"Peeping Tom" by Placebo is the longest track at 14:11, but it's one of those songs with the hidden track at the end and a bunch of quiet space in the middle.
"Cicatriz" by The Mars Volta is the genuine longest, at a full 12:29.
Shortest:
"Title" by Emilie Autumn is the shortest track at 0:04, but it's just her saying the name of the album.
"It's Quite Jokes" by John Green is the shortest actual song, at 0:08.

Akbrun- Pandit Shankar 1:24:32 About an hour and a half long and probably the most beautiful Hindu song ever written. The whole song is dedicated to the traveling soul through Brahman.
Driving Of The Year Nail- Leo Kottke 1:24 a beautiful
peice done by Kottke. Very instrumental although a 12- string guitar and a upright bass are the only instrument. Very American sounding.

Piece Of Mind is pawsome too =3 ... Such as The Number Of The Beast, Fear Of The Dark and Seventh Son Of A seventh Son... All epic albums they made but those ones are the most outstandings of this band ^-^

Actually, apparently the longest song on my I-Pod is Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix (15:01). Strangely enough, I'm listening to that song right now, and it's awesome of course :).

Uhhhm, longest is Carnival Of The Animals, a piece ranging from 22 - 30 minutes depending on the orchestra playing. Its comprised of twelve movements. My favorite movement is Aquarium.
The shortest is... Siberian Love Affairs, by diablo swing orchestra, running at 54 seconds + 1 second of silence at the end. Its very instrumental and im not sure if the words are actual words or just muted humming towards the end.

I was reading those as the feet and inches symbols; I've never seen anyone use them to indicate minutes and seconds.

i got told by my personal tutor to write it like that for my dissertation while at uni. i had to put in so many time references that it's just become 2nd nature to me now
