Title: hi ya guys (new to the whole furry stuff)
Post by: [D.E.M] zetsumei on November 04, 2007, 08:24:16 PM
well, i am just a regular guy new to all this furry stuff... although i hate all that 'yiffy' stuff, i know i am a furry deep within but i haven't discovered the species yet, can you help me fit a species to the following personality?

well, i am pretty shy (i even have trouble writing this down, seeing that ive been kind of ashamed that i am a furry..) but at the same time i am very curious (people say that im TOO curious) and playfull.... i am not very strong, but i do not really use my strength anyway, i try using my slyness and sharpness to get trough life... uuhmm so, is this enough to decide what kind of species i would be???

Welcome to the forums and furriness!  :D

You can be a furry without the yiff. Everyone feels like they can relate to a certain animal, many just don't know it yet.  :P

You sound like a cat to me from what you've said, but it's always up to you. Pick a species, colour, whatever you find fits you best. You can always change your mind if you find something that fits you better.  :)

Being furry has nothing to do with yiff. I'm a yiff-free fur.

Welcome!

Maybe a tiger cub. They are VERY curious and they have all the aspects you described. I believe we don't have any red or green or black ones...Anyways, welcome to the FFs. I hope you make enough friends to keep you happy.

first i did the 'furry pureness test'

result:
You answered "yes" to 7 of 45 questions, with a total value of 12 points out of 205, making you 94.1% Furry pure; that is, you are 94.1% pure in the Furry domain (you have 5.9% Yiffboy in you).
According to the scoring guide, your Furry experience level is: True furry.

and then i did one to define my fursona
(personality is so acurate that it gets scary)

Red Fox
Genera and species: Vulpes vulpes
Collective Term: A skulk of foxes
Description
Appealing and cerebral and of average size, the fox is a close relative of both the wolf and dog personalities and displays typical canine qualities of loyalty, passion and creativity. Largely misunderstood to be a shy, retreating individual, it's the fox's unique stature as a small carnivore that defines its survival strategy. Because it cannot succeed in the world using brute force alone, it must rely on its sharp mind and engaging personality to garner resources, and it consequently spends a lot of time in its head -- giving the impression that it's trying to outsmart its friends. So the fox is often surprised to learn that its intellectual pursuits are intimidating.

So, the fox tempers its serious nature with a sardonic sense of humor and engaging playfulness while interacting with its eclectic community. It expects others to be as honest about their strengths and shortcomings as it is of its own, and while these high expectations don't make the fox a snob, it expects its friends to first demonstrate their worthiness before returning the favor with loyalty and devotion.

Foxes are typically successful in the work place but their competitiveness and ambition sometimes makes coworkers feel belittled. They would never deliberately take advantage of others, but their single-mindedness often blinds them to their feelings. So they thrive in their own businesses and like to surround themselves with family and friends in these ventures. Although they demand consensus in all decisions, they dominate discussions and steer the plans to reflect their own agenda.

A discussion with a fox is invariably stimulating and challenging. Its great curiosity and worldly experience makes it a wonderful conversationalist and it's able to hold forth on a number of different topics with ease. Sometimes, however, the fox will view a conversation as a competitive challenge, which proves to be off-putting and annoying to its companions.

but now i am doubting myself, arent fox furries in general people who always draw foxes having sex together?? thats sick

can you define gracefull please?

oh, and for people wondering where i got the test, its this one http://www.animalinyou.com/survey.asp

but i dont think it has things like most furs are, you know, hybrids dragons and stuff arent there, but its a good place to check if you are a bit unsure about what you are

...one sec...
two definitions:
1. showing elegance, beauty, and smoothness of form or movement

and

2. marked by poise, dignity, and politeness

i see it another way: you have a lvel head and can hold your own without help, keep others toegther with a few choice words and you are elegant in the loosest term and tightest term.

Take it how you wish. Anything lse you would like defined?

well, im not really classy elegant or very handsome.... not really gracious at all i think... but i think the idea of being a fox feels like i am even more stereotype then i already thought that i was, except that i am not at all into all that yiffing crap (i think a lot people claiming to be foxes are only here because of that though seeing whats around on the internet (people are sick)

cmon you guys, i have to aggree with the guy above facial features dont really represent the creature you have inside, i am kind of average looking, nothing to really notify that im special in any way, ive got kind of dog-like eyes (talking about the iris, in color and stuff, not in size), but that about all...

but please, dont turn my first thread into a fight.

I know this was from a few posts back, but...
No, that's yiff, and completely different. Foxes can be non-yiff too.

And don't feel pressured to post pictures if you don't want to. I prefer to remain anonymous as well, and I'm keeping it that way, whether everyone else is posting pictures or not.

I also disagree with the facial features thing. I most certainly don't look like anything resembling a dragon or cat, but I don't look like like any other animal either. I'm physically human, as is everyone else. Your personality defines your furry side.

92.7 % isnt bad, its about normal i think.... if you are a true furry, i think it would have tobe above 85%, and you are well over that  :)
