Title: The City of Petalway (one on one RP. Taken)

*Ahem*

The port town of petalway is a large city. It's citizens are no stranger to the many strange things that happen there. As the only city were there are more anthros than humans, it is a very unique place.

Lenore is walking along the road on the sidewalk. It was noon and many people were walking along side him. "Sure is a busy day" he says to himself.

Brooklyn was standing outside her building, daydreaming. It was only noon and she haven't had any plans for the rest day. She was only thinking to either to take a slow stroll around the community or just go by friends house and just relax. Then again, she does have to buy a few things for the house...Rethinking herself to reality and watching the busy side walk she watched the herd of people. She wondered what was happening today.

Lenore continues to walk until something catches his eye. A lone figure in a mostly empty apartment above, simply staring down at the walkway. His curiosity peaked, Lenore stops completely and stares back wondering if she'll notice

Brooklyn been had notice, she prayed he would leave shortly. Please leave, please leave..." She repeated to herself, pretending to look down the street. At this moment she was wanted to run inside and hide underneath her covers, but instead she stood there and looked down at her feet.

Lenore catches the stranger's body language and realizes she's nervous. He looks away but still stands there, wondering why and what he could do about it.

Looking by the corner of her eyes Brooklyn noticed the mouse was looking away but still standing there...Gulping she decided to open the front gate and go for a short walk.

Lenore peaked up at the window and noticed she was gone. "Darn it" he scolds to himself. He shouldn't have played with her, he didn't mean to scare her like that.

Brooklyn didn't know where to make her next move. Turning the corner and going to the back of the building, she opened the back door and went to her apartment floor. Hopefully if she hide here for awhile, maybe the mouse would go away. For now she turned the tv and fixed herself a small snack.

Lenore decides he's been standing still to long. He needs to make this right. He enters the building to see if he can find the one he's been bothering. He wants to apologize for what he's done, although, he may just make things worse. He decides to stay in the lobby for only a few minutes. If she doesn't turn up, he'll leave her alone.

It was only a few minutes later until l Brooklyn finally came to her senses it was clear. Removing herself from the couch and out the door she went to the lobby, not noticing anything. The guy who worked in the front desk, she went beside him and lowly whispered to him, saying, "How you seen a mouse around?" As she said this, her eyes looked around to watch anyone who were watching. However, not finding anyone she somewhat managed to find him again. She ignored the dog's response and looked at the mouse, almost speechless. Then again,b she knew what to say.

"You should know it's rude to be stalking people"

"Well, the way you looking at me it sure made suspicious..." Stalking or not Brooklyn for sure looked up to him as a stalker. She remembered the look she had gotten, and she was certain he wanted to know her every move. As she thought of this her ears went back. "I'm not shy. I just dont trust people or men nowadays -- ugh, it's none of your business"

"New? I just moved from one apartment to another..soo..I'm kinda use to the area. Just new faces, that's all. Touring won't be necessary. I've been here a month" Even though she appreciated his help, she wasn't interested.

They leave together, luckily there was a coffee shop nearby. Lé Café was one of those uptight places that "upper class" people go to socialize. Not a good place for "commoners" to go as the others can be rude. But Lenore didn't hesitate for a second, this was how he was gonna welco- "Wait." He says, outside the cafe door. "I never introduced myself. I'm Lenore, and you are?"

This would probably have to be the best coffee shop ever. Brooklyn and her friends always came to the shop and just enjoyed the morning breeze. When she was about to reach for the door she was stopped by the Mouse's response. "Uh...Brooklyn" She said, and went inside.

They go inside. The place is obviously owned by a wealthy man, as they enter, the people who are already there turn and look at them. Some smile, most only cast a glance, but others (especially the cashier) sneer in disgust.

"So. What would you like?"

Ignoring his comment he looked at the cashier. "Can i have an ice coffee? Also, add lots of cream and sugar. Thanks"

"Uhh, I'll just have a mocha, decaf please."

"Decaf?" The cashier says in a harsh tone. "And an iced coffee?... very well that will be $15.99 you sure you can afford it?"

"Of course." Lenore says. He hands over the money. The cashier looks at it, defeated, he says nothing as he puts the money in the register and begins to make the beverages.

Brooklyn was silent the entire time; she couldn't believe she had embarrass herself with this guy. While she can she tried her eyes entertained on the cashier as he made the coffee. "Here's your ice coffee "He said, passing it over. "Thanks" And sipped on the drink.

"And here's your mocha... Decaf" the cashier says. Lenore takes the drink, removes the lid and examines it. He looks back up. "Thank you", he says. He takes a seat in a booth near the window. A few people cast a venomous look at him and Brooklyn. So Brooklyn, what do you do?

"Let's get out of this place. It's starting to sicken me" Getting she got up, sipped her drink, and left the shop. Returning to the mouse attention she sighed. "I...haven't thought of that yet"

Brooklyn's sudden exit caught Lenore off guard. He quickly gets up and follows her. But he stops just at the door, turns around and faces the rude people in the cafe. "You'd better watch out next time". He exits the shop and catches up with Brooklyn. "Hey, what's wrong? Did I do something? Was it those people? Because I WILL take care of them, just say so."

"Nothing, I'm perfectly fine. I just dont like to be starred at too much. Plus, those people get on my nerves." For a first Brooklyn smiled at Lenore. "I hate to be starred at" Remembering earlier she somehow manage to get over it. "But its alright now. I'm okay"

"Oh no, its just me here, I've lived here for a while" Nearby a faint police siren is sounding, it grows louder, Lenore turns around and sees the trouble, the city gangs have gotten into a skirmish with the police, the fight is getting intense. "Stay close to me." Lenore says, with a serious look on his face.

Ready to say something, yet interrupted but a loud noise. Brooklyn shifted her head and watched as two police cars speed down the street before making the stop turn. Now, Brooklyn was terrified. "Yeah. But i also highly prefer if go somewhere safe...." She replied, knowing at this moment it wasn't safe to be on the streets.

Lenore keeps staring at the the commotion, hoping that the police can take care of it. It's not looking that way, the gangsters are going to finish what they started and take as many down with them as they can.
Lenore responds to Brooklyn's comment. "You're right, get back in the shop, I'll tell you to come out when it's safe".

Brooklyn shook her head in disapproval. "No, I prefer if we go back to my house. I already seen enough on those people' Without another word she grabbed his wrist and pulled him.

"NO!" Lenore says and jerks her back, but looking close into Brooklyn's eyes brings him back into the situation. "I mean... yes... you should go, but I can't come with you, I have to do something... so just go, run, hide, this will all be over soon."

Brooklyn felt a shiver down her spine after his loud remark. Obeying she let him go and backed up. "Okay..." She said slowly and looked behind her, hearing more sirens. It was probably best if she left now. Without saying anything she allowed the mouse to do whatever and went to the direction of her house. At least she would be safe there.

Lenore watched her go, he had to get this done quickly, before anyone gets hurt, especially her. He makes a B-line for the thugs, who were now using their painted car as cover in the shootout against the person. He rushes in and is on them like lightning. A kick here, a punch there, and as quickly as it all began it was over. Lenore dropped a gun he confiscated from a now unconscious gangster. He returns to Brooklyn. "It's alright now, I said it would be over soon. Are you okay?"

Safe away from chaotic streets Brooklyn in the meantime turned her tv on. She laid flatly on the couch, ignoring the loud noises in the background and closed her eyes. It was long then when she heard a familiar voice. She opens her eyes and saw Lenore. "Back already?" She said with disbelief. "That was quick. -- And if i wasn't okay, I wouldn't be almost passed out on the couch" Yawning she sat up and sighed.

"I... took care of it..." Lenore hesitates, he shouldn't say too much, it would complicate things. "I don't think we should go back out there for awhile, do you mind if I stay the night?

Brooklyn feared the mouse was too uncomfortable answering her questions. Even though she wanted to know where he went and what he had to do, she still understood and slowly nodded her head. "Yeah, sure." She then said and got up to get a drink.

Lenor listens to the television. "The situation hasn't gotten any better. Rioters and looters are at large in east Petalway. If this is your area we advise you to lock your doors and take shelter."

"Drat!" Lenore curses silently at himself. East Petalway was far from the apartment but he couldn't let this go on. Looks like today would be a busy day after all. "I... I have to go." He says as he stands up.

"Already? But you just came" Brooklyn said, not realizing she was whining. Finding this was the second time he had tovgo and do something, Brooklyn was definitely suspicious. Asking no further questions she only nodded. "Okay" Whatever he was hiding he needed to tell her sooner before she found out herself.

"Thank you, I'll  explain later" he leaves the apartment. He wishes he didn't have to explain, he wishes he didn't have to put everyone he meets through this mess. Worst of all, he wished Brooklyn didn't have to see this part. Maybe she'll change the channel. He exits the building and makes his way towards East Petalway in a flash of light.

"Hm, I can't wait to hear this" She muttered after the mouse left the apartment. Sighing and not much to do, she decided she would might as well take a nap until he returns. All this stuff happening was giving her a headache.

Meanwhile, East Petalway was in shambles. There were just too many rioters and not enough police. Lenore looks at the chaos, raises his hand, and summons his sword in a flash of light. He makes a dash for the crowd, and is in the frey. Kicking, swinging, and fighting his way through the confusion, looking for a leader. He finds a large, muscular man wearing a bandana and makes his way toward him. The leader looks at Lenore and pulls out a gun, but in the same instant Lenore reached him and gives a flurry of quick attacks. The man falls down and the rioters notice. The police then overtake them and order was restored for the moment. Lenore slowly makes his way towards Brooklyn's apartment. He sees a news helicopter above the area and hopes Brooklyn hadn't seen any of it. Then he looked at his own cuts and bruises and realized that news or not, he would be figured out.

It was beginning to get dark,and Brooklyn finally woke up from her nap. Then again when trying to look around for Lenore she finally came to conclusions she was still alone. Sucking her teeth she got up and turned on the light, making her way to the kitchen. She grabbed a clear glass, liquor bottle, and poured some. Brooklyn then took a sip before resting it on the table, thinking.

While thinking she listened to the background noises of police men, helicopters and gunshots. "It's still going on?" Breathing heavily she picked up her glass and took another sip.

Lenore reaches the apartment door. He raises his hand to knock, but stops. "How am I going to do this?" He wonders, this could ruin everything between him and Brooklyn, and there wasn't much there to begin with. But Lenore knows he can't just leave, and he knows he can't keep this a secret anymore. He knocks on the door. *Knock*  *Knock*

Her ears peaked, hearing the knock. "Who is it?" She yelled, her eyes closing as said this. Not hearing an answer she groaned and left her place, getting the door. She opened and saw Lenore. "Oh, it's you. Hi" And went back to the kitchen.

Pouring herself a third round she looked up at the mouse, smiling, "I know we didn't have a such a great intro when meeting each other. But to be honest, I'm over it. So I guess you can say we're friends." And took her sip. "Usually I act meanie type when i try to make new friends" She then added.

*Lenore puts his hand out and produces an orb of bright, white light. The orb floats above his hand, and remains there.*

Amazed what she was seeing she was utterly speechless. "Well then...that's something" She said, not finding the exact words to show how she was feeling. "Are you alien?" She whispered. It should be noted she was drunk.

Brooklyn paused and try to think what she's doing tomorrow. When she realized she had nothing planned,she said, "but i haven't planned anything yet. I might stay home."
