Title: Crocodilians
Post by: Telos on October 30, 2014, 11:11:31 PM
I feel like there just aren't enough of us here.
There was a "reptilians" thread, but it's been dead since March, and the "alligators" one was even older.
So, I feel mildly justified in making this topic.

Allow me to introduce myself!
I'm Telos, the gharial/gavial! (Not a hybrid, just one animal with two different names.  I personally prefer "gharial.")
To be precise, my species is Gavialis gangeticus, and for those who aren't familiar with these wondrous reptiles (read: nearly everyone), gharials are fish-eating, critically endangered crocodilians native to India.  Their most recognizable feature is, by far, the needle nose.

Is anyone else on this forum a crocodilian?  Alligators, crocodiles, caimans, other gharials, even prehistoric ancestors--anybody?

Hello Telos!
I am a female crocodile, a Nile crocodile. This crocodile is one of the most aggressive ones. It is very big and eats nearly all the time or sleeps for hours. Night time is hunting time! His favourite food is mostly fish. But the crocodile eats big animals, too. Elephants, zebras, antilopes, birds and so on.

Maybe there is a crocodilian who wants to write a little bit with me?
