it was mid afternoon in the city of California. everything being much... calmer than it normally is. oh it's not peaceful that's for sure, not with the dead walking the streets. you would think this sort of scenario only to exist in games and movies but for some odd reason it is actually happening. and it's been two weeks, power is still on, stores still fairly full, and angry or paranoid people everywhere. and no one can leave even if they wanted to with walls that reach up to the sky that completely surround the city.

in a quiet corner store a single husky anthro was scavenging for any supplies to sustain her. she needed water above all else. she was quietly making her way around the store to not attract the undead that were already here. she learned this day one of the strange set of circumstances that if you moved slowly and made as little noise as possible they wouldn't horde or even attack as if they were blind or something. she has only been inside for a few minutes and hadn't been to the coolers yet hoping that you could find the water she needed.

The end of the world started on a Monday, saddly not too many people remained to appreciate the irony.

What did remain was...something else entirely.

The walls came up with an impressive if alarming speed, closing off the city from the rest of the world qnd trapping the survivors inside with /them/, condeming those who were left beyond to a fate worse than death.

A fate which Xia would very much rather avoid. The coyote hums as she works shuffles through the fridge. The house around her was an identical copy to the houses up and down the suburb, at least in structual design. Four bedrooms with a small back yard large enough for a small garden, or in tbis house's case, a hot tub. The threat of being devoured by undead canibals kept Xia from using it.

The house around her was not her own. A friends house she was watching while they were out of town. It was a rather nice house, Xia reflected, made dark and glooming with how rugs were nailed over the windows to make it harder for those outside to peer inside.  What furnature hadn't been stacked against the door had been broken down for fire wood or barricades. They were mostly there for reasurance than protection though ; Xia's skill with a hammer was lacking...

The coyote's tail swishes back and forth, she makes a face as her nose goes up and down from shelf to shelf. Her friends had been kind, leaving her an ample supply of food for the week.  Which ammounted to nothing after the power went out.

The perishables went first. Xia gorged herself on tv dinners for the first few days so nothing would spoil, finishing off the ice cream quickly simply because the world was ending and she needed comfort food.

It was partly the reson the coyotes stomach spilled out under her levi vest and over her belt. She never expected it possible to gain weight in the appocolypse...but she mannaged. Ironically she now faced a new threat other than the shambling husks of undead patrolling the neighberhood.

Starvation.

Two weeks. She waited for two whole weeks for...for...anyone to show up. The army, the marines, the air force, blazes even the girl scouts would be welcomed at this point with their delcious cookies...and fudge...and icecream bars and...

Xia shook her head. "Easy gal. Git ahold of yerself. You can get through this. Just go ahead and ration out your food and wait out the long haul."

Xia looks down at the can of spam in her paws. There was a reason the can survived the coyotes hunger.

With a sigh Xia tossed the spam over her shoulder. "Heck with it."

A moment later the yote has an empty messenger bag strapped to her back and a base ball bat in her paws. She peered out the front window and down the street. The sunset over the city highlights the empty road. Still a sense of fear over comes her, at least until her stomach growls.

With a sigh Xia turns the knob...opens the door...and steps outside for the first time in days...

Zaida waking in a alley had groaned as she stumbled to her feet her ears laying back against her head and eyes squinting a bit under her gas mask, disturbed by the slight crack on the right lense. Looking at the sky for a moment she thought.
The hybrid stood unsure how she was in the alley... Looking at few furry corpse and some trash and other items laying about it was a fight, she would be able to take on or at least escape a small group but the apocalypse just starting a few weeks back there was quite a lot of survivors. They were fighting for something but wasn't important now, the lucky one got away with whatever it was. She gave a long sigh and brushed herself off her clothes a bit wet from the small puddles.
Walking to the dumbster she looked behind seeing her utility bag. 'Damn lucky I hid it before it happened... All my supplies would have been stolen, I mean I'm lucky to even be here... Some groups would have used me like some...' She shook her head trying to get that thought away 'how about I don't think about that. I can escape them easily anyways they have no luck' she huffed Holding the bag she held her bruised side and walked slowly looking from both corners holding her crowbar firmly her paws beaten and covered with a bit of blood.

The gruff and gravelly voice cut through the wailing screams and pleas for help like cold steel through paper.

"Sorry."

The axe split the lizard's skull with such vehemence that the young man did not even have time to react. Blood spattered across the front of the massive badger, who wrenched his weapon free with some crunching and grinding noises that had some of the bystanders dry-wretching onto the ground. Kreed looked back at them, but there was no pity in the gaze.

"You monster! We could have saved him!" Screamed a woman from nearby, who had climbed behind the couch when the badger had entered the room brandishing the heavy axe. "You crazy **censor**." She spat at him, to all of which the axe-man seemed entirely deaf.

"I'll leave, then." He said simply, prodding the corpse with the end of his axe gently. The slight shift of fabric revealed the festering bite wound, the scales and flesh around the area already turning a dark red and yellow. Kreed grumbled something incomprehensible and turned for the door of the small apartment, pushing aside a teenage wolf that stood there pointing a pistol at him, Kreed's huge paw clearing the way like the canine was little more than a fabric curtain. The boy stumbled aside and dropped the gun as Kreed stepped out the door, having to slightly duck his head as he did so. He reached down and grabbed his bag, brushing the blood off of his shirt absently as he looked around. The building seemed quiet for now.

Shame, they were a nice family.... He thought to himself, moving towards the stairs. His ears lowered as he heard a gunshot outside, but there were no windows on the interior of the apartment building. He sighed and made his way down the stairs. He had been laying low here for a few days, but these people were too optimistic. They were all going to die whether he was here or not, it was simply a matter of time. It would be best if he wasn't here to see them turn. Unfortunately that meant most of his food was forfeit as well, but he knew of a store not too far from here that had been mostly untouched. He turned in that direction, keeping an eye on the streets.

Drago passed the burning vehicles, the upturned and wrecked vehicles, the bloody vehicles and the random vechiles with their hoods open, and engines missing.

The city street was silent, and drago thanked the gods above that the zombies had been a minimum today. The dragon had spotten a pair of undead picking at the bones of the remains of their victims.

Drago was stealthily moved from each car and was picking through their interiors for anything that he could find. His machete was in hand and his eyes were like hawks, examining the surrounding for zombies or ...people.

The husky was taking her time getting to the coolers not wanting to stir the undead. by now she could see it with it's lights on. you know what with how well she was doing for the past few days she would grab a soda if there was any left she needed something a little more comforting that the plain water she has been drinking for the last week. as she kept inching herself closer she could see that there was a fair amount of water left but a severe lack of soda. she wold have sighed but a moan from the isle next to her reminded her not to just in case. now the only problem was how to get inside the cooler with all of these undead around.

Ten minutes into hwr search for food and so far so good, as in so far the yote has not become food for zombies. Rubbing a paw absentmindedly on her swollen midriff Xia shudders to think how long it would take to devour a creature as...well fed as her.

Xia put off the thought. She couldnt be distracted as she travels down the road. The streets are disturbingly...quiet.  The power was out in this neighboorhood for reasons yet to be identified, the houses were dark, still. But xia could not help but feel that she was being watched. It only served as incentive to move faster.

She came to the end of the subdivision, resting under the cover of a car wrapped around a teliphone pole. The street ahead of her gradually turned into comercial buildings. Somewhere at the end of the road there was a store, a super market of sorts. If only she could get there, grab some food, then retreat to her humble little abode, she would be golden.

Kreed stopped only to rummage through a recently wrecked car, ignoring the mangled zombie in the drivers seat as it waved its arm at him sluggishly. The idiot had managed to crash into one of the telephone poles sending power to part of the town. Luckily the mangled front of the vehicle had trapped the dead body, pinning it permanently to the seat. Kreed absently sifted through some articles in the back, pocketing a box of nails but little else in here was of value. Not even any food or water.

The store was within sight now, only a couple shambling undead standing between himself and the doors. He casually pushed one away with the end of his axe, herding it at arms length until he had it up against a wall, where a quick swing took off the thing's head and  scraped loudly against the concrete wall. Carefully avoiding the still slavering head, Kreed looked around, seeing if the noise attracted anything else from the alleyways. The last thing he wanted was to get trapped in the store with a horde of undead swarming the doors.

Seeing nothing but the remaining zombie eagerly coming after him, he nodded to himself. Safe enough to risk it. The zombie making its way towards him met a quick demise at the blade of the fire-axe. Kreed averted his face to make sure none of the blood got near his eyes, then stepped around the creature and into the store. As the door opened an annoying chime sounded, and the badger winced.

Beeng-boong

Zaida wasn't in the best shape for a would in her side and a pounding headache. She groaned softly fixing her mask and studied the streets once more... Nothing. Buildings were torn apart cars smashed into one another. "This is chaos..." She grumbled as she began to lightly jog holding a crowbar hoping to not attract any survivors or infected.
The hybrid kept her eyes sharp while her ears listened closely, desperate for someplace else before getting into trouble. Stopping after jogging down the block hearing a noise growing curious but cautious unsure what to do.

Drago stopped at the nearest car, a four door, green sedan with the entirety of the inside covered in the blood of a unlucky individual. Drago sat on the cold asphalt, leaning against the closed metal doors and bought out his prized possessions. He bought the white object to his massive draconian jaw, bringing the lighter to his mouth. With a quick switch, a fire burned in his hands and lit his cigarette.  Drago inhaled slowly, his system responding to the smoke, and he felt his lungs being wrapped by a warm blanket, so intoxicating and bringing such relief to his exhausted mind and body. Taking small, slow draws of the cigarette, he felt rejuvenated and happy, a booster. He sat against the door and relaxed.

Pat was staring down the doors to the coolers when she heard the electrical bell chime. She froze not wanting to alert the undead and waiting till all the ones in her vicinity shuffled towards the doors. There was about six of the undead in the shop, one behind the counter two at the counter one by the coolers and two in the shelves separated. Once the undead close to ger wandered into the shelves she immediately began getting her drinks. Slowly opening the doors to the coolers to not attract attention.

Cia could have chosen a better place to hide, in retrospect. She didn't even hear the zombie in the car until she threw her back against it. She had of cojrse seen the undead by now, up close but not...this upclose. What was she going to do? Leave it alone and risk it calling more to the area like a dinner bell? Or risk injury by trying to kill it.

She sat there, back against the tire and out of sight for a long moment, contemplating her next action. This wasn't like the movies, not like the movies at all!  The runners were terrifying in themselves but the shamblers had a certain...fearfull quality to them.

It was an un easy feeling watching something un natural shuffle along towards you, like a slow moving gollums. One that didn't die when it got injurred...

Xia tightens her grip on her bat. She would have been much more comfortable with a rifle in her paws but her friends, they didn't like guns in their house. The bat was the best weapon available...but would it be enough?

And then tbe badger came and killed the zombie for her, making Xia's interspection moot.

She couldn't believe it at first. People. Real people. Living people. She hadnt seen real living people since the johnsons across the street packed up their car and drove off, never to be seen again. Xia couldn't speak...she was too stunned. By the time she let out a weak, "H-hey..." to call oit to the badger he was already dissapearing into the building.

The coyotes ears shot up, then she smacked her fore head. "Idiot." Did the badger see her? If he did...why didn't he say something? Maybe he didn't care? Maybe he thought she was another zombie? Mahbe he was too focused on the zombie or maybe she was just out of sight, maybe...

Xia shook her head. She was wasting time. "Hey! Come back!" The coyote bounds, leaping over the hood and stumbling as she nearly falls face first onto the pavement. She begins running for the store, ignoring the zombies further down the street.

Forget food. She found people...

Kreed had indeed overlooked the coyote, having approached the vehicle from the opposite side. The zombie inside the car, however, he had merely pushed around, not really harmed.

"Hey! Come back!"

The badger turned slightly at the voice, which was uncomfortably close behind him, but he could not remove his eyes from the shambling corpses approaching in front of him. He took a few steps back, prompting another shrill Beeng-Boong from the electronic box above the door.

There was a scrabbling noise coming from a door at the back of the office, and as that second chime sounded the door finally flew open, a couple chairs that had been barricading the interior tumbling out. The fox that was inside came tumbling out in a frenzy of movement, but this was not panic. It was the early onset of the virus, the slavering creature already picking itself up and running wildly at the front door of the store.

"Shit." The badger said, his voice edging on fear as he simply took off running the way he had come with big bounding steps.

He had only made it a few feet, enough to see the coyote behind him, when the door sounded another chime.

Beeng-Boong!

Kreed turned with a blind swipe of his axe, his grip low on the handle to try and get as much reach as possible. The tip of the weapon took a chunk out of the manic vulpine's torso as it sprinted after him, but not nearly enough of one. The giant badger was not fast enough to move out of the way, so he simply dropped the axe and brought his hands around closing his giant paws around the creature's wrists as it reached for him, and wrenching it violently to the side. The zombie was lifted off of its feet entirely and sent skidding across the road, but the freakish thing sprung back up quicker than Kreed could make his way over to hopefully stomp the life back out of it.

Drago sat against the door of the sedan and watched the single body that was un-moving on the dusty road. The dead man lay on his back, not three feet beyond the  Drago, in a pool of blood that was almost dried and gave a sickly-sweet butchershop odor, that Drago had been all to familiar with. There was nothing else on the road, that was not including the countless amounts of spent ammo and filth that layed scattered everywhere. Drago grabbed the half-finished cigarette out of his mouth and extinguished the embers  against the cold steel of the machete in Drago's scaled hand. He placed the remains in the pocket  and got back to his feet, looking around.

'Beeng boong' thinking she knew it had to be a store... 'Wind, no it couldn't have been the Wind, it's too weak... It has to be someone' she gripped her crowbar tightly. 'Or something' zaida thought, she gave a slight snarl under her mask leaning close against wall as she shuffles her feet carefully, gravel scrapping under her boots as she grew closer to the corner. Her eyes focused where she was heading. Stopping and herBody going stiff her breathing was quite, but steady.
The hybrid listened hoping to get any clue, maybe she was just imagining things? Although it still made her cautious, at this point anything did. Zaida's eyes scanned the area her arms lowered but holding the pistol her fingers lightly on the trigger.

Pat heard the door brake down and almost screamed but managed to stifle it enough so the sounds of the panic would be more attracting. He tossed a few more bottles of water into her bag then pulled out a soda like she planned and placed that in her bag too. She didn't get a good look at it though so until she looks at it she doesn't know what it could be. She tossed her bag on her back and held he golf club in her hand with her shotgun in her other hand being held at the barrel.

After getting everything in order she quietly ran down the isle seeing the badger being attacked with the plump coyote further behind. She had two choices as she sees it right now. Go and help the two to escape or leave out the backdoor like she came in. She thought for a second then decided to say **censor** it she can't just run when people can still get help. Pat ran between the undead skillfully dodging between them and made it to the main doors. The by now annoying chime sounding again. She dropped the club and held the shotgun with both hands seeing the vulpine crash into the ground without remorse she fired the first blast at the infected as it was getting up. She then span on her heels and fired the seccond blast towards the shamblers behind her, knocking most of them over. now they needed to run or they won't be able to make it out alive. "Run!" Pat yelled as she scooped up her golf club and did just that, run, running until she was safe again.

Many things happened at once for the plump coyote. She had just reached the door when the badger appeared, practically throwing a fox at her. She let out a yelp then fell backwards onto her rump in panic. She was quickly on her feet again shouting loudly, "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" with her base ball bat raised high.

BLAM!

Again, Xia screamed as the shot gun goes off once, then twice. The yote never hears the shout to run. She is too busy spinning on her heel with her eyes closed and her baseball bat in full swing at the closest target behind her in pure reflex.

Unfortunetly that target is among the living...

Kreed turned just in time to see the bat coming at him, but not in time to do much about it. The blunted weapon came in with force, and the badger leaned back to absorb some of the blow, but it still caught him hard on the shoulder. Even with the badgers massive frame the bat still packed a punch. He grunted, feeling the impact threaten to break a bone or two in his shoulder.

Luckily the immediate threat had been dealt with, the vulpine zombie having only about half a face left. However the gunshot was sure to attract more attention than any of them could handle, and with one freshly turned runner around, there were bound to be more not too far off.

The badger shot the coyote a glare, but he grabbed her by the wrist anyway and pushed her towards the shotgun-wielding woman. He felt a pain in his shoulder and knew that blow had done some damage, but nothing so sharp as a broken bone... luckily. "Get out of here, girl." He growled, though to which one he was speaking would be difficult to discern. He took the time to gather his axe before following.

Pat just continued running at a normal pace heading to her safe haven. She didn't care if she brought the others to her place all that matters was that she was safe from the undead. She didn't say a word as she turned into a nearby alley.

Xia neqrly dropped her bat in pure shock, smashing a real living being in the shoulder like she did. She opened ber mouth, perhaps to appologize? To shout out how sorry she was?

No, she growled at the badger, "You daft fool what in the bleedin heck were you doing? Sneaking up on someone like that in the middle of the zombie invasion! You could have been killed!" She shouts as she is dragged along. Even as she finishes her rant her voice changes, becoming...excited almost. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN! I thought I was the only one left! I'm not dreaming, r-right? Cause I will be very cross if this is some halucination brought on by hunger. Say, you guys wouldn't have something to eat would you cause-"

The coyotetess casts a glance around her as she runs, peering at the zombies beging to take notice of their departure. There were not too many, not that Xia was a propper judge of how many was 'too many' but certainly more than themselves!

"Right sorry, sorry. Running for our lives. Shutting up now. Zipping it. Being quiet." The coyote ran in silence the rest of the way until she came into the alley. By then Xia was breathing hard. Pausing to lean forward, paws on her knees it took a while for Xia to catch her breath. "If nothing else the zombie invasion is good for exercise wot? Beats the instant weight loss program of being eaten alive, am I right!" Xia chuckles out loud to her own joke.

And then keeps talking.

"Hai! Im...I'm Xia by the way. Just incase any of us don't make it back to the safe house. You, you have a safe house right? Do we need to stop and pick up anyone else? Maybe a sniper on the roof tops or some kind of super cool ex military guy scouting out the place and...and...oh man I have a head ache.  You got food where we are going...right? Right?"

Dr.Zed wakes up in the little shack he found that is so far, zombie protected. He gets up to pop his back and looks at his medical bag as he slapped on his mask.."Well it's another day for slaughter of the wicked, and the healing of the mouth breathers." He chuckles as he gets his garb back on and lets the sun hit his tux, making it shine a bit.. So he tapped his masks beak to think of were is the best place to vist.

This was not only a diffacult part but, a fun part of his measy life. So without a secound thought, he went on his way to the city to find any life...dead, alive, or undead....

Leetonia stood at the end of a wide street, peering down at the few dead that shuffled mindlessly about along the deserted store fronts. She gripped her crowbar tight in hand, clutching onto her stomach as it rummbled and reminded her to get moving in search for food. Jogging forward, she approached the first infected, swinging her crowbar and connecting it to the side of its head to send it stumbling down to the ground. The fox quickly finished it off by crushing its skull before turning to face any others that were drawn to the commotion.  Only one other shambled toward her, letting out a raspy gurgly moan as she raised her crowbar to swing.

BANG!

The foxes ears shot up and she hesitated at the sound of the gunshot, very nearly getting mauled by the infected but managing to swing her weapon just in time and jam the flat blade end into the deads eye socket. Breathing heavily, and her stomach rummbling more now, the vixen glanced up and watched the rest of the infected move down the street, no doubtedly heading towards the gunshot. A grin creased her lips as she followed behind them, replacing her crowbar back into her bag and swinging her shotgun off her shoulder. A gun shot ment survivors. And survivors ment food.

Pat just ran till the coyote's talking making her get worried. When she said she was shutting up Pat sighed in relief but apparently it was too soon. when she introduced herself Pat quickly put a hand over Xia's mouth and pushed her to the wall pinning her against the wall. "Look Xia if you don't shut up the Zeds will. Got ot?" She said firmly but quietly not making her hand leave the coyote's mouth in fear she might speak again.

Kreed seemed oblivious to the coyote's rambling, rubbing his aching shoulder every so often as they moved along. Luckily it seemed that there weren't any recently turned around, no slavering ghouls harrying their steps. Just the usual mob of shamblers responding to the noise of the gunshot. They soon had them outpaced, and the female leading their little trio ducked silently into an alley, followed not so silently by the coyote.

Kreed spotted a corpse at laying in the gutter and paused to wipe off the blade of his axe carefully on the dead man's shirt. It would be silly if he died from nicking himself with his own weapon and getting infected.... very silly. He had seen it happen, though. That's why most people avoided the close quarters combat, even though ammo was scarce.

"Kreed." He replied to the coyote, eyeing the husky as she clamped a paw over her mouth, giving a slight nod of approval. He swung his pack around and set it on the ground, digging out a can of food and handing it t the girl... whom he assumed was starving by the way she was talking. "I hate carrots anyway..." He said in a low voice, and indeed the faded label had several orange discs proudly displayed on the front.

His eyes shifted to the husky, and to her gun, but he made no move to take it. He simply stood there holding his axe, like some monolithic statue.

Xia at first continued to make a series of muffled yelps, no doubt in protest to being yote handled in such a way. After a moment her whines fall silent and she nods once. Moving the huskies paw away she turns to both creatures one at a time. "Sorry. Sorry. I'm so sorry its...its..." she takes the can but instead of digging into it she hesitates, tears are rolling down her eyes. "You are the first people I have seen in, in weeks. I saw those th-thi-things /eat/ people, right in the street a-an-and then they got /up/ again and and I thought I was all alone with only..." Xia leaned forward with out warning, trying to half hug the husky, half collapse against her.

Xia's knees buckle and she very nearly falls to her rump.

Dr.Zed was having the time of his life, why most people saw the zeds as a losing battle. He saw this as heaven on earth. Think about it, he can kill all the zeds he wants. Heal the sick, look like a hero. And most of all, he wont have to pay any taxes. He made a little wistle, which was muffed by his bird mask. Good thing for him, since most of the time they don't hear him. Funny thing was that, he was always into zombie stuff. And now he has to put that knowledge to use..

So as he fumbled around the city or in search of food, and no not canned but seeds. Since why look for food when you can grow it? This was a good point, but he wasn't the best farmer. So he'll have to pick the city like a rat. Now he tought he heard a gun shot in the distance, so he shrugged and walked to that path. Hoping he finds someone in need and maybe kill the dreaded undead which he loves to toy with....

Leetonia crouched down behind a bench as she reached the street, peering over the top to look over the scene before her. More of the infected were massing in the streets in front of a store, but they didnt seem agitated or agressive. This caused a heavy sigh from the vixen because it ment whoever fired the shot got away. Clutching her stomach once more she slowly got up, about to try and sneak away from the mass of dead when a sound caught her ear. It was... voices? Yes, coming from an ally across the street. Crouching down, she quickly moved across the road, flattening her back against a building and peering into the allyway, spotting three people. "It is my lucky day after all." She mummbled to herself, readying her gun. With a grin she stepped into the ally, leveling the shotgun at the three, making sure to keep a good distance between her and them. "Freeze." She growled. "It would be wise not to make any sudden movements unless you want to end up dead."

Pat would have tried to reassure Xia if the random fox didn't show up. Instead she just sat there looking angrily at Xia dispite her emotional predicament. Great she was getting robbed now. "Look just **censor** off we got nothing anyway." She said as she planned what to do next in her head. there was a dumpster across from where she was so if things did go sour she could jump behind the dumpster and reload ready to return fire but she didn't know what would happen to Xia and Kreed. Man if she was just by herself this would be much easier to deal with.

Dr.Zed had finally came to the rough area he was in were he heard the gun shot. He could smell the rotten flesh of a zed and what looked like a group being robbed..He didn't want a part of this, but something about it all just seemed too good. So he slowly walked to them and waved. Since he didn't fear death. He only feared of becoming one of them.

But he begin running his mouth.."Hello fonda's! Ahh isn't today wonderful? The sounds of zombie moans and the feeling of having a pulse. Oh dear, looks like I have gotten into a mess..Well by all means allow me to leave since I can tell this isn't my problem since no one is hurt..Yet." He chuckled as sweat was forming on his forhead, knowing what he was doing was quite dangerous. However he knew that every friendship begins with a gun pionted at you and a lot of cusing...

Kreed's eyes shifted around the alleyway slowly as the situation unfolded, but he did not find anything of use. So, quite characteristically, he simply stood there and watched as first the vixen then the strange fellow with the mask appeared. He didn't have a firearm, so just the simple act of having a gun aimed at him rendered him virtually helpless in this scenario. He was a big target, he wasn't going to be able to duck out of the way quickly enough.

The masked man was rambling, but through the mask he couldn't hear a word of it. The fellow was quite obviously insane to begin with, though, what with walking in on this situation willingly, so the badger was not terribly concerned with what he was saying.

"If you fire that gun we all die." he stated simply, the long-handled axe still held loosely in one paw, the head of the weapon resting on the pavement. He figured he didn't need to add that without the gun the vixen wouldn't stand a chance against all three of them.

"Everyone shut the **censor** up!" Alexa hissed, slighlty raising her voice but not loud enough for the horde to hear. She turned an annoyed glance to Zed, looking him over and deeming him a non threat, for now. "You, get your ass in there with the rest of them." She didnt point the shotgun at him, but she was ready to if he tried to run. Her ears twitched slightly at the sound of the dead just further down the street, hoping she could get this done and over with before the infected spotted them. "As for the rest of you." She said looking back at the allyway. "I want any weapons you have down on the floor and I want it done nice and slowly. Like you said, if I shoot we are all dead, so dont give me a reason to pull the trigger."

Zed saw that this might take a darker turn so, he does what he loves to do.."Ok fonda, but I must ask. Whats the piont of this? Robbing a doc, and some surviours. In fact I belive that you will get, what? A days worth of food? Plus that gun has it's safety on. Also you would be wasteing a rpund or two, on some lively people." He shrugs and walks over to the group and sets a sharpen kitchen knife on the ground and puts his arms behnd his back.

So he watched the gun weilding nut with a grin under the mask. For he knew that she was scared, for she could kill most of them in one shot, but reloading would take a few secounds so if he just got one cut... Ohhh hell would be on her...

Xia had, amazingly, stayed quite this whole time even after the man in the mask appeared. She had though he was with the fox at first, but it quickly became appearent this was not the case. It wasn't surprising really that a zombie invasion brought out the weird people, or rather the weird /in/ people.

But she couldn't worry about that right now.

She was about to be robbed.

"Are you serious? Two weeks into the end of the world and we are already breaking out the crazy masks and preying on each other like wild animals? What's next? Joy riding around town in crazy 80 leather biker outfits and tribal gear? You know what, fine! All I have is a bat and this cann of carrots. Fine! Take it! Take it all!"

The fat coyote tosses the can towards the fox in an act of anger...perhaps...it was not the best idea...

#feel free to decide if the can hits and sparks glorious CHAOS! Or have it travel two feet and pathetically bounce across the ground. I can dig both.

In Xia's fit of rage the can went wide flying out of the alley and banging up against a dormant car. Or should I say once dormant car letting out a loud ding as it's car alarm went off. Effectively being a dinner bell to all the surrounding undead.

Pat panicked when the alarm went off that definitely is a good reason for running. She quickly darted down the alley they were in and tried to get out on the other side but there were already a reasonable amount of them coming out of the nearby buildings some of theme were falling from windows too. They needed to get off the streets now or everyone is going to die.

"WILL EVERYONE SHUT THEIR **censor** MOU..." Leetonia began to yell, but stopped as the can was hurled toward her. The vixen ducked just in time, feeling it wiz by her head and hit something behind her, emitting a loud "clang". Immediately after the cars alarm went off, not giving her much time to cuss out the coyote. "You stupid bitch!" She yelled above the noise, quickly looking around the street and watching the dead mass begin to move towards her, one group coming from the store and another making their way down the road from where she came from. She had to get out of here, a few cans of food was not worth dying for.

Seeing the ally as the only clear way, Alexa pivoted and backed into it, hoping the survivors behind her didnt stab her in the back. "Back the **censor** up! Back the **censor** up!" She called to the people in the ally, firing a slug into the first zombie that reached the ally enterance, exploding its head into rain of blood and gore.

When the car alarm started going off, Kreed looked past the vixen as the sudden horde of undead flooding into the alleyway. He first instinct was to take a swing at the shotgun-wielding bandit... but at the moment she might be the only one with enough bullets to slow down the undead. Still, a hostile with a firearm was infinitely more dangerous than the undead, no matter how many. Which is why he took a few precious seconds to step forward and place the blunt end of his axe against the vixen's back, just enough for her to feel it.

"Remember this later." He commented, letting just a hint of malice seep into his voice before he removed the weapon. He turned back and moved towards the dumpster that Pat had been looking at earlier, pressing his full weight into it and causing it to grind in protest as it was pushed across the pavement, slowly sliding away from the wall. The giant badger tried to turn it so that it would stem the flow of the undead, the metal container slowly creaking forward.

"Little help!" He called out, for while it may make an effective barricade, it was also almost too heavy for him to move, and the undead would be upon them before it was in place. Even if he could move it in time, that only stemmed one side of the alleyway. They needed an escape route.

Xia's eye twitched at the damage she caused. No, no, no...this was all wrong. This wasn't how it was supposed to go! Less than an hour out of hiding and she had already doomed four ogher souls to a fate arguably worse than death.

Well that's got to be a new record.

At the very least she could help pusb the dumbster into place. Try as she might to help push the fat coyote was just no match in strength. She yelps as a undead claw tries to grab her from around the corner of the dumbster. With a swing of her bat she breaks the beasts paw with a loud crack.

Stapping back the coyote readies her bat for any more zombies that may get past tbe dumbster. This was all her fault, she thought, if she had just given the fox the stupid bleeding can...

She had to make this right, but how?

Xia peers over her shoulder to the other side of the alley. How far would she get, dashing into the horde and leading them away? Probibly ten feet before they swarmed her. At best she would provide five minutes of a distraction as the horde consumed her. And as...meaty as Xia was, that was probbibly NOT a pleasent way to go...

The coyote was however too afraid for such heroics. "Someone find a fire escape or...or a door!" The yote readies her bat for a heavy swing, "I'll hold this end...I hope..."

Dr.Zed wasn't suprised how fast the maddness has grown...But then again..this will help in in the long run. Dor now it's a good time to be their saver, their hope, their light in the dark. So he yells at the top of his lungs to get the zeds attetion. As he waved his arms. He knew that zeds love noise and loners.

So after he makes a seen he quickly jogs down the street away from the horde that might have seen this tasty soul. For his body was being pumped with excitment and fear. For running away from his problems is what he has done all in his life. He only hopes that they never catch him...

Pat clenched her teeth hearing the dumpster scrape against the ground. She quickly reloaded letting the shells pop out and scatter across the ground and she placed two more buckshot shells into her hunting shotgun. She fired a shot into the horde that amassed on her side, not really trying to kill them, just knock them back by blasting the nearest zed into its competition knocking most of the nearby ones down.

She then herd one of the new comers get the attention of the horde on the opposite side. Quickly she grabbed her shotgun by the barrel and held her golf club with her right hand. She needed to keep this side back until the other side was clear. She used the full range of her golf club smashing any undead that got too close for comfort. Knocking them back or down. She wouldn't be able to keep them back for long hopefully her apparent allies would call her when it was clear enough to run.

Alexa began to back up as the herd funneled into the allyway, letting out a small yip as she hit Kreeds axe. A shiver went down her spine as he spoke, knowing full well it would only take one good shove from the big badger and she would be zombie food.

Man, karma is a bitch.

She got back to the task at hand though, firing off another two shots as she moved around the dumpster as it was pushed in place, the undead wave hitting into shortly after but seeming to stop there. Rotten limbs reached over the dumpster towards them but the infected didnt seem to have the ability to climb over it, but the fox didnt know how long that would last, and frankly, she didnt want to find out. "This is a really **censor** BAD  area to get caught in." She said, turning to see that the other end too was blocked. But the ramblings the panicing coyote gave her an idea, and as the fox looked up she found Xias words to be true. "Hey! Hey! Fire escape!" She yelled, pointing up to a platform with a raised ladder hanging down. Quickly moving over to Pat, she grabbed the husky and pushed her into Kreed, motioning for the badger to look up. "Lift her up to try and reach that ladder."

Not waiting for him to respond, Alexa turned away, taking Pats spot in beating back the walkers.

Xia cringes as the zombies push against the obstical that prevents them from devouring their tasty meal. "Get back!" She shout, striking a zombie hard in the head that was trying to get around the dumbster. It takea a second swing to finish it.

"W-we can do this! We can do this! Five of us can hold them off until we can escape!"  The yote does a quick head count. "Wait...where did the lizard go?" Did he get eaten? The coyote feels sick she got someone killed...didn't she?  No time to worry about that now but worry she does. With two of their members working on securing an escape rout, and their newly aquired fox holding off the other side of the alley Xia is left alone to fend off the undead piling up on the other end of the dumpster.

It squeaks as it begins to move. "Hurry it up!" She practically shrieks. The dumpster his a box of trash and begins to tilt at an angle, allowing a zombie to squeeze itself through the ever widening gab between the dumpster and the alley wall.

The sight of a horribly mauled undead wolf charging Xia makes her yelp in fright, it also makes her hit the zombie hard enough to kill it in one blow. As the zombie falls a second tries to take its place. Thankfully the cheetah was a hefty and portly beast in life before the zombies got him. It becomes wedged between the dumpster, allowing Xia to strike it down.

Her arms were getting tired...

Kreed was searching the ground for anything flammable when he felt the husky bumjp into him, he looked up quickly, then followed the vixens motion up towards the fire escape. He wouldn't be able to climb up there, not without some serious assistance, but if the stairs could be lowered it was probably their best bet. He didn't wait for permission or even for the husky to orient herself after being pushed, merely scooped her up in both hands and set her up on his shoulder, before offering an arm to help her climb up. Optimally he could have tossed someone, but while he was strong he wasn't THAT strong.

He free hand held his axe, and it swayed anxiously in his paw as he stared at the slowly shifting dumpster and the open alleyway towards the other direction. Despite the madman running through the crowd it had not thinned the herd for long. Kreed assumed the man was dead, not that it was much of a loss. It was times like this he really wished he had found a pistol in the last two weeks.

Pat was surprised by everything from the shove to being picked up. It took her a second to realize what was going on when everything stopped seeing the fire escape just above her. She quickly stuck her shotgun and golf club between her and the bag and reached for the fire escape thinking she could reach it. But sadly she would need the badger's help for this one. She took the offered hand and pushed herself up grabbing the side on the opening of the stairwell. She pulled herself up a bit and then pushed herself the rest of the way up using her foot on Kreed's hand. Now how do you get this thing down. If she remembers correctly she had to pull a pin the it would simply fall away. She found said pin and gave it a tug, it didn't move, so she pushed it instead still nothing. She quickly got a closer look and noticed the pin was rusted in pretty well so she reported her findings. "Give me a seccond the pin is rusted!" She yelled over the moaning horde.

After that she stood and started stomping on the pin to beak it free. It would take several good stomps till the pin would break free. Let's hope that they can hold them off till then.

Swoosh /CRACK/ Swoosh /CRACK/

Xia's arms were on fire. She was panting furriously from the work out she was getting, swinging the bat with semi efficient proficiency. The horde continued to push the dumpster into an awkward angle, widening the gap that allowed them to come through. Ironically the horde was the only thing keeping the party from being over run.

As zombies poured into the alley they bottlenecked, becoming wedged as they fought each other to get to their prey. The bodies of the slain zombies also helped, forcing them to climb over their fallen brethren.

Xia passed a quick glance upward, "Any day now would be nice. I ain't exactly doing this for my health..." Oh how would it just SUCK to die of a heart attack after surviving this. "Jogging. I lived right next to a park. I could have-" Swoosh /CRACK/ "Gone jogging. Or hit the gym! I lived ten friggin minutes from the gym! I could have-" Swoosh /CCRACK/ "I could have jogged to the gym! A carrier in tech support. I would give it all back for three extra hours of exercise!"

Swoosh /SNAP!/

"Uh...guys? Problem." Xia chuckles nervously stairing down at her broken bat. "Big problem!"

After the husky had safely moved from his shoulder, Kreed moved quickly over to the dumpster. Not slowing down, he lowered his shoulder and rammed the container back into place just as Xia's bat broke. The couple zombies trying to squeeze through were pressed up into the wall, rotting flesh leaving a nice brown smear across the bricks as they were sandwiched. The dumpster made no headway back into the horde behind it, but at least it limited their ability to get through, even if it was still threatening to tip over. He didn't pause to think or check his handiwork, knowing that the other side of the ally was the more pressing concern.

He met the oncoming zombies with a heavy overhead swing, stepping up beside the vixen who was already there. The first zed that he hit went down in a heap, head split clean open. He kicked its falling corpse backwards into the legs of those shambling behind it, causing a few to trip and fall over. They couldn't kill this many, that was for certain. He doubted anyone here had enough bullets to even last for a few minutes, much less take down a horde of this size. He spent a few seconds chopping on the downed zombies to make sure they didnt bite anyone's ankles, but was soon forced to take a step back as more stumbled over the corpses.

Suddenly remembering something he stepped back again, eyeing the scenario before digging into his bag, producing a small blue canister. "Here, husky girl." He called up, tossing the can up in her direction. He hoisted his axe again as the can of WD40 was still sailing through the air. "Don't use it all, that shit is handy." He added, though he was already back to taking swings at the undead. Unlike Xia it may be a moment before Kreed tired out, but he would tire out sooner rather than later. Axes were not the easiest weapon to swing.

Alexa had already shouldered her shotgun and was now using her crowbar to beat back the dead, lunging forward quickly to crack a skull before hopping back and forward again. She was nearly grabbed multiple times, and to make things worse she found herself a few steps back everytime. She was loosing to much ground for her to hold them by herself. But right as she was about to step forward again Kreed joined her, a wave of relief washing through the vixen as she kicked out, planting a boot in rotten flesh and sending it backwards in the pack. It knocked a few down behind it and, along with Kreed knocking a few down on his side of the horde, it stopped their advancement. But it would only last a moment. "Hurry up! Hurry up! We cant hold them forever!"

Pat heard the call and looked up seeing Kreed tosses the blue can. As she attempted to catch it but bounced of the palm of her hand causing her to frantically attempt to catch it so it wouldn't fall down the stairwell. After a few seconds of her frantic juggling she caught in both hands. Taking a instinctive sigh of relief she popped tge lid off and sprayed the pin with a healthy dose of the magical lubricant. She let it sit for a second then continued to stomp the pin.

This time she could feel a bit of a difference, which was good if her shoe didn't slip off from time to time. After another four solid stomps the pin broke way but didn't go right through which confused her the pin wasn't in the way so the ladder should fall free right? She quickly ran to the other end of the ladder and gave it a push, but it didn't move right away. She gave it a shake then the ladder gave way loudly as it slammed down on it's rails with the fait sound of that cursed pin hitting the ground. "Go hurry! The ladder is down!" She yelled after the loud clatter.

Dr.Zed decided to for get the delis and went to the hoard closing in on the poor souls.."Think Doc THINK!?" Then suddenly a bolt of lighting just hit his head and an idea ameged like a gyser... He forgot that Thier is more flesh on in the ally, so the zeds won't even see him or really notice....unless their was an even bigger meat pile or noise....Thats right the car first started the whole mess, and might be their way out..

So shuffling like the dead..Hoping it might make him seem more zombie like. So when he somehow sneaks past the distracted hoard he sees that the keys are no where to be found..So once more he trys something crazy..Since you only live once..

So he takes his knife and trys to break the glass by smashing it into the window, since even if this doesn't break then it would be sure to make a loud noise. Plus if the keys are in the car, and has gas. Then he can really make noise...then again it was a long shot, but might just be worth it...

Little did the coyote know that the young Doctor was about to make a distraction to save them. Or possibly further doom them. At this point did it matter if Xia was eaten by a hundred zombies or a thousand? Howmany zombies were actually here in the horde? Dozens? Hundreds?

Their moans fill the air, echoing off of the small confines of the alley.

Oh why didn't she just stay inside and starve to death? Surely that was a better way to go then being devoured by a mass of cannibals. After a moments thought Xia concludes that being eaten alive is probibly less painfull that starving to death, if only in the sense that it would be over quickly.

She hoped...

Then the tell tell sound of the ladder droping makes the Coyote yelp, leaping out of the way before it crashes on her head. "Our ride is here! Everyone uptop!"

Xia takes one last look at her broken bat before tossing it at a zombie. The zombie doesn't even flinch as it bounces off of its fore head. "Bye baty..." Xia was no longer any use to the party down below. The best thing she could do was get her extra fluffy tail up and out of the way.

The coyote climbs the ladder, pulling herself over and clutching deeply at her chest as she regains her composure and breath. The first thing she does is give the husky a quick hug for saving her life before going back to the ladder to offer a helping hand to the next person to climb up.

Assuming they are not all eaten by zombies by now...

Kreed began backing up towards the ladder, looking over his shoulder to see the coyote scrambling up it. His gaze quickly shifted to the gap she had been covering, already  one zombie having pushed its way through and was shambling towards them. An undead hand grabbed at his axe and he yanked it away,  swinging another heavy chop forward with a growl, cutting down a pair of zombies that had gotten too close. He reached over and pushed the vixen back behind him. "Go first." He said, almost grudgingly.

Right about then the dumpster finally gave way, tipping over and spilling trash into the alleyway, and with the loss of weight it began to shift around much more freely. The badger looked from one side to the other quickly and just grabbed the fox. "**censor** it, we'll go together." He shouted. He pushed her up against the side of the ladder closest to the building, using the fire-axe to cut down the nearest couple zeds before he began to climb up his side of the ladder, using the rungs as hand and foot-holds but hanging off of one side so that the vixen could climb up on her end. They just needed to get far enough off the ground that the zombies couldn't reach them, they could sort the rest out after.

It was right about then that he heard the distinctive sound of an engine turning over and he looked out over the heads of the zombies, shaking his head as he saw that psycho still alive out there, trying to start a car.

Alexa yipped as she was suddenly grabbed, watching the dead crawl over the dumpster out the corner of her eye as the badger pushed her to the ladder. She didnt have to be told twice. Quickly grabbing onto the rungs, she started up it, utilizing the little amount of space their was between her and the badger. She could feel undead hands grabbing at her boots, pulling on them to try and drag her down into their grasps, but only succeeding in getting their faces smashed by her heel. After freeing her legs, the fox started the rest of the way up, clinging onto one side of the ladder until she reached the top and climbed over the railing, toppling  onto the platform. The vixen took a moment to breath before slowly getying up, realization dawning on her. She had just tried to rob these people, so sticking around much longer wasnt going to be a good idea. And since they were still helping the badger this would be a good time to run. Composing herself, Leetonia slowly peered up the rest of the fire escape to the roof, plotting her course of action, before suddenly shoving Pat aside and dashing up the steps. She quickly made it to the roof and ran to the edge, stopping as she realized she had no where to go. The closest building to them was a story down, and the jump would certainly break her legs. "Shit!" She hissed, looking back towards the fire escape as she thought of what to do.

Pat grinned when everyone else was up. She did it she managed to save everyone and that actually felt pretty good! But her joy was cut short when the vixen pushed her aside to try and run away almost falling over the rail if one of her flailing arms didn't grab onto the stairs for the next level. Once she realized she wasn't going over she yelled up the fire escape seeing the fox dissapear over the edge of the roof. "You bitch! I save you and you try to **censor** kill me!" As she spoke she started charging up the stairs in pursuit. She still had a shot in her shotgun if it really came down to it.

Leetonia could here Pat racing up the steps behind her, the fox was truly starting to panic now. Thanks to the fat coyote she had lost the element of surprise, and now her once victims could use their guns. Taking her shotgun off her shoulder, the vixen quickly dobe behind an air conditioning unit, only peeking one ear over the top of it so she could hear. "Stay back bitch!" She yelled, gripping her weapon tight in her paws.

Kreed had to struggle to get up the ladder with the horde of zombies grabbing at his legs. Luckily that was all they were doing as he was out of reach of their gnashing teeth. He saw the vixen scale up ahead of him, and spent a few moments kicking himself free of the grasping undead hands. This was precisely why he wore a pair of baggy jeans, the fabric tough enough to prevent the myriad of scratches he would have otherwise received.

Suddenly a paw reached down and grabbed his own, helping him lift himself above the throng of undead. As he finally pulled himself up onto the fire escape he heaved a sigh, dropping his bag down onto the steel grate for a moment as he caught his breath. "Pesky bastards." He grumbled, looking up at the husky went racing up the stairs. Confused, he looked around and noticed that the vixen was already missing. His eyes met the coyotes and he offered a rare smile to the girl before standing up. "I assume she ran off?" He asked, jerking a thumb up towards the roof.

Xia leans heavily against the railing. She breaths heavily, staring down at the zombies of various species and shapes as they stare back, howling, groaning, snapping their jaws and in some rare cases even beaks at the air.

"Yeah. Can't imagine why." Xia smiles. She stands up dusting herself off.  "She may be a crazy desperate bandit but she has the right idea. I don't know if zeds can climb ladders, but they will eventually spill into this building and block our escape. We need to keep moving..." the coyote turns to the noise down the street. The zombies below stir, almost like changing tides in a river. Some moving to the car, some still groping for the living who escaped them.

"Well...looks like the zombies didn't get him after all...we should get going..." Xia says again, "We are going to have the qhole city down on us at this rate..."

Both of them would be awnsered how severe it was when Pat yelled some more as she got onto the roof. "I'm going to make you wish you didn't **censor** with us!" What pat was hoping though is that the vixen would surrender. She was outnumbered and had a very scary big guy against her and she was cornered. Now unless she was stupid too this was probably going to get ugly.

Once on the roof she slid behind a brick chimney and yelled as she reloaded her shotgun. "Kreed is coming up! You better play nice or he'll gut you on the spot!" she at least hoped that the fox would give up for now. At least till they were out of danger completely.

________________

As for Dr. Zed. Maybe driving a loud car till it was out of gas was a bad idea. The noise from the car alerted the horde in his vicinity making walking through the streets probably the worst idea right now. There was already undead dotted on the street and more were coming out of nearby buildings. And not to mention the undead that populated the street behind him. He was basically cornered and because he broke the window on the car there was no way he could use that to hide from them.

Leetonia growled as Pat yelled back at her, sending out threats. The vixen had really stuck her foot in the hornets nest this time, and for once in a long while she was actually scared she wouldnt win this one, but she couldnt show it or it would be the end of her. "And whos going to make me pay hmm? The badger? You? I faced tougher bitches in prison!" Quickly peeking above the AC unit, Alexa fired a shot at the roof bear the chimny, hoping to discourage the husky from coming out of cover. "This is a dog eat dog world, and if I have to rob a couple of poor bastards to put some food in my stomach then Im going to!" She telled, rising up again to shoot again. But something went wrong this time. The next shell had not loaded propely, the round cocked into the barrel wrong and jammed the firing mechanism, a distinct "click" coming from the shotgun as the pin hit nothing.

The Doctor had cursed a bit knowing that his rational side was trying to take over, but fear was keeping both sides at bay...So now he was only thinking of now and more so...the thought oh being a zed.. "Greaaatt...." He growled as he got out of the car..

He saw that basically, he was dead...he knew and let a tear flow under his mask...He took his syringe and was going to press it in his arm, but something spoke to him.."Dr.Zed...I thought you were a zed hunter.." The voice inside his head spoke.. "I am!... But it's hopeless!" He shouted.."Is it?...think...." Then the voice was gone and he put the syringe back into his bag...

Now his pushed his fears aside since survival was on top..Now he understood that he was for the most part, surrounded...but the zeds can only come from so many ways..So he held his kitchen knife and made his move to a building with a step ladder next to it..but of course a few zeds were blocking the way.. So he tried to take his first swing but it got stuck..so he just left it in their and shoved the zed out the way..

He got to the step ladder and procceeded to climb, however one of the zeds clawed his leg, making a claw mark...He yells in pain as he barely gets on the roof and rolls up his pant leg and then freaks out....."No.....no..."

"No gutting!" Xia appears on the scene shortly. She tries to step between around the husky, if a bit foolishly, in a vain attempt to prevent fore said disembowlment of foxy bandits. "No one is gutting no one!" The yote say loudly.

"Look. We don't have time for this. None of us do. Zombies are going to over run this building in minutes and we wont escape if we are all arguing about who tried to rob who, which by the way was a real jerk move miss." The coyote scolds the fox before turning again to pat. "Please...she is just scared, and hungry and desperate. Just like the rest of us. /Please/ just...let it.../go/. We can just leave no and if the fox follows us fine, if jot she can go her own way and get eaten. Just please...we need to /go/."

There is desperation in Xia's voice, more so when she hears the gun up top dry fire and jam. She doesn't want to see more people die. Even if they tried to rob her.

She doesn't even know what happened to that poor strange lizard, who's cries of pain and terror are barely audible over the sound of the groaning horde. She thinks her ears can pick up the sound of someone yelling "No!" in the distance around the corner.

Kreed rubbed his axe blade off of the back of his glove, blood smearing across the leather. "It would be more of a hacking..." He corrected when the coyote spoke up. He made his way slowly up the fire escape, though it was more to distance himself from the zombies than to try and assault the vixen on the roof. She had a gun, he had an axe, and there was a considerable gap between where she was likely hiding and the edge of the roof he was on. The coyote was right, even if it was for the wrong reasons. Kreed couldnt safely get to her, and none of them could afford to take a bullet, an injury in this scenario would be fatal... sooner or later.

The sound of glass breaking would rise over the din of the slavering ghouls below, Kreed having stopped near the upper floors to smash open a window to one side of the fire escape. He paused, waiting for a reaction from inside, then leaned over to try and get a look at the interior. "Leave her." He grumbled, his voice like gravel being crushed in his chest. Personally he thought he might enjoy tossing the vixen off the roof, irritated that he had risked himself to save somebody who turned out to be so problematic. He wasn't going to make that mistake again. "We need to find an exit."

With a careful movement he hooked the window sill with his axe and slid over to the other side of the railing, reaching over and taking hold of the opening. He ahd cleared it to the best of his ability, but he could still feel glass shards trying to dig through his gloves. The room he entered was dark, but it was quite obviously a bathroom even in the gloom. The door was closed, and he heard nothing coming from the other room.

Pat sighed after Xia's reasoning. She was actually right about the time constraint. if they didn't hurry the infected just at the foot of the building would disperse and she would be stuck with the bandit till it was clear to go. not wanting to face the fox so she wouldn't blast her willingly, she simply walked from her cover to the ladder and went down to where Kreed made his entrance. She didn't look around assuming Kreed did so and quickly used her rifle to knock of some of the more dangerous bits of glass out of the frame hopping in after. the faster she gets away from the fox the better is all she could think of in her mind.

Leetonia swore as the gun jammed, quickly dropping down behind the AC unit and pulling back the action. Her ears stood straight up as she hears the coyote begin to talk; reaching into the chamber to grip her fingers around the shell and wiggle it. After a few good pulls the slug unlodged from the barrel, the action sliding forward and loading in the next round. She didnt peek back up though, instead listening to the rest of Xias words.

Damn it, she was right. Staying up on this roof would get her killed, and even though she hated to admit it, Alexa would need the others to survive, which ment swallowing her pride and playing nice. But if the others could look past the fact she tried to rob them, so could she, even if she didnt like it. "**censor** **censor** **censor**!" She growled to herself, making her decision.

The vixen peered up above to watch the husky leave the roof before turning back to her gun, loading un the shell she took out, two shells from her vest, and two from the shotgun strap, making the gun fully loaded. But she didnt sit up and take aim again. Instead, she swung the shotgun over her shoulder and stood up, raising her hands a little as she stepped from cover and slowly made her way over to the coyote.

"This... this dosent mean anything." The fox mumbled, lowering her hands and crossing her arms, turning her gaze away from Xia and looking anywhere that wasnt at the coyote. "But, youre right. Ill give up."

Xia didnt respond to the fox as she brushed past her. She was in shock. She said things...with words even...and people listened to her. People never listen to her! And she probibly saved a life ! New friends, food and she rescued a fox from certain arguably justified death! Happy day indeed!

She couldn't save the lizard, saddly. He was probibly out there, laying in a ditch with the horde feasting upon his lizardy entrails. The thought was enough to dampen her renewed spirits, especially when she condsidered how it was partially her fault for him being eaten.

No time for her to worry about that now though.

Stepping into the room, avoiding the glass of the broken window Xia calls, "If you see a weapon I call dibs. I uh...ran out of bat back there. And I think Ill be a little more usefull if armed." Rubbing her arm she adds, "If we need a direction I...I know of a house south of here. Its small. Not very well baricaded and has no supplies but if we need a place to hide...unless yall know of some other place to hide out. That's cool...I guess."

Kreed looked over his shoulder as the others filtered into the tiny bathroom, cautiously opening the door just before Xia managed to get herself through the window.

"Dibs, then." He conceded in a low voice as he looked around the dark interior beyond the portal. His eyes adjusted after a short few seconds and he stepped through the door into the living room of the apartment. Blankets and clothes were scattered about the room, dusty and unused for some time. It looked like the residents had left in a hurry, but at least had the forethought to lock the door behind them. Either that or nobody thought this place was a good idea to hide out in.... the latter thought made the badger eye the door at the far side of the room with some trepidation.

He looked over his shoulder and gave a nod. "Check the closets." he said evenly before moving across the room at an even pace and checking the peephole after a quick glance to either side of the door. The hallway outside was lit by some faint sunlight streaming through a window somewhere, and looked empty.... for now.

Pat heard Xia call dibs on the next weapon and thought. After a quick seccond of debate she handed her golf club to Xia handle first and said. "You can borrow this in the meantime. But i'll need you to stick with me while we look around. Sounds fair?" the golf club's shaft was bent in several ways because the amount of hitting she has done with it. It probably won't last too long at this rate.

Alexa looked down at the infected below uneasily, not hearing a reply from Xia. She turned back and watched the coyote disappear through the window before, hesitantly, following suit. The glass on the floor crunched under her boots as she landed in the apartment, readjusting her dufflebag and pulling off her shotgun as she stared at the others ahead of her, trying to stay as silent as she could to avoid confrontation, especially with the badger. For now, she would just play along.

The coyote gives a disaproving look to the offered gold club. A bent one no less. She can just imagine herself clubbing a zombie over the head repeatedly with no effect. "Well at least I can /Tee/ them off." The coyote snorks in laughter. "You get it right? Right. Anyway. Closets"

Stumbling about the room in a state of half panic half adrenoline rusb the coyote finds a bedroom closet. "The one time you hope to meet a crazy gun enthusiast. The. One time. Come on mack...I'll take the pasty star treck nerd with the batleth at his point..." she says as she opens the dood.

Kreed groaned from across the room at the terrible pun, stepping away from the door. He made sure the thing was locked, then turned to the rest of the group and the apartment at large. "We could potentially fortify this room and wait them out. I've never seen their attention last for more than a few hours when there is no obvious signs of food..." He said, his voice quiet but carrying easily through the silence. "The alternative is hoping there is an exit or attempting to barricade the stairway. The last option gives us some ability to scout around for food and water, but of course... could be more dead fucks up in these rooms." The badger scratched at his head slowly and shrugged, his eyes then landing on the vixen standing near the back of the room. His gaze lingered a moment, then went to the window, quite clearly piecing together why she was standing in the room and not outside. After a moment, it seemed to click and he just grunted and moved back towards the kitchen area.

After a quick scan the giant male began to rummage through the cabinets, pulling out cans of food that had been left in the rush. WHomever lived here had obviously been oblivious to the whole 'world ending' scenario. They had packed clothes but not rations. He paused for a moment as he considered the fact that the previous owner of this apartment was probably out there chewing on some poor bastard's guts right now, all because they hadn't known what to pack.

(Well I'm back! Sorta...

I think i have my schedule down for now so I'll continue RPing until something arises.)

Pat gave a blank glare to the horrible pun that the coyote said and started walking around to make sure everything was clear. She heard Kreed's proposal and thought. Stuck it a small room with the person that nearly killed her, plenty of times, either directly or indirectly. Or have some room from her, or get away from her. Well the last option was risky so at least some room would be nice.

As she opened the door to the bedroom she quietly gave her vote hoping she was loud enough for Kreed to hear. "I would at least want to clear the floor. Gives us some room incase something, or someone bad happens." She said ending with a sideways glance to the bathroom to see if the fox had left. After the glance she walked into the bedroom noting scattered clothes around the room. well at least it looked like no one or nothing besides them was in this apartment. but looking around wouldn't hurt. She first went to the bed and looked under it pointing the shotgun under the bed first before looking. Besides a couple porn magazines it was clear. Now the closet.

Leetonia listened silently from the back, staying at the edge of the bathroom until she felt multiple pairs of, less the friendly, eyes on her. Letting out a quiet sigh, the vixen walked past the others and to the door, looking through the peephole and into the hallway outside. "Barricaiding the stairway will make some noise, but I agree. We should close off this floor." Turning on the flashlight attachment on the end of her shotgun, the fox unlocked the door and stepped into the hallway, closing it behind her. If she didnt need anymore of a reason to get out of there, and the others seemed to have that room scavanged anyways.

The hallway outside was seemed erie and quiet. Multiple doors, numbering six in all, lined the walls to her left and right, with a stair way leading down at the end of them. Two of the doors hung open, and she only gave them a quick glance into before moving on, pointing her flashlight around the dark corridor to the other apartments. She was looking for another locked one, because that usually ment someone had something in there they wanted to keep safe, or they held up in there themselves, but either way it ment an increased chance of something valuable. The door she was looking for was the fifth one, the handle not yielding to her to her attenpts to turn it.

"Here we go." She mumbled to herself, taking a quick glance down the srairway to make sure the coast was clear before setting upon the door. Taking her crowbar out of her dufflebag, she wedged the bladed part between the lock and the frame, positioning it right to make as little noise as possible before giving the bar a few hard tugs and poping the door open. Her ears perked as she listened for a response inside the room before entering, shutting the door behind her.

"Closet looks empty." Xia replies shutting it behind her, brandishing a cowboy hat in paws. Placing the brown leather hat on her head she was only slightly dismayed that it was just slightly too small for her. It didn't stop the yote from wearing it though. "Just some clothes and a couple of board games. " moving back to the living room the yote replies again.

"It would not be any trouble locking down the stair well. Lot of these appartment buildings tend to have heavy fire doors for stair wells and cheap wood doors for appartments." Xia knocks on the door to the hallway to demonstrate her point. "Ill see what I can do to barricade them until we find a key to lock them down."

Truth be told Xia probibly could have simply done this with out announcing her plan but she felt compelled to do so. Hesitating a moment longer in an awkwardly silent way Xia moves out of the room, peering left then right. Where had that fox gotten too?

Xia was't sure why she wasnt as miffed at the fox for trying to rob them. Oh she was angry about it, no doubt there but just not as much appearently as the others, maybe the full scope of the situation didnt hit her yet, how if the fox did not shoot them dead then she would have still surely killed them by stealing their supplies in the middle of a zombie invasion.

Reguardless it probibly wasnt a good idea for the fox to be moving around by herself. Both for her own safety and the parties.

Scratching her head Xia moves down the hallway trying to figure out where their foxy friend-emy had gone...

After discarding the remains of the cabinets across the counter, including several bags of really stale chips and a couple boxes of cereal, Kreed stuffed what canned food he had found in his bag. Eight cans in all, three of which were soup and the rest of which were various vegetables. Not a bad haul, even split among their small group it could be rationed to keep them alive for several days. He tried the faucet, and while it leaked a little the water didn't run.

He tsked under his breath and moved away from the kitchen, inspecting the door of the main room and the husky rummaging through the bedroom off to one side. The other two had gone missing, presumably out into the hallway. He looked around the room slowly, assessing the furniture, then looking at his axe. He could certainly break the couch down into a serviceable barricade setup... with a little work and a lot of noise. First though, better go assess how much material they would need to shut themselves inside the place.

"Careful." Was all he said, before leaving the apartment and looking around the hallway, leaving Pat alone inside. He spotted the stairway entrance almost immediately, next to an elevator that was certainly not working. As Xia had suggested, it was a steel door, and would not require much to shore up against any undead trying to get in.

Pat continued to rummage through the room and didn't find anything of value besides a glock 11  pistol without ammunition. Well it was better than nothing, and she knows of a gun store not too far from here. But the odds that it hasn't been raided by now is probably high. With a sigh she placed the empty pistol in her bag and went to the living room to look around there too. The first drawer she opened she found a bundle of matches. That could be useful when the power cuts out, which thankfully it hadn't yet. After tossing that into her bag she wondered if she could find anything else that was useful.

Alexa kept her crowbar ready as she stepped into the kitchen of the apartment, looking over the ransacked remains of the cabinets. The fox let out a huff and turned to look elsewhere, walking over to a short hallway that had three doors. Perking her ears for any sound, she slowly approached the first door, gripping the handle tight and gently pushed it open. Inside was a dark and somewhat messy room, perhaps that of a teenager, the posters of heavy metal bands and girls in bikinis the walls only increasing her assumption. But with a layer of dust covering everything, it showed that no one had been in here for a long time, and any loot to be had was still here.

The fox laid her shotgun and duffle bag on the bed before going over to the dresser and opening it up, looking over the clothes inside. The vixen hadnt changed since she escaped the prison bus, and honestly, her clothes were pretty filthy with dried blood and dirt. Also, the bright orange of her prison garb not only made her more noticeable, but gave away immediately that she was a convict, which had more then once almost earned her a bullet from someone still rrying to play police officer. So even though these weren't womens clothes, they would have to do.

Unstrapping her kevlar vest, she tossed it and her dirty wife-beater onto the bed, digging into the draw to exchange it for a gray t -shirt. Closing the drawer she was in and opening the one below it, she grabbed a pair of boxers to replace her undergarments, and a pair of loose black cargo pants to replace her orange ones, changing into them and stuffing her old clothes into her duffle bag. She was about to close the draw when something metal caught her eye, moving a few articles of clothing and pulling out a metal lock box. "Oh? What do we have here?"

Xia moves quickly down the hallway until she catches herself.  The adrenoline was starting to finally drain from her body allowing her to be hit by the cull scope of the situation.

 She was never going home.

Or rather her friends home. The one she was house sitting for. Even if it wasnt her actual home it still provided shelter for her for over a week. On top of that she had survived her first true zombie encounter and had probbibly killed at least 3...possibly more... Xia wasnt sure how she felt about that. It wasnt a question of 'were zombies alive'. Xia was a nerd at heart, she knew zombies were just non living husks...if sci fi was to be believed.

No it was the fact that she killed them with little hesitation that bothered her. Xia spent her life being taught not to hurt other living (sentient) creatures. Zombies were still, vaugly, people ish looking. The only difference was the fact they were usually dirty and grungy and acted so beyond normal that allowed them to be classified as monsters.

But they still looked like people. Xia wonders if she were attacked by a  clean shaven zombie dressed in a suit and tie without any visible wounds, would she be able to kill it?

Such thoughts persited as Xia walks down the hall. She was feeling week from ber journey so far but resolved to survive, and failing that...help others survive.

She grabbed the door knob of an open door and threw it open wide.

Then she just stared.

The room across crom the appartment the fox had slipped into was a disorganized mess. It was rather dark with the blinds covering the windows but not dark enough to hide the body on the living room cloor.

A fellow canine, a german shepard at one time, with bat wings for oddities sake, lays sprawled out on the floor baddly torn into and quite dead. There wasnt a lot left of the poor dog, not even enough to propperly reanimate. The zombie moves its head back and forth on the floor, making a pathetic gurgling moan and is able to do little else than twitch its left arm.

Xia only continues to stare at the lothsome creature, paw still clutching the door knobb, jaw slack in shock.

Kreed finished his quick visual inspection of the entryway just as the sound of breaking glass rang in from somewhere downstairs. The badger grumbled, but didn't bother turning around. Zombies were generally slow, and always dumb. It would take them some time to get up the stairs, much less this high into the building. Still they were on the clock... which was why when he turned and saw Xia standing several dozen feet down the hallway and just staring into an open door he felt more than a hint of irritation. The fox was still nowhere to be seen, taking shelter in one of the rooms no doubt.

"Hey!" He growled, taking long strides across the hall. "Help me find some furniture to shore up this door." His voice just rose in volume and irritation as he went on. "Unless you want me to use you to clog the doorway." He stopped short of her and carelessly swung an arm out, banging open one of the other apartment doors with an audible slamming of wood against drywall. He didn't wait to see if she reacted, people generally did when he threatened them, and instead just stepped into the room he had busted open. The door swung back in, on a kilter, as if it had been damaged by his violent outburst. Kreed wasn't angry at Xia in particular, he was angry at the whole ordeal, she just happened to be the closest living creature for him to take it out on.

Fuming, he surveyed the room briefly before moving to a closet. This apartment was a mirror of the first one they had entered, except the furniture was of a different make and in slightly different places. These weren't exactly the best apartments, and the badger had low hopes for finding anything of value among the things left behind... plus, there was a more pressing concern. He picked up a recliner chair, straining slightly to lift it but easily able to carry the single-seater out the door, producing another loud banging noise. The badger huffed and began to trundle down the hallway, towards the stairwell. Inaudible to Kreed, scratching noises began to emanate from the apartments at the far end of the hall.

Pat finished checking the set of drawers she was looking at and heard the glass that Kreed heard. Looks like they will need to hurry then. She completely skipped the rest of the apartment and went into the Hallway seeing the end of Kreed's tantrum. Even catching only the end caused her to jump a little and she wasn't even the target. So she could Imagine how Xia felt. And to be honest she felt a little bad for her. She didn't seem to know anything too so she must have hidden up until this point.

Once Kreed broke into the apartment Pat walked up to Xia and asked. "Are you ok?" She felt really bad for her and to be honest she didn't help earlier what with pinning her to a wall plus basically yelling at her.

Leetonia looked the lock box over in her paws before setting it in the bed. It was a simple one, only held shut with a regular combination lock, easy to break into. And with two swings of the crowbar, she was right. Removing the now broken lock and tossing it aside, the fox opened up the box, raising an eyebrow at the contents inside.

The first thing she pulled out was a thick roll of dollars, followed by a black bandana and an snub nose revolver. Whoever has lived here obviously was involved in petty crime, whether it was holding up convenient storys or selling drugs, Alexa figured the latter though since she hadnt found any hard substances in the lockbox as well. The fox couldnt help but smile as she remembered her time as a petty criminal, eventually going on to chasing bigger fish of course, but the times were still not lost on her. She wrapped the bandana around her muzzle and adjusted it to fit before pulling it down around her neck, reaching next for her Kevlar vest and putting that back on as well. Looking over the revolver in her hands, she clicked the chamber open and checked the rounds before spinning the cylinder and snapping it shut, placing the weapon into her waistband and collecting the rest of her things.
She wasnt going to lie, it made her feel good to dress like a thug again. All she needed to do now was bash someones head in and itd be like prison never even happened.

The thought made her laugh, but her humor quickly left as she heard Kreed yelling and the slam of a door, deciding, against her better judgment, to go see if the badger hadnt snapped anybodys neck. Slinging her bag and her shotgun across her shoulder, the vixen casually walked back to the apartment door, a bit startled to find Pat and Xia right across the hall once she opened the door. She shot the husky a quick look before walking up to Xia, grabbing the revolver from her waistband and putting it in the coyotes paw. "Theres your weapon. It takes .38 rounds, you have six  shots. I hope you know how to use it."

Xia jumps when the badger slams his fist. "Sorry...sorry I..." she fails to find a suitable excuse for freezing up before he leaves. Trying not to look at the mangled zombie laying sprawled out across the floor the yote turns and finds a revolver thrust into her chest.

She blinks in surprise. Looking at the gun then to the fox. She tightens her grip on the weapon nodding her thanks while biting back tears.  She says to both of them."Sorry. I'm fine. It just hit me...I...let's face it. Given the circomstances I'd say the big fat computer geek has the most chance of getting eaten on the way from here to our next destination." she gives her own fleshy stomach a pat to emphazise the point then points to the zombie in the room. "Do me a favor. Im not scared of being a zombie...but if /that/ happens to me..."

Xia doesnt finish. Thrusting the gun into her belt the coyote hefts the golf club in both paws. "Excuse me for a second."

She walks into the room. Door closing behind her on its own. There is the sound of one or two soft banging noises and the gurlging of the zombie comes to a halt.

The badger just let the chair fall to the floor once he reached the fire door, pushing int into place with a shove. On its own that wouldn' hold more than a zombie or two, but it was a start. His plan was to essentially just pile so much tangled mess in front of the door that it wouldn't open. He paused for a moment, reaching for his bag to open a bottle of water and take a long drink. While doing so he rummaged through the supplies he had, briefly considering using the jumper cables as a rope... before deciding that they had enough material to block this off. He didn't need to use up a resource like that for a simple door stopper. "If anyone happened to have a car battery...." He grumbled, entertaining the notion of putting a current through the door. Likely wouldn't even be that effective.

He pushed open the nearest door with a lazy shove, looking inside the dimly lit room. He reached in and flipped a light switch, wrinkling his nose at the sight of several dead and thoroughly chewed on mink corpses smattering the room. They even had a pet dog, now little more than a pile of bloody fur and bones. "Fantastic." He huffed, grabbing an end table just inside the door by one leg and dragging it over to prop against the recliner. As he did so he glanced out the small plexiglass window set in the door, an area that looked fragile but would likely prove to bee too strong for a simple zombie, seeing a few shifting shadows in the stairwell, lit from some light down below. He carefully stepped back from the doorway and adjusted the two-piece barricade as best he could. Would it hold them off long enough to grab more furniture... or did the dumb things even know they were in here?

Kreed decided it was worth the risk, carefully ducking back into the apartment nearest the door. They really needed something heavy, like a couch with a metal frame or a well-made bed. Unfortunately these weren't the best of apartments, and most of the furniture was cheap and light... not what you want in a barricade.

Pat would see Xia enter the room and lean up against the wall next to the door as she watched Kreed start building the barricade. There was a lot of thoughts running through her mind as she took her breather. Like how will she get out of here, or is it worth it to travel with this group. Minus the fox of course. Which to be honest it wasn't too bad. They were willing to work together so it was fine. But Xia doesn't seem to know anything about the zeds, plus well... she wasn't fit at all, not even slightly. As for Kreed, she couldn't tell just yet. He's fairly quiet and intimidating so who knows. Maybe she will stick with them for now and when she gets a better idea about them she'll make a decision.

After a sigh Pat stood upright again and entered the apartment Kreed entered. "You want some help moving furniture?"

The vixen watched as the coyote disappeared into the apartment and shook her head before looking over to see Kreed barricading the door, deciding she would do something useful and help out. She sure as hell wasnt as strong as the badger, but she was toned, and knew she could probably lift a few peices of furniture by herself. Alexa set her gun and bag down and the hall and walked into the apartment next to the one Kreed and Pat were in, looking around at the cluttered mess inside. A body of an otter hung over a flipped coffee table, a big hole in the side of its head and dried blood and brain on the wall next to it, indicating someone already took care of it. Still, she gave the body a kick to make sure it wouldnt get up before shoving it off the table, gripping it on both sides and heaving it up. Manuvering it out the door was a bit tricky, but soon she had it in the hall way and propped it up against the door. She quickly walked back into the apartment in a hope not to catch Pats or Kreeds attention, figuring it was best just to give everybody space, let tempers cool down. Even though Leetonia hated to admit it, have other people around made her feel better, less alone and safer knowing she wouldnt have to fight anything by herself.

Xia, after finishing her business with the zombie looks at the twisted remains of the golf club and sighs, "Two in one day...I dont think she will notice..." The yote drops the weapon on the floor. She has no desire to try and clean zombie juices off of a broken weapon.

She glances quickly about the appartment she is searching. Her hungry belly delays the search for weapons, bringing her to the kitchen. She opens the fridge and her eyes show dissapointment at the slim pickings inside. Shutting the door she moves to the freezer.

Her tail begins to wag as she spots several frozen hamburger patties and a few steaks.  Meat! Meaty meatly meats!

"I guess we wont resort to canibalism after all..." Now if only she could find a cooler to transport them in....or have the time to grill them...or a place to do so...

The yote leaves the meet alone for but a moment until she searches the kitchen further to find a lunch pail, a soft one that wraps over her shoulder, and begins stuffing loot into her bag.

She exits the appartment later, glancing left and right down the hallway before trying to catch up with the badger and dog. "So what's the plan? We going to hole up here or leave?"

The badger placed a finger to his lips when the husky walked in, pointing in the direction of the door to the stairwell. After a pause he gave a slow nod, motioning to a few moderately filled bookshelves. If they laid them the right way the extra weight may service to hold the thing in place. Between the two of them it wasn't a hard job, The badger shouldering most of the weight while he silently nodded for Pat to maneuver the end through the door. He heard a shuffling coming from the stairway just before the vixen became visible hauling a coffee table. Luckily it was light and didn't make much noise as it was being adjusted. She moved away as quick as she had come, and Kreed just huffed a sigh. At least she was helping.

As he and Pat moved the bookshelf over to add to the pile, Xia came down the hallway. Kreed just let the bookshelf lay atop the coffee table and chair, face up so that its contents remained inside and applying more weight. It wasn't much, but it would stall a few zeds.

"We need to leave eventually but given that there's a horde of undead in the stairway..." He said, his voice low. He nodded towards the door, where the first zombies were finally noticing their presence and pressing up against the closed door. "We need to find another way out, or wait until the alley clears up enough to head back in that direction." The giant badger just watched the door for a moment, before he moved back down the hall. After all, if they needed to they could climb back up to the roof, zombies would not have the coordination to climb out the window.

Pat helped without complaints and merely ignored the fox as she helped. Once the bookcase was in place pat looked to the barricade and nodded. At least it was sturdy... ish. She would hear Xia asked her question then pat spoke after the badger spoke Pat threw in her opinion. "Let's hole up in the room we came into. If we need to leave early we can escape to the fire escape. And we will be able to check on the zed in the alley while we wait for it to clear. Even rest if we need to while we wait."

Leetonia would listen to the others conversation from the apartment she was in, mauling over their ideas. Letting out a sigh, she walked back into the hallway and collected her thing, throwing her dufflebag over her shoulder before cradling the shotgun in her arms. "Yeah, the roof is a good idea, if we need to retreat back to it that is. The roof of the building next to us is about 1 and a half to two stories below, we should make a way down to it, just incase the dead decide they dont wanna leave ww can go roof hopping." As she spoke she didnt look at the other three, but instead at the barricaded door, or more, the infected bumping on it.

There was a long pause after the vixen spoke up, Kreed's eyes also moving to the door as the zombies bumped up against it. In the silence another noise became evident, and he turn to look down the hallway. He wasn't sure, but he thought he heard a scratching sound coming from that direction. He stood there another moment, but nothing seemed out of place and he simply turned and walked back into the apartment in question. "Roof hopping doesn't sound very appealing." Was all he said as he went through the open doorway. He was somewhat disappointed that they hadn't found anything more useful, but at least they had food and water for a day or two.

He made his way over to the kitchen and with a movement that seemed almost too easy he scooped up a wooden chair and snapped a leg off of it. Rummaging through the drawers he pulled out the sharpest looking knife he could find and took a seat in one of the unbroken chairs, beginning to whittle down the broken end of the chair leg into a sharp point. A backup weapon was never a bad idea, plus the coyote seemed to be lacking a weapon entirely.

Xia, wagging her tail back and forth slowly behind her took a deep breath to steady her nerves. She wasn't exactly with out weapons now but it paid to have a decent back up weapon.

Seeing the badger break down the chair she steps hesitently closer. "Hey." She says simply. "Mind if I take one of th-those legs as a club? Or did yo-you need them all?"

Being the sci fi nerd she was Xia thought about using swords of course against the undead population of the city. And of course chain saws, flame throwers even ray guns. In the end a good old fashioned club would have suited her just fine.

After all if you use a weapon that peirces of slashes an opponant eventually you will cut yourself with it. And considering that the targets in question are infectious practically to the touch...

That and Xia's stomach couldn't stand the thought of being so brutal.

The coyote shakes her head, its odd where her thoughts go sometimes. "Yeah, If you arnt use the rest of the chair I would like to make a club out of it."

Pat would also walk into the apartment with everyone else and got comfortable on the floor beside a wall socket. She wanted to check if power was still running in this building so plugging in her PSvita to the charger was a good way to check in her mind when the device was dead. And with the little light turning on it was a good sign. She decided to tell everyone the news. "Just to let you all know we have some power here." Pat would then rest up against the wall and close her eyes to lightly rest.

Alexa sighed and shook her head as the others ignored her, walking into the apartment last and shutting the door behind them. The fox then went into one of the bedrooms and ripped the all the sheets off the bed before heading into the closet to collect more. Once she was satisfied with the amount gathered, she walked back inti the livingroom and sat on the couch, starting to tue the ends if the sheets together.

Before the badger could reply Xia turns to the husky, "Even if there is power we may not want to use it, not while in a hot zone like this. The lights and noise would just agitate the horde, which is a pity since I found some steak"

She says in a chipper tone. Food always made Xia chipper. But then her voice drew serious, "Does anyone know how to get past the wall? Surely someones heard a rumor or...knew someone with an idea."

Kreed just gave a nod and handed her the one had had already sharpened when she asked, picking up another chair leg and beginning to do the same to it. The kitchen knife wasn't the sharpest tool, and working the wood dulled it rather quickly, but it held an edge long enough to get a solid point onto the chair legs.

"That's a good question." The badger replied, looking around the room. He had made it near the wall once, near the start of all this mess. It didn't seem like something that could be breached by any normal methods. "I've seen it but I did not see anything that would indicate it had an exit... Plus if anyone outside knows what's going on in here I am guessing any attempt to get out would get us shot on sight."

Kreed made note of the power and nodded. "I may have a way to clear the building, then. If we can get water down the stairs and find a power line in the wall we can just fry the **censor**." He grumbled, another wood chip flying from the tip of the chair leg. "Could blow a transformer or any number of other things, though. It wouldn't be particularly safe."

As everyone was talking about plans and the wall pat would pull out her spare box of spare shotgun shells and replaced the ones she spent during the encounter earlier. Obviously listening as she did so. Don't want to get left out from the planing or anything. By the time Kreed would finish Pat would have closee the box and returned it to her bag. "Well in my opinion i think we should steer clear of the wall. There's probably a lot of zeds around there especially if a lot of people tryed to look for a way over or around it." Quickly she would tap a button on her handheld with no immediate response coming from it. As soon as a battery light up un the screen she would look to Kreed and say. "And if we were to rig the electricity like you said there is potentially a fire hazard too. In this building. Points for creativity though."
Title: Re: Dead City (closed)

Alexa pulled tight on the last knot, making sure it was firm before coiling up the sheet rope and laying it on the couch next to her. "Yeah, a fire hazard, and not to mention youll need a 220 volt line to fry anything, and the only way to get that is through the main breaker box in the basement." She added once Pat had finished, leaning forward to grab ahold of the coffie table in front of her and pull it closer. She grabbed her shotgun and began to pull back the action, dropping all the shotgun shells into her paw and placing them on the table. "As for the wall, there is no way in hell we are getting over it of even past it for that matter, the government put it there for a reason." The vixen reached over and grabbed a remaining sheet, ripping a piece off of it and folding it up. Keeping the action open, she began to gently rub the cloth along the inner mechanisms of her shotgun, cleaning away the blast residue. "In situations like these the government has one priority, and thats containment. Make sure the virus or whatever the hell it is doesnt leave the city." She moved the cloth up and around the receiver before flipping the gun over and polishing the barrel. "I guarantee you they will kill us if we get over that wall, beacuse to the Feds, we are already dead. So if any of you have any dreams or hopes of a rescue, Id get over them."

"I can't accept that." Xia blurts out suddenly. "Otherwise what's the point of survival if there is no hope of...well, SURVIVING. If I'm going through the trouble of not getting eaten then I want to live at the end. So some one some where has to know how to get out of here."

The coyote tries to keep herselve from sounding desperate but fails. "Or find a place to ride it out until the government comes to rescue us. They...they will come for us eventually, r-right?"

A zombie in the stair well bumps against the door loud enough to be heard and cause Xia to jump. "Please tell me I'm right!" she wails.

The badger kept his gaze low and on the chair leg he was working on, his voice keeping a forced and even tone as he spoke. "I would not expect help. Plan for the worst." He looked around at the group slowly, the bumping zombies drawing little more than a glance at the door from the big man. "One step at a time. First we survive the next hour, then until nightfall, then the day after." He paused to allow that to sink in, mostly for the sake of their anxious group member.

"Once we have weapons and a safe place to stay, then we can start thinking long term. For now the wall doesn't concern us, this building and the zeds inside do." He looked over to Alexa and gave a nod. "I expect you're joining us for the night. I'm Charlie Kreed."

Pat would sigh lightly after hearing Kreed's name a second time. She just came to realize she didn't say her name to Kreed and Xia yet either. But that bitch of a fox was going to be staying with them. After a sigh she would say reluctantly. "I haven't said this yet... I'm Pat..." that's it nothing else to be said. She would pick up her hand held and power it on with the volume off. Not to game just to look at photos she took with it while living with her grandparents. If only she could turn back the clock with the knowledge she had now.

Alexa simply shook her head, moving the cloth down the length of her gun to wipe off the stock as she listened to Xia. She was about  to destroy the coyotes hopes again when the badger spoke up instead. His answer was better then what she was gonna say, so the vixen stayed silent on the subject, instead reaching forward to grab the shells on the table before responding to Kreed. "Hell, I dont have any place better to be. And if say its nice to meet you all, but given the circumstances id say that would be a lie." Holding her gun up, she started to slip the rounds into the reciever, giving it a pump to load the first bullet in. "My name is Alexa, but a lot of people call me Leetonia, I really dont care which one you use." Inspecting her shotgun over, she sat back onto the couch and kicked her boots up onto the table, laying the gun across her lap as she placed her paws behind her head. "Well isnt this just a merry band of **censor** we have here."

The coyotes ears fall at Kreeds words. I was clear she did not approve of her hopes being shattered. To her credit Xia kept herself from falling completely appart. She continued to smile even as her ears fell flat and as she nervously groomed her tail.

"Xia. My name is Xia. And if we are going to stay here in this building for a while then we should at least do so well fed." she sets her pack down. "I come baring gifts!" she says with a slight chuckle, "I found some steaks in the other room. If we feel safe enough I can cook us up some dinner." if only she had a grill. Well, beggars cant be choosers she guessed and right now Xia will take steaks broiled in an oven over none at all!

Kreed gave a slight nod to each as hey gave their names, though he made no further comments until Xia spoke up about cooking. "I wouldn't turn down a steak." The badger replied, finishing up putting the point on his current chair leg. He set the makeshift weapon aside and paused as if thinking, casting a glance over at the coyote. "Sorry about earlier." He grumbled after the long pause, standing up and moving over to the bathroom.

Being gentle would not save his life, but neither would being cruel. Kreed was not a smart man, or so he had been told many times, but he was smart enough to know that logic was the best course of action in this scenario. He had already seen a lot of people die in the past two weeks... and chances were that these people would die too. However, not getting attached did not mean he could not attempt to treat them with some amount of kindness.

He looked out the window carefully, cautious about making any noise lest he re-attract the horde. He carefully scanned the alleyway, monitoring how many undead were still milling about.

There was still a decent amount over undead sill lingering around. Enough to still be dangerous. But not enough to call a horde anymore. Give it till after Thierry meal abd ut should be clear enough to carefully escape the alley. If nothing bad happened.

As for Pat a steak would be pretty great. She wouldn't look up as she continued to flick through her family photos. "Sure. I'll have one. It's been too long since I had a good steak." After she spoke she booted up one of her games to pass the cooking time.

Despite the smell of burnt meat, and the sound of Xia cursing out the the appartment owner for not cleaning out his oven, the steaks turned out...decent....for being broiled in a cheap oven.

The steaks were served with an unopened bag of potato chips Xia found in a cupboard. The coyote was for once quiet, too busy filling her gullet to talk.

After the meal Xia seemed...more relaxed. It was nice to kick back and pretend things were normal again. She currently found a couch to lounge on and rest after her meal, snoring occasionally to show that she was still alive.

Alexa simply nodded, responding with "sure" before letting out a yawn. Even if in unpleasant company, the vixen still felt she could relax, feeling even a bit tired, the smell of steak wafting in the air the only thing keeping her awake. The meal was pretty good for Leetonias standards, better then the prison food shes been eating for the past four years and much better then anything she could scrounge up in the city.

And aftee the meal she felt even more tired. Returning to her spot on the couch, the fox kicked her feet back up on the table, laid her shotgun across her lap, and leaned back into the couch cushions, stretching with a yawn before following suit with Xia and closing her eyes.

The badger took his time with his meal once it was prepared, carefully eating every bite of steak. It may seem like he was a picky eater, but truthfully he was honestly concerned that this might be the last time he ever got to eat an honest meal. He didn't voice any complaints about the over-cooked steak, simply smiled contentedly once he was finished. By that time two of the girls were sleeping on the two couches, and he quietly moved a recliner chair over against the door of the apartment just in case their barricade didn't hold. He sighed to himself and sat down in the chair, leaning his blood-soaked axe against the armrest with the blade near the floor. He sat that was for some time, eyes closed but no other indication of whether he was asleep or not.

After a long time he opened an eye and looked around to see if anyone was awake, his hand shifting on the axe handle slowly before he sat up in the chair.

Pat would also enjoy the meal fairly well. Setting down her handheld and gobbling up the steak and chips. It was better then all that preserved stuff she has been having lately. Sure the burns were a little unappealing but it didn't matter. In this time a steak was a luxury, one she was grateful for.

After her meal Pat would resume gaming. She wasn't particularly tired only getting up a few hours before this whole ordeal happened. She kept her volume off and didn't bother to put ear buds in. If something went down she would need to hear it. And she would hear Kreed shift but didn't immediately respond. She would die violently in her game the set down the handheld with a annoyed sigh, finally looking to Kreed. "Light sleeper?" She'd ask the badger as she looked him over.

With a paw clutching her swollen stomach Xia snored loudly as she fell into deeper slumber. Hiding away in a house for two weeks spared her the horrors of the zombie invasion until today that is. The zombies out side were at bay perhaps but the zombies in her dreams hounded her through an open field with no cover, not protection.

Waking up with a start the yote pats her chest and stomach, "Just a dream. Just a dream. " slowly the yote removes herself from the couch, not wishing to interupt the sleep of others nor interupt their conversation Xia moves to the nearest window and peeks outside.

Alexa began to stur as she heard voices around her, slowly sitting up with a groan, rubbing her head. It had been ages since she had a peacful sleep like that, so many hours spent staying awake either on alert or on drugs and now her body wasnt use to it. And instead of feeling restes she felt like she got hit by a truck. "**censor**... shit." She slowly got up and set her shotgun aside before grabbing her dufflebag and opening it up, pulling out a small black case. Inside were six syringes, four of them still still holding fluid. The fox knew it would be a waste of an adrenaline shot, but with her head in a fog like it was, it would be important. And, well, she just couldnt help herself. Grabbing ine of the syringes she popped the cap off the needle and dug it into her arm, injecting the fluid inside her.

It appeared everyone was awake around that time, and the badger just gave a nod. "Haven't slept well the past couple weeks, for obvious reasons." he responded, looking around the room as everyone stirred. When Alexa produced the previously un-revealed case of adrenaline shots he gave them a curious look, unsure of what sort of substance was contained within. He made no comment on her actions, though whether out of courtesy or a simple lack of opinion was anyone's guess.

Given that everyone else was awake, Kreed stood up slowly and moved to the window in the bathroom, likewise looking outside. Hopefully the horde would have cleared enough to move by now, if not they would have to make the difficult decision of where to go from here.

As the living would look outside to check on the undead it would seem clear. But they would need to take a back alley exit. Because the window Xia looked from was the front of the building and she could see several still scattered around. The alley that Kreed looked into was clear, minus one undead. no problem at all if they could be discreet.

---

Pat would watch as the badger got up simply saying. "Ah." As the badger left for the bathroom. He probably isn't one for a little small talk then. But that didn't matter to her, with Kreed leaving it gave Pat proper time to shut down the handheld she brought. once it was done powering down she would get up and stretch. Waiting for the allies to return so tgey could plan thier way out.

Xia, if she had noticed the foxes abuse of chemically controlled substences, would have assumed it was insulin. Such was the extent of her medical knowlage.

She peers out at the street below wondering if the doctors shambling corpse is out there. Was there anything left of the strange little lizard? She would like to believe he survived, somehow, and regained enough sanity to stay off the streets.

The yote turns and leans her back against the window, "Oh, good. We are all awake. Listen, I've been thinking, we can't stay here forever. Sure, electricity is good but even that will turn off eventually. But we can't leave with out some goal on mind."

Crossing her arms, "If we can't get across the wall then we need to find someplace for the long hall. Some place with protection, food, someplace we can survive a month there at the very least."

As the pluger sunk lower the fur on the back of Alexas neck began to stand on edge, sending a shiver through the fox's body. She could already feel the adrenaline pumping through her vains, her body becoming more awake. Placing the syringe and kit back in her bag she got up and stretched, rooling her shoulders and cracking her neck before swinging her bag across her back and collecting her gun. "Unfortunately there arnt many places left that are safe and have food. Lots of looting went on in the initial days. Lots of killing. It was quite fun actually but thats not the point." The vixen began. "Food stores, gunshops, and well, I know first hand the police station, are all going to be empty and abandoned. If we are going to find somewhere safe to hold up, we'll have to think outside the box."

Overhearing the conversation as he returned from the bathroom window, Kreed gave a small nod. "Most of the larger stores on the west side of town were little more than empty shells when I went through there a few days ago. Too many people panicked and grabbed far more than they needed." He looked around the room, noting that none of those people appeared to be in this group. Then again, travelling light was preferable when you were being chased.

"We could hit the subway, smash up some vending machines. Shit, we all know there are plenty down there." He scratched his head slowly, sitting back down in the chair he had occupied earlier. " As for weapons, metro security carried handguns at times. They have to keep some on hand in an office somewhere."

His gaze shifted to Alexa briefly, then lingered on the other two. "Another option would be to find the looters and... well...." He knew he didn't need to say more.

Pat listened carefully to what everyone was talking about. After taking her stretch she began packing up her things. She would catch the Fox's plan and immediately voice her opinion about it. "I'm not sure that settling in the metro would be a good idea... i have never really seen zeds go up... anything. So it could be really crowded in there. And if we only have fire arms then a single shot would draw them in on both sides." Pat would get her things together by the time she finishes speaking and toss her bag on her back.

Xia crosses her as, "I am NOT robbing people." that comment is directed mostly to the fox, "But I agree that we will need to think out side the box if we are going to get supplies. Do we need anything besides food and water? Like...prescriptions? The friend I was house sitting is diabetic for example..."

Her tone begins to soften,  "Then again, maybe finding the looters is a good idea. Chances are they are all dead anyway with their stuff just sitting there to rot..."

"Im going to have to agree with curly tail there, the subway is a bad idea. The power may be on here but not in the underground, and I really dont want to go walking down blind into a horde of the dead. Besides, we can get caught with our pants fowm really easy down there, not to many places to run, and it can be the ally incident all over again. If we want guns and ammo, then bodies and people are going to be out best bet, which means we may have to rob or kill some poor bastard." She looks back over at Xia. "Do what you have to to survive." The fox said with a shrug. "If you ask me we need to get to higher ground. And not like any of those skyscrapers, I mean something on a hill."

Kreed rubbed at his jaw thoughtfully, looking around as each of them spoke in turn. It was clear the subway was out of the question. "Elevation wouldn't be a bad idea." He replied. "There's a park on the south side of the city, a little creek runs through it so we would have fresh water, and it has some pretty steep rock faces. The issue there is that we would have to make our own shelter, and gathering food would be an inconvenience after a time." The badger thought a moment longer then shook his head. "That's the only large hill that comes to mind."

Pat would hear the option about the hill and sigh. She had to admit, it was a pretty good option. Plus if any enemies showed up then they would be spotted from a mile away. But... there was the whole build a shelter thing, which she knew nothing about. "uhm... before we do decide to head over there does anyone know how to build a shelter?"

The yote opens here mouth then sighs. "No." Xia admits begrudgingly, "But I know that we should be very carefull about what we drink and eat. We still dont know how this...this infection started...and all it takes is one zombie to stumble into our river and the entire water supply is tainted."

Xia rubs her eyes, "Movies made it look easy right?"

"Im sure water works the same way as alcohol, so if it does I can make a filter. But as far as construction goes, Im useless. Besides, that makes a lot of noise in a really open area, its going to be extremely dangerous. Both the dead and the living will be aware of our position and thats not something we will want."

The badger simply shrugged a response,m though it was clear he was already thinking again. "Noise would be an issue." He replied after a long time of silence. "I've only lived here a year, so if anyone has a better location..." He left the question hanging.

Pat would chuckle at Zia's last comment. Before adding anything else she would sigh before saying. "Well... to be honest the only thing we can do is keep moving. We can't trust any open water source and we don't know how to build a shelter... and as we are moving around may as well clean up the city the best we can right?"

"Right," the yote says in a half hearted way. She jumps as another zombie bumps loudly against the door down the hall. In all honesty she thought the idea of making their last stand in a park was a terrible idea, but she wasn't going to stay here alone either.

"I think its w-worth a shot. B-better than being here, right?" she chuckles nerveously. "We should focus on shelter first. We can worry about food and ammo and extra clothing when we actually have some place to store it."

After a brief pause she draws her gun and twirls it like a cowboy, striking a heroic pose mostly for the sake of humor to liven up the mood, "So when do we head out?" it's extra humourous when the gun slips from her paw.

Humorous in the fact that it doesn't go off. Rubbing her eyes the coyote sighs in shame as she picks up her  pistol.

Alexa laughs. Not because of what Xia did, well, not in the way the coyote intended, but the vixen gave more of a pity chuckle. "You know, that is a pretty good idea there curly tail." She says, turning to look at Pat. "With a city full of houndred of thousands of infected, how could we not of thought of cleaning it up sooner? I mean, we definitely have enough ammo to do that, and I mean, its not like noise echos or anything right? Between us and cowgirl over there we should be able to clear the while city." She lets out another chuckle, placing her hands on her hips and shaking her head. "Ok ok, all fuckery aside, we should focus on surviving, not cleaning up the city. That also means running around in the streets is a bad idea, and hanging out in the park with no shelter is too. But luckily, an idea just came to me." Alexa strolls into the bathroom and swipes the broken glass from the window seal. "I know a place where we can go, could possibly have untouched food as well." She turns back to the group. "I hope you guys are ready to repent, because I wanna go to church."

Ooc So...this story seems to have died if you excuse the pun xD I hate leaving a story unfinished though so if no one minds I will make a quick ending post for my own character. :)

Ic:

"And then we did just so." Xia says as she cuts into the steak. She mixes the meat with mashed potatoes before drowing it in steak sauce.

There is a lull in the conversation as the foxes around the table exchange glances. "And...then what?"

Muzzle full of food Xia gives them all a confused look. "And then what what?"

"Well...what happened after you fled to the church?" says one russet colored fox. They were all gathered in a rather fancy and rather overpriced resturaunt to celebrate the coyotes return. And perhaps to work off some guilt since it was their house Xia was watching when the outbreak...broke out.

"Oh that..." Xia says after another bite. "Then we hid out in a church until the military finally got its tail end together and came and rescued us." And in the months since Xia has never talked about what happened. At least, not all at once and not with out effort. In the time since the coyote has bulked up, to the point most would not reconize her by now. Everyone deals with stress in different ways, Xia's was ben and jerries ice cream.

"That...that can't be it." says another fox. "I refuse to believe that is all that happened."

Xia chuckles merclessly. "I'm sorry but life isn't like holiwood. Sometimes there is no epic conclusion, no struggle. Sometimes...things just work out..." the coyote leans back in her chair, drinking down wine to give her a moment to calm her nerves.

She lived. She survived. Perhaps her tale really did end that way...perhaps it didnt. In the end all that mattered was that they survived. It didnt matter what happened along the way to survive...and she would tell herself that every night to get herself to sleep for years to come until the night mares subsided. But in the end, all that really did matter was that they lived...

Ooc(huzzah! That is ending 1. The happy ending. This is ending 2...the not so happy ending and generally how we all expected Xia to meet her fate anyway xD)

Gone. They were all gone. Just like her dwindling ammo. Xia had no idea if her friends survived. After the horde fell down on them Xia managed to pull herself free and ran, never looking back. She never saw the group again.

In the days...weeks...possibly months that followed Xia found refuge in a local food processing and distrabution center for Little Dingo's Sweet and Tasty Snacks! It was a large building, but already made to be locked down from break in. It didnt take much to fortify her new home from the waves of undead that only grew each day.

Or so she thought. As it turns out Xia was not very good at fortifications, if the sound of the growling horde out side the office door was any indication. All that kept Xia from being swarmed was the a thin wooden door to the office above the factory floor. There were 20...maybe 50 zombies outside. They caught her scent but couldnt find her...not yet...

Her only hope now was to make a run for the door across the cat walk, out the back of the exit. There was a truck outside, the walls prevented her from escaping the city but not the area. She could start over again...she had to start over again. The trouble was as soon as she got up the zombies would see her, break down the door, and give chase.

After spending the last few months in a twinki and pastry factory and combined with the fact that she was a nervous eater the coyote was not exactly in 'fleeing from zombies' shape. She was obese now, but malnurished from a diet of only sweets and probibly suffering from a few cavities as well.

Xia was not a healthy puppy.

Hopefully the fear of being eaten alive would fuel her with enough energy to make it out alive. Xia bolted from her hiding place and the horde became active. She didnt look back as the zombies began to break down the first office door, working on the second.  The coyote doesnt even pass  a second glance at the horde below the catwalk or their collective howl. With her belly hanging to her knees Xia was already panting, gasping for breath.

She hits the door, throwing it open and...then nothing. The door opens only half way, catching on a box outside. "No, no no!" she yells, pounding on the door to force it open. With the horde fast approaching Xia forces herself through the narrow opening, becoming wedged halway through due to her girth. She dares to look behind her. The zombies are closing in. She can just imagine the grand ol feast they will have if they catch her.

Being torn appart...eaten alive...

No! Don't think like that! She was a survivor! She was not going to die! Not like this! She sucks in her gut,  inching her way closer to freedom. She can hear them, they are so close now. She can feel one grabbing her tail. Xia screams and forces her way through. Her tail comes free from the zombies graps and she is quick on her feet to slam the door in its face.

She leans against the door, panting heavily. She turns around and slumps against it. "Heh...heheh..I...I'm still..." and then she sees the massive horde waiting for her outside. Hundreds...thousands of zombies. They seem to pause, just looking at her in shock.

"That...that just isn't fair..." As the horde swarms in on her Xia turns to the door and yells, clawing at the door to get back in. When that fails she leaps over the railing of the stairs and hits the ground running. Xia...doesn't get far to put it politely. She dies not even in sight of the truck. The zombies swarm her from all directions and move in for the kill. A loud yelp cuts through the air as the first bits sinks in, and then another. After a half hour the coyotes yelps cease. After an hour there isnt enough left of the poor yote to  even re animate.

And then the next day the military stormed the city and drove back the deadly swarms of undead. But such is life.

Ooc (that was...a bit darker than intended but hopefully not too gory. Thank you all for the rp! It was fun! If you want to continue this one or start a new one story elsewhere let me know xD)

(Yeah I'm still sorta around too. If we were to reboot it we would need to full on reboot it, get fresh blood into the scene you know. I would also probably need to add some pizzazz besides zombies in California with all the recent fancy RPs cropping up lately. Maybe steampunk zombies would be cool... anyway, I might bring up something in the future when I get something layed out.

Heck. Might not even be zombies for all I know.)
