First anthro character in anime that pops in my head would be Oolong from Dragon Ball Z. As for my favorite I don't know.

What about Ren and Stimpy? I watched that just yesterday.

Was the definition of Furry changed recently?
The only anime I've seen that contains any actual furries is The Cat Returns, and I really like that one fat cat because he reminds me of one of my own pets.

Hayao Miyazaki made so many good amines with furry-ish characters. Totoro...The Cat Returns....Spirited Away.... Though I have to say, there was this anime show about these ballerinas with a walking-talking kitty as their teacher-and the cat was pretty awesome! Anyone remember a show like that?

Theree were a bunch of Cat people anthro whatevers and it was japapanese.

...I used to watch it, but I don't remember the cat very well. I know plenty of games had the cat in it.

Ah Sailor Moon, I believe that between that and some of the much earlier titles were most peoples first anime. But looking back on it, almost all of them and cartoons in general have been stocked full
