The Dragon Riders of Pern series, spanning about 14 books I think, is one of my most favorite sci-fi series of all time. I was wondering if anyone here has read any of those books? I'm only up to the book The White Dragon, but I know generally what happens.
If you have read the series, or part of it, what is your favorite concept about it? Favorite characters? Favorite Hold? We can generally discuss anything about it here.
Ruth, the White Dragon, and his rider Jaxom are my favorite characters thus far.

The books were published out of order from when they take place in the story line, sadly :(
