Description:At the edge of Northgate, a city known for its majestic mountains and alarming occurrences of supernatural activity, lies the Fur Apartments. Free spacious living spaces, unlimited food to satisfy anyone's taste, and many recreational activities to spend your free time. Don't mind the “abnormal” happenings about — You'll get used to it! Our community accepts those from all walks of life; no matter if you're a regular fur, demonic, angelic, or any other extraordinary being, you'll find yourself at home!

RULES
-No god-modding. Powers will be carefully watched; Anyone who grows too powerful will be either nerfed, or be asked to leave the RP.
-Max 3 Characters per person (Exceptions can be made via PM)
-ALL characters must be sent to one of the GMs and accepted before being allowed in.
-No “sensing” things you have not directly seen unless you are in close proximity (EG whilst in the living room you can't see that someone just jumped into the pool)
-Serious injuries (losing a limb) can not be healed instantly.
-Death is death. If you die, you will not be able to come back unless you state otherwise in OOC
-Pick fight locations accordingly. Duels are fine, but intense battles should be taken outside the building. If you want only certain characters involved, take it off the property.

- Everything has been reset since the previous version! Nobody knows each other even if you do in another thread.
- The thread runs in accordance to GMT 0, meaning that if it's midnight in the uk, it's midnight in the RP.
- Use common sense, you can't just teleport between places! Sometimes it may take a post or two to get to where you need to go.
- Try not to powerplay! Instead of.. "*Wolf1 slaps Wolf2*" try "*Wolf1 goes to slap Wolf2*"

*Zarco unlocks the doors to the apartments for the first time! He smiles to himself and lets out a quiet sigh*
I feel like it's going to go well, we will have to wait and see though.

A robed figure arrives near the entrance, a perceptive fur would just about see the green scaled hands extending from the robes. The figure approaches the door to the apartments. Glancing around for anyone else who might be there. The figure was very cautious, almost as if paranoid.

*Zarco was just about to return inside, he took another glance down the path and noticed the robed figure. He decided to stay standing in the doorway, he will wait for them to get closer before talking. He looked mostly relaxed for the time being, as if he were used to being around mages.*

The figure spots Zarco, and relaxes slightly, they approach Zarco quickly, but not aggressively. Peering out of the hood, a pair of snake eyes looked out, the face mostly hidden under the hood. "You must be Zarco." The figure says.

*Zarco was thinking about being more upbeat about welcoming the figure, but he figured he would try to be more mutual to try to earn some respect. After all, the first 30 seconds of seeing someone leaves the biggest impression.*

*He maintained a neutral pose and stepped to the side, holding the door open for you.*

The snake nods, moving inside. "Thank you, It is hard to find a proper place to live these days." She glances around just inside, taking in everything. "I should probably introduce myself, my name is Grunan, I am new to the area."

*Zarco nods a little and smiles to you*
Yeah, I figured it would be a good idea to set up this place to help people out.
I'm assuming you've already heard of me then, I may as well introduce myself either way.
I'm Zarco Night, I've lived in this area for.. ..Quite some time.

"I hear this place is... interesting. I hear a lot of strange stories about the area. Its part of why I had to come here." She glances back, removing her hood to reveal her face. Green scales on one side, blackened and charred scales on the other. "Anyone else here?" She asks.

Not as of yet. I only just re-opened the place maybe 5 minutes ago..?
Yeah, things tend to get a bit strange around here. There can be quite a few magic users from all walks of life. I'll generally try to enforce peace but it's important to be perceptive.
Either way, feel free to choose any room that you like upstairs.. I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Grunan nods. "Thank you." she moves for the stairs. It was time to get herself set up here.

*Zarco closes the door and watches as she leaves, he shrugs a little and decided to go into the kitchen for now.*
<quietly> She looks dangerous.. Though, I've seen worse before. It's best not to judge a book by it's cover.
*He opens the fridge and rummages though it for a bit.*

Tired, have been padding along alternating between a lope and walking for several days, not sure why, but have a feeling I need to be someplace soon.
I break over a hill and see a complex that draws me towards it, following that inner guide I cautiously approach what appears to be the main building, using brush and shadows to mask my approach until I have no choice but to step out into the open grounds near a pool a bit away from the largest building.
As I enter the yard the breeze catches the feather dangle in my left ear and it flutters, the motion reminds me of who I am and what I seek.

*Zarco eventually just closed the fridge and shrugged, He wasn't even really feeling that hungry in the first place.*
*He decided to walk back to the main lobby and glance around for a few moments to see if anyone else was on the way, he hadn't seen the feral wolf as of yet.*

I pad around the perimeter of the main building sniffing and feeling the energies of the place. As I approach what appears to be the front door I am drawn to enter, even though it is not something I would normally do.
I pad to the door and take the handle in my teeth (hmmm.. some interesting energy has touched the handle before...), and open the door, passing thru and quickly taking in details about the interior.
I see only one other in what seems to be the main area or lobby of a residential complex. Standing quietly I clear my throat to announce my presence, unsure if those such as I are allowed...

*Zarco was about to go into the front room as he noticed the feral wolf opening the door, he turned around and tilted his head a little*
Evening..? Are you able to speak?
..If so, welcome! You could have asked for help you know..
*He was currently just standing in front of the doorway to the living room and was standing with a fairly neutral pose, you could see a feint blue glow from his eyes..*

"Woof, woof, bark..." Wags tail wildy.
Starts laughing loudly, "Sorry, lame attempt at humor.. yes, I can talk, and thank you for the welcome. I have just gotten use to doing for myself, not many seem eager to help one like me."
Pads in towards the wolf-ish one casually, looking around at the area. "What is this place, if I may ask?

*He giggled as you started talking!*
You had me there for a moment..!
Ah yes, welcome to the apartments. I built this place to allow people from all walks of life to live and settle down. Hey, you may end up meeting new people you like.

"Really?" pads away a little, looking around in admiration. "It is a very nice place, for indoors."
Turns back and stands tall.
"I am Naake ni, I was drawn here, why I don't know, but have to follow where I am lead. Would it be possible to acquire a den if you have any available? It has been a long trip, and I am am tired. I would be willing to exchange work for room and board though."

I know what it's like to go on long adventures, I've been around a bit recently.

A white wolf in a green hoodie, red t-shirt and faded, baggy jeans steps up onto the curb in front of the large, five story apartment complex. A look of confusion on his face, looking more than a little lost. He decides to stand there for a few seconds, his gaze fixed on the building and his brow furrowed, after a few moments, a large, bright smile spreading over his face.

Drops head in a sort of bow. "thank you. I appreciate the hospitality. If I may go find a room, My travels are rapidly catching up with me."
Looks around, sees the stairs and turns that direction. Looks back "I may sleep for quite a while at first... but look forward to talking more and learning about this place. Thank you again."
Pads off to the stairs and disappears from view. Finds a room on the top floor looking out towards the forest, and to the mountains beyond where my pack waits for me to return. Finds a nice bed soft bed in the bedroom, drags a comforter out of the linen cabinet to the bed and then curls up on top, quickly falling into a very restful sleep.

*He watches as the wolf leaves, there had already been two slightly strange people entering the apartments.. probably with many to come. He seemed happy overall.*

The white wolf lowers hood, leaving his hair all ruffled as he does before he makes his way into the lobby of the apartment complex. He goes to walk up to the reception desk, not quite noticing the folf as he does.

*Zarco looks towards the wolf, he jumped a little before relaxing.. Not expecting someone else so quickly!*
Oh, hey! Welcome to the apartments!
I wasn't expecting someone else to be here so quickly, I'm Zarco Night. It's nice to meet you.

A young reddish black bear approaches the building. He clearly spent many a day in travel, with clothes speckled with dirt, a large backpack, and a tree branch staff wielded in his right hand. He pauses a few steps away from the door, making sure he didn't look too much like a hobo, before shyly heading in.

The wolf looks over to Zarco and offers a big, friendly smile, extending a hand out to him to shake. He looks over the folf for a moment, with a perplexed expression. At least it looks like he's perplexed. He's certainly squinting, for sure.
"Ah so you're Mr Night! I've heard you can help me out. You make magical items and stuff, right? I kind of need you to make me something, if you can."

*Zarco shakes your hand as you offer it to him, he smiles in return. He seemed a little wary right now having seen quite a few characters pass by already.*
Mmm..? Well I am a blacksmith by trade. I do specialize in weaponry though.
*He gestures to the masterful blade that was holstered on his back.*
What is it that you need..?
*He was about to say your name, but realized that you hadn't yet said it.*

"Ah, this is the place... I think. Apartment-esqe, yes... Away from town... Correct. Huh."
Kromas raised his head looking around at the building before him. He noticed a fair few facilities- including a treehouse. That seemed to call out to him, in his mind. A safe haven. A house, even. He continues forward, making his way to the main facility. He entered, looking around the entrance. He looked around for a moment, glancing around at the area. It felt wrong to just call dibs on a place, without meeting the owner. He thought that he best seek that person out, whoever they may be.
"Urh... hello?"

*Zarco glances over at the wolfsky for a moment then looks behind him at the approaching bear. He looked surprised that so many people were suddenly venturing in! He smiled a little*

"Ah, okay. If you don't mind me, could I take the treehouse, sir? Also, may I venture to ask your name, please?"
The wolfsky approached the folf, offering a hand for a handshake. The smile was... Welcoming? Yeah, that seemed about right. It was nice to see a presumably friendly face in this town.
He also nods to the bear, only just noticing them. They seemed somewhat bedraggled, but that was most likely not indicative of their personality.

Fable had been walking for what seemed like forever dragging a few bags behind. being rather tired fable truly hoped to come across a place to rest soon. Ze trudged onwards for a while until seeing a large building in the distance. That was the new destination! As long as Fable could sit down and rest for a bit ze was happy. By the time Fable had gotten closer to the building the exhaustion was starting to set in. Fable took a few moments to sit down and look at the building. It was rather large and a few people seem to have already walked in so at least ze knew it was open, whatever this place was.

"Ah right, sorry. I'm Kaleb, my parents decided to spell it with a K, so you can just go ahead and call me 'Kay'". He pauses for a moment and looks over the weapon, shaking his head a little as he sees the sword flicker in and out of existence for a second, having to strain his eyes more. "I don't quite need you to make a weapon, more like... goggles. Something to help me get a problem under control."
With that he opens his eyes fully and they seem abnormal. They are emerald green, and seem to glimmer and shine, his irises is larger than one would expect, in fact they take up all of his eyes on closer inspection. His eyes seem to reflect images of things which aren't there. People, objects and the like, a lot of which seem out of place and from different times.

*As you got closer to him, you could see that his eyes were glowing ever so slightly. He gently shook your hand as you offered it to him*
Of course, the treehouse is open to anyone who wishes to take it. I was originally thinking about using it myself.. but I figured It'd be best for me to stay close to the residents.
Ah, it's nice to meet you Kay. I'm afraid that that's not my area of expertise..
However I do know someone who could possibly help you..? I'm sure he would actually quite enjoy studying you and helping you out. Though I'm not sure when he will next be available.

Kro was slightly unsettled by the glowing-ness of the eyes that feel before him. He glanced to the other person near- more glowing eyes. Almost... reflective? With... things..
After a moment of unintentionally staring into people's eyes, he withdrew his hand, nodding.
"T-thank you... This means a whole lot to me."
He then spoke some words in a foreign dialect- if one was fluent in the demonic dialect, they could easily recognize it as him saying "I am within your servitude, m'lord." With that, he then turned on his heel, and as he stepped forward, dissipated his body into a fine, dark grey cloud. It moved outside, passing the lizard-looking creature, and made its way into the treehouse. There, he re-formed, and set about making this into more of a home.

*Zarco raised an eyebrow as you spoke in demonic. He didn't speak out afterwards but gave you a bit of a funny look.*

When Fable's small rest was over ze got up and continued to walk towards the doors. Once at the doors Fable looked straight up to where the door knob was high above and sighed. Letting go of the bags Fable got ready for the climb. Fable dug ze's little claws into whatever ze could and climbed up wishing to have sticky toe pads like other gecko's. Fable let out a high yelp of surprise and toppled to the ground after being passed by the shapeless grey cloud.

Kaleb casually shrugs the issue off. "Or you could give them my problem and they could mail whatever they make. In either case though, I'm going to need somewhere to stay and I... I sort of don't have any money." As he says that, his body slumps forwards slightly and looks down. Only realising he should start focusing again when he sees the floor turn to dirt for a moment. He perked up and went to apologise to the other person before they disappear into a grey cloud. "Whoops."

Fable rubbed Ze's tail for a moment from the landing and readied themselves again determined to get into this building! Once more Fable climbed up and this time managed to grab the door handle and pull it down. the door swung open and Fable dropped down and recollected the bags ze carried before. slight pride was felt by Fable for getting past the stupid door.

*He looked over and noticed the small gecko on the ground.*
Oop, hey there! There's a doorbell to the side you know.. Either way, welcome to the apartments, feel free to make yourself at home. There are rooms upstairs if you wish to stay here.

The bear watched the odd wolf and... other wolf-ish guy in confusion for a moment, then shrugged to himself and walked off without a word. Been awake too long to handle people right now. Not at all in the mood for talking. He got a weird vibe out of the latter guy -- the black and red one. It was hard to explain. He felt it before a couple times during his traveling, but he had no idea how or why. Something like a ghost? Rumors say this area is a supernatural hotspot, so it could be likely. Or maybe he just needed to pick a room and get some sleep before he sees more wacky nonsense.

"really? that's great news!" Fable exclaims, an apartment! Ze can sleep here AND get some food! no matter the cost Fable will figure it out later, "thank you very much!" and Fable walked over to the stairs and started to climb up dragging the bags behind.

Kaleb pauses for a moment and purses lips for a moment before bursting out into laughter for a moment, wiping a tear from his eye when he calms down. "I suppose you're right there! That's kinda funny! Anyway, thank you very much, Mr Night, I'll try to help out however I can around here."

*Zarco smiled as the lizard wandered off, he then looked back at Kay and nodded at him, smiling as he giggled.*

It was a long was up the stairs but with the promise of sleep up the mountain of stairs Fable pressed on. When finally to the top of the stairs fable looked around the hallway at the many doors. Fable walked until ze found one that didn't look like it had anyone in it and spent some time climbing up the door and to the handle. Twisted the handle the best ze could and swung the door open. Fable dropped back down to the floor and pulled ze's bags inside. A quick glance around showed the room was empty and Fable was happy to climb up onto the bed and lay in the middle of the gigantic fluffy bed.

*By this point Zarco was starting to get a bit tired, He decided to leave a note by the door explaining to everyone who enters to feel free to take a room upstairs if they like*
*He stepped away from the front door and started to walk up the stairs towards his room*

"Alright, just let me know if you need anything." With that, Kay decided to go to the games room. A spring in his step as he walked over to the pool table and set it up rather quickly. He picked up the cube of chalk with a small flourish and chalked the cue. Gently, placing the cube back down and lining up the first shot.

*Zarco walked over to his room and entered it. His door was clearly marked with a poster.*
*He stepped inside and dived onto his bed, falling asleep pretty quickly.*

If anyone was looking up at the top floor on this bright New moon night, they might see the shape of a wolf on the corner apartments small balcony, front paws up on the railing, looking longingly towards the mountains in the distance, ears listening intently.
If that 'anyone' had the hearing of a wolf they would understand the sudden, deep, plaintive howl the wolf on the balcony sings out with, it is a response to the moon carried howl of his mate many, many miles away. Even though he tries to be considerate, his soul won't let the call go unanswered...
After the howling dies away the wolf steps down from the railing and pads back into the apartment, unable to sleep he soon drags the comforter off the bed onto the balcony, pushes it into a pile, and settles in with his head on the highest part still looking to the mountains and home, until his eyes finally close in sleep again.

*Zarco slowly woke up the following morning, he still felt really tired and wanted to stay in bed for a bit longer. But alas, he had to keep an eye out for people and was starting to feel hungry*
*He climbed out of bed and got dressed before heading out of his room and downstairs*

Grunan moves out of her room. Wearing a different black robe. she moves for the stairs. It was tempting to stay locked in her room, but if she was going to be living here, she may as well try to be social.

*Zarco currently had his blade holstered on his back, he was wearing some black jeans and didn't have a top on right now. He made his way towards the kitchen and opened up one of the cupboards, he took out a bowl and poured some cereal into it.*
<quietly> I feel like today is going to be a good day..!

Grunan moves into the kitchen, glancing around it, taking in where everything is, Before eventually getting herself some cereal of her own.

*Zarco was just sitting down at the table as you entered the room. He looked up at you and nodded a little*
Good morning, hope you slept well.. Grunan.
*It took him a moment or two to recall your name, after hearing so many names last night it was a little bit tricky putting the names to the correct faces*

Alka was driving into town in a nice black Mercedes Benz. He saw an advertisement for what he thought was a free, easy getaway. Being pretty super-natural himself, he didn't mind all the reports of weird stuff going on. He stopped by a nearby shop to check the directions to the apartments. "Hmm... This-a-way I think... Never was good with maps..." He pulled out and continued driving his way towards the building.
((Good to see the old crew are getting back together. Even better to see some new faces getting involved ^_^ ))

"I did." Grunan states. "How about you? Did you sleep well." She spoke blandly, clearly barely caring about what she was saying. She was not good at small talk.

Yeah, I slept pretty well. I still feel half asleep but that's okay.
*He started to eat his cereal, he was quite attentive of your tone and had a bit of a feeling you were either tired or didn't fancy talking.*
*Zarco could hear the feint sounds of the Mercedes and perked his ears up*
Sounds like we will have more guests here soon! I wasn't expecting this place to be so popular so soon..
<quietly>..then again, free accomodation.. who would say no?

"What did you expect. Honestly my only worry was this place was some kind of trap." She looks straight at Zarc. "Sometimes things like this feel too good to be true"

*Zarco continued to eat his cereal for now, he made sure to swallow what was in his mouth before speaking*
You make a good point, but sometimes a gesture like this goes a long way.
Quite a few people told me I should rent out rooms, but I've got enough money to be happy and whatnot

Grunan narrows her eyes for a second. then leans back. "I don't know what's more unlikely, that explanation, or the fact I mostly believe you." She states. "It really is quite a nice place you have got here."

*Zarco still maintained his neutral expression, he did seem to be in thought right now though..*
Mmm.. Well, you're welcome to believe what you like. I guess it is your first day being here and all.
I'm sure over time you'll become more acclimatized to this place.
*He finished his cereal for now and stood up, taking his empty bowl to the dishwasher*

Alka eventually found the apartments and pulled into the garage. "I hope this is the place... Seems like it." After exiting the vehicle, he popped open the hood and removed 2 large suitcases from it, heading to the doorway.

Grunan continues to eat. She no longer looks paranoid or nervous like she was yesterday.

*Zarco stretched a little, he seemed quite happy overall. He walked out of the kitchen with a bit of a spring in his steps as he walked over to the front door. He glanced over at the wolf that was making his way up the path*
<quietly> Looks like a posh one, I'm surprised they would be interested in visiting a place like this.. Either way though..
*He opened the front door and stood tall, trying to look inviting and somewhat professional despite his choice of clothing*

Alka smiled as he was greeted. He took off his sunglasses and nodded his head once. "Thank you. Glad I've found the right place. I have never been good with maps if I have to be honest." Alka extended a paw towards Zarco. "Dr. Alka P. Wolf. And your name, sir?"

*Zarco held his paw out and shook yours as you were close enough to do so*

If you're looking for a room, feel free to take any free one upstairs. Just double check that nobody is currently occupying it first though.

Alka had a firm grip for the handshake. He always believed that you could tell some things about people through the way they shake hands, so he liked to give the right impression. After the handshake was over, Alka continue moving his bags to the stairs, pulling them up slowly.

*Zarco was about to ask if you needed a hand with your luggage, but as you were already half way up the stairs by the time he turned around, he assumed that you were fine with them*
*He walked into the front room and decided to take a seat on the beanbag chair for now, relaxing himself*
*He still had a good view outside and could easily see if anyone was approaching the apartments*

Grunan finishes her breakfast, and leaves the kitchens. she wants to explore the apartments, and starts off by heading to the library.

*Upon entering the library, you noticed that there were a lot of books, each bookshelf seemed to be full of books from all genres*
*It was quite nicely decorated, if a little old fashioned looking*
*There was a sign on one of the bookshelves saying that you can drag the books side to side to find more, sort of like an infinite belt of books*

Alka dragged his suitcase up to the first floor and took the first empty room. After pulling his bags inside, he quickly flopped back onto his bed. "Ahhh... Gotta love holidays."

Grunan moves over, and looks through the books, moving swiftly past the various fictional books. She is looking for books on magic, ghosts, and other such subjects. She wants to see how extensive the collection here was.

*You quickly identified the bookshelf containing magical information as well as ghosts and extraterrestrials. You found as you scrolled through the books, there didn't seem to be an end to the amount of books there. There were books about Blood magics, rituals, runic spells.. the list went on and on!*
*A few of the books had some wear to them, they were about O-Mana and Kinetic spells, as well as some demonic looking books.*
*In the meantime Zarco decided to re-locate to the couch and flick the tv on for now. He enjoyed relaxing in the mornings until he fully awakens*

Grunan narrows her eyes. Now she looks for books on Deep-ones, and shoggoths (If she finds them, she will be very careful not to open those books.)

*You did end up finding books about them, they didn't seem to be magical nature and were more descriptive than anything.*

The bear woke up a while ago, but he continued laying in bed, pondering his odd dream, where a sparrow lady told him about a psychic who was to meet him soon. He believed she said the psychic's name was 'Keer-ah'.
Ciara? He knew someone named Ciara. She was a classmate. He once told off some kid bullying her, then subsequently got his face beaten in by said kid while walking home that day. Ciara gave him a little keychain as a thank you and sorry gift the next day. Surely he still had that somewhere in his crowded mess of a backpack. He had forgotten her name for years until now. Dreams are funny.
The bear reached for his backpack plopped against the bed and pulled out a teal notebook and pencil. A name was written in blue on the cover's corner, but the last name was neatly covered up with a layer of black marker: "Geoffrey Noah ███████". His name, of course.
He quickly jotted down his dream experience, then changed into a clean outfit and headed down to the lobby. He had time to get his apartment sorted later; now he felt the need to make up for his awkward first impression. Not that anyone really cared, but it was always a concern at the back of his head.

Grunan touches the spines of the books. not magical, but they have knowledge about those dark things, that is bad enough. She did one final check, looking for the name Yog-sothoth, hoping she would find nothing, but expecting another... informative... book.

Kaleb slowly rose from where he was sleeping, stretching and yawning, his green eyes wide open. Seeing he was in a games room, a look of confusion spreads across his face. He focuses and squints to make sure this isn't his eyes doing... their thing. Nope, it was still the same. He paused for a moment or two and remembered that he had in fact passed out whilst playing pool by himself.
"Huh, hitchhiking must have been more tiring then I thought."
Casting his gaze over the pool table, he noticed two things. The first was a slightly damp spot next to where his face had been, the other was that he hadn't even hit the cue ball once. It was still sitting right where he left it.
"A lot more tiring..."
He shrugged and made his way out of the room, heading into, what to him, looked like a living room.

After lying down for a little bit, Alka sat up and began unpacking. He started with his clothes, since those would be the easiest. All his notes, papers, books and drawings would take some time. Been a stressful year. Hopefully, I can enjoy some peace and quiet. Maybe get some reading done.

"Thank Morg for that" Grunan mumbles to herself. "For a moment I thought we had a real problem..." She starts to move the shelf back... and then pauses. "...Damn it." she takes out the book on Shoggoths. It was a bad idea. but with the book right there... It was hard not to resist. She then moves the shelf back into its original position, before going to sit down.

"Eeeeh, sure. Let's go with that." Kaleb himself hasn't noticed this, but he is still wearing his backpack. He hadn't even unpacked yet, not that there was much to unpack anyway. He looks over at the TV and decides to move the bean bag chair so it had a better view of it, then flops down into it.
"Haven't watched tv in a long time..."

Geoff grinned as he reached the end of the staircase. He really did see a pond when he first walked in! He stopped at the pond's edge, noticing the koi happily swimming about. He loved ponds and he loved fish. Not just for eating, but for their calming motions coupled with the gentle flow of the little waterfall. He leaned over to stir a finger around in the water and chuckled quietly. Maybe he should properly introduce himself to the landlord before getting too comfy. Silently walking off like that wasn't very polite, especially to someone offering so much for free.

"Huh? Oh, would you look at that." He leans forward and slips the arms out of the straps of bag, dropping it down on the floor. He sighs as he sinks back into the bean bag, which almost looks like it could engulf his small frame. "Nope, not going anywhere. Just forgot to take it off, is all, I'll keep that offer in mind though. This is fine, I don't really have tastes in TV, like I said, haven't seen any in a long time. Probably since I was like... Four? Maybe."

I used to be an adventurer like you too.. then stuff happened, I settled down in a self built log hut and had a nice relaxing life for a while.
Either way, let me know if there's anything you need or anything that you think I should invest in for this place.
I did end up contacting Nucleon last night, he said that he would be busy until after christmas I'm afraid. It's a busy season it seems.

Grunan begins reading, her eyes scanning the page, sighting in the Arctic and Antarctic, known images (all blurry and poorly taken. Why do Cryptozoologists always have to have such shaky hands?) and signs of their activity as close as.... she blinks reading that passage. That's was not far from here at all. Best not to think about that too much...
She delves deeper into the book, most of this stuff is superstition, and conjecture, but it was still pretty interesting.

"Pffft! Nah, not really, and I'm certainly not an adventurer. Hell, this is my first time leaving my home by myself. It's just that I need to try and focus to keep myself from seeing too much stuff that isn't from right now, TV sort of makes me zone out a little so I end up not focusing enough." As Kaleb stares at the TV his eyes slowly open more as he squints a little less.

Hmm.. alright, that issue must really be affecting you then. It's a shame I can't do anything about it here..

*He looked over at you curiously, you could see that he was trying to look through your eyes to see what you were looking at*

"Not sure really. I tried looking into it once. Didn't really get anything concrete. Just magic this, magic that. As for it affecting me, sort of. It's not all negative, I've gotten pretty good at focusing myself on certain things, and it's pretty easy for me to process hectic information." He pauses for a moment and notices your curiosity. "Oh, you wanna see?" He opens his eyes properly and his eyes appear to reflect people walking past, wearing clothes old, new and even some that could only be described as strange and futuristic. On top of that, it also looks like the walls keep disappearing and reappearing, sometimes as the same wall, sometimes as a different one.

..Very strange.. I'm glad my powers are more controllable than yours. I'd get pretty annoyed if that affected me.

Grunan closed the book, and left the libary with it. She wondered if Zarc was still about. If so, she might have some questions for him.

Geoff began exploring the rooms, hoping to run into the landlord. He stepped into the library and skimmed his eyes along the shelves, at first not noticing Grunan until she left. There was a surprising selection, including supernatural stuff. He should look into research about his experiences later on. There had to be truth in some of the tomes here, he just needed to find it. Everywhere else all he found was clearly embellished fantasy and ramblings of religious con-men. He needed legitimate answers.

"It was more of a problem when I was younger. Now, I just have to watch myself and try and not let it distract me, which I suppose is easier said then done really, if I squint it helps though." With that, he allowed himself to sink into the beanbag once more, this time staring out of the window and focusing on the little details of the surrounding area that he could see, squinting again as he did.

After Alka's clothes were hung up and organised, he quickly got a book out of his other suitcase. Ahh... Finally able to catch up with this one! His already wide smile only got wider as he took his jacket off and
headed down stairs to see if there were any good reading spots. lay down on his bed, beginning to read.
(For the mean time, I'm going to keep my interactions low. Can't stay up very late, so I'd rather not hold others back. Holidays are very soon, so that'll change within the next few days)

Kaleb just smiles to himself and continues to squint out the window, his smile widening a little as he sees a small bird fly past the window, not bothering to worry which time period it came from.

He went to peek into the living room, and upon noticing Zarc, turned to Grunan and pointed a thumb back into the room.

Kaleb looked up from the window and glanced over at the door, his focus on what's outside having been broken by the sound of voices. "Hmm?"

He rubbed the back of his neck. "Heh, yeah, thank you. Uh, s-sorry for walking off like that last night, I had a long day."
The bear reached out his hand to shake. "I'm Geoffrey."

A hand raises up from the bean bag and waves back and forth. "Hey there, Geoffrey!" The hand then closes and points down with the thumb. "I'm Kaleb, call me Kay." What Kaleb didn't realise was that his body was sort of obscured by the side of the bean bag facing the door.

"Hah, hiya!"
This place sure made Geoff feel good already. He really needed it after all the unpleasant stuff he dealt with lately. He was a little concerned with Zarco, though. He seemed a little tense. He could relate. The guy just opened the place, and dealing with tenants took time to get used to.

*The only thing making Zarco feel a bit tense right now was knowing that there were a few magic users in the building, he was still feeling a bit cautious and didn't fancy getting on their bad side*

Kaleb sits up a little, making himself actually visible from the door. "Well so far, I went to play pool, passed out on the table, woke up and came here and felt a bit like a doofus. So all in all, I've been finding this place to be pretty good, thanks." He stuck out his tongue a little for a second to show he was kidding and was actually enjoying himself.

"It's pretty great," Geoff replied. "Nice bed, food, pond... Pretty much all I need right there, heh."

"I'll be fine, just going to take a quick walk around." Kaleb stands up and waves to the others before making his way to the door, a little surprised when he noticed Grunan just standing there. His eyes opening a little for a moment before he squinted again, giving her a glimpse of the things reflected in them for just a second. "Oh... Erm... Hey there... you." He makes his way to the shelf with the leaflets and starts to flick through them.

Geoff sat down on the couch with his hands folded and looking down while in thought. At first he simply wondered what he should do now that he has a home and food settled, then strayed to his dream. A psychic named Ciara. Of course, it could just be a typical dream, but what if it was true? After the accident with that spirit, he knew much of what he sensed throughout his life was far from his imagination. What if some of those dreams were more than they appear...?

Kaleb found a map on the shelf and started to wander around the ground with the map as his guide.

After a while of organisation, Kro had finally decided on how the treehouse would be set out on the inside. A small front room, with a small sofa, and a coffee table. Maybe even a radio- Television was overrated, as far as he was concerned. In the bedroom, a single bed, a wardrobe and a bedside cabinet. It wasn't much, but it would do.
As he exited the treehouse, he firmly shut the padlock he had placed on the outside, and jumped down to the ground. His body then faded into a shapeless grey cloud, which snaked it's way into the apartment building. After a moment, he-reformed, and decided to look around for any other residents.
He sung quietly to himself as he walked.
"And the trees, they sang
A song of emotion, a song of truth
And when the tide came crawling
There was nothing but the tall grass shoots..."

Fable woke up and stretched in the giant bed. Fighting ze's nature was hard. Fable was nocturnal but found traveling during the day to be much more interesting. Fable thought about where ze was and looked around the nice room. Fable still had no real idea where ze was but hoped to find out- a large growl of fables stomach also reminded ze that food would be the next best thing to look for. So Fable got up and slid down off the side of the bed to the floor. Quickly pushed all ze's hair back into place and left the room. Fable was unsure where to head but figured down the mountain of stairs was the best place to start. With a small stretch Fable started the long climb down.

Kaleb was on his way to the pool, his glowing green eyes wide open as he walked. He watched as people who no one else could see walked around, living their strange, unknowable lives. He could see people chatting, fighting, everything really. It was fun to sometimes just people-watch those who were no longer around or not quite around yet.

Fable eventually makes it down all the stairs and sits on the last one looking around to see if ze sees anyone. Since Fable doesn't even know where ze is ze doesn't know where to start looking for anyone!

After a quick glance around, and seeing no one, Kro resumed his shapeless, grey form and left back from where he had come. He then circled the main complex, somewhat slowly, looking around for people to talk to.
After a while of cruising through the air, he noticed someone, heading out towards.. the pool? They had a pool here? Huh. Waith that notion of thought, he flow down towards the entrance of the pool, forming his usual self as he touched the ground, glancing over at the person. It was the one with the.. glowy eyes.
"Urh.. hey.. I was gonna say hi beforehand, but sorry for leaving so abruptly."

*Zarco decided to head upstairs to sleep for now, he seemed to have dozed off in the living room earlier. He made his way out of the living room and over to the stairs.*
*He walked into his room and fell asleep on his bed*

Kaleb stops dead in his tracks and stares at the other person for a moment, squinting and trying to focus so that he can pay attention to them properly. "Hey there, it's not a problem. I was just heading over to the pool. Feel free to join." Quickly, he checked the map to make sure he was heading the right way before continuing to walk along the path.

Wakes up on the balcony, unsure what time, other than nighttime, and aware I had missed several meals. Drags the comforter back into the apartment, and folds it best I can on the chair near the door.
Pads around the apartment checking things out, Very nice place, but has no coffee pot. Decides to go downstairs and see if there is any coffee, and see if there are any new guests out and about.
Pads out of the apartment and down the stairs to the lobby, stops to check out the pond in the center, feels very comforting... Sniffs the air, there are several new scents lingering, though there doesn't seem to be anyone else out at this hour.
Pads over to the kitchen to look for coffee, but do not see any made.
" I guess I need to talk with Zarco about meals and things... find out what his thoughts are"

Fable had hung out on the stairs for quite a while just watching out for people to pass by. Fable had seen who ze expected to be the owner walk up the stairs earlier but hasn't seen anyone else really out and about. The owner hadn't seemed to take any notice of Fable on the stairs and looked rather tired. but Fable was starting to feel very hungry from the time sitting on the stairs. Fable heard some noise and hoped that would lead to someone who knew a little more about this place, maybe even someone who would know how to get food around here.
Fable follows the noise into what, thank the spirits!, looked to be a kitchen! Then Fable pauses seeing the large wolf, but after a calming breath Fable put on a polite smile and spoke up "excuse me, I do hope I am not interrupting anything but I was hoping you could answer some questions for me." Fable was also truly hoping the wolf could speak or this would all be rather awkward.

Surprised by a sudden voice, I quickly turn and am again surprised when I don't see anyone in the doorway.. ?? Wondering if it is a trick...
I start sniffing around and suddenly find the source of the small voice, a small lizard! I pad closer tilting my head to get a better look.
Suddenly my stomach rumbles hungrily...
Turning my head towards my side "Would you quit... I'm looking, okay?"
Turning back to the lizard I think to introduce myself properly..
"Hello there, I am Naake ni, and yes, I can talk, seems to surprise people."
Looks around the kitchen then back again "What can I help you with? I've only arrived recently myself..."

"Naake ni." Fable repeats to try and remember it, "My name is Fable, Fable Maze." Fable hopes the wolf does find some food to satisfy that grumbling stomach so that ze is not on the menu. "ah so you are new as well.." that's disappointing news but Fable hopes anyways "I was wondering if you knew what this place is? i was tired from travel yesterday and simply wandered in, I don't even know the cost for a room yet I've already stayed a night and considering the time, I'm likely to stay again." Fable walks over to one of the counters looking high above trying to see whats on top. "I should really start to be more cautious with my wandering." Ze adds with a mumble.

I lay down on the floor to be at a better level with Fable.
"as I understand it the owner, Zarco Night, built it and has graciously opened the doors to any who feel the need or inclination to stay, at no cost. I don't know what it is called, and I was drawn here with out knowing here was even here."
Shakes head "I'm rattling.. sorry. I was just looking around, and an hungry, but was hesitant to just get into the food, but since there are two of us now I think Mr. Night would understand."
Stands up and looks around again "May I offer you a lift to the counter, Fable?"

"That would be gratefully appreciated." Fable says with a smile "I had quite enough climbing yesterday. And feel free to ramble, I enjoy listening to others and their thoughts. Learning that this place is free, while that is an amazingly generous thing, i do wonder how this Mr. Night is able to afford it..." Fable wonders aloud while walking closer to Naake ni for the help up.

Grins playfully and opens mouth as if to...
Then closes mouth and lowers head to the floor. " If you would kindly step onto the nose.... Hopefully we can find something to satisfy our hungers."

Fable finds the wolfs sense of humor quite fun really, people who take life completely serious are never fun to talk to. Fable stables them-self on Naake ni's nose and is raised slowly up towards the counter, "This would probably be an appropriate time to ask what i should look for, what do you eat?" Fable could place a good bet on the answer being meat, but asking wont hurt, never know.

After gently lifting Fable to the counter level I answer the important question... "Meat.."
I grin wolfishly, then add " I've learned to tolerate most anything, but meats and cheeses are always good. What is your preference?"
Turns the corner around the counter and sees the fridge "Oh, I'll bet there is good stuff in there!"
Pads over and pulls the door open, as I look around the door my eyes light up "It's like a holiday in here!" reaches in and picks up a smallish slab of Ham with my teeth "Hab you zeen angi platz?"

Turned out there were more than two empty stomachs in the building. Geoff was laying on the couch in the lobby living room with an open book resting on his chest, and another stack of them on the coffee table. Clearly he wasn't on that couch the entire time, but explored the grounds and spent the remaining day digging through those library tomes he took note of. He hadn't bothered to eat anything that whole time. He was so used to going hungry on the streets it was easy to ignore it for a day or so. There was no need for that behavior anymore, but those books were too interesting to put down; he had read incessantly until falling asleep mid-book. He had some answers, at least.
Basically, Geoff was "sensitive", able to clearly sense and communicate with spirits and spiritual entities, such as demons. Perhaps the red and black wolf guy had a demon soul? He certainly looked the part, at least color-wise. Zarco had a lesser yet similar vibe, come to think of it... Geoff also read that some spirits can speak through dreams, which might explain all those weird ones he had over his lifetime, including the one with the sparrow talking about Psychic Ciara.
And he found all this in a "supernatural hotspot", no less. This might be why he was drawn here, aside from free residence, of course.
This was a little overwhelming to learn, however. All this time Geoff figured he simply ran into ghosts on occasion and tried to brush the rest off as his imagination or plain insanity. but if there were actual spirits deliberately tracking him down throughout his life... He preferred the former explanation, to be honest. The idea of spooky things getting in his business was far from pleasant. He didn't want to think about it anymore. Time for food.

*Zarco slowly awoke, he was still resting on top of the bed and hadn't even climbed into the bedsheets! He rolled off the bed and laid on the floor for a few moments before standing up.*
Eurgh.. I should probably go shower or something..
*He made his way into the bathroom in his room and started to shower*

After sharing a meal with Fable (interaction shortened by server outage... ) I decided to explore a little more and wandered outside to get some fresh air and catch the sunrise, which is always a special time for me. Have to admit Zarco has done a great job here. The grounds are well kept, thoughtful, but still fit in with the wildness around the place.
I pass a treehouse and think "that would be a cool apartment!", but as i get closer I feel ... something ... not evil, per see, more just a feeling that the resident prefers the area be left alone, so I continue past, looking back at the door noting a large padlock securing it closed. "Interesting..".
I continue my wandering, and end up at the edge of the grounds, where the manicured lawn becomes a rough, then brush and nature take over and the forest, the wild, dark forest begins. I briefly consider going on through these woods, back to my beloved mountains and my pack, but something, that same something that brought me here, prevents me. I sit and watch the sunrise, then lie down in the rough and ponder, opening myself to the spirits that guide me seeking an answer, but all I get is the sense that Here is where I need to be, that I am needed, and that there is something that I also need.... No, not something, there is SOMEONE that I need to meet.
After watching the sunrise I suddenly realize it is past noon... I know I didn't fall asleep, but feel refreshed and recharged, the tiredness of the journey here completely gone, and a renewed strength coursing through my spirit.
With these thought lingering in my mind, I rise and wander back to the lobby, maybe Mr. Night will be about and I can talk with him... I wonder if he knows how many spirits, both friend and not, are lingering here...

Grunan actually woke up hours ago. LAst night she had waited patiently for Zarco to be alone, only for that bear to sit in there, seemingly forever. Annoyed she had taken the book upstairs with her, reading the rest of it before going to sleep.
Waking up in the morning, she spent most of her time working on her magic within her room, the details of which are probably best not described here.
Eventually, Grunan emerges from her room, and moves downstairs. Heading to find another book she had spotted in the libary.

Raz had taken refuge in am empty apartment(to which the door was barricaded to this room from the inside) a few days ago and eventually he knew he'd have to leave the room for food eventually, and today was that day; Raz groaned as he got up from the blanket pile he had gathered from a few other apartments.
Raz awoke and made his way to a vent that was in the corner of the bedroom section he was in and slowly climbed inside, going along until he got to somebody's room and he slowly came out of a vent closest to somebody's kitchen, thinking nobody was home, so the clatter of the vent didn't faze him, so he just went to the fridge to get some food, and again, he didn't bother to be quiet, hbut he didn't make a mess... on the floor that is, he was making a bit if a mess in the fridge.
Raz's body had bruises and cuts on it everywhere, most had healed, but it looked as though he had been through a lot; the area below his eyes were slightly darker than the rest of his body, showing that he wasn't getting much sleep at all.

Grunan pauses at the bottom of the stairs, listening. She thought she heard the front door. Thats fairly normal, the strange clattering sound though? could just be someone dropping something. She glances across, towards the kitchens. listening for a few more seconds.

*Zarco decided to eventually leave his room, he had spent most of the morning relaxing. He walked downstairs and headed towards the games room.*

Grunan heard Zarco moving behind her. "Zarco". She states, turning to face him. "I think I need a word with you."

*Zarco looked up at you and tilted his head a little bit. He tried to look more awake than he actually was*
Ah, how can I help you? Was there something wrong with your room?

"No, but I have some... questions about the libary." she states. She had an icy tone to her voice.

Hmm..? If you're wondering about how they scroll.. I believe some mechanical and some runic magic is at work. I had one of my friends create the bookshelves.
*He assumed that was what you were after, being someone who looked like they used magic*

Grunan nodded. "So, you are saying they handled the libary, filled it with books, that kind of thing?"

Alka hadn't noticed that he got so lost in his book that he had fallen asleep. Waking up with a start at first, he realised what he had done and chuckled to himself, stretching. "Gonna be a good break." The wolf got up and got dressed into a completely black set of clothing; A t-shirt, shorts, sandals and sunglasses. He grabbed his drawing book and left his room, wondering where would be the best place to continue his drawings. "Maybe Mr. Night would know." And with that, Alka headed downstairs to see if he could find the folf.

Yeah, The library and how the rooms work wasn't done by me I'm afraid! While I can use magic, it's not as useful as the magics on display here I'm afraid.
*Right now, Zarco was just standing near ish to the games room entrance*

"And the BOOKS?" She asks again. more insistant. "I mean, did you know you have knowledge in there literally dangerous for mos~" Grunan pauses, realizing Alka was coming down the stairs behind her. "Nevermind." she mutters, Moving towards the libary.

I'm afraid I didn't stock the library. I know there are quite a few books that may not be suitable for everyone though.

Pads back into the lobby after opening the door with my teeth again, need to talk with Mr. Night about that too. There are other, stronger energies on the handle from some of the new arrivals.. Maybe a wolfie door??
As I cross the lobby I see Mr. Night engaged in a conversation with... what was her name... Grunan, I think. Decide to wait near the pond, as the sounds of the waterfall adn the green space is calming.
Sees another new resident approaching Grunan and Zarco, He may be busy for a bit.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, Alka looked around, spotting Zarco near the arcade. With a smile, he began walking towards Zarco, book and drawing pencils in hand.

*Zarco glances around between the two approaching him, he sure is popular today! He decides to wait before entering the arcade incase either of them wish to speak to him*

Grunan entered the libary. Flicking back through the bookshelf, she finds one of the books on ritual magic, divination mainly, and takes it out. Flicking through the pages. "This is not exactly what I was looking for" she mutters "Good enough though." She goes back to looking at the shelf, seeing if there was anything else of intrest.

Lays down near the pond, patting at the water with one front paw, casually watching Zarco waiting for an opportunity to talk. Closes eyes for a moment...

Once Alka was close enough so that he didn't have to obnoxiously raise his voice, he waved towards Zarco with his free paw. "Morning, Mr. Night. I was just wanting to ask if you knew any good spots around her for drawing. I don't mind walks, if they're a bit of a distance."

Ah, good morning! Hope you slept well.
Hmm.. I know of a few places like that. One of which is a small lake not far from here, there's a beautiful view of the mountain through the trees from it too. Lovely and peaceful!

Alka nodded. "Sounds lovely. Could you point me in the right direction?"

Sure thing, you can take the northernmost path and walk along it, there will eventually be a path to the left, walk down there for 5 minutes and you'll be there!
There's also a map if you wish to use that as well, they're just on the shelf by the front door.

Alka rubbed the back of his head awkwardly and shook his head. "I've never been good with maps if I have to be honest. Should really put aside time to get better at reading them, now that I think about it... Regardless, thanks for the pointers and the place. You doing this for charity?"

Raz heard talking and as he tried to see if someone was there, he fell back, dragging a whole fridge shelf out with him; He didn't move as he was covered in food and fairly hidden, so if someone was there, they'd see the mess and hopefully wouldn't see him, or his tail, which was hanging out of the pile. After a few moments of listening, Raz started to throw things back into the fridge that he hadn't eaten.
The vent cover was open and laying on the ground, ND the fridge door was wide open.

Geoff had caught Grunan's cut-short rant, but he heard enough to get it. Some of those library books had potentially dangerous truths to them, there was no doubt about that. But he had enough reading for one day, no need to dive into the deeper shelves for now.
He stepped into the kitchen, immediately noticing the mess. "Woah, what the..."
He peeked back out into the lobby for Zarco, then hesitantly called out. "Uhh, hey Zarco?"

*He smiled a little as his mind wandered.. .. He shook his head*

Grunan finished collecting books, 3 books of ritual magic, one about demonic monsters. Fairly standard for her sort of reading material. Though finding it in a regular libary was always disconcerting. And finding them like this... That was outright scary.
Carefully, she moves out of the libary, and heads for the stairs.

"Uh, someone left a big mess in here," Geoff replied.

Alka started off towards the north path, heading to go continue his designs.

*Zarco sighs a little and makes his way over to the kitchen to deal with the mess.*
*He started to clean up the contents of the fridge, putting back what he could*

Geoff helped out Zarco. "I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to think I did it, heh... Looks like something a feral might do."

Kromas walked with the wolf of glowing eyes, towards the pool. He didn't intend to go in- just sit around the edge, most likely.
"Ah, thank you."
He looked around as he walked, taking in most of the enviroment, getting a general feel for the place. It was nice- hopefully it would last, and not require him to move on like oh so many other places had.
"So, why are you here? N-not trying to like, be rude or anything, sir. Just wondering.Also, may I ask your name, sir?"

Hears the conversation in the kitchen, causally, until the 'feral' reference... Gets up and pads over to the kitchen..
clears throat before speaking "Ahem..". pauses for a moment... "is there a problem with being 'feral' ? I , for one, take offense at the implication..."
When Zarco and Geoff turn to look. they can't help but notice the intensity in my gaze.. and the aggressive stance...
" 'I' consider everything I do to 'fit in' among a 2 legged world, and ask very little consideration for any limits to my abilities." "Additionally, I don't smell any other feral's here, and I did NOT make the mess, but am willing to help with the cleanup..."

*Zarco rolled his eyes a little*
I'm in no mood to deal with people with issues such as those. However someone small enough to fit through a vent seemed to have done this.

Geoff's ears lowered, his face growing hot. "N-no, I'm sorry, that's not what I meant at all! I just know it's hard for some to get the hang of handling things in a fridge, like... using only their teeth. It probably takes a while to learn how to grab things like that f-from what I've seen."

Grunan pauses. Listening to the argument developing downstairs, she leans against the railing. Mildly amused.

Calming down a little I soften my gaze at the bear, and, looking between Geoff and Zarco, stop to consider my next comments... and the underlying implications of Zarco's comment.
Huffs adn takes a deep breath, letting go of the emotion... " it's just difficult enough fitting in, and I sometime take offense to easily. I have limited contact with, What did you call them Zarco, Anthro's?" Pads forward and gets a towel, dropping it near the edge of the mess.
" I will try to watch my attitude, unless truly provoked."
Uses front paw to start wiping up some of the spilled liquids that are slowly spreading across the floor.

Grunan grins, but secretly is a little disappointed. People stopping and dealing with their problems like adults? This place really was magical. She continues upstairs with her books, heading back to her room to continue her magic

"Y-yeah, I'm sure it's hard. I don't blame you for getting mad."
Geoff shook his head regretfully. "It's my fault for making the comment. Should have explained better or kept my mouth shut..."

Still wiping up... stops and looks at the bear.... Tilts head slightly to the side, seeing something his eyes. Drops head and shakes it slightly before speaking.
"I obviously overreacted. WE are all new here, except Mr. Night, and will have to get to know and understand each other. There is a reason each of us is here in this place at this time, and I doubt it's to be at each others throats."
starts wiping again. "If you ever want to just talk let me know."
Changes subject... "Oh, Mr. Night, I was going to ask, is there any plans for dinner together, or... well. dam... I'll just say it. Raw meat gets a little old, and I don't really think you want me trying to cook in the kitchen. I do okay over a fire, but pots and pans, adn spoons and stuff , not so much."
Looks at Geoff, and kind of grins... "some things are easier than others... we all have to adapt to our issues and learn to use them to the best we can."

Kaleb shoves his hand into his pockets as he walks with the wolfsky. Keeping his eyes squinted as he walks, not wanting to space out and seem rude.
"Eh, it's no problem. I'm Kay, short for Kaleb, as for why I'm here, I came to see if the owner could help me out with my eyes. Turns out he could be able to but I'll have to stick around for a small while. What about you? Do you have a reason for being here? Does everyone?"

Geoff smiled lightly, his nervousness relaxing. "Yeah... I, uh, tend to be bad at... words... kinda run my mouth sometimes... Getting better though, I think."
He poked his head into the pantry in search for something to cook. Good thing he was on decent terms with the wolf again. He would have lost his appetite completely with guilt, and not eating at this time would make him feel even worse.

"Ah, okay. A pleasure to meet you, Mr Kaleb. Myself, I have various reasons for being here- residence, employment, etcetera etcetera. I imagine most people would have a reason to be present at this location."
Kro thought for a moment.
"I do not mean to be rude, or intrusive, but I could not help but notice your... eyes. Yesterday, in the complex. It seemed awfully strange, no offense, sir. I guess that is the issue you refer to when you mention your eyes?"

The entire time the few were cleaning up the stuff, Raz was hiding under the sink, closing it behind him as one peered in his direction.

"A please to meet you too... Erm... What's your name again?" Kaleb stopped as they reached the pool and sat down at the edge, laying down on his back as his legs dangled over the edge. "Hmmm, yeah that'd be it. It's not a huge kind of issue, just distracting from time to time. It'd be nice to not have to focus on the current time period, I suppose."

"Time... Period?"
The Wolfsky was slightly perplexed by that. It was... odd? Yeah, most odd for sure.
"O-oh, urh, yes. My name is Kromas Ndorai. Most people just refer to me as Kro. Or Kromas. Which ever you prefer, sir."
He kept walking, not noticing the pool edge as he stepped over it. For a moment, he looked back infront of him, sighing with a sudden annoyance. As he fell over, impacting the water, his form quickly turned to smoke, hovering slightly above the water, producing a small splash where he was. It then drifted back onto the poolside, and reformed back into himself.
"Oh, um.. Sorry about that. My mistake, sir."

After the nice meal with naake ni yesterday Fable had retreated to the room where the bags of their things were still thrown about, Now waking with a yawn and glancing at a nearby clock Fable sighed. Sleeping away most of the day was not really in the plan. Today Fable wanted to really get a look around and see what all there was in this place. So up Fable got and slid down off the bed, fighting with the door was getting old but Fable was quite used to it anytime ze spent in 'normal' sized places.
Fable thought just wandering outside may be the best bet for today so ze clambered down the mountain of stairs and fought for a while with the front door. Once outside Fable walked along the edge of the building for quite some time until finding themself at a pond! Fable loved to look at water, didn't much like to get in it, but to sit on a pebble and watch the water for a while was quite nice as Fable allowed themself to daydream a while and to wonder what all adventure would await in this strange apartment building.

Kaleb stared at Kromas as he turned to smoke and drifted back up to the side of the pool. "You alright there? Also yeah, I can see people and things from different time periods." He slowly stares up at the sky with his eyes wide open and glowing. Not really worrying about seeing stuff not from right now as he was already just blanking out as he stared up.

After helping out with the clean-up I decided to walk the grounds again, after being on the move for several days the itch to be moving was still there. As I leave the kitchen I see the door open slightly, then close and smell the faint scent of Fable's passing.
(Sorry about the abbreviated meal, darn server...)
Once outside I opt to go towards the woods again, intending to go deeper into them, but once to the rough I again feel .. something.. a sense that It's not time, or wise, to enter the woods. There are things I still need to talk to Zarco privately about... Hopefully he has some idea.
I instead continue around the outer fringe of the complex getting my bearings and learning as much as I can About this interesting place. It is nearly new and very well kept, but there is something old, both ominous and inviting at the same time, like layers of a strange food.
I suddenly throw my head up, howling loudly, then break into a full, wild run around the complex. Tail flying behind, the wind in my face, enjoying the rush I feel as I sprint at full speed. I run past others by the pool, seeing them but not caring. I just let the beast run until it is done...

"Oh, yeah, just fine."
Kro watched Kaleb as he looked up somewhat blankly. It was disconcerting, in all honestly, but that would probably offend him. Kro decided to sit down on the pool side, next to him. Not too close, as to seem creepy, but not too far either, as to not seem disinterested. It was hard, making sure nobody got mad at you.
"So... You can see through time? That must be of some use, surely? But... It is understandable a disadvantage, too. "

Geoff decided to cook up some chicken stir-fry, and made plenty of it in case anyone wanted some. He nearly overfilled his bowl and chowed down at the table. He could eat the whole pot if he let himself.

Fable Perks up at hearing a distant howl, the sound is very distinct, Fable listens to the beautiful sound for a few moments until it fades away.
(honestly I wasn't sure if it was the servers or my internet, come to find out both were down. I am sure we'll get the chance again some other time)
fable lays back on the warm rocks looking up into the clouds. Fable thinks about home for a while feeling that familiar ache for the desert, the rocky tunnels ze called home with all the others of Fable's tribe. Ze wonders if any of the tribe still think of Fable, or if anyone even remembers ze anymore. As fable thought ze started to smell something rather good. Fable glanced back to the kitchen wondering if someone was making food- Fable got up from the grass and decided to investigate, yesterdays raw meat wasn't really the best of meals.

"I suppose it could be. Never really thought of it, it's just how things are as far I'm concerned." Kaleb wasn't really paying much attention to Kromas in terms of where he was sitting, not that he couldn't, he just didn't mind. He was however paying attention to what he was saying. "Never really thought much about the disadvantages and advantages of it." He quietly paused for a few moments.

Raz quickly clamored out of the sink cabinets and b-lined for the vent, his claws scratching the floor as he did; then soon getting to the vent and trying to fit his now plump belly into the vent with his front half.

"I guess that it would be helpful if you were some kind of... detective? Investigator? Whatever floats your metaphorical boat, sir."
Kro looked down at the water, moving his feet around in the water slightly. He didn't want to appear awkward or anything.

Kaleb quickly sat up and hopped up onto his feet, flashing a smile to the wolfsky at his side. "Suppose it could be, but I'm none of those things for now. I'm just some guy!" He extends a hand to Kromas. "Shall we head back and check on our neighbours?"

Kromas was slightly taken aback by this sudden burst of energy, but it made him feel somewhat more lighthearted.
"Yes, that seems as though it would be a grand idea, Sir!"
The Wolfsky took his hand, and got to his feet quite quickly. It was nice to see someone in a good mood, for a change.

Geoff's fork clattered into the bowl as the little dragon rocketed to the vent. He couldn't help but laugh at the sight.
"Haaa, hey you!"
He hopped from his chair and reached for the poor guy. "Too much stuffing, eh?"

Fable watched this scene with the dragon from the door way deciding to stay back and not be squished by all the movement. Fable watched the bear and dragon closely to try and get an understanding of all the people living here.

Kaleb nodded and did a heel turn, walking back towards the complex with a spring in his step. "Also, don't call me sir."

"Oh-urh, yeah, okay. Is there anything else you would prefer to go by?"
Kro hurriedly followed Kaleb.

Finally run out I slow and trot effortlessly to the main door and let myself in. As I open the door I smell stirfry and my stomach reminds me that it is dinnertime!
As I pass through I see Fable standing by the doorway looking toward the kitchen, then see Geoff in the kitchen knelt down wrestling with something. As I move closer I ask "What have you found there?"
From what I can tell it appears to be a smallish dragon, but things are not always as they appear.

"Kay is fine. It is my name after all!" Kaleb smirks as he say this. The two of them nearing the front door of the complex.

Geoff's fork clattered into the bowl as the little dragon rocketed to the vent. He couldn't help but laugh at the sight.
"Haaa, hey you!"
He hopped from his chair and reached for the poor guy. "Too much stuffing, eh?"
Raz heard the voice directed to him and he became more frantic trying to get into the vent, his tail thrashing behind him and his legs kicking to get his body in.

Fable is positive now in the decision to stay back. That thrashing tail could send ze flying very easily. "There is no reason to be afraid, I'm sure we could assist you in getting unstuck." Fable says to the dragon trying to put on their softest voice.

"Relax, little bud. You're alright..."
Geoff carefully plucked the little dragon from the vent.

Raz squirmed in Geoff's grip and tried to get away from him, making squeaks as he squrimed; thinking he was going to be hurt.

"It looks like hes been injured by someone..." Fable comments quietly not wanting to spook the dragon by speaking that loud. Ze could see all the bruises and cuts along the dragons body and felt so bad, It seemed so scared!

"Shh-shhh!..."
Geoff tried to keep hold of Raz, cradling him while gently petting his head. "I won't hurt you, goofy, you're alright..."

"Ah, yes, alright. O-Kay then?"
He was silent for a moment as he walked slightly behind his newfound friend.
"I apologize for the pun. I will attempt to bypass such comments in future."

Kaleb paused for a moment and frowned at the wolfsky, before guffawing loudly and slapping him on the back, though it barely felt like it to be honest. "Pfft! That was awful!"

"Good job, Geoff... that's probably the one who raided the fridge. Don't hurt him any more than he has been... "
There was something about the little dragons eyes, the pain there matched his physical condition... but the scent of fear is overpowering to me, so much so that I begin to feel it myself...
I move to the vent duct and block the opening with my body, but an careful not to show any aggression. "It's going to be okay Dragon, relax, we aren't going to hurt you, just don't run..."

Raz got scared by the new face and he tried to squirm again, getting really scared now.

"Geoff, try to hold him, I want to try something that works on the pups.."
Slowly reach out and place my right front paw on the dragon, starting on it's side and gently moving up the neck until my paw is on it's head. As I touch it I start a deep humm or murring sound. I calm myself and try my to pass that calm to the dragon. I close my eyes and think of a calm spot, the first I think of is the pond here in the lobby and how it made me feel. I slow my breathing and relax as much as I can while still keeping my paw in place.

Geoff quietly held Raz and watched as Naake ni hummed. It was something like meditation...

Not sure if this is working on the dragon, but I'm feeling more relaxed.... I continue thinking of the things that calm me, trying to pass that feeling, to give the dragon a little peace from whatever it has been dealing with.

Raz got confused for a moment as the paw was placed on him but as he figured that these two showed no danger to him, he became relaxed and slowly started to fall asleep from the petting and humming. He eventually fell asleep, content nor fear on his face... just sleepy.

Fable was taking mental notes of what was going on finding it all fascinating. when ze saw that the little dragon had fallen asleep fable said very softly "I wonder if it has been hiding in the vents or if Mr. night knew the dragons been staying here..."

open eyes and blink a couple of time, takes paw off the dragon after realizing it was sound asleep...
"Well, that might have worked to well... We'll have to wait until it wakes up and try to talk to it now."
Blink my eyes a few more times, get up a little unsteady "I think I need to go rest after that... If you have this now Geoff?''
Don't really wait for an answer before padding over to the stairs, take a deep breath and start up to my apartment "Ugh, had to pick one on the top floor."
Looks back at the others "good night all"

"good night naake ni" Fable says softly." Fable turns towards geoff "do you think any of the dragons cuts should be looked at? i should have some bandages in my bag and something to clean up some of the cuts if they look bad. Though... my bandages may be a tad small..."

Geoff smiled at Naake ni as he left. "Good night--uh, and thank you."
He looked down at the sleeping dragon in his arms. "Yeah..." he replied to the gecko. "Might as well try something. There's gotta be a first aid kit around here..."

"I'll try and locate one and see what i have up in my own room, its the least i can do." Fable lowered onto all fours to scurry about fast and find what is needed. First is the battle of the stairs, then the door into fable's room. Fable half figures by the time ze is of any help, that help will no longer be needed with how difficult getting around has proven. but from Fables bag ze pulls a few small jars of an antiseptic liquid, now just to find some bandages bigger then those that fable has.
The bathroom would be the next best bet so Fable scopes out the bathroom attached to the room fables been sleeping in and climbs around all the drawers and cabinets kicking out anything of use so that ze can collect all the useful items off the floor in a moment.

Grunan, who was irritated and somewhat tired, emerges from her room carrying several books she had brought up earlier. As she opens her door a small amount of smoke escapes the room, she shuts it hastily, not wanting any questions to be asked about where that smoke came for, or what she was doing to end up accidently setting fire to her furniture.
She then heads for the stairs, heading down towards the library hopefully things would be fairly quiet given the time. Though given what this place was like, she was not optimistic.

Once Fable had ahold if the basics ze thought ze would need Fable dragged a towel down off a small stack of clean towels to wrap up all the medical supplies ze had found and tied up the top of the towel. Fable knew ze was to small to carry all this but dragging would be much easier. As well the towel would let fable take a bit of a short cut.
It took longer then Fable liked to drag the bundle to the stairs but once there ze secured the knot once more and pushed the bundle down the stairs. the towel kept things from breaking which made fables life much easier as ze watched it tumble down the stairs climbing down after it.

Geoff sat down at a bench by the pond and cradled the baby dragon as he watched the koi swim about. He wondered how the poor guy got here, and why he was beat up like this... And Fable's trouble with the stairs.
The elevator would be easier... then again, the buttons were pretty high up for one of such stature. Maybe Zarco could rig something to help. Or he could do it himself, if the folf allowed...
He blinked at the thud and turned. "Oh hey, thanks."

Kaleb had kept walking without squinting his eyes or really focusing at all when he was talking to Kromas, before he knew it he was no longer with Kromas and had no idea where he was. Blinking a couple of times, he looked around for a sign or something to give clear indication and eventually found the library. He shrugged and decided to step inside, reading was a task he could focus on, so it'd keep his eyes under control.

Grunan moves down stairs, but pauses as she hears Fable who had just reached the bottom of the stairs, realizing they were moving away, she continues to the bottom and heads for the libary.

Fable dragged the towel of supplies back to the large bear and the small dragon huffing a little, its a long walk for little legs, "I hope i have everything youll need." Fable says quietly "Is it still asleep?"

Grunan moves into the library, and begins to put the books back, not really seeing Kaleb

Alka was on his way back from a day well spent drawing. Will have to come back some other time for a picnic. He had re-entered the building area through the same north path he exited through.

Geoff nodded. "Yeah..." he replied quietly "Sorry for having you carry all that, should'a picked it up myself..."
He set the dragon with care on the grass and began fixing up the wounds. "We should set up something to get you up there easier," he told Fable as he worked.

Kaleb was just about to get engrossed in the book he was reading, it didn't particularly interest him but it was nice for passing time, when the snake walked in, or were they a lizard. He goes to lean slightly in his chair to see what they're doing and overestimates how much he'd need to, causing himself to nearly slip out of his chair with a yelp.

There is a clatter of books as Grunan jumps and drops two of them on he floor. She sighs heavily. "I would appreciate you at least tried not to startle me." She states, not even turning round as she leans down to pick up the two books she had dropped.

"I'm quite used to it." Fable says with a shrug "I knew i would have to deal with this when i left my tribe. But thank you for the concern." Fable talks quietly and cleans some small cuts as gently as possible, "I am sorry, i haven't even introduced myself yet. My name is Fable, Fable maze."

There was a small chuckle from Kaleb as he stood up and closed the book he was reading, putting it back as he made his way over to Grunan. "I wasn't exactly trying to, just nearly fell over trying to see what you were returning." Leaning over to help as he spoke.

"Ah. I'm Geoffrey Noah." The bear said to the gecko. "I'm not from here either. Been traveling around for the last..."
He paused for a moment. "Uh... about a year, I think."

"I don't need help" Grunan states, scooping up the books quickly in order to try not to let Kaleb see them. "I'm putting books on a shelf. its not exactly rocket science"

"really? Meeting a fellow traveler is always interesting- may i ask why you travel?" fable asks cleaning up a particularly bad looking cut.

Kaleb tilts his head curiously and furrows his brow as he looks at the rather ungrateful woman, pondering on whether or not it'd be polite to let her know he was actually able to read all of the titles by the time she had picked up the books. They were some odd titles too like 'Teleportation circles: Point a, to b, in 0 steps', sounds like like a strange, magical version of a self help book. "So are you interested in magical things or...?" Oop, well there goes any chance of not letting her know, he grinned to himself as that thought crossed his mind.

Grunan sighs. "maybe I am, why do you care?" She asks, Exasperated.

"really? Meeting a fellow traveler is always interesting- may i ask why you travel?" fable asks cleaning up a particularly bad looking cut.
"Uh... Well, uh, long story short, I moved out to a friend's house but, uh, things didn't go well... had no money left so I went homeless." Geoff shrugged sheepishly. "So I took the chance to explore, I guess. Better than wasting away on the street."

"i can appreciate that, exploration is something i cherish, it allows me so many chances to learn."

"Oh, no reason. Just though that perhaps you'd like to take a look at my eyes for a moment, maybe tell me if you know anything about 'em." He continued to have the same, rather goofy grin on his face as he opened his eyes fully for her to take a look, already assuming she would be inclined to help him out. The slight green glow coming from the large irises lighting up the aisle ever so slightly.

Grunan turns, removing her hood as she glares at Kaleb, revealing the left half of her face was blackened and charred. Obviously a very old wound, and not one Grunan was ashamed of. She grins slightly for a moment, then pauses, seeing the reflections in Kalebs eyes. Suddenly, the irritation was gone from her voice. She leans in uncomfortably close for a better look. "Tell me exactly how this happened." She states. "And tell me exactly what it lets you see thats abnormal."

"really? Meeting a fellow traveler is always interesting- may i ask why you travel?" fable asks cleaning up a particularly bad looking cut.
Raz woke up abruptly as that cut was very sensitive and he tried to squirm to be let go as that hurt alot.

This gave Kaleb reason to pause and lose the grin, both in momentary concern at the burnt scales and to ponder the question, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck and chuckling nervously at the sudden intense questioning. "I'm not sure how you mean... I came out and I had big, glowy green eyes. Couldn't tell you anything beyond that, doctor's guess it was a birth defect but I've never heard of one that let's you see things from different time periods. Oh and that's what it lets me see, forward and back, things, people, that kind of stuff."
At this distance Grunan could tell it didn't just look like his irises took up most of his eyes, it seemed like they took up the whole thing, at least all that was visible.

fable jumped back "i'm sorry- I did not mean to harm you" Fable quickly says

Grunan narrows her eyes. "How far into the future or past?" she asks. "Is it controllable? Or completely random?"

Geoff tried to gently keep Raz from moving too much. "Oop! Hey, hey, you're okay, bud. We're almost done..."

"Erm... I don't know. Sometimes I see stuff from the eighties and seventies, a couple times if I haven't been paying attention to what;s going on around me I have seen stuff that looks Victorian or older. I assume it's the same going forwards, but that's harder to categorize because... Well they don't have names yet." He chuckled a little at that then glanced to the side when he realised it was probably not the time to try and be funny.

Grunan nods. "How exact can you go?" She asks. "Can you see me enter this room with the books... If you focus hard enough, can you see me leave after having this conversation?"

He paused for a few moment, creasing his brow as he tried to focus. Turning his head to follow Grunan as she left the room, only to look back and see Grunan right there. "Yup, as for seeing you walk back in I already saw that when I opened my eyes fully, as well as a few other things." Based off of the reflection in his eyes, "a few" was an understatement.

I wake laying on the 4th floor balcony, obviously didn't make it to my room, but the short nap seems to have helped me considerably. I never did get dinner, so decide to go back downstairs and hopefully find something interesting. I'm right beside the elevator doors so I push the button with my nose, the button lights up and I wait... and wait. I hear noise, but the elevator doors don't open, so I finally just pad back down the stairs.
As I re-enter the lobby I realize it's still quite busy for this time of early morning. I look at the clock.. 3:15 am... I can hear conversation from the library, sounds like Grunan and Kay in an interesting exchange, and I can see Fable and Geoff still with the little dragon, who is now awake and upset.
I pad over to the pond area and quietly ask "How's it doing?"

Grunan nods slowly. "There is not a lot I can do right now... do you mind coming to my room tommorow morning. I would like to run some tests..." she wwas looking at the wolfs eyes, trying to make out each and every reflection in them. She blinks and puts her hood back up. "I really, really, need to get some sleep." she states, and heads for the door, heading upstairs to her room.

"scared." fable says taking a few more steps away from the wiggling dragon just for safety. "but we got to take care of some of the cuts."

Kaleb watches her walk out the room for a second time, and goes back to squinting his eyes so he doesn't have to see anything else extra for a few moments. He had the distinct feeling he'd forgotten something before remembering he'd left his bag in the living room. Quickly, he goes to collect it and decides now would be a good time to actually visit his apartment for the first time.

"Yeah," Geoff replied. "I really wanna know how he got all these..."

Looks calmly at the little dragon, hoping to not need to try the pup thing again...
Asks in a deep though soothing voice "Can you talk to us? we want to help you if you will let us... I believe I can honestly say the three of us mean you no harm."
Lays down nearer to Geoff than to Fable (who had backed away), still looking calmly into the dragons eyes.

Raz calmed down and tried to speak, but his speech was in his native tongue... however, he could understand the others despite his language barrier

"Oh, must be fairly young, and recently out of his pack. Has not learned the language here yet..."
Looks back at the dragon "if you can understand at least our intent would you like us to continue treating your wounds?" Thinks quickly, "If so can you point to where it hurts?"

Raz slowly nodded and pointed to an infected wound near his wing joint, and the large wound that had been being treated earlier before he woke up; He also pointed to a nasty bruise on his underside, seemingly from being hit.

"Fable, since you seem to be the better size would you continue caring for our little dragon? I wish we could figure out what happened, or why the obvious happened..."
"Geoff, I never thought to say thank you for catching our little ransacker, and managing to hold on to it without hurting it further.... "
lays down still watching the dragon as it allows the wounds to be cared for. Temporarily not worried about my belly, at least until the more urgent things are handled.
When the little Dragon is cleaned up and taken care of I get up and get some of the Stirfry Geoff made, and finally eat, then doze off laying by the pool.

Kaleb rose out of bed earlier and decided to spend some of his morning hanging the few clothes he'd brought with him up in his wardrobe, choosing to wear a baggy shirt and jeans as he did. He remembered that Grunan had asked him to come visit her but had come to the realisation he had no idea where he'd actually go to find the snake woman. He left his apartment with a shrug, a bowl of cereal in his hands as he did, eating as he tried to think of where to look whilst standing outside his door.

While Fable patched up Razuel, Geoff had quickly contained the stir-fry and put it in the fridge with a note stating it was free for anyone to eat. He then took the little dragon to his apartment to sleep.
Once the bear woke up, he quickly cooked up some cheesy scrambled eggs for the dragon and set the plate on the bed where he slept. He didn't know if dragons even liked eggs and cheese, but given the poor thing's feast yesterday, he probably wasn't picky. Geoff then left the apartment with the door cracked open just in case the dragon wanted out later on. He hoped he felt safer around the place now, with no more need for vent-crawling.

Grunan was in her room. sitting at a desk looking over her notes, Continuing to do her research, both into Kaleb's eyes, and her own issues with magic. She had made some progress, but not as much as she would have liked.

Kaleb was about to put a spoonful of cereal into his mouth when he had an idea. He made his way towards the steps and tried to think back to when he was in the library, tapping a foot against the floor until he saw what he was waiting for. When he saw a past version of Grunan walk past him, he allowed himself a moment to feel smart before following her. Eventually reaching her door as she did, occupying the same space as he knocked on the door.

Grunan glances over her shoulder. She quickly puts the papers into a folder, and places them inside the desk. She then gets up, and moves to the door, cautiously opening it. "Kaleb. I was wondering when you would arrive." She states,opening the door just enough to let Kaleb into the room.

Kaleb smiles as he steps inside the room and takes a casual glance around, cereal bowl still in hand. Casually raising the spoon to his mouth and crunching on a mouthful of cereal as he gives the snake an inquisitive look, not wanting to be rude and talk with his mouth full, especially not in another person's apartment.

Kromas opened his eyes, swinging his legs off the bed and groggily shuffling over to his mirror. The treehouse was calm. Quiet. Away from annoyances, people, intrusions. Just the Prince, the wood and the gentle air that crawled ever so delicately over his coarse fur. He had always had brittle fur- it was one of the reasons that physical contact freaked him out so much- generally, graphite was not the softest of materials. However, it did mean that it needn't ever be trimmed or brushed- it just stayed as it was.
He moved through to the small living space, and moved over to the window. Looking out over the complex, he wondered what was going on, who was about, you get the idea. But, for now, he decided he would just chill. Turning around, and moving over to the coffee table, he turned on the radio, which spat out static as it came alive.

Grunan's room is fairly large, with what looked like an old fashined fire place on the wall to the right, a single bed set against the wall directly ahead, and a lot of empty space in the middle. Along the other 2 walls were various bookshelves, cupboards, and other such things. The middle of the room seemed to be empty, though someone had thrown a rug down on the wooden floor fairly hastily.
A pair of chairs were placed near the fire.
Grunan herself was wearing her thick robes as normal, but her hood was down, and her hands were visible. confirming that her left hand suffered from the same injury as her face.
"Go sit. I have some equipment to go collect." She states, gesturing to the chairs near the fireplace, she then moves to one of the various cupboards, carefully opening it to look for something.

"M'kay." Kaleb made his way over to the chairs and sat down in one of them. Slumping down in it a little. He scratched his chin for a moment as he thought, deciding to open his eyes fully and watch the hastily put down rug, waiting to see the moment it was put down, or what was there before it was put down.

Grunan rummages in the cupboard, before pulling out a couple of magnifying glasses. She then carefully closes the cupboard, before looking back at Kaleb.
About this time the previous day, Grunan had been in this room scrawling a circle, and a bunch of arcane symbols, in chalk on the floor, under where the rug is now. She also lit a set of candles, which were placed around the circle at regular intervals. She then had crouched down in then crouched in the middle of the circle. After a brief period of her sitting, apparently in silence. there was a sudden burst of blue fire from the candles.
Grunan looks over at Kaleb, before moving fairly quickly over to him, "Kaleb. Its rude to stare" She states. Realizing what he must be doing. "If you have questions why not just ask?" She waves a hand in front of his face, trying to force him to focus on the present.

Kaleb blinked and squinted his eyes again, looking more than a little flustered. "Oh, sorry. I was just experimenting with it a little, is all. So erm... What exactly were you doing anyway? Other than magic stuff, obviously."

Geoff paced around outside the south entrance while in thought per usual. Maybe Psychic Ciara will be coming today, if that sparrow's info was real in the first place. 'Soon' was a rather vague word to use...
He strolled to the treehouse in curiosity. If he remembered correctly, that potentially-demonic wolf-like guy moved in there.

"Setting my furniture on fire." She replies. Po-faced. "now, your eyes... open them wide, and look at me." She pulls out a magnifying glass, ready to closely examine Kaleb's eyes.

"Got my heart burning, I lost my spell. Can't see you turning up, this looks like he-"
At that moment, Kro glided past the window, only just noticing somebody outside. He was continuing on, but he slowly slid backwards, looking out of the window. It was the bear form the entrance a few days ago- and they were heading this way. He gave a somewhat semi-confident wave. Kro, if it had been ten minutes ago, would've panicked at the untidy mess of a front room he was standing in. But it was clean now, so he had no objections to greeting a new person.
As he made his way over to the hatch, he turned off the radio. He leaned over, unlocked the hatch, and stuck his head down from within the treehouse, looking at the new person.
"Uh.. hey, sir, nice to meet you!"
He tried to sound as upfront and honest as possible, smiling somewhat too. He knew that first impressions mattered...

"Oooh, okay then... Fair enough, I suppose." Kaleb shrugged and opened his eyes widely, staring right at Grunan, his large, glowing green irises staring at her as she got a close look at them with the magnifying glass. Not as much being reflected in them as there was previously on the lower floors, though the walls can clearly be seen flickering in and out of existence and several birds fly through where they would be. It's hard to tell if his eyes have pupils, though there is a darker green spot near the middle which could perhaps be it. In fact, Grunan could also swear she see this part move.

Grunan looks at his eyes. "Ever had any problems with colours?" she asks, switching to a different magnifying glass, with a higher magnification. She wanted to see EXACTLY what it was Underneath the green irises.

Geoff smiled and waved at the wolf guy. He wasn't too sure what to say, though. "H-Hey. ... Uh, I saw you a couple days ago, right? Was too tired to greet anyone then, heh..."

Kaleb fidgeted and squirmed as Grunan stared at his eyes with the magnifying glass, the whole situation was a little odd., though if it gave him answers it'd be worth it. Upon closer inspection, the pupil does appear to move, specifically, it seems to rotate, as well as grow and shrink at an odd rate, it doesn't seem to be a reaction to light. There's no way to be certain whilst his eyes are still in his head but it also seems like the Strange green colour isn't actually his iris, but in fact his entire eye. Whatever it was, it wasn't normal, not even close to being so.

"Ah, urh, yes! My apologies for not being more forward and... Well, I'm sorry for not saying hello beforehand, Sir."
Kro dissipated from sight for a moment, as the shapeless grey cloud that replaced him glided down to the ground somewhat slowly. As it touched the ground, Kro began to reform, from the feet up. It was almost as though he was being filled in, like a how something can be molded, solidified and used to whatever end. He then offered the bear his hand for a handshake.
"It is a p-pleasure to meet you, Sir. May I, perhaps, ask your name? It is fine if not, sir."

"Rotating... probably not alive in its own right..." Grunan pauses. "Could it be a rift? no... then he would be dead." She mutters. "Need more information... I apologize for this." She reaches out her right hand, and gently touches Kalebs eye, just above the 'Pupil', while Watching how the eye reacts.

Raz woke up and looked around the apartment he was in, his nose turning to the air to soon find the food. Raz quickly went to the food and began to eat it. When finished, Raz hopped off the bed and did a sort of glide, to then he hit a wall, causing him to make a squeaking yelp and a thud from the impact, and another thud as he hit the ground... he seemed fine as he got up and walked out of Geoff's room to then look around the floor he was on... still hungry...

Kaleb nearly recoils as Grunan gently touches his eye, gripping the arm rests as he tries to not yelp or freak out at the feeling and stinging in his eye at the contact. At the touch his whole eye seems to rotate, different parts in different directions, almost as if moving as separate segments, the pupil shrinking and growing even more rapidly, in a way that invokes ideas of panic, before a sudden arcane shock goes through Grunan's hand.

"Ah, well, nice to meet you, Mr Geoffrey. A-and, urh, my name is Kromas Ndorai. Most people refer to me as Kro. Or Kromas. Whatever you prefer, sir."
Kro was slightly taken aback by the grin that cracked across the bear's face, deciding to respond with a slightly more pronounced smile than what he was already doing. It was probably just a custom or something from around these places.

Grunan recoils. She is not usually the sort to respond to pain, but that actually hurt, and even she was not able to hide that fact. "Facinating..." She states, rubbing her hand in her robes to try to numb the pain. "Almost certainly alive. or at least aware." She states. "I guess that implies a parasite? No, more like a symbiont..." She glances down at her hand, making sure there were no scorch marks left from the shock. "So that means your eyes are alive in some sense"

It hit Geoff how awkward he must have looked. "Ah, uh... That... smoke thing. That's... friggen awesome."
He grinned again, then hesitated for a moment. "Uh, if you don't mind me asking, do you happen to be a demon?"

Kaleb stared blankly at her for a few moment, confused by what she was suggesting and having to try and process it for a moment. Once he'd gotten a hold of himself he looked down at her hand with some concern. "You alright, and are you sure?" He was wincing a little, Grunan was not the only one to feel the shock.

"Oh, the.. Urh... Heh, thank you, Sir. And yes, I am a derivative of the hellscape, unfortunately..."
Kro stifles a slight chuckle, before focusing back on the bear.
"You're not gonna try to... kill me or anything, are you? Or tell people about... it?"
Those thoughts rung with severity inside what would be his own cranium, if he had one. Bones seemed to have been left out when he had been created, much like how he lacked a heart, in the literal sense.

Grunan looks up. "Not certain." she states. "But the way it moves, they way it panics, and the way it even defends itself, all points to some form of intelligence." She states. "Unless you did that of course."
"Question is, what is it, and who put it there." Grunan states. "Also, was it deliberate, and if so, why..." Grunan stops, thinking hard, sitting in silence for several seconds.

Geoff shook his head, somewhat surprised to hear such concern about it at first. "No, sir. I, uh, can apparently... sense things, like demons and the like. Just wondered if I was correct..."

Kaleb sat in silence as well, thinking hard on the exact same questions, as well as how strange it would be if his eyes are in fact alive. His foot tapping on the floor as he thought, coming to an abrupt stop as he had an idea. "I... Could try and see where they came from. Right?"

"Ah, t-thank you. I am eternally grateful, sir. Also, please do not feel the need to refer to me as Sir, sir..."
Despite him somewhat confusing himself with those last words, he shook it off, and held one hand out to the side of himself. Quite quickly, some smoke trailed across his arm, congregating on his palm, rising upwards before being re-absorbed back down into his hand. It looked... strange. He often did it and just stared into the rising and falling smoke pillars on his hand.
"Well, if you can detect beings with afflictions such as mine, that must surely be of great advantage to you, sir.

Grunan blinks, then slowly grins. "You know you had them at birth. So all you need to do is go back to where you were born... yes. That could actually work..." She turns to face him. "Where were you born?" She asks. "Was it anywhere nearby?"

Raz came down to the lobby, staying behind the furniture due to how skeptic he is of everything.

"Not too far, few towns away. I hitchhiked here, essentially so, yeah not that far away." Kaleb blinks a couple of times, his eyes still stinging from the shock and the poking. Assuming he's okay to go back to squinting now. " I would probably be able to guide you there. That or we could just follow me but backwards, I suppose."

Geoff shrugged. "Y-Yeah, I guess so. I knew something was up for a long time. I'm just now figuring it out..."

"If you don't mind, I would like to accompany you." Grunan states. "When do you plan to leave?"

Kro closed his hand, reabsorbing all the smoke as he did.
"Ah. Well, if I can be of any assistance to you in discovering it's potential, I will be happy to be of service. In addition, if you require any information on my... kind, f-feel free to ask questions, sir."
Kro looked at Geoff with a sincere smile. It was nice, making friends. Comforting, even.

"I'm not sure, whenever is good I suppose. I can't exactly drive so I won't be able to go myself, as I don't feel like hiking it again." Kaleb shrugs and goes back to slouching in the chair like he was earlier.

Grunan stops and thinks. "I usually don't travel. Still, money is rarely a problem for me..." She stands up. "I will see what I can arrange, it will probably be a taxi or bus I'm afraid." She moves back to the cupboard to put the magnifying glasses away.

Wakes up, still laying by the pond (amazing how calming it is), sensing something near. Reaching out I somehow knows where it is without seeing it, similar to knowing where hismy pups were...
Slowly gets up, stretches, and pads over in the direction 'it" is... Looking behind the furniture he finds the dragon...
"Good afternoon Little Dragon, I hope you slept well."
Turns to pad to the door, stops and looks back. "I need to go outside, if you would like to tag along you are welcome to ride on my shoulders."
Waits patiently for the little dragon to decide

Kaleb rose out of the chair and stretched a little, letting out a small grunt as he did. "That'd be fine. I'm probably going to head to the library for a bit to relax for now, so you know where to find me."

Grunan nods, moving over to the door to open it. "I'm sorry about prodding your eye. It was the easiest way to get the information I needed." She states. "I admit it probably hurt me more than it hurt you though, so I guess apologizing is not really necessary." She opens the door for Kaleb. "I will tell you when I have transport we can use."

Raz eeped by the sudden attention and as he looked around, not finding anything fun to do, he decided to follow Naaki ni, keeping his head low, and as he got to Naaki, he jumped up onto their shoulders

Lets the dragon settle in, then pads over to the door, pushes it open and goes out. Stops and looks back into the lobby at the clock.. "11:30 already?? I slept all day again?"
Pads out onto the grounds , intending to head to the rough by the woods, but sees Geoff and the Wolfsky near the treehouse, so goes that direction instead.

Kaleb nods and smiles widely at Grunan as he walks out of the apartment. "Okay, sounds great to me. See ya later,"

Alka got up and out of his room, wearing virtually the same casual wear as before. He was pondering about the supernatural occurances that were said to happen frequently within these hills, but weren't happening at all now that he was here. He didn't let it bother him too much, seeing Kaleb exit Grunan's apartment. Alka waved hello as he began heading downstairs.

Approaches the treehouse, calls out "Hey Geoff, Hey ... umm... Sorry, I guess I never got your name.."
Looks towards Geoff "Look who I found wandering around the Lobby..."

Kro looked at the approaching people, sighing.
"See you later, Sir."
Kro turned to smoke, which seeped back up into the treehouse. Once inside, Kro shut the hatch, ad locked it once again...

Raz tried to hide himself on Naaki's back... but failed... as they approached the others

Geoff frowned briefly as Kro disappeared, but his smile returned as he turned back to Naake ni and Raz.
"Ayy, there you are. Feeling better?" he asked the dragon.

Stops by Geoff and looks at him, then up at the tree house. "Sorry, guess I should have waited until you were done talking... "
Turns and looks at the dragon "I felt you tense up and crouch down dragon. Trust me, I won't let anyone hurt you while you are my guest. BUT, I am sorry if it made you uncomfortable... "
Looks back to Geoff "Any plans? Was just taking a walk around the yard to stretch my legs adn get some fresh air."

Geoff shook his head. "No. I was kinda waiting for someone. Maybe they're not coming today..."
The bear gently pet Raz on the head. "I'd like to figure what happened to this little guy, but, uh, can't speak dragon, heh..."
Then it hit him. "Oh! Maybe another resident can understand him. Are there any other dragons around here?"

"I'm not sure... but we can ask. There is the lady in the black robe... Grunan, I think.. She seems pretty well educated, just not sure about her yet..."
Starts padding out toward the rough at the edge of the grounds. hoping to make a lap before going in, even this late.

Raz felt more at ease and he detensed(Untensed? untensifies?) his body and felt a sense of trust to these two, but when they would pass people, Raz would tense up until they would be passed

Alka made his way downstairs, realising what the time was. "Well... It seems my sense of time is a bit out of whack... Best try to get myself to sleep now so I can adjust to the time zone a bit better." He looked back up the stairs and silently sighed going back up to his room.

Feels the dragon relax as I walk around, but tenses up if we see anyone else.
Come back to the door to the lobby, have to grab the handle with my teeth to turn and pull the door open. mutters under my breath "really need to talk to Zarco about a better way..."
Pads inside, checks clock then asks Razuel "Want to get something to eat before we head to bed? could use a bite... " Heads to the kitchen and pulls the fridge open. Finds the pot of stirfry that Geoff made and pulls it out. finds a skillet with a wooden handle, dumps the stirfry in and puts it on the stove to heat. After it warms up finds a couple of plates, manages to get them to the table, then gets the pan and dumps it on the plates, makes a mess, but will clean it up when done.
While near the table I tell Razuel "Hop off and dig in, just leave one for me."
I eat and clean up the mess, then head up stairs for my apartment, and my now favorite comforter.

Raz had poked at the food before he ate it, then as he saw Naake head off, Raz quickly followed, stumbling a bit, but he followed and would cuddle up next to Naake to sleep.

Kro watched the world go by as he gazed from one of the treehouse windows. Ideas danced around his mind like dancers, elegantly hammering repeating patterns into his mind. Should I have said? Who may they tell? Who might seek it? Why does it matter?
In truth, Kro knew it didn't matter. None of this did- it was all ephemeral. He, without his life, was not. While he was still "new" as such, he was faulty. Unlike the other Princes, in one way or another. Would that prevent him from growing old? Would it cause him to decay? More questions he did not know answers to. He didn't even know if the surface even knew of the Princes. That was... comforting, really, for as long as he entertained the thought that it could be true.
He opened the hatch, jumping down, and sat by the base of the tree. Leaning up against the bark, he looked up to the sky, and all the small shapes swirling with in't endless expanse. He often wondered about it- how far it went, what it knew, and who controls it. Yet more unanswered questions.
He relaxed as he watched the sky, whistling a tune to himself.

Wakes in early afternoon still piled up in the comforter on the balcony. When I shift around I feel something else in the comforter and look.. it appears to be the little dragon...
I quietly get up trying not to wake the dragon and pad inside and look around... If I am going to be here a while I'd like to make the apartment feel more like home, like my den... but not sure how or what to do, so I decide to head downstairs. I pull the trashcan over to hold the door open in case the dragon wakes and wants out, then pad down the steps, cross the lobby and let myself out for a walk-about.
Pad along thinking, wondering why I'm here and for how long... I change my focus to the energy around me, the ebb and flow as I go by different areas, the shades of the energy as they change. I occasionally stop and bask in some of the 'warm' spots, feeling the energy coursing through me, then hurry a little through other 'darker' spots.
In my travels around the complex I pass near the tree house and see the Wolfsky sitting under the tree, not sure if he sees me or not, I just keep my distance. Not really looking to talk right now, and the energy in that area ... hhmmm...

Kro continues looking to the sky, now quietly singing under his breath.
"Oh, I'm losing time, I'm losing touch, and all these little things seem to matter so much...
That they confuse you..."
He briefly catches a glimpse of someone else, seemingly keeping a low profile. Feral, by the looks. Wolf, most probably. He decided not to try and contact the being, but instead turned his head back up to the sky, continuing to sing to himself.

After my walk-about I go back to the lobby, and then into the library. Looking through the rack I find a shelf on Native American Shamanism, and a couple on Spirit animals, Awakening, etc... I pull each carefully off the shelf and carry them over to a sheltered spot on the floor near the lobby pond before laying down and flipping the first open and starting into it.
(Yes, I'm feral, but not uneducated....)
I lay there for quite a while reading and thinking, aware of my surroundings, but intent on the books, occasionally murmuring or chanting quietly, or getting up and stretching and looking around the lobby before going back to my reading.

Fable wakes up feeling rather cold, after helping with the little dragons injuries Fable was more than a bit tired and slept practically all day, Hoping to both get warm and get some much needed food Fable got up out of bed and made their way out of the room and down the stairs carefully.

It had been days since Geoff moved in yet he hadn't bothered to unpack. He plucked out every item in his large backpack and set it on his floor to sort out. Every piece of clothing and blanket in there was rolled up to an incredibly tiny size to allow space for whatever else he could throw in while scavenging in abandoned houses and trash cans. Admittedly, a huge chunk of his time throughout the year was spent shuffling through his bag, reluctantly swapping out items for more useful finds to stuff in there. Such was the life of a homeless hoarder.

When Fable got down the stairs finally ze decided not to try and get something from the kitchen and just went outside to hunt down some bugs, those were much more delicious anyways~

Kro sighed, getting to his feet. He continued singing as he lent against the tree, watching the sky.
Oh, how he longed to be under such controlled freedom as are the clouds.

Seko walked up the path to the main entrance, stopping briefly to look at things he found interesting. From a small messenger bag he quickly, albeit clumsily, took out a camera and took some snaps of the tree-house in the distance. "Huh!" he said to himself, fiddling with the strap of his bag and returning his camera to it. He continued onwards to the front door of the apartments.

Puzzled, Kromas watched as some... Panda? Yeah, it seemed so, walked past, taking pictures of Kro's home, as he stood under it, leaning against the tree. He didn't cause a fuss, but it was concerning. People didn't just take pictures like that, did they?
He was worried about that one. Best to be careful, he thought, as he watched the Panda approach the front door of the complex...

Once finished sorting out his things, Geoff hopped down to the lobby. Maybe the psychic was coming today...

Reaching the front entrance, he pressed the bell to the side of the door and waited.

Geoff just reached the pond when the bell sounded. He walked over to open the door.
"Hello."

"Oh! Hello! You must be the owner of the apartments! Very nice to meet you. I heard that there was paranormal phenomena here so I grabbed my camera and came as fast as I could (Which is pretty fast!) and-" He speaks for several minutes, too fast to interrupt, but the words start to blend together.
"So anyway!" he says abruptly "My name's Seko, it's a pleasure to meet you!". He holds his hand out for a handshake.

Looks up from my reading as the doorbell rings... Can't see the door from where I am, but sees Geoff pass within a few feet of me as he passes the pond, as he passes I call out "good day Geoff" but don't think he heard.
Watches the interaction at the door, amused..
Stretches and goes back to reading, this one is: Evolution and Downfall of the Human Species I read the chapters on Native Americans and Human magic with interest.

The bear grinned awkwardly while shaking Seko's hand. "I-Uh, I'm not the owner, b-but nice to meet you too, heh! I'm Geoffrey. Geoff for short."

Once tired of catching bugs, and with a full belly to prove it, Fable walks the grounds looking for some nice sun rays to nap in and warm up, Ze ends up near the tree house but doesn't wish to disturb the residence so tries to stay at a bit of a distance.

"Huh..."
Kro climbed back up the ladder of the treehouse, and locked the hatch. After that, he let go of the ladder, dissipating into smoke as he did. The shapeless, grey cloud drifted over towards the doors of the apartments. It went over the heads of both the panda and the bear, and pooled on the floor behind Geoff. Slowly, Kro reformed, and turned briefly.
"Good day, S-Sirs."
He then turned back, took a step away from the two.

A look of awkward terror dances across Seko's face for a moment "O-oh...uh...um...Nice to meet you, Geoff. You must be one of the residents then, right? Perhaps you can help me. I traveled here to investigate some paranormal happenings so I can document them. You haven't seen anything like tha-"
He notices Kro casually Houdini-ing.
"u-uh...uhhhhh...that...uh...um..." He fiddles with the straps of his bag, takes out his camera, and takes a picture of Kro. He then quickly hides the camera again.
"I like this place already!" He beams at Geoff

Geoff turned and smiled at Kro as he spoke. "Heh, yeah. Looks like this area attracts a lot of spooky things."

Upon hearing a distinct 'click' of a camera, Kro turned on his heel, fixing a stern gaze on who he suspected took the picture- the Panda.
"Was that a picture, Sir? I will have to... kindly ask you to refrain from taking pictures of me, thank you."
He spoke in a firm tone. He was not best pleased.

"I...was merely documenting the situation...it won't happen again, sorry!" Seko said, apologising profusely.

"Documenting? Just... Don't go around taking photos of people without their permission. It's rude. And will possibly annoy the landlord. Anyway, if you intend to stay here, pick a room, get settled in. I will let the owner know of your presence, Sir."
Kro's face returned to his normal nonchalant expression.
"Is there anything else you require, sir?"

"N-no, nothing else...thank you" He had, rather embarrassed.

"As you wish, Sir. See you around. You too, Sir Geoff."
And with that, Kro once more turned on his heel, and walked into the complex, fading back into shapeless grey smoke as he did. It floated aimlessly around for a while.

Despite being severely tempted he doesn't nab a photo of Kro's transformation, instead wandering past Geoff. "I'll seeya round, Geoff" He says, climbing the stairs in search of a vacant room to occupy.

Geoff nodded. "a'ight..."
Strange fellow. That meeting scrambled Geoff's brain a little. What was he doing again? Oh right, waiting for someone who might never come. That was the only thing that held his concern at this point aside from the mysterious dragon issue. But even the latter wasn't too big a concern now. As long as the little dragon wasn't abused by a fellow resident, he should be safe around here and heal up fine. But once the bear finds out who or what did it... he may be a timid coward on most days, but seeing hurt kids was the one thing that brought out the beast, no matter if they were feral dragons or not.
He sighed and walked out to the training area. Now with a proper residence and constant food source, he could spend his time working his strength back up.

Seko wandered around the 2nd floor until he found an unoccupied room with no signs of an owner. "Ah...this should do" he thought, unpacking his things and making a mental note to get the key to the room later.

After awaking from their nap Fable streched and felt quite lazy, In fact Fable felt like since coming here ze has been quite lazy. Knowing that ze did not want to start getting to lazy ze got up and walked into the building wondering what to do. Looking around the front room Fable found some maps of the ground and the list of rooms. So far Fable has only been upstairs, In the main room, the kitchen, and pond. Reading now that there was a library was great news, yet Fable assumed it would be another great tast to try and get books down with how big everything else here is. But away Fable walked towards the library.

I finally finish reading the stack of books I pulled up and start taking books back one at a time and putting them away. It's not far from the pond to the library, but it still takes a bit due to the number of books I had out. The rack system seems to know where each book is supposed to go and rolls the track shelf accordingly.
Realizing what time it is I decide that after I'm done I'll go poke around the kitchen and see if I can find something to eat, then head to bead a little earlier tonight.
Wondering where several of the new residents have been today, though maybe I just missed them while I was reading.

*Zarco slowly awoke from his slumber, he climbed out of bed and got himself dressed*
*After a few minutes he exited his room and made his way down the stairs and towards the kitchen*

Kaleb was crouched down next to the pond in the garden area, observing the koi with a serene and contented expression. Their lives seemed so simple, they just swam about with no worries, especially about whether or not their eyes were alive or parasites, or whatever.

Fable awoke in the library laying on the magazine ze was reading yesterday. ze can't help but chuckle. Falling asleep on a article wasn't a normal occurance to the little lizard but the article had been very interesting from what fable remembers. But now would be a good time to hunt down some more food to keep the stomach filled for today.
It was a bit more difficult to put away the magazine, much more then pulling it down off the shelf yesterday had been. But eventually Fable manages and drops down to the floor to pad out of the library and head to the front doors.

Kro woke up once gain, on the comforting springs that he had come to know as his mattress. The bed was soft and relatively warm, among other things. However, he did have a tendency to leave marks, caused by graphite. It was almost as if a pencil had repeatedly scored the sheets. It meant he had to wash it often, but he decided to do that later. Now, he decided to get dressed, and head down into the apartments.
After a few minutes, and walking over to the complex, he entered the main floor and went over towards the pond. He stood by a bench, watching people do whatever they went about doing. Kayleb, watching the fish, Zarco, getting food, Fable, heading outside, and whoever else went past. It seemed so normal...
He began whistling to himself. The tune was jovial, yet melancholic.

*Zarco wandered through into the kitchen and decided to just get some toast for now, he wasn't particularly hungry but he hadn't eaten much today*
*He placed some bread into the toaster and turned it on, leaning against the counter and waiting for the toast to jump out.*

As he continued whistling, Kro followed Zarc into the kitchen, and shortly after Zarco put his toast on, stopped whistling.
"U-uh, hey Sir, Zarco, wait, that was your name, right Sir?"
He took a seat from the table and sat on it.

*Zarco looked over at you as you started speaking to him*
Yeah, I'm Zarco. Do you need me for anything?
Hopefully the tree house is alright for you, you're welcome to change rooms if that's what you're after

"O-oh, not quite sir. I am perfectly happy with my current accommodation- I absolutely love it- I just wanted to speak to you, see how you are, see if there is anything I can do for you, as repayment for providing me with such a nice place to stay."
Kro smiled slightly as he talked, trying to be more inviting than his usual blank expression made him appear.

*Zarco caught the toast as it popped out and placed it onto a plate, he started to butter it*

"Urh.. If you are sure, then so be it. It is in my nature to call people by Sir or Ma'am, but I will happily address you be something else if you so wish. Would you prefer to be called Zarco, Zarc, or anything else you can think of that you would prefer?"
He watched as Zarco caught the toast.
"Nice catch!"

"Good to hear you're doing well, Zarco. As for myself, Not too bad, all things considered. It's odd going back to a normal lifestyle, honestly. It's just a bit odd having people not persecute me for being... yaknow... a Demon, and all."
He took a moment to think.
"Speaking of demons, I think there may be another demonic source in this complex. I can feel it... But it's not something I'm sure on. Can't, like, locate or pinpoint it. It's odd- its just... I can't shake the feeling about it. Do you know if there's another demon here, anywhere?"
He took another moment to think.
"U-uh, sorry. I must seem quite insensitive. My apologies. Just... Disregard what I said. Sorry."

*Zarco sighed a little and looked down slightly*
..You're talking to him I'm afraid. I may not look like it but I'm part demon, I have a demonic heart as well as demonic blood.
I'm aware that you're a demon but it doesn't really bother me much, I know demons can be nice.

Kro smiled. It was a legitimate smile. First one in a long time. However, he could see that Zarco was... Upset? No... Agitated? Maybe. Had Kro annoyed him by bringing this up? That gnawed at him. Again, another screw up on his end. He stood up, and placed a hand on Zarco's shoulder.
"Hey, I'm not gonna berate you or anything. If anything, I'm actually pretty pleased. If I knew the landlord here was a demon, I'd have been here much sooner. I know we're... Well, demons aren't all bad. I know that. And look at you- you're providing crucial support to many people. So how's that anything bad?"
Too forward. Kro was sure he was screwing this up.
"What I'm trying to say, I guess, is that I'm glad to have found another person with a similar... Affliction? Or maybe niche. Yeah, a niche. Just... "
He paused for a moment.
"To be honest, I'm kinda speechless. I hadn't anticipated meeting another demon here. I must... Look real dumb saying all this."
He paused again.
"Sorry."

I'm kind of glad that I gained these powers, I've been able to help many more people than I would without them.. that's for sure.
No problem, I'm curious of where in hell you've been.. well, assuming you went there. I know some demons haven't even visited hell.
*He seemed to lighten up a little bit as you talked about it all*

"Huh... Well, I spent a fair bit of my time in the... Urganta Complex. Most people just call it the... torture cells."
He sighed.
"Not the... nicest of places. Also been around to the Empirical Fortress, Verdan Ritual Site, you get the idea. Spent a lot more time down in those places then I'd like to admit. I'd love to see all those places... Burnt... Destroyed."
His grip tightened a bit as he mentioned those place names, not to any kind of discomfort, but it was there.

Geoff had another odd dream that night. Two foxes said something about two children from the underworlds being reincarnated. Now that's weird. That one was probably a normal dream rather than spirit talk. He wasn't too sure anymore.
He hopped downstairs and into the community kitchen.

"Ah... I can attest to that, my friend. At least we're up here not, and not down there anymore."
He smiled at Zarco. As he heard Geoff make his way into the kitchen, a small pool of smoke formed on the back of his head, that then waved.
"And hey Geoff."

*He nods a little and finishes off his toast for now, he could hear someone approaching and decided it would probably for the best to change topics for a bit*

As Fable finished the little hunt ze heard an over head bird and quickly determined time outside was now very early and scrambled to the front door to quickly go inside. Once inside Fable wasn't sure what ze wanted to do so ze wandered to the pond to watch the fish a while.

"Well, I came here due to needing a place to stay. And if you mean the kitchen... Really just to talk to you. Maybe get something to 'eat'."

Geoff waved as he walked straight to the fridge. "Heh, hey!"
He poked his head into the fridge and, upon seeing the container of stir-fry was gone, grinned stupidly.
"Yes! People ate my stirfry!"
He grabbed a couple eggs, shredded cheese, and some broccoli, set it all by the stove... then put that quest on hold to quickly prepare some coffee. The residents have never seen him this hyperactive before.
"I, uh, didn't intrude, did I?"

Kro went over to the fridge shortly after Geoff closed it, and grabbed a slice of meat from within the depths of the icy chill-box. He then sat down at the table, and held it in his hand. It seemed to shrivel up slightly over time. He watched the conversation in front of him unfold as he absorbed the carbon from the meat.

Geoff's arm seemed to jitter as he poured the water into the coffee machine.
"Pretty good!" he replied while pressing down the switch. "Got a good workout in yesterday. M-might have overdone it a tad."
He shrugged. "But, eh."
He began preparing his omelette while chatting.

Seko sat on the bed in the room he claimed, sighing loudly. "Unpacked...finally!" he muttered, flopping backwards onto a pillow.
"Now I just need to--" he started, staring up at the moon hanging in the sky. He was in an open field now, alone. He held up his hand and watched as it fluctuated, appearing solid, ghostly, unstable and frightening.
"W-what is this?!" He bolted upright and stared around, once again safely in his room and unsure of what just happened. He'd experienced these... visions?... journeys?... he wasn't sure... before, but they always passed quickly.

"Hey, Geoff- Any plans for the day?"
Kro turned to look at Geoff, who was preparing his omelette.

When fable got to the pond ze noticed another resident but they looked deep in thought so ze just sat and watched the fish swim about.

"Nope. Maybe more working ou-- Hey, you do any fighting? Like, martial arts or whatever?"
The bear placed the cover on the pan and turned around to face the prince, resting his hand on the counter.
"I-I'm not the best at it, but I trained with a friend back in school a little."

"Well, yeah, kinda. Not properly, but I've learned a kind of style that uses my powers to the maxim."
Kro looked at Geoff quizzically.
"You wanna spar or train or something? I'd be up for that."

Geoff grinned. "Yeah. But, uh, I don't have any powers, so keep that in mind, I guess."

"Oh, yes, yes, yes, of course. I wouldn't want to actually hurt you or anything, Geoff."
Kro threw the now drained piece of meat into the bin.

Geoff poured a cup of coffee and placed his omelette on a plate. "I sure hope so." he chuckled as he grabbed some coffee creamer.
He added it to his coffee then walked to the table to eat.

"I mean, what kind of reason would I have to, say, absorb all the carbon from within your body and leave you at the wayside? Or repeatedly attempt to concave your skull with graphite weapons?"
Kro paused for a moment, sniffing the odor of coffee that wafted over to him.
"No, but seriously, I wouldn't. I promise you that."

My plane landed in NAX (Northgate Airport), at about nine o'clock in the evening. After a long, restless flight from New York, all i wanted to do was sleep. I waited a long time for my luggage then got on one of the airport's shuttle buses and waited as I was taken to my new home for the next year. I was the only person on the shuttle so I tried to get some sleep, but the seats were so uncomfortable it made, just sleeping, a sisyphean task. The shuttle drove a few minutes out of the city and came to a stop just outside the Fur Apartments. Tired-eyed, I got up from my seat, slumped my backpack on to my shoulder, and grabbed my suitcase from the seat next to mine. I stepped of the shuttle at nearly ten in the evening, nodded a thank you to the driver, and began walking to the front entrance of the Apartments as the shuttle pulled away and disappeared down the road. I got to the door and rang the buzzer, almost collapsing from how little sleep I managed to get in the last 48 hours.

Naake ni was hungry, it was late in the evening, and my sleep cycle was so out of schedule that I was becoming nocturnal, or at the least, more so. I decide to go see if there is anything good in the fridge beyond raw meat, not really up to cooling, and while a raw steak is good, it just wasn't what I wanted tonight.
As I pad down the stairs I smell coffee... THAT sounds really good... wonder if Zarco would mind if I claimed a wood handled pan as my coffee 'cup'. (I can carry one in my teeth, then drink from it..) AS I round the bottom of the stairs into the lobby I get the feeling that there are many residents up and about, and hear a bus pulling away,wonder if someone left, or if there is a new resident!
I pad across the lobby, see Fable and one other by the pond watching the koi, I keep moving without bothering them. As I approach the kitchen I see Geoff and the Wolfsky at the table and see Zarco standing nearby.. I think "good, I need to talk to Zarco!"

*Zarco was still in the kitchen for now, he was just cleaning a few things up for now and making sure the kitchen was still stocked*
*He glanced around to see if anyone else was around him*

Geoff had finished eating and was cleaning his plate. The corner of his eye caught a glimpse of the feral wolf walking in.
"Oh hey," he greeted happily.

"Good evening Geoff, and Kromas, isn't it? And Zarco, thanks again for this place" Looks around the lobby at and stuff.
Pads on into the kitchen to the fridge, looks back at Zarco "I was hoping to talk to you about a couple of minor convenience things. I wouldn't expect any special treatment, not do I deserve it, but I'm pretty sure others really don't want to touch handles and such (looks at fridge handle then back to Zarco again), like the fridge, and it's kind of... off putting, I guess, to have the scent of everyone else when I do use the handles. " If you might consider putting a leather pull or something... "
"One other, slightly more important thing... Is there an old wood handled pan I can use for a coffee cup?"
Sits and looks as sad as possible "I really miss my coffee"

I think I might be able to help you out with both of those..
What I might try to do is change all the rooms to just have push to open doors that can open from either side? And I have one of those just in here.
*He opens one of the cupboards and digs around for a little bit, he eventually manages to dig a pan out for you with a wooden handle, it looked a little bit old but not very worn*

"Perfect! as long as you don't mind teeth prints in the handle..." Gets giddy thinking about Coffee! "Kind of hungry, think a strap can be put on the fridge so I don't mess up the handle? I can sometimes open it with a paw, but that's going to mess up the paint.."
Takes offered pan over to the coffee pot by the handle, sets it down ((going to assume it's an urn type with a push tap, if not..)) under the tap adn partially fills the pan, then picks it up and takes it to a low table near the kitchen. Pads back in and carefully uses a paw to hook the fredge door open so I can look and see what sounds good.

Geoff washed his coffee cup and placed it in the cupboard.
"Oh, I got a strap thing that should work," he chirped, "H-Hold on,"
He instantly took off to his apartment, grabbing a broken bungee cord he had hoarded in his backpack, and came running back down.

As Zarco leaves the kitchen "Thanks!"
I find a small bone in ham, and grab that, push the door shut with my shoulder and take the ham over tot he table by my coffee. Start politely picking at the ham.
Look over to Kromos "so, How are you liking it here?" just making casual conversation...

*Zarco returns shortly afterwards and attached a small spare strand of leather to the fridge handle, tying it in a tight knot*
Hopefully that will do the job! But for now I'll probably head up to sleep..

The bear pouted somewhat and shrugged, slumping back into the kitchen chair he was in last in. "Well, I guess that works better."

Just finishing ham and coffee, licks the ham juice from paws, then takes pan to the sink, rinses adn sets on the counter upside down near the coffee pot.
Pads over to the bear, looking him in the eyes "Geoff, I have a good use for the bungee up in my den..er, room. If you don't need it.." Wags tail a bit "And thank you for offering to help..."

"Oh, sure." Geoff smiled, placing the cord down. "I brought a lot of junk with me that needs some good use."

"too funny, I brought nothing but myself... didn't know when I left the den that morning that it would be a while before I got home."
Looks out the window past the woods to the mountains beyond. "I hope all is okay there. i feel like it is, but not knowing... " voice tapers off at the end. "I just hope I find out what brought me here sooner rather than later."

Fable was very memorized by the swimming koi but also starting to feel the chill in the air. Ze decided to go into the room with the tv remembering there was a couch, ze could snuggle up on the couch to stay warm- which was a better option then going all the way upstairs. so Fable padded away into the other room and climbed up onto the couch laying down on the cushion and watching the ceiling. Fable wasn't much of one for tv and didn't understand it much so ze just started to hum a little song from ze's home tribe.

"too funny, I brought nothing but myself... didn't know when I left the den that morning that it would be a while before I got home."
Looks out the window past the woods to the mountains beyond. "I hope all is okay there. i feel like it is, but not knowing... " voice tapers off at the end. "I just hope I find out what brought me here sooner rather than later."
Looks back to the bear "Did I hear you talking to Kro about sparring? I could use some exercise myself, if you're interested."
"Sure," Geoff replied, scratching the back of his neck. "Uh... but yeah, I'm not that great at fighting. Most I learned was from a friend who took classes. That was like three years ago now..."
He looked out the window as well. "But, uh, so you're here for a reason, too. I've been waiting for someone, but I don't think they're coming... Might have been a typical dream after all..."
He then realized he never told anyone about that, but he figured Naake ni had an idea what he was talking about. The wolf did seem the spiritual type.

"I think we are all here for someone or something... I just started traveling one day, and this is where it led me. Why?, I don't know yet, but things will b revealed in their own time."
Yawns and stretches "If someone is supposed to meet you here they will be here when the time is right, until then..." Turns towards the lobby "all we can do is prepare and be ready. Think I'm going to call it a night and try to get back in synch with the daylight"
Picks up the bungie and turns to leave "Rest well, Geoff"
Pads off towards the stairs, and to my den.

"Thanks, you too."
Geoff continued sitting at the table, delicately biting a claw in thought.

Decides to look in the living room, to see what's in there...
Sees Fable stretched out on the couch, not sure if sleeping or just deep in thought. goes back to kitchen, puts bungie down, opens drawers until I find the clean towels. Takes one, pads back to the Living room and gently covers the Gecko with a bright red and yellow towel. Both to keep Fable warm, and to make sure no one accidentally sits on it.
Quietly pads out, goes and gets bungie, nods again to Geoff and pads off to my den...

With one more day gone fable slides off the couch and walks upstairs back to ze's claimed room. a little work with the door and in Fable is, ze goes to the bed, climbs up and snuggles under the fluffy pillow for warmth.

*Zarco awoke the following morning with a phone call.. he wasn't expecting one so soon! He answered it and chatted for a few moments before putting the phone down.*
*It took him a bit longer than usual to wake up today, mostly because of the abrupt awakening. He decided to take a shower to help himself out*

I woke up on the ground next to the front door of the Apartments, I must have passed out from my lack of sleep. I felt a bit embarrassed having slept on the ground outside for over 12 hours. This was a great start to my stay. I got back on my feet and rang the buzzer again a few times. Maybe everyone was asleep when I rang last night.

*Zarco jumped a bit as he heard the front door buzz! He quickly threw some clothes on and made his way down to the front door. It was unlocked but he assumed someone new was trying to enter.*
*The folf approached the door and opened it for you*
Good morning! I'm rather sorry about that, I've only just got out of the shower. Welcome!

Since I had just woken up, I was still a but tired as the front door of the Apartments swung open. "Morning!" I smiled "I'm looking for the landlord or owner? I dont suppose they're around?" I asked the person who greeted me.

*Zarco's fur still looked quite wet all over right now, he didn't seem to bothered by it for the time being*
If you're after a room here, feel free to just pick any unoccupied one upstairs, there's a few floors to choose from.

Surprised at the sudden invitation to pick a room, I had questions. "Okay great. So... do I need to sign a lease or anything? And what would the rent be?" I asked, having not read much about the Fur Apartments prior to arriving in Northgate.

Fable woke up quite early for once and slipped down off the bed and slipped out ze partially left open door. Fable carefully went down the steps one by one. Fable was quite glad to see the owner, but also didn't wish to interrupt him.

Nope! No signing up or anything just go for it. Also, don't worry about the price. I'm doing this for the good of everyone right now. I felt the need to be nice to people.

I was confused at his charity and generosity. Usually people and THIS generous. "Come on whats the catch?" I asked, not fully believing him.

..Catch..?
Oh, there is no catch. Everything is free, the food and drinks.. the room.. the arcade and stuff.. just go and do as you please whenever you please!

Geoff was in his apartment taking a shower. It hit him that he didn't take one the whole time he was at the complex. Thankfully, despite the dirty clothes he had hastily thrown on, he did have a decent wash up the day he arrived, so he didn't smell too bad. Still, his face was hot with embarrassment at the thought of accidentally stinking up the place. The fresh warm water sure felt good, though. He was probably in there a little too long. It was too relaxing to leave, but he forced himself to shut the water off and gave his soaked fur a good shake before grabbing a towel and getting ready.
Maybe today was the day... or maybe he should stop getting his hopes up. He needed other things to do with his time...
Meanwhile, two strange bipedal cubs wandered the woods dressed in white gowns. One appeared like a grey feathered lion creature with taloned hands. Little underdeveloped wings sat folded against her back, her eyes large and bright gold like of an observant owl.
The other, like a brown-pelted wolf with legs of a goat. Nubby horns just barely poked out from his head, eyes also gold, the pupils wide and nearly rectangle-shaped.

Wakes up on the balcony again, nestled in the comforter as the sun warms me. Haven't seen the little dragon in a couple of days, wonders where it went off to., and hope it's okay.
Gets up, drags comforter back inside and over to the washing machine, manages to finally get it stuffed in the washing machine, and thanks the Spirits the soap is those little packets, so I'm able to get one in the washer without spilling powder everywhere. Figures out the buttons to get the machine going, and heads downstairs for a walk-about and some lunch while it runs.
As I pass through the lobby I see Zarco with a new resident, nods as I pass but do not interrupt. once outside I go from a walk to a near lope to stretch my legs, and run several laps around the complex before stopping to lay in a patch of wildflowers growing in the rough that look like the ones that grow near my den back home. I find the smell bringing back good memories, but makes me long to be home with my pack. I roll in the flowers, sorry for causing them damage, but wanting to carry the scent with me.
I huff, and slowly get up, stretch, and start padding to the main building, my belly telling me loudly that it is time to eat.

"Well... okay! Great!" I said happily, " The names Archie by the way, I just flew here from New York last night.". I hold my arm out straight to shake the owners hand.

*He gives a little wave to those around him and passing by*
Ah, It's nice to meet you Archie, I'm Zarco Night.
*He gently shakes your hand as you offer it to him*

Fable decides ze will catch the owner later to thank him and slips outside to catch some food. Ze ran about here and there sneaking up on the dragonflies and beetles.

On my way to the kitchen I pass Fable "Morning Fable< any luck?"
I sit and watch as ze hunts...

"Nice to meet you too! Hopefully we can catch up more later, but I guess I should sort an apartment out." I reply to Zarco, I let go of his hand, grab my suitcase and slump my backpack over my shoulders. "So just up those stairs and choose any available apartment?" I ask him, happily.

Kro stood, staring down into the pond intently. He traced the movement of the fishes with his eyes, peering at the world below the surface.
He then turned, walked into the frontroom, throwing himself onto one of the seats and slumping down.

That's fine by me, have a nice evening!
*Zarco decided to go and lounge about in the front room for a bit. He walked over to it and entered the room, taking a seat on the beanbag. He waves to Kro*
Hey there, hope your day is going well.
*Meanwhile.. A mysterious figure started to approach the apartments. They were completely cloaked in a dark robe with glowing yellow gemstones sewn onto it.*
*They made their way over to the large boulder in the front yard and climbed up onto it, taking a seat and seemingly meditating.*

"Ehhhhh..... Pretty good, all around. how about you, Zarco?"
Kro looked over at Zarco, whilst swirling a small wisp of smoke around his arm. It was small, not enough to cause any kind of alarm, but it worked better to focus him then just to sit and do nothing.

Fable slows and smiles to Naake ni "I've been lucky! it seems there are many bugs here! how have you been naake ni?"

Once finished dressing, Geoff glanced out the window while walking to his kitchen. He caught a bit of movement outside and paused. Two kids were approaching the pool area, apparently from the northern forest. "Huh..."
He jogged out of his apartment and down to the lobby, waving to Zarco and the newcomer as he went out.
"That's water!" The owl-lion yelped with joy. The two children rushed to the pool's edge. The owl-lion quickly dropped to her knees and dipped her hands into the water and stirred them about, eyes shimmering in awe. She stuck her snout closer for a drink, but paused, pulling out her hands and sniffing in confusion.
"Wait... this smells weird," she muttered.

*Zarco seemed fine with the smoke, he relaxed onto the beanbag and glanced over at Kro*
It's going well thank you, someone else just entered, and yeah! Hopefully this place will be alive with people here there and everywhere in no time!
It's already getting to that point now but it's always nice to see more people about.

"I can attest to that. It's alw-"
He stopped, his ears standing on end. He had that feeling, again. Stronger. Clearer. Blinding.
"There's someone else here. Demonic."
He jumped out of his seat, gritting his teeth.

*Zarco looked around a little and waved to you*
Hi..! .. ..
*he looked around a little more and took a look out of the window, the robed figure was clearly visible*
..actually, nevermind. They're friendly.

"...Friendly?"
Kro turned to look at what Zarc was looking at, out beyond the window. He too could see the figure, perched upon the rock.
"I presume you know this person then?"
Kro's eyes dropped back down, as he relaxed a bit. Sudden scares were not the nicest thing, but it was something he was accustomed to.

Mmmhm! He's a good person to say the least.
Don't worry about him, he's quite similar to me in origin.
*Zarco looked back over at Kro*
*The figure on the rock was still motionless, sitting perfectly still*

"Ah, okay. That's fine with me, as long as you're sure. I'm... Just gonna go for a walk."
Kro nodded to Zarco, got up, and headed towards the west exit. He thought it may be good to go chill by the poolside for a bit, cool off from that... detection.
He proceeded to walk down the path, towards the pool. There seemed to be some people over there. He thought that he may as well say hi, or something.

Still sitting outside the main doors watching Fable hunt, it's fun watching ze stalk the different bugs.
"I'm doing okay, missing home, but.... "
Turns to look at the new arrival sitting on the boulder with feigned disinterest. "another... "

"i often find myself missing my tribe as well" fable says then walks a bit to see what Naake ni is looking at "seems so, We got someone new this morning as well," Fable says with a smile "Soon, i feel, we will have many living here." fable wonders why the new person does not go inside?

Geoff walked out to the pool and waved to the kids. "Uh, hey there."
The two looked up at him, smiling but somewhat worried.
"Um, hi, mister," the wolf-goat greeted. "Do you have any water...?"
"Uh, yeah," Geoff pointed to the complex, "there's water and food in the--"
The owl-lion's ears perked. "There's food?"
Geoff blinked. "Heh, yeah. It's all for free, too. You can head i--"
The kids instantly sprinted to the building without another word. Stunned for a moment, Geoff laughed and followed them in.

Kro walked, watching as the children and Geoff passed by. He guessed he wouldn't be saying hi then.
He arrived at the poolside, to a dark yet peaceful scene. A deep glow emanated from the under water lights, giving a relaxing sheen to the light. He laid down by the poolside, looking up at the clear moon, way up above. A dark yet freedom-riddled sky. The cold grasped at him, but that didn't bother him much- he liked the cold. He just lay, watching the stars and the sky, wondering about the astronomical clockwork that played out far above his small, frail mind.
He began to sing to himself.
"If I could just see it all,
Just like a fly on the wall,
Would I be able to accept what I can't control..."

The kids gazed in awe around the lobby. Upon sight of the pond, the kids ran up to the edge and began lapping up the water.
"W-wait, that's not for drinking!" Geoff couldn't help but laugh aloud at the sight. He turned to the kitchen. "Th-there's better stuff in here."
"Oh." They both followed him in.
The kids seemed oddly surprised by everything in the kitchen, as if they'd never seen one like it before.
The wolf-goat swung open the fridge and gasped at the cool breeze in his face. "This pantry is cold!"

I walked over to the stairs, watching people walk by, I'd try and introduce myself to people after I'd settled an apartment. I picked up my suitcase and walked up the stairs to the third floor. I then walked down the corridor until I found an unclaimed apartment, I opened the door and walked in. The furnished apartment looked amazing and comfortable. I walked into the bedroom and unpacked my case in to the drawers and wardrobes. After having finished unpacking, I walked in to the kitchen to find fully stocked cupboards and a full fridge. I made myself some dinner and started eating it at the dining table.

After watching the stranger Fable was filled with curiosity but didn't wish to bother the new comer on his first day. "Excuse me Naake ni, but I hope we will get a chance to talk another day, for now I think I'll get to my room and warm up for a while." Fable gives a quick nod goodbye and makes their way back inside to the warmth of the building.

"Of course Fable" I reply, after watching the newest possible resident walk past. I have a feeling things may get interesting soon!
I get up and pad to the lobby myself, stopping in the kitchen to raid the fridge (just a couple of hamburger patties and a partial block of good cheese), then head off to my apartment. As I pad up the stairs I think to try something I haven't had to do in a while, and after checking to make sure there is no on around, then .... I shift to run partially up the stairs then shift back before I get to the top floor.
The energy spent to shift twice this quickly is felt down deep, but the knowledge that I able still able to shift that quickly is good to know. I decide to soak in the tub before going to bed, so start the tub filling with nice hot water, and pull a couple of towels from the linen closet and put right by the tub, then go move the comforter from the washer to the dryer so it's dry and warm when I get done soaking. By the time I get done the tub is nearly full so I turn it off and get in, feeling the soothing warmth of the water soaking into me. The scent of the flowers I rolled in earlier seems to react with the steam and fills the room with their fragrance.
A while later, the water now cooling I get out and pad to the balcony to shake, then go back and dry off the best I can by laying on the towels and flopping, twisting, etc., before getting the comforter out of the dryer and going out onto the balcony and making myself comfortable for the night.
Sleep comes quickly, bring with it dreams of my pack, my past, and things yet to come.

After finishing up my dinner, I washed my plate and the cutlery I used and then decided to get a good nights sleep. I walked into my bedroom and put my phone and laptop on charge, got changed into pj's then climbed in to bed, within minutes I was asleep.

Grunan moves outside her room, and heads downstairs. Hoping to get something to eat.

*After the previous night, Zarco eventually made his way up to sleep after doing some quiet construction work early in the morning*
*The robed figure was currently sitting at the pond. Their face along with the entirety of their body was obscured by their hooded dark gem laden robes*

Grunan pauses at the bottom of the stairs, noticing the robed figure just south of them. Another mage? She walks into the Garden area. "I don't think we have met before." she states. "I take it your another resident here."

??? - *Looks up at you, you could now more clearly see a wolf like muzzle along with a single glowing yellow eye peering up at you*
That isn't the reason that I'm here. There is one who seeks for my aid who I wish to study. Until they show their self I shall remain here.. Though I may reside here for longer if I find it.. enjoyable.
*He looks back down at the water for now, hiding his gaze from you*

"Study? wait, you don't mean a green eyed wolf do you?" Grunan asks. "If so, you might be a little late."

That is correct, Zarco called me over to help him with some issues that he has. While I am a busy person at the best of times, my thirst for knowledge drew me here sooner than expected.
Hmm..? Care to explain yourself?
*He once again looks up at you, he looked like he was almost looking straight through you..*

"I have already studied him" Grunan states. "His eyes seem to be some kind of symbiotic creature."

*He sighs a little*
..very well, in which case I'm wondering why Zark didn't tell me this. How long ago did you figure this out?
And also.. what have you done to prevent it or help him to use it?

Alka woke up, heading downstairs. He was wearing a red T-shirt today, but still had his black shorts and flip-flops on. He stretched his arms out as he proceeded down the stairs, heading to the kitchen.

"A couple of days." Grunan replies. "and so far, I have done nothing. Though we are planning a little... field trip, to find out where it came from, or I would be if a friend of mine would pick up the damn phone for once."

Very well, in which case I may end up leaving it in your hands. Well, assuming that you are a trustable person.. But I doubt that would be the case.
*He slowly stands himself up, he stood at 5ft 8 tall.*
If there is nothing else that should concern me here, I shall be on my way.

"Thank you." Grunan states. "That would be greatly appreciated." She starts to walk on, then pauses. "Out of curiosity, what were you planning to do for him?"

*He turned towards the door but looked back at you as you asked him a question*
Hmm..? I wished to study what was causing the issue.
If it turned out to be harmful I would attempt to remove it.
If it was fine, I would have tried to create either a pair of lenses to be able to better control it, or tried to teach him to be able to control his power with more focus.

"Lenses, why not just use training? Surely its better he can control it natively than relying on an object."

It's possible that that may not be an option. Apparently he's had this for quite a long time. If he has been unable to train himself during that time, it's entirely possible that I won't be able to do either.

As Alka made his way to the kitchen he noticed Grunan and the robed figure (WHO IS TOTALLY NOT LEON OR ANYTHING) talking. He wasn't one to listen in, but what pieces he did get of the conversation as he passed them by did make him curious at least. Still, he entered the kitchen and began looking through the fridge.

"hmph. with that attitude your almost certainly right." Grunan pushes past the stranger, unimpressed, and moves towards the kitchen.

I woke up in the morning, fully rested. I clambered out of bed, walked in to my kitchen and made myself a bowl of cereal.

(Shhh :P he's being all mysterious!)

*The figure made his way out the front door and towards the rock. He decided to meditate for a bit before making his journey back home*

Alka had gotten out some milk, mushrooms and eggs from the fridge, and had began cooking the eggs and mushrooms together, quickly throwing a dash of salt and pepper into the pan as it sizzled, cooking the scrambled egg and mushrooms.

((... *Sigh* Well, my bit yesterday ended up entirely pointless... :/ ))
Geoff walked down to the kitchen, followed by the two kids. For whatever reason his brain assumed Zarco and Kro were in there.
"H-hey guys, you won't believe-- oh. uh, hello," he chuckled.

The wolf turned his head to see Geoff. "Oh, good morning. Eggs?" He said, as he placed some scrambled eggs onto a plate and set two slices of toast into the toaster.

((No, people just ignored the stuff I posted yesterday. And one person just 'gave up'. I was planning funnies :C ))
"Sounds good," Geoff replied. "Uh, don't think I've see you before. Did you just move in?"

Alka grinned as he cracked two more eggs and began beating them. "No, I've just been a little anti-social these past few days. You tend to crave entire days of alone time when most of your work revolves around other people." As the two pieces of toast had popped out of the toaster, Alka had loaded the first set of mushrooms onto the plate and placed the now ready toast on top. He placed the plate onto the table and motioned to it as he returned to cut some more mushrooms.
((Aww... I would've joined in but time-zones aren't exactly the nicest female dog on the block :( ))

"Oh, thank you--"
Geoff turned to the little lion-owl and wolf-goat who silently stared at the plate.
"Heh, can't leave these poor guys out, though. Uh, how about you eat and I fix up the rest?"

Grunan moves into the kitchen, and starts grabbing something to eat, making a point of avoiding the other two figures already in there

Alka waved a hand as he poured the mixture onto the pan and began cooking the eggs. "No, I'm fine cooking. Haven't had much time to in the past few months, so it's nice to be back behind the stove." The wolf turned to look at the small creatures near Geoff and raised an eyebrow. "Um... Excuse me if I sound a bit erm... rude... but those are some odd looking creatures you've got there." Seeing as how Grunan didn't try to engage within conversation, Alka didn't bother bothering her.

The lion-owl gave a shy grin to Alka, but the wolf-goat lowered his head and shrugged in shame.
"Uh, th-they are unique, yeah..." Geoff replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "They sure got a story--but, uh..."
He turned to them. "Why don't you introduce yourselves?"
The lion-owl nodded. "My name is Sha"
"Mine is Seph." the wolf-goat stated. He then placed his hands together. "We were turned into beasts by taboo magics and killed, but by the grace of God, we've been given a second chance..."
Sha blinked and stared at Seph, then pointed to him. "Um... What he said." <.<

Alka nodded. "Interesting... How unfortunate such a fate has befallen you." The wolf grinned as he loaded another plated with eggs toast and mushrooms. "I hope the food makes your day." He said as he placed another plate upon the table, opting to just drink a glass of milk instead of cooking even more eggs.

Grunan idealy sipped her drink, only half listening to the conversation across the room... blah blah story, blah blah names, blah blah taboo magic.... returned by the grace of god... blah bl~
"WAIT What?" Grunan exclaims, almost spilling her drink.

The kids--and Geoff--froze in shock at Grunan's outburst.

Alka was perfectly used to random outburts of yelling, so just casually turned to Grunan. "Please, lets have inside voices while we're inside. No need to yell."

Grunan blinks, looking a little sheepish. "Sorry" she murmors. She then raises her voice up to her normal speaking volume, regaining her usual tone. "But If I may ask. Which god?"

Naake Ni wakes, stretches and pads down to the lobby, smelling eggs cooking from the last flight of stairs. My stomach rumbles as I cross the lobby.
I hear the murmurs of conversation, then a loud outburst that seems to be Grunan. "This can't be good" I say to myself as I pass the pond and increase my pace, hurrying to the kitchen.
Turning the final corner I see it is quite busy, with 3 'adults' and 2 smaller furs.
Nodding to Geofff "Morning all, little ones, is everything okay...hey... " I get a better look at the little ones and sit down on my haunches "Oh..."

"... God." Seph replied to Grunan
"He means Yaweh, I think." Geoff added.
"Noo," Sha yelped. "Inanna and Enki--"
Geoff set his hands on their heads. "--H-hey, hey, let's not fight over this. Clearly all are involved..."

Yaweh, inanna... Grunan did not recognize either of those names, that was either a good thing, or a very very bad thing.
For now she would assume good. "Right." She states, watching the kids "So, your actually here properly, not some form of undead." She asks, cautiously.

Lays down, listening with interest, head moving like I'm at a tennis match.

The kids nodded.
"Yeah, I think so," Geoff replied. "I... think I can feel lifeforce if I focus enough, u-unless undead have that too..."
Before coming here, he'd feel like he belonged in a loony bin saying that, but now he felt more at ease about it. He had no idea about the undead bit, though. That concept never made much sense to him even in fantasy.

Grunan nods slowly. "Fair enough then. I'm... sorry for startling the kids." Grunan still felt uneasy, but thus far she had no reason to be worried. "And no, very few undead have any true life to them."
Grunan turns back to her drink, then stops and thinks for a second. "Geoff I think you said your name was? If you can feel life forces... what do you feel from me?"

Alka sipped at his glass of milk, taking his time to both drink it and gather information on the residents. It's always good to know more about people you spend time with. Still though, all this talk about the supernatural was really sparking his interest.

Stomach rumbles loudly, followed by a soft burp... looks a little wolfish.. "Excuse me.."

Fable wakes up and still feels a little cold so breaks down to actually wear a jacket today. Fable hated how it felt on ze's scales but the warmth would be nice and since ze was wearing something with pockets ze decided to grab a small journal as well and maybe work on some stories today. After washing up a little Fable slowly made the journey down the stairs and looked about. ze didn't see anyone but could hear voices.
Fable wandered over to where ze heard the voices and stopped in the door way, Fable could see more residence now in the kitchen then ze has seen the whole time ze's been here. Fable slips inside and walks over to the laying down Naake ni. Whatever everyone's talking about seems important...

Geoff tried to focus on Grunan, but now that he was worked up, it was hard to get a good reading.
He took a breath and closed his eyes for a long moment, occasionally furrowing his brow.
"Mm... like, vibrations... pretty much like everyone else, but like... something's a bit odd, but I can't place it... N-not demonic, for sure... just kinda--"
The wolf's burp was just enough to break his concentration and he flipped his eyes open. "Ha! That spooked me somehow..."

Grunan nods. looking a little disheartened. "Thank you." she glances around the room, only just noticing how many people had gathered in the short time. She scowls slightly, and turns back to her drink.

"Geez... Seems everyone here is getting in on magic and other wordly beings. Almost makes me feel left out." Alka grinned as he put all the ingredients away and began cleaning the pan.

Geoff frowned as he watched the disheartened snake turn away.
"Mm, well don't feel bad," he replied to Alka. "I don't understand it all myself..."
He sat down to finally eat his eggs, the kids already nearly done with theirs.
"Two kids from the underworlds..." he muttered in thought. "Hell and Irkalla... So that dream ended up true..."

Turns to look at Fable "Good Morning..."
Looks quizzically at Alka, starts to ask something, but realizes this is not the right time... watches him cleaning up and putting stuff away.
So many different scents right now, hard to separate, have been trying since Grunan asked Geoff about her 'life force'... wildly varied, none demonic (that's a memorable scent), but some more masked by herbs and smokey things, others are just natural... Then there is the lingering smell of food, which is truly distracting right now...

"Good morning. I seem to have missed something" Fable said to Naake ni, Fable always did have the worst luck when it came to catching a story.

Once Alka was done cleaning, he closed his eyes to think for a second. So... Chapter 7 looks interesting... But, I'm not sure how he's going to tie it all together... The wolf continued to think idly about the book he was reading, heading to the door so he could return up stairs to his room.

"I can fill you in as much as I can later, quite interesting..but I didn't catch the beginning either."
Watches Alka leave, nods as he passes
With the excitement seemingly over I get up (watching for Fable, of course) and pad through the kitchen to the fridge, pulling the door open with the leather strap, then surveying the contents. There is bacon and sausage, but both are raw, some left over hamburger patties, adn, ov course, the drawer of steaks, etc. As I nose around a little more I find a bag of grilled chicken breasts. muttering to myself "I hope this isn't someones dinner" and pick up the bag, and set it on the counter.
"Fable, can I get you anything while I'm in here?"

Alka headed back up to his room to continue reading and working on his project. He quickly climbed up the stairs, and closed the door behind him on his way into his apartment.

"No thank you, I had enough food for the next few days yesterday." Fable says with a thankful smile. Fable decides to climb up and rest on the corner of the kitchen table to be a little higher and able to see everyone better "Hello again Geoff, It's good to see you again"

Shoulders the fridge door shut, picks up the chicken and starts to pad out. Sets bag down on the counter "I'm going to head outside, this is going to be messy. Hope ya'all have a great day."
Picks bag back up and pads out to find a quiet place to eat out by the woods.

While eating, Geoff realized Alka didn't make food for himself and lowered his ears somewhat. He didn't mean to intrude on his breakfast like that. Should cook something in return tomorrow...
He looked down at the gecko and smiled. "Oh hey."
Sha and Seph stayed quiet at the table, patiently waiting for Geoff to finish. They seemed in just as much thought as him.
"Uh, you two can go do stuff if you want," Geoff told them. "I'm almost done..."
"I can wait," Seph replied, Sha nodding lightly in agreement.
Geoff blinked. "Huh... You're very polite. Thank you."
he quickly gobbled up the rest of his food and collected the plates to wash.
"So, uh... What have you been up to lately, Fable?"

"Honestly? absolutely nothing." Fable said with a small chuckle waving a hello to the two young ones. "It seems staying here has made me a tad lazy, I hope to change that soon though. And yourself?" ze asks wondering where Geoff found these two little ones.

"Hah, I get ya," Geoff laughed lightly as he cleaned the plates. "Been pretty lazy myself... Oh."
He turned and pointed two fingers to the kids with his free hand. "That's Sha and Seph. They just moved in."

"Hello Sha, Hello Seph, My name is Fable. I am sure you both will enjoy your time here, there is plenty to do." Ze says in a friendly voice. "Did you get here today?"

"Last night," Sha replied. "We woke up in the forest and found this place."

"Well I'm glad then that you found this place. It can be dangerous in the forest." Fable worries about the little ones beeing lost, ze didn't hear what everyone was saying before but lost children was always a tug on the heart strings. "Now you're staying with Geoff?"

Find a spot to lay down and eat, rip open the bag and start on the first of 3 chicken breasts... picking it apart, enjoying. Whoever cooked this new what they were doing!!!
While eating I replay the whole kitchen thing this morning... trying to figure out why I have an odd feeling about something from it. The 'kids' were a little odd, but I've seen stranger. The fact they were with Geoff is a little harder to figure out.... Nice bear, but never saw him as the Foster dad type, though he seems very comfortable with them, almost like he expected them?? ... seems to have a bit of intuition, but not yet in control of it?
Grunan said more than I've seen her say yet, but not enough to figure her out. I get a strong sense of majic, with something else... Would like to talk with her, but not sure how to start that conversation...
Alka... haven't really seen much of him, seems thoughtful, but thinking about it he was cooking when I came in and I never saw him eat... may have felt crowded?? Hoping I wasn't why he left the kitchen.
Fable, very nice, seems to be well traveled, and pretty sharp. Would like to talk about the travels...
I keep coming back to the 'kids', for some reason the thought 'old' sticks in my head..... will keep my eyes on them when I can.
I reach down to grab another chicken breast and realize all 3 of them are gone... I look at the sun and realize I've been here longer than I thought, so I grab the plastic bag, get up and pad back toward the main building, going by the pool and the treehouse on the way, still trying to wrap my head around the feeling of impending.. what, not doom, thankfully, but change?

They both nodded to Fable's question.
Geoff put the plates away. "Yeah. Need some extra beds in my apartment. Have you seen Zarco anywhere?"

"I haven't even had the chance to really speak to him since being here. always in the wrong place I guess to catch him- sorry." Fable says "you could snag the one from my room if you wish- It's honestly far too big for me." Fable offers

"Alright. Thank you."
He rested his hand on the table, where the kids remained sitting. "... Uh... you're excused."
Seph and Sha happily hopped from their chairs and ran out.
Geoff grinned wide. "That's all I had to say?" he laughed.

Fable smiles watching the two run off "guess so. I guess you'll be pretty busy looking after those two. If you need any help I would be happy to lend a hand." Fable liked trying to be helpful.

"Sure will," Geoff chuckled. "Never really expected to be a father," he shrugged. "I mean, I thought about adopting or just being a foster parent in the past, but I didn't think I'd be any good at it. Especially after, you know, the homeless thing..."
A father. Could he really say he's their father now? He was happy to care for them, but the thought of having such a responsibility scared him more than he liked to admit.
"... Well, they're pretty well-behaved so far," he continued. "Maybe I got it easy..."

"they seem like great kids, and i may not know you all that well but with how careful and nice you were to that little dragon a few days ago I'd say you'd make a great father." Fable says with a smile, still thinking this seems like a really sudden adoption...... somethings going on and fable has no clue what.

"Are we seriously doing this again, it always ends up the same. We go in, get nice and settled and boom...shit hits the fan"
The lion moans, rolling his eyes at his sister as they walk up the path.
"Oh be quiet this time it'll be different, i promise just keep your head down and let me do the talking okay?"

Kro sat just on the inside of the complex, near to the entrance doors. He had his eyes closed, whistling to himself.
He liked to just sit and think sometimes. It helped him to relax. Kinda.

The children were playing in the pond as the two lions walked up to the complex. Sha spotted them and looked at Geoff. "Are they new?"
"I think so."
The owl-lion happily hopped over to the door and opened it up.
"HI! Welcome to the Fur Apartments!" she sang "Come on in!"

"Oooh a welcome party, this is ne-"
Before he could finish the lioness put a paw over his mouth.
"Hello there, my name is Kye and this is my... 'delightful' brother Setcho. We'd appreciate if we could stay here for a while"

Sha nodded. "Sure. Go pick an apartment, it's free!"

"Thankyou very much"
Kye politely replied, before dragging setcho inside.
"Hey im not five, that hurts"

Sha watched the lions walk off, then turned to Geoff. "How did I do?"
The bear grinned. "Heh, not bad. Might wanna tune it down a liiittle bit. You wanna be friendly, not, uhhh, in-the-face."

Fable walks to a nice sunny spot and lays down in the grass on ze's stomach getting out the journal and scribbling down ideas. Fable hoped to find something more productive to do later but for now some writing would be nice.

I put on some dark jeans, a white tee and threw on a dark red, blue and white flannel. I then decided I would finally go down and try and introduce myself to people. Kro sighed, stood up and looked around. Yeah, there were people, but... He just wasn't feeling it today. So, he made his way up onto the roof of the complex, trudging up the staircases upon staircases.
He sat down, leaning against one of the ventilation shafts, relaxing, listening to the wispy sounds of the wind, whipping his clothes around like rags.
He was unfathomably alone. But, right now, it was what he needed.

Seko reluctantly stood up and made his way out of his room. "I need some fresh air..." he muttered to himself, taking the stairs up to the roof.

Kro began to mutter to himself as he leant up against the vent shaft.
"Marmalade to sugar song, Peanut to bitter step..."

Reaching the rooftop, he spotted Kromas.
(Internally) "Oh good, the guy that turns into mist and hates my face"
(Externally) "Oh, hey there. How's it going?"

Kro jolted his head around to face the source of the voice. It was the panda.
"O-oh, urh, greetings, sir."
Kro brushed himself off and stood up.
"How're you faring today?"

I walked over to the pond to be greeted by a bear with two children. "Hey, my name's Archie, I just moved in last night" I said to the bear, holding my paw out to shake his hand.

The bear shook Archie's hand. "Ah, welcome. I'm Geoffrey. Geoff for short... Uh, this is Sha and Seph."
"Hello!"

"I'm faring quite well" he said, walking over "Just getting some air. How are you? I know we didn't get off on the right foot...but err... I hope we can be friends"

"Good to hear you're doing well, Sir."
Kro put his hands in his pockets, sighing slightly.
"Ah, yes. My apologies for that- I did not want to have to be so brash, but for the privacy of the residents here I felt it... Necessary. Nothing personal, Sir."
He stepped a bit closer to Seko, extending out his hand.
"May I ask your name, Sir? I... don't think I quite caught it in our last meeting."

"I understand." He said, shaking Kro's hand "My name is Seko...you?"
He furrows his brow slightly "I hope it's not rude to ask... that smoke form... what are you exactly?"

"Ah, Seko. Nice name."
He pauses for a moment.
"Oh, yes. The smoke. I am not sure if it is obvious or not, Sir, but I am of Demonic Origin. So, a demon."

"Hey!" I said to Sha and Seph, smiling. "So where are you from?" I asked Geoff, trying to make conversation.

"Huh... I heard stories, but I wasn't really sure demons existed." He said, thinking for a moment "...I suppose this place IS a paranormal hot-spot. Well... Lovely to meet you properly!"

"Indeed. It is nice to meet you too."
Kro smiled somewhat faintly.
"If you ever require anything, or knowledge about my kind, feel free to ask."

"Oakridge. It's a small city quite a bit up north," Geoff replied, "But, uh, been traveling all over for about a year."

"Thank you... actually... there is something you might be able to answer for me" Seko began, fidgeting around with the contents of his messenger bag and pulling out a small journal. "Is it normal to have visions in a place of paranormal activity?... I've been seeing-- N-no... feeling something. The visions led me here, to this set of Apartments..."

"Hmmm... Visions, you say?"
Kro took a moment to think, thinking through what he knew.
"I... have heard of such occurrences. Often associated with the term "oracle". While I do not now of these things myself in detail, there may be something in the library that may explain. Also, I have heard of someone here who dabbles in... the occult? Well, many people here seem to have some kind of special... thing. But that one seems to know of these things. I think the name is... Grun... no... Grunanana? No, Grunan I think. Reptilian, if I recall correctly."
He paused for a moment.
"May be worth visiting her."

"Thank you.. You've been a great help. I'll seek them out."
He turned to look out over the rest of the area
"Hopefully...I'll get some answers."

"If it is truth you seek..."
Kro chuckled for a moment.
"Do not worry, friend. Those who seek truth are destined to find it."

"I suppose so, thanks again."
He turned and made his way back to the stairs, clambering down to the ground floor and having a look around.

Kro sat back down, leaning against the same vent shaft. He went back to humming to himself.
Alone once again.

After coming back in from eating I go to the library, something I want to look up. I find the shelf, and scroll the books along reading titles until I find the one I'm looking for "101 Recipes for the BBQ", then well out of order next to it, I see "Of God and Goddess, A Chronicle of Deities through the Ages".
"That's Odd, I could have sworn I heard Zarco say the shelves automatically put books back where they were supposed to be...."
I decide to take both, the first so I can cook something to stock the fridge with, since I'm eating what others have prepped, the second because it seems to want to be read...
On my way out of the library I see Geoff and the kids at the pond with one of the new residents, so opt to wander over and introduce myself. I pad over, and when I get in earshot call out "Hey Geoff, What's up?"

He (somewhat sneakily) makes his way to the library and begins searching through the book titles for the word "Oracle".

"Oh cool... I just flew here from New York, as a sort of gap year before University" I replied. "So who are these little guys?" Are say looking at the two kids.

Kaleb was in the library, face resting on the table he was sitting at, snoring quietly and drooling. A whole pile of books, both fictitious and non-fictitious, on the subject of time, time travel and a couple about the biology of eyes. Some of the more scientific books were a little hard to properly understand when he was reading them, not that it mattered right now.

Having flicked through a few books, he finally found a mention of "oracle". An old book with a damaged leather binding, the particular page he had landed on read...
'On the topic of magical artifacts, an oracle is a device or being able to show or to perceive or predict the future, such devices are not limited to conventional sorcery and may include metachronal machinery such as the Oraculum'
"The Oraculum...that's...I...No...I remember" He murmured, standing infront of a large, intricate device with many crystalline lenses alternating around a single beaming crystal shard. "O-oh god! No-Not again!" He screamed, throwing the book at the device. "I wont let it happen again!" He yelled, breathing heavily as he found himself in the library once more.
He backed away from the books before turning and running through the main lobby, leaving through the back entrance and continuing to run towards the practice range.

Geoff waved at Naake ni. "Hey!"
He looked behind himself at the kids. It seemed they didn't want to talk about it anymore...
"Uh, well, they came wandering out of the forest last night. I'm taking care of 'em."

becoming bored with writing and the sunny spot having left Fable makes their way back inside . Ze tucked the book back into a jacket pocket and walk inside hoping something of interest may be going on.

Puts the two books down (making sure the cookbook is on top) and extends a paw to the furson talking to Geoff "Hey, I'm Naake ni. Welcome to the Apartments. Think I saw when you came in, but didn't get a chance to meet you."
Looks over at the kids playing... then back

"Hey, name's Archie!" I replied to the wolf, shaking his paw.

"Did you just see a panda run out the door? Didn't think there was anyone else in the library when I was in there... Hope he's okay, looked spooked!"
Looks around at the kids, the pond, and the open lobby. "I'm liking this place, can't believe it's free... Not sure what brought me here though. What about you?"

When nothing of particular interest catches Fable's eyes ze goes to the couch in the lobby and lays down for a while humming songs of home and thinking about home. the normal home sickness grips Fable's heart but ze just keeps quietly humming and watching the ceiling.

"Well I needed some time away from home but didn't know where to go, so I just went to the airport and and chose the first place I could see. Then I landed here last night and was told that these apartments were worth a look at, so here I am. This place is great so far" I replied.

"Nice, Hope you enjoy your time here. Need to get these books upstairs then take my evening walk... Nice meeting you Archie"
Nods at Archie and Geoff before padding off to the steps, trotting up to put books away, the trotting back down again to go outside.

*Zarco strolls out of his room quite early in the morning to go and relax by the pond downstairs*
*He makes his way down towards it and quietly takes a seat. He drops some food into the pond for the fish to eat, he smiles a little as he watches them*

After spending the night in their new room, kye and setcho waddled down the stairs. Setcho rubbing his eyes still half asleep with serious bed mane, while kye frowning needing her morning coffee.
"Its too early, i wanna go back to bed"
Setcho yawned, nearly tripping over his own feet.
"Do you ever just like stop whining, ill get you a coffee"
Heading towards the kitchen.

*Zarco looked up at them both and chuckled to himself.. Though he couldn't really tell right now if you were related or similar looking.*
*He decided to let you both do as you pleased for now and stood up, heading for the front room.*

Setcho slumps in one of the kitchen chairs, curiously looking around his new environment. While kye pours two cups of coffee, sitting down next to him.

*Zarco made his way into the front room and sat down in the corner of the L shaped couch. He sighed contently..*
*He also felt a bit surprised at the amount of people who were now occupying the apartments! A few of which he hadn't seen before*

Kaleb made himself a bowl of cereal in his apartment and sat contentedly as he ate, looking around the room as he did. He came to the realisation that he needed to decorate it a little, it looked just a tad bland and boring. Once he finished his cereal, he made his way out his apartment and downstairs, heading to the games room.

When zarco sits down it makes the couch cushions move a bit and Fable bolts awake. Ze completely forgot to go to their room last night and had fallen asleep. Fable glances about only half aware where ze is and ze's hair alllllll over the place in a huge mess! Ze doesn't even see Zarco.

*Zarco glances over at you and jumps a little bit!*
Oop, sorry! I didn't see you there.. erh, hope you're alright.

Fable blinks a few times to wake up "oh! y-yeah I'm fine!" Fable says a little embarrassed "must have fallen asleep!" quickly fable combs through their hair with ze's fingers. Fables purple scales are a little pink in the cheeks. "m-morning" ze says to zarco.

*Zarco relaxes himself and rests against the corner of the couch, sighing a little in relief*
I'm pretty good thank you, I've been a bit out of it recently though. Other than that everything is good.

I'm doing alright. Getting used to things around here. It's truly a wonderful service your providing." Ze says with a smile to zarco. "I have been meaning to thank you."

No problem, as long as everyone's happy then I'm happy. That's enough for me.
*He was currently trying to count the number of guests that he knew about in his head..*

Kro was sat at the poolside, gazing into the calm waters that stood before him. He was sat with his legs crossed, hunched over whilst looking down. He knew that he spent a lot of time just looking at stuff- much more than any sane person ever would. But he was sane, in his own special way. Just the same as everyone else, he supposed. Everyone was that special snowflake of a protagonist in their own adventure- with a victory, presumed to be waiting at the end, through hardship and loss. Everyone lived this life, alongside everyone else, who also lived that life. Kro knew that he, indeed, was living one of these lives. All the people here- no, anywhere- were dawdling along on their own path, as if written by some great being pf power above. But, in turn, would this great being also have his existence written out, like a children's story book.
Of course, it was these borderline heretical thoughts that dragged him down. But it was nice to indulge in them. To bask in the reality of just how pointless everything was.
He whistled to himself as he gazed into the water.

Having run outside, Seko stopped and tried to catch his breath. Eventually he recovered and wandered over to the training area, stepping inside and having a look around.

No, no, no. This wouldn't do. Kro removed his gaze from the water, instead getting to his feet and heading into the complex. Quite quickly, and with a look of fervor on his face, stopped by the kitchen, grabbing a can of drink, and then out the front door, seeming to ignore anyone around him. He continued down to the road, and after looking around for a moment, and drinking his can quite quickly, he dissipated into smoke, which then floated off, towards the town...

Seko found a mat with a training dummy already set up.
He took a deep breath. "Something's not right, and I need to figure it out. I messed with a magical artifact or someth--" he winced as a headache blocked any more memories. "...ugh...maybe...maybe it made me magical or something..." he beamed, grinning like an idiot.
He turned dramatically and waved his hand at the dummy. "Avada kedavra!"
Nothing happened.
"Ugh... Flame on!" he waved his hand more vigorously at the dummy, but still nothing happened.

It took some time to get to where he wanted to go. Drifting through the sparse trees, darkened alleys, busy streets in such an immaterial form was fun- it allowed him to be a part of the rhythm of the bustling streets, without spoiling it's truthful song. It was of melancholic tragedy, much more intricate than any other medium could deliver. It made him want to stand out and scream his own lyrics into the chorus of the streets. But, of course, that was not his place. He was better off sticking to the darker spots of sunlight, observing, not partaking. Oh how he longed to be normal. Oh so very much.
After a while of drifting with a cloud full of dreams, he reformed, and began searching. He needed something to keep his mind of these thoughts that breath. He couldn't simply stumble into faith, proclaiming that this was all there was. No, instead, he needed a task. A occupation. And that was why he was here, deep in the heart of the city. He set about searching, hopping from vendor to vendor, looking for a way into the underworld of this city. At the end of the day, he needed something dangerous. Something...
Something.

After a while of just relaxing on the couch Fable nods goodbye to Zarco and heads for the library still not needing food for today.
Once in the library Fable climbed high up onto one of the shelves and looked around for an interesting title, no many jumped out but a few seemed rather odd. Fable noticed quite a few were about magic.
Finally Fable just randomly chose and pulled the book from the shelf letting it fall to the floor, It felt compleatly disrespectful and if the book was hurt Fable would of course replace it, But it was just to big for Fable to lift. So down after the book fable crawled and sat on the floor where it fell to start to read. This book as well seemed to be mostly about magic, and Fable didn't understand a lot of it but was always willing to learn.

Awake, just spending the day curled up on the balcony in my comforter pile reading through the books I brought up yesterday.
From my vantage I can see a good bit of the yard, from the pool to the training grounds, and saw Kro sitting by the pool earlier but next time I looked he was gone. Also saw the Panda Seko making hand gestures at a training dummy, not sure why... was fun to watch though.
After a bit I rise and stretch, working kinks out of my muscles with a series of rhythmic motions I learned many years ago. then pad in and get a drink of water before going back to the balcony and curling into the comforter to continue reading. Briefly think about going down to the kitchen and getting something to eat, maybe later.

It had taken some time, but finally, Kro returned home to the treehouse, defeated. His search for employment had come up empty, leaving him thoroughly disappointing.
After getting changed, he headed out, and knelt down by the side of the pool, once again gazing into the waters.

Fable had enjoyed a lazy day to sorta warm up, it has seemed very quiet around here the past few days but ze was more then ready to get some food into ze's stomach. Fable walked out of the complex and wandered around hunting bugs here and there.
Ze stopped when ze saw one of the residence, one ze had never spoken to, "Good afternoon" Fable said with a friendly wave watching the person looking into the pool.

Have been reading/resting/thinking for a couple of days, secluded in my den/apartment.
Though I normally sleep on the balcony to be closer to the outdoors I have been amazed by the power of this place as it has slowly been learning what I want/need and is slowly transforming itself into a true wolf den/dream space that fits who I am... Even the balcony now resembles a rocky overlook! I whisper a thanks to Zarco for whatever energies he built into this place to make it what it is.
Decided today is the day to go explore further than the edge of the complex, and have overheard Zarco saying there was a lake not far away, adn that there were maps in the lobby, so I pad out of my den and down the stairs to find a map and get my bearings (and some food) before departing in the morning.
My plan is to leave just before the pre-dawn so I can be at the lake to see the sunrise and feel the rebirth it brings. I am hoping tomorrow brings an understanding of why I am here...
As I reach the lobby I look around for others, and unfortunately, I don't see anyone up and about. I pad across the lobby stopping at the pond for a few minutes, laying down with one paw slightly in the pond, watching the koi swim and enjoying the peace of this place.
After a while my stomach gets the best of me and I rise, padding on to the kitchen and getting out a plate and my coffee pan. I grab the leather strap on the fridge door and pull it open. There is a plate of thick ham slices, and some other stuff, so I pick through and fill my plate, then shoulder the door closed before taking my plate, then my now filled coffee pan back over to the pond area and eating, hoping for some company as I do.

The residence at the pool seems distracted so Fable continues on with hunting down some bugs and then heads back inside.
Fable takes notice of the movement in the kitchen and peers inside smiling when zee recognizes whos inside. "Good afternoon Naake ni!" Fable say with a smile and small wave.

Kro shook his head. The person had gone... He was about to turn, but obviously he was too entranced in the water. He decided to get up, and head inside.

Continues eating, though now a little self-conciouslly

"So far a tad uneventful, I have been reading some of the... very strange... books from the library. and your day?" Fable says as ze climbs up onto the counter by the sink to attempt to get some water without ending up in it. Fable sees the other residence as well, Kromas, and has to chuckle, ze thought he looked very hypnotized by the pool before.

Finishes dinner, get's up adn pads back to the kitchen with the plate and pan.
"Actually I have been doing some reading also.. and I agree, there are some very strange, and dark, book there."
See's Fable near the sink "may I be any help?"

"yes the books do seem very dark, I must admit my knowledge of magic is very limited but i find reading about it quite fascinating, though I'd prefer to see it."
"ummm perhaps" Fable admits. "I'm not a huge fan of getting wet but could use some water, if you don't mind could you help me get some." Fable asks pulling over a small bowl to the side of the sink.

Pads over and gets a small glass and fills it at the fridge, then sets on counter next to Fable.
"Majic is real, can be good or dark. it is just a tool.."

Fables eyes are wide and stares in speechless amazement!

When Fable finds their voice again ze simple says "w-wow! How do you..." So many questions that Fable can't even pick just one! "That is amazing!"

Stretches to loosen the suddenly tight muscles.. looks up at Fable

I lay down on the floor, still looking up to Fable
"Remember calming the little dragon? That was a transferal connection to help calm it so we could help it. I have used that to build a deeper connection with my pups. I can tell how they are, and to an extent where, but mostly just helps me know their well-being and mood."
Looks at paws "Some things are easier in the other me, some easier in the current me, but the majic remains the same, just a tool I can use for good, or bad, though I invariably try to chose good."

"No problem Fable... I don't mind, as long as it's kept in confidence." shifts to get more comfortable
"I assume I was born this way, but don't know for sure. There has, as far back as I can remember, been a wild side in me, one that can't be tamed. Drove my parents to the brink sometimes. AS far as the abilities, for years I fought to keep the other in check, only in the last few years have I really started to understand and to learn. Friends have helped me see the possibilities, and also the potential for damage."
Yawns and rests head on paws... "I am strong, but, like a warrior, I need training and experience. I think that may be why I am here."
Yawns again, stands and adds politely "I am sorry, but I need to go rest. The rapid shift is draining, and I am feeling the stress of it. If I take more time I can shift with less effort and energy, and stay much longer in that form, but the rapid shift is also a good thing, when needed."

Fable listens along and replies "I understand Naake ni, rest well. And Thank you for telling me all of this, It is very fascinating. Until another day." Fable bows their head respectfully in a goodbye.

Turns to go, then turns back. "are you planning to stay downstairs, or may I offer a ride up to your room?"

"Thank you kindly but i may see who else may be around" Fable says with a smile

"Okay, just thought I'd offer. Have a good evening!
Turns and pads out of the kitchen, stops at the information and maps, looks at the map for the path to the lake and mutters "oh, I passed right near there the day I got here."
Turns again and pads off to the stairs and up to my den. When I open the door I see it is now different than when I left, having native american touches added, along with a small private area with a low shelf, currently only a lone candle flickering on it.
I again whisper a thanks to Zarco, grab my comforter, pad out onto the balcony piling onto the comforter, and quickly falling into a deep sleep.

The flow of time had stopped for Kro. He was too enveloped in his own mind. Everything just kinda... passed him by. The pool. The pond. Whoever else was nearby. Those memories faded from view.
Next thing he knew, he was back in the treehouse, sprawled out over the dark oak floor. He breathed heavily, gazing upwards. Weird. He had never felt what It had been like to be so vacant before. It was interesting.
He got up, and looked out from his window, sighing.

Naake ni was up early this morning, quite a bit before dawn... departed for the lake after grabbing some food from the kitchen.
Was able to find this spot just before dawn, and was honored to see the new day begin, had been too long since I watched the new day come into being.
Spending the day in quiet introspection on a rock ledge overlooking the lake, listening to all the sounds, feeling the breeze ruffling my fur, adn watching the world thru renewed eyes and spirit. Thinking about staying here overnight and meditating, then seeing it all start again in the morning. My mind is finally quiet enough to hear my mate and pups, to feel them even at the distance between us.
Blissful waking rest.

Kro turned, and went over to the hatch of the treehouse. He turned himself to smoke, and seeped down around the edge of the locked hatch, and gently flowed across the air, towards the training area. Once there, he reformed, and sat upon one of the tables. Looking over the available training armaments, he wondered what kind of use most people could get from these mortal instruments of war. It was something that interested him quite deeply.
He whistled to himself as he inspected a pair of Tonfa, looking over the quality of the craft.

Fable laid in their room amazed at how different the room is now. Instead of a big open room with a giant bed Fable has a nice rocky looking floor with small caverns and tunnels, everything is heated and there is a door that's Fable sized!
Fable lays in the more open area outside the main little cavern and reads through more of the interesting magic books that ze managed to wrangle up to the room.

Naake ni pads out of the woods into the complex grounds, head and tail up high, looking about attentively. Wondering if there are any new residents and looking forward to sleeping in my own den tonight.
The time in the wild has been good for my spirit and I feel even more ready to face whatever reason I was brought here!
As I cross the grounds to the main building I keep looking, but there does not seem to be anyone out and about.
I push open the door, thankful of the changes Zarco has made, and enter the lobby, crossing to the kitchen for a bite to eat.

Fable wakes much later then ze meant to and closes the large book they had been reading the night before. Fable took some time to properly wake and stretch before going down the stairs and seeing whos around. Fable stops at the pond to watch the koi swim around.

Grunan wakes up, and staggers downstairs, it had been a suprisingly busy week. She would not admit it, but the chance to socialize was something she needed. And maybe she could finally get the situation with Kaleb sorted.

A new face approached the apartments. Dark blue-grey with speckles of light blue, the salamander wore all black. T-shirt, jacket, jeans, with a patrol cap. They sighed upon staggering into the place, giving it a quick look around. There was some weird robed snake person... Nah, probably not the landlord... Aha, a pond!
The salamander grinned and plopped down at the edge of the water.

The snake glances at the new figure, but moves past. She did not really want to start a conversation with a complete stranger. Grunan was heading for the kitchen.

Alka woke up and stretched. Despite his lack of social activity, he couldn't be more relaxed. Maybe it was just that, but he decided he better go get at least SOME time being social. He dressed up as he usually did and headed downstairs, wondering who he would see. First stop would be the kitchen, because breakfast.

Grunan was half way through the cereal she had poured for herself. It was suprisingly quiet today, just when she felt like actually talking as well...
She should have said something to the salamander. At least then something would be being said.

As Alka continued out from the staircase, he didn't take notice of the newcomer, heading straight for the kitchen. He thought to himself what he would make, but decided that it would probably be better to just have a coffee with some cereal.

The salamander was tempted to dip their feet into the water, but that probably wasn't allowed. Would be foolish to get kicked out in the first hour. They took a minute or so to think about heading into the kitchen, unsure if anyone could just waltz in to grab a bite. Eh, what the hey? They got up and stepped right in.

Grunan looked up at the two entering. "Good morning." she said slowly. She was trying to be friendly but she was really not very good at it.

Alka walked over to the fridge, looking at Grunan and returning the greeting. Opening the fridge, he took out the milk and some butter, and began making his cup of coffee. "Anyone else for coffee?"

"Probably best if I don't" Grunan states. "I have had far too much the last few days"

The word 'coffee' perked the salamander up. "'Ey! Sounds good to me... Uh, hi, by the way."

"How do you take yours? Alka, by the way." The wolf measured out some milk and placed it in a milk frother, placing a caramel latte capsule into the coffee machine for himself.

Grunan looks over at the coffee machine... "That's not how you make real coffee" she mutters. It was odd she would really care though, I mean she did not even really like the stuff, she only drank it to keep herself awake...
Grunan stands up with her dirty bowl, mutters something quietly under her breath, and puts the now clean bowl in the cupboard she got it from.

"Like my heart -- Black and bitter." The salamander grinned. "... Nah, surprise me. I'm not picky."

Alka smirked before speaking; "True. Although, this way is faster and creates a more consistent coffee. And while I can't remember the last time I burned my powder, I'd think this way would be a bit easier." Looking over at the salamander, he nodded before preparing a second cup for the latte.
((Changed my post. I decided I didn't want to take this approach to Alka. I'd like him to be a bit more normal now that I've refined his character. Sorry.))

Grunan snorts. "Or you could just make it by hand, and learn to make it consistant." She states... "As for it being faster..." She pauses... She was aware there was really no argument against that point, she could do a ritual to speed it up but preparing that ritual took time, and she was not going to tell them to call on the power of darkness for a perfect cup of coffee even if it was quick and easy. (Even though she personally had done that before. As far as she was concerned that was diffrent.)
"...N... Thats a point I guess. But other than that by hand ends up being better!" She states. "...And it probably is easier to use the machine come to think of it." She finishes. "On second thought, just use the infernal thing."

Alka shrugged. "Taking an awful lot of interest for someone who doesn't want a coffee. You sure you don't want a cup?" He began pouring the frothed milk into the latte cup, going slow as to create a heart pattern on the top. He placed it on the table beside the salamander. "There you go. One 'Black and bitter heart'." He said before chuckling and returning to the coffee machine.

The salamander shrugged to Grunan's words. "I dunno, I just like coffee. If it's tasty and keeps me going, that's enough for me..."
They grabbed the cup and took a sip. "Thanks. ... Err, so what're your names?"

Grunan sighs, slumping back down in a seat. "On the contrary" She says slowly. "I think I just proved my point about having far too much..."
She glances at the salamander. "Grunan." she says.

Alka shrugged again. "Suit yourself." He finished his latte before sitting down, deciding to scrap the cereal. "Dr. Alka P. Wolf. But, you can call me Alka." He said before taking a sip of his coffee. "And yours?"

"Riley," the salamander replied. "Just came here like... half an hour ago or something, maybe? Do I need to sign a lease for an apartment, or...?"

Grunan nods. "Technically yes, but I have not seen Zarc around. As this place is basically free anyway I doubt he will mind if you sleep in an unused room. Unless you cause trouble I mean." Grunan grins slightly, she is still trying to be friendly, however She is also still bad at it.

Alka blinked an cocked an eyebrow. "Weird... Zarc never mentioned anything about a lease form..."

"Zarc does not seem to care much for the paperwork going into this sort of place. Which suits most of us down to the ground" Grunan says. "I recommend not questioning it."

-.- Naake ni wakes up under the kitchen table, hears talk of coffee?" Looking around I see 3 sets of legs, 2 recognize, the third..?
I stretch carefully, then get up and pad out from under the table, looks at the others a bit embarrassed... "Sorry, I must have been more tired than I thought when I got back the other day... Last thing I remember is grabbing something to eat and, since no one else was here, laying down for a minute after I ate."
Looks up at Alka, "I hate to ask when you just sat down, but could I get some in my coffee pan? It's in the cabinet beside the sink, if it's not too much trouble."
Turns to Grunan hesitantly "Grunan, I was wondering if we could talk sometime, there are some things I'd like to ask that you may be able to help me with..."
Eyes the salamander, then "Riley was it? Hi, I'm Naake ni." offers a paw

Outside, a youngish-looking crat girl turns onto the Apartments' front walk, smiling widely.

[A few days pass]
Grunan leaves her room, happy for the first time in a while. She moves over to Kalebs room. It was about time they got this sorted.

As Grunan moves over to Kaleb's room he just so happens to step out of it. Stretching his arm with a loud click as he does. He smiles when he notices her and gives a small wave.
"Oh hey there! Doing well"

Grunan looks up, and grins. "Finally, your up. Its about time we got on our way." She states. "Unless you have forgotten of course?"

He shakes his head and starts walking for the stairs, a slight hesitation in his step as he walks. "No, I haven't forgotten about it. How are we getting there?"

Alka walked out of his room, groaning. He stayed up late the night before and was regretting it. Still, he tried to put on a smile, as he saw Grunan and Kaleb heading for the stairs. "Morning you two."

"I managed to get so~" Grunan pauses as Alka moves past. "morning." Grunan looks back at Kaleb. "sent for an old friend. He should be arriving round about now." Grunan states.

"Good morning." Kaleb chirped up in response to Alka's greeting. "Ah okay, that's convenient."

"Come on" Grunan states. There was a hint of excitement in her voice. "This way." She heads for the entrance to the apartments.

Fable had spent the last few days shedding some old scales and now felt nice and new. Ze could hear some talking in the hall and decided with scales nicely shed it was time to go socialize again. Once out in the hall all ze saw was a wolf, ze believed his name was.... Dr.... something.... ze hadn't spoken to him much other than a good morning. "Good morning" Ze called to him coming out of the much smaller door made into the normal door to Fables apartment.

If any residents' minds happened to wander, they might realize Geoff and the kids hadn't been around for a while. None of them were seen in any of the public rooms or outside in the complex grounds, nor were they spotted leaving and entering the grounds. One might get curious if they cared enough...

Alka returned the greeting as he headed downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. He was probably just going to eat before returning to his room for some more rest.

In the kitchen, the crat girl who had walked up to the Apartments a couple days ago was sitting at whatever was used as a table in there, enjoying a bowl of oatmeal.

Fable heads down the stairs and into the kitchen as well. Ze really wasn't all that hungry but would probably hunt later. Ze crawled up, after struggling a bit, onto the table "Good morning" ze said to the stranger.

The stranger looked at Fable, smiling sleepily. She was dressed in a black tank top and a flowy dark-toned t-shirt, and was wearing a pair of pajama pants. "Morning," she said, fluttering her large black wings softly.

"have you just moved in? It's nice to see some people up and about. The last few days things here have been a bit quiet"

The woman nodded softly, extending a hand. "Cassandra Windtail," she said, looking Fable in the eyes. "I just moved in a couple nights ago."

Naake ni emerges from the Apart-den after several days of reading and deep meditation, carrying a bag with several books in it. Pads quietly downstairs crossing the lobby to the library. Looks around to see if anyone is around this early in the morning.
Seeing no one I place the books back on the shelves and start looking for additional books. The the shelves bring up a group including "Aware-Wolf, an in-depth study of the Wolf mind and psyche" and "Physical transformation for the advanced Shifter", which I take and put tin the bag, picking it up by the handle and carry out, setting the bag down by the pond before padding over to the kitchen to get breakfast.
I pull the fridge open using the leather strap, and look to see what sounds good... decide on some leftover ham and corned beef hash... Warm them in the micro then carry to the pond and lie down to eat,while watching the Koi swim by.

Cassandra shrugged softly. "Not yet, but I've been to a few similar places," she said. "So I'm kinda used to it." She smiled softly, fluttering her black wings once again. "What's your favorite place here?"

Unsure of what had happened Naake ni rose from the spot by the pond, noticing the dust ring around where I had been laying "How long was I here?" I wondered to myself...
After stretching and shaking off the dust on my fur I pad towards the kitchen to find some food, and hear voices already there.

Pads over to the fridge and uses teeth to mull the leather strap and open the door, then looks around to see what's interesting.. Sees a pan of meatloaf, picks it up in maw and pads over by the table, sets it down and gets ready to eat...
looks up and asks "Would you like some before I start?"

At the front entrance to the appartments, there was a young looking vixen who was painting graffiti on the walls as a prank. Her "art" all cutesy and weird looking as it seemed to be animated on the wall. Dog's and cats chased one other across the wall, flowers danced with smiling faces, it was pretty freaky art.
