my school seems to be different... a larger percentage of us are furries o.O we should really start a furry club, there'd be about forty of us XD

FORTY?! Did I read that right?... Wow, and I thought my school was crawling with furries. Most of them are in the closet but I'm friends with the rest of the other five known/unknown furries/scalies at my school. Sytex being one of them.

Jeez Kanga, you dont know how lucky you are. Im the only fur at my school as far as I know. Not that im open about it though...i dont think anyone would want to they would get eaten alive...

I didn't know about furries until after I graduated high school in 2010. I also then found out one of my best friends from there was a fox furry, but he had no idea what a fursona was or Fur Affinity. There's also another girl from my school who isn't a fur, but seems interested in them, plus her uncle is a dragon fur, FA porn artist and former fursuiter.
So, only one fur I know IRL, and he doesn't really seem to know much about it or anything anyway.

I know NONE that live around here. And that sucks, cuz I have no RL friends, so I'm pretty much a hermit right now. xD
I'd love to find some local furs that I could hang out with. :P

The problem with where I am is that no-one knows what a furry is....and if they've even heard of furries, then they've heard it wrong.
Maybe one or two, but these few are more into the anime side than anthros.

Kinda the same deal with me. I vaguely knew one guy in high school who was open about it, but we never really spoke. At school today, I have no clue if there are other furries, but I'm not very open about it either so I may never know for sure XD

I met one not too long ago. He's a nice enough guy, we really hit it off as buds ^_^. We chat on MSN and he comes to see me every now and then.
As I always say, one friend is better than no friends :3.

Yeah I converted a few then they converted a few and so on, so in person I know about 15 or so, but only around 9 are really into the fandom.

I found out that an old friend from school was a fur! xD
He's the last person you would expect to e a furry, and its good to know that there's at least one other local one around. :P

Never been able to find people who appeared furry, and i have not any reactions om my nylon collar i allways wear. (only people asking why i wear a collar and the occasional "are u a furfag?")
Wish there were more furry's around here, since the only furry interaction i have is online.. might need to visit eurofurence this year.

ive met many through the Eastern FurMeets, and there's a bunch at my college (Kutztown University). So i'd say roughly...20-30?
there was only one in my highschool and she was one of...THOSE furries...the ones who make people hate all the regular ones...so she was the reason for my furry hate up until this fall, so yeah ^^;

I actually live with my pack pretty successfully. There's 3 pack leaders and 7 members in the house and roughly a dozen or so members that live independently. We were shocked when we found two other packs that were doing the same thing. We actually get along pretty damn well despite a few privacy issues... I think everyones seen everyone naked by now.

There are no less than 4 at my college, although in my high school there were none.
those are the only ones i regularly see, the rest i havn't seen in ages.

I don't know any furries IRL. Then again, I also don't really hang out with people. Usually just me and a computer after commuting home from college (ignoring my parents of course, who undoubtedly would, or do, find this whole furry business silly and/or weird).

in real life? Uh....roughly 60-70 most of them are local Ontario furs....which I see regularly at furmeets and others are ones I see 2-3 times a year at fur cons...though if it wern't for my boyfriend I'd only know about 40

Unless I've already said this, I never stopped to count the number of furries I've met over the last two years (there are so many of them!) although the majority of those I met are British.

I'm like the youngest O.o They are all in mid 20's and 30's which is actually pretty funny XD One of them even said that he was furry long before I was born o.o But this community is so cool :D

Unfortunately, I can't attend this con :( I don't have the time and the money (could have the ride though as many furries from my group are going)... Though I'll be there for What The Fur here in Montreal on the first weekend of June (will be my first con ever ^-^). But I'm getting off the subject x3 ... Maybe we'll be able to see us someday Furvall o.o

I've been in contact with a guy who's in charge of scheduling the local meet ups. They don't happen often and have since only happened on days that I work, but hopefully soon. I would like some IRL furry friends. Perhaps I'll convert my boyfriend, but I don't think that's going to happen. I did get him to play Earth Eternal when it was online. Maybe one day.

A good number, I suppose. Not as many as I would like though. Ive been to a few furry house parties and stuff, so I met a lot of furs there. I don't know that many suiters though, surprisingly. I only know of about 5 or 6 suiters that I can actually call my friends

I know two.
One I met at a Yu Gi Oh tournament, then found out he was a fur when I bumped into him on a forum.
The other was a guy in the year below me in forensics. He had a "furry" look about him, so I went up to him and simply said "You look like a furry", he replied "I am a furry". So we hugged.

two. A close friend I didn't recruit and another I recruited whom has their goal being set upon getting a snow leopard fur suit.

Recently, my best friend from high school told me his gf (from the same school and I had classes with her) was a kitty fur when I asked. So now that makes it two (aforementioned best friend being the other). We can say three once our other friend, Amber, ever decides to take her interest in furries to a new level. Her uncle is a dragon fur that used to fursuit, so I kind of know another fur vicariously through Amber I guess.
Although, I don't know if my best friend's gf is really a true furry, and is just saying she's one just so she can be closer to her bf via sharing similar interests. Knowing her intelligence level, I doubt she really knows what it really is. Both of them aren't too bright to be honest.

2 people who told me that they are but are not big furries they just like yiff and in terms of like people who are open about being furries and go fursuiting I know none and it bothers me, I really want to meet other furries so bad sometimes I feel like im alone

i started telling close friends about it and went well, after what happened with my mom since she gave me the worst answer ever, i decided to just show this to everyone, without letting any critique bother me, most of the people probably everyone on the street will look at you with a face like <.< T_T >.> and think ~whats wrong with him/her?~ after that they'll just turn around. So theres no need to hide who/what you are ^_^

I always wonder how many more furs I could meet if I could just somehow strike up some sort of conversation that eventually leads into that area somehow.
I found out my only IRL fur friend by just asking him over a YouTube private message one day because I swore that he was a furry after seeing a topless anthro bunny in his FaceBook photos.

Wit the awesome Double meet that I had yesterday with us (Montreal) and Qubebec, I'd say that I now know about 15 new furs :D Which actually takes me to about 45 furries that I know /and/ met in real life :D

I know a bunch of furries IRL, actually. Two of my best friends are furs, and I met them through another furry site. They live about a ten minute drive from where I am.
From the same site, I've met so many other amazing people from all over Toronto. There are about 30 that I talk to/see on a regular basis.

I don't know a single person who's a fur IRL. At least no one who's open about it. I tend to keep quiet about it as well. Otherwise others would interrogate me about it.

I wish I knew more I would be so happys :) but unfortuneatly the only one I know have their own clique and avoid everyone they looked at me and laughed going "dont suck up to us" even though all I said was "hi so you guys are furs want to hang out sometime" ughh I was so imbarased tht noy only did most the people at the school want nothing to do with me but other furs thought tht too. I probobly would have killed myself if it was not for my friends like 8 people but still they are rockin people:D

Used to be one, now make it three. One of my good friends from high school got into a relationship with a furry while she was a non-fur. The furry converted her, though, so that adds a second IRL fur for me. And if I ever meet her mate, then three. My friend's a cat/fox and her mate is a bunny.

Hmm, I'm going to argue semantics here and say that I know several dozen, because I assume that they are real furries on their computers and phones, not constructs of my imagination.
