Hey there,
in a different topic the idea was stated to hold a forum meet-up so we get to know each other better in person.
This meet-up would be in July in Berlin, Germany.
The date has yet to be set idem with the hotel and activities. So, if you have an idea what we could do, or a proposal for an hotelroom: post it here.

Actually no. I have a house there, never needed to stay in a hotel. But they hold the Eurofurence there every year (I don't remember at which hotel). I think they'd be welcoming towards a group of furries. Still, I don't know about the price.
An hostel is quite reasonable for a price, or having a house is also great.

Well Firox, a small meet-up to begin with on the European continent since it is a bit central in its' location.
But next year it could be in the US

I'd attend the us one too if I'll have $ for the plain.

Oh yeah, the plain, well I prefer a plane view.
But the European one is going to be a small one, that's for sure.
You can see it as a "training ground" for the biggger meet-up in '17

Bricket, wouldn't mind if the next year meeting is in Europe - never been there, it would give me more reason to go (have something to look forward too)

I think editing the first post with relevant information and a list of names would be better.
In any case, I'm not 100% sure. It really depends on how much I'll have to work to finish and discuss my thesis at uni. But I'll most porbably come. For now, count me in.
As soon as we have a good estimate of how many people can attend I'd start looking for hostels. The sooner you do so, the cheaper it will be.

Whilst this could be a really cool idea I think it would be hard to get too many people together due to how this forum has a very wide international audience.
Whilst many are in various parts of the US, I'm in Sweden myself which isn't all that far from Germany, though far enough that I doubt I'd be able to attend an event like this.
That said, I will be heading for Berlin in August to attend Eurofurence so if anyone else is going there, do let me know!

Great idea actually, Since you're informed may I ask what's the pricing for Eurofurence? Might me a good idea to go there and have a meetup in the same trip.

Thanks for the info! Still have a week to decide, 100€ isn't that bad but it's not cheap either. Will look around for other hotels/hostels for both the meetup and con if I attend. Will see what others thing first though.

I won't go to that con because of reasons.
Also in August I have to see if it doesn't interfere with my 2nd attempt for my midterms
