Simply put, this is a thread where we post Brainteasers. And then other people have to guess it. Sound simple? Okay, here are the rules.
1: One person posts a Brain Teaser, and then people have to solve the Brain Teaser.
2: The person who correctly guesses the Brain Teaser gets to post their own.
3: Brain Teaser's HAVE to make sense. If I see any bizarro logic like "Man is stuck in a room with no way to get out and the only things in the room are a mirror and a table." Situations like these HAVE to be possible. No "Man looks into mirror and saw what he saw, grabs the saw out of the mirror and cuts the table in half. Two halves make a whole, man jumps through hole and escapes." If I see ANYTHING like that, that person will be banned from the topic for a week.
Anyway, I kind of wanted to make a Brain Teaser based off an idea for an episode of Benny N' Friends that I thought up recently where Conan reveals to Benny that he is actually rather inteligent and is forced to act dumb due to a law passed by a jealous Oni who wants to be the smartest Oni in the world. (Near the end of the episode, Conan may have a reason for acting dumb again, but I haven't thought of a good reason yet.) Sometime in the episode, Conan shows Benny his older and younger brother. Well...
Conan's older brother is named Arther, and Conan's Mother loved to read. What is Conan's younger brother probably named?
-
Merlin? I dunno
-
Incorrect.
Think about it: Arthur is the older brother, Conan is the brother in between, and their mother loved to read. What is probably the name of the youngest son?
Hint: Try thinking of some one who was made famous for their books.
-
Probably something beginning with B but I dunno what.
-
Oh oh! Is it Doyle!?
-
Oh oh! Is it Doyle!?
Correctamundo! Conan and his brothers are named after famous detective novelist Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Your turn.
-
Alright I couldn't think of anything else at the moment so here is this one
There is a house and all 4 sides of the house are facing south. Where is the house located?
-
Hmmm, that's a melon scratcher. I actually don't know.
-
Either magnetic south (does that exist)
or it's a flat house/house with one side
-
Lol no there is no magnetic south
And it's not a flat house
-
The centre of the earth?
-
Nope! Not there either!
-
yay for Rob! You got it!
-
North pole? the walls are facing outwards? or all across the equator, you didn't say how big it was
EDIT: Damn, too slow :P
-
If you're standing at the direct center of the north pole there is nowhere to go but south.
-
get a friend to keep changing the posistion of the switches and work it out from there.
-
Video camera? Or is that cheating?
-
I can think of 3 possible answers.
1: take the switches with you as they are wireless or have long wires
2: follow the wiring through the wall upstairs
3: trick question, impossible.
Ive got nothing else :/
-
leave one switch onfor a few hours then, turn it off. then turn one on. leaving he last one off.
go upstairs and feel for the hot bulb that is off, then for the cold one that is off, then the last one will be the one that you turned and left on
-
Woo! ermm, I can't think of one
ooh! okay I have one
You cant keep this until you have given it.
what is it?
-
Is it a promise?
-
Mmm, it's not the answer I have here, but I'll give you it. it's pretty much the same thing :3
the actual answer was : Your word
-
I was thinking something along those lines. Grr you beat me too it
-
Yay! I'm smart!
Alright, a riddle in a poem:
in white walls as smooth as silk,
lies a guard, light as milk.
no keys are there to this stronghold,
yet thieves get in, and steal the gold.
what am I?
-
I think I got it. Is it an egg?
-
Yes, it is. Good job.
-
Hot dang! that guard line threw me off a bit.
ok, Ive got one.
A man was found dead in a barn. He was hanging by a rope on a rafter 15 feet off the ground. The walls of the barn are smooth and cannot be climbed. The only thing in the barn besides him is a shovel. How did he die?
-
Dig down and pile dirt up so he could stand on it?
-
but then where is the dirt pile? nope, but youre on the right track
-
Stabbed the shovel into the dirt, stood on the shovel, and then kicked it over?
-
shovel is too short to reach the rafter with him standing on it.
Riku had the right idea with a pile.
-
DO the pile thing, tie the rope to the rafter and then put the dirt back, then hang?
-
rope is too short to reach afterwards.
what can you make a pile of that will go away on its own?
-
I saw this on Case Closed before. There was a nearby waterfall or a water pump somewhere. He fills the barn from a window in the top with a board to make a make-shift current, then quickly enters the barn somewhere and floats up to the rafters, then fastens the noose around his neck. The barn has crevices and holes in it, but the barn fills faster than it drains. After the barn has filled enough, he closes the window and waits for the barn to drain.
-
Ice? then it will melt away?
-

The case of the Myst Demon... I love that episode...
-
Sorry Benny, but Riku was closer with the correct answer being a pile of snow, but Ice is close enough. Point goes to Riku.
-
YAY!!
*noms on ice* mmm.
Okay okay ermmm....
I am what most people fear, I can strike without warning for i cannot be stopped. Everyday I do things to people that rip apart the hearts of their loved ones. What am I?
-
hate, or Death?
-
yup, death ;) you're good
-
That one was kind of east, if you think about it...
Anywho:
I have streets but no pavement,
I have cities but no buildings,
I have forests but no trees,
I have rivers yet no water.
What am I?
-
a painting?
-
Close, but no cigar. Think more literally...
-
a globe? map of the earth?
-
Photograph? (word word)
-
Macid hit it, but was too large scale. It was a map.
-
excellent.
A man was walking through the woods when he came across a cabin with trees that were felled in a line behind it. The cabin has 1 door, 1 window and 1 chair. Inside he finds the body of a man holding a broken match stick.
How did the man die?
This one is my personal favorite riddle.
-
Some type of machine clear-cutted the trees, the house, and everything else?
-
nope. I didnt say house did i? :)
-
You guys have to stop being better than me at this! >:(
-
Rob got it!
Sorry Benny :(
-
Ahh I was thinking of a ship or plane when I read that :P shame I was asleep
-
Is there anything specific about the 7th floor?
-
Maybe he's a weather reporter?
No, wait a minute. The 7th floor has stairs that go directly outside. He likes to use stairs on a sunny day. But kind of can't if there are other people on the elevator.
-
I would say the guy's too short to press the buttons, and can have others press them, but that doesn't explain why he can go up while it's raining...
-
I know! My Gramp's hip used to hurt when it rained, to the point where he needed a cane. If this guy is the same, he can press the buttons with his cane...
-
I just had a derp moment.
*Hmm... There's nothing else that works in the rain...*
It's an umbrella, isn't it?
-
I'm surprised I got that one...
There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?
-
... ... ...Hint? Please?
-
Rob got it. English to the MAX!
-
Well it's on an island so they had to have used boats to get there, so use the boats to cross the moat?
-
How many foot bridges did they bring, and how deep is the moat?
-
Well, it looks like I can't math my way out of this one... Put the bridges in the corner of the moat, where it's thinner?
-
at the corner, the moat would be slightly thinner, by about half a foot. If you were to reach the footbridge across the moat, forming a triangle with the land, you could lay another footbridge leading to the castle.
-
Hmmm, bind the bridges together? how wide are the footbridges?
EDIT: I think Jayme got it
-
I've seen this trick on MythBusters where they use some type of substance to make the water more solid, but I forgot what the substance was.
-
Yeah so you place a bridge over the corner of the moat, so there's about a 1 metre coverage. then place another bridge to the other corner using a second bridge with one end on the first bridge
This is jayme's answer in detail btw so give it to him
EDIT: My art is awesome
-
Your art is incredble, Riku. :P
And I believe you're right.
-
I just explained Jayme's answer a bit better really. So he should get the credit.
-
I'm gonna hurt you guys if I don't get one right soon. >:3
-
So, who's posting the brainteaser?
-
Oh, OK...
What is seven letters,
More evil then the devil,
Does more good then God,
Poor people have this,
Rich people want this,
and is smaller then a proton?
-
Nothing?
(Word word)
-
Spot on!
-
Excellent! I don't remember where I first heard that.... Anyway!
Jack was driving in his car with his wife when they ran out of gas, he left his wife with the car and went to the nearest gas station, he returned later only to find his wife dead and a stranger in the car, the doors were all still locked and the windows weren't broken, how did his wife die and how did the stranger get in?
-
The killer was in the car all along, hiding in the trunk or back seat?
-
No, I guess I should of mentioned that there was no one else in the car. >.<
-
He used an iron popper (A thin strip of metal used to unlock car doors) to pop the lock?
-
Nah, there was no forced entry made at all, basically the car was exactly how he left it.
-
The killer saw the woman on the side of the road, pulled over and offered assistance. The lady agreed, exiting the car to go with the murderer. She was killed, and the killer climbed back in the car.
-
Still not it, the doors were never opened nor anything else while he was gone.
-
She died of overheating? That is most certainly possible.
-
It is possible but not the case, it also doesn't explain how the stranger got in.
And it's not a stupid thing like he teleported in.
-
Crap, this one's hard, so I'll have to get rediculous. Was the woman pregnant, by any chance?
-
It was a convertible!!!
-
Crap, this one's hard, so I'll have to get rediculous. Was the woman pregnant, by any chance?
Jayme beat me to the punch, was she pregnant, and did she die of childbirth?
She was pegnent, but who's the stranger?
-
The baby...
-
The stranger was a baby.
OH, COME ON!!!!!! >:(
-
The baby...
Yeah, that's it.
You may post, Jayme.
The stranger was a baby.
OH, COME ON!!!!!! >:(
A stranger is someone you've never met before, technically Jack never met the baby before.
-
My detective Conan sense was tingling...
While exploring the wild highlands of Ireland, A man was captured by goblins. The chief of the goblins told him he was allowed one final statement on which would hinge how he would die. If the statement he made was false, he would be boiled in water. If the statement were true, he would be fried in oil. Since the man did not like either option, so he made a statement that forced the goblins to release him. What is the one statement he could make to save himself?
-
A paradox?
Like "This sentence is a lie"
-
Yes, he did. You're turn...
-
ermm, was that directed to rob?
-
Yeah, it was for Rob. Sorry...
-
Would someone please post a BrainTeaser so I may attempt to answer it only to have someone else guess it correctly?
-
Half way? After that, it's running out of the woods?
-
Yay for me! ^_^
Okay, here is an easy one.
You have just arrived on Mars and you notice that there are, infact, inhabitants. Inhabitants of many colors. There are 22 Green people, 19 Red people, 14 Pink people, 20 Blue people, 31 Dark colored people, and 27 multicolored people. Accompanied by these people are 32 4 legged creatures, 27 flying creatures, and 12 creatures in bowls. Adding all this up, how many aliens are there.
-
1
youre the alien
-
Uh... none.
-
Macid is correct. Told you it was easy.
-
:P
Ive used up my good ones so heres another easy one.
how many bits of string does it take to reach from the top of mount everest to the moon?
-
Okay, now I'VE got one...
A blind beggar's brother died. What relation was the blind begar to the man who died?
-
Ciferos: Uh, his brother? But it's not your turn.
Macid: One? Depends on how long the string is?
-
yay you got it!
-
The blind beggar was the SISTER of the man who died.
And it was my turn. You guys just post too fast.
Post Merge: March 26, 2011, 03:35:20 AM
My turn!
-
The blind beggar was the SISTER of the man who died.
And it was my turn. You guys just post too fast.
Post Merge: March 26, 2011, 03:35:20 AM
My turn!
Except your answer was wrong. Also, there was no way to guess the Blind Beggar was the brother, becuase it could have either been the Brother or the Sister, but no way to tell which.
-
Okay, man.
-
An idea?
-
A lie?
-
A secret?
-
Okay.. now its my turn...
When one does not know what it is, then it is something; but when one knows what it is, then it is nothing.
A mystery?
-
Okay... Now how about this:
You're playing tennis when the only ball goes down a hole. The hloe is deep and curved so you can't reach down it, it's too small for anyone to fit down, and the ground is made of hard clay, and thus cannot be dug into. What do you have that can get the ball out?
-
I don't see how the answer could be anything else.
-
Fill the hole with water and get the ball when it floats to the top.
that is probably the only way :/
-
Hmm, friendship? telepathy?
-
A wedding ring?
-
Oh, um, Yippee! :3
I start out with five limbs, but eventually lose one, and come in all colors of the rainbow. What am I? (Here's another easy one. I'm not good at thinking up Brain Teasers.)
-
Chameleon? Idk
-
a flower? a tree? i think things too literally.
-
Wow, no one guessed it right yet.
Note: This is more of a riddle than a Brainteaser.
-
a bathtub?
-
Now you guys aren't even trying.
Here's a hint to make it a bit more fair.
I actually start out of with one limb, but the limb I start out with I lose in the final process.
-
its a hard one. Tree would have been my guess, but thats not it. *scratches head*
-
Hint: A tail is a limb.
-
lizard perhaps?
-
Oh! Its a tatpole turning into a frog!
By George, I think he's got it!
-
Foot prints?
-
Yeah, I'm about to... I'm kinda undecided about that kind of thing... Anyways...
I have many feathers to help me fly. I have a body and head, but I'm not alive. It is your strength which determines how far I go. You can hold me in your hand, but I'm never thrown. What am I?
-
Darn, Rob, you're good... like a boss! XD
-
A Badminton shuttlecock?
-
Nope, but it is related to sport...
-
A dart!
-
No, an arrow. (Because you throw a dart.)
-
No, an arrow. (Because you throw a dart.)
:o You're right
-
I know there was no confirmation, but I have a riddle I really want to do right now.
I follow a leader and act like a clown,
I never grow up, I only grow down.
What am I?
-
No, an arrow. (Because you throw a dart.)
Yeah, it's an arrow...
-
I think the answer to benny's is a plant? some kind of ivy?
-
Teh wrong. Sorry.
-
Immaturity? this is hard. It feels like half a riddle because it's so short
-
No, that's not it either.
-
Is it a root?
-
Think about it for a moment. Who could possibly be the leader, and what could "down" be referring to?
-
I honestly have no clue, like I'm completely stumped.
Maybe down could be referring to feathers,
is it a chicken?
-
Well, it looks like we're on the right track.
On a scale of 1 to 10 on the "trackness" meter, I'd give it a 7. (Rincewind from Discworld 2: Mortality Bites, my favorite Point And Click Adventure game.)
-
Duckling? I'm guessing it's some sort of young bird?
-
Lol a clownfish?
-
Lol, I thought that the first time I saw it, but the down bit threw me off x3
-
Everything is throwing me off. There is about fifteen different things a leader could be.
-
...Yeah, sorry I got distracted by the 'jackal switch' in your sig lmfao that's amazing.
but on-topic, the only thing I can glean is maybe down means like feathers or something.
-
Duckling? I'm guessing it's some sort of young bird?
Correct. The "Leader" is usually their parent. Ducks are known to follow "in line" a parent. Down is their feathers, and the clown bit is mostly something semi-obvious/stereotypical I added cause it rhymed with down.
Your turn.
-
Ahh, very clever :3
Okay then here goes :
I am wanted by many, though hated by some.
I have caused the downfall of leaders and swallowed by none.
Seek me out and pain I will bring,
for all men tremble before my king.
What am I?
-
What is, power?
-
I can see your path of thinking, but no :3
-
its gold/money
-
Nope, good use of logic though :3
two more guesses and I'll give a hint.
-
No, but you have the right sort of Idea, I'd give a 6/10 for closeness.
-
Clearly it must be...
...*whispers* Love
-
Philly!
I don't understand your sig! D:
-
Nope :) Your on the right tracks though
-
is it teh truth?
And what don't you get about it Alexei?
-
Nope, okay.
CLUE TIME!!
What are most people reluctant to swallow?
-
THEIR PRIDE!!!
-
YAY!!!!!!!!!!! YOU GOT IT!!!
*bright lights flash and bells ring*
your turn ^^
-
lol I actually thought of that yesterday but forgot.
Ok I used this is D&D one time
We are little airy creatures,
All of different voice and features;
One of us in glass is set,
One of us you'll find in jet,
T'other you may see in tin,
And the fourth a box within;
If the fifth you should pursue,
It can never fly from you.
What are we?
-
Elements? Molecules? Atoms?
-
Nope nope nope!
-
is it anything D&D related? if so I wont know it :P
-
Nah, it has nothing to do with it
-
My English senses are tingling... Are they vowels?
-
yes, yes they are.
-
Holy crap, I can't believe that was right...
Now:
A man leave his house with no hat, newspaper, book, umbrella, or anything that can keep him dry. During his walk, it starts to storm. When he arrives at his house, hes clothes are soaked, yet not a single hair on his head is wet. How did the man do it?
-
he's bald?
-
Yeah, that's right.
-
Okay, here's a good one:
In the mounttains there is a cabin. Inside, three people lie dead. The cabin is locked fron the inside and there is no sign of a struggle or any weapons. What happened?
-
They all died from natural causes.
-
Plane Crash!
-
Yes, Phil! That's It!
-
Awesome.
Ok, What is this?
They can be harbored, but few hold water,
You can nurse them, but only by holding them against someone else,
You can carry them, but not with your arms,
You can bury them, but not in the earth.
-
A memory?
-
Not quite
-
A grudge!
-
Thoughts?
and whut happened to my turn lol
-
that's true, you were supposed to have a turn.
but yea it was a grudge
-
Meh, I'll wait until next time.
-
Sweet! Okay, here's a good one:
A man saw a fish, and because of that he shot himself. Why?
-
He saw his reflection in the water and realised he could never be spiderman, and thusly he couldn't take the unbearable desire to be what he wanted, he tried dressing up but it just wasn't the same. He tried to get radiated spiders to bite him but they just died. He was so upset, so he finally decided that in heaven, he could be whatever he wanted, so he walked to the nearest gun shop and bought a nice cheap .32 pistol and shot himself in the head.
-
:o Uh... noooooooo...
Did you take your medication today...?
-
It's not O.o, damn I was so sure...
-
because the fish told him to?
-
Nope...
Hint: The fish symobolizes something... and it's dead.... like poor ol' Frankie... ;)
-
Oh, oh I know this actually, it's in a fish tank or something and it symbolises his girlfriend or wifes life who is in a coma, and when she dies, so does the fish...or something similar.
-
Not even close.. except for the symbolism part.
Think carefully... where does one usually hear of guys named Frankie dying?
-
the only thing I can think of is frankenstein
-
Okay... maybe that hint was kinda stupid... You still don't have the answer....
Who makes offers? And what can't you do with 'em? (This might give it all away...)
-
Your clues make no sense.
-
Yeah either I'm really stupid or these clues dont help unless you know the answer
-
You've never heard this one before. T_T
Re-he-he-he-heaaaly?
Keep thinking!
And I DO know the answer... B)
-
like seriously, all I can get from this is Ace Ventura
Aside from that the only Frankie I know is from One Piece.
-
(There's a Frankie in One Piece? Didn't know that... but I sure do love One Piece!)
Here's a BIG hint... the mob are involved here.
Wow. I thought that this one would be a snap for you guys...
-
The mob?
..... This makes no sense at all.
-
He wanted to sleep with teh fishies?
-
T_T That was not it either.
Oh, for the love of falafel balls! Just LOOK IT UP!
-
I did a search like two days ago since nobody could figure it out. I typed it in and nothing came up.
-
I just searched for it too. there was no answer. there was another brainteaser thread like this and nobody answered it on there either.
-
WHAAAAT?!?
Come on! Think! The dead fish, the mafia, the man shooting himself... WHAT DO THEY HAVE IN... :o :3
Here's another hint: A judge was involved. The fish meant something. It meant that the man who shot himself was going to die.
Do you get it NOW?
-
I have absolutely NO idea as to what it could be. I think it's impossible.
-
hmmm, the hints are spread out everywhere...... but i'll give it a go.
Sacrafice? or Re-Incarnation?
-
the fish was a piece of evidence in a trial against the mafia. the guy saw the fish and knew that if the mafia was convicted, then he would die. so he shot himself.
this is really grasping at straws.
-
:3 You're getting warmer... But the fish was NOT evidence. But there was a trial involved... before this event happened.
Okay, to review the previous hints:
The fish is dead.
The Mafia is involved.
The man knew that the fish meant that he was going to die.
There was a trial.
It was against the Mafia.
Now, if this man is scared of this fish, which has something to do with the Mafia, and this all started because of a trial... What role did the man play in the trial? And what did he do afterwards?
-
Ummm... YOU ARE BANNED FROM MY THREAD FOR USING BIZZARO LOGIC! :P
But seriously, is the fish actually a fish?
-
the man was a witness and the fish symbolised what would happen to the man?
-
CLEARLY the fish was on his dinner plate at an Italian restaurant and he realized that it was poisoned so he shot himself so as not to give the mafia the pleasure of doing it themselves.
-
Hm, That's probably the most plausible thing I've heard.
-
Two People are in a room, There is a door with a lock, but no key can be found.
There is one light, and a light pull string, two chairs, and table.
How do you get out?
(Its possible, I've gotten out with the materials involved)
-
Two People are in a room, There is a door with a lock, but no key can be found.
There is one light, and a light pull string, two chairs, and table.
How do you get out?
(Its possible, I've gotten out with the materials involved)
You find a way to get to the lightbulb using the tables and chairs, smash the lightbulb, and use its filament as a lockpick. (Saw it on Mythbusters.)
And besides that, it's not your turn. But good one, though.
-
Smarty pants...
-
I was gonna go for the door. He didn't say it was locked.
-
:o YOU GUYS REALLY CAN'T FIGURE THIS OUT?!? (Seriously?!?)
Well, then I'll just have to tell you why the man shot himself when he saw the fish. You see, he was under a death threat because he had been a witness of prosecution in a Mafia trial. In order to escape he had been given a different (new) identity and had set up a new life for himself. The sending of a dead fish is a traditiional Mafia death threat. When he recieved the dead fish in the mail, the man knew that the Mafia had figured out his location and who he was in real life and that he was going to be killed no matter what.
Is that really too hard to figure out?
Oh wait... :S
Yeah, I should've chosen a different brainteaser... Like this one...
You are in a country with only truthtellers and liars, and there is no way to tell them apart by appearence. You set out on a perilous journey, because there is a fork in the road at a certain point that can lead to either a swamp filled to the brim with venomous flame-spitting FBI-owned scorpion-gators or to safety and a fresh pair of socks. When you reach this fork, however, the signpost has disappeared, but there are two men standing in its place. You know that they will only answer one question between them. What question can you ask either of the men that wil tell you which road leads to your salvation?
-
I know this one, you ask one of them this,
"If I asked the other one which gate he was guarding, what would he say?"
The liar would lie, saying other is guarding the swamp,
The guy who tells the truth would know that the liar would say he was guarding the safe road,
so which ever one you ask, their answer is the one that the are guarding.
I ish smart.
-
Well, there weren't any gates... but you still got it right! So now it's your turn to sumbit a brainteaser!
-
Alright,
Never Once did a man see like the man stan, he was
Gonna leave his home,
Give up his life, but then someone came along,
You, came along, and made him feel like a million dollars.
Up and Up, when his emotions
Never coming down,
Gonna stay like this forever,
Let him down, "Never!" He would of said to that,
You Helped him there.
Down Down he went, went you left him
Never coming back again,
Gonna see him?
Turn around, dont see him.
Around, Around.
And Around.
Hurt, he hurt because of someone.
You.
Find the secret message!
-
a loved one broke your heart
-
Nope.
(word word)
-
its a rick roll. never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, etc etc
-
Good job!
Now its your turn.
-
A plane crashed on the border of canada and usa. it landed exactly so that the plane was equally on both sides. Where did they bury the survivors?
-
Nowhere, you cant bury living people, well you cant but thats evil.
-
you got it. your turn
-
If I asked you,
"Is the answer of this question, going to be the same as the answer of the next question?"
And the next question is, "Will you give me a million dollars?"
What would your answer for the first question be?
(The objective is to say no to the next question)
-
Maybe?
Yes?
Indeedidly?
-
answer with another question?
-
@Benny, chose one answer.
@Chonkster, noep.
-
You answer with the word; "Banana"
-
Maybe?
One answer.
-
Benny got it.
-
Before I ask the riddle, has anyone ever been creeped out by that Victory Dance Dhalsim does when he wins the first round in the Street Fighter 2 series.
Anyway, let me think for a moment.
...
...
I can't think of any, some one else can go.
-
Okay, heeeeeeeeeeeeere we go!
A man in th eU.S. decided he would kill someone. Although he had not chosen exactly who it was who should die, he went to court and obtained a court order allowing him to kill a person. The court order prevented him from being prosecuted. He then carried out the killing and no one tried to stop him. Can you explain?
Hints will follow.
-
He chose to kill an inmate on death row.
-
Not even close.
-
He killed himself?
-
He joined the Army?
-
He killed himself?
-
He killed himself?
-
T_T No. To all of those. He killed another person.
Okay, I'm gonna throw you guys a bone here:
The man was a doctor.
-
Wait, eU.S?
No such thing as the eU.S....
-
So pretty much he is just a doctor who is euthanizing people.
-
NO.
He had to kill one person so another might live.
There's another little hint for ya...
-
Was he playing one of Jigsaw's games?
-
He did a childbirth; the child lived, but the mother died
-
No and no.
He had to choose one of two people to die.
One more hint after this, then you're on your own...
-
I can't understand any of your brain teasers or hints.
-
Sorry.
Okay, I'm gonna give the hints in entirety...
1. The man was a doctor. He had to kill one person so that another might live.
2. He (the doctor) had to choose one of two people to die. These people were young and related.
And here's one that I think applies. There is a special name for these two people that is shared by those two animals who got Lady muzzled in Lady and the Tramp.
-
They were Siamese twins, and the doctor had to kill the one less developed?
-
YES! They shared one heart, so only one of them could live! It's your turn, Benny!
-
You are in a brightly lit room. There is one door that is locked. The only way to unlock it is to get fillament from a lightbulb. Away from the lightbulb is a pipe that is dripping water. Also close by is an air vent that is too small to crawl through. There is nothing else in the room and the lightbulb is too far away to grab. How do you escape the room.
(I didn't need to have you guess the fillament part, as it's already been explained in past riddles. The rest, however, you're on your own.
-
Get on the pipe, jump and grab the air vent, unscrew light bulb, make a pick out of it?
-
Nope. The pipe, the air vent, and the lightbulb are FAR away from each other.
-
Nope, that's not it.
-
the door may be locked but you didnt say it could be busted down. (not explosives)
so you keep charging at the door full force until you break it open. kicking it also counts.
-
No, once again you are wrong. Let me recite everything in the room once more.
A lightbulb a tad too high to reach
A pipe that is dripping water
A tiny air-vent complete with a grate
Any more ideas?
-
AHA! you take the grate off the vent, wet your hand without the grate with the water. throw the grate at the light bulb. and use your wet hand to pick up the filament. use the filament as a lock pick and escape.
-
The filament stuck onto the broken lightbulb, and is still too high to grab. Besides, if you want to destroy the lightbulb, you will have to be a bit more creative.
(In other words: That's one way of doing it, but it's not "My Way.")
