Actually, foxes fall perfectly in as canines. The name 'Vulpine' is quite incorrect as I understand it; While the genus of MOST foxes is 'Vulpes' and not 'Canis' like the majority of canines, ALL canines still fall under the family name: 'Canidae', sub family 'Caninae'. It's not before one step after the subfamily they are split into different genuses.
For a fact, not all Foxes fall under the genus 'Vulpes'; The arctic fox is classed under it's own genus: 'Alopex'. Another example is the Fennec, which some years ago was changed from the 'Fennecus' genus to 'Vulpes'.
And for myself, I'm not exactly fully hybrid, but I suppose I could jump in as well cause of being a mix between 2 different breeds of foxes :3

You mutts don't count D:< ;)

Sain you're not even partially canine o.o

Timmy I googled it prior to making the thread but it showed Vulpine as the first, so I
dk oO. I know they are related so they are probaly the same family but not Genus. I guess I should of put the family.

Well, shortly said, 'Canine' refers to the family/subfamily name rather than the genus.
And as said in earlier post, while the genus 'Vulpes' might hold the most 'true' foxes, there are in fact quite a few breeds outside of said genus that are considered foxes, such as the 'Canis simensis' which was just recently renamed from fox to the 'Ethiopian wolf', yet it's still in some cases referred to as a fox.
