Title: When was the last time you cried?
Post by: NJMike on May 17, 2011, 02:39:53 AM: Kind of a weird topic I know X3 but when was the last time you cried (not counting in dreams)?

The last time I cried was June 23rd, 2010 when I left my high school after graduation. I tried to suppress it so much but it was very difficult to.

The last time I cried was when I was with my ex-mate. Strangely not when we broke up, but when we were together. I cried more when i was with her then when I was without her...

Mostly because I had a huge temper problem, and I was one of those kids who always seemed to cry when he got angry (which would lead to people calling me a crybaby which made me even more angry, which in turn made me cry more; yes it was a vicious cycle). After I hit high school though, I learned to mostly bottle up my emotions. The last time I cried all out was SEVERAL years ago (in either 7th or 8th grade, I think; which would be about '05 or '06). I have come pretty close a couple times due to stress at college, maybe let loose a (manly) tear or two. :P

I think I teared up at a few movies I've seen over the past couple years as well, but I don't really count that, as I assume we're talking about more life related crying, and crying at a movie isn't really due to your own emotions, it's caused by an empathetic response to emotions or events in the movie.

Had a lot of pent up emotions and once I started to let tears out for what upset me last night, I ended up letting out tears for everything I had been holding back. It was very hard crying, so intense that I was coughing and couldn't breathe at a couple points.
Shinzuu and I talked, and he made me feel better after a bit. And then I easily fell asleep. Heh.

Every time I watch Toy Story 3 I cry throughout almost the entire movie. I wind up watching it a lot. Watched it last week. Went through a box of tissues.

This.

The toy story series was one of the things that defined my childhood so seeing a new movie with my favourite characters made me cry with all the memories it brought back.
I'm very nostalgic like that.

It was back in late April, I know that much. But before that occurrence... It had been a whole three years since I had even let a tear trickle down my face.

Yesterday was the last day of the interdisciplinary arts program that I had been in for two years. Two and a half hours a day with these people working towards creating painting and charcoals for our art gallery shows out on Long Island, writing and performing short one act plays, creating modern dances, filming music videos, writing songs as well as performing them, creating long movies about the big questions that we have been struggling with for our entire lives, writing stories to interpret world around us, honing our skills with improvisational exercise, watching films that really take a stand in this world, although mostly foreign, and discussing what relevance that they have in the modern day and in out personal lives, taking trips into New York City to see museums of art, to learn about photography or architecture, and seeing the daring musicals and plays that Broadway has to offer. I have worked closely with the other kids in the program for half of my high school career and they had become more of a family to me than my own family at home. When I had a problem I would call one of them, if I needed help getting something done I would bring it into class and everyone would be so gung-ho to jump in and help. Yesterday was the last day of the program, and as the instructor went around the room we told the class one of our favorite moments, and then he told us how he remembered us for the first time, a friend of my then played a song for all of us, and right then and there we all began to cry, all 29 of us were hugging and crying all over each other until the feeling was still there but we had no more tears to cry. There wasn't one person who was not red in the face. It had been an honor to work with all of them for so long, and now I have to move on to College. High school can go shove it, but that program will always be something special in my heart.

But the weird thing is, that almost immediately I started laughing. Which, to be honest, frightened me. :o And then I felt fine for a few minutes, then stared feeling like crap again. :/

It's hard being so alone and so sad. I'd give anything to have Elliot crawl into my empty cold bed and make life more than just this emptiness. I haven't cried since September 30 2010 I feel to numb to cry.
