(Ok it's been forever since i've basically done anything with the serious rp threads, besides mod if even. So i'm starting one. If your familiar with Doom the game or movie, doesn't matter which this is probably something similar to it. Anywho, anyone can join, this takes place in pretty much current times. maybe a bit farther into the future. Anywho, the story takes place in a city, in a corner with a convenience store. I don't care who really joins, just no magic,,, or at least "VERY" little. ANd there's been alot of weird reports going around suspicions, myths, etc.)
Rhakshi was working late one night in the shop. Unlike the hustle and bustle of the day, the nights were deadly silent, as if the city had been completely abandoned, only the sounds of the alleys echoeing and the sounds of police sirens were ripping through the night. Along with the occasional horrors spreading through the citiy, rumors of mysterious deaths, dissappearances, mutations, and sightings. There was good reason not to keep on the street, at least not at night. Rhakshi was on night shift or on "hell" shift as he liked to call it. He always thought he should quit though, but with rent and how hard a decent job was to get around here, he continued to do his job. Mopping up the floors he stared up at the windows, although the store was light the outside made it seem darker then night. Rhakshi sighed looking at the time, two more hours to go. He wished at least someone would come, but no one ever did, not since the incident from UAC. Rhakshi gave another dejectful sigh and turned on the radio, trying to create some noise to calm his nerves.
The Radio blurted out in half static
    "After a recent attack on Cedar street, more cops have been sent out on night duty, the Citie's council of security is putting a curfew up for all citizens,any citizens walking on the streets after 12:00 will be questioned by authorities., amung these strange attacks are even stranger killings, wounds found on necks, people dying for unkown reasons, or dissappearing-"
Rhakshi quickly turned off the radio, causing him more fear then comfort. Shaking a little he took a soda from the fridge and sat down, doing whatever he could to calm his nerves. He sighed, but only to get jumped by a noise from down the street. Since he was a panther fur, he was able to hear very well. The sound was coming closer and closer, as it started to rain hard on the deathly silent city.

The door to the store burst open with the clatter of shaking glass, and a distressed looking tiger fur tumbled in. His fur was sopping wet from the torrential rain outside, and blood and water dripped from his claws. He clutched his left arm in agony. A bloody gash was plainly visible through his torn shirt.
The harried tiger’s wide eyes raced around the store, and he panted, “Antibiotics... I need antibiotics... Some of this blood... is mine...†Receiving no response from the stunned cashier, he made his way through the store and ransacked the medicine aisle. After medicating and bandaging his wound, he walked back to the front of the store.
“Listen,†he said glancing at the cashier’s nametag, “Rhakshi, do you have a back door out of here? There are THINGS out there, not human, not animal. I don’t even know if they are humanOID. I just met up with one and was able to fight it off. I don’t know if I killed it or just slowed it down, and I really don’t want to stick around to find out. So, what about it?â€ÂÂ

sitting in an alley, i have full view of whats going on. terror, and these monsters. i take out my katana and stroke it. my time will come soon. tramp. thats what they called me. humans don't know anything. i was the head of the snow foxes, until humans came and destroyed us. now im the last one. pitiful. they didn't even leave a thank you card. a running tiger fur snaps me out of my thoughts and into reality. well, might as well check it out anyway. so i get up and walk in through the back.

the stunned Rhakshi looked up as the tiger ransacked the place and asked for a back door, unsteadily he replied to him
"oh yes, but it's for emplo-"
Before Rhakshi could even finish the sentence, another fur came in through the back. Rhakshi quickly took out a shotgun from the bottom of the desk and cocked it.
"Ok what in the name of fur is going on!"

The tiger fur held up his one good paw while his injured left arm remained limp.
"Look mister. I didn't mean any trouble. Here, I'll pay for the supplies."
He slowly reached into his pocket and threw a wad of crumpled and wet bills on the counter before continuing.
"It seems I may have misjudged this place. Maybe I would be safer back outside and just let the two of you talk this out."
Despite his words, the tiger fur remained motionless, too stunned to move toward the door.

Rhakshi took the wad of bills and sighed,
"Look sorry, i'm just a bit more jumpy these days"
Rhakshi tilted his head at the stunned tiger pondering what caught his attention. The rain continued to downpour onto the windows and hte occasional lightening would flash, looking outside there was only dark. Rhakshi swore something was out there, walking towards the window he stared out. After a couple long seconds, and complete silence, lightening flashed and a large bulky fleshy creature on all fours with huge jaws was staring back at him. The creature growled and broke through the glass gnashing it's teeth everywhere trying to get a hold of anyone or anything. When it charged it had knocked Rhakshi to the ground.

reacting quickly, i pull out my katana and hold it to the creatures throat. "if you have a will to live, step away" the creature remains motionless, but eyes the katana. quckly in a sweeping motion i sever its head

The creature falls back a bit, snarling dripping blood everywhere, but moving it's head back towards the thing that had just caused damage to it. Getting back up it let out a chilling roar , obviously it didn't care too much about pain nor fear. tackling the snow fox to the ground, swiping away her katana, it bit at her limbs and face trying to get a hold of her throat.

The horrid creature hovered over the snow fox, ready to sink its claws deep into her flesh. Fortunately, the tiger finally staped out of his stunned state, and his predator instincts kicked in. He intercepted the beast's attack with a lightning quick pounce, and the two went barreling into an aisle. They exchanged a flurry of claw strikes until the creature once again crouched menacingly over his target.

i grab my katana and pull medical supplies out of my pack. i retreat to a corner and try to heal the wounds. i hold my paw up to the wounds and they both glow with the power of my lost tribe. the wounds heal. i get back up and attempt to drag the creature off of the tiger fur.

Rhakshi woke up under a pile of debris, in the other half of the store he heard screams and snarls. Rhakshi grabbed the shotgun lying next to him and ran over to where the beast was. Training his shotgun to the beat's head, it attempted to tackle Rhakshi before he could shoot. In the creature's midjump it was shot through the head and fell to the ground. The creature layed on hte ground, dead, and twitching slightly. Rhakshi breathed heavily, unerved of what just happened.
"you two alright?"

"I.. I think so. that was close." *i glow with the purest light, the light of Hikari, or the Holy Light. my outfit suddenly changes to the outfit of a skilled ninja* "woah. didn't know that would happen. how about you, tiger fur? you alright?"

"I've been better," the tiger replied. "Looks like I have a few more wounds that need bandaging up, but I'll live."
The tiger slowly and painfully tried to stagger to his feet.
"What the heck is that glowing thing you're doing anyway?"

" i didn't know if it would ever happen. in my tribe it happened when you change form a child into a hunter or in my case a ninja assassin." *walks over to tiger fur, and does the healing thing with her paw on some of his wounds.* "what's your name?"

The tiger nearly recoiled at the sudden display of magic.
"What the... You're going to have to teach me that trick. Oh, people call me Pulse. I DJ at a club downtown. Look, I appreciate what you're doing, but are you sure it's safe here? And what about the store manager? You know he does still have a gun, right?"

"i am aware. right now i am not sure of anything... as for the magic, its hikari tribe magic, but i might be able to teach you other things. for now thought, we are safe. the non return of one of their kin tends to weaken their self defense, because they know we are not to be messed with. *smiling* another bit of Hikari magic is to be able to tell what people are feeling, or thinking once in a while."

Rhakshi ignored the other two for a bit, wondering to the hole in the wall in the front of the store as it continued to down pour. Due to all the rain it was hard to see in the dark, even for a panther. He wondered back to the creature that was now lying on the ground dead and motionless. He studied the creature trying to figure out what it was, some sort of dog, a demon? His right hand was pulsing from the event, which it normally had done once in a while, he didn't know why, it started doing that ever since the UAC incident about 2 weeks ago.

*gets up and wanders over to the back door. i open it and peek out. my tail starts twitching excitedly, for there was nothing out there that I could see, hear or sense. i walk outside and wash the blood off my katana, all the while still on guard even though i know that we're safe... for the night.*

Pulse climbed to his feet and gathered his senses. The store was now a wreck with toppled shelves and products everywhere, a large hole in the wall with rain pouring in, and a dead monsterous body lying on the floor. It didn't feel like a safe place to spend the night, but the other two seemed intent on remaining. He could take his chances on his own out in the dark rain, but he knew that there was safety in numbers. He decided to stay.
There wasn't much that Pulse could do, so he decided to clean up a bit. He dragged the monster's carcus out the back door and threw it in the alley. "Let the rats eat it," he muttered to himself.

* i withdraw from the alley* "eew."

Rhakshi looked as even the rats ran away from the creatures grotesque body. Seeing that the store was no longer a safe place to stay, he asked if anyone knew of a safer haven to spend the night.

"my cave" i say simply, even though i know that i haven't been there since god knows when. still, no one could get in, you had to have the sign my tribe to get in, and i was the last one.

"A cave? In the middle of the city? You have got to be kidding. And if it's outside town, we'd never make it."

"hmph. suit yourself" *walks out into the alley, pulls up the manhole, and jumps in, and you hear foot steps getting fainter.*

"why have a sign when you could blow through the cave wall >.>"
Rhakshi shrugged and followed, dropping down into the sewer. He runs up to her
"You realise that they knocked down that cave years ago right? After it was condemned"

"it usually looked kinda knocked down anyway, but if it truly is and i cant fix it, we're still safer down here than in your shop." *body starts to glow, lighting the path down the sewer.*
(yea sorry about the magic, but its the way my tribe was)

Pulse tried to remind himself that there was safety in numbers. "Hey! Wait for me!" he yelled as he jumped down into the sewers.

*stops and turns around, then smiles* "knew you'd come to your senses" :D

"Yeah, well, it's either this or try to make it back to my place through the streets."

so true. *keeps walking, takes a few turns, ect...ect...*

Rhakshi and the others continued walking down the sewer pipes until they reached a room with a large platform and some stares, and a generator. There was a construction (or maintenence worker whatever) standing close to one. Rhakshi for some reason felt unerved by the whole thing.

"What's up Rhakshi? You seem tense."

Rhakshi surprised somehow from Pulse, replied
"I don't know, something just seems odd around here. "
Rha walked up to the maintenence worker and asked
"hey do you know what's going on around here?"
The maintenence worker didn't even react to the comment.

*i walk up to the worker, and tap him on the shoulder. he makes a slight movement and starts muttering to himself.* "hey! HEY!!... fine then be that way"

Rhakshi jumped as the worker let out a snarl turned around and charged at the three of them, wielding a wrench in his hand.

*whips out katana so fast u can barely see it.*
"bring it on"

Pulse returned the workers snarl and leaped forward at his head. He landed deftly on the possessed man's shoulders, his hind and fore claws digging deeply into the man's flesh. With an agile roll and push, he dismounted and landed on all fours behind the worker, causing the worker to lose his balance and stagger directly into the snow fox's katana.

*while he staggered into my katana i let the blade get in deep, then i twisted it so it created a bigger gash, and the blade came out through the side of his torso.*

Rhakshi knocks his foot against the dead body of the apparently possessed worker. It bothered Rha that this creature did not scream or yell at the time of it's death, as it was laying on the floor, it's blood was slowly flowing out it. it's blood was more of a chunky syrup if anything, slowly oozing out of the body. Grossed out he quickly turned the other way.
"That's not natural,,"

*nods head in agreement, then says a quick prayer over the body.*

Pulse crouched down and sniffed at the fowl stench emanating from the corpse. The scent of blood and disease mingled with something entirely unfamiliar, something unnatural. The tiger rose and stared at Rhakshi.
"You're right," he said, "I've never smelled anything like this before. It's not fresh, and it's definitely not human." He then looked at his blood soaked claws. The thick substance stuck to his fur like syrup and made him feel uncomfortable.
"We should start heading towards that cave of yours," he directed to the snow fox. "I'd like to clean this mess off as soon as possible."

*pulls out a bottle of water* "wash them off with this for now. we'll be there shortly, i hope."

"Much appreciated," Pulse said as he accepted the water and began to wash his paws. "You know, I never caught your name, and I only know Rhakshi here because he's still wearing that silly name badge. What an odd group we make."

*laughs* my name is vixen, and yes we make an odd group but we seem best when working together. all i can say is i hope i've earned the trust of my companions."

Rhakshi, while the other two were talking, his mind seemed to phase out of reality, everything around him was pulsating for a couple of seconds, he seemed to be sweating in ways he never thought he could, his held felt tormented and on fire, feeling like it was gonna collapse on itself. And suddenly everything stopped, he woke up on all fours, his claws bared and his muscles tightened, somehow his shirt had been ripped apart also. He looked back up towards the two.

omg *staring at rha.* "wha........what.......what was......that? *looks extremely scared, and feels it too. :peek: "rha.... are you ok? *takes out cloth, gets it wet, wrings it, and presses it on his forehead. kneels down.* what happe..... *falls over, feeling like my head is going to explode, im screaming like i never screamed before, and i just want out.*

Nyx stared out at the two felines and one fox from a dark part of the sewer. Even as a dragoness, she didn't feel like taking on any of the creatures she'd witnessed wandering the streets... They seemed wrong in a sense. Her tail swayed with slight interest as she watched the three conversate. She'd been down there by herself for a few days now, feeling more safe in the sewer than above ground due to the increasing amount of mutilations she'd heard over the radios and TVs. Unfortunately, being down there for so long alone had taken its toll on the dragoness both mentally and physically. Her mind seemed distorted in accordance to others; paranoid and stressed. She debated on whether or not to approach the others, carefully weighing the pros and cons of her situation in her mind.
Her appearance was not too appealing. Her jeans were stained with unknown substances along with her baseball T-shirt that seemed wrinkled and grungy. She also looked a little thinner than usual due to lack of food. Nyx hadn't been able to go to her place to get clean clothes or food since the night she'd witnessed one of her friends get murdered by some.... monster. Taking in a deep breath and releasing an exausted sigh, she took a step out into the dim light.

*the effect was immediate. i stopped screaming, and lay panting on the floor, staring at a great dragoness. i noticed the grubby clothes, but was transfixed by the shinyness and beauty of the scales. slowly, i spoke.* "what are you doing in a place like this?" * i tried to get up, yet my muscles still werent over the pain. i fell to the floor.*

Nyx gazed curiously at the fox and reached down to help her up. Her ear slightly twitched as she heaved the vixen to her feet. I can't back out of this now... the dragoness thought to herself. Being in the light, she noticed how dirty she had gotten down here... She didn't like it. Her purple-ish black scales gleamed against the dim glow. At least they managed to stay clean. Nyx shifted her eyes to the corpse that lie in the floor, then to the tiger and panther that stood before her. She scratched the back of her head ans shifted her wings uneasily as she took a shot at forming a sentence. "I-I've been down here for a few days, I think. Lost track of time after my cell phone went dead." She lowered her icy purple eyes.

Rhakshi looked up at the two, looking towards the strange new dragoness who had arrived. Tilting his head he asked
"who are you?"
Waiting for her reply he picked up the shotgun from before, checking the ammo he counted three more bullets. This uncomforted him in the fact that if they meet anymore of those things they probably wouldn't have an easy time killing it with only three shots.

As if awaking from a dream, Pulse recoved from his stunned state. What he had just witnessed seemed like it took an eternity to process even though the events had only lasted a few seconds. The possessed human still twitching where he lay dead upon the floor. Both of his companions writhing in pain and screaming as though rabid or possessed themselves. The sudden appearance of a draconic form from the darkness. It was enough to make any man freeze in terror.
But now the brief nightmare was over, and Pulse knew that if he was going to live through this night, he would have to gain control over his fears. He had a sinking feeling that he had yet to experience true horror. The female dragon, while ominous at first, seemed to be well-intentioned. Perhaps he and his companions had a new ally.
Pulse took a deep breath to clear his head, and he walked over to help Rhakshi to his feet. Noting a concerned look on the panther's face, he asked, "Not to ask the obvious, but what's wrong? Are you all right?"

"My name's Nyx." She said trying to stay calm. "It's a good thing you killed that... That thing, because I think he was beginning to figure out I was down here. Thanks." Nyx shifted her wings uneasily as she heard a noise a small distance away in the sewer's tunnel. She'd gotten so paranoid down here that even the slightest noise made her jump.

* i looked at nyx, and noticed her jump at the noise.* "its all right, if anyone else is down here, we can take em." * i looked in my bag and pulled out a few handguns. i passed them around to everyone so they all had one. then i took out a small but lethal looking gun, and attached it to the belt around my hip.*

Pulse examined the gun in his paw. The weight of it felt odd, heavy. He had never held a gun before, and he felt uneasy holding one now. The crudeness and violence inherent in the weapon seemed to go against everything that he believed in. Still, he knew it to be an effective weapon, and claws alone were not going to keep him alive long.
Pulse pocketed the firearm and turned to Vixen. "What the hell are you doing carrying around all this firepower anyway? And why didn't you tell us about it earlier?"

"well jeez im sorry... i was in shock that we would actually have a use for them.. i was in shock i wasn't thinking right. and what was i doing carrying them? i always have stuff that we might need. im prepared for the worst." *at the end of my sentence i finished loading the gun.*

Nyx eyed her gun as well, not liking the feel for it. She usually preferred to stay out of things of that sort... But was sure she'd need it if she were to encounter one of those... Things. She fumbled with the gun until she was able to slip it into the hip of her pants, mimicking Vixen.

Rhakshi looked towards the others, when pulse asked him what was wrong he didn't know how to answer. Deciding to ignore the question he motioned for everyone to advance in the sewer, trying to stray away from this nightmare.
"urr,, um,, let's continue shall we? This place is giving me an odd feeling."

Nyx nodded in agreement with Rha and curiously asked, "So what are your names? I know Vixen's."

looks over to Nyx,
"My names Rhakshi Akscythe, never caught the other two's names though"
That's when the cavern part of the sewer that they were in went completely dark, even for Rha's keen sense of vision light had vanished through the room. Three seconds of pure silence went through the room for a couple of seconds.
"uhh what happ-"
Rhakshi was interrupted by low pitched shrieking originating from seemingly nowhere as the walls streaked with flourescent orange colors emiting off the walls.

Nyx jumped and clumsily grabbed for her gun. She was frightened... She didn't want to see any of her new companions get murdered like one of her closest friends did. She took in a deep breath and exhaled to try to keep her head. Panicking would solve nothing.

* i pulled out my gun in one hand, and my katana in the other. i looked at the walls, waiting for something to happen.*

Rhakshi looked around as all the noises were happening, among the lights, four pentogram shaped ones appeared in the four corners of the room along wiht it spawning each a demonic creature each one planning on killing them. Expecting them to leap at him, he backed away a bit, but instead they all shot a fiery plasma substance through their hands at them.

Rhakshi ducks as the glowing projectile skims over his head, after the creatures all shot something, they all immediately charged with sharp blade like hands trying to cut through the four's flesh. Rhakshi raised his shotgun unloading a shot into one of the creatures's chest, the creature was drawn back a little, but then it charged again and got shot in the face. The creature fell down bleeding everywhere, Rhakshi turned around to face the other three.

*i plunge my katana into the spot where the heart would be, and shoot at the same time. after i shot, i twisted my wrist and pulled so the katana comes out the side. theres two left. i charge.*

Nyx ducked, being narrowly missed by those strange beams. She held up the hand gun and began shooting on of the creatures that was charging. She missed it at first, but then emptied the rest of her ammo on the thing's head... It fell to the floor, it's body convulsing until it lay still.

Rhakshi held the shotgun sideways to block as the creature tackled at him to bare down it's claws into his throat. Repelling it off of him with the shotgun he beat it down with the handle of the gun. The creature more ticked off then in pain (if it felt any for that matter) got up and snarled again only to have a face full of lead as Rhakshi loaded the last two rounds into it.
