Title: Otherkin/Therians and Furries combined!
Post by: deervix on January 17, 2015, 12:05:16 AM
Hi I'm Vix and I'm deerkin. There is a difference between furries and otherkin, and I'm both! Although I'm deerkin, my frusta is also a deer. I'm a part of the furry fandom, and choose to show my kintype through my fursona. If there are any of you that are like me, this is the chat for you! :D

I'm like that as well. My kin types are a five tailed arctic kitsune and a white tiger so my sona is a mix of the two :3

My kin type is also my fursona. I have a second sona, but she isn't a kin type. I just made her for fun

My kintype is also my Sona. I feel pgantom wings, plumage and feathers. The only difference between my kin/therian self and my fursona is that my fursona is probably way more colourful.
i think My dinosaur/bird phase actually took over my phsyci, or it was never a phase anyway

my kin type is a norwegian forest cat. i case you don't know, that is a breed of housecat. when referring to it, i call it arrow, so people know if i am talking about my human or cat self. my fursona is a jaguar. i feel phantom ears and tail. i have involuntary mental shifts at school  xd. it happens when i am in a stressful social situation. or when someone scares me, i scratch them. i have another therian friend, and she is a wolf. she is the only one i try to shift around. i have gotten some of my involentary shifts under control, but some tips would be nice. XP

I consider myself a deerkin + furry too, I use being a deerkin whenever I'm tired of life (which isn't too often anymore tbh) I express it through my Deermin sona too
Often I would put one of my hats on and clip pens to it (as a substitute for antlers since I didn't have any)
If my sona wasn't tiny I'd consider getting a fursuit maybe

I don't know how to keep my post going ._.

My kintype is a timber wolf, it's interesting that people mistake (or, mistook?) otherkin/therian for furry! I certainly remember making a Venn diagram back in the day to help to explain the difference ...

I frequently feel phantom ears and a tail, and I enjoy heading out to the local woods and stalking around on the balls of my feet. (Sometimes, if I'm alone, I might even howl ... Though not often at all, it's quite embarrassing!)

It's nice to see that a lot of furs are also Otherkin.  <3

Still otherkin/therian here. I’ve discovered after a lot of years that my kintype is a wolf, through and though. I’m always shifted though, and always feel phantom wings - I believe my secondary type is a dragon, because I feel super connected to those as well.
