Tweak and I are now allowing any of our forum members purchase advertising space on the forum. This advertising space can be used for artists, conventions, meet-ups, etc. The cost is $5 for a month or a 75,000-view count (whichever is longest).
Please note: This $5 payment is not considered a donation and does not count toward receiving Donator status and perks.
There is currently one ad spot in the upper right of the forum under "News" where the ads will appear. Multiple ads will be rotated within the one spot. If we gather more interest in advertising, additional advertising spots may be added in the future.
Banners will not be accepted unless they meet the following requirements:
- JPG, GIF, or PNG format
- 200kb or less in file size
- Exactly 300 pixels wide and 90 pixels high
- Must abide by forum rules
- Animated banners are allowed, but animations should be subtle - not unnerving. No rapidly flashing images.
- Cannot show or specifically advertise for adult material
- Exception: If you are a member of the Adult Area of the forum and wish to advertise mature/adult material, you may do so, but the adult ads will only show up inside the restricted Adult Area. Adult ads should still be tasteful - not explicit.
If your banner does not meet the guidelines listed above, we will tell you what needs to be fixed. You can then edit it or just make a new banner and re-submit. Payment will be taken once your banner has been accepted.
To submit an advertisement, send Tweak or me a PM with your banner image and a URL (link) that the banner will direct people to when clicked.
Don't know how to send an image in a PM?
Images can be directly attached to PMs, or pasted as an image link.
To attach an image directly to a PM, go to where it says "Attach" under the message text box and simply browse for the file on your computer.
To paste the image as a link, it will need to be uploaded somewhere online so that Tweak and I can access it through a link. Once you upload it somewhere, you can just copy and paste the link into a PM to us.
If you don't already have a way of uploading images, Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/), Imageshack (http://imageshack.us/), and Tinypic (http://tinypic.com/) are three popular and easy-to-use options. Just browse for the image on your computer and click the "upload" button.
After the image finishes uploading, there will almost certainly be a text box listed next to the image that says "Direct Link." That's the link you need to copy and paste into the PM. That's it. :)
