DARKFALL
Welcome to the sleepy town of Darkfall. located in the idealistic English countryside this town has continued quietly, existing as a perfect little town. Everyone knows each other, crime is low. A pleasant, if somewhat insular society.
Or at least that's how things were, until a week ago, a violent murder occurs behind the local Church, usually such a thing would be news, but not hugely noteworthy, what sets this apart from most killings, is the nature of the body.
The corpse was Completely mutilated and smashed. The killer is still loose, and the only clue is blood smeared on a nearby tombstone:
"Henda Coofena. Sytenc Enteco."
You find yourself in this town as a stranger, perhaps drawn by the murder, or a simple bystander here for unrelated reasons.
Rules:
- This is a horror RP, no powers, no extraordinary skills, you are completely normal Fur.
- This is in England, so no/very few guns. ((If you want a gun, You must justify it in character))
- Wave posting is in effect. this means I post, you all post once, and then I post again.
- No godmodding.
- No more than 2 characters at a time.
- You might die. If this happens you can introduce another character, but the previous one is dead. ((If the RP has gone too far to introduce a new character, I might arrange you to control an existing character.))
- I will be playing as the murderer(s) And the town.
- Technology is not reliable, don't expect your phones/laptops to work properly.

Interesting! But how does one justify a weapon exactly? I have a character who's SAS, but im not sure that exactly justifies it

Would a member of the SAS have a gun with him while off duty? If so then I guess I can allow it. though I would request you keep it to handguns or similar. ((Don't turn up in a tank XP ))

Lol, no tanks. And officers of the SAS do generally keep a handgun with them while off duty

Put it in the character sheet, and that should just about be OK.
I would like to request no-one else takes a gun if winter is going to have one.

Profession: Unemployed (recently turned 18)
Reason for being in the town: Just visiting (trying to find his purpose in life.)
Back story: Addison recently finished his A levels in psychology and music, both of which have given him no actual helpful skills for his life outside of school, as far as he's concerned. He's been finding himself becoming bored and trying to find how he fits into the world and everything. His parents convinced him some time in the peaceful countryside and fresh air would do him some good and maybe improve his slightly pessimistic attitude towards the world and himself. This struck him as odd as he always thought he was quite nice to people and tries to just sort of blend in and offend no one. He tried to refuse but eventually gave in and ended up in the small town, knowing no one and not really wanting to be there.

Reason for being in town: news of the murder prompted him to investigate on his off time
Back story: from a young age, he's been longing to help people. Initially a member of MI6, he decided to transfer to the SAS, where he carries out special missions of the same capacity, but with genrally more than one person teams.

Reason for being in town: Calixso is nomadic at heart. He moves from place to place trying to find whatever he can to sustain his life whilst, at the same time, exploring and enjoying the simple things in life.
Backstory:
Calixso always found trouble in his life in the city. Gang violence ran rampant through the streets. No place was safe. Calixso survived merely by learning a string of martial arts that he eventually mastered. He is tired of fighting just to keep himself alive. In time, Calixso made the decision to leave the city and simply wander about the world. Fate it seems has led him to this town...

OK. We have 5 or 6 of us here now. I am going to close it off, (was not expecting such a large number of people to jump on this RP :o D: ) BUT Zaida can still join if she submits a character sheet. as she showed clear interest in the second post. Other than that this RP is closed, I will start it tomorrow if I get the chance.

I've decided to leave the roleplay cast. I haven't really been in the mood to roleplay lately and don't want to slow the roleplay down with delayed and lame responses.

Should we continue with waveposting in scenes which involve dialog and only one or two people? my current thinking is no... otherwise dialog might take forever.

Back story: he was a professional bull rider for ears but retired to enjoy what he had left of his body, meaning he had suffered alot of injuries in his career he still has all of his limbs, and to see the world. Now he finds himself in this quite little town in the english country side.

Radiodine has voted with his feet, I am laxing the rules, Dialog is a free action. for the moment there is no limit, though if I end up with pages and pages of dialog I might reconsider. You should only do one "Action" per cycle though, to avoid people being left behind.
((Action means for example, punching someone or walking somewhere))

Radio, it is close to a week since your last post,I know you say there are real life reasons getting in the way, but that does NOT add up with the forum activity I am seeing elsewhere on this site, and given how long you have gone without posting, I cannot really keep the RP going without activity for much longer. Please post something in the next 24 hours, or you will be skipped again, and if you continue to not post within 3 days, I will have no choice but to boot you from the RP.
I am sorry I have to say this, and am aware you might have good reasons for not posting, but its not fair on the other three members of the RP to keep them waiting, and the reasoning you gave over PM does not add up with the fact I have seen you online frequently over the last week.

It's perfectly fine. Never beat yourself up on something as simple as miscommunication and confusion. There is no direct blame on anyone.

I will also reiterate, Dialog between players can happen WITHOUT needing to wait for me. Just don't abuse it by posting 3000 pages of dialog.
((for example the conversation between Calixso and Deveraux on page 4 and 5 is fine))
This is ONLY for dialog though, only one 'Action' post per wave please.

I am getting kinda tired of booping you to be honest, for the foreseeable future, I am posting every 48 hours regardless. I want to keep this moving
Whatever happens I am gooing to post tomorrow sometime, from there, 48 hours per rotation.
If you actually cannot manage that schedule please say.

Due to lack of activity from Radio, I am declaring that I will no longer wait for them before continuing into a new wave. If they do not reappear on the forums within 4 days, I will declare them no longer part of the RP.
I have had repeated problems with them not posting, and my current information tells me that they might have left the forums. They were last online 4 days ago.
Radio. If you are reading this and able to respond, please say something. Even if you can't post in the IC thread, otherwise I will have no choice but to kick you entirely.
Note that for now there character is "Frozen" They are inactive, for now they are still officially part of the RP.

Assuming Radio does not turn up before Wednesday, what should we do with Calixso?
Until I know WHY Radio has gone, I am not going to kick them. As it would be unfair on Radio if there is a good reason. Hence I am not going to kill the character, or put them in a situation where they are unable to act.

There is a chance I might have to end this. Kalan seems to have left the forums suddenly.
I have tried to get in contact with him, but he refuses to respond.
Even if I could continue two players down, I would not want to without him.

I am officially saying Radio is no longer in this RP. After the current scene, Calixso will freak out, return to her room at the hotel, and leave town.
this is not a decision I have made lightly. But I have given them plenty of time, and not heard a thing from them.
Winter98, If the person you referred to still wants to join, tell them to PM me to discuss their character. The RP has gone on for some time, but I think I might still be able to get them in.
