on making it to the tower. Sierra took one last look at the castle and couldn't but feel something was wrong here...but she shook it off and kept going.

Sierra made it as far away from the castle as she could but her armor made running very strenuous on her body, so she had to stop and take a break to regain her stamina. Sierra put the wizard down and made sure he was comfortable and made sure they were out of sight as she starts removing her armor.

"My Queen, it is time" the queen's right hand man said. "The assassin's were informed of the general location, briefed on what to do, and sent on their way. They should arrive and the deed will be done within the next few hours" the man said with a sneer. The Queen couldn't help but grin in spite of herself. "I want that damned kings head on my mantle by tomorrow, tonight, their kingdom falls. You've done good, go take a night on the town" she said to the man. The man nodded, turned, and took his leave. As the assassin's traveled along the path, they all passed by a large abandoned looking tower. None of the assassin's paid it any mind however, for their prize would be much more rewarding than anything the tower could provide them.

2 sets of dense footsteps came close as Raz and Sierra came closer to a broken wooden mailbox.Suddenly, a gangly red oak leg stepped over the trail of former slaves and watched them pass, until the other Guardian, a fat bulbous one, kneeled down beside the trail and he perked up at when it saw it's master, then the red oak ent saw Raz, and it spoke in a British voice, "Master... You, madam, climb into my hands, I will get you to my master's tower.", the ent bent down and placed it's hands in the ground with a bowl shaping of their hands upwards.

The fatter one sensed evil in the area, the assassins, so it decided to go after it before the ent stopped him, "I sense it too... but we need to protect these people... then the master will tell us...", the golem grunted and walked along the former slaves.

Rick kept running, his sack making loud clinky noises from all the metal equipment inside, he glanced over at Sierra with awe, he had never seen such good looking armor.

He ran to match the paladin's pace and edged in closer and stopped in front of her

"Greetings" He said with energy, his huge bag of stolen goods sagging over his shoulder

Sierra was just about to take her armor off when Rick walks up to her. She looks him up and down, noticing the bag full of stolen goods, that probably clanked with sound of armor and weapons. Sierra has seen Rick's kind before as she was not some fool knight and put a hand on her longsword.
"I think it's best you keep moving, lest you want to start something." Sierra says moving over to keep Rick well away from Raz should he try to steal from him.

As the assassin's closed in on their destination, they all began planning. They determined that a third of them would all go into the main building and smite the royal family, while the rest plundered the city looking for anything valuable. Soon, they reached their destination. "We should wait until the moon is higher up, brothers" one of them suggested. With all of them nodding their heads in agreement, they decided to wait for one hour.

The ent looked down at Rick, "Excuse me, cretin, but I'd very much appreciate it if you would leave the lady, and all these other people alone.", Raz suddenly woke up and started twitching and coughing violently, he looked up at Sierra, "Wh-where are we...?", the ent looked at his master, "Oh dear... Madam, please, climb into my hands, we must get my master to his tower! Quickly!", Raz then tried to get up from Sierra's arms, despite him showing that he was in so much pain, "N-no... S-something's n-not right... I-I must g.... g... go... ahhh...", Raz then passed out again, his human illusion fizzling and dissipating to reveal his bare body and his glowing soulstone in his chest, "Master!! M-madam! Please!", the ent cupped his hands again, extremely eager to go to Raz's tower.

Carl was walking with the group of slaves as it seemed that most of the furs where becoming like scared cattle. Then more so, some where starting to blame the others for the whole day. And of course there was the one guy crying over his cabbages. While Carl was in some deep thought that now they where involved in something way bigger then expected. "Bess, old girl... I think we got our hands full of moldy dirt and old seeds." He told his hog as she seemed to nod in agreement with him. Though the golem was a frightful presence to the old squirrel, manly since he has never seen anything like it and the unknown crawls down his back like frosty ice. But kept his head low and hoped this nightmare of a day would just end....

Rick looking rather annoyed, dropped his sack. It made a loud clunk as it hit the ground.

"Who's a cretin!?" He said, pointing to the ent "Hey, did you just call me a cretin?!"

He clenched his fists "You aren't getting away with calling me a cretin!". He cracked his knuckles, obviously trying to pick a fight "You damned tree"
