Ok, so I decided to make a Magic-User Serious RP. Like my other RP, this will be in a medieval setting, and but NOT in the Kin Chronicles realm. I will answer questions, but let me just underlie the basics of this RP.
Every magic-user in the world has always had a limit to their use of magic. Majicka: the life force of all living beings, extremely limited in most life forms. However, there are the few that were born with more Majicka than others. They were called Mages. Anyone can cast a spell in this world, but anyone who's not a mage would die instantly after casting one. Mages were indeed a rare, but powerful lot. many a millenia have passed since the discovery and training of Mages. They have studied magic and have developed a library to identify their usage of magic and how to expand their Majicka. The process has been hard, but they found that using minerals and gems of the same affinity as their own magic amplifies their Majicka supply. They also found that, over time, one gains more Majicka as they mature in using magic. However, even the strongest of strongs have always had a limit, despite their power. Now, the normals have found something interesting. A single plant, the only of its kind, that grows in the northern-most tip of the continent, in a cave at the center of the indestructible Kratos Mountain, surrounded by high rocks and jagged peaks. The only way in, is through a small, narrow path that extends 2km off shore, protected by 2 wild, feral dragons. But what is so special about this single flower, you ask? Well, it contains the ultimate elixir known in the world, the most precious liquid in existence. The flower, once every 200 years, gives off one, single drop of Mana. What is Mana, you ask? It is the liquid that, with only one drop, grants the one who consumes it unlimited Majicka flow within their body that will never exhaust. Since its discovery, wars have been fought by both Mages and Normals to obtain this precious item. However, there is a time limit. After the flower produces the drop, it'll evaporate within exactly 1 year. It has been 199 years since the last drop. Now, it is only one more month before the next drop of Mana, and everyone is preparing for war. Especially the Normals.
Your Role:
You will have the choice of either being a Mage or a Normal
Mages may only choose ONE affinity from the Wheel. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Light, Dark. If you choose to have a sub-category of an affinity, know that you may ONLY manipulate that sub. (Example: Glass is a sub of Earth. You can manipulate glass, but you cannot manipulate the ground. Ice can freeze water, and manipulate ice, but can't manipulate water except to freeze it.)
Normals, from the last drop 199 years ago, you have obtained armour that is RESISTANT to magic. NOT magic-proof. You may have 1 large melee weapon, 2 medium/small sized melee weapons, or 1 medium/small with a shield. Throwing weapons, you will have a large supply, but it will need to be replenished. Depending on your throwing weapon, I may allow certain small/medium melees.
Rules:
1) MUST post everyday.
2) MUST have correct grammar.
3) MUST have at least High School Freshman level spelling.
4) MUST be AT LEAST 3 lines long.
5) MUST take this seriously.
6) NO god-modding.
Also, Mages, you will be given a limit to how much Majicka you have, based on character's age and bio.

He has no interest in others, and is very anti-social. He is also a veteran in many small skirmishes in the past, but only because it paid well. Now, he counts himself lucky that he is alive for this momentous event and will seek the Mana.
(Ok, a few notes. Yes, Hybrids are allowed. No, money will NOT play a part in this RP, we'll just generalize it. {i.e. If you're poor, just act it, no need to be specific. But if you're all curious, we're using coins.} There will also be a posting order, as well as a limit to how many players can be on at THIS TIME. Meaning MORE slots will open later.)

Bio: Ember is one tough chick. All her life she has been the girl who nobody dared to mess with and for those who didn't know to not cross the line with her, they got to experience her hot temper. She has never actually hurt another person though, just used her bending to scare them. She doesn't show her emotions much besides when she gets very angry, of course. She has a very sarcastic attitude and only a few friends that "get" her and aren't afraid to be near her. She isn't really power-hungry but she wouldn't mind having no limits to her power just because it would make life easier not having to worry about how much majicka she was using.

Because of the Topaz and his experiences, Lazaryos usually lasts quite long in a battle. He never uses much Majicka and rations his spells. But He has enough to cast 9 high-level spells before needing rest. Normal spells on continuous, about 12 minutes.
Ok, based on your character sheet and staff, your limit is 7 minutes in a fight. You are still green behind the ears and have very limited Majicka. You have enough Majicka to cast 6 high-level spells before needing to rest and recharge. Normal spells, you can probably have continuous use for about 8 minutes.

Bio: A user of majicka since birth, Nitrous used to be known as Night but after doing some nasty experimentation with dark majicka he seriously injured himself and because of his face is now known as Nitrous among many, the rest of his history is much unknown rather than being somewhat of a scholar on the darker elements.
I would like to ask a few questions, like when you say there are limitations on Earth "magic" does that prohibit alchemists? As in I mean I would like to play an alchemist but I have no idea yet if that's allowed, so I was wondering before I made the bios x.x

OK.. White. This will be interesting. Because you are using a Dark element, your Majicka count is a bit high, but the drawbacks are severe. Dark magic consists of using "cosmic" Majicka. Your spells are pretty much all high-levels, so there's no real time limit. For you, you can only cast 13 spells per day. Your spells include, but are not limited to: Meteor (1 meteor per cast). Gravity (black orb that compresses anything that touches it. moves very slow, but can be released at caster's discretion.).
So yes, along those lines. Remember, you can only cast 13 spells in 1 day. Be wary.]

Well, dark has many subs. There's shadow magic. There's illusion magic. Many many different ones that fall under dark.

Actually, White, after further inspection of your character sheet, your limit has just dropped down to 8 spells a day.

well, actually, unlike Kin Chronicles (which is already deep in magic already), this RP is going to literally delve as far into the Magic World as it can go. I'm going all out with this one, and I'm not holding anything back.

ok, how your Majicka count is determined, is not just based on that alone. I actually have a chart written out in my notebook with diagrams and such. However, I'm keeping that a secret so that people will make honest characters and not fixed ones to maximize their character's Majicka
All players will start in one of two major cities. None of you will be in a party.... yet. It is indeed a quest for the Mana droplet, but you have to remember that EVERYONE on Earth is going to be going after it for their own personal reasons. The last person who obtained it, used his newfound powers to help fortify Normals. Who knows what the next person might do with its power?
You were right the second time. Those who enchant items are normally in a different profession. However, certain magic-users can temporarily enchant certain items, weapons and people (this last one is ultra rare, and I'll only dispense the details in either the RP, or if someone gets the right magic type.)

Bio: Born into a family of mages, Chrono was considered the black sheep for not even having an ounce of majick in him. So, he did whatever any person would do when they couldn't follow the legacy, they went to go learn how to kill people by turning the body itself into a killing machine.
Can we know anyone before partying with them... or will that ruin the character devealopment.

Bio: Once a simple farm boy. Justeph, at the age of 18, went for a job with some 'tomb raiders' (no not Lara Croft). When they opened up a special tomb, rumored to be haunted by the spirit of a long dead Magus, the tomb raiders entered, undaunted. When they finally found the Old Magus's tomb, they recovered, his old robe and ceremonial armor and his old staff. Thinking it would turn a hefty profit, they grabbed the armor and ran. The next day, they set up camp, and all throughout the night, Justeph couldn't help but think of how powerful he would be inside that armor, so before dawn broke, he decided to steal it. He ran from the camp, knowing if he returned he'd probably be killed. However the spirit of the Old Magus still inhabits the robe and ceremonial armor, and now the two share minds, although Justeph can't tap into the Magus's powerful Majika reserves, he could gleam advice from him.
For the next two years, the Magus has been teaching him the ways of Dark Magic. However his tutelage was not enough, and the boy was found by a coven of Dark magic 'practitioners', who assisted him with his studies.

Hmm... interesting prospects. I'm going to give Entaru time to decide if he wants in. If he does, then there will be a choice between Gabag, Chrono and Entaru for the TWO remaining spots. The last one will be put on reserve. Now, before I begin to draw lots, I would like to remind everyone that you absolutely MUST abide by all the rules. Also, you must not create your own fantasies and go off on a tangent that doesn't make sense. If it makes sense, just a little side-track, that's fine. But no making up stuff that are not of this realm.

Clothing: He is covered from head to toe in what seems to be one piece of black cloth. In reality he is covered in hundreds of thin black rags (think a Dementor from Harry Potter). The only thing not covered by the rags are his hands which are gnarled and mange-ridden.
Features: His entire body bears the mark of his magic. Decades of practice under the path of the Corruption Mages has left his body ragged and hideous. Much of his fur fell out years ago. Many of the bald spots are covered in infectious sores and rashes. What little fur he has left is matted with dried pus from his open wounds. This, however, is paled in comparison to the horrors on his face. His left eye has rotted out of its socket leaving a gaping hole. His bottom jaw is almost gone, having been snapped in half years ago, and his tongue hangs limply against his neck and chest.
Bio: Nero was born into his profession. His family perfected the art of Corruption centuries ago, and have kept its workings a secret to all but themselves. He was taught to use his own pain and sickness to enhance his magic. While his family often caused themselves to become sickly for short periods of time, Nero took his profession to a whole new level when he purposefully gave himself a flesh eating virus. He kept the virus controlled, only allowing it to eat away what he considered useless. When he was finished he destroyed the virus and allowed himself to be subjected to numerous infections and diseases. During the process, however, he had forgotten to keep the virus away from his mouth. One bite of an apple later and his bottom jaw snapped at the molars. He is in hopes of gaining the drop of Mana so that he may further his family's obsession, becoming beings of pure disease.

Because you always have a "different" character, like you don't do the same attitude or amount of power or type of power, it's always different, always detailed, and always well constructed! If there was a list of the "good" RP'ers I would say you would definitely be on it for me :P, I'm always glad to see creativity even though I may sound like I'm exaggerating, but still it's really a relief to have quality over quantity.

Hmm...This does seem pretty interesting. Though if I were to enter this RP I don't know exactly how I would proceed, more as how the RP would proceed. I understand we are preparing for battle, a big war for a drop of water with super omgwtfbbq powers. But how is that going to play out? Are you going to decide when the battle starts? All the troops? Their actions? Yadda yadda...Anyway, I'm sure I'll see. Time for some questions about various magics...
The ability to have your art come to life, Dark, right? And is it allowed?
This one...Well I'm just going to assume is dark, but necromancy.
Also, the ability to absorb weapons fire or other objects into your body for either poops 'n' giggles, energy or a return fire. Allowed? What element?
What are your views of Mercenaries in this RP?
Are we only allowed one character?
If a mage, can we have a weapon other than a staff? And have a gem or what not embedded in weapon amplifying the power of the user.
If a normal, the one life ending spell you get, can it be like super omgwtfbbq epic? Like blowing up a building, or making a blackhole, teleporting you or a group of people, or something cool like that?
I'm sure I can think of more as this digresses. But uh...Depending on the answers I'll create a character sheet to try my luck at getting in this.

Necromancy is indeed dark, and will even be MORE limited because of how powerful necromancy is.
Absorb and rebound via body, can be allowed. Depending on the nature of it, it can be either Dark, Earth or Light.
Mercenaries, armies, wannabes.... they're all after the Mana.

No, because despite some decent cooperation, Normals and Mages repel each other, Mages being more the pompous type and never use weapons other than their staffs.
Unfortunately, no. High level spells in general can't even be used by most Mages without years of development in their affinity first.
(Also, cuddles, I'm now drawing lots for Entaru, Chrono and Gabag to see who's getting put on standby until there's more room. So you're automatically on standby if you want in.)

Okay Gabag. Here's your Majicka count for the RP.
Because of your special situation and your affinity's mineral, your limit is 1 spell per day as your default persona. However, when you switch to the spirit, you will have an additional 4 spells, and I will tell you why. To control your body, the spirit's Majicka is drained, so just being out takes a lot out, also, your body can't handle too much of the stress of a second Majicka source in it. That is why you're limited. Also, because of your bio, you started very late in life, so you will actually pass out within a short amount of time after switching back from the spirit.
ANYONE WHO RECEIVED THEIR OK AND MAJICKA COUNT MAY NO LONGER CHANGE THEIR CHARAT SHEETS.

Sorry, entaru, but the calculator has spoken. You will be on standby until we open again, in which case you will be the first to be in.
I take it you used a RandInt program. Which means that the calculator you are using is a graphing calculator, possibly a T1-83 or T1-84 from Texas Instruments. Just a guess.
I'm okay with being a standby for now. Means more chances for an awesome entrance (or not so awesome...either way).

Not quite. Whenever I play a magic user of any kind, I normally make them "older" than the other PC's. The decrepit part seems to follow most of my sci-fi/fantasy characters, even the warriors. I like my characters to have something extremely wrong with them for better plot thickening. My normal fursona, after all, is a fox inflicted with a symbiotic strain of Las Plagas. It just feels right to me, being so very wrong.

This feels inspired by the Chaos God Nurgle.

Also me and Chrono worked out the manner of the post order through a series of pms and random number sequences, and I will go first, before Chrono.

Alright I'm gonna post in a hex code color because I think that a lot of the "legible" color is already taken, I mean to be honest I cannot see "black" "blue" "purple" or "Green" because the colors are so dark and blend with the black background and then I have to highlight the words to read it x.x

And yeah, I get what you mean. Though the "lime green" works well.
I always choose text color according to my character I'm using. I used orange in this RP because my character is a firebender. :)

My character has yet to show why everyone's afraid to mess with her.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, my character's wings are connected to her arms and her sides, meaning if she raises her arms from her sides, it fans out her wings, just like with a bat.

Of course, the wing membranes are flexible so she could still crawl on her hands and knees.

yeah I figured since the wings are "flexible" so that means they could just slide with you in small spaces, however still gonna be "sliding" on the wall D:. My character on the other hand just likes to keep his hood on most of the time because his hideous face makes people scream in the morning 8D

I don't think her wings would be touching the walls of a shaft if she was in one, since the angle of where her arms are going directs which way her wings go.

Cuddles, just a suggestion if you chose the Necromancer...how about having a staff that looks like a scythe? That would cool and unique.

Hmm...Maybe a staff with a scythe shaped crystal blade...Hmm.......Well, I'm just assuming since mages use staffs and not normal weapons they would be unexperienced in melee combat. Because with a scythe over a staff I would have planned on being equipped with the knowledge to use it. Because...Well, I like staff-like weapons, spears, bowstaffs, staffs, scythes, bardiches, etc...I'll live with a staff, but the only reason I mention the use of a scythe is because my original character design entails him with a scythe as a weapon.

well, most necromancers either carry a cursed item or a wand. However, what would you say to having a cursed scythe? i'll give you the details if you're interested.

Ok, as the name implies, it's a cursed scythe. You can never let go of it. You can switch hands, but it never leaves your body. It continually absorbs your Majicka around the clock. Whenever you kill someone with your scythe, they become your zombie slave for 3 hours. BUT, you can only convert 4 people at a time. If you kill a mage, you absorb their Majicka, so they cannot be spell-casting zombies, but it will allow you to summon 1 extra dead soldier for 5 hours. How does that sound?

I will say this, though. ALL magic-users are called Mages, there is no other classification.
Note for everyone: It is a 10 day walk to the docks no matter which city you started from. We're on a wide continent, so it's not that tall. It's a 2 day sail with perfect weather (which you will get none) and another 3 week trek on the second continent.

I can deal, sounds fun. But to make this clear...I can only use the weapon to turn slain victims into zombies, up to 4 max, unless I kill a mage, which for 5 hours raises my max zombie limit to 5. Correct?
Also, is my scythe going to be my only means of minion aquisition? Or can I as a mage summon them with a limit other than the scythe?
Are there potions or other items to restore majicka?
What will happen if I let go of my scythe? Or should I consider it magical super glue?
Do you have a set spell list or do you want us to make our own?

No, it is a separate zombie all together. And you can only raise those you kill with the scythe, due to the fact that it's cursed.
Yes, the scythe will. And no, your summoning would be limited to just the scythe.
Majicka can only be restored by time. The scythe absorbs yours at a constant rate, so you don't exactly have any to spare, but you don't lose more than you have.
You can't let go of it, ever. It can be switched from hand to hand, but you are bound by it. (For reference, read Those Who Hunt Elves. Or play Ragnarok Online.)
For the most part, I want you all to be creative, but depending on the spell, I WILL categorize it in High, Mid, or Low. In a rare case, Legendary (Which is basically a one-time spell that will {depending on how much Majicka you have and have left} either drain you for the day, or send you into a coma for 2 days.)
Well, if you have exactly none or close to it, you go into a coma for a period of time. However, go over and yes, you will die.
Yes, you may come back later, but it will have to be re-evaluated.
You will, but you can only kill a Live Player if they consent to it. Do remember, even if you kill a Mage, you just absorb their Mana. Mage zombies can NOT cast spells.

No. All traveling must be done on foot, unless you want to die. ANY kind of transportation will get you targeted by every single person around you. Plus, you have no reason to get there before Crimson Blue, because Ceremony is making the month-long Journey BEFORE the Mana is released from the flower. There's no point in waiting in the Forsaken Lands twiddling your thumbs, know what I mean? We're all already the first ones to leave.

Caprica and Brisbain are just the biggest, and at the same time, worst cities in the country and are at the southern most tip of the bottom continent. It's not the only ones in the world. Villages, towns and cities litter this population, and there are other ways of getting around if you have connections or money.

We're not meant to make it in time. We're just preparing because no one knows the exact time, and there are many more people who left on the same day, but live on the shore. Get it? We, the more powerful people of the story, take our time because we can survive it, and we have full confidence in our abilities.
Also, NOTE: Chrono, please don't kill ALL of the horde, I have a plan in my next post.

Alright, I'm just going to go with my Necromancer. I felt I would have more of a story to build since he has a reason to do what is needed to get the Mana droplet. As much fun as I would have with making art come to life, I will just have to put it aside. Anyway...Nice and detailed just for you, Shinzuu. At the end it says "Never to be seen again." I am planning on making my enterance mid RP. That is whenever I can get off the bench and onto the field.

Magic Type (If Mage)/Weapons (If Normal): Dark, Necromancy.
Age: 38
Height: 6’2
Species: Human.
Clothing: Black hooded cloak over a loose black shirt tucked into black pants. A black leather belt.
Features: Has the face of L from Deathnote, wide eyes with blackened edges.
Bio: Alistair from a young age was placed into a dark magic school by his father. There he learned dark and deadly spells. On his tenth birthday he accidentally hexed a teacher with an extremely difficult spell which took several hours to remove. The spell caused his teacher to drain majicka at an alarming rate, luckily it was removed before he died. Two years later he managed to bring his bird back from the dead, it was only for a few moments but he did it.
A year later his father killed his mother for an unknown reason, he almost killed Alistair as well but before he could he returned to his normal self not knowing what he did. At the end of that year his father killed himself over what he had done. The next week Alistair was expelled from the school without any reason. Unknown to the school he had taken a very powerful spell book full of an extraordinary amount of spells. He moved into his grandparent’s house and lived there until he was eighteen.
Through those years he learned a few spells from the book he had stolen. A month later he decided to enroll into a different magic school in another city. He had earned enough money from working to move there and into a small house. He later enrolled into the new school after moving to the city. It was a year before he actually enrolled into the school. After he did he studied there for ten years.
About five years into the school he met a girl, Vivian. She was studying the same art as him and she was extremely bright. She graduated at the top of her class along with him. They started seeing each and after two years they were married. After Alistair was 35 he and Vivian decided to move out of that city and into a house out in the woods. There they practiced their more powerful spells where no one could see them.
A year later, during some spell practice one of Vivian’s spells backfired and killed her. Alistair was stricken with immense grief, he tried desperately to bring her back to life but to no avail. He found a spell that would do it, but when he cast it he himself almost died it was so powerful. He went unconscious for a few days as a result. After almost committing suicide he decided to preserve his wife until one day he could be strong enough to bring her back. After that he moved back into the city.
A few months into the move he was told of an enchanted scythe by a wandering merchant. He was told it would grant the user immense power, he quickly purchased the staff, which wasn’t even all that expensive. But when he took the scythe out of it’s wrappings, he noticed he couldn’t let go. He also felt as if it was draining his power. Quickly he tried to return it, but the merchant refused. Enraged, Alistair killed the merchant. After killing him he noticed the scythe’s power…Anyone he killed transformed into his own personal minions. That very day he returned home, grabbed his book and left the city, never to be heard from again.

So yes, along those lines. Remember, you can only cast 13 spells in 1 day. Be wary.

well, i did say to run spells by me before you use them. Gabag's actually been the most active, next to Cuddles. Well, I've been running through a few things here and there for magic classification, though. Originally, I was going to give you and Gabag to use the popular spell, flare, but the nature of it makes it fall more into the Affinity-Sub: Fire-Explosives (Like Epoch). But if you want something to the same effect, you can do Affinity Imitation, like what you did earlier with the fire. However, keep in mind, they are all still high-level spells since they are not actual derivatives of other affinities, so you actually use more Majicka than others for simple spells.
This one is more for everyone, not just white: Keep watch on your Majicka. If you end up spending more than you have, you will be modded to either be dead or sent into a coma. I will be watching and reading, so be wary.

Effects: Drains the life from the target and gives it to the caster, nourishing him/herself and healing most wounds.
Side-effects: Sometimes illnesses transfer.
Notes: This is basically eating someone, without touching them. This also does not always result in death of the victim. But death is an unfortunate side-effect for them in most cases…
Spell name: Ossis-Munimentum
Effect: Creates a swirling bone shield around the caster. Which protects from most magic attacks. It also shreds any person who tries to pass through it.
Side-effects: Does not protect from below, or above. It also obstructs view a bit. Can only use if there are bones around.
Notes: It’s pretty self explanatory…
Spell name: Corpus-eruptum
Effects: Explodes targeted corpse.
Side-effects: Does not discriminate…Will harm anyone in range. Can only use on dead bodies.
Notes: N/A
Spell name: Ossis-complectus
Effects: The target is grabbed and held in place by bones from the ground.
Side-effects: Can only use if there are bones around. Hard to hit aerial targets.

Spell name: Pestilencia-proicio
Effects: Shoots a ball of plague ridden things at the target. Leeches, spiders, locusts, etc. Poisons and plagues the target, will usually end in death of target.
Side-effects: None

Spell name: Venifer-nebula
Effects: Spews out a cloud of poisonous gas from a corpse minion of choice.
Side-effects: Does not discriminate, anyone in this cloud will be affected. Can only be used if a corpse minion is present.

Effects: Brings to life skeletal minions that fight for the caster.
Side-effects: Sometimes the minions may turn on the caster. There also needs to be skeletal bodies around.

Ok, this is really pissing me off now. First Chrono, now Gabag, seem to not like to read posts to find out where we are. SO let me explain it AGAIN. We are a full day's walk away from the town (where the wolves are feeding and Gabag was sleeping), and it is now the next night. If you guys want to get in on the action, please make the journey over to it and not just God-mod the fight backwards towards the end of town. Second thing, it's a full sea of monsters that had filled and killed the whole town. It's not going to be a visible circle.

I designed this RP so that people can be CREATIVE. Though I don't exactly approve of Chrono's staying with his new pet wolves, he is doing a very good job at doing what this RP is designed to do. He knows that he's not going to keep those for long, so he's making the best of it. I don't see why you couldn't have posted something while I was at work. And frankly, as I stated in Kin Chronicles, your actions towards this RP is very offensive to me. Everyone on this Forum knows what you are doing and when. Your activities and loggings are not a secret. So even though you had said to skip you, you have had a good chance to post your share and had posted elsewhere outside of the RP (Including this OOC), so I'm giving you Strike 2. If you want a reason for this, refer to the Kin Chronicles OOC.

Moderator self speaking: You need to keep that attitude in check. One of the few times that Shinzuu has actually responded to you with a level-head and not been disrespectful, you still give attitude back. Maybe that's why he doesn't bother being nice to you because it doesn't matter if he is or not, you either ignore it or respond with an attitude.

Come on Gabag, you can't just give up like this. I mean the RP hasn't even gone that far yet, and you do very well in Kin Chronicles, so why can't you continue here? I'm not trying to say anything bad, but I appreciate it when Shinzuu critiques my work because he actually improves my posts, I don't notice all the conflicting issues in my words sometimes and he helps me. I have made a few here and there and he has made things much more descriptive and more understandable, I'm sure as long as you talk with him you could work things out. Communication is key here, we are all a team in this RP after all right?

AFTER I intro him. We're not gonna immediately fill Gabag's place. However, i've been skeptical, lately, about letting Entaru in since he's been going missing for about 2 days at a time. My RP requires posting everyday, no exceptions. So if he won't be able to hold the quota for now, I'll have to push him further down the line. I invented them, but their ownership is to the Rp collective.... I know about the 1 Character limit, but since I really get limited on what to post (in my imagination), I came up with the Tri'Malis guild, you guys (and gal) can have them appear and harrass you if you wish.
I just don't want to constantly say "skip" because the gist I do is walking :P

my mage is out of commission, and, mind you, I ended the battle early. Technically, you were only 20 minutes into the fight, so you do the math. You won't be abducted since this whole fight was watched and regulated. As I stated before in the RP, only those 5 ships cross over. Your family's ship was either forced to cross before or after the ships make their sail. The society is heavily based on tradition, and to go against it means death.

pretty much. remember that when mages become your zombie slaves, they can't cast spells because your scythe drains them of it all. Also, so that your character's not broken, and to fit the profile, you will have to kill 2 mages instead of 1 in order to cast a spell.

No. You will not be able to unless the conditions are fulfilled for you to cast any spells. Remember, the scythe continually drains you of Majicka, so you don't have any to spare to actually cast any spells.

Bio: Ukko was a lonely child growing up, he liked to have fun but he was usually a loner, his tendency to snap at any moment discouraged other children from befriending him, he had never known his parents and lived with his ill aunt for most of his life and soon she passed away. He lost control after that, he fled to the canyons and lived there for a year, he learned about the earth how it appeared calm but could release sudden and explosive violence, just like him. It was there that he became an earth mage, shaping the canyons and making sculptures of whatever his creative mind dreamed up, when the year was over he rejoined society and got various jobs until he had found something to make him money and that he liked to do, making sculptures with his magic, he now had enough income to keep him slightly above the average lifestyle, he now spends most of his time inside his library or youtside admiring the earth. But now the mana drop is about to fall, and he wants it.

Well, to make sure your character's not broken, I've put a time limit on you to use the spells. We don't want you to get too much power. So I will say that after your second kill, you have 4 hours before the Majicka disappears.

summoning of skeleton warriors or mages. only thing is, they can only cast 1 type of spell from this list (fire, ice, lightning, poison). As for other spells, we had negotiated that you can manipulate the bones of the dead around you as shields, barriers, and (I just added this one) spears. (1 dead body = 1 massive bone spear.)
Cast limit per 2 mage kills = either 1 summon or 5 bone spells.
let's leave at this for now.

Chrono, you can't just kill the dragon just like that. You're the size of its toenail and its scales are even stronger than magic. No Friggin way you can even cut it up by yourself. Or even Ember's spell, for that matter. The only objects that were created for anti-magic were armour, not weapons. Unless you have a mage next to you enchanting it, weapons do nothing against high-level and mid-level spells.

Basically, a mage MUST be in close proximity at all times for the weapon to remain enchanted. The magic will for a rune around the weapon and make it stronger and more durable. However, if the mage dies or gets separated too far from the weapon and/or weapon user, the runes disappear.

Let's go with the gambling cards if they're much like the normal 52-type (Ace, King, Queen, Jack...ect. of all four suits). If not, I'll probably have to do a bit of research into what type of tarot card-face to use.

The name usage of face cards are more arcane, rather than our version. (i.e. Knave instead of Jack) Also, it's more than just 52 cards. It's actually got 2 extra cards per suit for a total of 60 card decks.

no, normals can to. It's the same curse, but the side-effects are different. It's always different, depending on the person who's got their hands on it.

Quick question, would my cursed weapon be unaffected by his? Since it has great cutting power, It leaves me to ask if it would affect my weapon. Considering they're both cursed in nature, maybe they render eachother useless. I just don't want to rush in, get some contact with his weapon, then you yell at me.

Cuddles, I reminded Shinzuu that you had asked a question about the effect of Cursed Weapons on each other. His answer was that the weapons are indestructible so they can't break each other, but if you get hit by the chameleon's lightning it will still effect you.

My character doesn't know how close one of the parents are, he just knows that it's a young worm that's too young to be on it's own. So he gave a few options that he knew right off the top of his head.

I was planning on having a way to cook the worms from the inside-out since my character knows enough of their biology to make them attack each other. But I won't be able to post in the RP until after I get back from work. (Currently approaching 1pm my time, it won't be until 11pm before I get back)

Sorry to call you out on a couple of things, but my character is just a little smaller than you in height and I saw no specification for weight on your profile (also, all the images you used during then were broken). So unless you're a football player among mages, you won't be so heavy that my character could not carry you. Also, since "normals" would be more dependent on their muscles than mages would, he would be stronger than he looks.

I think a fireman's carry would have to do more than a drag or a piggyback carry... but I wouldn't be able to do it for very long considering his size compared to mine. But since Chrono took over the carry, guess I'll make my character a definite accuracy with throwing weapons, natural agility (coupled with "functional clothing"/light armor), and stealth individual since everyone else has magic in the group and Chrono's got the size going on.

the venom isn't poisonous, but just think of it as a paralysis venom.

Ya'know... depending on how everything goes after this mission, my character might end up being a doctor and using this scorpion venom as a painkiller. And since it requires to be absorbed through the bloodstream, it has to have an open wound to work with, perfect for dentists and other doctors.
And anyone else wondering what's going on and possibly thinking "Eww...", you may find out why soon enough on what Vosur's doing with a scorpion venom-sac.

When I made my character ask that, I was intending one mage to answer it to see if they studied outside of their magics. Because my character is a mercenary and has to travel from place to place often, he has wilderness-smarts or else he wouldn't have survived long. He just hates bugs.

Just because you're a dragon doesn't mean it would have absolutely no effect. Plus, it's not like she can't do regular combat...or have you not noticed her taking people's swords from them during fights and killing them with them? Haha.
But anyways, Lazaryos gets the final blow...and I'll be honest in saying that Ember won't be happy (which shouldn't be a surprise), but she will be glad that he's dead.

Bio:
Dante from a young age lived a miserable life. His father was abusive to both him and his mother. But Dante was protective of his mother, often when his father tried to harm her he stood in the way. That meant he took the worst of the beating, mostly until his father passed out from beating him so much or went to drink more. The first time Dante did it he discovered none of it hurt, he couldn’t feel pain, or anything for that matter. The beatings made Dante a resilient kid, often taking hits with his glued on angry face. But he was a very nice person at heart. When he was eight his father killed his mother and he was taken away by a church. He learned the way of God and was cared for by the priests.
They taught him from then on how to heal people through magic. He learned healing spells for years, when he was fifteen he was granted a weapon that would act as an extension of his magic abilities, allowing him to perform greater healing spells with less hassle. It was a rather large cross, it was a made of a very hard and thick wood of sorts. The longer end of it was whittled down to form somewhat of a grip, which was also tightly wrapped in a cloth. It was primarily used to more easily handle the weapon, though it wasn’t intended to be a weapon, Dante was strong enough to wield it as such. At least after years of practice. But due to the size, he tended not to use it as a weapon and instead trained with monks to learn some hand to hand skills. The priests didn’t like him doing such but didn’t punish him for it. Two years he practiced with his cross, another year of healing magic and his final two years training with the monks.
When Dante finally left his masters at the age of twenty he heard of the Mana droplet. A deep desire to be able to cure himself of his disease(CIP, the one that makes him not feel pain. Granted in this RP he has a much worse case of it that doesn’t allow him to feel anything, rather than just pain) so he can for the first time know what it feels like to feel things. He wanted to obtain the Mana Droplet to amplify his powers to allow him to do such, because he nor the priests were able to on their own.
If you didn’t catch it, Dante can’t feel things. Not things like feelings, but like pain, softness, heat, cold, etc.

I'm assuming that if the scythe handle is covered, it would be at least somewhat safe for Chrono to carry it without getting cursed, but I'll change the post if I'm wrong...

Shinzuu says that it would have to be something Holy that covered it, like something like a cloth that has been dipped in Holy Water. But that if your character is desperate enough, he can have the scythe...he'll just be cursed.

If you're talking about the Tear cursed item that Lazaryos talked about in the RP, then he says your chances of finding it are pretty much zero because no one has known where it is for hundreds of years.

Most of what my character carries are hidden in his clothes, something that would be useful to an assassin-like mercenary. A back-sitting above-the-hip pouch under the overshirt (holding the waterskin), smaller pouches along the front (cards and a venom-gland in the three used ones, two other empty ones) , then thigh-pockets and shin cargo-pockets (both empty) are what he'd have.
I figured I should be a bit more descriptive in his clothing. >.<

Shinzuu probably won't post until late tonight or tomorrow morning. We didn't get home until 10:45 last night then we had to leave at 8:15 this morning to get him to work at 9:15, and he works a 12 1/2 hour shift today because he said he'd cover someone else's shift, so once again we won't be home until 10:45. 2) no, there is no such thing as blessed weapons. However, there are certain holy-based light mages who have the power to remove curses and the like, but are extremely rare to come by and are usually clergy that are neutral and work in churches, in which we are in a continent where none exist.

Dangit, what about armor that the only normal who received the Mana made? I would guess that since the armor that every other normal has is "based-upon" that type, it wouldn't be a strong, but still stronger than what it would have been before the Mana came into a normal's grip.

The armors are only resistant to magic, it is for all types, no matter what the affinity. However, like you said, they have a limit before magic breaks right through.

Sgntcuddles, I'm making a really big guess with the build/weight of your character. You only specified 7'1'' as the height. But he can't exactly be a "toothpick" to carry around a hammer-like cross.

Normally really small, but when fighting his muscles show up. So...Average build, not fat, not skinny, in shape...No visible muscles until he's serious you could say.

I'll change my post if needed, but I figured that this way was the most-vulnerable way to leave him since he relies on his speed. If he had the sword in hand or was upright, he'd be at less of a disadvantage than the others.

Alright, I've got two targets and the problem is that I have only one card. This goes a little against my nature, but who would you think I should target? The silver fox mage (who has the control over the netting) to release everyone else or the one who has all of their gear (except the three that are carrying Dante's cross) to retrieve the rest of his cards to possibly make a counter-offensive with his full gear?
Now the reason why I'm split between the two is that he can get out of the ropes as soon as they stop due to the way only his ankle is caught, but his ankle is still dislocated... preventing him from doing a lot of things without being in serious pain. He already is in terrible condition for leg-movement from being dragged-about by his ankle the whole time, so him running away from the situation is close-to-nil.
Also, he may look familiar to the guild members, particularly with the silver fox since there's a little history with him... but they'd probably brush off the deja-vu or consider him a ghost since they believe that Vosur Aekira is dead and that he looks fairly different due to the hair/tail/eye color-changes.

Edit: Sgt., Vosur's probably in the worst state of mind he's ever been in. Normally he would end the suffering of a dying person out of respect and humane behavior, but he's letting the person suffer as he knows how bad the card is impaled into the diaphragm, and is causing more damage each time the mage breathes.

Bio: Born within a rich family of high mages and granted the best education, he improved his skills from the age of 16 when both of his parents died during the fight for mana. At the age of 20 he found the foes fully prepared and tortured them until their death. An evil grin followed by sparkling eyes marked the change of his overall behavior. He now became a morbid, nihilistic and somber lunatic. With his serene look he continued torturing even innocent people for his amusement. Fortunately for the others he got eventually bored of the same routine at the age of 30 and attended at the high academy of magic to get his diploma and lately live out of the money provided from the job known as dragon slaying. Unbelievable…a post meant for warrior being taken by a mage. Now how did that happen? Very simple, with the power to control the conscious and subconscious of any creature, he managed to manipulate others' mind and thus whole body, determining them to commit suicide. Anyway he continued studying the forbidden arts of psychokinesis hidden good from the rest of the world. He was developing probably the greatest type of magic yet. Finally at the age of 50 he began embracing apprentices who he expects to live long enough to catch the next mana.

I modified it as you requested. Still I couldn't stand the eyes idea so I kept them, but with lesser abilities. :P I find bright eyes capable of pulsating light quite interesting, also psychokinesis since no one didn't use it as a element until now.

Bleh, that was not one of my better posts... and I don't think I'm in a good enough mind to change it at the moment either. Also, my character isn't killing anymore due to no longer "needing" to kill to get to his goal... he's just disabling to sort of "push aside" those that are getting in his way. But he is getting more and more ragged as time is going on due to not being able to move about as he should. By the time this fight's over with, he'll have a cannon ball size swollen ankle.

@Nycram: there are only 6 elements - fire, earth, wind, water, light and darkness. psychokinesis would fall under light, however, you must remember that my rules base that if you are to choose a sub-category, that is your only ability. Meaning that if you choose to have psychokinesis, that will be your only ability as a Mage.

I must disagree. Psychokinesis can be perceived as dark or light or cosmic. It applies for all the elements if you stay to think of it more cautiously. Because once the ability itself is triggered, it can control any kind of creature having a brain regardless of being elemental beast or just normal animal. Once the target of synapse is reached, it enhances the user of psychokinesis to manipulate the whole nervous system and thus, the whole body...even thoughts. This however should be as I stated in my characters' profile as a non-elemental type of magic...one of unknown. A new genre of magic itself I'd say. It should be called "forbidden" magic since it refers to all the elements and states of matter. And from the thing you said that I can't use more than 1 subcategory, I comprehend as my eye ability related to light of being invalid, am I right? Very well, I'll remove it if you so desire...but then what feature should I add? Just give me an idea, I'm currently low on imagination so I might use some advice.

unfortunately, in this RP, Cosmic Magic is separated into light and dark. I'm well aware of magic-lore and fantasy magic of every type. However, there are domains within this RP to limit people's powers. Your personal designs based on original magic-lore do not apply here.

this RP is based on its own realm, and does not follow traditional fantasy- and magic-lore. if you cannot conform to it, then i cannot accept you. i place limits on this RP so that no one becomes too powerful. Even though you give a better app than anyone else (including myself), it just does not fall within the realm. Rules form a challenge. To struggle and push through those challenges are what make an RP fun and what makes it last. If there were no limits, there would be no real story or fun.

I've got an idea... but I may have to play with it a little bit after I know exactly for sure of the setting. Is this a "small" oasis-like area in the desert or a larger forest-like oasis that we've run into?

We're in the heart of the main forest that runs along the river. We're at the half-way point through the TG's territory. Well, a little more than half-way since we just ran out of their little forest village (for what it generally looks like, refer to the movie, "Robinhood: Prince of Thieves"). Beyond their territory, there's several ways to make the last 3-week voyage. Those who pay the guild enough, get the safe passage (which we will not be so lucky to take), and the rest are through desert, palms or both. of course, plenty of fights along the way.

So it's basically like he could taunt Lazaryos then attack Ember without worrying the Lazaryos will sneak in an attack in the process, in the armor guy's mind anyway.
But Shinzuu did just say that after Vosur does his post, it will become free posting for the remainder of the battle. He will still be posting in between all of us though.

Nope. Ember was walking in circles around the group to occupy her restlessness since Vosur said they should wait until night to continue walking, but then Dante decided that he was going to carry Lazaryos, so he got up and started walking. Vosur followed after him and Ember moved to walk at the front of the group after she stopped circling when Dante got up.

I hope nothing bad happens. Today has been exceptionally good for me. First I get up, go to the bank, my friend finds extra money in his account. He pays all the bills until almost the end of next month, we go to the store and get some groceries. On the way out we pick up some chicken from the deli and the guy gives us a couple free bread rolls and extra chicken. We go to the gas station before heading home and from there we find TWO 12 packs of coke just sitting in the street. And now my computer magically loses it's viruses which was crippling it last night.

The first time you had comp issues, it WAS me. But someone had been trying to decode my IP re-router to monitor my activities, so I only did a temp fix that time (You're never on, so I had to force my way through). However, this time, it was magic as I was not able to work on your comp for 3 reasons:
1) I was at work.
2) My comp's finally kicked the bucket after 9 years of usage.
3) I still haven't found out who had been trying to trace my activities.
So to help you through LEGAL channels, I'd like you to download and install the newest version of Teamviewer so I can legally give you remote tech support tomorrow. I have no work, so just PM me what time you're available and I will jump on to help you remove the virus completely and set you up with adequate protection against viruses.

Alright... I may not be able to change my post because when I asked about the Rampart Clan, Ruby (my character's departed-wife) was supposedly from that clan if going by what Lazaryos had mentioned quite a few posts back. He was asking if Lazaryos had seen any Rampart clan members among the Guild members since he only saw and spoke directly to her father and mother.
And even still, even though his question wasn't answered (since you didn't say "Yes I did see some" or "No I didn't see any"), I made my character explain why he was asking Lazaryos that question since Ember didn't understand.

Cuddles, my character has on his body: a belt about his waist with the pouches for his cards/herbs(those pouches currently empty)/venom-gland from one of the scorpion, a waterskin on the back of his hips right above his belt, and cargo pockets right near the knees on the sides of his pants (think of military uniform-pants type of pockets). He improvised a couple of bags from the gazelle skins, which is carrying the preserved and cooked food.

Can't really post anything worthwhile unless I straighten something out. I think I have two dragons on my heels, the fire-breather managing to leave a wave of fire in front of the group (which is why Ember reacted with her own fire) and the lightning dragon being closer to myself than the fire-breather. The fire-breather has Chrono attacking at its legs, which I thought the fire-dragon was a little too high to reach unless he somehow got on the fire-dragon's back (in the attempt to get his second sword).
Do I have the main action in the scene right so far?

But something to think about... since there was mention of one Normal managing to get the Mana and being in control of himself enough to give the Normals a defense against Majicka (armor smithing techniques that resisted Majicka), how did he manage to get it and become sane enough to use that power in that way?

well, i was gonna wait until later in the fight, but i guess it'd be easier to just tell you here. the Mana is actually evil and dark, but what makes it so is because it changes the one who obtains it to be maniacal in their greatest obsession, and sees their immediate party and anyone who doesn't agree as an opposition to that obsession. the last Normal that obtained it had an obsession to protect his children from a possible takeover from magic users, which is what drove him to produce magic-smithing. every bit of armour that's magic-resistant was constructed by him only, and that's all he did until the day he died, which was only 30 years after he obtained the Mana. That's why I made sure throughout the RP to state how worn magic resistant armours were.
