If you follow a subdivision within a main branch you can post; Ex. Christian, Catholic.
If you follow a religion the is considered other you can post.
You Can not post if you are here to talk about how, your religion is correct, or how god may or may not exist. Repsect you fellow kin.
Oh an I put you can vote twice because is some religions; ex. Budddist, it is more of a guide line of how one would live and you are allowed to follow other religions. Please don't just spam two because you can.

I like to think im part buddhist because I believe in karma, and other because I have my own views.

i am Agnostic..meaning i believe in the spirit, and that the existance of higher beings than humans exist..but dont believe in god, or any god for that matter.
im open minded to the concept of reincarnation, and mabey some sort of afterlife. but nothing like heaven or hell.

Hey, it's kinda possible, I think >< err...Cuz sometimes I do believe in Karma, and sometimes I don't believe in anything. But when I see somebody get what they deserve, I call it Karma. But I don't know if that counts or not.

Anyways I'm not sure I kind of think I'm somewhat an agnostic; I mean most religions all follow the sane God. We all just worship him differently right? (The there main religions at least)

i just think that each person has their own beliefs and i will accept everyone, i mean in the bible jesus said to love thy neighbor, not "oh lets hate gays and people of different beliefs." :)

we ( well humans ) didn't come from monkeys it's more like a mix between a modern ape and modern human and thrue evolution some became aps and monkeys wile the rest became the diferint versions of human. *wipes sweat from forehead* but that doesn't mean what anyone else thinks is wrong because no one alive today was there during the early days of man.

i know but iam strongly ageist evolution... on a genetic level where more related to the pet dog's and pig's then where are to apes

well I am a Wiccan/Mysticist whichever you choose to call it. I believe in the mystic energy in all things, and the potential for all things to "become" 'gods.' I also believe that all religions are basically following the same god, even atheists in that they are following a god in a non-believing manner. I practice tarot cards and also practice magical rituals every so often.
I almost don't want to admit it, but I am proud and therefore need to...I am also a bit of a Satanist. I do not worship Satan or any other horrible 'bad' figure but I do worship the darkness and make sure that blood payment is given whenever possible. This is a MINOR part of my religion in that it (practice) doesn't happen that often.
I know I wasn't supposed to go into detail and fyi I respect all religions and do not promote my own, that is a part of being a mystic, but I felt describing it was better than just saying 'oh hey watch out I'm a Wiccan Satanist.' that could lead to a few frightened people.

One can be both agnostic and atheist. The idea you can't is a common misconception. Agnosticism is a manner in which beliefs are held, which is a negative form of the word gnosticism. Gnosticism was and is a philosophical component of certain Christian theologies, whereby one can know with certitude the existence of god, and this spiritual certainty is considered by gnostics to be a key component of spirituality.
By contrast, agnosticism is the absence of gnosticism - that is, it is a lack of spiritual certainty - a manner in which a given belief is held, which logically, due to the problem of induction, must be the default stance on any proposition until the proposition is verified by evidence. I think you're the one that needs to show a little respect. Telling people about what you believe is NOT the same as shoving in their face or telling them that what you believe is correct. All it is is sharing information. No-one here is arguing and no-one here is boasting or getting upset.
Why did you make this thread about religion...if you don't want to hear people talk about their beliefs? Maybe some people don't feel comforable having conversations about religion with strangers over PM.....especially if it's just to describe what you believe!

Sain is just being responsible and trying to make sure no one starts arguing, that's no reason to be upset with him.
You should allow people to express the details of what they believe though, Sain. As long as no one starts fighting and talks about this stuff reasonably, there's no issue. Unlike me, some people can't just say "I'm _____" and leave it at that because others won't necessarily understand what they mean otherwise.
As long as everyone respects everyone else this thread should be okay, simple as that.

Sasha; first, you shouldn't take something so personally, especially if you weren't the one quoted. Second; freedom of speech gives you the right to say what ever, but not without consequences so just because someone ask you not to say something it isn't an infringement upon your right. Third; (as quote above suggest) they were debating, and that could easily of turned into a flame war it didn't matter if none of theme were being serious or not someone could of easily of taken offense.

The rules are for the benefit of the forums, certain things aren't allowed to be talked about because this is suppose to be a "drama free" zone. I'm doing this so someone like "Zeph" wouldn't be put in the middle.

That's not what I meant....I should have been more specific I meant that it's scary how many places, organizations, and people do the same thing: they say it nicely 'please don't talk about that stuff here' when that little nice front is a lie. More and more places are saying the same thing! And the more that happens, the more difficult it becomes for people to freely speak. Soon there will be no place to speak about anything except behind closed doors. Soon all of our books will be censored so that no-one will 'take offense' and then we'll have our nice little dystopian society that everyone's been looking for.

And I do apologize for infringing on your thread, Sain. You don't deserve my anger, you are a nice guy just trying to keep a thread under control and you've done nothing wrong. I'm just angry that the same rules placed on your thread have become major 'rules' in this country.

I'm sorry, but there's no way people are going to be able to express their true thoughts without offending your rules. The Jewish term can both be a race and a religion, if you are atheist you can still be a Jew by blood. It can be confusing at times for some, but it is possible.

I was baptized Catholic but I've always associated myself with pagan new age beliefs though its only because I'm into ethology and believe the keys to truth can be found in the past studies held by witches and alchemists who were mainly scientists anyway who just were masters of herbalism and chemistry. Plus I love astrology, cosmolgy, astronomy and geology. Sadly though math and physics aren't my friends but that's what schools are for. ^_^

Born and raised in a neutral home, I was never exposed to anything apart from the Salvation Army youth club many years back and I can honestly say I despised them for what they did. Now, I'm not aiming to talk badly about Christianity but these people were LITERALLY making kids believe that non-Christians were like diseases - harmful and not something you'd want to come close to and get infected. Brainwashing them. I guess I was old enough to see that what they were doing was wrong, and I felt a little strange for being one of the "infected", in the middle of the crowd. :P

It's a shame. Not spreading a belief, but forcing it into young children's head the way they did. They used an example once, saying that some children smell like banana and apples. And if you hang with kids like that, you start to smell like them as well. And some smell like sour socks and rotten cheese and you want to stay away from them because their smell will also rub off onto you. And they closed it by saying that Jesus smelt of strawberries and God smelt of fresh rain and that being friends with Jesus would make you smell good.
Again, I'm only talking badly about the people leading this club, noone else.

Don't worry, people like that may think they are doing the right thing, and may think they are going to an eternal happy afterlife, but most religions all say something about "love thy neighbor" or "love everybody equally, regardless of what they believe in, do, say, think etc".. So all the people that judge and use propaganda on kids are actually breaking their own religion's rule, and probably won't end up in a good place in the end.

I'm sorry, but that's how I feel though. If angels one day descended to Earth and it was all over the news and everything, I would not live in denial for the rest of my life. And please take that seriously, it's not meant as sarcasm.
