yeah..i have a messed up back from a poorly healed slipped disk. i cant lift anything even remotely heavy, cant run, jump or even walk fast. sometimes it bothers me enough to need my cane.
im 21 and in my prime and i own a cane..-_-....its a lil dissapointing.
it will even pinch the nerves in my legs sometimes and ill fall down and cant get up. its really embarrasing...

i cant just give people art until i get the payment in the mail..else i could very easily get scammed. thats what happened with my last commission
a good friend of mine commissioned me and asked to get it first before the payment so it would be in time for his friends birthday. and i trusted him so i said yes..
its been two months and i havent seen a dime. and whenever i asked him about the money, he told me i was badgering and he would when he could..that he hasnt had "the time" to send it.
:/...so i never show the final product till i see my payment

does a male character that non furry, dreassed..but in swimwear is that ok? i got a pic i like that i have no ideda if it would be yelled at, it covers all, he is just kinda sittin in a sexy way.

thanks, its actualy one of my new favorites. im definately going to be keeping him as an OC and draw him more often
hehe, cause im alwase coming up with OC's cause i keep thinking of cool characters and i draw them..but they dont alwase stick around, either they werent fun enough to draw or they werent very popular with my viewers.
no i dont draw for the peoples liking, but i do take it into account...cause why draw art that nobody likes and nobody is gonna wanna look at when all ill do is draw it and stuff it away in a folder. i LIKE people to see what i do, and i like them to like it.
so if there not gonna like it, and if i sorta didnt enjoy drawing it. then why bother?

Warning, there's a fee for using credit cards, debit cards, and paypal credit. I'm gonna be warning all my customers about it now because it's been taking out of every payment so far. The free things are from the paypal balance and bank account.

I adore the line strokes, they look like sumi-e brush work but idk what they are, still very beautiful linework and looks even better on the special paper

they are special watercolor brushes that are self wicking..they have the paint INSIDE them. so all i have to do is take off the cap and go for it.

well i take a cookie tray...sprinklea generous amount of coffe grounds in it..let it brown the water...set the paper in it..and take teabags and set them on the paper where i want swirls of darkness at....puff the teabag a lil to get the water flowin in it..and let it sit for like..20 minutes...results vary

then to dry...carefuly take it out..and lay it on a flat surface..and put a seran wraped book on top of it..let it dry on its own

yeah..i have a messed up back from a poorly healed slipped disk. i cant lift anything even remotely heavy, cant run, jump or even walk fast. sometimes it bothers me enough to need my cane.
im 21 and in my prime and i own a cane..-_-....its a lil dissapointing.
it will even pinch the nerves in my legs sometimes and ill fall down and cant get up. its really embarrasing...
Sounds like the nerve pinching is Sciatica caused by the slipped disc. I have the same condition from one of my vertebrae slipping a tad bit forward. If it doesn't flare, and I'm active, its normal, but if I sit for too long it kicks my butt (literally).your art is gorgeous. Mine is always 2D cartoony stuff. :(

as for how i do it, your incorrect....what i ACTUALY do is listen to music for a hour or so before i draw, it gets my creative juices flowing..i actualy never draw without music, else it comes out sub par.

well i was thinking about mabey starting a second art thread for all my "progress" art. because i make a base sketch..a secondary sketch..a clean sketch. i ink it...THEN i paint it
and i scan each step for the customer, just to make sure its what they want.

Hey!!! you!... YEAH YOU with the awesome artings....they're really fantastic :D and i've come to a conclusion you're doing everything with pen and paper, not digitally....
I'd really love to know what paper size you use because i find A4 distressingly small and all your work looks so details and freely drawn on a larger scale. :3 could you help me out a bit?
if i'm wrong about the no digital thing for your art, never mind me, but i thought, another tradit artist could help me out a bit for i am, for the most part, technologically dysfunctional D:

yes, i do this all by hand. no computer included. (unless you count the awesome music i listen to while i draw)
but im actualy REALY ghetto with my art. i use simple computer printing paper, as i like how it doesnt smudge my pencil as much as some art paper can. and its easy to buy in bulk.
though if your gonna paint on such paper (i use watercolor so i have to do this) i reccomend taping your papers corners down on something like a book..or a clipboard. something to keep the paper from curling from the moisture.
if you got any other art questions for me you can PM me about it, and id be glad to help you!

I really need to start using my water-colors :/ I have a question for ya Kaprika...How do you stay motivated to keep drawing? I usually draw in burst where I enjoy for a few weeks at a time than I stop for like 2 months. I really want to be able to sit down and draw at least once a week...

well, it helps that its my biggest passion. and since im alwase doing commissions im ALWASE getting to learn no tips and skills, im not drawing the same characters over and over again.
it keeps things interesting for me
also, now and then shake it up and draw something out of your comfort range...either in content..or difficulty level. i find that helps keep me sharp.
(also i have no life soo.......i do art alot XD )

I see...I've noticed that I actually draw more when I DON'T take requests and I draw good ol' Gelidus lol. Thanks for your personal advice. I'll keep it as a note and see if I can branch out more.
And on another note: I don't think I've told you how much of a great job you do. I've seen so many people use digital art (not that there is anything wrong with it) Its really nice to see someone who makes amazing traditional art :) You have been an inspiration as of late, and I just wanted to thank you :D

i was in a drawing mood but my pencil was being retarted (MY PENCIL I SWEAR) so i decided to draw in a medium i havent in AAGES

as of now..for a unspecified amount of time i am not taking commissions that have an axcess of grey. im getting so tired of having to paint characters thats nothing but various shades of grey. REALLY now, lets see some creativity people..if your entire body is grey...thats fine, just try to give me some clothing with a little color maybe?? i have to mix this paint, and i dont like having to go through black and white paint like its chocolate cake and go to my craft store every month.

Im at a crossroads between which style I like better, but I think I like digital more than traditional. Looks cleaner to me.

Those look great, I love the way you do faces and expressions. I played around with and slightly edited the colors on the one you gifted me since my fursona's colors are kinda complicated. But I never could have come close to drawing her like that, I fail at expressions.

for a few people..ive been told my sea litchen is adorable and that they would like me to sell off her babies for adoption.
i for one like this idea. but i have a question.
im drawing the babies in two stages...hatclings and younglings..i want to know if people would prefer to
A) buy them individualy for $1 for a baby and $3 for the younglings..all would have different colors
or
B) sell them in bundles..where you get the hatcling and youngling version of the same coloring for $4 together.
what would you all preffer?

aww..those two are so cute, sometimes when Artemis is in his room playing with his daughter she will loose track of time and fall asleep on him. so he just puts her in the bed and eventualy when there both asleep he will end up holdin her. (he's a sleep cuddler) X3
but yes..he will huddle up to her and be the big spoon and shes the lil spoon...the really really little spoon..>>
or perhaps hes just to big, either way

im almost frozen in fear here. i just got off the phone with my mate, and....he lost his job today.
he was the sole provider, aside from our other roomate...but she has a baby and she doesnt have a whole lot to pitch in anyhow being a single mom.
hes keeping calm for me...i know he is, the details are that he is a sheet metal worker..makes $38 a hour and it all goes towards out $1090 rent, both mine and his car and phone bills, groceries, utilities. and they let him go today saying "we just dont have any work right now..try back in two months but for now were sorry. we just cant afford so many workers right now"
this was so last minute...we were in no way preppared for this, and he says he is gonna apply for unemployment but that wont cover nearly all the bills, let alone groceries. we are scrambling for a plan, cause if not....we loose our home. my roomate has to take her baby and go live in her moms trailer home, my mate has to move back in with his folks and i would have absolutely no place to go...
his family likes me and all but they have this thing about housing boyfriends and girlfreinds of there kids...my mates ex sorta left them with a bad aftertaste so now they dont let people stay with them.
and ive already entirely cut ties with my mother, and for everyone here that knows me...id rather die than live with her again, she is a wretched monster of a woman. she is petty, cruel, abusive, controling and with how much ive defied her over the past year she would NEVER take me back anyhow (if she did it would be to torture me)
i need to make ALL the money i can right now. every cent counts. i am in serious danger of loosing everything, and im handicaped and unable to work..this is the ONLY way i can contribute
im not even going to hold standard prices anymore, just tell me what you want and we can hagle something out...i NEED this
