((Amy is a blue eyed squirrel in this rp))
It was the time of Father Abbot's jubilee feast, the hall was quiet as Father Abbot stood up and gave his thanks giving speech
“Fur and whisker, tooth and claw,
All who enter by our door.
Nuts and herbs, leaves and fruits,
Berries, tubers, plants and roots,
Silver fish whose life we take
Only for a meal to make.”
Amy, a small blue eyed squirrel looked on from the window, she had tears in her eyes, for she was an orphan and had no family.

Kyle, a young blue jaguar wearing a blue vest and cap along with brown pants, made his way to the castle on foot. He had just completed his recent mission and was coming back to report in.

Amy sees the jaguar and squeaks, she scurries off in fright, but in her haste, she accidentally bumps right into him, "P..please d..don't eat m..me" she says, frightened and curled up. He soft bushy tail curled around her

With a raised eyebrow, Kyle leaned down to the squirrel and said in a friendly tone, "Eat you? Now why would I do that?"

"Y...you're a c...carnivore...you e..eat my k...kind and i...i was...spying i...in the a..abbey" she whimpers

"True, i'm a carnivore. But don't need to worry about me." Kyle said with a friendly smile, putting a hand out to help lift her up.

Amy shakily takes the offered paw "i..i have no home, my parents were killed by Azmodaous"

"Azmodaous?" Kyle asked, lifting her up to her feet, "I feel that I reconize that name. But anyways, sorry to hear about your lose. The name's Kyle MaJoi, monster hunter."

"H..hes a g..great big serpent...a..and im A..amy" she says, climbung onto him

"A serpant?" Kyle said with a grin, "Well hot damn! I just so happen to be a monster hunter!"

Amy giggles as she reaches his head and nestles into his hair "you're silly. I like you" she chirps somewhat more chippy than she was moments ago

Kyle chuckled as she climbed onto him, saying with a smile, "You sure like to climb on folks, don't you?"

Amy chirps "oh no, you're the first. I just feel safe around you, now that i know that youre kind and nice"

Meanwhile, Damien, a large black and blue rabbit was in the front garden waiting for someone

Moving the squirrel to his back, Kyle began walking again as he then asked, "By the way, I never caught you name."

"I..it's Amy" she says shyly as she nestles into his fur

"Amy," Kyle said, "I think it's a nice name! It fits with you, really."

Amy blushes and giggles as she cuddles her bushy tail
Damien was waiting for Kyle and sees him, "I see you've found a new youngun' to take care of" he chuckles

"it looks like it." Kyle said with a smile, "I just back from slaying a hydra and I met her along the way. I guess she really likes me now." His tail swung in a cheeful, calm mood as she spoke.

Amy had curled up with her small, soft, bushy tail curled around her, and was asleep
Damien chuckles "Come to think of it.." he think for a moment "I thought I saw a little squirrel peeking into the abbey during the feast. I bet a hot meal that this is the same youngun'"

"Is that so?" Kyle asked, his ears perking up from hearing that there was a feast, "Maybe Amy just wanted to see what the chiefs were cooking up. Speaking of which, I'm feeling kinda hungry myself."

Damien smiles "you know, Father Abbot's jubilee feast, but you could be right, she looks like she had suffered." he says, using his magic to create a small blue flame that infused itself with Amy, keeping her warm, and then creates some magic clothes for her. "much better"

"Yeah, she told me that her parents were killed by some serpent." Kyle said, feeling empathy for the girl, "Luckly for her, I'm a monster hunter."

Aphio, a mid-height raven, walked up to the door of the Abbey, and knocked lightly. He thought to himself, please let this be the right place...

Constance, a middle aged badger walks up to the door and opens the look out slot "Who is it?" she asks

"Oh yeah, Azmodeus was it's name!" Kyle snapped his finger from remembering, "Say, how about I avenge Amy's parents and slay that serpent?"

Aphio held out a small scrap of paper, offering it to the badger.

Damien sighs, "Do what you think is best old friend, but be careful, I can sense that this little youngun' has become quite attached to you, I'd hate for her to go through the heartache once again" he says with a smile
Constance looks a the paper and opens the gate, "you came, good. Mathias is waiting for you"

Walking inside the gate, Aphio gazed around, looking at the decoration that adorned the walls.
This seems... Welcoming He thought to himself, not speaking.

Making a bold laugh, Kyle grinned as he said, "I've been swallowed, sat on, thrown around, and mauled by the most ferocious monsters in the land. I think I can take a mere gardener snake like Azmodeus!"

Constance leads him to where Mathias was, he was sitting in front of the tapestry of Martin the Warrior, and reading a book, he looks up "Aphio? You got my letter?"
Damien laughs "Good, because i sense you are also getting attached to the little girl"

"I'm usually a lonely guy," Kyle pointed out, "Believe me, I'm a pretty social guy. But i'm usually away from society hunting monsters and collecting bounties. Amy here had brightened up my day."

Aphio nodded, expecting questions to be thrown. He had never liked to speak, but he guessed he needed to everyso often.

Damien nods, "well how about I help the wee little one a bed to sleep in, then we can have a little feast of our own? I saved you some from before" he chuckles
Mathias sighs "what news of your travels? I expect you have much to tell"

He flinches at the pain from his throat, but remains calm.

Damien helps lift up the little squirrel and sighs "so young and such heartache"
Mathias rubs his temples "As it has done to the Abbey, welcome dear friend"

Aphio hoped that the place hadn't changed too much in his absence- travelling was nice and all, but returning was so much nicer of an experience.

"Constance, ask the mousemaidens to prepare a feast, for our friend Aphia has returned" Mathias says with a smile
Constance smiles "Alright" she walks past Aphio "welcome home dear"

"It is nice to see all of you again."
Aphio smiled as he looked back at Constance.

Constance tried hard not to cry, she was happy to see Aphia home, for she had a terrible secret, which was that she had feelings for him.

Aphio left and headed for the gardens, as he had used to spend a lot of time there. Walking among the bushes and flowers, he kept an eye out for anyone that he had not seen before- there must certainly be some new residents since he had left.

A young kitten was also in the garden, she was playing with a ball of yarn and giggling

Seeing the kitten, Aphio approached cautiously- she seemed unfamiliar..
"Urh... Hello there..."

The fluffy calico looks at him "h..hewwo, you're Aphia r..right?" she says, purring as she circles his legs

"Yeah, that's me. Mind if I ask,who are you?"
Aphio felt rather strange, as no one had ever taken him to not be a threat quite as quickly.

"Ph..Phoebe, orphan, Constance looks after me" she purrs

"Ah, it is a pleasure to meet you, Pheobe"
Aphio plucked a flower from a nearby bush

Phoebe purrs and smiles, gently batting the ball of yarn around, "Are those for miss Constance? She likes you, you know?"

"Wha-what? Really, she does?"
This was quite the suprise- he thought of her highly, but had never thought this would be the case.

Phoebe purrs and giggles "mhm, she may look like a grump, but she has a big heart, and she has your photo."
Constance looks out the window and sighs

"And I've only just arrived back to hear this... I've missed this place so much."

Phoebe pounces on the ball of yarn but trips and falls into the lake, "H..help I cwan't swim!"
Constance then runs out and dives in, she then comes out seconds later with the drenched little kitten "Oh you silly kitten, you had mama so worried" she cradles her in her arms, while smiling shyly at Aphio

Aphio puts his arm around constance, and walks her inside
"You should have let me do that... The water is no place for a lady like yourself"

Constance blushes "I...but she's my baby, if i lost her..."

"I wouldn't let that happen"
Aphio continued to look forward he didn't want to show anything quite yet.

Damien helps lift up the little squirrel and sighs "so young and such heartache"

"A headache indeed," Kyle said with his arms folded.

Constance begun to cradle Phoebe and coo to the poor mewling kitten, "shh, shh, it's alright dear, mama will ask mrs Cornflower to fetch you a nice warm bowl of your favorite soup and some desert" she coos. Showing a soft side that not many a beast has seen.
Damien smiles "I said heartache, not headache you silly great ol cat" he chuckles

"I must bid you goodbye, for now. There are matters I must attend to. I hope to see you soon."
Aphio took to the left, and headed towards the main hall, his heart beating furiously.

Constance nods "Isn't Mathias having a feast for you tonight? We shall see each other then" she says, as she goes to the right, towards her room, and where Phoebe's cot was.

Mathias chuckles, "Aphio, come here a moment"

Hearing Mathias, Aphio made his way to him.
"Yes, what do you require?"

"you share feelings for Constance, don't you old friend?" he asks, with a soft smile, "Oh don't worry, I was once afraid to tell Cornflower how I felt about her" he chuckles

Aphio looks at Mathias, suspicion rising

Mathias chuckles "heh, you don't think I saw how you were trying hard not to hold Constance close to you as you two walked in, you arm around her, no less"

Damien nods "Well come on in my old friend"
With a smile, Kyle followed Damian into the castle, carrying Amy on his back.

" I will let my feelings be known when it is necessary."
Aphio tuned to leave the room, feeling slightly anxious for what he may have brought himself into.

"she loves you Aphio, and I am sure you will make a fine father to little Phoebe" Mathias says before returning to his studies
Amy was sound asleep and sucking on her paw

Leaving the room, Aphio went back outisde, and sat by the pond.
He thought I have never thought about settling down for good... But this place would be the place to do it, I guess...

Cornflower sees him and brings out some fish, "thought you might like something to eat Aphio, what's on your mind?" she asks, setting the fish down for Aphio

"Ah, thank you. I have a few things on my mind, but I am sure they will be cleared soon."
Aphio remebered cornflower from before he had been travelling.

Cornflower smiles and sits with him, "You know, my husband counts you as one of his closest and dearest friends, and so do I." she looks up to Constance's room window and sighs "and Constance is a wonderful woman, she cares for kitten Phoebe as if she were her own child."

"Oh man oh man, smells like something's been cooking!" Kyle said as he smelled the fresh aroma of food as he followed Damian.

Damien laughs "you're as bad as old Basil Staghare!" he smiles, "and yes, it would seem..." sniffs the air "ah, fish, looks like Aphio is home"

"So you know of her liking to me as well?"
Aphio guessed there was not one soul here who didn't know.

"Oh don't worry dear Aphio, only a few of us know" she says, patting his paw

"Aphio?" Kyle asked out of curiosity, "Now who's he, or she?"

"Ah. Okay, thank you."
Aphio took a bite from the fish, which was one of his most cherished foods.

Damien smiles "Aphio is a cat, a dear friend of Mathias and Cornflower" he says, walking towards the gate
Cornflower smiles "I think you two would make a lovely couple, if it's any consolation"

"Thank you... I'm sorry if I seem a bit... Void, but this is all very sudden"
Aphio couldn't help the feeling of happiness he had when he had returned.

Cornflower nods "It is alright, but maybe I should go check on the preparations for the feast"

"Okay. I will see you there?"
Aphio continued to eat the fish while getting up.

Cornflower chuckles and walk to the kitchen where Constance was feeding Phoebe, she smiles

Aphio walked further into the garden, and sat on a bench overlooking the pond. He could clearly see fish swimming in the pond.
The lives we break to feed our own... But alas, we must survive.
With a new feeling of determination, Aphio decided that he would ask constance to be with him...

Constance was in the kitchen and feeding Phoebe some soup, "there you go sweetie, eat up" she strokes the kitten's ears

... But he would wait, until the feast. They said he could never be loved out when he was travelling. Oh how wrong they turned out to be.
He got up, and walked to the kitchen

Constance smiles up at Aphio, as does little Phoebe, "C..can I pway with wou later?" Phoebe asks him cutely

"Yes, of course. I always have time"
Well, he has now. Before, Aphio was always constrained by work or travels. Now, he was free, unburdened and happy to be living as he did.

Phoebe giggles and claps her paws "yaaay *cough* yay" she says with a slight cough
Constance scolds her "don't get too excited little one, you're not well"

"Hey. We will have to make sure you are better first"
He turns to constance
"You are a wonderful woman to look after her."

Constance blushes and smiles "she was left her, well her parents were here too but they died, I made a promise to look after her as if she were my own, and that's just what I'm going to do"

"Ah. Well, she is very lucky to have you."
Aphio walks around the kitchen, smelling all the foods being prepared.

Constance smiles as she continues to feed the kitten
Cornflower giggles "Are you still hungry Aphio? There's plenty of soup if you want some"

"No thank you, I will wait until the feast. I cannot wait."
Aphio walks from the kitchen, down the hallway away from the kitchen

Phoebe tries to squirm from Constance's grasp and crawls after Aphio but Constance picks her up "not yet sweetie, you haven't finished eating"

Hearing Pheobe, Aphio turns and heads back towards them.
"I shall wait here for you."

Phoebe giggles as Constance finishes feeding her, "there now you may go play, but stay away from the lake for now, alright sweetie"
Phoebe nods and mewls, before going to Aphio

"So what do you wish to do, Pheobe?"
Aphio kneels down to Pheobe.

"Can we pway chasey?" she asks cutely, circling his legs and purring softly
Constance hides a smile behind a paw

"Sure, if constance if fine with that."

Constance smiles "Of course, just be careful"

"So, do you want me to run, or you to run?"
Aphio nstood back up, looking at Pheobe

Phoebe giggles "I'll wun" she says as she purrs loudly and runs away

Aphio stood, waiting for Pheobe to gain some distance. He then set off towards her, taking it rather slow.

Mrs Churchmouse giggles as she helps Constance clean up, "He admires you, you know"
Constance nods "i know, and I admire him too"

"Phew, you're good at this!"
Aphio caught up to Pheobe, being only a few metres behind.

She giggles and purrs, then quickly darts behind him and pounces on him "gotcha daddy"

"Ah! You go- wait.... Daddy?"
Aphio was quite shocked by this revelation.

She nuzzles and purrs "wou love my mummy don't wou?"
-
"Urh.... Yeah... I do."
Aphio sat down, next to Pheobe.

She licks his paw "and wou love me too, wight?"

"Yes, who couldn't really"
Aphio looked towards the kitchen.

Phoebe purrs and curls up in front of him, purring loudly "then wou are my daddy, wike Constance is my mummy"

"Well... Thank you."
Aphio places his hand on Pheobes head, gently stroking her.
"Will you be present at the feast?"

Phoebe purrs, and nods "Wes, mwummy will be too" she purrs loudly
Constance looks out and smiles, holding a paw over her heart "Just as I suspected, he's got a soft spot for the youngun"

Smiling gently, Aphio looked down.
"Wonderful. Its nice to be back here"

Phoebe closes her eyes and cuddles up to Aphio, "w...wove wou dwaddy" she purrs softly in her sleep

Aphio lays back against the wall
"Love you too..."

A few hours pass, and the smell of food being laid on the tables wafts through the air
Phoebe smells it and wakes up, she licks Aphio's paw "Dwaddy, fwood"

Waking up, Aphio smelt the food.
"Wow.... That smells amazing"

"Should we make our way to the feast?"

Damien chuckles "I wonder if Aphio has met little Phoebe yet"
Phoebe circles his legs and purrs "wes dwaddy" she reaches up "cawwy me?"

Aphio picked up Pheobe, and made his way to the banquet hall, while brushing his fur down*

Phoebe giggles "wou twying to wook good for mwummy?"

"Hahaha, I guess I am."
Aphio entered the hall.

"Is that..." the smell of Kyle favorite food went against his nose as he began to speed up, his mouth watering from what he was thinking.

Damien chuckles "I expect so, you know Cornflower, always making sure everyone has something they enjoy"

"You can say that again!" Kyle said with a wide smile, rushing to the source of the smell.

Aphio sits at the table, holding Pheobe. The room was filled with the smell of food, and the smell of... Wait... Who was he?

Constance looks at him "Search me, I think he's new"

With Amy on his back, Kyle rushed into the feasting room with his mouth watering as he looked around for his favorite food.

Damien follows and chuckles, he sees Constance sitting next to Aphio and winks at her, she blushes

"Sio, how are we Constance? Feeling well?"

Constance smiles "Well looking after little Phoebe and the whole abbey is a handful, but yes I've been well, thank you Aphio"

"Well, you seem... Lonely here, looking after Pheobe by yourself."

Constance sighs "It is somewhat lonely here, seeing all the lovely couples here and such"

Aphio looked awkwardly down
"Well... Would you ever want to be in a couple?"

Constance smiles "It is something I have wanted for a while now, and little Phoebe does need a father figure"

"Could I... Be that father figure?"

Constance's eyes light up and she kisses him, wrapping her arms around him "I..I thought you'd never ask"

"I was hoping you would ask.... But my heart could not stop itself"

She nuzzles him "I was afraid you would say no" she says and gently pets Phoebe, who is clapping her paws in excitement and joy

"Well, there is no need to fear."
Aphio sat back down, smiling joyously

Constance smiles as well as she reaches over for some fish and cuts it into tiny pieces for Phoebe

Aphio picked up a piece of fish from a platter, and ate it, savouring the flavour
"Absolutely exquisite..."

Phoebe gladly takes the piece of fish that Constance gave her and purrs loudly as she adorably nibbles on it.
Constance gently strokes her ears "It is a fine catch today, my love"

"It most certainly is. Where are these fish sourced from, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Winifred and her otters catch them for us, they are excellent fishers"

Aphio sits, quiet, eating the fish with a face of appreciation.
"I will have to thank them when I see them"

"they're right over the dear" Constance says, pointing to the group of otters who were nomming on some small fish

Zireous sees that someonne is watching his ever move.... So he felt his stomach rumble... ''I'll show them that you don't need a sword and shield. Heck I was born with the best weapon ! ME....''

Aphio got up, and walked over to the otters, while also being wary of the lizard...
"I'd like to say, this fish is wonderful!"

''Yes that fish is good.'' Zireous walks past you to an emtpy bench only eating a small bit here and their. Watching the rest of the room...

Winifred smiles "thank you kindly Aphio. I see youve made quite an impression on Constance"

"Yes, I guess you could... Put it that way."
He looks down, smiling.

Zireous unlocks a red diary. And starts to write in it, but holding it in a way so no one else can see it's secrets.

Winifred smiles "It's wonderful, she needs a man around to help with little Phoebe, little rascal keeps falling in the river" she chuckles

"Wait... She's done that before?"
Aphio looked at Winifred with concern.

Winifred nods "A couple of times, yes. She's just a little playful kitten Aphio, they're clumsy. But My otters and i have always been there to rescue to her"

"Good... Thank you. I shall have to keep a close eye on her."

Winifred nods, "Good idea, maybe show her some areas around the abbey that isn't close to the water, where she can play. Don't get me wrong, my otters and I love the little girl, but she's a kitten, not an otter" she chuckles "She doesn't belong in the water"

Zireous stops writeing to listen to the chat.

A sleek, young white tigress sees Zireous from across the room and keeps an eye on him

"She shall be safe. I will make sure of it."
Aphio then returned to constance.

Constance smiles as she stroked the sleeping kitten's ears, Phoebe had fallen asleep, curled up in her lap. She leans over and kisses him

He sat down, and lovingly looked over pheobe
"She will be safe. I will not allow her to fall into the water again."

Constance nuzzles Aphio "i know dear heart, thank you" she continues to stroke the kitten's fur.

Zireous softly chuckles to himself.

The tigress walks to him "Hey there, is something funny?"

''Why yes something is. Why do you ask?'' he speaks calmly and looks into eyes with a smile.

She smiles back "oh, well it is just good to see some laughter still in the abbey, so, prey tell, what is so funny?"

''Well when you were talking, it gave me a flashback of my good moments as a child, even if their weren't that many.So that is what was funny.''

The Tigress lets out a murr and flicks her tail, "I see, well how are you enjoying the feast?"

'Well not to be rude, but it all taste the same. Since I lose the power to taste when I was 14. But overall I like what you have done.''

She smiles "well, its sad that you lost the ability to taste, but it's nice to be complimented none the less"

''But your never going to hear me complain of the food.''

The tigress lets out a murr again and sits down next to him, "So..is there a mrs Zireous?"

''Why no.... i'm single why do you ask?''

The tigress smiles "Oh no reason, though it's a shame a cutie like you is wihtout love

blushes ''Well you know thats me. For you, say I heard something about protecting someone. Who is this person you speak of?''

"Oh you mean little Phoebe? yeah, we all look after her. She's a little kitten who's parents died getting her here." the tigress says
