Hiya. I hope more Pokefurs in general show up, for sure. There used to be a decent population, but I am the only one who remains from that era.

Oh yeah, that's pretty new. Ikerochu is probably the first Pokefur on the site, having joined back when it started back in 2006. She's long gone, which is a shame. I mean hell, I joined in early 2011 but only had my Pokesona as a separate character from my main, which was Sytex. Only last year did I make the swap over to having my Pokesona as my main fursona.

Well, I have had my Pokesona since before I was even a furry, technically. I just didn't think using a Pokemon as a primary fursona was all that creative back in the day. Nick Sintari is about as old as Sytex in terms of when they were created, but I kinda realized Sintari was 'more me' than Sytex was. But yeah, this place is pretty old. It used to just be an IMVU modders forum regarding furry mods.

In the other forums I'm also active on, I had change quite a while Pokemon for me as along the way I liked various.
That's awesome to know.
I chose Flareon since it does mix my favorite animal (fox), favorite type (fire), and that I really love the Eevee's (all are in my signature for favorite Pokemon)
Persian and Lieaprd are my other favorites outside the fox/Eevees so when I signed up I had been kind of undecided between a fox or a feline

To be totally honest, the Charmander line was pretty much a definite choice for me when I was making a character. It was and is just my absolute favorite line, period. The Eevees are the cutest goddamn things to ever hit Pokemon, but I'm still mainly a reptile lover. Fluff is just such a good contrast.

I also love the Chamander evolution, great idea for a character.
The Eevees are top favorites of mine.
I myself have been more into furry mammals (felines, canines, mustelids, squirrels, raccoons, meerkats just to name some) - that's how I chose my favorite Pokemon, the ones based on my favorite animals are top favorite mines.

I generally just choose Pokemon with the most creativity and elegance to their design. Sometimes one more than the other. It sometimes leads to me following trends, and other times it leads me away from them. My favorite Pokemon that is not nearly as popular is either Trevenant or Escavalier.

Everyone has their own way of choosing favorites.
I also like many Pokemon that aren't popular and others really hate.
For me the main one is Purugly, or as I love to spell it as 'Purrbeauty'

I have a Bulbasaur pokesona. Used to have a Mew, Torchic, and Persian as well. Bulbasaur fits me the best, so that's the only one I keep around on standby. It and Entei are my top favorites, but I like way more.
It made my day when I got Bulbasaur as my character in Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team. It sucks that they got rid of the quiz in later installations. I like seeing the result.

Ohh, one time I thought about making a character that is part Genesect, part Avenger UCAV... I just don't know all that much about Pokémon anymore, though, and have really fallen out of the series.

Well, this fits in with my Youtube Fursona, as Gaocariomon is a hybrid of Digimon's MachGaogamon and Pokemon's Mega Lucario.

I've played Gates to Infinity a lot as Tepig, and now it's become one of my favorite Pokemon.
I named em Tigs. I'm not sure why, it just sounded good at the time. But I think I might make em my new Pokesona.

My only fursona is an Umbreon, which is also my favorite Pokémon.However, I also love the other Eeveelutions, specially Espeon. I chose this fursona because I wanted to be a bit "different" and "creative", since Pokémon fursonas seem to be quite rare at the forums.

Wolf, I'm the main active PokeFur in the forum - at times I do switch to my normal fox fursona.
I know I seen two more PokeFurs in the snack den, I don't think they have visited this topic yet. One of them is 'Vee (his username is just a question mark) and Shimo as well.

My "real" fursona is a cat, but I also have a pokésona, that I mostly use as an avatar on geeky/videogames websites and forums. And if I ever have the money to make two fursuits, I would probably make a fursuit of my Pokésona as well (or maybe just a normal Pokémon) for manga conventions :D
So, in the Pokémon universe, I would be a Poochyena. I loved this Pokémon at first sight. It is not my favourite Pokémon but definitely the one I relate to the most. We sure are similar in several ways.
I got some pieces of art of my Pokésona, here is an avatar I often use :

So, yeah, basically it's just some random Poochyena, but with blue eyes, a black nose, and the fangs pointing down rather than pointing up. The markings and the overall body shape are similar to in-game Poochies.

One character I have been roleplaying a lot as is becoming my main Pokemon Pokesona: Arthur Pendragon the Chesnaught. Born as a victim of chain breeding (Didn't have 31 IVs in every stat), he was left out in the woods and survived on his own, up until some children earned his trust, helped take care of him and taught him about tea. He began to create his own tea house in the forest to help others survive the winter. During his life in the woods, he helped save a Celebi from Team Flare. As a reward, she crafted a sword for him, called Moonlight Excalibur. Eventually he ended up helping out Champion Cynthia (rped by another player) who was separated from her Pokemon after a storm capsized her boat, and she ultimately added him to her party. He is also mated to a lovely, unique Delphox named Cynder Trick (played by Otter Fuu).

Funny story about that, Sintari's dad was a product of nomadic perfectionists with the same intent. Though my characters play in a Mystery Dungeon setting for the majority of plays, even Pokemon were looking to perfect themselves. So yeah, Nick's dad is 31 across the board, but his family was kicked out for 'insubordinance,' and when his parents couldn't take care of him and survive simultaneously, he had to be taken to an Orphanage as much as they despised cities. So while my Pokesona on his own isn't a product of 'Perfectionist Breeding,' his father was and passed down a great number of those stats. That little tidbit is still a work in progress.

I alternate between them every month
(even months I go with foxy sona Eevee and Flareon - odd months I go with felines Espeon, Purrloin/Liepard)

I've added a trio of characters to my roster aside from Nick Sintari. I've added a Lucario named Arlyn Drefan, a Glaceon named Ciara Byrne and a Lycanroc named Lucifer (see current profile). Some short summaries?
Arlyn is the prankster and funny man of his friends groups. He'll never pass up a chance to make a joke or try and lighten the mood. Reckless and a bit cocky, he's as loyal and sweet as they come but can cause a little bit of trouble as well. He had a rather strife-free life, eventually becoming an Exploration Team leader.
Ciara is someone with noticeable trust issues. Due to family drama that lead to her fleeing her home, nearly being kidnapped and being taken into foster care during her teens, she found herself a bit bitter. She worked hard to become a professional battler, but with fame comes notoriety. She's grown accustomed to the amount of people declaring their love for her and will not let you in until you can prove you're not just another one.
Lucifer was once a tribalistic dweller of the wilds, along with a very dear friend. After some time, that friend was attacked and taken away, and for upwards of twelve years he had assumed her to be dead after having found a scuffle and drops of blood with her footprints having not continued. Distraught and angry, he set out as a Rockruff and evolved into a Lycanroc along the way. He was picked up by a gang full of false promises and worked for them over the course of three years. He found out they lied to him, killed their boss, got framed by angry members. He was arrested but found innocent, with the police fulfilling what the others he met had kept from him. He ended up finding success as an Industrial and Dark Wave musician.

My sona is officially in the works! A Greninja named Neo. I actually have a reference for my reference sheet lol. I'm terrible at art, but I found a page I was able to color just to give the artist an idea of the colors I was wanting. I also posted it in the creative things section of the discord if anyone's interested in checking him out. The artist is doing a reference sheet for me as well as a portrait, so we'll hopefully be able to see the final design soon!
