Title: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on September 14, 2016, 10:28:45 AM
Those of you wondering why this one has an Mark 2 attached to it, I did try this a while back, but I had to clear out my gallery I used during then due to an issue, so I ended up having the thread deleted as well. Any of you who may not have seen the first thread may not know that I tend to help out a sprite-comic artist (who goes by the usernames of TorenZabbic or Wild-Roses depending on which comic they're working on) by making props and sometimes making characters for the comics involved. Those of you who are wondering what I use for my primary art program, it's actually the built-in MSPaint for Windows (Windows 7 for me at the moment)

So let's see if we can get this going once more, and I'll start with some of my earliest sprites, so be warned, none of them are quite at the quality that I am putting out as of late.

First up: (http://i.imgur.com/cYv2ZSk.png)
Yes, that's right. Balls of yarn. As a good number of characters in the sprite-comics are felines, I decided to make something they could hold in their hands. Small, semi-complex in texture for something that size.

Next: (http://i.imgur.com/7utHIv3.png)
A wrench-shaped brand-mark. Nothing else to say about that.

Yep, a dog-bowl. Nothing else to see here.

And here's where I start up my main pride in my works, weapons and props. This set was made to look like it was 'mass-produced', intended to be used by generic filler-characters or to be used/destroyed on a whim.

And this'll conclude this first post. I'll add more if people want to see more.

Most of these are from over five years ago, I've got a lot more since then.

I really like it that I can see your artwork again, Vosur :D
Keep the spriteworks and more coming!

Well, if you want more, TorenZabbic/Wild-Roses on furaffinity is the one I work with and the one I give the sprites to be used in the comic. But I can always add more on here next time I drop a post.

Of course I'd like to see more x3
Pff, I'll check them out, but I'd also really like it if you would post more sprites here, of course ^3^

Alright, so let's go for another round of them:

This was among a set of items I made that was to have a James Bond gadget meets ritzy accessories. A simple walking cane that turns into a chaqu (or a night-stick as it's more commonly known).

A prop-set for a smithy. As for that odd shape above the coals, that's actually something that would be copied and set over the colder coals section to make it look hotter. This was still into my early-texturing phase.

A simple firearm design. Not really one of my better ones.

This one was quite a test, but I still lacked the transparent-effect that was needed for it, so it ended up in being more of a collaboration idea, Toren passing the finished product back to me after he added the ice effect to the blade.

Well, the idea on this one came about due to a particular livestream chat I was in. Someone said "It's time to fire her!" so I said "Out of a cannon?" which sparked this idea. I tried making the wooden support textured to look like grained wood, but again, not my better texturing for sprites.

Those of you who might be wondering, yes the staff is a double-ended bladed-trident that can spit apart into two pieces (though I did not make it easy to split apart in this set), and yes, those kris daggers have a button on it. The kris have a venom capsule that seeps the poison onto the blades when the buttons are pressed, though I do not have the concept of that happening made out. I started alternate-modes/-forms in later sprites though.

And some lab equipment for a researcher-medic, complete with a robotic assistant.

And I'll end this set right here.

I like it all so far, I especially like the cane-weapon idea and the blade with the gun the most! ^_^
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on September 14, 2016, 01:01:39 PM
That blade with the gun portion is actually a weapon for a cryo-kinetic character, the sword being a portable refrigeration unit with a telescoping 'blade' for ease of use. The gun kinda acts like a submachine-gun that fires icicles.
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Ventus Fall on September 14, 2016, 01:05:33 PM
That actually sounds really interesting. Then my question would be: What would the gun refrigerate?
Firing icicles... that sounds creepy and dangerous O_O But very effective.
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on September 14, 2016, 01:53:32 PM
The gun would refrigerate the water (which is in the bottle 'clip') in a manner that causes it to form the icicle shape as it exits the barrel, being supercooled so it freezes in the process. And the character, being a cryokinetic type, would relish in using such a weapon.

Round three of my list:

An odd set considering the character it's meant for. The pistol is a dual-ammunition type, being a flame-thrower and a fire-extinguisher in one body. The bars on the canisters is the amount of 'charge' each ammunition has, the boxes above the pistol is the switch-states to choose which one is actively being used. Also, yes, that is a collapsible harpoon underneath it.

Just some more standard items that might be common among characters and one of my true moments in using 'different state' sprites for the same item. Yes, I re-included one of the mass-produced knives an another throwing-knife in the mix.

And a big dump of an attempt at food and diner/mess-hall type of items.

Another collab-work, having made a scissor-katar with a bit of a plasma edge to it, though I wished I saved the original version as the white portion of the glow would not work very well. I may have to end up redoing this with techniques I've learned recently for plasma glow.

Yep, this is the gear that Amaterasu uses in the Okami game, I did this on a whim to see if I could do it, but I think Ammy was even made for use in this comic as a cameo anyways.

Before you ask, no, this was not made with Steven Universe in mind. I actually made this before Steven Universe came out and got so popular, but I had to refine the textures quite a bit since then.

Now here's one I'm REALLY proud of, my first attempt at a Blue Damascene (Damascus Steel) texture. This weapon is actually for one of my characters who now has a role in the comic as well.

Yes, that's a scythe with the training padding on it.

FISH!!!! Caught and cooked... along with a slice of lime for seasoning.

Water lilies and cat-tails. Just some VERY big ones.

And that'll conclude this portion of the list.

Ah of course, I didn't put two-and-two together with the whole icicle thing .-. Stupid me.

Anyways, I can see why you're especially proud of the Damascus steel one. The texture on it is indeed rather well done.
And may I just say that food looks oddly enough delicious xD

Round 4:

On this one, I was trying to teach myself depth and reflection with the pots and the deep-pans, but I don't think I did so well. To be honest, I think these were way too small to be used properly anyways.

(http://i.imgur.com/0qavIDG.png) (http://i.imgur.com/hNqPIK2.png)
I group these two together since they're knives for specific characters in the comic, only having minimal visual reference for both of them.

Gotta have some way to hold your money, right?

Soaps on ropes, scrub brush, bath gels, and a detachable shower-wand for the right side. as for those 'panels', that's sort of a quick air-drying panel, but I had to adjust the skew for it to fit it right in the comic.

A stockpile of an energy drink I would like to call HYPER! Be careful when giving HYPER! to specific races such as cheetahs.

A simple net-launching gun.

A teleport pad and a teleport beacon. Figure that type of tech would be useful in this comic.

This one will be a little hard to explain, but the weapon is specifically designed for an interrogator-type of character. This weapon is a missile-launching pistol that fires 'dummy' missiles with reels of restraining tape attached to them. Now, this one was an early item (almost as early as the cannon), but I went back and refined the texture I had for it

Another custom weapon, while it looks like a taser pistol, this one was designed with a Raichu in mind, allowing her to direct her electricity more effectively to a target than having it hit whatever is closest to the source. The one to the right is a revamp on the color-scheme but essentially the same thing, I kept both for reference in case something happened to the original file when I made the mods.

Weapons that you'd find as scenery props.

Here's an interesting set. It was designed for a rifle-user in the comic, the top being the "standard" rifle type used in the comic (that portion made by Toren) so I would have something to base my design off of for size, then the bottom five are the states of the carbine. The carbine is actually temperature-regulated and does various effects based on if it gets hot or if it gets cold. The section in the upper-right are the pieces for the gloves to be worn while using them since the gun gets boiling hot or freezing cold.

And that'll be it for this round.

Round 5, and before I continue on, I would like to remind you that these were made in MSPaint almost completely. If I had to use another program or get someone to help, I'll state it in the description.

An odd thought, a kunai mixed with a garrote-wire. I guess part of the idea came from the Red Ninja game for the PS2 (the Tetsugen wire weapon used during that game).

A simple spear-and-lance set for a character, played around with the perspective of the shield to give some different angles.

A modified lance-shield-and-armor set, the theory of the armor and the shield having an-able-to-be-toggled electrical field to prevent any unwanted grabs, and as for that spear, it includes a modified rail-gun into the body of it. Yes, character sprites (and the clothing they wear) are disassembled so that any motions can be done without having to redraw EVERYTHING.

I designed these two with a bit of a discerning of certain firearms that would be used in the comic. Both of them are Personal Defense Weapons, but the one on the left is how a "custom" one would look, having a leyline running through it instead of having a power-core (as depicted on the standard for the right)

Yes, that's a minigun/gatling gun. It doesn't use standard ammo, but instead uses energy cartridges that can be quick-dropped for faster reloading.

A weapon design for a character that was to have fire-based powers. Those of you who are wondering what's up with the sword and why the blade isn't 'connected', that is a bunsen-burner type of flame coming out of that handle.

Yep. Bees.

An unarmed and armed jet-ski design I made. The concept of the 'pop-out' weapons actually came from an old show in the 1980's called Airwolf, which also inspired the coloration of the armed one.

A worn CB-style radio and a regular walkie-talkie.

Cave Johnson would be proud.

Dunno why I was inspired to make this one, but I did.

And that concludes this round.

Very cool. I like the money pouch and Jill's custom weapon the most, if I had to pick two favourites x3

Set number 6

Jet Force Gemini inspired sprites/designs.  Yep, instead of the JFG symbol for the shuriken, I made them in to "Throwing S's" The one I really am not sure about is the Tri-Rocket Launcher design. It doesn't really look right to me.

For any of those who have played Wild ARMs Alter Code F (first Wild ARMs remake for the PS2), you may recognize this sword design as it belonged to Jack Van Burace, the sword being called the Artica Blade. I rather like how this one came out.

And on the same tangent as the previous one, another weapon from Wild ARMs Alter Code F, this one belonging to Rudy Roughknight.

Dunno where I was going with this one, but I think I was just figuring out in doing random props.

A bow worn on the neck like a pet would wear. I think I sized this one for a smaller character though.

Some status bars made in the style of the older Final Fantasy series games. I think I did pretty well in recreating the look.

A pocketwatch that belongs to a rather unique and classy demon. It always reads 06:06:06 no matter if it's wound up.

A pair of magnum-style pistols with a set of kama-style blades at the end. The individual using these would have a Preying Mantis style of melee-combat when using these.

A trumpet made of iron.

Yep, that's the sword of the Legend of Zelda series. No reference was used as I did this one from memory. I don't think I even used a reference for sizing either.

A simple katana. I was trying to play around with shapes a bit more to try to make a true katana shape, but I think I made this one's handguard too big/bulky.

A talon-pommeled Khukuri, probably not the most able to be wielded of the weapons I've made so far, but I kinda liked that I tried a design that was out of the ordinary.

And a set of tribal weapons: bow-and-arrows (including a drawn bow), along with a spear, blowdart gun, a set of bolas (no line attached to them since that can easily be drawn in), and a tribal style knife.

A simple core-powered safari rifle. Any weapon design that isn't 'energy' based may use a core in a mag-rail style if it doesn't have a visible firing mechanism. Those are simpler designs since shells don't need to be ejected or slides to be moved.

I kinda tried my hand at making a rapid-firing syringe-launcher in the style of a Thompson... and I have no earthly idea why I ended up with this.

Yep, that's a rocket launcher with a magnet on the tip of the rocket. There's also an EMP grenade as well. So yes, there're robots/cybernetic villains in the comic, and thus such anti-robot weapons would be used.

And that'll conclude this set.

Set 7

Tried to get further with shading to mimic the bending of a crossbow's bend. Kinda made it a compound crossbow instead of a recurve one.

A random assortment of gear the heroes might have on their person, the item on the right is a folding levitation-stretcher (hence the folded up state and the open state).

A set of grenades. Nothing more.

A certain Doc Brown would be pleased.

A set of glasses designs made for a character (no transparency effect added)

The goggles, they do nothing!

The doc's got more items.

Someone's gotta be a contender.

Pen, Pencil, and Quill.

Don't make a mess out of this mess kit.

Had an odd moment remembering the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Simple shackle with ball and chain.

Casey Jones would be proud.

Anyone have a sweet-tooth?

Played around more with certain effects, and yes, these are the different modes of the Chozo Armor (Varia Armor)  Arm-cannon from the Metroid series. This version being closer to the Prime games. Also, a Maru Mari (Morph Ball) just because.

A group of items for a GOOD necromancer in Toren's comic. Yes; the book talks, that's a large and sharp knitting-needle, and that's a black candle.

A jukebox. Primarily it was made using MS paint, but for the gradient-effect, I used paint.net.

And some simple playing cards. I found these rather interesting to make, a balance of keeping the details without sacrificing in making them too big.

And this concludes this set.
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on September 26, 2016, 06:37:33 PM
Those playing cards are some sort of magic... not sure if detail is there or implied O.o

Love the grappling hook gun/launcher thing in the assorted gear!
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on September 26, 2016, 06:53:14 PM
Not really magic, just simple playing cards like you'd see for playing games like poker or solitaire. I did the Joker and the "backs" of the cards up at the top, but I had to do each card face and had to try to make each of the suit's symbols as best as I could.

Round 8 (told you all I had a bunch)

A lock-pick kit for locks ranging from simple shackles to complex terminals.

And decided to try to make an electric "throwing S", made a disposable type and a rechargeable/reusable type.

A fletchette-gun based off of the TF2 Medic's syringe gun.

And had a moment from watching Despicable Me.

A pair of swords designed for someone, lightning effect made by TorenZabbic.

Yep. Batteries.

And a bow to go along with the twin-swords not long ago.

Another custom weapon, this time for a necromancer.

Now if you're wondering why this matches somewhat to the previous bow, this one was actually scrapped for a remake done (which I'll probably not show due to it being in the sprite-sheet with the character), but I found that some aspects would work well for an item for someone else. I did keep the arrows to be used elsewhere, but the bow did need an overhaul to get the concept right.

Another pair of custom swords for someone.

An assortment of throwing weapons from various sources.

A remote-controlled amphibious camera drone with a grappling hook, I have the sprite-sheet for it, but here is assembled version.

A chain-gun based off of the Apache's front-turret

Random items that would most likely be improvised into something. I think I had finished watching MacGyver when I made these.

A standard Jedi-style light-saber. This is where I started to learn how to do plasma-blade effects.

An assembled aerial drone with a flight camera and a tracking camera underneath.

A pair of weapons for someone. One is an energy Sai, the other is a blaster crossbow.

Originally, this was to be a weapon for a rather unique marksman, this pistol being rather accurate yet fast-firing. The pistol was based off of the Mataeba Unica 6 autorevolver. Toren saw it and decided to make it into a gunblade type of weapon.

And decided to make a combat cross type of chain-whip, complete with a silver-stake pommel, iron chains, silver spike-tips, and a jade inlay.

That'll conclude this set for now.

Round 9

A couple of sets for a rather unique character. A marksman who does not rely on sight to make pinpoint precision shots, as he is blind. The first set is for a Wild West revolver that was modified to be able to fire standard revolver bullets along with using coin-like laser 'bit' units that will fire at the aimed target if they are scattered into the air and the trigger is pulled. As for the right set, a set of sniper rifles (anti-materiel and anti-personnel) along with a pump-action shotgun and a standard combat knife. As for the character, he does tend to collect wild-west era weapons and bring them back to tip-top shape, though the anti-materiel rifle at the top is a unique case.

A bunch of different types of flowers, yes, some of them are a bit famous, though the others are generic or specially-designed ones.

A bunch of musical instruments (with a recolor of the trumpet)

A pair of shield-blades based off of the MWS V3 from the Xenosaga series, with a little explanation on how they would be set up.

Decided to make a quick-use rocket launcher, based off of the LAW.

An unusual weapon, this is a maul mixed with a two-hand battle ax. If you're wondering who it's for, it's for a rather vulgar-vocabulary enabled shopkeeper.

Here are a couple of weapons for a pair of necromancers: unique shovels. Now, in this story, necromancers are normally shovel-blade weapon users, but there are exceptions.

And some aged/decrepit looking weapons. Yes, I know, I re-used some of my older sprites with texture-recolors, this was more of a color/texture practice to see if I could get aged wood and aged iron to look right.

And some random types of shotguns... along with a Noisy Cricket just for the sake of saying I was able to make that too.

It would be hard to explain each and every single one of them in this one post, so I may devote a separate post to explaining each of them.

And this will conclude this set for now.

I'll reserve the explanations for each of the ones from that last image if someone wishes to ask, but for now I'll leave it be.

Round 10

Probably one of my more time-consuming botched ideas ever. I made the vehicle too small height-wise for the characters to be in without perma-kneeling in it and it doesn't help that attempting to texture this thing my usual way took over a WEEK just for the main body. Probably the portion I seem to like out of all of this would actually be the landing gear. The flames' texture effect actually was made viable by a different friend of mine who wished to practice a bit with photoshop at the time.

And here is a weapon concept for a villain from my own stories, who may or may not have a working in the comic. It is a Chinese straight-edged broadsword called a jian, but this one has a gas-ejector that runs out of the tip of the sword, the actual mechanism for it is loaded into the pommel. The blue gas will make someone lethargic, and the red one is most likely to kill if exposed too long. If you wonder about the name, it is a strange one for a weapon.

A bow with a dragon-wing motif to the curve of it. No, this isn't the remake I intended, though the person who will use this bow will have some arrows of a similar nature.

Remember the magnum pistols with the kama blades at the end of them? Well, a person that was asking for some inspiration saw them and wanted to have something like that for her own character, so I gave her the blessing for that, she ended up with these above (but hand-drawn for herself), so I made them into a sprite-counterpart for her character in the comic. What we cannot see is that these pistols have a total of seven barrels (we only see three due to it being a side-profile): a standard single barrel for semi-auto standard ammunition and six others for grenade-launching style shots. The kama blade at the ends of these pistols are retractable as well.

Decided to try a hand at plasma-weapons again, deriving the designs from Phantasy Star Universe (not Online), but if you're wondering why the constant green and red motif? Well, I intended these for an unusual army... and no, not one ran by a crazy Saint Nick.

Some days you get one of these.

A comparison of a weapon that was designed by Toren (though the glow effect didn't translate well) on the left, then at the center and right was a similar weapon designed by me in the expanded and collapsed form.

And sometimes, there are quadrapedal 'pets' that would enjoy playing with these.

Some more food, this one made later than the previous sets.

Remember back to the night-stick hidden in the cane? Similar idea here, but made into an expanding double-bladed plasma scythe. All the more suitable weapon for the classiest of demons.

A blaster pistol that becomes a light-saber type of weapon. Similar in design to Zero Suit Samus Aran's Paralyzer from the Smash series, but doesn't act like a whip.

A demolitionist's dream come true. Yes, that's a beam-knife used for lighting the fuses. I think I ran out of mental steam for the bottom row, so it just got silly.

And with that, this set will be concluded.

Necromancer's sword is badass!

With your plasma blades, do you just use one colour and white or is there another lighter version separating them?  I know it looks like there is but Paint blurs adjacent colours itself I've found.
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on October 06, 2016, 08:44:00 PM
When I do plasma textures, I've found out that the best way to get the most crisp transitions for sprites is to go with a base for white, the very edge being the color you want to be most visible, then the second and third outer layers being just between the white and the base color.

So sometimes I use four colors and sometimes I use three. It depends on how thick I need the plasma to be.

And set number 11

Figured some farm equipment that would double as weapons was in order.

Some items themed from the legend of zelda game series. Yes, the red staff is off kilter due to the counterweight on it, but it looked odd without something to balance it.

Turok 2 weaponry, most of them I'm proud of, just not proud of the Cerebral Bore main body.

A peculiar ray-gun of sorts for a character

A bit of an equipment upgrade for a character who has retractable chainsaws in her arms, the red-splotched ones were her old ones. The newer ones are the black-iron ones, then an upgrade to that would be the jade imbued ones. In the story, necromancers are most often weak against Jade as it is considered a holy material. And you're probably wondering about that camera... I ended up making that on the same sheet (I don't know why), but I left it, so Toren used it in the comic for her.

A big bug net.

A rather unique revolver pistol that uses special gem "bullets" to fire elemental shots instead of physical projectiles.

Random food for various creatures, and yes, some eat bugs and spiders.
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)

Nearing the end of my list as I'm intentionally not revealing certain sprites that are possibly story-breaking OR possibly rule-breaking (since character sheets may have nudity to them).

So onto Set 12:

A couple of weapons, one on the right being an ARM from Wild ARMs 5 and the other on the left being a prototype idea that I scrapped: a mace/heavy-pistol combination.

A random assortment of melee and handheld throwing weapons sold by the ever-most lovable and vulgar-vocabularied weapons shopkeep.

A random assortment of firearms (both 'cored' and powder-based) sold by the ever-most-cursing weapons shopkeep in history. The right side was mostly made by Torenzabbic on FA (the same person as I had been learning from and contributing to for the sprite comic he makes).

Remember that hand-shovel and the talking-book I showed previously? Well, they belong to the same person, and this shovel gets a 'custom' upgrade, having a gas-injector of it's own. The gas it ejects is not lethal at all, but will leave an opponent distracted for a long enough time for the good necromancer to escape.

Some random oil containers. Was working on a bit of perspective with the fallen over drum, but the small oil-can might be used, not sure about the drum though.

Hoo boy. This one's got a lot to it despite the items being smaller than most of the others. Upper left, a custom-color leyline system for the PDW and custom color for the core for the machine pistol. Then next we have a simple plasma-hybrid balisong, simple and straightforward. Next on that same line we have an injector switch-blade with various vials for poisons/substances of different types. The next line is where I think I got some ideas from multiple sources, that being the Welrod bolt-action silenced pistol from World War 2 and from the Golden Gun from the 007 movie The Man with the Golden Gun. The bottom two are a normal balisong and a blue damascene switchblade knife, still playing around with replicating the water-like texture that damascus steel has.

Yep, that's a custom rolling pin. It can heat up or cool down to any degree needed.

A claw staff/kama/nunchaku weapon designed for a an anthro-feline who had her claws removed.

Just a lot of different forms to the same items in there. A lot of different ideas for an assassin to use.

Anyways, probably the last set for a little while:

A Pile Bunker style weapon with pikes made of different materials for different creatures. Wood, silver, iron, and jade.

An RBWY moment meets No More Heroes in terms of weapons. Yes, that is a hybrid-plasma katana that can become a sickle on a line.

Uzi meets plasma sword. Not really much else to be said about it.

Some items for a baker, yep, that's a wooden rolling pin among that list.

Those of you who may've played Wild ARM's 5 might recognize this weapon.

And I will post more once I build up a good list. I don't exactly like posting one at a time.

Super cool! Its refreshing to see sprite art, since you don't see threads for that too often (or at least I don't). I think my favorite are the guns--the pops of color against the greys looks really nice ^^ Well...the necromancer sword too, because its purple ;)

That one I felt like I did better with than a lot of my other weapons in terms of concept. Not sure why you'd laugh at that one.

I always dig anything with an Uzi.

This is what I used for the reference on that one, the thin blade-design didn't exactly suit well for me and that handle needed more of a 'use', so I made it an iron-sight.

Again, if any of you have any ideas to throw my way, I'm actually more than welcome to see if I can try them. I tend to specialize in props/weapons the most though, but characters and vehicles are a bit mentally tasking (albeit I have done a few if you review over the pics.

It was a combination of how you made it.
Was quite unique; It looks like a serious design with proper functionality, yet also very straight-forward and 'blunt' to a degree. With that I mean, it is what it was made for. That, and what you said: "Uzi meets plasma sword. Not really much else to be said about it."
Pretty much x)

Care to be open for any ideas from me? o3o

Maybe try a gauntlet with a mini missile rocket  launcher or something. Maybe some form of mech with a flamethrower.

Gauntlet with mini-rockets might be doable, but realize that this will be based off of the size of the characters

This is the approximate sizing for how the items are based, so the micro-rockets might be hard to see properly. The mech will be hard to properly make as that would fall along the lines of 'character' design.

It was a combination of how you made it.

Fire away. I sometimes tennis-ball ideas back and forth, but if that happens, we may need to go to PM's (that includes you too, Shoon) or IM's for further discussion.

And to drop a few more pictures, here we go.

This idea was actually to be a weapon concept for a 'fusion' of two characters belonging to one friend of mine, using their main weapons in a way that would put them both together.

I saw a sketch made by our very own Vokun here in the forums, so I requested that I attempt to make a sprite from it, this is the outcome of it.

I had a moment of thinking how Batman was in terms of his gear, so I decided to try my hand at making some sprite versions of gear that had same functionalities (maybe less "bat" oriented) as what he had.

Remember the revolver with the elemental shots? Well, here's a sniper rifle equivalent... though the design I kinda got inspiration from Mass Effect. This weapon was intended for a different friend of mine, which there will be another one for this friend right below.

This time a pair of rifles, an anti-personnel and an anti-materiel type, for that friend I mentioned previously. Yes, the character is a sniper type, and yes, these can break down for easier carrying.
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Trixsie Vixen on October 24, 2016, 05:45:12 PM
I don't know why but I really, really like those rifles!

Maybe I have some sniper in me?

Now I wonder what things would look like if you did adopt a Bat theme.  Perhaps you're the artist that Gotham needs...
*music swells*

Well, I'm not sure how this idea might be do-able, but something like boomerang shurikens?
I like shurikens, but they don't come back when thrown ;_;
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on October 25, 2016, 02:47:40 PM
@ Shoon: For the arm-based rocket-launcher, I kinda do have something like that already made (see below).

@ Ventus: The Jet Force Gemini shurikens actually have a homing capability AND will return to the thrower if they don't hit anything, but I think I could make a shuriken design to better show that... but the question is are you wanting it palm-sized, hand-span sized, or a discus-sized shuriken?
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Ventus Fall on October 25, 2016, 03:40:31 PM
Oooh, that does sound and look interesting. Very nice :)

I was thinking more along the lines of the star-shaped shurikens, which are able to fit in your hand (or palm). Something you could perhaps easily store to take with you. Does that make sense?

And time for another set:

Decided to go back and try to make a "thrown" version of it since it would be awkward to throw it like a bowling-ball. If you don't remember, this is my take on the Turok 2 Razor Wind, which I just nicknamed the Blue Wind.

And while this is a bit cheating, I also decided to make a Ripper Disc from the Dead Space series, using the Blue Wind as a strong base for it. I did not make the launcher as that is a LOT of moving parts, so this one may just be more telekinetically-involved than used with a launcher/gravity-tether.
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Shoon on November 10, 2016, 07:03:07 PM
I was thinking more of a spear with a trigger somewhere in the middle and the end part having to split ends and a tiny part in the middle which sparks the electricity with the 2 sides.

And as for this one, something akin to an AA-12 with a nice little surprise in the form of explosive mini-grenade rounds.

Guess the only thing left to try is the rail-gun grenade launcher.

Sorta... but it has no rotor at all. The original base-body was designed after a Bell 222 with some mods to it. The turbines on the outer-most sides are what give it VTOL capability, but it has four total engines for regular/boosted flight.

I do apologize for the lengthy delay in which I've posted, but I had hit a SEVERE brain-block for a while. I did try my hand at character sprites, but it would be a little odd to show since they're not assembled (and I don't have the proper software to assemble them since I work with a friend of mine in these). Now, I have made at least one new thing among my list:

Yes, it'll be a bit odd since it's a plasma/dark-matter tonfa set. But it seems I make odd weapons in general.
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Shoon on March 05, 2017, 10:08:43 AM
I immediately got that it's a tonfa but it still looks a bit like a lightsaber with a broken hilt.

Yeah, the inspiration (the Recoil Rod from Mega Man Zero series) is structured similarly, looking like a sword hilt but the blades being much different.

I guess until further notice, I will be dropping stash-links here for the sprites or dropping direct-links to the sprites to allow people to see them.

Anyways, here are the first set, which are books that make weapons/items/creatures appear from them. Think of the weapon-books from Castlevania Portrait of Ruin or from the library books in the Addams Family for these.

The last one on the list for this round is a candelabra that turns into a hand-shovel (a common weapon for a physically-weaker necromancer). If you're wondering about the flame color, that's actually generated from the Mana of the one who normally holds/touches it, she gives off a pink/purple glow. Also, the blade-edge of the shovel is made from a steel-and-jade combination since Necromancers are normally weak against that, making this an anti-necromancer weapon.

Edit: Updated with imgur postings instead of photobucket.

Well, I've been busy for a couple of weeks, but I do have something new to show.

Standard pistol base with the standard suppressor starts off in the upper-left corner, iron-sights in use. In the center, we have the pistol-base with the machine-pistol barrel and the reflex-sight attachment. On the upper-right, we have the pistol-base with the heavy-pistol barrel.

Second-row uses the pistol-base with the recoil-dampening stock along with a night-vision scope and the assault-rifle forward receiver/barrel attachment with an included flash/recoil suppressing tip.

And the last row uses the pistol-base with a bullpup stock, telescopic sight, sniper barrel/forward-grip, along with a recoil compensator.

I do try to give my items texture "depth" depending on the material and the 3-D shape they're supposed to have. And that's usually a challenge for any type of sprite.

Oh wow, I really like how this is looking. The shield and staff, I like how you made a connection between the two, a real 'set', so to speak.
Interesting to add a shell too.

I like it ^^

Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on May 11, 2017, 08:35:04 AM
Well, the shield and staff have the same symbol/crest and same materials. The shell was something 'natural'. All three are meant for a being who lives in the sea, so I figured that would work as animal horns were originally used for war-horns on land.

A simple, oversized broad claymore-length sword. Enough said on that one.

As I've been stuck, I've been asking friends for ideas in case if they needed some designs for their character, so here's another set from another friend of mine.

Similar concept to my VPDW set, this time strictly energy weapons. Pistol to sniper-rifle to plasma naginata, with the addition of a plasma-knife in the parts. Also included are some elemental techno-bombs, too. Yes, that's a feather on a chain attached to the pistol hand-grip.

Some robot-head styles to include hats of different types to be built-into the head. Miner, Construction-worker, and Fireman for the jobs that these would match to.

I've put a mention up on my deviantart's ( https://lotosoretsen.deviantart.com/ ) journal, so I'll make it simple here: I don't sell the sprites I make. I have no intention to. And if someone wants to use them, they can ask for permission (as long as they're not restricted to a specific person for their-use-only) with the condition that whatever they make, it also has to be "free". No patreon involvement, no paywall involvement, and I have to see the project that it will be inserted-into to make sure it retains that "free" status before I give a public affirmation.

I work with Torenzabbic / Wild-Roses on furaffinity.net (Same person for both accounts, made long before the folders were started), so for assembly of sprites, I let him do that while I make disassembled sprite-sheets and the props. For why I'm making props for other people when they may not have the same programs? They can still use them as references (quite a few already have) and have added them to their character ref-sheets in a drawn form.

So I'll say this, Vortex, I'm not selling, but if you plan on making a free-game, we'll talk.

Been over a month, but work's been rough. So here's some more to play with.

For the first set, this is a set of gear for made for a friend of mine, the character is a pirate captain, having all sorts of tricks of the trade on her at all times.

Here's an arsenal for a huntress who is in the comic. Yes, I did re-use the discarded design from Shoon for the spear, of which I still like. I wanted to give her a usable shield too, but I will be explaining that one in the next set. As for that bow, if you're wondering it's draw-strength, it's no less than 200 pounds (Nearly 91 kilograms). Most compound bows are in the 40-60 range for hunting bows hence the arrows being made of different material.

Now here's the shield. You might be wondering why this one won't be used, and I'll answer that: This one's design is too complex to properly skew and texture it without driving me insane. Even just doing it without the extras on it would be difficult. Yes, the shield is shaped like some of the shields of the tribes of Africa, but yes, there are Native American pictograph symbols on it as well. I was trying to signify that she was originally a tribal leader but couldn't pinpoint her exact origin. More-in-likely, this one may be scrapped or may most-likely be used as a coat-of-arms or a story-telling shield.

This one... I felt rather gun-shy on making this prop-set. A friend of mine outside-of-the-forums asked me to make them, of which I didn't mind the request itself, but I felt odd in doing the research on them to make them. I almost did not want to upload the set, but it's already too late for that now.

Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)

I had a Hand Cannon design based off of the weapon used by the main protagonist from Wild ARMs (Alter Code F version) and did a bunch of tweaking to it. As for the bow, it's based off of the Turok Perforator Bow from that game.

Depending on if my motivation kicks my rear again, I might be getting back into putting up more.

The shield may still be used, but I don't think it'll be a held-prop. It'll probably just be something on a wall.

Let's try this again, this time with the right sizing. I would have more sprites to show, but the one after this will be quite a doozy to make.

Here we have a set of plasma weapons for our very own Mr. Razot to use for his characters.  If you want more details on them, please do ask him about them.

I said this one would be a doozy to make, I wasn't lying as it took much longer to make this concept than it should've. As for this project, I made this design with a Sonic Forces OC belonging to a friend of mine in mind, his appearance being somewhat similar to a 007 Bond Villain. With that in mind, I went about in trying to combine the thought of a classy design (a nobleman's common-item being a cane) with not-so-ordinary weapons. The idea of the sword was originally an epee (blade-less fencing-sword that attacks by cuts at the tip and stabs rather than full-length cuts), but I also figured it needed some sort of hand-protection that would need to be hidden. That's when I added the flick-out hand-guard blades on that head. Also, making the whole-cane a gun-barrel for the rifle-mode was an odd adventure, eventually requiring to make a separate head to lock in place instead of the straight-handle head.

This one took a while to do as well, but I already had a gist of what I wanted to do. The character involved for this idea is an ex-gang-member turned military-general, having collected quite an arsenal for herself during her exploits. I did re-use some older assets with modifications, but I felt those designs were fitting to this as well with those tweaks.

Some gear for a futuristic ninja (who follows the same universe-setting as the ex-gang-member-turned-general). I did re-use assets on this one, but I did not have too much else to work with that was remotely similar.

And some bell-fruit. Not sure why I got this idea, but I went with it. They would be edible fruit with flavors like peach, pear, apple, sugar-cane, and even pomegranate. Yes, they do ring when fully-ripe and these attract anthropomorphic bats akin to the Pavlov experiment for dogs.

I'm not really sure what inspired this one, but the person who wanted it gave me a description and I kinda went from there. The design on the blade is supposed to be reminiscent of a circuit board, but I see it almost like an Aztec pattern instead.

I have done character sprites, but they're not easy and I've not been that motivated as of late.

This is an example of how a character sprite would look fully assembled (I don't have the program to properly assemble them, but this one I did make from scratch to the individual pieces)

And this is how characters would be put into a scene
(https://i.imgur.com/WFdRXkl.png)

As for "stuff", you might need to clarify. I have made everyday props and vehicles as well, but vehicles are about as challenging as the characters themselves.

Might need to give me examples of what you mean. I don't do characters too often due to their complexity (it could take me months to do a character now due to lack-of-drive and lack-of-inspiration), and I've had trouble with getting ideas for props. I don't do scenes themselves because I tried one time and it ended... terrible to say the least.

Much like the pistol variant (seen below) It is a firearm that uses gemstone 'bullets' to convert pure Mana into an elemental projectile. The bullets aren't expended but it does tax on the user's energy to keep firing.

Since it is a shotgun, it has shorter range and wider dispersal (or a 'cone" of energy instead of a single projectile), but it can only hold two non-conflicting elements (ie: fire-water are conflicting, earth-wind are conflicting, light-dark are conflicting) in the chambers for this one. The revovler has the advantage of allowing all six elements in the chamber without issue.

Hmm is the shotgun double barrelled or is the lower tube a tube magazine?
Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on March 27, 2018, 07:42:32 AM
The shotgun's an over-under. Since it doesn't need to reload (unless swapping elements) much like the revolver, a tube-magazine wouldn't be ideal. Also, it has dual triggers, but the secondary trigger is harder to see.

Gone for too long on the creative side... but let's get back into the swing of things.

First up, a simple 'shaker' staff used by monks for scaring away bugs and smaller ground-creatures so they don't get injured during a walk.

A multi-ammunition designated-marksman rifle. Uses the same concept as the Mana firearms I've done previously, but the elements used are very limited here. Yes, a lot of the design was used from previous projects.

Well, the latest set is for a different friend of mine, but I did use a lot of the base-body from a previous work, and yes, it is smaller. It's more towards a Designated Marksman Rifle rather than a true sniper rifle.

Another shotgun, this time a hybrid of an auto-shotgun and of a standard pump-action. It not only uses clips for the shells, but it uses a tube magazine for alternate ammo to be held in the same weapon. And yes, those are grenade-rounds on the blue-shells.

A pair of dueling-daggers for a fighter-witch. Kinda based the thoughts off of the fighter-swords that Ashton Anchors from Star Ocean: The Second Story uses. I am still making stuff, some of which has been going really slowly due to issues and some that are still needing refinement before I drop them here.

A friend of mine wanted some custom blasters for her characters, so I obliged and went at these ideas for her. If you're curious to know more, I can provide details as needed. Also, as an added bonus, I had to redo the last one, but I liked the design before the redo, so I kept that and here is that version as well.

Taking a bit longer since work has been keeping me really busy, but here's a couple of things I've managed to get done.

The idea of this was something for robotic/fully-mechanical characters for replenishing their liquid-energy supplies. The first one was a homage to the E-Tanks from Capcom's Mega Man, just done up more like energy-drink cans. The brand that this is called is "Charged". The second one is more towards a refillable container for the "Charged" drink, even with an indicator to show how much is left inside.

Another design for a friend of mine, a single-chamber Mana Pistol with no requirement for outside energy to be used as each of the shells act like batteries in this one. I was going to add an embellishment or some sort of paint-job to it, but my friend did not get back with me on what sort of icon or design he'd want on the pistol. As for that yellow shot in the bottom left, that is a longer-range stun shot similar to a taser shock, not having any elemental affinity to it.

Title: Re: Spriteworks from Vosur (Mark 2)
Post by: Vosur Aekira on October 17, 2018, 09:53:36 PM
Yes I have, and most shells of a Caster are single-use only while Mana Firearms (self-powered or standard) are near-unlimited in shots that can be used (factors limiting this would be: the person's own energy if standard or the gun's power-supply if self-powered, the condition of the Mana filter gemstone "bullet", and the condition of the gun itself).

I have thought about making a sword variant, but figuring out the element-change setups might take a bit. Prototypes usually only hold one element at a time, but upgraded versions would have to be able to switch between multiple elements.

Well my psionic sword idea usually used the energy within a being to form a blade I suppose a powerful enough battery like device would work, the fail safe might be a problem though, the user has to have a grip on the sword hilt for the energy to stay in the sword otherwise because of the fail safe the energy just leaves.

Had to update the link for the pistol, but here's something else to add to it.

I wanted to make a custom weapon for a character belonging to a friend of mine, but the basic barbarian-type usually is hard to make something truly-custom for. Monster Hunter's weapons actually had some good ideas, but I felt that even they lacked the right feel as well, so I combined the switch-axe idea with King Dedede's Jet Hammer for a bit of some extra oomph to the swing.

Tried a few things to work on for a friend of mine, which oddly enough the most-simple out of all of them was kept.

(https://i.imgur.com/k20l33x.png) And here's the one kept, a standard Colt-style revolver with removable revolving-chamber.

(https://i.imgur.com/Fn0sycq.png) This one was a bit interesting to make, but I was trying to make a revolver-hunting-knife mix (that didn't pan-out so I kept it as-is), but I did make a revolver-club.

Yes, it's a tiny work drone (based on the GHOSTs from Destiny) with 'floating' arms. Each arm also contains a welder/cutter/soldering unit for repairs.

September was mostly a 'dry' month in terms of ideas, only managed to get to do one during then. I do have some ideas in the works now, but this one was the only completed idea.

This one's for a friend of mine: A paint-brush rose that creates a sword-blade. The person mentioned that the character loves blue-roses, loves to paint, and seemed to be skilled in fencing. So this idea took a bit of working. The hardest part of this idea was coming up with a good angle for the open-rose (hence why there is two versions). I may need to practice on designing flowers after this next project is done.

I've not entirely been dead this past month or two... trying to do some here and there while my body tries to recover from this season of shenanigans from work. But that aside, this idea was one that I kinda tried to get after seeing a picture of the Iron Knuckle boss from The Legend of Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link. Essentially, a mount or ride for the law in a section of the comic my friend makes.

Kinda. More towards "what if the races in this area tried to make their own means of transportation?" in thinking. The left side was pretty much a 1:1 size comparison to the riding-creatures my friend has made, but just designed in steampunk manner. The right-side is an 'update' to the same idea.

Not entirely dead, just too quiet during the roughest season of the year mentally for me. Would've stayed quiet longer, but I know too long makes isolationism more enticing. But onto what I've done:

This was a bit of a concept for trying to make a steampunk version of one of my characters, having to concept a weapon for her using tech ideal for that setting. Simple and straight-forward, it's a Punt Gun with a scope on it and a shortened barrel. Still got enough kick on it to knock most people on their rears.

Joke/toy weapons. I wanted to make more on this one, but this one kinda ended early and burned me out for a whole month.

And this little guy. I actually liked making this one because it was small and an attempt at a sprite-sheet again rather than just props. Heavily inspired by the Batton ("Black Ball Bat") from the Mega Man games, I figured it'd be like a reconnaissance drone. I also added in some touches that kinda make me think of Wheatley from Portal 2 (due to the expressiveness that I gave it).

So what do you think?

Edit: Fixed the links. Sorry about that.

This one has a lot of lore on it, but long-story-short: the purplish-metal has a very high density, making this weapon rather hard for normal people to wield, much-less lift. The symbols are all letters/numbers for a language in the story that the character would belong to.

Yeah, making symbols that small is difficult to do to make it look accurate to the writing of the involved-world.

And yep, it is supposed to be a sword-spear that converts to a cross-guard arming-sword with swordbreaker prongs. It already hits like a tank normally, and adding that capability of reach makes it even more deadly in the right hands.

Well at least you are i'm still having some trouble doing my own pictures...
Sometimes you just need to take a while away from what your doing, maybe spitball some ideas back and forth with another person?

Finished another for the same friend, this time getting in a good bit of practice with damascene patterns again. If you're wondering on the size of this, it's supposed to be a nodachi or greatsword. The rune on the sheath is known as the Eye of the Life Goddess, the scratching through being intentional (a right-side-up, not scratched-through version just to the left of it for comparison).

As for this one, since I did a fair bit of practice on the damascene pattern once more, I decided to improve the shape of an older sprite to a more feasible katana shape.

This past month's been rough mentally on everyone, so I didn't expect to have anything to show, but here we are. Anyways, here's another weapon set for a friend of mine (different from the previous two). The pistol uses water-elemental energy, firing high-pressure shots of water and even shots of super-chilled ice if the weapon is charged. The tonfa in question collapses for easy-storage, but when out, it works similar to a combination of the Recoil Rod from the Mega Man Zero series, the "glow baton" from Demolition Man, and a standard tonfa.

Sorry about being quiet again, but this has been too rough of a year in general. Been having to redo the characters (particularly the female shaped characters) I've helped to make in the sprite-form, but redoing full-character sprite-sheets takes a lot out of you. Anyways, I decided to take a break from that and tweak a more-recent one, this time showing the full-parts details.

The characters have 'nude pieces' (meaning they could be full-nude if needed) and the sprite-sheets are fully-disassembled (which looks like someone played a living jig-saw puzzle with the character to be honest).

I do have an old assembled character design to give an idea of how they'd look:

And yeah, this is the previous body-shape. I would show the current one, but I don't have a character fully-complete with the new shape.

And yes, I've been playing Fallout: New Vegas. For the first two, making the stock was actually the hardest part of the design. Having it adjusted to the right size and the placement of the thumb-hole was actually very difficult to do right.

If I remember correctly, it was a silver bullet (not something from New Vegas, just my own touch), a standard one, and a 'ball' shell (another not from New Vegas). There's undead in this comic, so of course the silver-bullet was to make an appearance. The 'ball' bullet is just something that only particularly-skilled snipers can make use of to dispatch more than one enemy at a time.

I do apologize for the lengthy delay, work has been hectic and has drained me quite a bit (busy season), which put a big hamper on my creativity. The next sets are going to be for a group that I'm part of, our characters being space-based mercenaries.

This one belongs to the leader of this group and the commander of the main ship. She uses an enhanced officer's sword to cut through physical armor while her blaster has a couple of options: An underside missile launcher with the ability to track and home-in on targets (think akin to the crossbow that Scarlett uses in the first GI Joe movie), and the ability to supercharge the energy shots by hitting the red button on the side of the stock.

This set belongs to the ship's resident-doctor if she's ever needed to go out into the field with the team. Her in-field equipment includes a stun-blaster with a tranquilizer dart launching mechanism if she needs to fend off attackers from a distance, a set of tonfa that can combine into a staff with a bit of a pneumatic mechanism to provide more concussive impact in a direction of her choosing .

And this set belongs to the resident 'rogue' of the group. She has a plasma/solid-state hybrid knife for her dominant hand and a standard-issue survival knife for the other when she gets up close, and for her ranged-weapon: a modular blaster with the add-ons of a super-cooler and a solid-state projectile launcher mechanism for rapid fire of various ammunition (ranging from standard AP to short-radius EMP).

Making some progress in the group. Four down and one to go.

This one belongs to the "security officer" of the team. While she is a strong physical character, she does often cause collateral damage with her weapons of choice (turret-based chain-fed missile launcher and ion-cannon, both modified for her use). Even if an enemy gets in close range, she has a hybrid plasma/solid-state folding-sword that can become an axe.

Well, bad news: The laptop I had for less-than-a-year went kaput rather gloriously. What this means is that the last one I was working on is incomplete (thankfully mostly saved elsewhere with more than one type of back-up) and I have been delayed a bit because of that.

Good news though: the old laptop (that I've had since near the start of my time in the forums) is up and running again. I might be able to use it for resuming the work since most of it is done in MS Paint.

And a bit of a sneak-peek to show what I did manage to save/recover before everything went down.

@Shinzuu: Software's not an issue. It's a hardware fault unfortunately. It's either the motherboard or the CMOS chip, and both are not easy fixes since the CMOS is soldered on and the motherboard is essentially the entirety of the laptop due to multiple soldered connections in various places. I already have plans on how to replace it with a desktop, even have the hardware in mind. Just having to be patient in getting it.

Now, for a bit of an update:

I'm still working on this set, an oversized physical-energy hybrid shield being the last item for this character's set of equipment. If you're wondering what's up with the gatling gun, it has built-in anti-gravity stabilizers for easier one-handed use while the character can use her other arm with the shield (essentially making her a moving fortress). It can also collapse-down and be easier to transport when not in use

Another update to the set (one more before finalizing)

The change in color is due to the components of the shield matching the background too much. This color also assists the energy-shots of the rifle to be more noticeable now. Green seemed to cause some light 'blending' issues.

Edit: Grammar fix... seems like I can't type well early in the morning.

Thanks, but the one who made the design for it and the gatling gun (without some of the tweaks I put in) was done by a friend of mine, I just made it into a sprite-design. I also did some adjustments to the shield, but you'll get to see them when I get through with the side-view (collapsed and expanded).

Bit of update: I removed the old WIP's for the last one I posted, so you all will notice "image does not exist" placeholders. Sorry for that.

I am still trying to make stuff, but going back to helping a friend of mine with designs again, so onto the art now:

This one is a bit of a concept for an idea, I won't delve into too many details, but it is an assault-rifle/auto-shotgun hybrid.

This one is just a bit of spriting to keep myself in practice. If anyone is familiar with the design of the weapon (in all three versions in the sprite-sheet) don't state where it comes from! I know where it's from and for the sake of the forum-rules, I would rather not have that told due to the nature of the source. The source is very violent/gory.

Several ideas when into this design for another friend of mine. A multi-elemental configuration as per most weapons that draw on the character's innate energies (mana, chi, ect.) The hilt was based off of a standard katana (albeit beam-blades tend to be straight blades), the change-out point being the pommel dropping down to eject the cartridge/gem. The 'sheath' was a mixture of a weapon from Metal Gear Rising: Revengence and from No More Heroes (Sam's HF katana and Travis's beam katana) in the idea, but adding another cartridge/gem load-point as well. The character that this set belongs to primarily uses darkness element for the blades, but not quite sure what type of effect that'd have as a melee-weapon attribute since it doesn't disperse.

Been quiet for far too long... been too busy and too drained. Had a few months of no-activity but I am starting to get it back.

While a lot of the characters that I design equipment for seem to have an innate-ability for magic/magic-like power, this one is unable to use such abilities. So she relies on tech that can mimic certain elements to work around such weaknesses.

Back to a magic-user with a combat-firearm, this one is a revamped version of a prior idea between myself and the owner-of-the-character that this is for.

A silly little idea, but this one was meant to be a delivery drone of similar-size to the "Black Ball Bat" from before, but this drone can also be a chaser-trainer for certain characters (when caught, it would drop off whatever is contained in it as an incentive for the pursuit).

And this one... might not need much introduction at all. There's a few tweaks to this compared to the original design, but I'll let the picture explain itself.

The helicopter is from a 1980's show called Airwolf. The concept of this helicopter (which is still not possible to this day still for various reasons) is that it is a Mach 1+ armored attack-helicopter with the capability to blend in with civilian aircraft at the time. A "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" if you want to consider it, further hinted by the patch worn on the flight-suits of the pilot and crew.

Got myself watching the 2013 movie Space Pirate Harlock (or Space Pirate Captain Harlock in some regions), the weapon used by the movie's protagonist was an interesting design (and noted that apparently others were supposed to have similar type of weapons too but didn't make the cut). So I decided to try my hand at making a Gravity Saber of my own, mostly keeping it simple and adding in a beam-blade to make it more viable for cutting.

Bit of detail on these two: they are the "weapon forms" of an undead character that still tries to be good, her affinity being that of cold. The first one is a cutlass form for a very large character, the second one is a greatsword (the wielder being strong enough to lift it despite being half the size of the one who would hold the cutlass).
